oh, I wish I was crawling in to bed - sooooooo tired! Ari is cutting her third bottom tooth at the moment and is just plain horrible! Oh I should say that, she is pretty good when awake but is being a PITA when it comes to sleeping. We went to the "turing on the lights" thing in the city today and the kids had a ball! Had fireworks and Ari was gooing and gaaing over them - I really thought she would cry considering a sneeze makes her cry these days. We are taking the family out for some snorkling on the great barrier reef on Sunday, Xanders second turn and Ari's first - so looking forward to it.
Oh also found the best baby food for meals on the go. It is RAphels or something but it comes in a pouch (kind of like the yogurts with shrek on them) anyway they are fab as the lids screw on and you can just give it to them and they can suck the food out (or you can put it on a spoon) but I find letting Ari suck it out is much cleaner when we are on the run.
Hey Bec - just doing your order up now and have emailed you! Hope the mving prep is going well. I was thinking of you when I heard where that baby was taken from!
Shell - those photos are gorgeous! Thinking of you with Emily's sleeping problem, it will pass I promise. DS used to go through phases like that esp before he did something like crawl/walk etc
Rachel - how cute that Grace loves to clap! Ari claps when DS sings in the car - it is so cute bt she also claps when she is cryng???? Hope you enjoy your night out! Sounds wonderful
Not sure who said that their bub only says mum when they are upset but Ari does the same thing! babbles, dada, Xander and bub bub all day long and then cries and we get mimi
-
Hi everyone! It's been a while since I have popped in, sorry about that. It is great to hear all the beautiful bubs are going so well.
Well, what's new here...Nic is crawling like a madman! He is very quick now, and chases the dog all over the house. He worked out (in 2 days) how to get up the step in our lounge room, but he can't get down it yet without falling on his face. He says Dada, nana, but no mama yet (I keep trying!!). He is loving his food, and eats just about anything. He is sleeping ok, had a few up and down nights last week, but I think he is getting more teeth. He has his 2 bottom ones, but I think more are coming. We start renovations on our house next week, so looking forward to that. Also, have been obsessed with my garden at the moment. I have put a few pics up (in the BB gallery) of the fairie garden we have started, but lots more has been done in there now, so will have to put up more pics this week. I have also done up our front garden, and it looks lovely.
That's about it really, studying for my exam in a week (had to defer as we were away), nearly school holidays, and getting ready for christmas. Hope you all have a great week!!
-
ooh Sarah, I've seen that baby food in the supermarket and wondered if it was any good :)
Rachel, wow Grace sure does love her food! Thanks for your ideas.
Shell, how is Emily going today? is she better now?
Jo, Clever Nic climbing the stairs! The fairie garden is looking good so far. Is that thing a trampoline, with the black net thing around?
We have almost done all our Xmas shopping! I have just bought a couple of little things from the mothers direct website too - they have a 20% off sale today :)
Tookk Claire swimming again yesterday but as soon as I got to the pool it started pouring and there was thunder and lightening. Its an indoor pool so we still went swimming, but then I had to hang around afterwards and wait for the rain to stop so I could walk home!
Can wait till DH is on holidays from work. We cn go do family stuff together instead of it alwys being just me and Claire... just 2.5 weeks to go!
-
Karina - yep, that's a trampoline! I put Nic in there sometimes so he can bounce around while I water the garden! It zips up like a tent, so he can't get out. Well done for getting all your chrissy shopping done early. I can't remember who I haven't bought for, so will have to check my lists!

Hey Girls! Haven't been in for a while - Jason got a new laptop, and has been hogging it and the normal puta, so I haven't had a chance to get in here.
Sounds like everyone's doing well!
Emy is crawling all over the place, and is quite fast at it too! I'm a bit iffy about putting up our Christmas tree this year - don't know how we will be able to keep Emy away from it... She loves to clap and blow raspberries, but that evil husband of mine has taught her to blow raspberries when she is drinking water. I can only get her to drink straight from a cup (she won't drink any from a bottle or from a sippy cup), so it is already a messy process, and now that Jason has taught her how to blow reapberries with it, it is just that much messier. I am so very unimpressed with him.
