Sarah, have you tried Aldi's nappies?? I love to use Huggies but now we only get them when we can get the box for $30 otherwise it's Aldi's for us. So what Brauer stuff are you using?? Does it really work?? If so I might need shares in the company :)
Deb, I could imagine that teaching prep would keep you on your toes. Ouchy on Gab's fall poor little chook. Welcome to start of them.
Tehya has had a few beauties already. She is a climbing machine, drives us made. I must get her off the dining table atleast a dozen (i kid you not) times a day, Not to mention the damn computer chair and anything else she can get her long legs near.
Just got back from swimming with Noah and he is still doing great. The teacher is using him as her little display student in his class, good coz it makes him feel so much better too :)
I am soooo dreading this afternoon. I can be all brave the whole way, even driving there, but the minute I'm in that seat, look out..... I wish I could just go and all be fine, I tell myself that I'm being irrational but it makes no difference. Just shows you that one bad experience can throw you for th e rest of your life. When I was 12 I had to get 2 teeth out my braces, anyway I was in the chair for 6 hours to get them out, the roots hooked and broke off and I ended up being cut from one side of my mouth to the other. Ended up with black eyes and a Dr had to come in from the hospital to but pain killing injections into my mouth at the end of it all. Afterwards my body went into shock....... So I guess me fear is understandable but damn I wish I could build a bridge :(
Anyway, I'm sure I'llbe back later to whinge some more about it, my appt is at 4pm. Wish me luck girls :)
-
Sarah, also bilo nappies are good (i get 10-15kg pack of 72 if i remember rightly for about $23. And aldi are good too...) Ambah started a thread int he nappy area, ppl recommending nappies. Apparently NQR sells a pack of 15 for $1.99... not sure what they're like though...
I agree with only buying huggies for $30 a box... Especially since most places have put them up to $42 a box... i cant justify that sort of money. The bilo ones last both boys a fortnight. pretty good i reckon...

Aww Trish! Any wonder you are terrified of the dentist! What a horrible experience! It's so true that a bad experience like that can stuff you up for a looonnnnng time. A similar thing happened to my sis. She needed to have a tooth removed and the dentist did such a terrible job of it that she was screaming in agony. She ended up having to go to hospital and have surgery, he did such a bad job of it! The surgeon removed her wisdom teeth and did a heap of other stuff because he knew she'd never step foot in a dentist's again! I had to have a tooth removed a year or so later so I was terrified the same thing was going to happen to me. Thankfully I asked around and went to a dentist with a fantastic reputation and it went along so smoothly that I walked out of there with a smile on my face. I hope that can be the case for you this arvo!
Yay for Noah being the "display model" LOL. Nothing like that to boost a kid's confidence!
OMG @ Tehya getting up on the kitchen table. I'm glad Gab hasn't figured that one out yet.
Sarah - LOL @ Zander driving Daddy nuts with his favourite book. That sorta stuff with never end! We used to drive Dad up the wall because we would get the same videos each time we went to the video shop. We were not interested in watching something difference. We always had to get "Candy-Candy" - some weird Japanese cartoon (the characters kind of looked like the ones in Astro Boy). Good luck on the great nappy hunt. It's frustrating when you find something you like and really works for you then it disappears!! Grrr!
I went to Aldi the other day to get some nappies as I had finally run out of disposables (I like to have some on-hand JIC the cloth thing goes haywire). Did they have any?? Noooooo. Always the way. So I ended up with Huggies. I figured it was the only packet of nappies I was going to buy in probably 4-5 months so I could spring for the deluxe, LOL. They were on special anyway so that's cool.
I had a rotten sleep last night. I don't know why. As a result, I'm tired, grumpy and over-it. Poor Gab needs to get out of the house but I can't be bothered, LOL.
-
On the tooth subject... one of my teeth has crumbled away, leaving nothing except a little inside the gum, and another has lost the filling and is now abcessed and has a growth coming out the side of the gum underneath it. I soooo need to get it fixed, but we cant afford anything atm, and when would i get it done? i have 3 children!!!
