Hi All,
well I have gastro - nice dose of it too. Jenna has been spewing, and a few nice nappies. Shane is still sick but on the mend.
I've been feeling that BLURGH so I called our GP who thankfully was there, and she has suggested I go into hossy and get a couple of bags put into me. What we think has happened is with the gastro my blood sugar has dropped too low, so now the m/s is killing me with no mercy. I have been for one wee all day - everything else is coming out the other hole (sorry if TMI) add breastfeeding into that, and I'm just not getting enough fluids into me.
So once Shane gets back with Jenna (he was supposed to be getting some lemonade icypoles and has been gone an hour :fuming: :fuming: :fuming: ) we shall go. So no doubt the rest of the day will be spent waiting. Joy. He has gone to do a errand for his friend, I'm dead sure of it. This woman is completely useless, and Shane does everything for her, whenever she calls. Its just putting up a goal post for her daughter, and he insists on putting this in front of my health. Its like he can't take me seriously when I'm sick. BTW - this is very similar to how angry I was when he "disappeared" for about 40mins while I was having contractions every 2 mins in the bathtub by myself. Other peoples priorities aremore important.
So hopefully by typing all that here, I wont go ballistic at him when he gets home. And he didn't take his phone.
Sorry no personals. feel way too crap..... :(

Awww, Fi! Sorry to hear you are having such a rotten time and grrrr @ Shane for taking so long! Hope your vent helped you a little (though if you did end up going nuts, it's completely understandable). Hope you don't have to wait too long at the hospital either and they get those fluids into you quick smart!

6 Sleeps to go ....I am now a fully appointed Santa Helper to a child \:D/
Although I have had many years of a animal santa helper...poor Mr Socks hope he is looking down from pussy cat heaven wishing he was here
Well Hello All,
Today was busy morning tea was cancelled due to an outbreak of conguntivitis, so Miss Eliza had a long sleep. We called over to my mums and she went off to hospital. Eliza and I had lunch at mums..lol there was food in there cupboards. And then waited at the hospital till mums op was finished. They took a few suspect things out just waiting for the pathology.
So all in all she is ok, bit sore but ok.
Eliza was so cute tonight. Nick was giving me a cuddle and she came up and opened her mouth on his cheek...so cute. I think I might have a lush on my hands :cryinglaugh:
I'm actually getting alittle excited about this christmas thing now, finding it really difficult not to bring out the pressies yet!
Fi: You poor bugga just read up about your trip to hospital, a good IV line goes a long way, you should of rang me you gallout I would of taken you in.
Deb: Hows Miss Gag going, pretty ****y about the lollypop.
Hope everyone else is good :smt023

Still feeling crap this morning. My milk is drying up, and I'm really worried. I'm trying to guzzle the water down - I've dropped 3kg in the last 2 days! And that was this morning after the 2L of saline went in yesterday.
I'm really concerned about my milk. I have about 4-5 feeds in the freezer left, and if they run out, I guess I'll have to buy a couple of sachels of formula.
I'm trying to feed Jenna, and then give her about 100ml as well. I guess I'll have to feed her as much as I can today, as well as drinking lots of water.
Hope your mum is all ok Bec, its a quick ride to the hossy, and I wouldn't have wanted to spread the love, I mean germs.

Awww Bec... the new photos are great! Gosh Miss Eliza is so.... pretty! She's just beautiful... she'll be a stunner (not that she isn't already). LOL @ her being a lush! Glad to hear your Mum is ok after her surgery.
Fi - oh dear @ your milk supply dropping. It's probably just a little low because of being sick. Keep plugging away at it - it'll be back soon. You're doing all the right things to get it happening again. Maybe have a day where all you do is feed Jenna all day to boost it up a bit (that's if she'll oblige). :hugs: Hope you feel better soon!
I think Gabby is getting used to her top teeth coming through. We didn't need panadol last night - just a bit of bonjela at 2am. I think she is working towards only having 1 sleep during the day. This morning, she woke at 9am and didn't go back to bed until 1pm. By the time she gets up, it will be too late to let her have an arvo nap.... I guess I'll see! So hard to figure these babies out sometimes!

You have been out as long as you had been in!!!

LOL Bec... I hadn't thought of it that way!
Thanks for the congrats :)
We had our MG xmas party yesterday. Just a BBQ with partners invited. Our babies decided to be little buggas. One was on an "angry" riot, screaming the place down. One decided to projectile vomit all over the host's Christmas presents under the tree (and consequently all over himself and his Dad) and Gabby thought she would pull a small table onto herself and end up with a nice bruise on the bridge of her nose and her forehead. Other than that, it was a great evening, LOL.
Gabby slept her first night unwrapped last night. One of the girls at MG suggested I try her in a sleeping bag at night but still wrap her during the day. It worked for her little boy because he seemed more tired for the night time sleep so it was easier for him to get used to. Eventually, he got used to the idea that the sleeping bag is for sleep and he now sleeps unwrapped during the day.
She did ok. I had to get up a few times but just to pop the dummy back in. She was awake at 6am (normally 8-9am) so she didn't last long before going back down to sleep. I figure it will take a little getting used to. I've also tried to start offering her food before bottle after she wakes up - so there's quite a bit of change happening atm. I have to also try and drop a bottle (she's still on 4 - tho one is watered down) but I might wait a couple of weeks before doing that.
Hope everyone else is doing well!
3 more sleeps!!!

Hi Everyone
Just wanted to pop in and wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A BRILLIANT NEW YEAR!!!!
Deb - Congrats on Gab crawling, how brilliant in time for her 1st Xmas.
Bec - Eliza is adorable, the pics are great!
Fi - I hope that you are feeling better!
Sarah - Hope that Zander is doing well.
Zola - Have a great Xmas, just think this time next year you will have 2 kids to spoil.
Dee - Hope that you and Matty are doing well.
I cant remember anymore, LOL!
Hayley is doing okay, sleeping heaps. Her first tooth has finally popped totally through, found out when she bit my finger and made it bleed, LOL! She is doing pretty well though, is just starting to decide to start crawling but thankfully hasnt taken off as yet.
Shannen graduated primary school Monday night, beautiful and had her last day on Wednesday, very sad! Tayla did so well with her report that I think I am still in shock!
My Dad is still going and we are planning on the best Xmas ever for him, hopefully he will go another few years though. Sad news is that I have just found out my uncle has 6-12 months to live, so dad is popping up to see him over the holidays, more than likely 3 months is closer for him. Very sad for all of us! He is the closest person on my Mums side to us, and I want to see him but he looks so much like my mother that it upsets me too much!
Hayley seems to be losing weight atm, so I am a little worried. I am having trouble getting fluids into her, apart from formula, she is fine with that, just wont take water, juice, cordial or anything. A bit of a worry with the heat atm. I am trying to feed her up more but she wont have more than 2 solids a day and is only having 3 bottles too.
I hope that you all have a great time with your babies first Xmas, enjoy it heaps....they grow up too quick!!

Dinky - I was going to suggest that perhaps you add some extra water to Hayley's formula?? My MCHN suggested it when I told her that Gabby isn't terribly fussed on water. She said just to add another 20-40mls of water to the bottle so that I at least know she is getting plenty of fluids. Hope Hayley starts to put weight on soon! All the best for Christmas tomorrow - hope your Dad has a great time. Sorry to hear about your uncle.
Tanya - hope that Chamba turns up in time for Christmas. Cheeky kitty!
Okies... hope everyone has a magnificent day tomorrow. How exciting for baby's first Christmas! I wanna see loads of photos on web sites!!
