Fi - awwww @ all the cuddles and kisses. Yay for you guys having a break to go and see HP. That must have been nice. How did you SIL go with her? LOL @ being over the pregnancy already! Happy Birthday to Shane for tomorrow!!!
Dee - they are all freaky coincidences!
Tanya - hope you got all the stuff uninstalled. I hate it when that happens!
Oh dear @ leaving the monitor too low again the other night. Gab always has music on during the day or a fan at night so I can hear how loud I need it. Probably best to have it turned right up and have the crap scared out of you when Violet cries, hey?
Dinky - how did you go at the drive-in? Wish we still had one here in Geelong. Sounds like Hayley is going well!
Hi to everyone else! Hope everyone had a good weekend!
-
Hey girls,
Fi, I hope Shane had a great birthday :)
Went to Watos works Chrissy family day. They had rides for the kids, camels, free BBQ (great for a vego...lol), free drinks and santa came and gave the kids pressies. Em got a doll that glows when you squeze it, a baby capsule and a bag of yummy stuff, Violet got a Baby Eyore (Sp?) and pooh blocks and a bag of yummy stuff. Sill Wat didn't put Alecia down cause the cut off was 12yo... meanie he is, she is only 1 year over the cut off!
Anyway...
Tanya
-
Awwwww.... poor Alecia!
I remember one year when we went to my Dad's work's xmas party in Canberra (he was working on New Parliment house... he was a draftsman). Anyway, I was about 8 or 9 at the time and I was given a game that was more appropriate for a 5 year old!! I was soooo annoyed! To make things worse, my sister got a really nice barbie doll... one of those ones with the extra long hair (and she was a brunette just like me!!). To this day I maintain they mixed our presents up! Not happy, Jan!
Ok... Gabby update...
She's definitely getting around more. She manages to get herself from one end of the mat to the other by doing little bum shuffles and leaning forward. She gets herself on her tummy from a sitting up position but cracks it because she can't go anywhere but backwards while on her tummy. She has started to get up on her hands and knees and rock every now and then so crawling is not far away! She has also started using things to try and pull herself up (mainly me... she pulls my top down!!). Mum taught be a trick for when she does it. She said to put my thumbs under her armpits to give her a little support but it encourages her to use her legs to lift herself up rather than just her arms. Works a treat! She thinks she is just tops once she is standing up!
She still doesn't roll... I don't think she ever will, LOL. Oh and she bloody well wants everything she can get her hands on!
Chips are the best thing in the world. If she sees someone eating them and she doesn't get one, hell hath no fury! At Carols by Candlelight on Saturday night, she tried to steal some chips off one of the older kids. Thankfully the other child said it was ok for her to have one. I find it amazing because she's never shown so much interest in food before!
Ok.... I could probably rave on about Gab for ages so I will stop, LOL. I've put some more piccys on her site of her at Carols and also some of her in the Peter Alexander PJ's that my step-mum bought for her (oooahhh designer lables already ;) ).

Just a reminder to all platinum members... there's only about 10 days to vote for the Platinum Member in the Hotseat. So make sure you vote!
-
Hey girls :)
Yay for Gab... she is steaming along atm Deb... watch out!! LOL
Fi, Star Wars III, was ok... now that the jigsaw is complete it makes me want to watch the old ones :) . I Would like to see Narnia too... looks great! I haven't been to the flicks in aaagggees!!
I hope Violet is teething, cause she is having restless nights! Not too bad, but I am starting to feel it after two nights of it.
We are appying for another house, it isn't in a very nice neighbourhood, but the deadline is fast approaching! The house is ok, it has a huge rumpus room and the yards are neat and tidy. I am just tired of looking! So we should know yay or nay in 24-48hrs :)
Tanya
-
Fingers crossed for the house, Tanya!
-
Hi Y'All,
Yes I have been slack, the only advantage with these forums now is if you don't post for 2 weeks it is only a few posts to read. We seemed to have lost a few mums and bubs. Oh well what do they say quality not quantity.
Tanya: Hope all goes well with the house
Deb:Your carols pics are gorgeous, especially the one of you and gab with the candle
Fi:How you feeling? Yah on the beautiful cuddes. Hope Shane had a good birthday
Dee:Hope your doing ok
Dinky:Glad to hear Hayley is well.