Trish - i know the feeling about the climbers - iput declan in his highchar, the ones that clip onto the table, the other day, and forgot to clip him in. i came back 2 mins later to find him crawling over the table... Lil buggar... Had to have a lil chuckle about it though, the look on his face when i caught him was priceless, he was so proud of himself :)
-
Well I went with Lullabies nappies which I got $19.95 for a box of 72 which is pretty good. Saw them at Coles after we went to the discount place & they were $25.00 so pretty good there. He has one on at the moment, so we'll see how they go. We use Huggies at night still & even they leak with my pee-pot son!! But MIL buys them for us every few weeks so all is good there.
Trish the Brauer stuff is fantastic :) We've used the colic one & also the teething one and they are brilliant. I think the best thing is that they're all natural. You're supposed to do a dose every 1/2hr for four doses then every 4hrs after that, the most we've ever done is two because it's worked brilliantly.
-
I've got the Weleda teething stuff, and I never get around to using it cause I just dont know whenshe;s teething and when shes not!
Deb - next time you are home and you need to get out, give me a call. There are 2 great parks at the waterfront/gardens, and they are well worth a visit. I went there this morning adn Jenna had a ball playing in the sand with the water...... Whoever designed that must have not been a parent to a toddler in winter!! Oh well - it was fun,.
Trish - i hope everything goes OK this afternoon. :( Thinking of you.
Simone! Sounds like you need to make yourself a priority and get to the dentist! You would never allow your kids teeth to go like that, so look after yours!
Fi
-
Simone - ouch @ your tooth! Sounds really painful. LOL @ Declan getting up on the table. Cheeky monkey!
Sarah - bargain @ the nappies! Not a bad price. I hope they do the job.
Fi - LOL @ water and sand at the park. I bet Jenna had a ball! I've heard so many great things about the new part at the Eastern Gardens but I've yet to have a chance to get our butts there. Hopefully I'll get some time next week.
Sounds like I may have to get some of that brauer's stuff next time Gab has teething issues. We've been spared of major teething for a good couple of months... it's been nice! I can see a few teeth coming through but they don't seem to be bothering her as much as the darn eye teeth and molars did. Maybe she's just used to it?? ;)
-
YAY!!! they did no work on my mouth today :) hehe probably nothing I should be too happy about as the work still needs doing along with 3 small fillings. BUT they are all going to be done under IV sedation. this is like a twighlight sedation where you are semi conscious but have no recollection of it. I have quite alot of work done on my teeth like this and it is truely the best way for me. Of course I'll still have to pain afterwards, and I'm still looking at root canal and aparently this tooth has 2 canals and nerves so they both have to be done, But I will be off my head so it's all good. The dentist had read through my file before I had gotten there and seen how much work I'd had done under IV, and probably how stressy and nervy I am in the chair and had already talked to the team in the IV dept. Where they have agreed to do it. Normally they don't do root canal therapy in there. I'm lucky that I don't have to pay for my dental work. I get treated through the hosp due do a clotting issue I have with my blood. Have been treated there all of my life.
Simone, you really need to get to the Dr's and the dentist. If you have an absess and let it go you can end up with blood posioning. Also that rotten tooth will infect other teeth nearby. You don't want to end up loosing your teeth and having falsies do you :) I bet Declan though he was so clever on the table too. Cheeky things they are.
Sarah, hope the nappies work out good. i am so reluctant to buy other brands. I really don't like Snugglers and find alot of the other cheaper nappies just don't take all the wee away from their skin good enough. I think I may have tried the Brauer sleep stuff on Noah, the dosage thing sort of reminded me. Never did anything for him though :( Stilll Tehya is another baby and it might work on her. I can only hope. I will grab some tomorrow when I am out.
Fi, sounds like you and Jenna had a nice day out. I hope it wasn't too cold for you both out there.
