Ewww @ the car sick. My sisters and I used to suffer from that but just on really long trips. It drove Mum and Dad nuts (we lived in Canberra and had to travel back to Vic to visit rellies all the time). What did Joel do?? Nordy boy! Hope you feel better soon, mate!

Ok... have updated Gabby's site once again. I'm hopeless. I had to tho... I took some photos of her playing in the front yard this morning (wearing a rather stylish water-proof all-in-one that's too small for her... looked like she should have been on that movie, "Outbreak"). Anyway, she was quite taken with some rocks at the end of the driveway and decided they looked quite tasty. I took a photo as she was spitting them out and, fair dinkum, it looks like she has the mankiest teeth known to man. Like that freak out of the "free for free" ad, PMSL. So, yeah... had to update her site with that gorgeous photo ;)

Awww Deb, those pics are gorgeous, but you really do need to invest in a toothbrush for Gab ;)

In a nutshell Joel and 5 mates wagged school and decided that it would be fun to go to the new motorway and throw rocks at the glass panels and after leaving there smashed some street lights. Someone saw them and called the police and after some running they were all caught. So they were all arested and charged with 2 counts of malicious damage :( Now we have to go to court in October. They weren't throwing rocks at the cars thank God, but the fact that they were so close doesn't look good for them.

God Trish - thats awful! I so dont want teenagers. Do you think we can just put them in a cupboard for 5 years to miss that whole period? How cute are your photos? Have a look at my photo gallery, I've just updated it. There are some cute ones of Jenna :)
Tanya - nice to see you in here. How are things going? Busy I bet with Japanese students staying?
Sarah - Jenna is the same - she will eat any fruit too. She loves her sultanas (tardies) and is really into anything as long as she can hold it.

Speaking of bananas - I had 4 when I went home for 4 days last week :) They were super yum, and only $1.99/kg as they are Sth American not australian.

Spare a thought for Bec guys - she's having a rough trot with Eliza at the mo,specially with her new job and all. Eliza has had a nasty dose of gastro and fever, sounds similar to what Jessalyn has, and hasn't done too well the last few days. But she is on the repair, so maybe poor mummy will get some R&R this weekend.

Well Jenna is officially in the big girls bed! She spent the last 2 nights in there, and only woke at 3am screaming BED BED BED, so Shane slept the rest of the night with her. I guess it will be a longish process, but she's being good and not getting out so far. Just sitting on the bed screaming.
She's in there now for her nap - has been 20mins and still no sign of her sleeping yet. I guess I'll go and check on her position in a few minutes. She has a tendency to crawl on top of the covers and fall asleep there.

Oh and when I updated my photos yesterday babies online told me Jenna was 500 days old! How about that!

Hey Trish, just wanted to let you know that your naughty boy was on the radio this morning :eek: They said 6 teeneagers throwing rocks at cars on the M7 blah blah blah no cars or people damaged. Doesn't sound good that they are claiming it was at cars, when you know they actually weren't :(

Yeah Sarah I heard, not exactly what I want my son on the radio for. OMG!!! I am the mother of a criminal :(:crying:

I actually found a story about it on the Sydney morning heaald site today. Doesn't say alot. I am so afraid that they are going to make examples of them, even though it "really" isn't as bad as it sounds. As usual the press informs incorrectly. The boys weren't throwing rocks from the bridge, rather they were throwing them on it.

Six teenagers accused of throwing rocks from a footbridge over the M7 will face court next month.
Police arrested the six, all aged 14, just before 3pm yesterday, after the alleged incident at a footbridge near Railway Parade, Quakers Hill in Sydney's west.
No-one was injured and no cars were damaged.
After being questioned by police, the teenagers were each charged with two counts of malicious damage. They are due to appear at Cobham Children's Court on October 3

One of the guys at work lives in Quakers Hill Trish & he said that the way they set up that bridge there are heaps of boulders there. He said it's just begging for kids to throw them & there are always rocks on the footpath from kids walking by.

Apparently the rocks that they were throwing were more of a pebble size. Still no excuse though, but yeah, there are heaps or really big boulders.

Awww, Trish! You poor thing! Joel is a naughty, naughty boy! Still, it's very unfair that the media have made it bigger than what it is. Is Joel feeling bad about it? I bet going to the police station scared the crap outta him! (and, of course, you!). Maybe high schools need to adopt the strategy that some private schools use of ringing parents when kids don't show up at school??