We are having sleep issues at the moment, I think it is teeth not sure. Eliza has to go back to the MCHN on thursday because of her weight and her ability to become a human volcano errupting (vomiting) It is starting to become an issue, although I don't freak as much as I use too. Its getting to the point where it is a pain.
Better run
Bec
-
Bec - sorry to hear you are having sleep issues atm. I had to giggle at how you describe Eliza's vomitting but I am sure it's no laughing matter. Hope Thursday goes well and your HN doesn't go and make you feel yuk like a lot of them seem intent on doing!
Thanks for the comments re. the photos at Carols. Gabby had THE best time!
-
Bugga bugga bugga I did a huge post this morning & now it's gone :( Will be back later to update if my stupid computer works.
-
Grrr! That's so annoying, Sarah! (not you... losing the post... hehehe).
-
Hi all,
Not much to report here except my "evil caneval" child is going to end up with rather large bumps on her head. Our latest trick it to pull herself upright ton her knees and wave with one hand. Not too great when you get off balance and smack your head into a wall, cat, window, leg omg I could go on and on.
No mamoth spews today, but there still is dinner.
Better run she is doing her screaming for attention thingy
Bec
Hope everyone else is ok
-
Awwww poor Eliza! Still... you describe it so well, Bec ;) I hope she does her little trick for us on Sunday :)
-
Hi,
Jenna is chucking up a bit at the moment too - I just got a nice one all over my clean t-shirt. lovely.
And I hear ya on the bumps Bec. The only good news is they actually start learning to fall differently. Jenna falls on her bum heaps now, rather than sliding off to the side and banging her head!!!
Fi
-
Hi girls,
Took Violet to the MCHN today... average average average :) She kept going on about how wonderful she is...lol... I know :) .
I watched the video fotage of Violet when she was just born (haven't seen it before)... Aawwww!! She was such a cute newborn! Nice round head, not squished at all. I didn't realize Alecia had filmed when the placenta was coming out and you could see it coming out in the edge of the fotage... hmmmm!?
Speaking of bumps on the head...Violet pulled a kitchen stool on her head the other day... #-o Poor girl.
Tanya
-
Ouchies! Poor Violet! Good to hear she is still little miss average, Tanya. It's a nice place to be... right in the middle! ;)
Fi - icky @ the spew! How are you feeling?
Gotta clean, clean, clean today. I have MG here tomorrow and I have decided that my house is the yukkiest of the bunch. Ah well... at least the kids can build up their immunity while they are here ;)
-
Deb, my kids immunity doesn't need anymore building up... ;) I think if they were to go somewhere where their immunity could be built up anymore it would be the tip! j/k
Sooo tired today! Violet had a horror night :( I am thiking it was something she ate. Yesterday she got hold of Emily's crumpet that had honey on it! By the time I relised it was waaaay too late! I don't think we got to sleep until after 2:30 (on the couch mind you, Wato has been working arvo shift and I thought I would let him get a couple of hours sleep at least!) Then she woke at 6:30, then Em was up at 7... bluh!
Emily pooed on the floor last night b4 betime on her bedroom floor... #-o Violet was in there playing too...no prizes for guessing what happened. Needless to say I was quite upset with Emily!
Tanya
-
Ewwww @ the poo, Tanya. Ah... siblings, hey? Any wonder my youngest sister got up and walked at 9 months old... she had to keep up with us (or run away from us, hehehe). Sorry to hear you didn't get very much sleep. It's gotta be the worst form of torture known to man!
Just took some lunch and snacks to Neil at work (he always forgets to take enough food and comes home starving and wanting dinner at 5pm ). As soon as Gabby saw him, she went nuts! I couldn't get to him fast enough. I told him that I'd just leave her with him for the rest of the day, LOL. I don't think his boss thought that was a funny joke.
-
Hi all I'm back!! well only for a quick visit once again. I have been lent aputer by my FIL but the bloody thing has no modem so I have to get that sorted out then maybe I'll b back in action again,
A quick update on Tehya, she is crawlin everywhere and talks like no tomorrow. Still no Mum though :( She has started cruising and thinks she can walk everywhere. Somebody needs to tell this baby to slow down. She still only has 2 teeth but the tops ones are still playing up on her. She still isn't a great sleeper but I have resigned myself to it that she'll probably never be. Tehya is still fairly average in weight for her age, she's just on 8kgs. We had her at the kids hosp again2 weeks back. Thankfully all was ok, they were checking her out for a lung infection again.