She is such a smarty pants - she is pulling herself up on the furniture, and this morning has also taught herself to sit back down again. She isn't speaking yet - but the other day I was singing Christmas carols, and it was almost like she was trying to sing along with me. It was very cute!
I'm not breast feeding her anymore... which makes me a little sad - I kind of miss it. I was only doing the morning feed for a while, and we had always fed just from one side for each feed, but she started to want both sides, and was being quite fussy, and cranky when she came off, which she did about 100 times each feed, so she is just getting formula now. And she LOVES her food. I made little tuna and vegie patties the other day, and she loved them. And I gave them to her with a white sauce, and she loved it too! YAY! But the best thing that we have discovered it mashed pumpkin, mashed potato (or sweet potato, or mashed carrot) and mashed apple, all mixed in together. It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO yum. I was telling my Oma about it, and she was saying that she willl have to try it herself.
What are you all giving your babies for Christmas? Emy is getting a Fisher-Price ball popper, a thing from V-Tech that is to help her to walk (she is supposed to hold on and push it in front of her), and Big W was selling a toy box for $100 that was filled up with heaps of other toys from Fisher-Price. So only the three to unwrap, but then lots of things to play with in the end!
Anyway, that is all from me for now.
Hugs to all!

Hi girls, its been a long while since I have had a chance to log on here. Everyones little ones seem to be all going really well.
I just have a question though, is anyone elses kids teething, and they wake up in the middle of the night hysterical? Sam was like that last night, about 2 hours after he went down. He wouldnt go to sleep either, so for the first time in about 4 months, I had to rock him to sleep. Also, his nappy used to be soaked of a morning when he woke up but the last 2 mornings it is almost dry. After he has his brekky I check him again, and he has done a wee. It seems like he is holding on thru the night and then wees when he wakes up? Is anyone elses bubs doing that or is it just mine? LOL
Also, I'm sure part of the restlessness he is going thru is because his daddy is working away in QLD for 3 weeks (he has been gone 5 days now) and Sam looks around for him, but he only started doing it the last 2 nights.
Sorry for all the questions and whinging, I'm just not sure whats going on......
-
Jen, Claire has woken up hysterical at night a few times. But I dont think it was when she was teething though. She wees overnight - her nappy is usually pretty full and I dont change her nappy overnight as it wakes her up too much and then she thinks it is play time. Youre right about him possibly being restless because his daddy isnt there. Claire is the same when DH is away. I'm not sure, sorry.
Ali, I havent put up a Christmas tree because I think Claire will eat it. I have had to put all the presents up on top of a shelf because she loves crunching paper, lol. I think I saw the Fisher Price thing youre talking about at Big W, but it was a few months ago that I saw it. DH got Claire a Hi 5 video. She loves bopping to the music! We havent got her anything else yet, but will hopefully get around to it soon. There is a really cool toy store near us with lots of learning type toys which look like fun so I'll probably go there and empty my wallet onto the counter PMSL! How cute that she was trying to sing with you! Claire gives me a funny look when I sing. Probably because I sound awful!
I went to Mothers Group for the first time in ages yesterday. It was really nice to see the other mums. All the babies are growing up so beautifully. Claire is still so petite compared to the other babies though, and the most bald! I also took Claire to the ECHN yesterday. She is now 7kg, 69cm long and her head is 43cm. She wouldnt stay still the whole time but she did enjoy playing with the blocks at the clinic. someone elses toys are always better than your own toys! The nurse wants to refer us to another clinic to see a paediatrician about a few things with Claires skin, so she booked us in for that in January. DH told me not to bother going because I have the exact same skin thing (which I pointed out to the nurse and I have always been told it is not a problem) but the nurse still tells me to go.

Hi All,
The chatting seems to have slowed down in here???!!
