Danni good news re Matt and work????
Well we aren't going anywhere this weekend :(
I'm missing my reunion. Anth got his tax bonus thing, so we are registering his car instead :(:(
I tried to con him into using it to go out there, but we can't.
Not fair :( A friend I grew up with is going out there this weekend too, so I'm going to miss her as well. We only see each other every 3 - 4 years.
Plus my bestie. She just almost lost her last ovary after a cyst burst & made her really sick. She has to have IVF when she does want kids, but if she had've lost her ovary she'd have had no eggs, so she came close to never having a baby.
I really wanna go see her & give her a big hug & make her feel better. I haven't seen her since before I moved up here, & about 12 months before that :(
Oh well. Hey, we will be able to afford Easter eggs for the kids :)
That's gotta be a bonus!
Yes, sorry I forgot that I hadn't updated. We didn't get the loan to purchase the franchise, but he's been kept on as a sub-contract driver. The run that he was doing is far too busy for one person and he wasn't coping with it, he's now doing another run, still busy but better and I think he's about to change to a different one again soon permanently.
His body is still not used to the full-on-ness (made up word) of getting up at 5:30am every morning and running around all day (literally running). But he's getting there. He's totally exhausted by the time he gets home from work and is usually in bed by 9-9:30 and basically falls asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow.
Things between us have been getting better because he knows now that I was completely serious when I told him that if he doesn't make an effort and just quits this job because it's too hard without actively finding something else that the marriage would be over. He has wanted to quit the job at times because it's physically and mentally hard, but he hasn't because he doesn't want to lose me and Jazz.
He's been off anti-depressants for 2 or 3 months now and he's starting to care about things again, before he was incapable of feeling emotions and just didn't care about anything except himself, and even then he did't even really care about himself either. He's taking more pride in his appearance again and showering regularly again. He's stopped smoking dope and hasn't had any for a couple of weeks at least and has said that he doesn't want to have any either.
He's going to start coming back to church with me and Jazz as of this week, but he said that he'll only come when I'm not rostered on creche because he doesn't want me to leave his side...that's fine.
He's starting to make an effort and has finally recognised that he's been completely in the wrong all this time and that it was his fault that things got the way they got and has stopped blaming me. He's apologised for making my life hell and has realised that I've been putting in 110% while he's been putting in 0-5% in the relationship. He's more open to actually helping when I ask for help to get things done.
He's asked me to love him again like I used to, but I've explained that he's hurt me so badly that it's going to take time for him to earn my trust and total love back and that as a defence and coping mechanism I've built a wall around my heart to try and protect myself from being hurt and it's going to take a heck of a lot of effort on his part to break down that wall. He totally understands that.
So, I feel like I'm starting to get the man I fell in love with 5 or so years ago back at long last.
That sounds really good Danni.
After a while he'll be fit again & will be able to do the job backwards. He just needs to stick it out til then.
Glad things are going so well now :)
We spoilt Jazz last night and bought her a giant Upsy Daisy to go with her giant Igglepiggle. All through the shops she was say "updy daiddy"
When we got home she was asleep. Before I went to bed I sat all her ITNG toys on her Dora couch. (Big Igglepiggle & Upsy Daisy, talking IP and UD and soft MP). When she got up this morning she gave each of them a hug and then threw them down to get to the next one.
Thats great news Danni, so glad that things are looking up for you.
Anto D's dont always work for all people and combined with dope it can be quite a downer, the motivation leaves and so too does any emotion. It must have been a really hard time for you
Great that he is off the dope too, that will help in the long run, and hopefully will help chnge him back into a happy person, its amazing how little changes build up over time and then suddenly you are looking at someone that you dont really know... thats whats so bad about dope, that and the anger (that they usually insist they dont have )
Anyway - thats great news for you all :)
Skye, So sorry you didnt get to go to your reunion, i hope that you are not too disappointed  on the plus side, great to have wheels again thou :)
Starting to feel a bit better.
Got sent home from work yesterday (too sick), but that just means i have to work at home on the weekend :(
Made chocolate crackle easter baskets yesterday and home made chocolates... bought some little chicks and ave decorated them as pressies from MJ... they look OK, will post a pic at some stage (im really slack with updating pics)
Going away for a night tomorrow, looking forard to it, regular place with friends, you may rememeber, school house place.
