I was wanting one before I had Jazz but couldn't afford it. I've always been scared to as well because I have quite ticklish feet and have been know to accidentally kick people in the face and I was worried about doing that. But I didn't even flinch. I wish I'd remembered to bring something to read though.

Sorry I have been soooo slack in posting.... I have just been so busy with work and then coming home and getting DJ and I organised for the following day. I normally get on facebook more because I can just quickly check things and leave it running while I am doing stuff :)
SLEEP - DJ is doing really well, FINALLY putting himself to sleep now, what a godsend!! he is in bed between 7:30-8:00pm without fail now, and falls asleep within 5 minutes. He is sleeping through til 5am and has a bottle then sleeps for another 2 hours..or just under. I am trying to stop that bottle, but it is a slow process. Diluting the milk with water so he will eventually not want it and decreasing the amount.
WALKING - he is walking everywhere now, doesn't like to be carried or put in a pram anymore, and is starting to run so I have to be quick when chasing after him. he doesn't crawl anymore....
TEETH - arghhh what a painful experience, arghhhh puts you off another one.... haha He has I think 9 now, so going well, I think his eye teeth coming through now.... He is always going for that area.
COWS MILK - going well with that. I am only using toddler formula for one feed per day and it is normally the night one. But once the tin is finished I will just keep him on cows milk and introduce some vitamins :) I am trying to drop a milk feed, not sure how because he loves his milk..... What have you done? I know DJ is on too much.... He has 1 formula feed per day (180ml), plus 3 cows milk or rice milk feeds (normally only 160ml). He is FINALLY starting to drink water, but if he sees the bottle he wants it.
FIRST WORDS - all DJ says is dadda or daddy, and mum when he wants something.... He has alsoe said 'whoah' and is starting to nod his head for yes or no etc
FOOD - he is eating everything and anything we put in front of him. He prefers to feed himself, starting to not want us feeding him. he just puts his arms up all of the time. So, I will have to start teaching him to feed himself.... Any pointers, would love to know. He does feed himself with finger foods, like bits of this and that. Loves doing it that way...
and me.... I am doing well, back at work 4 days per week now and soooo busy.... Doni is in Townsville, still travelling heaps with work, but not too bad.

HI girls sorry its been a while.
We are doing ok here survived Nick being in the UK for 12 days..just *L* I really do have a much greater admiaraiton for single mums I take my hat off to you all.At first I though oh hey this is ok I can do this..but by the end I was so tired physically and emotionally exhausted ( a good lesson in priorities though too..I do not have to do it all and do it now) WIll was really good but missed Nick and it was beauitful to se him run to his daddy for huge cudles when he got home.
Nick had agood time though I think it was a real eye opener about how his life used ot be and how much he has changed and his family and friends have not.We really do have an amzing lifestyle out here eat healthy foods get oudoors so much and he says a much healthier attitude to things as well. ( maybe its jsut his family) Anywayhe is home and back in to the old routine.
Will is getting more teeth and as you guys know full well it can be hellish. He has developed period sof insomina *L we watched the dirty dozen last night till 3.30 am he just cant switch off when he is pain it takes a good while for the neurifen to kick in. We try the complete darkness thing but he seems to relax more if just watching the telly at that time ( not somethign I want to encourage) but hey I was over it *L* I know its just a phase and he is in pain so just have to suck it up.
My folks are away for 2 weeks playing hockey ( grandpa is a veteran player who has played for AUstralia) am sure its just more of a social scene. but am missing my mum not being here. WHen they get back they will be movign into the house they built behind us and I kind of like the idea of WIll being able to toddle up to theirs and see them when he wants to.
Me well health wise all my counts are fab..head wise I am a bit screwy a nd emotional..I have tried to come off the AD I have been on since WIll was born ( TMI warning) they seem to have killed my libido and its having an affect on things with Nick.He is extremley patient but the poor buggar can only take so much.( he was awy for nearly 2 weeks and I Missed him so much yet was not the slightest bit interested in sex when he arrived home at all did not go down to well) I need them to keep me level but they just seem to shut everything else off and Ihate it. SO sort of scerwing with my head a little and am going to see Doc to try another type see if the affects are different.
HOws that for sharing *L* this and huge financial strain atm and things are abit ordinary.
I have been reading posts and sorry havent replied you guys have been in my thoughts and I am glad you are all doing ok.SOrry no reply for personals today just needed to off load a little but will get back onto posting regulalry.