Fi and Dee I hope that those little bubs on the inside are growing nicely and that the heat doesn't knock you around too bad. It was nearly 40 degrees here yesterday, so glad I'm not pg this year :)
Hopefully I will be back on again before Xmas. If not I hope you all have a great one.
Take care
Trish
-
Yay! Good to hear from you, Trish. Sounds like Tehya is going great guns! LOL @ trying to tell a 4th born to slow down... ain't gonna happen! Grrr @ her still not sleeping tho! Hope you can get a modem soon and come back to chat!
-
Hey Trish - great to see you. I'm doing alright - other than being completely exhausted, but Dee aint so good. She had some bad news last week.......
Deb - your house so isn't feral :D My house may be new, but there is crap all over the floor. Poor Jenna will have a steel gut by the time she is 3!!
Tanya - yucko on the poo. And poor Violet. Do you think it was the honey? Hopefully she came out of it OK.
Fi
-
Thanks, Fi! But I still think your house is lovely compared to mine. I'll feel a hell of a lot better once the floors are polished, the kitchen painted etc. etc. Hope you start to feel better soon! I remember the first horrid trimester of pregnancy all too well - and I didn't have an 8 month old baby!! Arrrgh!
-
Fi, I am now thinking it wasn't the honey. I never really knew why not to give a baby honey, but I did some reading today and realise that the result of babies eating honey may be much worse! Infant Botulism it's called. Not sure what her prob was last night. I only just put her to bed now... I am hoping she sleeps through... I am a bit tired!
Trish, great to hear form you. I hope you can get a modem for hte comp soon... it is sooo quiet in here now.
Anyway better go to bed
Tanya

Guee it feels like ages..only 2 days thou 8-[
Hi all
well what a 48hrs I have had....cried enough tears to water a 3rd world country into a flourishing greenland.
After my last post where I casually mentioned "no spews". We went to my Sil's birthday party where Eliza had a vomit, then she started to burn up, so we can home and checked her temp..conflicting 37 - 39. So off to Dr Hotty it was 39, hmmm he might not find me attractive now my daughter has barfed all over him to the bile stage. Poor mite, he stuck some panadol up her botty and we were told to either wait and see or go to casuality. We came home she had a bottle and I thought the temp had gone down alittle. Breakfast came back at me..rang the pead in tears who wouldn't see me unless my GP had advised too (I just want to know why I have to spend money on seeing him when she is well and he wouldn't see her when she was sick and he charges $$$$, he was in bed cause he had seen me the night before and luckily I had an appointment to see MCHN (who I take back all the nasty things I have ever said) Well her temp had come down and kept lunch down. Late night bottle came back up so DH made me go into casuality with Eliza ....there are so many sick kids around with gastro..so many spew conainers..lol. I just got them to check her temp and it was normal so we came home, she has just had breaky and it stayed down so fingers crossed, its just so hard when they are dryretching too. On a good note even with the spews she put on 330grms in a month so she too now is av weight. We are off to see a pead dietician to see what might be going on, as it is not an unwell spew just spew.
Oh sorry for rambling
Sorry I will do personals tomorrow when I can start to think normally
Bec
-
Hi All
Finally we have 2 teeth, has taken long enough, but Hayley is hilarious and thinks they are really weird, always poking her tongue out now.
We are all doing okay, although I have a shocking cold/flu now and feel like crap! Hayley has decided to start pulling herself up on everything, so I think its time to child proof the house.
We have our new Xmas tree up and Hayley just laughs at it. She was brilliant with Santa though and I got a lovely pic of all the girls with him.
I was hoping to do personals but Hayley is screaming so I will bbl to do them.
-
Awww Bec!!!! You poor thing... and poor Miss Eliza! What is going on with Missy Moo? You're right about gastro going around... a couple of the bubs in MG have had it recently too. Yay for Eliza putting on weight regardless of the spewing. I'm glad to hear that your MCHN was helpful (finally!). Give me a call any time if you need to talk, ok?
Dinky - yay for Hayley's teeth! LOL @ her laughing at the Christmas tree.