Deb, your poor sis. I really feel for her. Any wonder why you'd be scared at your next visit too. Hope you get a better nights sleep tonight too hun :)
Thanks for you well wishes girl, they obviously worked.
-
Trish - glad your trip to the dentist was uneventful and that they are so supportive. Sounds like the way to go to be sedated! Damn @ the double root canal tho... ick!
Gab and I have been driving around collecting boxes this morning. We visited all of her Aunty's at their different places of work. Lauren is at Kmart so I got quite a few boxes from there. Lauren's manager spotted Gabby and took her off my hands for a while, LOL. I told her that I'd have to let my friends know that Kmart now has a babysitting service ;)
It's Mum's birthday today so we're going out for dinner. Gab is meant to be asleep but the little turd has other ideas... always the way!
-
Hey deb, if you still need some boxes, and are up this way, we have about 10 medium size packing boxes, with the paper the removalists use (abot 5 of them are filled with paper) you are more than welcome to them if it helps :)
-
Aww thanks, Simone. Uno what?? I picked Neil up from the airport a couple of weeks ago so I was up your way not so long ago!!
Will see how I go. Will keep you posted. Thanks so much :)
-
Thats ok, i know how hard it can be to try and find boxes, especially of a decent size... We were lucky this was a defence force move and they paid for the boxes... We called them to come pick up the boxes, the lazy buggars never did, so you're welcome to them. Their loss!!
-
Finally!!
Hey girls sorry for my lack of posts...
The phone was cut off (thanks Alecia!) so no internet for a while.
Anyway... we are all doing well. Violet is leaping ahead in her speech, which is great. She uses her manners everytime you give her something she says please (sometimes  ), she says two after you say... so she is normal :) . She loves Dorothy the Dinosour (Dothy), and the Wizard of Oz (Both her and Emily love it).
We had swimming today which they still love...
Not much else going on...
Mum didn't get Married.... OMG here's an epic for you, but I'll keep it short...
Mum was supposed to marry a couple of w/e's ago... no-one was really happy about it but we stood by her none the less.
Anyway one of my sister has been living at mums and there was a phone call there the tuesday b4 the wedding while mum was staying over with her fiance. It was his DD!! She has rang to speak with mum about what he had done to her as a child, and her sisters!!
My sister rang me saying that none of his family were going to the wedding any why. She asked what to do because she didn't want to get the blame for it (she hated mum's fiance and didn't hold back about it) I told her to tell her immediately!!
So she finally got mum to come home and told her. Mum didn't believe her and phoned the daughter (she lives in the US, but I think she was in Australia visiting and for the wedding).
So mum hasn't seen him since and has been taking a break from home.
It's funny because all these little pieces have been falling in to place ever since the news got out. Like why does he live so far from his family? Why aren't his family playing more of a roll in the wedding? Why does he give me a creepy feeling?
YUCK!! OLD PERVERT!
Anyway, I really wasn't supposed be telling everyone, but that is too bad!
We are just hoping she doesn't go back with him!! She has said, "it was 30years ago, and only with hhis children"... WHAT THE...? If only she could hear herself!! Anyway, that is another dr Phil episode!!
Tanya
-
OMG - Tanya Imagine having a real life Dr Phil episode in your own family!!
Scary stuff, but hopefully it will all work out OK for you all.
Hoping that your TTC is going OK.
Right guys - I'm in the Melb airport waiting for my flight. The palce is dead - I guess everyone else goes drinking on a Sat night! Appaerntly the flight is dead - so I should have a row to myself which means sleep sleep sleep. Sooooo looking forward to waking up in the mornign when I feel like it! Not when someone else wakes up ;)
Hope everyone else is well, and I'll probably chat from NZ since I wont haev a child under my toes :D
-
Have a nice break Fi :)
Yes the Dr Pill episode is just pain scary!! I never want to see that creep again!!
Tanya
-
Tanya - wow! A story worthy of Jerry Springer, hey? I hope your Mum comes to her senses and realise that this dude is no good. Love is blind, hey? It goes to show that your intuition was in full force when you had a feeling that he wasn't quite right.