Jazz has learnt what shaking her head means and now does it when she doesn't want to do what she's told. Also, earlier today my BIL & FIL were over and me and BIL were sitting in the lounge. I told Jazz off about something and she gave me this look which has me and BIL in stitches. It was a real wide eyed "how dare you tell me off" look, cute but very naughty
Jazz put herself to sleep again last night at 7pm for Matt who had to take care of her while I was out partying for my aunty's 40th. And tonight she did it again! I'm so happy.

thought I would touch base.... Doni was made redundant yesterday :( it shook me up.... I have been depressed.... now have to go back to work 5 days per week, Doni is going to look after DJ 2 days per week. Still putting DJ into daycare for 2 days, and my stepmum will still look after him one day per week as well.... I have been so down in the dumps since last night... Doni has had one networking contact talk to him about an opportunity but I don't want to get my hopes up. I know we will be fine, but he hasn't even updated his CV.... that is the first thing I would do.... I have never been out of work so wouldn't know what it feels like.... He got a good payout which is good, but only to pay off credit card debt and last a few months..... arghhhhh

Matt might lose his job if he doesn't get a bigger van, we've just asked my dad to go guarantor on a loan for us to get a bigger van, he's going to talk to mum about it and get back to us.

Right well, i am off to England TOMORROW - totally unprepared still, well, im sort of getting there, packe all the nappies, and clothes, triple checked the passports and tickets. Sorted my other wallet... so much so that when i went to get dinner today i had no cash and no CCards as they were in the travelling wallet - didnt i feel like an idiot, had to dash back home and get it then go back for the food!

Dropping MJ at FDC for 4 ours tomorrow, so heading straight to the shops with my lists and hoping to get it all done in less time than that!
Anyone got ny ideas of snacks i cant take for mJ on the plane... i have sultanas, plain biscuits, kids sweet biscuits and some rusks. I want a really good selection as i figure that at times i may be able to distract her with food, especially on the 14 hour leg.... ahhh i cant even get excited about the holiday as i am so worried about the flight - i dont normally streess much so this is quite new for me

shell - so sorry to hear abt doni.. it's a very very big shock. i have been made redundant twice before and both times found something better. i'm so so sorry. it's a very hard thing. physcially, mentally, emotionally. i dont know what to say to help... but something will come.. it always does.

Have a safe trip SJ. Not sure about food, you might need to check with the airline about what's allowed because of customs and things like that. I know that on domestic flights you have to get rid of all fruit & veg before getting off the plane, I'm not sure what the rule is about actually taking food onto the plane.
My dad rang back with an answer about going guarantor for a loan for a new van and he said that he will. He is still worried about what will happen should Matt lose his job and not be able to pay the loan as it would default to him, but he's going to help us.
Shell, I'm so sorry. I hope it doesn't take too long for Doni to find another job.

I'm pretty good. I wish the girls were home though. Jazz turned 7 yesterday. She had a great day, went 10 pin bowling & had cake & all. I sent her a pressie in the mail, so she's pretty stoked.
A good friend of mine had a baby boy last night, on Jazz's birthday. Jesse Richard :) So cute!
The girls will be home soon! Can't wait! Everyone is jelouse & thinks I should be enjoying myself, but I'm not really.
Anyways, they should be home on Saturday. & guess what? My brother & SIL are coming over from Perth on Monday for a week!!! I can't wait to see them & my neice.
Anth hasn't started work yet :( We were hoping he'd start earlier since he did his medical earlier than expected, but looks like next Monday as planned. Oh well.
Only about 3 weeks til we move though hopefully! The people in the house now are waiting for a date from their builder, but the stupid rain won't go away, so they can't get a date!
Matt found out when he arrived at work that this afternoon 2 drivers are going to be let go and he's really worried that one of them will be him. He's dreading returning to the depot at lunch.
I'm getting contact lenses tomorrow night and I can't wait.