Small victory for me! Neil has finally come to the conclusion that his business is going nowhere fast and is considering giving up! I know it sounds mean and nasty but it just takes his time away from us. For the last couple of weeks, he has been working 12 hour days and is just buggered when he comes home. It's been nice tho - he has actually been spending time inside with us! No disappearing to his shed to work on his f-ing catalogue! AND, shock horror... last night he realised Gabby had a pooey nappy and he went and changed it without me asking! I didn't even know about it. He has also been helping out a lot more with her. It would be nice if he helped with the housework too but baby steps!
-
Oh Bec - rough couple of days for you. Hope the weekend is better!!!
Deb - PMSL on the baby steps. I think shane would say the same about me. I'm so slack sometimes.
Glad to hear hayley has her first teethies Dinky. And how cute on the chirssie tree. I'm still trying to decide if I'm game!!
We won our netball grand final!! YAY!!! I wayyyyyyy overdid it though, I'm still cramping now, and Shane is very grumpy. I had to play GD the whole game, and we only had 6 players, and they had 8!!! Fresh legs suck!! But we slogged it out - one down in the first 2 quarters, equal at the third, and we finally won by 4 goals. YAY! Very excited - but just have to take th rest of the evening easy as I want this cramping to stop.
Fi
-
Well Done Fi :) I hope you rest up well tonight. Put your feet up :)
Bec, I hope Eliza is better. Dosn't sound like very much fun over at your place. I hope you are feeling better too.
Deb, yay for more time with Neil :) . I hope you can get him to help our with the house work too ;)
Dinky, yay for little toothies :) We are still waiting for Violet's... I think she is teething now! And I am almost pulling my hair out with her!
Like I said Violet is driving me nuts ATM! I am hoping it's teething, cause if this is the way she is going to behave from now on I think I am going to die!
Tanya
-
Oh dear, Tanya. Doesn't sound like you are having a great time atm. Come on widdle toofies! Come through so Mummy can get some sleep!!
Fi - WOOO HOOO and CONGRATULATIONS for winning your grand final! That's a fair effort. Hope the cramping disappeared. Nordy girl for over-doing it. I'm sure bubs will be fine tho... maybe just got giggled around a little more than usual ;)
Off to swimming this morning. It's the second-last lesson. Neil is working today and next Saturday so he's not going to be there for her last one. Ah well... I am sure we'll have her in swimming lessons again. I'm probably not going to bother again until she's about 2 or 3. Will see.
I've put my hair up in piggy tails and it feels so strange but nice at the same time, LOL. Mind you, I didn't bother with doing a straight part at the back so it's probably all skew-wif. Ahhhh well.....
-
Hi guys :)
How is everyone doing this fine sunday morning? :)
I'm in a bit of a spastic mood... we had Felius's Christmas dinner last night, which was fun, but then I just couldn't sleep!! I'm waaaaay overtired! Aaahh well....must have a nanna nap later today :)
I've got a whole day of cookinglined up for our Chrissy presents. What's everyone else up to?
Hope everyone is doing well.... I'm a bit crap with the personals.. but I do keep an eye on what you're all up to :)
-
Hey girls,
Still a bit tired here... still in catch up mode. Violet slept trhough on Friday night but she had a bit of trouble last night... not as bad as usual tho. I think she is definately teething, but they aren't near ready to pop thro yet *sigh*
Zola I think there are other reasons for your 'spastic mood' :D ... well done :)
How was swimming Deb? I think I am going to get my hair cut soon... Wato gave me $50 to go towards it, not sure when I am going to have the time to get it done tho... Soon I hope :)
Tanya
-
Hi girls thought I`d pop in here it`s been a few days since I last poked my head in.
Zola - Congratulations again on your great news.
Tanya - Poor Violet teething, I hope they don`t take too long to pop their little heads out. Enjoy your hair cut and I finally watched Star Wars III last night but I went to sleep in it so I have no idea what happened, unfortunately I`m sure my hormones haven`t settled back to normal or I`m having a phantom pregnancy as the only time I sleep through movies is when I`m pg and we all know that`s not possible.
Fi - Yay for winning the grand final. I hope the cramping has stopped.
Deb - How was the swimming?
Dinky - Yay for 2 teeth. I hope your feeling better soon.
