Ok I am at my wits end for 2 days now ari has not slept unless someone is holding her - I think my arms have fallen out of their sockets, so is not a lightweight. Seriously as soon as her little head hits the pillow she screams and I don't mean whinge I mean scream. I have given her panadol - no effect, she has no temp, no swollen gums, no ear pulling. I am so exhausted I could cry. Poor DS has been so neglected today as mummy has been so tied up with DD ( great now I'm refering to myself in the third person) She has been down now for 30 min which is her longest sleep in 2 days so I'm expecting her up any second now.

Jomarie - love that screetching sound :-) I think caro said she was taking some time out in another thread.

Cass- oh don't you love all the kids stores in chermy though! Yes know what you mean about he snobby stores, the floor and everything is different in that part. DH wants to open a nappy store in chermy - got to love him.

Hi Jen - wow can sam come and teach ari how to sleep.

Sarah, I sympathise - I had the same with Claire today. She would fall asleep as soon as I picked her up but if I tried to put her down she would scream! I coldnt even go to the loo without her kicking up a stink about it. So there I ws sitting on the couch with her on my chest for like 2 hours! I hope Ari sleeps well for you tonight.

Hi jen. Sam sounds like such a great sleeper. I wish Claire would sleep like that sometimes! I'm in sydney!

Jo, how cute about Nic screetching. I agree its amazing how such small people can make such big noises! Woohoo about ordering groceries online. I bet that would make things a whole lot easier!

Cass hope your throat is feeling better.

Ooh I went out today and bought a new bf bra! Its lacy and pretty. That was my exciting day.
But silly me tonight, I cooked a pasta bake for dinner and dropped it as I ws taking it out of the oven. I am so unco! It made a huge noise as I dropped the dish on the glass bit of the oven door, but the huge noise didnt even wake Claire! But now I have a cut and bruise on my leg from where it hit me. DH thought I had blown something up!

We've been co-sleeping with Claire te last few nights and she is sleping for longer, but still waking up overnight. I think she just likes the company and comfort of having us right there with her.

Hi girls, thankyou for the warm welcome!
I'm not sure why Sam sleeps so well, all I have done for the past few months is tried to set him into a sort of routine. If he's not awake by 7.30-8am I wake him up. I change his bum, give him a bottle and I lay him on the floor with his toys for about an hour while I have breakfast. Then I give him 1/2 a weetbix mixed with formula (he loves it), then he usually goes off and has a nap, then 4 hours after his first bottle he has his second one (usually around 12ish) about 30 mins after the bottle he has some fruit, usually a mashed banana or a jar of apples or pears. Then he has another little nap until around 2 then wakes up and we have a play and he rolls around on the floor again. Then at 4pm he has another bottle, at 5-5.30pm I give him his vegies (usually just potato, pumpkin, brocoli, cauliflour and carrot) mixed with a bit of formula and then after that he sleeps until after 7pm which is great cause I get to eat dinner without it being stone cold lol, then at around 8.30pm he has his last bottle, he stays up for 15-20 mins with daddy and then I give him a little rock in his room with his music playing (its this little star that attaches to the side of his cot that plays lullabyes and projects little images on the ceiling) then once the eyes get heavy I pop him into his cot and then he sleeps right thru to the next morning.
Since I have put him on this routine he has slept even better, he doesnt call out during the night at all anymore.
As for my job Ozzie, yeah I work at a Farm Machinery dealership, we sell tractors and machinery and repair them etc and I work in the spare parts section, I kinda keep the stock under control for all our branches (we have 4 including the one I work at, its kinda the head office). I also do a little bit of graphic design (self taught) so I put the ad's together for The Land newspaper and things like that. Its not too bad a job, I was lucky thru my pregnancy as I worked up until 2 weeks before I had him and I went back to work when Sam was 2-1/2 months old because he slept so well so did I. But if I had my way I wouldn't be back at work but living on one wage is a bit hard so this just makes our life that little bit easier so we can afford to buy Sam all the things we want to.
Well I'd better start doing something, i'm at work at the moment.....LOL

Also, I should ad that Sam is in size 0 clothing, he is 71cm long (my god he is a long baby lol) and he is 8.5kg.....so he needs all his food to keep him from being hungry! And don't get me wrong, I don't feed him massive meals or anything, just small servings!

Cass – Sarah – Jomarie: Hehe, it was wonderful, the energy comes from DP tho, who can resist a man with brut on! Yummy! Lol! Not worrying about the ‘possibility’, if it happens, it happens, if not practice never hurt  hehe… Although I’d like it to happen a little later down the track… But I think I got AF, haha I don’t even realize when I have it these days its soooooooooo damn light, I’m talking a couple of smudges that’s it…

Cass – Does you live near chermside? – that’s right near my nana’s house (Stafford) I must say I have only ever been toombal shopping once, totally got the too snobby for me feeling lol!