Anyway, gotta go, maybe BBL... have a great day everyone
Wishing that we had got some hot cross buns...I really want some now but nothing's open.
Lol, Danni I got some plain ones yesterday, then rang mum in Coffs & got her to get me some of the bakers delight chocolate ones.
Only I think the kids have eaten them all!
I just ate a lunch of chocolate and vanilla coke (healthy!)
I was outside hanging out Jazz's washing and asked Matt to give her some lunch. She wouldn't take the food when he was trying to feed it to her so he put the bowl down. Then he put his head out the door and said "sorry Danni" and I was thinking oh no, what's happened. Came in to find Jazz with her hands in a bowl of spaghetti having the time of her life, covered up to her elbows and all over her face with spaghetti sauce. When I walked in she was having fun picking up handfulls of ravioli and throwing it on the floor!
Matt said "I'm not cleaning her up" (typical!) So I went and ran the bath, came out and undressed her while she was in the highchair and then told Matt that he had to clean up the floor, so he did.
Lol, Danni!
Did you take some pics?
Thats how MJ eats all the time, we dont feed her cos of BLS and although she is almost there she hasnt quite mastered the spoon...
She loves spagetti and most days she finishes her meal with a food facial!!!
Dinner always results in a bath!
danni that's so cute!!!!!!
so glad that matt's doing heaps better!
im so happy for you!
skye - love your signature on jesse
sj - hope you are better... hugs
we had a great time at poopy's DC yesterday, he was the only one fr his age group, the others were older kids. they were all so cute!!
he looked so cute in his hat, so i think we did a great team effort!
and the DC is organising a mother's day night, all the mums come and have a good time without kids (unless thety want to) and there's a raffle to win a massage. how nice is that!!!
i so love being a mum!!!
SJ, What's BLS?
Skye no, didn't take pics
Prama you are sounding quite happy which is nice. How are you doing with things now? Been thinking of you.
I can't stand letting Jazz feed herself messy foods (I need to let her, I know). I can't stand when kids are messy. Seriously, I wipe her face all the time. I don't let her touch me when she's messy. The other day when I picked her up from daycare she was eating half an easter egg and had chocolate all over her hands. I was fully dressed up because I'd been meeting with VIPs at work so when I walked in and saw her hands with chocolate on them I stepped back and said "don't touch mummy" so Pat (FDC lady) quickly cleaned her up for me.
Danni - BLS is baby led solids. You put a range os foods in front of bub's & they choose what they want & feed them selves.
Jesse feeds himself. The only time I feed him is if we share my yoghurt. Which he loves, so we share them all, lol!
He eats custard & all that stuff himself. I'll sometimes feed him more towards the end, just to make sure some of the spoon stuff went in!
He loves his food & loves his high chair :) He goes to his high chair now when he's hungry & kinda tries to lift himself up a bit & makes a noise so I know he's hungry, lol.
Prama - Thanks hun :)
I agree with Danni. You sound alot happier!!
thanks skye and danni - means a lot. yes, i think im happier at the moment, cos i have 4 solid days w poopy. and he's developing into his own person. but i also have my down days.. it's hard. i just tried to fight the depression.
skye - when are the kids appointments? bri has one this month doesnt she?
Yeah Prama. I remembered Bri's appt today. With the speech therapist on the 16th.
Now I don't know what to do. Anthony's mum & dad are coming up tomorrow to pick the girls up & take them out to their place for the holidays.
I want them to go, coz I promised we'd take them out there, butnow we'll miss that appointment & Jazz will be out there for her birthday too.
I dunno what I'll do with myself :( No kids for 2 weeks?? Well no girls anyway. Jesse & I will be lost without them!
My sister just put Jesse to sleep for me :( Its great, but sad at the same time.
He didn't want me or booby (he did have it not long ago though). He also stayed at mum & dad's ALL night last night!
He did wake up at about 5.30am, but mum walked around with him outside & instead of just getting more & more upset til he won't settle & she rings me, he settled down & went back to sleep til about 8.30! Even had a bottle which he usually screams at when he's tired!
My beautiful little man is growing up :(
What am I gonna do??
would it be possible to take the girls after the appt? you waited a long while for it, and it;s better that bri gets checked as soon as possible.
the boys are growing up so quick arent they.. day care said poopy's ready for the next level up, graduating fr the baby group.. he's going to be w all the toddlers. i feel happy and sad at the same time. because he;s walking so well, he's moving up..
maybe jesse's sleeping habits are changing again?
