Hi All (again  lol)
That's how long it took to write my post this morning with my interruptions, didn't even realise Sassy, Abb and Nikki had all posted before me - just saw my notifications now.
Sassy - I'm not sure what to get Cameron, but I think DH wants to get him a trike (one with the handle on the back)- he looks at them everytime we are in the toy shop. I can't wait to get him a trampoline though- but will probably wait til his 2nd birthday for that one (he loves bouncing in his jolly jumper and 'play station'). I'm not doing any particular diet - just trying to eat healthy and exercising (which at this stage is only walking around our hilly area and putting a bit of bounce in my housework hehe). I can feel the difference already and my clothes seem to be agreeing.
Abb - Yuk on all that travelling - i hope you's settle back into your normal routine quickly. Glad Hamish was good for you at the funeral, he probably felt from you that he needed to behave there. Ouch on the $$$ for you in May. We are very lucky as Cameron is the only birthday in May (except for a friend of mine, who we don't really go all out for birthday presents anyway). Our busiest months with birthdays is March (DH, Mum and a niece's daughter) and September (mine, brother and my dog oh and MIL -whoops almost forgot).
Got Cameron weighed, he is exactly 8kg. Thought he would've put on a little more, but he must be exercising all that food off with his crawling and climbing.
Oh gotta go, Cameron's woken already (that's not good, only 40mins - he usually goes for at least 1.5hrs).
Bye for now

Hi everyone!
Sorry, I got a bit cross at losing a huge post the other night, but it seems the issue has been resolved for the moment. Anyway, things are going ok here, to a point.
Bec - It probably seems like past history now, but I hope things get resolved with your car, and I still think that other girl was parked illegally by the sounds of it (DP got a ticket for parking the opposite direction in a suburban street once!) but what a drama! Has the dust settled a bit with your mum, DH and you? Don't worry, even without temper and mood issues, we all get a bit irrational at times (my time is now!) and forget to be nice to each other. I think sleep deprivation/interruption plays a big part in it, maybe??
I dont know about weighing at my clinic... never done it except at appoinments. I just know that DS must be at least 10kg now!
Abb - you forgot, my birthday on the 3rd! :D Glad your trip went well, it must have been very emotional, and I hope it hasn't disrupted your routine too much back at home. I know it was only a few days, but it can be chaotic. It's great that Hamish was well behaved, especially after cutting 2 top teeth! IKWYM about having so much less time now that bubs are everywhere!
Sassy - it's great that you're feeling better after cutting back your hours a bit, and I hope that working the Mondays will still give you enough time to yourself. Hope the extra $$ is worth it. I'd be really hesitant about getting a dog now, as much as I'd like one, but it's mainly coz Aadi would drive any animal mad! He's such a boofhead! 1st birthday? We've already ordered a whole heap of French kids books from overseas. Ummm... hadn't thought about it much. Is that bad?? Still haven't sorted DP's birthday in Feb. Oops!
LMK - How about getting BabyLegs for Abbie's birthday? So her pretty little legs stay pretty while on her crawling adventures?! I think they're gorgeous. Aadi has ones with flames up the legs, but his legs are so chunky it's a bit ridiculous!
Mis - That's fantastic news! Enjoy reconnecting with your little guy. It will be so worth it, for both of you. And now the poor kid's got an ear infection.... gee, he's going to grow up into such a tuffy! I hope some mum-time with him will help him mend. Cuddles are very therapeutic!
I haven't bothered lowering the mattress in the cot here yet, as Aadi just wont sleep in it anymore! Driving me a bit mental?! yeh. I'm working on it, but think maybe it's time I just pulled it out and put it on the floor in his playroom. Nothing to smash his teeth on in there!
Jess - it's great that you're able to make a bit more quality time for you and DP. We wont go anywhere, you can always come back later!! Congrats on winning the tix, how ironic that you'd intended to go there that day also. Didn't your dog have pups just last year?? Or am I remembering something completely wrong? I know my mum reckons she was having puppies, but she's a loony.