JenP - Emily has been waking with near dry nappies too! I had been pumping water into her all day as i though she wasnt getting enough! I THINK its a teeth thing. Emily was also waking and crying start of last onth then i noticed she had a bump on her gums and now the tooth is up - so yep, i think its teething.
Emily has been sleeping through the night for the last three nighhts!! Although i did give her some panadol those nights to see if it would help her, it did, because it was worrying me that she has headache's or was in pain from the tooth - mus have been. But tonight shes in bed without any - hope she goes well, poor little peanut.
Karina - It wont hurt to go to the appointment, mabey a diff opinion may help? couldnt hurt.
Sara hasnt been here for a few days???
-
Hello - whew what a week! Glad to hear all the March bubba are doing so well. We had a great time with the kids out on the reef but can you believe I didn't get any pics! we were all so excited to get in the water no-one thought to take pics :-) Ari loved being out in the water with all the fish swimming around her and Xander had so much fun goggling :-) (he didn't want to snorkle so he just goggled)
Ari is doing really well, sleeping better (touch wood) although not an all nighter but I really don't mind as long as she is settled.
Christmas tree - we put ours on our coffee table, it works really well but because DS birthday is the 23rd we don't put the tree up until christmas eve anyway. Ari is getting a cookie jar shape sorter, and a dinosaur ball thingy that I got on special. I want to get her a little walk/push thing as well but have to go shopping with DH.
Jen - yes Ari wakes up hysterical (well she was for a long time) We had a lot of success with seeing a childrens chiro, apparently once they start crawling and cruising and bumping into things they can get their neck out of alignment. She no longer wakes screaming blue murder which is exellet.
Gotta run, so busy at the moment but I will pop in ater and post properly
-
Sarah - how on earth can you be so busy at 10:30 on a Friday night? Take a chill pill, and relax! I have conveniently chosen to completely ignore the huge pile of ironing that i need to do, and my half naked christmas tree, that i need to finish decorating!
-
Hi everyone!
I'm supposed to be doing the washing up  but just ducking on here quick to chat hee hee - S took ages to get to sleep tonight, so I feel I need a bit of quiet time now. Normally I'd be in bed by now, yes even on a Friday! But he didn't go to sleep until after 8 and if I went to bed at normal time (around 9:30) I feel like I didn't get any time to myself, kwim? Anyway, he's asleep now, and if I don't get the washing up done it's not the end of the world! We are really thinking about getting a dishwasher though... not very environmentally friendly, I know, but I just feel like I spend half my life doing the dishes and at this stage of life I think I need to spend the time with S. That's my excuse anyway and I'm sticking with it!
M got a Tickle Me Elmo which was half price the other week, more for himself than for the baby, I think! We also got him a play mobile phone as he loves phones so much. The Elmo is under the bed to be wrapped up for Christmas, but we gave him the phone to play with already. We just want to get one more thing for him, some Duplo, which we'll probably buy this weekend. That's it for Christmas presents from us this year. Mum and Dad got him SO many, and I know he'll be getting blocks from my sister. So even though he won't know what's going on, he'll be spoilt! :-)
We haven't even thought about the tree yet! But we're not going to bother with it until we move - which is next weekend, eek! We may be without internet for a few days, but I'm sure I'll be back on before Christmas! I'm kind of bummed because we're going from cable connection to broadband and have to pay the same price. The speed is nowhere near the same!! Anyway, can't be helped.
Well, that's about all the news here. hope you're all doing well, hopefully the sleep problems will sort themselves out for everyone soon!
-
Jen *touch wood* we haven't had Oskar do this... I'm hoping he won't! He's been quite out of sorts today and I think he might be getting tooth number two.
Ali, Oskar is getting the Learning House thing from Santa and we got him a few little things.. a grannimal (one for him and one for my godson who is 3 wks younger)... ummm a pool floating thing with a canopy on it and some blocks.
