M_t- sorry to hear ur EP is being an a$$... and sorry to hear that you cant get some answers about seths hips... YAY on the hand casts... i need to do that also... when i get around to it. Hope u have fun at the movies.

DD has been asleep for 3 hours.. i'm worried it'll mean no sleep tonight but hate waking her up when she's so peaceful. i'll give her another 15-20 mins and start making a bit of noise... hehe

Well, I've decided the 7 chapter post will have to be minimised somewhat... just too blahblahblah! How's 4 chapters for you??
Stoopid internet has been playing up on me, thanks to DP's fabulously inept technical fumblings, so it's really challenging to get anything done. Too busy fixing his stuff-ups!! lol. I've done it all now, though. I'm still feeling lousy, but Aadi's better. Poor little guy, if he felt half as bad as I do, it must have been absolutely dreadful. He was still incredibly happy and smily, and playing and giggling heaps, although perhaps a little more subdued than normal. It's a real challenge to feed him at the moment, because I keep coughing and my chest feels like I've been kicked by a horse... it's really hanging on, but hopefully this is the last of it. My mum rang me this morning to see if I was still alive, and now that she's got the damn bug too, she wanted to check if I should maybe Aadi to the hospital because she feels SO awful! It's nasty. Luckily Aadi made it thru with nothing more than panadol and Baby Balsam. Amazing.
The movie was pretty good yesterday, and I got a chance to catch up with some of my mothers group (who have all been sick with this cold too!). Most babies had at least a bit of a whinge, but Aadi and my friend's boy sat and watched the movie, "talked" to each other for a bit, fed and slept for a while, and generally behaved really well. I was impressed! Some kids were screaming, but you tend not to notice so much! Probably wasn't the best choice of movies to screen (lots of gunshots, some gory bits and swearing) but it was good just to get out of the house for a bit.

The weather was really warm on the weekend, so I gave Aadi some nappy-free time outdoors! (we have a back yard now - woohoo!) He loved it! It was great to get him outdoors without so many layers of clothes and blankets for a change. Of course, being Melbourne, it didn't last... but it was so nice to see him enjoying having bare skin for a bit! He's been covered up his whole life!
As for progress, well, it's been a busy week! Aadi was so unsettled and absolutely miserable for a couple of days when we moved out of the apartment. It was awful, and the fact that he was sick, and drooling and chewing everything and had sore gums and a sore bum just made it worse, but he still managed to smile and play, bless him. I couldn't put him down for hours at a time, mainly because there was nowhere, but he just wouldn't let me. He's settled down now, and is even sleeping well in the cot and not the bassinet, although it's in our room. For the first few nights in the house he slept with me in the bed, but that was mainly because it was cold and I kept falling asleep while feeding!
The river of drool has stopped pouring down his chin so much, but it's still there... and the chucking has eased off a little bit too. It's still happening but not so bad now. I hope he might finally be starting to grow out of it now that he's sitting up so much. We went to the MCH nurse today for the 4-month check, and he's packed on the weight and is 7.3kg now. Nurse reckons he's about at the developmental stage of a six-month-old, and wanted to re-check his birth date! It's a wonder he's so strong, full-on and active... frankly, I wonder how he does it, since he chucks so much of his feeds, and barely slept for the first 3 months! He's getting better, though, and has been having a few 2-3 hour naps during the day. He fell asleep in the pram on the walk home, and he's still there now, and it's been over an hour. He's growing out of his clothes too fast, though!!
Anyway, the unpacking is going ridiculously slow. The removalists were idiots, and even smashed the truck into my new neighbour's car! Nice way to introduce yourself... They put everything exactly where I didn't want it, and it's not like I have the time, space or energy to be shifting boxes of stuff right now, so it's staying where it is, and I'm managing with what I can find for the time being! My mum's such a star, she unpacked everything for the kitchen and put it away for me, in between making curtains for the whole house, so at least that's sorted (even if I can't find anything yet!).

Abb - enjoy your weekend away! IKWYM about packing... freaking myself out about going to Africa for 3 weeks in Dec/Jan, think I might have to charter a whole plane!

Jess - I'm not going to discuss poo with you! I'm too grown-up for that! Hahaha! But seriously, that's where my life is right now - at a stage where all I seem to discuss is vomit, poo and dribbling... I'd be so pleased if I didn't have to deal with grunting and bum-rumbles every morning! It'd be a revolting mess if boy-o held on for more than 24 hours, it's bad enough after 12. I'm not going to start with the farex for Aadi yet, although he is starting to show an interest in watching us eat. I just don't think his digestive system is up to it yet. It's bad enough with the milk chucks, I don't want to clean gluey rice muck off everything!!

Bec - great idea for the swimming lessons, I hope Cameron loves it. I heard it's a good idea to wear a t-shirt in the water so bubs can hang onto something.

mis_tree - good luck with the specialists at the hospital. It must be just too frustrating, not getting the answers you're looking for, and then having to deal with complication elsewhere in your life! You don't need it! Hope the foot casting (take 2) works better. That's a great idea. I got a belly cast done at 39 weeks, which is sitting on the floor in my spare room right now looking like some kinda weird egg with boobs... little feet are much cuter!!

sassy - go the jolly jumper! I want one for me! And if you still have those MCN hanging around, I could probably take em off your hands now. Told you I'd probably change my mind! It's a dream come tru for me to have a real clothesline. Now how pathetic is that??