LOL @ Violet saying please. I'm trying to get Gabby to say it rather than just wander over to the pantry and hit it until I give her something (saying "Ahh ahhh!"). Admittedly, she does say "Ta" quite often so I am not going overboard. I just chant "Pleeeease" while she's demanding, LOL. She'll take the hint one day.
Fi - hope that you are getting lots of R&R.... or is your Mum working you hard again with scones? Woo hoo for the flight being dead too. Always nice! Hope Shane is coping ok (though I'm sure he is!). I SMS'd you on Sunday saying that if you wanted me to watch Jenna while you guys went on a harley ride, I could (Sunday was a gloriously sunny day). Duh Debbie!
We spent the weekend packing more of the non-essentials and loading them up. We've managed to get quite a bit of stuff moved up to Hamilton already.
No work today. I took Gab to the park this morning and she had a fun time watching people with dogs run past (she spent half the morning saying "Woof woof woof", LOL). She's a little sooky at the moment. I'm thinking that it may be another couple of teeth? She practically begged me to put her into bed for her nap today. I hope it's just teeth.....
Off to update her website again!
-
Hi guys :)
Sorry it's been so long between posts.... I've had a few little things going on in the last few weeks ;)
I promise to try and check in on a more regular basis now I'm not going to bed at 8! Ollie is very well behaved, and Bastian is being really good too, so I might actually have a few minutes of spare time.
John is home for the rest of the week, which is good since I'm not fully functioning yet, but it'll suck when he goes back to work cause I still won't be able to drive for another 4 weeks! 4 weeks of being stuck at home with 2 kids! Oh well.... at least everything is flat around our house so we can go for lots of walks :)
Sorry to hear there are some sleepless nights going around....hopefully it's just rotten teeth and they'll be through soon.
I must admit to skipping the dentist bits of posts completely.... I'm so norty that I haven't been to a dentist since I had braces... and now I'm too scared! I don't want to know all the horrid things they'd want to do to me.
Anyway....getting a bit tired now, so i might veg on the couch and watch Grey's Anatomy until Ollie's next feed.
-
Zola, it has been a long time, You've had time to have another bub ;) How is Oliver going?? I hope Sebastian is being a good big brother. Probabywants to smother him in kisses. Buggar being stuck at home for 4 weeks. I cheated when I had my c section and was driving before I was supposed to. I hated being couped up. Go to the Dentist Zola. You don't want to end up wearing falsies!!
Tanya, OMG hey. Thank goodness your mum didin't get married and an even bigger thanks for the phone call hey. That explains your intuiton and the bad feelings you had about him. YAY at Violets talking improving. KWYM about the manners too, somedays we constantly get, ta or pease or her kind of thank you then other days you struggle to get one. On the upside, I am getting more kisses now :D How's the TTC going sweety??
Fi, hope that your having a great time in NZ. Aggh must be nice to go away without kids ;) I so want a break.... Hope that your meeting with your midwife went great, and that you get along with her :)
Deb, aww can you babysit for me so we can go for a ride too.... Hmm would help if we lived in the same state of course and if we still had the bike, hehe. Oh just noticed that you said you were going to update Gab's site again, I will check it out when I'm done posting. Hope Gab's teeth hurry up and settle down for her.
Tehya's teeth seemed to have come to a standstill. She hasn't got any new ones in ages, still hasn't cut her eye teeth and they are nowhere to be seen. She STILL doesn't sleep, but now I am figuring that she will start to sleep around the time she turns 15!! Paid my fine last week and the damn excess so now I am poor again.
Teh is in bed asleep now, this is when she sleeps the longest, probably from around 8 til 12 if I'm lucky then it's every 2hours or so. Like a damn newborn. Going to get some more pictures done tomorrow with our photgrapher, she has a bub comp and asked me to bring Teh over for some pics. She hasn't ahd any done with her since she was 10 months old so due really.