Fi - wow @ Jenna in the big-girl bed! Clever girl. Gab won't be in one for a loooong while yet. She'd fall out all the time, LOL. Even with a side-rail, I don't reckon she'd stay put. Thanks for letting us know about Bec.

It's 9:04am and Gab is still asleep!! Sheesh. She's a little sleeper. Yesterday she slept from 12:30pm through til 4:30pm. I am beginning to wonder if it's toooo much sleep. Hmmm

We went to my BIL's place last night. He was steaming up a train that Neil's Dad built from scratch that hasn't been steamed up in 5 years! It was kind of a resurrection in a way as Neil and his brothers are quite attached to the train (obviously... their Dad poured his heart and soul into it). It's one of those mini trains that people can actually sit in? Really cool. We're going to get a train track around the house when we move to Dunkeld. It'll be great for the kids! Gabby was a little intrigued but HATED the whistle. The poor sausage just screamed every time they blew it. She's had a ride on a train before but I guess that was outside with heaps going on so she wasn't really afraid of the whistle (plus, she was way up in the back carriage). That was our excitement for the night, LOL.

Awwww, poor Gab. I am sorry I had to laugh at her being scared of the whistle.. norty me!! Sounds like the boys should get the train out a bit more often...

Violet has a new trick (lol) if she farts or burps (or any1 for that matter) she says "pumme" LOL... CUTE!!!

Hi Girls,
Just wanted to let you know Bec has had to rush Eliza to hospital as she is very sick with gastro.
She has a gastric nasal tube in and will be in till Sunday. Poor little petal has lost 10% of her body weight in 2 days.
Not sure if she is allowed visitors so maybe call before you go to see her. Or she should be home by Sunday, maybe call then as Bec is so tired from Eliza being so sick

Well Jenna has a limp! I have no idea what is wrong with her (of course all the bad things go rushing through your head :( ) but we have "this little piggied" every single toe, and pushed and pulled every part of her leg, foot and hip, and she wont complain so I'm stuck. She was knocked over by the neighbours dog yesterday, so I'm thinking she maybe twisted her ankle, but the little bugger wont stop! She just keeps going with next to no balance and a little limp. It'll be the dr on Monday/Tuesday if it hasn't got better.

Fi, I hope Jenna's limp gets better real quick. Buggar that you can't work out where its sore. That's the problem with babies, they can't tell us.

Deb, Joel's school sends you a text if they haven't turned up at school. The boys all went to roll call then took off. Obviously they think they are too smart for it all. Don't you just love packing!! And just when you get it all finished you have to bloody unpack it. Still, moving is a great way to have a clean up.

Long, cold day for me out at the show. Was so windy and I was out in the open. I just know it's done no good for my cold. Back out there again tomorrow. Oh well, I really do need the money. Might need to get a lawyer :(

Going to look at Jenna's pics now.. Aww Fi, she is so cute. I love her spag face. No wonder you get comments on her curls, they are gorgeous. Now what colour is her hair exactly, some pics it looks red in and other blonde... Maybe I am just too tired to see properly.

LOL Trish - Its mousy brown - just like mine ;) But there are tints of blonde and sometimes a like auburny colour - but its pretty much just mousy brown!
Just talked to Bec all. She has spent the last 2 nights in hossy with Eliza. Apparently just after I talked to her on Friday she got worse really quickly, and her GP gave her a referral for casualty. Her poor little bottom exploded when she got there, so its not been much fun. The little thing had lost 2kg of body weight. She's almost back up a kg, and they are taking her tube out today to see how her tummy copes with all the food they have pumped in, and they will try some lunch.
She should be allowed to come home tonight.
Trish - why were you at the show? What show? Whats this about a lawyer??

OK Fi, I was at the Penrith show, working with my gf who is our photographer, just helping her out, and earning a few extra $$. The lawyer willl be for my very naughty son Joel who has been in trouble with the Police. Go back a few post's and you will see what I am talking about :(

Hopefully litle Eliza is on the mend now and she gets alot better so that she can come home tonight.

Fi - thanks for the update on Bec. Gosh... 2kgs :( And Eliza's not exactly a chubba bubba so that's a lot to lose.
Any money Jenna's hair goes lighter in the summer??

Trish - you should make Joel go and get a job and pay for his own lawyer!! I guess he's still a bit young tho, hey? Hopefully they won't be too tough on him and just scare him enough so that he doesn't do silly stuff like that again.

Gab let us sleep in until almost 10am this morning! Hooray! Mind you, we didn't get to bed until midnight (she refused to sleep at my sister's place). She had more fun playing with their puppies. She's soooo gentle with them! Just gorgeous.