Jen – Welcome  Sam sounds like the perfect lil sleeper! Izzy has been on solids since 4 months too, I found she settled soo much easier! Did you know that it is recommended babies don’t have weetbix? Sounds like you have a good routine there 

Jomarie – I hope Nic settled for you a little more today…

Sarah – how is Ari doing? Hope she is settling for you better, and you got some sleep… Izzy has had moments like that lately, where she would only go to sleep if she has hold of my hand, the minute I let go she is screaming!

Karina – Wahoo on the bra, Is anyone else finding the bf bra’s so more comfy then the normal ones? Ohhh noo about your dinner, I would have sat there an cried! Co-sleeping is good, much easier tho when Dp goes to work in the morning lol, more room 

Well izzy’s two bottom teeth have been givin her quite a bit of grief the past couple of days, I’ve had quite a few screaming matches, my poor lil girl, hate seeing her in pain! But she does look awfully cute with them hehe!

Izzy is now in the cot full time, bassinet gone ready for Chris (friends baby) to use now… I must say, I have had more of a problem with izzy going to the cot then what she has! She starts her Aqua movements class this Friday, so looking forward to that…

Ok, Allsaints is on! i'm missing it, better go, ciao~!

Well little Ari is asleep on my lap, still no sleep today. We are looking into an amby hammock to see if that helps but its a lot of money if its not going to work. Desperately looking for my copy of the no cry sleep solution.

I bought Ari some size 0 clothes and I am soooo peeed as they are still tight around her little belly and upper arms - she is such a fatty :-) Luckily my SIL has just started up a biz selling childrens clothes so woohoo! Let me know if you would like the web addy as they are having a sale at the moment.

Jen - Wow, Sam is a star isn't he? My DD was like that, she just ate, slept and played. Mind you, I may be in denial as it was a long time ago now, so I may just be remembering the good days!

Cass - Do you still have Izzy in your room in her cot? I must say, I didn't miss Nic going into his cot in his own room, he is such a noisy sleeper!

Sarah - I hope Ari has a better day tomorrow. Nic has been like that the last 3 days too, except that he won't sleep in my arms either! Little bugger. I think he has a tooth coming through though so that would explain his grumpiness.

I am going to try him on rice cereal tomorrow too as he has gone right off his bottles for some reason (maybe his teeth??), and he is waking through the night as he is hungry. I started Jas at 5 months, but she took ages to get the hang of it!

Jen, wow Sam sleeps so much more thn Claire!! She just lies or sits down and laughs for half the day. I hve no ide what is so funny though! and she only has two small naps during the day.

Cass, yes my BF bras are so much more comfy than my other ones, but I always used to wear underwire so thats probably why! Co-sleeping is great cos I dont hve to walk around the house to go to Claire at night, and if she wants a feed I can just flop out a boob for her, lol, EASY! I am sure I am going to cop all the "rod for your back" comments from my fmily though. Oh gosh, if only I hd the energy you do! oh i love All Saints! I love those medical and hospital shows!

Sarah, hope Ari will fall asleep for you!

Jo, how did Nic go with the rice cereal?

Hehehe Claire is lying down on the couch behind me blowing raspberries and babbling! She thinks its absolutely hilarious and is laughing her little face off!!

Just got word that the company I work for has been sold, and there is the possibility of redundancy for some employees. I didnt get a lot of details so I dont know if its the managers or the back office people, so I have no idea if my job is safe! AND I found this out when I ws asking about part time work as I have job got a spot in childcare beginning in November! So now I have to wait for an offer from this other mob that bought my work.

I am going to get some nice professional photos done of me, hubby and claire, so I will soon have nice pictures! I am terrible at taking photos!

Karina - Nic was hilarious! I gave him the cereal, which he ate with gusto! He made the funniest faces! We took heaps of pics, so will put them up when I get a chance.

He was so good today though after that. He hasn't slept during the day for the last 3 days, but this morning, he went back down after his breakfast (bottle and cereal) but I had to wake him so I could take the girls to school (I hate doing that!). Anyway, he went back down again after I got home and slept for another hour, then woke for a play (not hungry) and went back to sleep for another 1 1/2 hours! Maybe he is catching up? Anyway, he had another sleep in the afternoon, and is in the shower now, then will have his night time bottle and go to bed. He was rolling over everywhere today and wiggling himself into all kinds of positions. Also, he is definitley getting his first tooth! Poor bubba, it is really making him cranky!

jomarie - No izzy is in her own room, although lately when she has her night feed i'll just leave her in my bed, im sooo scared that i won't wake up to her if she is in her cot... Her cot is proberly only 4-5metres from my bed the doors are right next to each other, and i have baby monitors as well! i just been a chicken... I'm glad Nic liked his cereal and he slept better!

karina - I get the 'rod for my own back' comment all the time, i just laugh now! hehe...hehe, i'll pass some of my energy along! i can't use it atm got AF... <passes karina energy>

Woah.. it's only been 2 days and so much happening!!