Bec - hugs to you, I hope Eliza is feeling better by now.
Oh dear kids, I have to go Alister`s come in crying something about Michael throwing balls at him.
-
Sorry guys... lack of personals. Have been crook all night and day with gastro. Yuk! Spent the whole night vomitting. Gabby woke up with vomit all around her. Thankfully she's coped with it well tho. She's off her food but it relatively happy. Mum has been looking after us (and Neil of course).
Hope everyone's weekend was better than mine!
-
Ohh Deb,
Hope you feel better soon, we missed you today!
I'm a little under the weather..not gastro alkehio.
At least missy is on the mend
Hope everyone else is well, I promise personals tomorrow when Nickel the pickle isnt home.
Yeh I love warm days and a pool and drinkies. Sorry Fi for staying so long.
Bec
PMSL well we are 9 months do we go to another thread?
-
Hi all :)
Poor you Deb, nothing worse than cleaning up spew when you feel like spewing yourself... YUCK!! I hope you are all much better today. Great to hear that Gab is handling it alright tho.
Fi, I hope your cramping stopped! I hope w/e was a relaxing one... you deserve it :)
Bec, glad to hear Eliza is getting better, lets hope it continues.
Dee, I am sure you are emotionally tired! It's easy to put it down to other things, like pregnancy, or a baby keeping you up at night, but having lost a pregnancy, I am sure, can be very tiring too... take it easy... heaps of hugs.
Violet is doing a bit better, still up earlier than usual. She was upset yesterday, but I gave her some teething relief stuf and she seemed ok.
Went to my sisters church for their christmas thing... they had a jumping castle... Didn't see Emily until Santa arrived!! lol... her latest thing is jumping castles... she loves them!
Hope you are all doing well :)
Tanya
-
Tanya - good to hear that Violet is doing a little better. LOL @ Emily disappearing all day - yay for jumping castles!! Yay for getting your hair cut. You'll have to show us some photos. Gab's swimming lesson on Saturday went really well. She full on kicks and splashes with her hands now and no more crying! Yay! Last lesson next week :( Although... Fi told me what they do at Jenna's swimming lessons and we have been ripped off! I'm going to a different pool next time, me thinks.
Bec - a little hungdydover hey? Hope you feel better soon. Sounds like you had a great day. I was sooooo peed off when I got sick. I was looking forward to our get-together (and a few champers ;) ). I had made a great, big platter of slices to bring and even a yummy pasta salad. What a waste! Neil and Mum ate most of it yesterday while my stomach churned, LOL. Yay for 9 months for Miss Eliza!!
Dee - I agree with Tanya... you are probably emotionally tired. Having a snooze during a movie is probably really theraputic (or could it be that I don't like Star Wars movies??? ;) ). Hope you are doing well, matey :)
Zola - hope you managed to sneak in a Nanna nap yesterday. Hey... and don't worry about being crap with the personals... just so long as you pop in every now and then and let us know how you're doing ;)
Soooooo hot and yuk today. Looks like we might get a cool change earlier than expected tho. Lots of dark clouds and wind.
Gab and I are feeling better. I have a headache and AF made her nasty appearance but, hey, at least I am not hurling my guts up, hey? ;)
I rang Harvey Norman today to see when they have Santa photos and they do them on the weekend. Yay! So Neil will be able to come to see Gabby's first photo with Santa. It also means I won't have to go into town. I loathe town at this time of year!
-
Deb - I`m feeling much better now. Hope your headache improves and Yay that Neil will be able to see Gabby`s photo being taken with Santa.
Tanya - your probably right about being emotionally tired. Glad Violet is feeling better and LOL @ not seeing Emily until Santa arrived.
Bec - Happy 9 months to Eliza, glad to hear she`s much better.
-
I just thought I'd try again to get a post in.....
Zander is doing really well at the moment, sleep is going pretty well too which is an unusual thing for me to say!! Generally I am up once a night still, but that's ok compared to what I'm used to LOL!
He has almost 6 teeth now - 3 are out, 2 have broken the skin & 1 is just under the skin. Soooo he'll have 4 bottom teeth & 2 top teeth very soon I think.
Crawling is going well, walking round the furniture is great but super scary for mummy & daddy! Eating is a bit of a challenge at the moment - whenever he has lumps he has to stick his fingers in his mouth to feel them!! Pretty gross actually!