My bro, SIL & neice are coming over for a visit & get here tomorrow night. I can't wait to see them again. Its been 8 or 9 months. Way too long!
We went & picked the girls up yesterday. Jesse was so happy! He hadn't been sleeping properly, but last night he had a great night. His girls were home. I think he felt better.
Bri's been very clingy. Missed us alot, but is getting sick again too. High fever tonight & coughing etc. I can feel it too. Hopefully I won't get it too bad. Even better if the other 2 don't get it. I've already got Anthony sick from painting dad's boat & breathing in too much of the paint!

It's been so quiet lately.
I had my hair cut & coloured today. I thought now that I'm wearing contacts instead of glasses that it was time for a whole new look.
I've got this week off so I'm looking forward to cleaning the house, having coffee with friends and me and my best friend are going to have a pedi together. I'm paying for hers in lieu of 2 weeks worth of paying her to look after Jazz on Fridays each week.
I also have to pot some roses that I got and hope to get some painting (art) done.

Such a relief to finally get a start! He only did half days, Thurs & Fri, but should be full time from here on in.
I'm getting excited & he hasn't even been paid yet! I'm hanging to put all my bill payments up to catch up, & get some money into savings! We are slowly getting closer to buying a house! (Loooong way off, but the full time job is a HUUUGE start!!)
My bro & SIL are here. Its so good to have them around again. Shame they are only here for a week :( My beautiful neice is singing in the lounge room, she is having a sleep over tonight.
We've decided to go visit them later in the year or early next year. I have told them I won't be going, coz I'm terrified of getting on a plane, & I don't wanna drive for 4 days, but I've decided to try & get past my flying fear for them. I've got knots in my stomach now just thinking about it!
Bri & Jesse have been sick over the last week, but they are coming good. Jesse still hasn't cut any new teeth. Its been 4 months or so now. He still only has 6. I'm not complaining. I'd happily have none now I know how it feels when he bites!!
Life is good atm. I jinx myself every time I say that, but it is. (Anth & I will probably fight tonight now, lol).
Mum & I are starting a business soon. Its a secret for a little while yet, but I'll let it slip to you guys Shhh!! Possibly making cloth nappies
Biiig secret. Doing lots of research & trying to work out mum's new sewing machine, but we are getting there. So SJ you'll have to buy some & Danni, you will have no excuse not to try some ;)

Skye, I'm so glad that Anth is working. It make such a huge difference when our men are working after a long time of not working doesn't it?
Matt's about to buy a franchise for the company he's been contracting for. We decided that instead of buying a new van with the loan my dad helped us get, we would buy a franchise which means better job security for Matt and more chance of being able to get a new van in the near future.

Just a quick post to say hi, havent read all the posts, thou i notics that it is very quiet in here...
Have a lovely time, MJ is soooooo good. loving the country side and the fresh air. staying with friends at th moment, they have an almost 2yo and a 8mth old, so its been great for MJ. she is learning so much and i can really see big changes in her. Its amazing really.
The house that i am staying in is unbelieveable, 6 bedrooms, 3 with ensuits, beautiful property... man i wish i had money... they are driving a 4wd volvo and a porsche 911... its amazing to see how the otherhalf live. But so down to earth. i have know Biz since birth and we have stayed friends all this time, across the world.
Other friends have horses and \mj and i get to feed them each day when we are there, she loves it and says yum yum yum as they are eating.
Plane trip was amazing, \mj was a dream. slept well and ate well. Only problem was that i fell asleep when i was feeding her |(i ahd been awake for almost 18hrs straight) and MJ came off so i exposed myself to the whole plane :rofl: oh well