Jo, Oskar has been waking on occasions at around 3ish in the morning, so I just feed and put him back to bed... except the other night!! I went to turn the tv off with the remote but the batteries finally bit the dust... so I was doing the thing where you just roll them around but it was making a noise and disturbed Oskar cos he wasn't fully asleep so that was it!! After an hour I kicked Andy out of bed so Oskar could sleep with me and then I couldn't get back to sleep! lol. Last night though he went down around 6:30 and went through till 5:30 but that's only cos I kept bouncing him every now and then from about 4:30!! He hadn't slept much yesterday cos we were out all day... so that's why he slept so long last night.

Sarah, honey, I have no idea what to suggest with Ari other than what I used to have to do with Oskar and that was either sit on the lounge and let him sleep on me (nothing else got done but at least he slept) or I used to put him in his HAB. They were the only ways he would sleep during the day. Ooooh yeah the floor looks all snobby too huh...pmsl. Actually you know that a nappy store would probably do really well there cos of it's "feel"... you know what I mean huh. I seriously couldn't get over the prices of some of the things in those kiddy stores though... I mean OMG seriously how can it be justified when they grow so fast?? Hope I haven't offended anyone here... but wow!

Cass, I don't mind Toombul, it's only little, but Chermside has that snobby feeling for me. I used to shop at Toombul all the time - mainly groceries - cos it was my closest shop. I don't live as close to Chermside as I used to... probably approx. 30 mins?? I used to live at Stafford about 4 years ago!! I liked it there. I know what you mean about AF... it was seriously that light that didn't really need to use anything... I used a panty liner and that was it! It would be so nice if it was always like that!!

Karina, I hate it when something like that happens. I get sooooo cranky with myself and rave to myself about how stupid it was....lol. Woohoo on a new bf bra! My friend just sent me a couple of hers cos she's not bf anymore and they're only a few months old and they're all lacy too That sucks about the company you used to work for! Nothing worse than having to sit around and wait to know what you're doing.

Jen, he is a great little bubba!! Oskar doesn't have a set kinda routine so to speak. He seems to change his "routine" every week ... but overall he's settled and a good bub so I don't really mind, I just go with the flow. Sounds like you have a great place to work. See, men need us girls to keep track of everything ...lol... that's why you are in charge of the stock control!

I've been contemplating solids lately cos of Oskar waking sometimes at night now when he was sleeping through. He's also waking earlier. I'm just not sure if it's cos he's hungry or cos it's getting lighter a bit earlier again. I seriously need to get blockout blinds in our room and his (he's still in our room atm though).

Jo thats great Nic loved the Farex. Thats great he had a good sleep afterwards. I'm going to get some farex on my next shopping trip! I bought some coloured spoons for Claire and some little bowls, so now all I need is something to put in them.

Cass, theres baby store near us and its all "boutique" and stuff and sells little 0000 and 000 dresses and tops for like $50 - $80!!! I was like OMG and then they have pre-walker shoes at like $110! I went in there a few weeks ago and I was really embarrssed actually.

Just got back from a nice outing to mothers group. I walked there so I actually did a bit of excercse too! I made some choc chip cookies and I am pigging out on the left overs now, lol, even though I left some at the other mums house. I made LOTS of cookies. Claire started getting cranky while we were there (she was tired but didnt want to sleep) nd as soon as I went outside and put her in the pram she was fast asleep by the time I was at the end of the other mums driveway. ITs amazing how much all the other babies and Claire hve grown. I remember when I first went to the group they were all SO tiny! It was also really cute to see them all on the floor mats playing, laughing and gurling together.

Oh it has been quite here while I've been away, where is everyone!

Cass_blob - love the pics, she looks so cheeky!

Jomarie - yeah on Nic loving his cereal

Karina - Glad to hear you got to your mums group this time. We set up one here on Thurs and it was so nice to see the bubs all playing on the floor. Although I think Ari was jealous that all the babies were playing with her stuff. she kept getting this quizzical look on her face and then rlling over to where they were pmsl

Cass- I know, those prices are unbelievable, I seriously do not know how they sell enough to afford the rent there.

Well blow me down with a feather, for the second time in her life Ari has gone down tonight and stayed down. I have to keep going in and checking on her. We had some solids at 5pm today then an early bath and put her down at 5:45, she woke once at 7pm for a feed and has been asleep since. OMG. She has been super fussy after feeds for the past three days, taking both sides and then going back for the first side again so I thought I might try the solids again. So we'll see how we go. She is now sitting up by herself and having a ball! She thinks she is so clever. And blows the cutest raspberries hehe so cute. DS thinks its hilarious so they happily spit all over each other.

Anyway hope all are well talk soon