I'm very very cranky with my cat ATM though. She has taken 2 swipes at Zander in the last few days. On Sunday he coped in from forehead to cheek, just missing his eye. Yesterday while I was at work & my sister had him, he got it all over his left hand - not good considering the amount of food he gets on his hands, I'm worried about it getting infected.
Bugga, he's awake so no time for personals. I should be able to get on after swimming this afternoon.....
-
Hey all,
Bec - dont apologise!! It was lovely to have you. Did you go to IL's in the end? And did you walk home?
Deb - you were missed (and your slice platter..... YUM!) Hope you guys are feeling lots better, and gastro is almost gone. No more AF for me for a few months. It happened last time as well, just when I stock up on all the feminine hygiene stuff - I get preggers. I wont be needing those for another year!!
Zola - hope you are feeling OK. I hear ya on the tired thing. Its been the hardest thing for me to cope with this time around. Thanks goodness I'm not working.
Tanya - Jenna's came trhough in about 3 days. From when we saw two little white spots, to when the teeth actually broke the surface. Maybe you'll have a similar thing? LOL on the jumpy castle. Wouldn't you love one of those in your back tyard?? Which teething stuff do you give? I've tried the Weleda homeopathic stuff, but I reckon it made Jenna puke. My brother's childcare centre would give their daughter the homeopathic stuff for teething, but they would give panadol and bonjella. Go figure huh?
Dee - hope the days are going OK for you.
Yay on teethies Sarah!!!! All those little pegs sticking up will be very cute in chrissie photos. What will you do about the cat?? Thats not very good huh. One of our cats lets Jenna do absolutely anything to her without even growling, and the other one just gives her a wide berth. We are very lucky I think. Isn't the walking on furniture thing shocking? Jenna gave herself a fat lip yesterday. It looked so funny. Bad mummy and daddy for laughing........
Once they learn to fall on their bum its OK, but while they sort of slide sideways, ohhhh so many bumps on the noggin.
We had the MCHN yesterday. Jenna is only 8kg, which surprised me, but did brilliantly on all her developmental milestones. It seems we are doing everything right which surprised me!! Oh - except I have to drop a feed. Apparently he's only allowed 3 feeds a day now, and no more 4-5am feeds. Pooh to her. I'll feed Jenna whenever she wants it. The MCHN said congrats for being pg, and didn't make a single comment about still breastfeeding. I was shocked!
Jenna had BBQ lamb last night and peas and cucumber and rockmelon. Very happy baby. :D
Boiye!

Hi all,
Fi: Yeh I did walk home, Eliza fell asleep which was good as it was an excuse not to go to dinner with the IL's, it didn't stop them from calling in on the way home ](*,).I'm suprised at her weight, Eliza is just over that but you know different bodies.
Sarah: Tsh Tsh on the cat, we have been lucky so far. Our cat is old and doesn't seem to mind. Yeh for the teeth hope they have been a smooth addition.
Tanya:Yeh jumping castles, oohh I can't wait till I have to go on to get Eliza off..lol. As for the teeth hope Violets pop up without too much discomfort.
Zola:Congrats on the news
Dee:Hope the Ball game didn't end up ww3. Hope Matty is well. Good luck for tomorrow.
Ok we have another tooth..top one and the other should surface tomorrow. Other than that not much can't wait till tonight..we are going to do Eliza's photos for our chrissy cards, she has already sucked the antlers and pom pom. Oh well it is christmas after all
Hope everyone else is well.
Bec

At swimming we discovered it's actually 8 teeth  4 top & 4 bottom!
Sounds good about Eliza's photos. I took Zander's a few weeks ago (it's on his website) and it turned out great :D
Zander's santa photo had no teethies in it Fi, he wasn't looking at the camera when I took the photo. Buuut it is a gorgeous photo. It's really weird Zander can chase Bear (the cat) around all day long & she'll just run & hide, but for some reason the last two days when he hasn't even been doing anything she swiped at him. She's old too - just turned 12 last month. Poor Jenna with a fat lip :( Hmmm at only 3 feeds a day, Zander has 4 a day still too.
Good luck with Santa on the weekend Deb, hope it goes well.
LOL at Em with the jumping castle Tanya!