We are ok here..well better Will had tonsilitis and I have given his second lot of antibiotics as he still hasnt shaken it all I then caught his cold which turne dinto a major sinus infection and inner ean infection. It was horendous the sickest I have been in so long the nausea and dizziness were just horrid and have bene laid up for a bit. Having to get better as we are off out on Friday night for a girls night wiht our mothers group and cant wait! Have sort of been doing the insgle parent hitng abit with NIck doing so many hours..also been resenting it oo so have had a few barneys over it all.( comign off AD too which hasnt helped).so sick and a bit of tension havent been too good at home. AM sure it will improve.

and when it's time for his bath, we're in the bathroom and he's trying to take off his pants. of cos his fingers cant quite do it. then he's trying to figure out how to take his nappy off.. he'll be taking them off soon.. eeek.
i almost cried... poopy made me a special bag for mother's day. daycare got one of those reusable bags, like the green ones at woolies/coles. this one is white and he made handprints on one side and paintings on the other... and then inside was a painting and on the back it said 'i love you mum'.. sigh.. im on cloud 9!!
Jazz & I got our flu shots today. She was not a happy girl. Mummy was brave and went first so that I could cuddle Jazz when she got hers.
We went out with my mum this afternoon as a bit of a mothers day present. I bought her lunch and then told her to pick something she wants within my budget for her mothers day present. She found a really nice bangle style watch. Then we wandered around the shops, I got Jazz a size 2 sleeping bag, it's too big now but figured that buying a size bigger should mean that she'll fit into it for the whole of winter. Mum bought some ug boots for her. Then we went to a play cafe and Jazz had the time of her life. I've never seen her so excited and laughing so much! Her and my mum went into the ball pit together and she was in her element! A little birdy (called Gran) told me that Father Christmas might just have to bring her an inflatable ball pit for Christmas this year. She would love that but now I'm picturing finding the balls all around the house!
Went to the city tonight and Matt bought me my mothers day present. I wasn't expecting anything big but he got me a wii fit for an absolute bargain!
We've just bought the courier franchise today so things are really looking up for us. We've come along way since the start of the year when I was seriously considering leaving him. He's gotten his act together and now he's doing his dream job. Better yet, being a franchisee gives him really great job security. Basically unless the company goes bust (not likely - they've been around since 1983 and are all over the world) or unless he seriously breeches policy, he can't be fired because he's invested into it. This is exactly what we needed.

It was lovely to read about your mothers day present - our DD made us an Easter basket (ok, so she painted it and someone else glued it!!! ;)) at daycare and I thought it was the best thing ever! Our Mother's Day gifts weren't dry on Friday so I'll get it on Monday!

Sounds like you had a fab mothers day and got spoilt rotten. Did you cry like a baby when you got poopys present I ddi I got a laminated book mark with Wills finger prints all over them and a huge heart shape card covered in hand prints.I was all teary and now knwo why every year despite ocmplaing we laboured over making gifts at work for mums day. We had a nice lunch with my mum and some friends and I got a bit of an afternoon naptoo.
How you doing? I have been all over the shopi since off my Ad not sure if it was the right thing to do but am persevering.
Very excited we got a new car on the weekend..8 years old in fact but ours was 16 years old and had 320000 k's on it. So is nice to drive something a bit newer.

oh yes, i cried.. im so proud of my itty bitty. makes it all worthwhile!! i'll have to take a pic and upload. i brought the bag into work to show-off and they all laughed at me cos i was so pleased and said im such a proud mum.

yaay. new car!! esp after the last one had so many problems..
Jazz is being really difficult again. She was just starting to get really good at going to bed at 7:00pm each night, straight after a bath. She would take a bottle and I could shut the door and leave her to drink her bottle and put herself to sleep and it was great while it lasted. Since Friday when she had her flu shot though she's been a little terror. Friday night I can understand she was feeling crappy and in pain. I was too so I expected her to be like that. But Saturday and Sunday she has been really difficult to get to sleep. She's clearly tired but as soon as the light goes out and she sees her bottle she goes into fits of screaming and pushing the bottle away, thrashing about and this goes on for up to 2 hours! I don't know if she's just feeling a bit crappy (she's got a really runny nose) or if she's teething or what it is. She's also starting to have this reaction anytime she sees a bottle no matter what time of day or night it is. She'll take water from a cup or sports bottle with no problem, but refuses to have a bottle. Does that mean that she could be ready to give up the bottle altogether or could it just be that she's feeling out of sorts?

