I am good, met up with Prama and Poopy today, he has grown so much and such a little cutie. I can just imagine him being a real heartbreaker in school Prama!!! Oh bugger on the not sleeping. DJ had another sleep from around 5:45 til 8pm tonight, so holding him off from putting him back down so he will sleep well through the night. Hopefully.... he had his whole bottle tonight and dinner so fingers crossed. Going to give him a top-up feed before I put him down as well, so fingers crossed.
Bron - that is great your parents came over and yeah routines, what routine, totally goes out the window as soon as they hit a growth spurt or something haha
Skye - I agree with the others, counselling is probably a good thing. Take care sweetie, and feel free to vent if you need to.
SJ and Danni - haha yeah DJ is doing the same thing and is sooooo quick!!! I have to be super quick to move dangerous things out of his reach.....
Well, I better iron some clothes to wear to work tomorrow. Have a great night girls
Skye: Good on you for wanting to keep BF, the longer you can do it, the better. Don't let others pressure you into stopping or into raising a "tough boy" You raise him the way you think is best and he'll turn out how he turns out. He's only 8 months old, he's still a baby so there is no reason not to treat him like a baby!
I would have loved to have kept BF Jazz for a bit longer but it just got too hard for me to keep expressing while working and my supply dried up.
Has anyone's bubs started showing preference to a certain hand? Jazz is using her right hand more I've noticed when she is holding and grabbing for things.
I feel like she has become a different baby overnight (all of a sudden on Sunday night she was different). Not a bad different, just more "grown up"
I was holding a 2 month old on Sunday, he was so little and light. Also a friend of mine had a baby 5 days ago. I got all clucky. I told Matt that I don't want another baby for a couple of years at least, but I want to be pregnant again, I loved being pregnant (except for the last 2 weeks when I was just too huge). I miss that. Ah well, we'll probably be trying when Jazz is 2 years old so that hopefully our 2nd will be born around Jazz's 3rd birthday. (that is if it doesn't take us a year to conceive like it did with Jazz)
Well, last night after finally getting him to sleep he woke again at 8pm but nursed him back to sleep coz he wouldn't stop screaming...... then I tried to give him a dreamfeed at 10pm but he took around 80ml then didn't wake up until 2am for a feed which I thought was good and then 6:30, so not too bad considering the early part of the night I had...... but no tooth hahahahaha I think he is going to give me a hellish night and he will cut more than 1.....haha like his uncle. my mum said within one week my brother got 8 teeth by the time he was 1 year old, but within one week.!!!! she said it was horrible!!! Anyway shall see I suppose..... He doesn't seem too bad this morning, sounds a bit chesty again.... seriously never seems to get better and I woke up with a sore throat again...... I am finally going to the osteo today so going to ask him about DJ as well and see if he thinks he needs another alignment. Maybe that has something to do with his reccuring infections and disturbed sleep.... Who knows but worth a try....
How is everyone else? Good sleep?
Danni - yeah I don't think I will be having another one for at least 3-4 years but alot of people say to me it is best to get both out of the way.... but I think I just need to concentrate on the one first haha
Skye - how ridiculous is the weather hey? It is cold and rainy in Sydney as well soooo cold, have jacket, long socks on and all.....
SJ - thanks for your well wishes..... wasn't a bad night....
Well, I better get some serious housework done. Got so much to do today.... Also got to buy some baby stuff to take to mums on Friday, go to osteo and get a wax done and a body scrub (bring on the body scrub - getting a fake tan tomorrow night).
Hi girls,
Sorry no reply for a while - things are a bit crazy.
We've had our first word - dad-dad-dad - very exciting.
Shell, sorry to hear that you are having a rough time. Teeth caused havoc with us - even though it says in Babylove that 'teething causes nothing but teeth'... After 10 days of night waking, grizzles and midnight feeds again, I beg to differ!!!
Bjrose - hang in there darl. Bfing is a personal thing - so I understand that it's sometimes hard to even contemplate giving it up. I breastfed for about 8 weeks after going back to work but I ended up with plenty of milk, but not much quality, so I stopped. I think it might be harder to stop doing it when it comes down to choice and not because you have to. Look after yourself.
Hi to everyone else. Sorry for the short entry - going to try to have an early night after a crummy sleep last night!
Skye i stopped bf so that i can have some me time, i was going to do it part time but she decided that the bottle was much easier to drink. Its a personal choice, i was going to keep going because she is my last baby but my circumstances changed and i feel i made the right decision, i think you will know when you are ready.
SJ haha yep the cat and dog bowl are a nightmare, the amount of times ive found her eating dog biscuits yum yum..... As soon as they are mobile it's like everything changes, they become explorers and find things you would never see i vacuumed the other day and im a bit anal when doing the rug and after i found her picking up a christmas beetle off it, she can pick up the tinyest things now.
Bron my poor cat too haha, he still comes and lays down next to Summer the sweet boy but yes she climbs over the top of him, he is a big boy but is only 1 so im lucky they have grown up together. How you feeling?
Hi to everyone else sorry i haven't done more personals couldn't catch up on everything
im off to sydney this weekend to have a weekend with friends its the first time ever without summer for a night so not sure how that's going to go
So can't wait for the horrible side of teething to be over....... Summer has cut her 6th tooth and it is giving her so much trouble its the top front one.
Well I have packed the bags for both me and DJ, only a few more things to pack woooohoooo Got a spray tan done tonight so almost ready for Melbourne Yipeeee and I don't even care that the weather is going to be raining all weekend just being away and having a DJ-free weekend is enough for me I definitely think this is exactly what I need. I left work early today with headaches and headspins, I think from being overtired so had a rest and then picked up DJ.
Trina - wow 6th tooth, that is amazing, DJ hasn't even got a first one yet haha loved your photos on facebook, your girls are going to be heartbreakers when they get older.
Lily - I know what its like to have a crummy night sleep, hopefully you had a better night sleep
Hey guys.
I took the kids down to the beach this afternoon (sun was finally out for the day!) & OMG! You should've seen Jesse! He absolutely loved every second of it!
As soon as his feet touched the ground he was walking towards the water, then once he was in there he just kept going!
When the waves hit him, he laughed. When the water splashed his face he sucked the salt in around his lips & kept going & when I tried to sit him on the edge to give my back a break he'd take off on me! Back into the water & waves.
He looked so spunky in his boardies!! My little beach bum!
I put some pics on face book of a snake we found in mum's garde. Curled up next to the clothes line. It was pretty cool. I'm just about t put a few more pretty pics on of the beach & stuff. Been playing with mum's flashy camera.
Off to Coffs tomorrow shopping! Well paying off my chrissy layby's & putting more on.
I bought Jesse a little fold out couch with sleeping bag yesterday. Its neat. Bright red, he loves it. I thought coz it was big & so bright it would scare him (most balls & balloons o) but it doesn't bother him at all.
Everything is going so good ATM. The kids are happy. Jaz has sttled into her new school really well. I knew she would coz she knew alot of the kids from holidays & stuff.
We are going out to see Anth next weekend. We'll leave at around lunch on Thursday, or even after Jaz finishes school. Jesse hates the car & can't stand the 40 minutes to Coffs/Kempsey. He hates the trip out there, so hopefully if I leave late he will sleep the second half of it, which is usually when it gets too much for him.
Anyways, off to put these piccies on face book.
Night girlies!