I will be working wth her (the photographer) next weekend at the Penrith show. Will be good to get out away from the kids for the day, still not sure of the hours or $$ yet though, perhaps I will find out tomorrow. The show goes into the night time but I'm not really keen to stay there all day and night. Abit long away from Teh and for Teh to be away from boobies.
-
Argh - Trish! It sooooo wasn't a holiday! While it was nice to be away from her, I didn';t get anymore sleep. In fact I have come back in worse shape than when I left!
To make things worse, Jenna isfinally cutting her top molars, so I have a cranky pants to deal with, and of course I feel like its because I went away. Thank goodness Bec came over today and helped me feel a little more sane ;) I said a little.....
I dont know what to suggest with Tehya. I expect that you are fairly well resigned to it all, and it wont last forever. Thats what we tell ourselves when miss is sleeping badly too. Oh for a good sleeper!!!
Zola - great that you are doing well and coping with 2 bundles!! Haven't your men got such cute names - you guys have done well :)
As for my midwife, well I stuffed that up too. I didn't read it properly, so the meeting is the first Tuesday of the month, not every Tuesday! Oh well - luckily I get along with my midwives here so well, and the baby will likely be another Baxter house job.
I have also finally popped :) FINALLY! I am feeling decidely pregnant, with the heartburn to boot. How wonderful.
Tanya - I hope things have settled down in your family, and this is your month! Maybe you too Sarah? And how about a surprise baby Deb??
Imagine if all in the same month!
Fi
-
AWW Fi, Sorry that you didn't get a break hun. I'm sure Jenna isn't spitting it just because you went away. Of course, these little people know just the right time to get like this and make us feel bad though.
Buggar about stuffing up the dates with your midwife too. But YAY for popping!! hehe I think I popped with Tehya at 4 weeks LOL. Yucko at the heartburn though, I so don't miss that.
Good thing you were keeping those baby wishes away from me Fi. Mark would shoot me. Of course, he'd have to be getting some for that to happen anyways....
-
LOL, Fi... yes... it would be very cool to be a preggy buddy with Sarah again! Tho... I am hoping for a BFP more for her than for me atm!
Sorry to hear you aren't as rested and relaxed as should be after some time away from being Mummy. Yay for popping out tho! That's wonderful! Ick @ the hearburn.
Trish - gosh... I don't know how you cope with the lack of sleep! Fingers crossed for a stack of $$ for working at the Penrith show. A day away from the kids is probably payment in itself, hey?? And uno I'd babysit for you if it didn't take 10 hours to get to your place, LOL.
Zola - good to hear from you, mate! I guess you are right in the thick of that "newborn" haze.... gosh the first few weeks are hard!! LOL
Poor Miss Gab still isn't any better. We've had a couple of shocking nights. She's got so much snot that she can't breathe and is just generally blah! Mum has looked after her the last couple of days while I've been working and all Gab has wanted to do is sleep. Poor chicken! I just got home from Lara now and Mum is zonked on the couch, Gab is asleep and the dog is asleep on the mat, LOL. I was going to take a photo but the bloody dog moved!! hehehe
-
Deb, 10 hours isn't so long away ;) Poor Gab, I hope that her cold buggars off real soon and you have a snot free bub again. That would've made for a great picture, trust the damn dog to move.
I just checked out Gab's album, she is getting so big. What a cutey. I love the beanie and scarf your mum knitted for her too, so sweet.
Ok went and saw Donna for pics on Friday, of course Tehya played up like she always does with pictures. Still we got some nice ones. Went back yesterday and got some of Noah done too, fingers crossed they turn out great. I haven't got his pics done in ages.
Worked out that she is going to pay me about $15 an hour, not fantastic but not too bad either given that all I have to do is get people into the booth and to vote for the babies on display.
We're off to Bicentenial park for a few hours this morning. Have to be back just after lunch as I have a baby shower to go to. Joel is home here this weekend, didn't go to his dad's as he is sick. Noah is comming down with a cold too. Bloody sick kids.