Last weekend we went to a friend's place in the afternoon for a few hours. Aadi had a nap there at his usual time, and was ok sleeping on their bed, but he got a bit over-excited and was having too much fun after that, so that when bedtime came around, he wouldn't settle again even tho I put him in pjs and did all the normal bedtime routine there. By the time we got home it was after 10, but we put him straight to bed and everything was fine. Half an hour later, tho, he woke up screaming and sobbing hysterically and wouldn't stop for an hour. It was horrible! He finally calmed down and went back to sleep (after a minor argument between DP and I), but woke a few times thru the night and was up for the day at 6am.... argh! He's really started to fight sleep now (even more than before!!) and will often cry and carry on, kicking and pulling my hair, for half an hour or so before finally giving in and sleeping, even for his day naps. He wont even feed to sleep anymore, which is kind of annoying because that was always the easiest way to get him to relax and sleep if I was really desperate for him to nap! I'd just started working out a plan for helping him to sleep without needing to feed and he goes and stops it all by himself!! Oye...
Apart from that, he's commando crawling all over the house now and pulling himself up to standing a lot too. He wont get off his elbows to crawl, though, so I don't know when or if he'll go back to proper crawling on hands and knees like he did for just a few days. He often pushes up onto his feet though, but his elbows are still down so he ends up on his face with his bum in the air. Silly boy!
We had a bit of excitement this morning, which is probably a bit TMI... but DS did poo on the potty! I've been getting him used to sitting on it lately, with a nappy on, and putting him on it when he wakes up (coz that's when he floods!) so he associates the potty with the sensation of peeing... anyway, it was mostly just good timing but I'm proud nonetheless!! Changing stinky nappies is not my favourite thing to do first thing in the morning, so the less I have to do of that the better.
Anyway, I started this post at lunch time, and now it's 8.30... a lot has happened this afternoon and I got interrupted so much, I doubt anything will make sense. Sorry!! It's too hot and my brain is toasted after I went walking and forgot my hat (and Aadi's is too big for me - lol). OK, I'm going to bed now. Sorry, have I forgotten anyone? Girl? Where you at?
-
Hi all..... wow me cutting down on BB hours is making me fall behind in everyones posts.... hehe
I did a post but by the time i started and finniahed it there were upgrades and it didnt display my post..... typical me didnt save it either....
NaNa- Yeah my dog had puppies just after Tiahna was born..... this will be the last littler she'll have..... i'm having her fixed up.... Hugs on the sleeping issues still..... everytime i think i have DD worked out it changes again and i'm back at the drawing board. it really sucks.... we dont have the best situiation to have a set routine but it would be nice to have some pattern and similar days.... DD is also back to commando crawling..... but maily wanting up (as in standing up) she's loving holing my hands and trying to walk around.... she takes steps to try to get DS its so cute.... but hoping it will be a while before we have walking on her own.....
Bec- YAY on the weigh in.... i'd guess DD would be a bout the same.... she is still very petite to me.... tall but little..... i'm really hoping she gets DP's tall skinny genes.....I'm sure my dog would never bit aswell but you can never be too careful with your kids and dogs i think
Abb- glad things went well... bugger bout the traveling.... i can just imagine hamish seeing DP and DD after few days.... when DP went away DD was non stop staring and smiling, waving laughing.... very cute.... wowo ur going to be busy in may.... you forgot mothers day..... hehe
We have mothers day in may, DP's birthday on 15th then DD's 29th i know there is a few people also in may but cant remember at the mo..... then mine in July. our Bdays arent too bad now we dont see my fam..... we have a wedding in a few weeks and they have asked for cash.... whats the go there..... They have one of those money well things... do we put the cash in there or envelope it what????i guess i should just ask them.....
Well things here are getting better...... DD's tonsilitis has almost cleared up and the oral thrush is almost gone but she developped a weird rash yesterday the GP said it could be from the thrush, could be a viral thing or an allergy.... have to go back tommorow for a check up.... he said her imune system must be low..... She is still fissy when taking her bottle... i need to calm her down and get her to finally suck on it but i'm sure she'll get there..... lately all she wants to do is hold hands and stand up and try to walk. The rash she has is worse on her elbows and knees which i think is from crawling on the carpet. she can get up on all 4s but hasnt since the 1 time....