Danni, as Syke said BLS is basically letting your baby fed themselves. i dont even feed her yoghurt, she can spoon it in herself now. To start with it was incredibly messy (so probably not for you) it take more time and patience, but has a lot of long term benefits.
Im very coo with mess, i guess sometimes too cool i think, but she is not grubby, i just clean her up frequently afetr she gets messy!!!
MJ doesnt get a variety of foods anymore, as she is eating full meals, so she gets whatever we are eating, so tonight it was Spaghetti Marinara, so funny!!! (we eat together at 5.30pm)
Skye, i am dreading the day that MJ stops wanting a feed, i think the fact that she is with Mum one night a week makes her love it even more. It is good for you that Jesse will go down for other people. If i am at home, it has to be me still, tonight she feed to sleep, other nights she will go down awake, but i have to stay with her til she is asleep, its quite cute, she keeps checking, but liftng her head to see if i am still in the room... Annoying at times, but it will pass and it will be something else that they let go of... DSS kisses us goodnight and we dont go in anymore... i miss tucking him in and story time...
Wow 2 weeks without the girls, make the most of the special time with Jesse, you will miss them thou.
Prama, great to hear you so positive, Take care of yourself when you have to go back to work and enjoy the fact that it is only a short week.
Did you take pics of poopy in his Bonnet?
Thanks for all your tips re the flight, i really have to stop worrying... i cant believe i am leaving in 2 weeks, it has come up so fast.
sj - you cant help but worry. it's a very long trip and not easy w a kid, but ppl are very generous and will come and help. all will be well. the first time we flew i packed so much for poopy. too much.
it;s good that the weather in the uk will be similar to here, so you dont have to pack different stuff. will you be in london?
im afraid i was so busy taking the video i forgot to take photos. i left his hat behind but will get it on tues. so will take a picture then..
poopy falls asleep on the boob still but still goes to sleep if steve cuddles him. we put him to bed in his room in the rocking chair. once he;s asleep we put him in his cot.
this morning after his breakfast, we were hving french toast, w pepper and garlic. he took a whole piece (we buy the full grain bread that's bigger than the usual bread, Settler's Grain)it;s very heavy. i broke up the pieces and he feed himself and promptly fell asleep for 2.5hrs!
Yeah his sleeping is changing. I think its settling down a bit finally though. He's been up til around midnight the last 3 nights, so to have him down already is a huge bonus!
I would get IL's to wait, but FIL works. & I think its too late to change now. I'm so silly! I should've thought of it!
SJ - Jesse's still very booby hungry, lol. I'm happy that he's occasionally going to sleep without it. It will make things a bit easier. He still has a drink here & there through the day, but still usually feeds to sleep for every sleep.
Jazz goes off to bed herself now. Has been for a while. Bri's the hard one atm. She'll go off to bed by herself (well I'll put her in there) if she has a pop top of milk, otherwise she sits up watching TV til she falls asleep. She won't sleep any other way yet. But we're working on it.
skye - would you be able to get another appt early enough?
I got sad on Thursday when I arrived to pick Jazz up early from Pat's house. Pat had 3 kids (inc Jazz) when I arrived and they were all outside playing and Jazz was walking around with the other two kids who are almost 2 and almost 4. I made a comment that seeing her walking around with the other kids reminds me that she isn't a baby any more. Pat agreed as she's had Jazz since she was about 3 months old so she sometimes gets a bit sentimental as well when she thinks back to when she first met Jazz.
Jazz tried to run today, it was so cute but she wasn't running in a straight line and ran into the wall and fell onto her bum saying "oopdy" and just laughed.
We went to BIL and FIL's house today to give our nieces their easter presents. Jazz got a little spoiled, she got a cadbury bunny from FIL (Pa) and a Daryl Lee egg with smarties inside from her uncle. (we'll eat the smarties though, too small for her). She'll get more stuff over the weekend from my parents and if we should be so lucky as to get a visit from MIL and her partner then she'll get more again.