Actually went out for dinner last night without children. Mum came down and watched the little ones and we went out for a Chinese feed with Marks parents for their birthdays. $180 later and broker though, atleast it was a great feed. Still, I can't help but think thats a good grocery shop for us :(
Hope everyone has a great Sunday!!
-
Hey guys :)
I think we have finally made a break through with Zander's sleeping  We've put him onto soy milk due to shocking runny nappies for the last few months & he seems to be doing well. No more 6+ liquid nappies a day, it's more like 1, it's still not as solid as I'd like, but it's getting there. Aaaaand, instead of getting up 6-7 times on a good night and 12+ on a bad night, we're down to 1 or 2 times :D :D It's funny too because I could never figure out what the problem was, he was just crying in his sleep, dummy in & all, and would sleep fine from 4am. Now he only cries if there's a reason overnight. So I'm thinking that maybe it was taking from 8pm-4am for the milk to digest so he could sleep properly. Anyway, we're going to continue on like this for a month & when he gets his 18 month (OMG!) needles we'll tell the Dr what's been going on.
Yay for more formal photos Trish. I keep thinking I should get some done soon, but sadly money is lacking. Also I can set them up well enough here myself!
Aww thanks Deb for hoping for my BFP more thn your own *hugs* I hope Gabby is starting to feel better now.
Congrats again on the birth of Oliver Zola!!
Tanya, yikes at the Springer episodes going on under your nose. Hope it all clears up & you don't have anything to do with that guy anymore.
-
Sarah - how great that Zander is sleeping a little better for you. Fingers crossed the trend continues :)
Trish - I hope the photos come out great anyway, I'm sure they will be lovely.
Deb - What a bugger about the cold! Lucky your mum is so good looking after Gab - I dont think I'd have the same luxury.
We have just pulled out a sleeping bag that we bought for Jenna, and have set it up on her sofa. She loves it!! One of the cats thinks its a bit of alright to crawl in the bag with her, and of course jenna loves it. If only that bloody cat didn't chew fabric, I swear she would be the greatest kitty cat in the world!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day - I am off to watch our A grade team hopefully win their semi final!! Goooo Port!
-
Fi - LOL @ Lily.... cats are great, hey? I keep thinking we should get one for Gabby once we move... but they make my eyes itch... so I guess not. The sleeping bag sounds good! Hope the A grade won the semi final!
Sarah - I'm sooo rapt for you guys that you have possibly found a solution to Zander's sleepless nights. Amazing how simple it can be sometimes, hey? Fingers crossed it stays that way! As for wishing for the BFP for you... it's purely for selfish reasons!! LOL... I'm not sure I am ready yet... hehehe.
Trish - woah @ the $180 bill!! I'd freak at that too! $15 an hour isn't too bad - better than a poke in the eye, hey? Hope the kids don't get too sick.. you've had your fair share of sickies lately.
Gab is slllowly coming good. She is being a bit of a Daddy's girl this weekend. I tried to let him have a sleep-in this morning but she just about bashed our bedroom door down to get to him. She doesn't like him out of her sight atm. I think he secretly loves it, hehehe.
Neil got his shift roster for the next year. He has a shift that ends at 6am on Christmas Day then he doesn't go back until the 29th! Yay.. so we'll have the Chrissy period covered this year. He also has New Years Eve off. He did well! He also managed to get on the same shift as a bloke that he's become pretty friendly with (and lives in the same town we are moving to). Apparently they have a 19 month old and she is preggers with their 2nd. Always good to make new friends that have kids too! She's a teacher aswell.
-
Deb, sounds like you will have a good friend there to make, you have alot in common. Aww at Gab being a Daddy's girl, Tehy is like that when Mark comes home from work or when he's in bed too. YAY at Neil getting good shifts, love that he is home for Chistmas, this year will be a good one with the little ones. They understand so much more than last Christmas.