Mis- YAY on being a sahm..... its great..... i have a month or 2 before make my decicision
-
Hi everyone
Well Hamish is finally crawling properly but also gets on his feet alot now and is climbing up on things and standing, i think he believes he is older or something and has no fear at all, will fall and fall but keeps trying it is quite funny to watch but a little scary sometimes. We are having a few issues with getting him to sleep atm but i think it is because when i was in qld i slept with him as we slept in the rumpus room with my mum, sister and nephew all together and i didnt want him crying so i had him in bed with me, so now i have to be tough and get him back into a routine again. He has slept right through the two nights we have been home its just getting him to bed that is the problem but hopefully after a few days my persistance will win.lol
Jess - i did forget mothers day doh, its a crazy month and also a big one for special birthdays as my mum is 60 and maddi is 13, hamish 1 ofcourse. With the wedding money, there is a thread on here started yesterday actually about how much to give when asking for money etc.
NaNa- SO SORRY forgot your birthday how inconciderate(sp) of me.lol The two top teeth are still giving him grief a bit i think as he is constantly trying to bite things and omg my niples (tmi) are so sore the last few days he is so rough. Speaking of rough Hamish is very rough playing and also pulling my hair and at my face etc, i am presuming this is a boy thing as maddi was never like this, i am always pulling his hands away trying to tell him no and to be gentle but i know it is too soon for him to understand but i am getting frustrated with it sometimes he can really hurt when he gets going. It can get embarassing when someone else is holding or playing with him and i am not sure where he learnt it from as we do not play rough with him. I guess i just need to teach him to be more gentle.
Bec - i have Hamish appointment next week ar mchn they do some 8 mnth check thing, we havent been since november so it will be interesting to see how much he weighs.
Sass - it seems may is busy month for you too.
LMK - hamish did the backwards thing for awhile, i wouldnt be in a hurry for her to crawl or walk fast, my dd walked at 9 mnths and it was too soon. How is the treadmill?
Mis Tree - yay on the sahm, you will reconnect with stanks in no time and wont know yourself with all the free time you will have to do things together, enjoy.
Deancey- how is everything going in preparation for your studies?
Girl - how is yasmeena sleeping going?
-
Heeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooo ladies,
Thank you for not forgetting about me and little Yasmeenia. I have been so busy with summer school, doing readings and answering questions every two days, plus assignment due in 30th January, and not to mention EXAM early Feb. Yasmeenia is wonderful. Her sleeping is good, much better than before. I can't believe I was considering sleeping school when all I needed to do was snuggle with her, keep her tired, and not give up! On a very busy day, she is in bed no later than 9pm but normally around 8pm. I can't wait to get check her weigh at the 8 months meeting. I hope I have a nice child health nurse.
-
Hi All,
Just a quick one, as I'm planning an early night - so tired. Just having a chamomile tea (which is not as bad as I've been lead to believe - this one has a hint of passionfruit and lemon) and hopefully I will fall asleep quickly tonight.
NaNa - Yay on the potty. My friend had the same success with her daughter at 8months, but it was a 1 time deal though, hopefully he can keep doing it for you or at least 'fluke' it again (if that's what it was).
Jess - Poor Tiahna. I think she's had her fair share of sicknesses, hope this is the end for you for a long time. IKWYM about the wanting to stand and walk. Cameron's been like since he was a few months old, always wanting to stand, and now he is climbing up on everything. Just wished he'd learn to sit down, so he doesn't need to squeal for me to help him especially in the morning when he wakes - I go in and he is standing and squealing cause he can't get down, but laughs as soon as I open the door - cheeky boy!
On the envelope thing, if they didn't provide one in the invitation (we did this for ours, that way it was annonymous), then I actually saw in the newsagent yesterday a little wedding envelope for this purpose. My friend who I'm bridesmaid for in 7weeks did this, and I'm going to give her money in her wedding card (I'm thinking $50) and a gift (cause she is my best friend). If it was someone I didn't want to give much money to (like I don't know them too well), I'd do it annonymously.
Abb - Yay and oh no (lol) on the crawling. Its another bitter sweet moment hey. And once again we seem to be having sleeping issues which are similar... Cameron's been a little difficult to get to sleep at night too, but thankfully once he's down he'll usually last the night through. Lately we've been almost cuddling him to sleep, which was something we never had to do at night time. But DH has been home to do this, and he even said tonight that he is enjoying it as it feels like a nice bonding moment (so think we'll stick with this routine for a while, as difficult as it may be).