Its great. 3 brm, b/ins, ensuite, flat fenced yard, paved under cover area as well as balcony on the other side. Fire place, bath tub, clothes line, lol!

Danni sounds like a combination of it all really and growth spurt. They really are exerting their wants and needs now. Can I suggest that you dont associate bed with a bottle anymore. Its not reccomended that children go to sleep with a bottle becasue the milk coats the teeth and can cause decay.It may take a little while for her to dissasociate it with bed so you might have to try give it a little earlier. Good luck I am finding WIll is trying me out every day atm but i Guess its all just part of it huh.
Hi everyone, it's been so long since I've been on here. Hope you are all good and I'll try and read back a bit on what's been happening but i'll write now otherwise it won't get done haha.
All is ok here atm, as most of you know Summer had a seizure last week, I took her to the creche at the gym, she was a lil grumpy but was getting two top molars and an eye tooth and she always gets a bit of a runny nose so all the week before i wasn't concerned, she was fine when i dropped her off and i worked out and was back 2 hrs later to find her extremely hot laying in a bean bag, they questioned me about a rash she had and I said its prob cos she is so hot.... So i took her outside and stripper her clothes off and walked to the car cos i wanted to get her home and give her some panadol (the creche is in a tent which is very very hot it is there until they finish renovations) so i opened the car to cool it down put down all windows and then tried to get home asap then i heard her making a noise so i looked back in the car seat to see her having a convulsion... I FREAKED out and even tho i know what to do with a febrile convusion i felt like i should have been doing something and went into shock people came running, called an ambulance and the first aid people from the gym brought oxygen out... luckily a lady took her off me and walked away so i didn't have to see her. I know its a common thing but im really angry that nobody helped her and cooled her down it may have prevented it. I feel a bit traumatised i know it sounds silly but i keep seeing her little face when she was fitting i thought she was going to die (in the moment i had no idea what was going on i know she wouldn't have died but that's what i thought) We got the ambulance to the hospital and she was all ok very tired and worn out which is normal. She spiked over 39deg every night until Sun then came out in a measles looking rash but Dr's just kept saying its some sort of viral rash. She has no temp and rash died down but now is grumpy grumpy grumpy and cries a lot even in her sleep she woke crying about 6 times last night.
So sorry for the long story... Apart from that I am looking at moving, this house is way too small and the ex is being painful. He is still with his GF and I am over men completely its all about my girls now. especially after the week i had last week.
Ok so apart from that horrible bit Summer has been full of life, running climbing and getting into everything. She is such a beautiful little chicken and makes me laugh all the time. The older girls are driving me a lil nuts atm, because it is colder they can't play outside as much and because this house is so small they make such a mess.
I am looking into doing a fitness course so am a bit excited about that, might as well do something that i love.
I will make sure i get back on here more regularly. Been on and off depressed and never have much happiness to share just crappy stories

Crap Shell that sux about Doni getting retrenched, I got retrenched a few months back and just no jobs up here so not even bothering. I remember you saying that he has a new job so how good is that, hope he enjoys it is it the same sort of work? just as much travelling?
Bron Hope you are ok hun, its hard when you feel crappy and sad and nobody understands if you ever need to talk any time im here if you want a chat. I have avoided AD only because i haven't really seen a Dr about it and also i only seem to stay depressed for a few days at a time (sometimes longer but i don't recognise until it's almost over) how cute Will making you a mothers day pressy