Fi, hope the girls won yesterday. either way I'm sure it was a great game. Aww at Jenna and her sleeping bag. Sounds so cute with her pussy cat.
Sarah, yay at finally getting some sleep. I hope Zander continues his good sleeping. fantastic that you have his poo's sorted out too. Yucko at the 6 nappies a day. As bad as a newborn.
I am geting the damn kids cold. Not happy!! My throat is sore, and my chest feels like it has a tonne of bricks on it. Fingers crossed I kick it soon.
-
Hi - Yes we won the semi - so one more elimnating final and the grand final might be there for us! Woohoo! OMG - It was so funny - there were SOOOOOO many preggie bellies out and about. All thosenetballers who I guess missed part of the season will be back with a vengence next year
Deb - how great on the shifts. Thats good news! We used to swap around a little at that time of year, and work always put on a special dinner for those working Xmas day.
Trish - I hope you kick the cold before it gets hold!
-
Fi - woo hoo for the girls winning the semi! Go Port!
Trish - ick @ the cold. Sounds icky. Hope it's short-lived.
Gab is pretty much back to her happy and well self. Now we have the tough job of weaning her off the dummy during the day. She was doing so well!!
-
Hi All - Just a quickie to let you all know that we are finally well and no more illnesses with us!!! Ella no longer has a dummy and has been really good about it. We only had one morning with lots of crying at 5.30am and that was it. WOO HOO
Have just finished my christmas shopping for the family and now doing it for some friends. I can't believe that I'm so organised!!!!
Will pop in again soon.
Angela
-
Hi Angela - good to hear you are all well. Hopefully it lasts for you.
I am babysitting today! Jenna's friend Jack is in my spare bed sounds asleep after his swimming lesson.... It will be interesting to see how long he sleeps for, and what he's like when he wakes up!
I wonder if he'll wake jenna with his crying?
Oh well - as long as she gets about 90mins she's alright. Teething HORRIBLY at the moment. Chewing everything, and dribbling like a bat out of hell. Unbearable most nights too.
Ah well - thats toddlers for you huh?
HJope all else are well :)
-
Have fun babysitting, Fi! Paige used to wake up before Gab and holler for a bit... usually Gabby slept through it. Hopefully that'll be the same for you if Jack wakes up before Jenna.
Ange - good job getting the Chrissy shopping done already! You're organised. I've got 3 things on layby for Gab... does that count ;)
Gabby just had a little play with Paige. They've both grown so much so they play together very differently now. Mind you, they squabble a lot more. I just gave Paige's Mum a scrapbook that I made of the time Paige spent with us while I was looking after her. She loved it! I've still got to add a couple of pages but she wanted to take it to show her DH. I figure I don't need the album to finish it so it was no worries.
-
Fi, good on you for babysitting, I hope Jack sleeps great for you and Jenna get's her sleep too. Poor bubba getting more teeth, it's really crappy for them hey..
YAY for the netball win too. I bet you were cheering hard :)
Deb, so you finally handed over the album. Good to hear that Paige's mum loves it. I think once babies get to this age they tend to be more possessive over their toys, or anything else they've taken a liking too. I know that Tehya will only share when she's in the mood too otherwise look out if you try to take something off her...
Ange, Good on you for getting your Chrissy shopping done. I have most of mine on laybuy does that count?? Still have to find the money to pay for it all though. Good to hear that everyone is healthy too.
My cold is still hanging around and is stirring up my asthma, went to the Dr's today and now have some antibiotics, she also told me to take some cold and flu tablets, I was hesitant because of bf but she said a few won't hurt, most of them have stuff in that we give babies anyway...
Tehya is asleep, but for how long. I so miss the days when I could have a nanna nap, Noah won't go down now for love nor money, although they are both usually in bed by around 8ish lately so that's great.
I updated Tehya's album finally. I put in the new portraits into the portraits section so have a look see if you want.