Our tree is up (1st Dec...hehe). We put it at the bottom of the stairs so it's not a temptation for Oskar but we still get to enjoy it and we come down sometimes and turn the lights on and sit and watch it for a while.
Oskar has had a throat infection, poor love. He had a temp on Monday so I called my doc around 5pm and he said just bring him in Tues morn whenever he woke up and he'd fit him in. He said his throat was quite red. By Wed morn he was a lot better and no more temp which is great. He's on antibiotics. Now I think he's getting his 2nd tooth... boy has he been a grizzlebum today!! Speaking of... right on cue..lol. Anyway, must be off and get him to bed.
-
HI Cass - so good to hear from you! Hope Oskar is feeling better soon
Ali - haha :-) with a baby that refuses to sleep during the day and a 4 1/2 yr old night time is the ONLY time I have to get anything done :-)
Sasha - hi good to hear from you too, hope the moving stuff is going well, I'm so jealous!
Ari is such a joy and a marvel, I just love watching her grow and develop! After having my DS who has developmental delays it is just magic watching her learn how to do all this stuff herself. Today she was trying to copy DS build with lego - she was trying soooo hard to get those pieces together like he was doing! just gorgeous
-
Sara - where do you get your energy??? Thats very cue and VERY clever that Ari's trying to copy Xander! Does he like to play with her?
Ozziehoffy - Oskar's pic looks so cute in your ticker!!
Forgot to say - our christmas tree is up and looks fab if i do say so myself (i did it!) Proberly lucky for me Em isnt crawling yet.
For christmas Em's getting a princess mirror, table and chairs (both for her room) some books (she loves books) and i already gave her a shape thing - my mum goes way over the top for the kids at xmas time so a few opened now wont overwelm (sp) her on the day!
-
HAPPY 9 MONTH BIRTHDAY ARI!! She is so gorgeous. How adorable trying to copy Xander.... hehe... they're so funny now huh. Oskar leans forward and looks for me if I hide around the corner from him.
Shell, thanks :) I took it the morning we went for Santa photo in case it didn't turn out or he didn't like Santa.. but it was a good photo so now I have both... :D
Looks like tooth number two is definitely on the way, I can just see the white of it next to his first one. He's been a lot better today, so musn't be bugging him which is good cos yesterday he was a very big handful to deal with.
-
Cass, wow two teeth! Claires got her two teeeth but no sign of any more coming soon.
Sarah yay that swimming on the reef went so well!
Bec, woohoo on the new toys for S! I think my mum is going to spoil Claire absolutely rotten for Christmas. She just cant help herself (first grandchild!)
ok well I have decided I am going to go to the paed I was refered to. Better to be safe than sorry. I honestly dont think its a big deal, but I dont have a background in Health so I'll go just so I can hear them say its ok. iykwim?
I am really struggling to get Claire to eat at the moment. There is only one thing she will eat - apple custard - but she cant just eat that all day. I've tried heaps of other foods but she just wont take it and even if I mix a small amount of something else into the apple custard she wont take it. I dont know whats going on with her. Even things she used to gobble down, she wont touch it now??!!
We went to see DH's fmaily yesterday for Claires cousin Sarahs 2nd Bday. Claire had fun on the trampoline and playing with Sarahs toys, though she didnt so much play with them, she more slobbered all over them. She got lots and lots of cuddles and she was soo tired by the time we left! I can never get her to sleep at someone elses house, especially if there are lots of people there. She just wants to be part of the party. She actually slept in the car on the way home though but only about 45 mins. It turned into a much longer car trip though because we saw a pedestrian accident and we stopped and DH helped for almost an hour. Who jaywalks across a 6 lane highway in Sydney??!! The pedestrian was ok - the police told DH just a massive graze on her head, lots of bruising and a concussion but it was amazing the number of people who stopped and helped, and it was amazing how fast the ambulance arrived (only about 5 minutes)- Rachel, you ambulance paramedics are so quick!