Now I get it! I was so confused about why you were at a show, and why you needed a lawyer to help you get money!
It alllll makes sense now. My little brother had a few run ins with the law - he was convicted of assaulting a police officer when he was 18 I think - luckily he was able to have that on his juevenile record so apparently its not there now. He had another run in not long ago for trespass - a few of his mates broke into the stadium in Hamilton to kick their soccer ball around, and the cops came and took them away!
Try not to worry Trish - I agree with Deb though - is there anyway of making him earn some of the money for the lawyer? And what about Mr-ex - will he help out in any way?

I spoke with Mr Ex this morning about that actually. I told him that Mark and I were talking and decided that if he got a fine it would be good to make him work to pay us back. Shane (ex) has his own business so we said that maybe he could make him do some work there to pay us back. Thankfully, because he is a juvenille he is covered by Legal Aid, or something like that. I called them the other day and was told that only see the boys on the morning of the hearing and talk about what they are going to do for them then. Abit silly I think, Not like that they have much time to discuss anything or to advise of them what sort of things they can do to make themselves appear abit better such as character references. If they were being heard at the local court Legal Aid would handle it and I could get him an appt early Sept, but as he is a child still they handle it differently.

Deb, how cute at Gab with the puppies. I bet you loved the sleep in, I would kill to get one til that late.

I got to bed early last night thankfully, I was stuffed. Was in there by 8.30pm but Tehya had a shocker and I woke feeling even worse. The weather was much nicer today so I didn't freeze out there. Mark brought Teh and Noah out to the show and they had some fun playing the clowns and Noah had some rides.

Silly man didn't bring a hat or sunblock for them though so I had to go and buy a hat from one of the stalls for them. Why don't men understand that you can still get burnt when it's overcast. Especially little casper white kiddies :)

Tehya has taken to finding any little scratch or mark on herself and saying owie and making you kiss it for her. Very cute but sometimes it's overkill.

LOL @ overkill, Trish. They're a bit like that, hey? Gabby has taken to handing me my shoes every chance she gets. She handed Neil his boots this morning while he was laying in bed and cracked it because he wouldn't put them on!! LOL
Glad to hear that Legal Aid will help out with Joel's court stuff... though I agree with you that it's silly that they don't even see the boys until just before the hearing! There must be someone you can call or email to get advice about what he can do to help himself in court?? Maybe even just ask at the police station??

Neil is gone once again :( At least there's only a few weeks to go.

Deb, I was told to call Childrens serivces and they gave me a phone number of a Solicitor hotline thingo to call, I did that on Firday and only got to talk to the receptionist who was the one that told me about seeing the lawyer on the day, the Solicitor was supposed to call me back but of course that didn't happen. I am planning on calling again tomorrow. I want as much info as possible.

Aww shame that Neil has gone again. I don't know how your doing it, I'd be going crazy by now. I really feel it if Mark's even late home, by that time in the day I NEED a break.

Hey, with Gab bringing you your shoes, who needs a dog ;) Tehya does the same thing around here too. I think she has a shoe fetish... must get it from her Mum :D

Hehehe.. yes... our little girls are bound for shoe shopping, I think! I think I am coping ok without Neil because I only have Gab. I can see why you'd be hangin' for a break when Mark gets home from work - you kinda have a bit more going on than I do ;) In saying that, there's days when I have a little cry because it would be nice to have him home... just to pick up the slack, iykwim?
Hope you can get some info out of children's services. You're a good Mum to find out all the info you can to help Joel out - that, in itself, will probably help him, you never know?

Was supposed to go out to Brandons PSSA sports carnival but it rained abit here and I'm still not feeling 100%. I got to have a small nana nap for about 40 minutes on the lounge this afternoon while Tehya napped and Noah watched ABC. I taped that Prehistoric World that was on last night for Noah and he's watching it AGAIN now. He loves anything to do with dinosaurs atm.

things have been awful over our way, with Anneliese in hospital and Xander with gastro, poor Declan has been really wuiet... HE's finally walking everywhere, except when he tries to keep up with Xander (its quicker to crawl...) He says "peeease" when he feels like it, but mainly just whispers. But when Anneliese is screaming her head off, and i know im too upset or stressed to settle her, i put her in her bouncer, and say to Declan "Shush bubba?" and he'll go up to her, pat her tummy really gently and say "shhh shhh." its so gorgeous :) And great when we're driving!!