Girl - Glad Yasmeenia's sleeping issues have resolved. I don't know how you do it with the study as well. Good on you. I was never that good at school (always a last minute - night before studier), I'm not sure if I could ever study again, well not for a while.
Well that's all from me...my tea cup is now empty.
Bye for now
-
Hi ladies
Girl i am glad the yas is sleeping much better:-)
I can't believe that your babies are pulling themself up t stand!!!!!!! My Abbie is a bit slow hey lol Not that i mind lachlan crawled at 6 months and walked at 10 months so i am not really complaining:-)

Lol@Bec. Bec, I have to study otherwise if I don't finish this HR degree (by this semester, if I continue with full-time study), I wouldn't know what to do with myself. During my single days I worked as a data entry clerk part time. Although it paid well for a single student living with mummy and my siblings, it isn't suitable for a mother. I want a career, working my way up and sticking with it ;). Also, I wasn't the study type until more recently when I discovered how my sisters (all graduated - two scientist and a nurse) were doing well and how I needed to catch up with the rest of the gang  and not be the black sheep in the family. Studying now is becoming a little bit more harder because DD has becoming more demanding and crys for my attention. DH always plays with her. For the first time today, he was playing with her while he was getting ready to go out, he left and she cried. It was so funny. I totally forgot to tell him. He always makes noises trying to get her attention or make her smile.
Love-my-kids, mother of 3, you must be very busy. DD has yet to stand too, so we are on the same boat.
Next week Tuesday I think I am will go to the childcare close to me to enrol Yasmeenia because I have my assignment due in soon. My laptop crashed last week, so I have to go to the library to type my assignment and I can't do that with her. I tried yesterday, no luck. She was too noise and wanted my attention. Something is wrong with Microsoft on the PC
I better get going and put Yasmeenia back to sleep because she woke up again.
By the way, I am interested to know what you guys do, occupation wise. I know Nana is a chef:clap:, the rest?
-
I can't wait
After my exam (6th - 7th Feb) DH, DD and I will be going to Rottnest Island for a weekend. I can't wait. It's such a beautiful place from what I have seen on sites. Anyone heard of it?
-
Hi All,
Just a quick one. Very quite in here....sometimes we can just babble away and sometimes it can be sooo quite (usually lots of talk when I've been away...as I'm a slow reader and it usually takes me forever to catch up, lol)
Girl - I work in a Bank - which bank...yeah that's the one. Customer Service. I would like to not go back, but if we want to have lifestyle and the staff home loan and other good benefits then I must go back, leave is up in May  .
I've heard of Rottness Island - is that in WA...don't know too much about it though...I've not ventured to far from where I live really. I would love to see more of Australia one day though, probably when Cameron (and possible other kids) are older and can appreciate it too.
Nikki - How steamy has it been today hey...Where abouts in Brissy are you? I'm still sweating now, almost thinking of going for a swim. Glad the rain stopped though, hopefully it will stay clear for the next few days too, as I would like DH to mow the lawn tomorrow
We had a challenging day. Cameron's still waking at 6am, so I'm slowly now getting use to it (use to be 7am, which I loved). But when he went down only slept for 50mins this morning (usually 2hrs). We then popped to the shops and he started to sleep on the way home. I tried to play with him to keep him awake as he was due for another feed. Eventually when home he fed, then put to bed, but only slept 30mins...it was so stinking hot (he was sweating). We had plans to go out for dinner to a friends birthday party. Cameron was soooo overtired though, but cheeky thankfully. Just giggled and laughed and blew raspberries on everyone who held him. But he cracked it big time on the way home, cried and cried. Unfortunately I was on the highway, so there was nothing I could do, but within 5 mins of crying he'd worn out and fell asleep. Thankfully he was successfully transferred to bed...so far so good (been 1.5hrs now). I still expect him to wake with a start though, as he seems to do that when he is overtired..probably at 3am.
Well that's all from me. Hope everyone has a great long weekend with their family.