My mothers group are having a Christmas party on Thursday. It should be nice! Hope it will be a good day so we can get the paddle pool out and the babies can play in it.
-
Thanks heaps Karina, Shell, Saram & Ozziehoffy for your replies. It makes me feel a bit better than my Sam isnt the only one out there going thru this!
Just an update though, since the few last rough nights he has been heaps better, sleeping thru like he used to....
Also, Sam crawled last night!! I was so excited, I think he was too, he has been trying for SOOOO long, although he gets up on all fours and then pushes off with his feet and shuffles forward. Anyway its good enough for me, so I'm telling everyone he's crawling LOL, and of course Joe isnt here to see it! I knew he'd crawl once Joe went away!!
-
Just a quick post - woohoo ari took 1 step today. She was standing up by herself then decided she wanted to go to daddy and just stepped.... then fell over we all did big cheers! she also started blowing kisses - so cute. have to run, trying to get the house tidy and the toy room finshed ASAP
-
Hey everyone - Sorry for my MIA -
Just a quick update - Have to get back to bed or go Throw up which ever comes first. . .
start with me - I've been quite sick Ended up in ED wednesday night in extreme pain (the pain was worst then my labour pains!) And severe vomiting. They managed to stop the vomiting and reduce the pain, they did blood test (not pregnant - everyone else thought this so thought i would mention it first) there was no sign of infection so they think it might of been just a bad bout of Food poisening. . . I asked the doctor to be sent home after 6 hours, he wasn't going to do anymore anyways and i wanted to go home before Izzy woke up. So doc let me go as long as i rested and went and saw my doctor. Went back to my doctor 2 days later still in pain but not much vomiting, he put it down to Gastro. But said if the pain got any worst or was still there in a couple of days to come back because it could be Gall stones, and he would have to run more test. . . Well i am still in quite a bit of pain in my stomach, still can't eat a main meal only light things that won't upset the stomach and to top it off which is properly way TMI i haven't had a bowel motion in 6 days, So have to go back to the doctor on monday. . . Not fun. . .
On a better note - I finished all my Christmas Shopping and done the wrapping and sent out all my chrissy cards. . . Very prepared this year. . .
I have Santa Photo's in Photobucket. feel free to look. . .
On to Izzy shes now 9months! is doing the Comando Crawl and sometimes the real crawl! Very Cute. We've had to put the beanbag in front of the christmas tree because she kept on crawling over there trying to get the christmas balls off. . . She learning so many new words and different things everyday its hard to keep up. . .
sorry to end the post so short gotta go.
-
Sarah , wow on Ari taking steps! Clever girl!
Cass, gosh I hope you feel better really soon. Hope it isnt gall stones. HAs your DP had time off work to help you out?
OMG Claire has been acting so strange today. Its 11:50 pm and I only just got her to go to sleep about 10 minutes ago. Not sure what happened - she had food arounf 5:30, a bath with me at around 6, then some play and booby. She slept for about half an hour then woke up and just wanted to play. I couldnt even take her into her room or she would scream like I was killing her or something and she wouldnt have booby. The only thing I could do was let her play in the lounge room until she wore herself out. I hate letting her scream and when I put her in the cot she sounded so distressed. As soon as she strarted rubbing her eyes I took her into her room and boobied her and she fell asleep straight away. She ate HEAPS today; well heaps for her as she usually only has a couple of mouthfulls of food, so maybe something she ate today sent her a bit loopy?
Anyways. We got a spot in Family Day Care starting in January. The lady is only a few streets away from us. I am going to ring the thing on monday because I want to go meet the lady before I make a decision. I am thinking of going back to work 2 or 3 days a week. I neeed some cash! Realistically, I will probably only go back for 6 months at most. I am feeling a bit nervous about it though and I dont know if I *really* want to, iykwim? I dont know. Its such a hard decision to make. Claire is chnging and learning so much now and I wnt to be there for her, but at the same time I want to go back to work so I can earn money so that I can afford to take her out to things more often? :(
-
Hi all,
Cass - hope your feeling better, that sounds horrible!
