Danni, I dont know what to say.. What an awful weekend...
sounds like you were totally caught in the middle of something and nasty stuff was said that should have been (on both parts).
I hope things have settled down for you all and things are smoother with your parents.

Matt said the other day that from now on mum is welcome in our house whenever she wants, but dad is not. I wonder if he will make exceptions when we have an event at our house, if not then that will make it rather difficult.

Ah crap Danni...... I went thru something similar with my step Dad years ago, it's so horrible, it took a long time but it all got better so here's hoping hun.... Chris also had a massive go at my Mum years ago told her to never come back and was just an absolute f-wit, I never forgave him for that as IMO even if you don't like your in laws you should never have a go like that of course there are sometimes reasons for it tho.
Yeah, nit sure if i would ever forgive DH if he did that to my parents tbh... but thats my situation...
I hope this doesmt come and bite Matt in the bum, didnt your Dad help him get a loan, or did that fall through... i guess there is quite a bit of history...

the other day, was giving a breastfeed before bed, and he had finished and came off and looked at me then said 'Ta'!!!
i thought that was the funniest thing!
That's so cute Prama. Jazz always says "ta" when she's giving us things, but hasn't got the hang of saying it when she wants something from us.
She got so excited at the shops tonight though because she saw Thomas the Tank and kept laughing and squeeling with excitement saying "Thomas Thomas"
One of the kids at daycare was so sad that she wasn't there on Monday & Tuesday coz she was sick. He told the FDC lady (who is his nanna) that he wanted Jazz. Apparently he was quite mad at his nanna. He told her "I want Jazz" she said that Jazz isn't coming because she's sick. He said "You go get Jazz and bring her here to me" When I arrived to pick her up on Wednesday he told me off and said "no, you no take Jazz from me" So cute.
We went out to the shops like we do most Thursday nights and got home to find a man walking around Matt's van which is parked on the street. We pulled up the driveway and he walked up the driveway. Turns out he lives across the street and he accidentally reversed his car into the drivers door of the van right before we got home. There is a massive hole in the door. The guy has a steel frame on his car as it's a work car and the steel frame ripped a hole through the metal of the car door!
He was really nice and so remorseful. Gave us his details and admits full responsibility (though the insurance being the way it is will say that we are partly at fault for just being parked on the road).
Matt rang our insurance mob and they told him to get a quote for the repair and send it to them.
Thankfully the door can still be opened.
Understandably Matt is quite upset and has declared that we are moving house before the lease runs out and before he gets a new van. We are moving to a quiet street, preferably where there is room to park 2 vehicles on the property.

last sunday we were at a brunch party at SIL's for BIL (he got his PhD) and this 5 year old was hugging poopy all the time and kept pushing her off. then she gave him a big hug and kissed him and he pushed her away and crawled down from under her arms.. \phew.. maybe he already thinks he's goign to get girl germs or doesnt want girls who are too forward.. lol.. just wait till he's a teenager!

Matt just rang me to say that he's broken down on the side of the road. The battery in his van has gone flat. I made a couple of suggestions and he snapped...I don't know why he rang me!
danni.. is matt ok.. he seems to be on the edge lately fromwhat you've said.. hope he's not too stressed etc
Honestly, I don't know. I know that today he's still upset about the damage to his van from the guy reversing into it last night. Also I know he hates the long trip to and from work and not getting to spend as much time with Jazz as he wants to.:
I think he's feeling down now that he's working that he didn't make the most of being at home and that he didn't have Jazz full time when he was at home. He wants to be a stay at home dad, a proper one who actually stays at home with the kid rather than sending them off to daycare 4 days a week and only having them one day.
Oh crap Danni! Matt is having a tough time it really sucks when lots of bad things keep happening that usually happens to me. I'm trying to change the way I think and think positively cos it really does make a difference (not that he would like to hear that right now and at the time i didn't think that)
Bron hope you are ok, if you need any help let me know. Keep us posted if you can sweet, I'm worried now :(
Went to Pink the other night was the most amazing unbelievable show i've ever seen, was so impressed. I'm feeling so lucky atm, Dave is so good to me. Just need to get my knee better which is taking its time..

Danni - sounds like you are having an aw***l time, hopefully next week bring something better for you all. DH snaps at me like that sometimes, its horid, i dont know why they even boother to ring sometimes, it just makes everyone miserable.
MJ is now down to one BF at night now, the only problem is that she wont take milk... we have tried, full crea, skim, soy, rice... all heated or cold, sweetened or unsweetend and with no luck.
Any suggestions????

I think Jazz is getting a molar.
She's always biting and blowing raspberries on us. Raspberries I don't mind but the hitting and biting is not good. She's getting so rough!