Thanks for explaining BLS to me...not for me I don't think! (should get over my mess thing now that I'm a mum huh). Besides, considering I only have her on average for 2 full days a week (the weekend) I don't know if it's worth it. If Pat wants to do it at daycare then I have no problem with that.
Prama - don't know. I'll ring them on Tuesday & just keep doing what we are doing at home til the next one.
It was good to have a bit of a chat on here with you guys tonight :)
I'm having an early one for a change. Off to bed.
Night all :)
Night Skye, (he he he sorry, i am sure that you get that alot, but i had never really thought of your name that way... sounds good :))
Dont know if i will be back tomorrow, so Happy Easter everyone.
It has been nice that we have all been around tonight, i am off to feed the dog (woops) and then i might head to bed (DH is working AGAIN!!!!) i think that he is making us a new letter box!
Hope everyone had a good easter and good hols!!
we had an exhausting time. Lakshman has now fully mastered teh art of unlocking his baby gate and wanting to walk everywhere. he doesnt want to stay in his play area anymore and just wants to get into everything.
but he was so cute yesterday. i was doing my yoga, the cat position and he walk over and kiss me and then walk away and then turn around and come back and kiss me again
Hope to hear how everyone's easter went..
our thread is gettign quieter and quieter.. :( w fewer of us.. well i guess, getting back to work etc and full on toddlers is making it hard to post.
xoxoxo

Hey Prama,
Had a mixed Easter, DH and i had a fight so i went away without him, turned out good in the end as he cleand out the whole of our back room, so i am sorta glad that he stayed home.
I have just uploaded some picsto FB of the Easter Hunt, MJ loved it, gave her a taste of chocolate but she wasnt that in to it, which was good as i wast that keen on her having it anyway.
Im still sick, but slowly getting better, i think the tiredness is not helping, seem to have had a bad few nights, last night MJ wanted a feed at midnight and tbh i just thought i cant go back to feeding all night, so we cuddled until she went back to sleep, then she slept for another 5 hours, so i think that it was a comfort thing rather than hunger... i felt bad though
speak soon, im off to the shops, going to Officeworks as i am making calandars for Mothersday with pics of MJ...
Hope everyone else is well, Skye, home Jesse is OK, sen your posts on FB... sounds lke you are hving a rough time.
sj - sorry abt the fight w dh.. steve and i had a fight last night too. i think we were both exhausted and touchy.
hope things are better w your dh.. i need steve to clean up as well. after the fight, he did some cleaning of his crap which ive been asking for ages.
can you take a day off work and just rest at home, if your mum can look after mj? a long solid sleep will surely help.
do you think our bub's sleeping habits are changing again? jesse, mj ? poopy fought and fought his sleep last night. screaming and wriggling while we took turns cuddling him to rock him. he punched us in the throat so many times.
we let go and he just wants to walk around and play but is so clumsy cos he's so sleepy. he's so happy when we put him down. in the end, i just had to hold him so hard till he gave in. he was just sweating like crazy.
sj - maybe mj did want a comfort thing. dont feel bad, i know it's not easy. it's hard to tell what they want when they cant say or they dont know what they want.
almost all of poopy's words are dah and he points. im not sure if it's there, that or dho ('there' in tamil) occasionally he says certain words but seldom repeats them. he also wants to put on his socks and shoes by himself now but cant work out his coordination!
Hi guys.
Yeah, having a pretty crappy day. Jesse's pretty much been crying since 3 or 4 pm yesterday.
Thinking it might be coz he ate too much chocolate. He snuck a few mouthfuls of coke last night too coz me Anth & my sister were all sitting around watching movies & weren't paying enough attention. (I was just so greatful at times that he wasn't crying that I didn't care!)
He's off again. He bit me during feeding 3 times yesterday & once that hard this morning that it almost drew blood. You can see like red blood blisters in lines under the skin.
Considering weaning him. Its so painful, but he doesn't understand.
Anyway, I'm going out for lunch with my mum & her family. Hopefully Jesse will amuse himself with my 4 year old cousin & forget how upset he is.
bloody thing.. did you a post skye and it's gone
maybe jesse's got a tummyache? poor darling, not sure what you can give for that...
sounds so painful, skye, their teeth are like little razors.. so so sorry. maybe he's biting cos he's feeling icky and frustrated?
hope he and you get better.. so so sorry
Prama, Mum leaves for the UK today, so this week is going to busier than ever...