Karina - woohoo on the daycare! Def go and meet the lady before making a decision cause you need to feel comfortabel with them and be on the same level. I know what you mean about being nerevous going back to work, I was really apprehensive until i got into my classroom last week and it all started coming back to me. I am still worried about how she will go with seperation anxiety but I am going in after new year and will stay with her for the first week to get her used to it. Also we have asked our daycare NOT to tell us if she says or does anything new that way it will feel like her 'first step' 'first real words' etc happened just to us anyway
I am now offical the proud mum to a 2 nap a day sleeps most of the night little girl and it is just blissful! Hope everyone else is doing really well? Cass, Rachel, Shell, Nell, Jen, Jo, Caro, Bec... who have I missed
-
Oh Caro - sorry to hear your leaving! But I think I understand why, I was only just thinking the other day how hard it is going to be esp when all the other march ladies start ttc again :-( I'm going to be so jelous :-) Anyway I hope you do have that great year next year and keep in touch!
While we are on the topic I guess we are all going to start going our own ways soon as we go back to work so here is our emial address bsxamcdonald@gmail.com I think some of you still have our rawnet addy that went bottom up 1 week before Ariya was due. I would love to keep in touch via email as I do find it hard to get on here often. Also you can always find me at our nappy bucket address
-
Hey - Karina - yes Dp took Thursday off work, then i rang him on friday to say i was in pain and he run all the way home (it took him an hour) I didn't expect him to come home, i actually told him to stay at work but he wouldn't listen - and im thankful he did come home becuase i was so exhausted and felt horrible. he's been wonderful. I'm feeling better thanks. . .
Caro - So sad to hear that you are leaving - I've enjoyed many many of your post and always admired you for the way you posted, from the heart, blunt, and always truthful to your self (hope that made sense)- You will be missed. I wish you and your family all the happiness and health the world can provide. . . *Muah*
-
Oh i miss Breastfeeding sooo much - I was like you Caro doing everymorning untill last week - now she just don't want it. the other day when she was really upset i put her on and it settled her . but other then that. she dont want it :( So sad!
-
[COLOR="Indigo"]Hi Girls,
Caro, good luck with everything its been fun reading your posts and seeing how your little one is growing!
Just an update on Sam, he stood up on his own on Saturday! He pulled himself up on the lounge...he thought he was so clever! The only thing is, he doesnt want you to hold onto him, he wants to do it himself, but he hasn't quite got the balance yet to stand alone lol
We have had lots of falls but he's pretty good, esp if you don't make a big deal out of it, he doesnt get that upset.
He also says 4 words....mum, bub, dada & ra. We think ra means grandma, cause we are living with Joe's parents at the moment while Joe is away working (we are saving for our own house!Yay!)
Well thats about it on the home front, can't wait to see how Sam goes and whether he will eat the wrapping paper or whether he will want the toys!
Incase I'm not on here before christmas, Merry Christmas everybody and I hope you all have a great day with your bub's 1st Christmas.
Take care
Jen xxx

Hi everyone hope you are all well.
Erin is doing really well, she is such a good baby and she loves her food.
She has 6 teeth, two on the bottom and four on top, she looks very funny when she smiles.
She is crawling around and pulling herself up and standing holding on to things.
Erin is waving and clapping, she says dada, mum, bub and nana and just constantly babbles and she has just started squealing. If she wants to play with one of the boys she squeals at them until she gets their attention, it is very funny.
I have had fun buying girlie christmas presents for Erin.
I just wanted to pop in and tell you about Erin and to wish you all a very merry christmas and a happy and safe new year.
Merry christmas and all the best to everyone and their families.
Love
Michelle
-
Oh Caro ?? Has she already gone? I cant see her posts. :(
Jen wow that Sam stood up on his own. Claire can stand up, but when she lets go she falls on her bum. Its very cute. She is so much more of a person now. Just like a mini human rather than a blob of baby.