And to everyone else I've missed, I'll have to come back to you in the sequel!

    Hi everyone...

NaNa- thought i'd take ages to read ur post... what happened i think you must have left a few things out ... Its great to have another blabber back... i've been blabbering on here and not many reolys to mine... haha... Glad the movies went ok, i havent done that either yet. Also YAY on the no nappy time outside ... we have a beautiful day here today but a bot of wind. I just put DS down and she fell straight asleep with a nice breze comming through the front door... so nice to have the door opened and get some noce spring air through the house. As for ur mum, she sounds like a champ... the 1st thing we did when we moved was kitchen...
HAH about having a real clothesline is it a hills hoist??? i love mine... (just wish DP would get his A$$ into gear and move it so i can use it again. .

As for the farex... DS is going well, she has a tiny bit and it has helped the chucking heaps. also settled the acidy regurgatiting (spl) that she was doing. I was a bit worried starting it but it hasnt affected her in fact its helped in the poop department... she's done a poop every day since we started few days ago... SHe is so much more settled and her little face light up when she see's her spoon . but i understand not wanting to start it just yet... Never thought i'd be starting yet but the peads advice is working so i guess we'll just see how things go. we had a great night no wake up last night hopefully we can get another good night. She was alspp at 11 but only slept for 10 min she seems to like this 1.30-3-4pm sleep. so we'll see how we go and follow her lead again.

M_T- hope things get better 4 u... must be so hard dealing with ur EP as well as the stress and worry about seths hips... Good luck and have a good day out of contact,....

Jess, I left HEAPS out!! But I reckon I'd get booted if I kept babbling away like a loony and wasting everyone's precious time with my nonsense! Maybe I should get organised and write that book... or just post some more!!
Yes, it's a real Hills Hoist, super vintage original 1950's model! It's so sad, I actually did have dreams of hanging nappies on a real clothesline! That apartment was giving me cabin fever... and I'm sure I'm just a 50's housewife at heart!

Aadi was having a scream for no real reason before, and wouldn't sleep despite being super-tired from all the kicking he was doing this morning. He's really loving playing with his feet now and kicks like crazy at the toys on his play mat. Anyway, I put him in the pram and went for a nice walk around the neighbourhood. Warm enough for a t-shirt! Anyway, he hushed up as soon as I got him in the pram, and fell asleep just as I was turning into our street. He's having another long kip in the pram. I'm so happy it's getting easier to get him to sleep!! I really didn't want to get caught in that trap of feeding to sleep... and the walking is great, but my pants keep falling down and that's not cool! I cant seem to keep any weight on despite eating like a pig. That's not right, is it?? I want my bum back!!!

Mis_tree - I hear you. I read some of your other posts, and I went thru a similar thing with my ex-husband. Oh crap that makes me feel old saying that! Of course, no baby involved then, so nowhere near as upsetting as things must be for you right now, but the whole deal with police, AVO/DVO, legal mess just sucks the life out of you. Stay cool, for your sake, and Seth's. It will pass, and you'll be stronger for it. And lord knows you need strength to be a mum!

nana: yeah i still have the MCN pm me. u sound liek u have been very busy. i hope the unpacking goes well. we moved the weekend after jayda was born and we still have some things in boxes lol. jayda is loving her legs at the mo too. all we heard this morning was bang bang bang on the side of the cot and her talk talk talk. we put her in one way and when we go to get her out she is upside down back to front lol.

misst: i put jayda in the high chair last week and she loved it too. i think she liked being up at our level instead of being in the pram or bouncer at the under the table level lol.

jess: jayda is grabbing toys to eat them too. i am being so paranoid witht he daycare kids. telling them not to touch her toys or to wash their hands b4 they play with her so she doesnt get any germs off her toys.

abb: hope u r having a good time away.

bec: wat kind of things do they do this young at swiming lessons it is more them just getting used to the water isnt it.i really wanna start jayda early cause i cant swim and i dont want he rto go through that.

heheh dont wanna rub it in but i have lost 13.2kg in nearly 6 weeks i got 10kg to go i am so excited.
starting her on solids tomorrow. we went for the 4 month needles today and i asked if i could satrt cause she is driving me crazy and they said yes. she was a little sooky after hte needles but not too bad.
work is crazy at the mo we r gettin taken over by a new company so they have come around to tell us all about anythign we have to fix. so i got a few things nothing too major. cant wait till the new people take over i will get more money and there r heaps less fee's which means even more money.

sass- thats awesome... i know i seriously need to do something about my weight but i.m struggling a bit at the moment... i just cant seem to drop the weight... i know i have to the warmer wether is comming and i've been feeling the heat so i know its time to drop the weight. i've always been big and hate it so need to just shut it and do something. i dont eat much mine is basically not enough excercise. i take the kkids for walks but its not every day. so need to up the distance or the days per week...