I have to do an extra day at work this week (wednesday) so not only is Mum not looking after MJ (therefore no thursday without her) but i am working an extra day.... its hectic here, DH is stressed to the Max, a couple of massive fitout jobs starting and yeah just crazy.
SO yes a long sleep would help, but not going to get one of those til, well i dont know when, i am working this sunday too and then MJ and i fly out next Wednesay... i actually have booked her into FDC for 4 hours that day so i can do the last minute things alone, its so hard packing with her pulling things out again!
Skye, i get bitten too, usually it is if i am feeding her and talking to someone else (usually i feed her alone) or if she is finished... its so painfl isnt it. She has oviously been sucking hard too (probably cos of when i was sick, i am sure the milk dropped off) and my nipples are soooooo sore
Have cooked 3 dinners today, so i dont have to stress when i get hoome from work these next few days
oh sj.. wish i was closer so i could come help a bit...
maybe you could book mj for the whole day so you can get stuff done and have a little rest. it's so hectic packing for bub and you have to triple check etc.
yes, poopy thinks it's great fun to pull thngs out when i pack.
poopy has sort of bitten me but not too hard. very sharp those teeth. it's more painful when he comes off, he tends to pull out w te nipple..
and when he's falling asleep he tends to clamp on a lot harder.
i hope you can have some sleep/rest when you get to the uk, as you'll have someone tehre with you who can look after mj. are your mum and you staying together there?
Jazz is waking at night again. Over the weekend I think I was up with her 3-4 times a night with her...she has a cold though so that wouldn't be helping.
Last night she was coughing heaps so I went in to check on her. I tried to get her to have some water but she was still asleep while I was sitting her up and she was still coughing until she layed down and then threw up...she cried after she threw up but was still asleep and every time I let go of her she would lay down...in her pool of vomit. I got Matt to give her a bath (first time he's given her a bath, he didn't want to but it was either that or clean up the bed with the spew...that made the decision easy for him. LOL.
Had a good easter. Jazz has heaps of chocolate. I tried to give her an egg and she mooshed it up, ate the tiniest piece and threw the rest on the floor.
I think Matt & I will end up eating most of her chocolate.
We got our stimulis thing today so Matt's out looking for a TV cabinet. He got sent home from work early because there isn't much freight due to the easter weekend. Apart from the fact that he's only getting paid for half a day today, it works out well because he hurt his neck on the weekend and has a chiro appointment to fix it tomorrow.
Better go, I have to fix a website.
ohh hope jazz is better soon.. everyone is getting sick :(
lucky for me poopy doesnt have a sweet tooth, has a spicy tooth instead!
he's spat out the tiniest bit of choc and cake we wanted him to try over the weekend..
Yeah, Jazz has shared her cold with us. I picked up our flu vax today but the pharmist said to wait until we're over the colds before we get the injections. She said the vax keeps in the fridge for a year but only for 20mins out of the fridge.
Hi all.
Anth has gone down to Wingham today for his medical! So excited, he wasn't sposed to go til next week & couldn't start work til the Monday after. But they rang yesterday & said to go down today, so hopefully he'll be starting this Monday instead of next!!
The only reason he was starting work the 27th was coz he couldn't get down to Wingham earlier!!
Jesse must be feeling better. Little bugger is still in bed. I would be too, but I can't sleep. I'm feeling a bit crappy now :(
I hit my head on the door of mum's car yesterday & have a massive lump behind my ear :( It hurts :(
Sun is finally out here! Yay! Hope it lasts for a bit. Its been raining for pretty much 2 months straight. Kinda over it! For got how bright that sun is though, lol!
oh skye - hope you're not getting sick... you poor darling.. xoxo
glad jesse's better tho..
and so glad to hear teh good news abt anth.
how are you two going? do you think you'll be getting back together or still trialing?
xoxo
Hope Jesse is feeling better.
I left work early. The stupid cold that Jazz lovingly decided to share with me got the better of me today. Only I went out to the shops to waste time because Matt's in the middle of putting a new TV unit together which he'll hopefully finish tonight and the house is a mess and I didn't want to be in the house when I couldn't do anything to fix the mess.
I had a manny/peddy (my first ever peddy) and did a little shopping.
We're pretty much back together Prama. I still have alot of doubts & issues, but its getting there.