Michelle, sounds like Erin is doing fabulously. Arent girly toys cute?!
Sarah, woohoo on the sleeping!! I am going to the FDC place on thursday. I am so nervous and I am scared of making the wrong decision :(
I've just bought one of those blow up pools for Claire. I am going to put it in the yard and fill it with water so she can splash around in it on hot days when I cant be bothered to walk up to the aquatic centre. Should be fun for her!
Ok well as I said the other day, we got Claire into FDC for 3 days a week. I called my work and asked them if they were ok with me working those three days and they said yes, but only for a maximum of three months. I dont relly want to work full time becuse I still want to be with Claire. I'm so torn!
Hope everyone is well.
-
Hi everyone! it's been a while, and I haven't been able to keep up with everyones posts, but sounds like everyone is doing ok.
We have been flat out with our backyard renovations. We now have a patio, french doors coming from our (what was our dining room, and now a family room) onto a timber deck. It should all be finished by the end of this week, just in time to have Christmas here!!
Nicholas is just beautiful! Crawling everywhere, and has started cruising around the furniture now as well. I keep telling him that he is a baby and that he shouldn't be doing that yet! I am not ready for that yet!! My baby is growing up so fast!
We finally put our tree up tonight as we have been waiting for all the internal work to be done in the house. I am really looking forward to Christmas, and have almost finished all my shopping.
Anyway, just a quick hi and Merry Christmas to all if I don't get on here againbefore hand.
Jo

Woah... so much going on!
Cass, hope you are better hun, I hate being sick.
Michelle.. so great to hear from you! Erin sounds like she is so adorable.
Jo, I love the sound of your reno's... I want a big deck out the back, but I also want to do a big garden out the front under the palms. Doesn't get a lot of sunlight, so awesome to do bromiliads and the likes. I can't wait to do it!
Oskar has the bottom 2 teeth. Says dada, muuuuuum (like that) if he's upset and wants me and bub bub. He gives me big cuddles and pats my back. I put my forehead on his, my hands on his cheeks and rub noses.. he tries to do it back to me by grabbing my ears and rubbing his whole head across mine!! Hurts a bit, but very cute...lol. I am sooo excited about Christmas and can't wait ... at least it's only 4 more sleeps hehe. He sits very very well and spins around on his bum... no rolling, crawling or anything like that. He "walks" when held under his arms and LOVES to do that. We think he may bypass crawling, or only crawl for a very short time. When he's sitting and wants something his little legs go like he's walking but obviously not getting anywhere. Best be off, little man is tired and Joshua is raiding the pantry for the 3rd time today...lol!!! BOYS!!

Hello All!
Sounds like everyone is doing very well!
Emy is learning soooo much! She has been cruising the furniture for a while, and has been pretty good at it, and has learnt how to sit back down again once she is up. Except the other day, when I ws at work, and Emy was at mum's house, and she was standing up holding onto the ottoman, and then fell down and got the hugest bruise around her eye and down her cheek - it looked sooooo bad! Poor thing...
She is an inquisitive little thing, and her nicknames from us are Fidget, and Destructor - she just gets in to absolutely everything, and really keeps us on our toes!
Anyway, hope you all have a merry first Christmas with your babies, and a happy new year!
Hugs and kisses to all!

Hello everyone, it's so nice to see so many post in here these days - unfortunately I don't much time to read at the moment but will try and pop in and post properly later on tonight. DS birthday on Sunday - the big 5 - woohoo for him, he is so excited. Ari is doing great. We went and did the Santa photo thing today and was not a happy camper, she is still very cautious of who she goes to so I had to squeeze in with Santa ( that's going to be a great photo - NOT! Not even sure if I brushed my hair this morning :-)
So good to hear from everyone and love those gorgeous new photos - BBL

Hi girls...just a quick hello as I am actually in Adelaide at my MILs place. Have a few minutes alone with the computer. Sorry I haven't been on but it is the silly season for good reason! We got over here (to adeladie) on Saturday (15th) and will be heading back home on the 27th. Grace travelled beautifully again which made the trip ok.