Oh btw Deb, I checked out Gab's album the other day. She's such a cutey. Hmm I'm now thinking that I already commented on it... hehe, don't mind me :)

Hey Trish... we'll take all the compliments you can muster, hehehe. I don't mind you commenting on it twice ;) Hope Tehya sleeps for a little while for you.
The portaits look awesome!! Tehya's red hair stands out soooo well up against the white... really makes it a feature (which, hey... it should be!! Many women spend stacks of money to get that colour!). I love the one of her poking her head through the window! So cute!
-
Thanks Deb, we too will take all the compliments ;) Tehya just woke up, another crap affort at sleeping. The longer Tehya's hair gets and the thcker it gets the redder it is looking. The fact that she is like Casper makes it stand out even more I think.
My little Nicole Kidman, she'd better start liking it in front of the camera, I want her to make Mumma some $$. hehe

Hellllloooo!! :D
We have a Japanese student staying here, tonight is her last night. So we have a farewell party tonight for all the Japanese students... so I have been busy over the last week :)
Took her to Barmah and Echuca, which was exhausting...LOL (and expensive!!)
Everyone is well here... can't complain anyway ;)
Ummm... i am sure i had more to write than that.... hmmmm

LOL Trish... yes, Miss Tehya, start struttin' your stuff girly!! ;)
Tanya - wow... any wonder you've been scarce. The kids must have enjoyed having the Japanese student stay. Such a great experience for all involved. I should look in to doing something like that. How's Violet going? How are you going?
Normal Gabby is well and truely back. She has just eaten 2 weetbix and is now on her last corner of a piece of toast. It's nice when she has an appetite. I just wish she was more enthusiastic about fruit! She still won't eat it unless it's pureed. I've tried all matter of dried fruits and fresh fruit. She either balks at it because it's too slimey or has a tiny nibble then piffs it to the floor. I keep offering it to her tho. The only fruit she will eat is.. you guessed it, banana. The most expensive fruit in the world!! Always the way. Considering I have always detested banana, this is beyond me!
Can you believe how close our little ones are getting to 1 and a half already?? Gosh, their birthdays don't feel like they were almost 6 months ago!! Unbelievable!
-
Zander is the opposite Deb! He loves any sort of fruit as long as it's not pureed LOL! He won't eat the little tins of peaches or that sort of thing either. Freshonly for my boy & yep he has an obsession with bananas (or as he says nanananas hehe).
I wish Zander would follow Tehya's lead on growing more red hair! He's slowly slowly getting there though.
Hey Tanya, glad to see you back again :)
Had some more shocking nights here  And there I was thinking that 4 reasonable nights was the start of something! Although the poo situation is much better, so the soy milk is definately helping :D
-
Doh @ the bad nights returning, Sarah. How frustrating. It's good that the poo situation is still better - good for you and for Zander, I bet! That's great that Zander only likes fresh fruit. He could teach Gab a lesson or two. She won't even eat grapes!! What kinda kid doesn't like grapes?? Honestly!

WOW what a day. I have just gotten back in from spending the afternoon at the Police station with Joel. Bloody kids hey!!!
Tanya, good on you for having the exchange student. That really would be great for the girls. How is Violet going?? And the rest of the girls of course and yourself??
Deb, typical of kids to like the expensive fruits hey. Banana's are a luxury fruit and they haven't been in our house for months. Such a shame I used to eat atleast 1 a day. Tehya loves any fruit we give her and God forbid that anything is pureed, she stopped eating that quite a while ago. Not through me though all on her own doing.
I know, how sad is it, our babies are growing up :( Before you know it they'll be in kinder.
Sarah, I'm sure Zander will grow some gorgeous red locks some time soon. Hey, maybe the longer he takes to grow it, the longer he will keep it for ;)
This bloody cold is killing me, I hate being sick. Went out shopping today with Mum and again on the drive in there (about 15mins) Tehya spewed everywhere. It would seem that she is getting car sick. Not sure that there's anything I can do for her though. Just a pain in the butt. I make sure she is wearing a bib in the car and that usually catches most of it, but then other times....