You may have low tolerance and being 'ultra dramatical', but how he choses to respond is his problem/fault... kwim???
Hang in there hun, tread lightly this week and hopefully he will get what ever is stuck up his bum out soon :p!!!!! I know its not right that you are having to be careful not to anger him, but its always give and take.... just make sure you are not doing all the givng all the time.
His adjustment to work will take a while, try and be supportive and thank him for his efforts, you have no idea how those words 'thankyou' are recieved...

he was having his dinner tonight and i was putting away the plastic tub we take our clothes from the line with. i put the tub on my head and playing peek a boo with him.. baaddd idea. he thought it was fun and put his bowl on his head too!! lucky he had almost finished his dinner and whatever left fell into his scoop bib!!

I'm still not letting Jazz feed herself messy things. I really need to, for her development. She knows that the spoon goes in her mouth and I will sometimes let her take the spoon once I've put food on it. Often though I don't get the chance and she'll just snatch it from me...often this means the food that was on it goes flying though...
She'll probably get the chance to feed herself tomorrow. I'm out all day with friends at a wine festival and Matt's lookin after her...then again, he only seems to do things like that if I'm home to clean her up.
danni .. we use two spoons, one when we feed him and he must have another one for himself. we are always use 2 spoons. we feed him and he feeds himself as well. tonight he had almost finished his dinner, steve was feeding him. usually at the end, when he's full,. he will shake his head and not let us feed him and just feed himself..
that's what was happening tonight, steve was sitting next to him, as poopy wanted to feed the little bit left himself. and went to put the tub in the laundry and started playing w him.. rest is history!
have to be so careful as they really start to imitate us!!
I've been doing the 2 spoon thing too, but the second spoon is mainly to stop her grabbing the spoon I'm feeding her with.
Mj feds herself inteirly now. weetbix for breaky or yoghurt after dinner can still be a bit messy, but generally it all goes in.
To start with it was bad, but she soon got the hang of it.
no matter when you start, its going to be messy... but gret for pictures!

Same here on the messy eating and tryign to feed himself alhtough WIll still isnt a huge fan of having to chew too much little buggar.He would live on yougurt cheese and creamed rice if he had his way.
Sammie I will be on the holter monitor form tomorow as they didnt have one available over the long weekend.Basically over the last 2 weeks I have been having heart palpatations and felt light headed like when I sat the wrong way I was cutting off the circulation so to speak.Becasue I had clots when I had Will they told to me to keep an eye on things. Becasue of palpatations and chest pains i though maybe a pe. Anyway went to Doc ( not my normal oneas she was away) he basically lookd at my leg prety much in disgust and said well while they are that size its hard to tell isnt it.( crack number one) then told me the heart palpatations wer me getting my knickers in a twist over somethign that wasnt there ( crack number 2)He ordered bloods and a ddimer to rule out clots. Didnt so much as take my blood pressure or pulse nothing. Then he says somebody shoudl look at your veins but do you think they will while ever you are the size you are? ( crack number 3)I was so upset.
Anyway tests wre negative and next night I had a racing heart for nearly 2 hours thn started to panic when chest went tight so took myself to the hospital ( more anxiety as still dont htink I have dealt with the last time in hospital) anyway turns out had sinus tachicardia ( very fast heart rate) they put me on a monitor gave me meds kept me there a few hours.BEcasue I have had so many infections the past 6 weeks they think that my electrolites might be out of whack and this is causing the heart to race. SO have to wear the monitor to see what happens. I am still having palpitations about twice a day so who knows. Scared the crap out of me to say the least.

We are doing ok here really and mum and dad moved into their house bhind us this weekend so thats been exciting. It wil be nice ot have them so close and then they go away for 6 weeks anyway so not like we will be in each others pockets all the time.
Will has been very challenging and throwing loads of tantys and really pushing his luck with a lot of htings..ah the joys of growing up. He is so smart and inquisative am having to create lots more challenging play situations for him and NIck has given him a computer case to play around with as he loves all the technical stuff.
Anyway sorry have been so slack on here but do think of you all often

Jazz has a sore throat and has just about lost her voice, which is nice coz it means she can't scream!
She was crying every hour last night so we ended up bringing her into bed with us from 4am which is something we've never done before. I hope she sleeps well tonight as we both have work in the morning.
Danni do you think she may have tonsolitis? Wil was exactly like that when he had it we had to keep the rom really moist too to help with the sore throat poor bubbas its not nice at all
danni - so much of tonsilities and croup going around, and babies suffering.. might be an idea to take her to the hossy.
sj - yeah poopy feeds most of the time. i help feed him depending on the type of food. but i sit w him always w my spoon.
maybe you could try adding a little cow's milk to expressed milk and gradually increasing the amt of cows milk and reducing expressed milk so she could get used to cow's milk.
bron - what an ar*ehole of a doctor.. i wish i could have thumped him...