I'm not looking forward to needles again... the last lady was brutal.

Tiahna has been a bit sooky today. i dont think she's used to the heat. It was a lovely day but she's not been very happy to go much at all (except feed that is) i have her in a pretty dress and matching little nappy cover... she looks so cute...

    Hello Ladies

Long time no speak.... I have gone back to work full time so not much time to get on here and chat.

So far so good with being back at work, it has now been 3 weeks and all going well. Zali is sleeping all night so I am getting heaps of rest.

We had Zali's 4mth shots yesterday, she did not seem to care, just screeched at the second needle then they showed her a bear and she laughed and all was good. She is now 8.3kg and is 68.5cm long, so I think she is going to be quite tall like her mum & dad.

We have bought a block of land & are going to start building soon, so it is going to be a bit full on for a few months.... but I cant wait to move into a house as we are still in our 1brm apartment.

I don't envy you all who had to move house with a new born, that must have been crazy.

I haven't started Zali on solids yet, she is doing well on bottles for now but I will probably start her in the next few weeks though as she loves to watch us eat and she gets all excited and dribbles like crazy.

I hope you are all doing well with your cute little munchkins.

    Have a fun weekend.

    Cheers Mecil

    Hi All,

Feeling a bit lazy so will just say to everyone, as not doing personals today.

Cameron had his 1st swimming lesson yesterday. It was good, he seemed to really enjoyed. I stood on the side taking pics while DH had some quality time in the pool with him. Cameron only got a little upset a couple of times - when DH was accidently drowning him- he said it was difficult to turn him around, while Cameron was laying in the water and keep his mouth up - Cameron copped a mouthfull of water. Other then that he seemed to love it and particularly liked checking out the other 2 chicks in there swimmers (there was only 3 in the lesson, and the other 2 were girls, one of which we go to mothers group with - who it seemed like he recognised - this was the little girl who always tries to hold Cameron's hand - I keep calling her his girlfriend )- he wouldn't stop looking at them. It was just teaching the babies the swimming reflexes, such as kicking. Also had them hold onto the side of the pool and how to get in the pool safely. They floated around the pool on the backs, then fronts whilst they sang nursery rhymes (mainly the teacher, as the 2 fathers, including my DH are not ones for singing). It was for about 30mins, so as soon as we got in the car - Cameron was so exhausted he fell asleep - DH didn't even have his seat belt on yet .

We are just having a bit of a relaxing day today, as after swimming we came home, gave Cameron a quick shower, a little sleep then we went out to meet friends at a tavern on the water. It was nice and relaxing, but Cameron didn't sleep as much as he would when he's at home (too many things to look at) - though he was a good boy, only started to grumble just before we left.

He is going for his needles tomorrow afternoon, hoping he will be ok like he was last time, where it didn't seem to effect him at all. And hopefully they have the 2 nurses like they did last time, where they did the 2 needles at the same time. DH will be there, so he can comfort him while I dry my eyes

Hope everyone is enjoying there weekends.

    Bye for now

DD is booked for her 4 month needles of friday. Once she gets these done were off to get her ears pierced.i have decided to get them done early as to avoid her touching them and also avoid infections. i'm getting another set done aswell i think. Kinda to go through what she is.

Yesterday we had dinner at MIL for my BIL's B'day. DS was running wild and DD was cring the whole time except while i was holding her. She was great during dinner thou... watching so many people eating she was smacking her lips together and getting excited. MIL kept saying "i'll blend some up for her to eat but were not feeding her that stuff yet. Just sticking with the few little spoons of the farex with the EBM and thats it until she's a little older My GP said to start on the rice as she could get constipated and i have already found she's pooping more regular now with the small feeds here and there. I dont do them daily but every few days is a nice treat for her. I also brought some teething rusks (the box said 6 months) but she's chewing everytihing and i remembered how hard they were. Anyways she LOVES them she cant chew all the way throu but she sucks on them for ages and chomps. I didnt think she would get any loose but she did. She doesnt like it so spits it out but loves to chew on something with a bit of taste. I Just watch her closely JIC.

We got a GR8 nite sleep went to bed at 8 and slept til 6 this morning. I picked her up straight away before she cried and she fed in bed and went back to sleep... WOOO HOOO... But i woke up with massive Baywatch boobs. i fed from 1 side and just expressed from the other.

Mecil- Great to see u back here. COngrats on the block of land. And WOW at being back at work full time. Glad Zali is doing well.

Bec*- Hope Macey is doing well. i was a chocoholic but have cut down on it and the dreaded coke. I hate diets seems like i have been on diets my whole life. i do need to shif the weight. I havent lost any yet... well i did after bubs but not since. probably gained weight... too scared to jump on the scales.

Bec7- Icongrats on the swimming lessons. i did them with my DS he loved the water but unfortunatly DD hates it. so i'll start her later on. Good luck with Cam's needles.

Best be off Little miss just woke up... an extra hour and a half wasnt too bad