Grace is off and running with her crawling and is now starting to pull herself up onto things...she usually just gets to her knees and seems satisfied with that for now. She has got the wave down pat now..and waves at everyone. She often waves when we arrive and leave but surely she wouldn't really understand the meaning of it yet? I absolutely love this age...she is showing so much personality, she is a real little person, interactive and fun...we have spent a lot of the time down the beach so far. she loves crawling on the sand and we are slowly getting used to the water and waves...slowly but surely!
I am good, planning on enjoying the last month off before i got back to work part time. Looking forward to christmas. We had an early christmas dinner and present exchange with my family before we left...we were spoilled rotten! Grace was absolutely spoilt like you wouldn't believe. she is very lucky. That was nice.
Anyway, better go. Hope everyone has a fantastic first christmas with their little ones. Hopefully once the silly season is over and things settle down i will get a change to get on here and read properly and find out what is happening.

Hi ladies.
Hi Mel! Welcome to our thread.
We did Xmas with my family yesterday and Claire got some pretty cool pressies. She got some fun toys (including some that I think I might take the batteries out of at some point!! iykwim!!) , some cute clothes and a Hi 5 DVD which she watched today with DH. She just sat there staring at the TV with her eyes and mouth wide open. Sometimes I dance around to the music on the TV which she thinks is absolutely hilarious. We lost her sunhat a few days ago and luckily my brother gave her a new one for Christmas, so that was handy. And I bought her something on eBay for Xmas which arrived today - just in time! She was very keen on the wrapping paper too - aparently it is quite tasty. She had a good time playing with her cousins too (boys 6 and 4 y.o) and they were very good with her, especially the 4 y.o.
Tomorrow, we are off to see DH's family who live about 2 hours away. Hopefully she will sleep in the car. They're a loud bunch of people and I hope they dont overwhelm her. I think she will get spoilt again. A few of them have already told me wht she is getting. I already know she is getting two dolls and a set of duplo blocks. I dont know if we'll have room for all her new toys, lol!
Claire has just strated waving now. Its very cute. She also waves to herself in the mirror. But she is really painful in the bath now and she constantly wiggles and just wont sit still. She tried to stand up in the bath, but slipped over and got an egg on her head.
Rachel, I have to agree with you there. Claire is such a person now, and she is definately showng personality. Hope you enjoy the time in Adeliade. Did you drive to Adelaide or fly?
Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas (or a lovely whatever else you celebrate at this time of year, if some of dont celebrate Christmas).

Hey All! Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! We have finally managed to get the time to figure out how to put photos on the internet for others to see, and I have put the link in my signature.

Just wanting to say I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Cooper got so much I have no room for it all, we also got a Wii for all the kids to share and cooper will sit there for ages just laughing at the kids jumping around in front of the tv, they even created a little cooper Mii person for him when he can play. We have Codys birthday tomorrow and he will be 8 the time really does go fast and makes you realise treasure all these moments while they are little, they just grow to fast. Anyway must go have cakes to cook before tomorrow.

Just a quick one, Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you had a great time with your babies for their first Christmas - S loved his toys, Tickle Me Elmo is a big hit (he keeps waving at him :) ) but the batteries seem to be running down ... gee, how unfortunate :D
Hi Mel, welcome to the site, sounds like Cooper's siblings are already looking out for him!
Can't remember if I posted since we moved, we are still living out of boxes, and the day we moved in, Sebastian started crawling YAY... I think! He has been a bit unsettled since we moved, but that's mostly because of the heat and all the confusion, I think. Poor thing, his room is still full of boxes LOL but I don't think he really cares that much since when he's awake he's always in the loungeroom playing.
Well, so much for being quick, I'd better go - so much to do and I want to get to bed early!
Happy New year, everyone!