Ok. Jazz has a middle ear infection and I kept her home yesterday. She's on antibiotics. Now I have her cold but was going to go to work today anyway. Then I got a call from the daycare lady saying that she had gastro and has cancelled today so I'm home again today. I'm so glad that I have a very understanding boss.
I have brought some work home with me and yesterday I managed to spend 2.5 hours working and will try to do the same today while Jazz is asleep. I don't feel quite so bad about being away because I have work to do at home and I'm able to check my work emails. I've had so much time off lately. I'm glad that I have lots of sick leave as I've used up my 5 days of carers leave. I'm also thankful that at my work carers leave is different from sick leave. You have 12 days of sick leave per year and an additional 5 days of special paid leave, plus flexi time and annual leave. I'm recording the hours I work at home as flexi time so I'm able to take longer lunches or even a day off to have to myself at some stage.
Matt did offer to take yesterday off but that would mean that he would get no income for that time...the joy of working for yourself! My boss wouldn't hear of that and said that he has no problem with me taking time off and said at least I'm getting paid for my time off and he doesn't want us to put ourselves in the position where we lose some income by Matt having time off. My boss used to own his own business so he knows what it's like to work for yourself...my main problem with taking time off is that I've applied for that other job and I hope that it doesn't work against me. I'm still yet to hear about it but TBH, nothing happens quickly at the Uni so I'm not surprised that I haven't heard anything yet...I also know that no one else has either...that's the good thing about working in HR, you know these things.
I'm on count down to becoming an aunty again (for the 5th time!) You might know my sister, Alioops, she's going into hospital on Monday to be induced! I wish I could be there with her. Mum is over there with her so that's good and she's going to be keeping me updated and will send me photos of my new niece.

Well I just uploaded some pics of our new house on FB. I love it. We have a verandah the length of the house on one side, then a balcony on the other. Ensuite, fire place, double garage, YARD! Its great.
Taking Jesse to the gp on Monday. He's sick with something almost every 2 weeks, so I'm going to get a full check up & get his iron levels & everything possible checked out. I'm so tired. He's been sick again this week. Was sick with the flu just before we moved, & had gastro a few days before that. Hoping we can get something sorted there.
Dunno if I told you what happened with the car or not. Some dumb ass put engine oil in the clutch fluid thing. Completely stuffed the car. It happened before we bought it, coz we haven't had to put clutch fluid in it yet.
So we have to replace the slave & master cylenders in the car & its gonna cost about $1000 (if we are lucky) to fix it. It'll be done next week, & he won't let us pay it off, so we need to come up with $1000 by next week. I can't wait to have a car again though.
Other than that things are good. Loving my fire place. Its so goooood!

Skye, welcome back, good to hear from you again.
MJ is sick again... she has been sick for 31/2 weeks straight with one thing after the other... she now has an ear infection and and eye infection and yesterday woke with yet another cold. Poor bubba just cried in her sleep pretty much all night last night, it was awful. She is on Antibiotics and has a humidifier in her room to help with her cough, but its still really bad and i know that she is hurting. Wish there was more that i can do. On a positive note she has her appetite back and has regained some of the weight she lost when she first got sick.
Skye i would love to have a fireplace there is nothing better...

oh sj.. poor little mj.. hope winter finishes soon and all the horrid bugs go away.. it's so hard when they are sick. poopy has had a runny nose since january..
someone told me to put vicks on the soles oftheir feet and put socks over them or a body suit. it's supposed to help w colds and coughts. i guess it warms the body up.. xoxox
i wish i had a fire place too. our heater is broken.. we should get it by next week..
HAve been doing the Vicks thig, i think you mentioned it when the babies got sick the very first time.
Our heater was broken for the first week we got back from the UK and i think that didnt help things and MJ was use to nicely centrally heated houses and warmer spring days... This time of year is so tough for them all isnt it.

Jazz finished her antibiotocs yesterday for her ear infection. This morning she was very upset. I think it's partly because she still has a cough and sore throat and partly because she has a rash on her downstairs area, I don't think it's exactly nappy rash, the daycare lady said it looks more like a fungal rash. She seems to be most sore when doing a wee and when being wiped (I think that's coz of the alcohole in the wipes). FDC lady said that it could be from being on antibiotics and/or she's teething again.
She's making up more words lately. She'll point up to the sky or ceiling and say something like "buppay" I don't know if it's meant to be "up there" or what she's saying.
She tries to click as well. I'll click my fingers and then she'll try to do it. She's also just starting to recognise squares and circles. I spent an hour on shapes with her while I was at home last week and then a couple of days later we were at Hungry Jacks and she saw a square on the wall. She pointed and said "Quare" and did that a few times.
She's also started crawling again, I don't know if she's doing that just because she can or if it's some form of regression. She still walks/runs most of the time, but I've noticed that particularly if she's feeling quite sooky or it's getting late she'll opt for crawling. I also don't know if maybe she's just doing it to play a game because she sometimes will get down and crawl up to the cats and smooch them like they do to her and does go "maow" while she's on the floor with them.
I showed her a picture of her new cousin on Facebook and she smiled, said "hi" and waved and blew kisses. It was so cute.
danni - you could get some cortisone cream for the fungal infection.. im not sure if it could spread inside and give her urinary tract infection and maybe thats why she cries when she does a wee. must be really painful. it will be dangerous if fungus spreads inside her vagina