Simone, I hope that things start to settle down for you now. Declan sounds so cute, what a nice big brother :)

Tehya is playing cars in the loungeroom. She had a great sleep this afternoon, she crashed out in the car on the way home from the meetup and slept until nearly 5.30. So almost 2 and a half hours.

Still have this bloody cold, and the worst bloody headache. have been taking cold and flu tablets but they don't do much. Nadine suggested that it might be a tension headache too. Given my last few days I'd say it's very likely.

Sorry just a quickie to let you know we came home today, still very much under the weather but hopefully throu weight gain and tlc we will get on top of it. Thankfully Eliza has re adjuste to sleeping in her own bedroom with mum not beside her. As the girls said it was a very scarey time poor little pet started with tht projectile vomits and lethargic only to have the runs completley wash her out and have no energy. We pushed her on a stretcher bed from Emergency to level 3 and her room with out her moving just like a starfish. It was amazing the weight gan of fluid in one night could be 1 kg still alot more to go so bring on all the sweets.
Better go and spend some time with my husband ...you know it has been tough on him no having us around....try eating crap out of a vending machine for 5 days.

Gabby's Aunty Lauren looked after her today while I worked. They had a brilliant time! Lauren took her to her work and our other 2 sister's work for a visit. They did all kinds of things today which is good because Gab needs to get out of the house these days. She goes a bit stir crazy. Half of her toys have been packed so she's got even less to play with! You guys all know how quickly they grow bored of their toys!

The good thing about packing her toys away Deb is when you pull them all back out it's like Christmas again :)

Good to hear that Gab had a fun day out with her Aunties today. Hope you had a good day at work too.

Too true, Trish! She'll have a blast when we are settled into the new place.

Urrgh.... work sucked! I worked at a school where a lot of the kids have "issues". It's really sad... and hard work. I hate having to enforce rules with some kids yet let one kid get away with blue murder just because he has "problems"... but, that's the nature of the job, I guess. Also, the staff at the school a reeeeallly unfriendly. They were a couple of years ago too. It's the first time I've been back to that school and it hasn't changed a bit! Oh well... only a few more weeks....

Or if you get called up for them again you could say NO!!! I bet it's hard temping, never knowing the staff or students your going to get. And I remember as kids we always played up on the sub teacher :(

Hmm problems hey.... Maybe I can pull out that excuse for Joel. Afterall guys that are done for serious crimes bring up their troubled youth. CAn I use the fact that he's froma broken home and has ADHD and that he refuses to be medicated for it.... Hmmm. My mind wonders......

Hey everyone, im going to perth this weekend, for 4-6 weeks, going to have abreak from DH, just having a couple of probs and decided it was best for some time apart...
But on the up side, looking forward to seeing my family!!

Oh for sure - they are very real and legitimate reasons to help explain his behaviour, Trish. And, don't get me wrong... I realise that there are kids that have real legitimate problems in these schools. There's just not enough support in schools to cater for it. Sometimes there's an aide but they are very rarely in the room full time. Usually it's left up to the teacher to deal with whilst trying to cater to 20+ other children! Ultimately, the kids that suffer the most are the ones that aren't a problem because so many resources are used on the kids that DO have problems. It just frustrates me :(
It's definitely hard work emergency teaching. Half the time you're not even told if you have an ADD or behavioural issue child in the class but you usually find out who it is within the first few moments!! It's just nice to get some warning because my usual tactics with dealing with kids usually backfire with these kids because they don't respond well to a firm voice. It's a juggling act!

Simone - oh no! Sorry to hear that you and your DH are having probs. I hope that your time in Perth helps the situation. Sometimes it's good to have a bit of space to gain some perspective and just take a breath. Being around your family is probably a good thing too - that support will no-doubt help you get through such a tough time. Have a safe trip! Will you have access to the internet?

Simone, hope you enjoy your break in Perth. I'm sure it will be great to be back with your family. Are all the kids going with you??

Deb, I so know what you mean. I could scream and yell at Joel unitl I am blue in the face and it goes rightover his head, either that or he fires up. I feel sorry for the other kids in the class too, especially when they are trying to work and you have one or two kids being flips. Just P's the teacher off for the rest of the class.

I guess the school's don't feel that they need to expalin what class your teaching and what sort of students you'll be getting. Maybe you need to start a diary on the bad schools and classes ;)

Sometimes I think with Joel he jsut needs a good boot up the @rse but in reality I know that it will make no bloody difference:(