Bye for now

Sorry I've been missing for a bit... things have been feral around here and I just can't seem to think straight. Aadi's STILL teething. It's driving me completely mental. He will not sleep, or can't sleep, or just fights and fights it so much. Last night it took DP and I an hour each before he finally went to sleep (in our bed), then he woke up an hour later. Then he woke up at 12.30 and I had to change him coz he'd soaked thru a night nappy. That's incredible, since it's 18 layers of super-absorbent bamboo! Then he woke again for a feed twice more before needing ANOTHER change at 5.30. He just stinks at the moment. From then on he just wouldn't resettle, and he spent the next couple of hours kicking me, pulling my hair, crawling around the bed and smacking at me. I tired my best to ignore it, but he whacked me in the eye and bit me so many times that I just cried and pushed him over to DP's side of the bed and made him deal with it. DP eventually got up and changed Aadi again, and played with him for a bit, but then when DP decided to make himself a coffee, he brought him back in to the bedroom and put him in bed with me again. So round 2 starts! And the silly man didn't even make me a cup of tea. Grrr... Anyway, Aadi promptly puked all over me, and the bed. Disgusting.
So I don't know what to do. I'm trying soooo hard to maintain a bedtime routine that worked up until last week, but I guess it's time to rethink it. I can't get Aadi anywhere near his cot now without him screeching and kicking up the hugest fuss. Something's up with that. I might try putting his mattress on the floor in his room for a while. He can't smash anything or anyone, or hurt himself in there. I'm really working hard on a new sleep plan, and DP's helping as much as possible, but it's just so hard when Aadi's being brutally difficult!
To make things worse, my mum kindly offered my place to stay for a couple of art students who are somehow related to her partner. So they're turning up this week (loads of notice!) to stay until they find somewhere of their own. Which could be months... rental places are practically non-existant here at the best of times, but it's worse at the start of uni. There's usually at least 50 people turn up to an inspection, and most people offer extra money to the real estate in order to get accepted! Oh, and these people don't know anything about Melbourne, so I have to play tour guide and just generally be nice to them, even though I don't know them and they're going to have to share my tiny house. Let's just say that I'm really freakin' delighted about this whole prospect. I've sent a pretty intense vent email to my mum coz I just can't speak to her about it without getting really upset right now. I've spent all this weekend clearing out the bungalow when I should have been spending that time with DP and getting some well-earned rest. I don't have time to get dressed some days, so playing host isn't high on my priorites list. My mum doesn't realise how intense Aadi is, as she was so busy doing other stuff when we were visiting her she really didn't do much with him... ah well.
I'll try and get back later for personals, but no guarantees. I got tonnes to do and I'm shattered.
Hope you're all doing better than us! I'm pretty sure you are. :(

Morning ladies......
Well We have puppies.... I was up all night with the dog.... she's got 5 beautiful puppies. 4 black and 1 brown. She was fantastic..... so quiet and calm...... She is doing well.... puppies have been feeding and mum has been up and eaten and drank....
Well on the child front.... DD is doing well... back to her old self except she is actually sleeping better..... we have 1-2 wake ups few times had sleep throughs.... i;m happy with an every now an then full night sleep...... I cant believe how fast she is growing....
So many people are leaving around here..... its actually making me wonder if they have reached a point we all eventually will get to.... its made me think about how much time i have been spending on here. which is why i'm here but not as mmuch as i was.... I luv BB but my kids are growing up too fast in front of me. i'll still be popping in here but i dont think i'll participate much in the other threads. I used to be on here for hours replying to threads.....
Well DP is at a bucks weekend so i'm busy cleaning up so best get back to it before DD wakes up....
-
Lol@Bec. That was funny. I have a good idea which bank.
Today was very tiring. DH, DD and I went to DH's friends house. I met DH's friends wife, lovely lady. We stayed with them for a while. I was a little nervous as the wife held Yasmeenia because she has two 12 year old dogs. She did a good job of keeping the dogs away from her. She was a caring lady. I was frightened for Yasmeenia, as it was her first time a dog coming near her, also she is at the stage where she bends over to pull, pick anything near her up. At one stage she almost grabbed at one of the dogs:doh:. Too close of a call. I am never going back to their place because of the dogs. Although it was nice seeing someone else different hold her almost as long as I do. At first she was quiet, observed, spoke a little, remained quiet again and became very talkative. Man, I should be doing my assignment! I better get going and make a start before Yasmeenia wakes up for a quick feed. I am exhausted from today.
Hi and bye Nana, Bec, Love-my-kids, Sassy, Abb, Jess and Mis-tree

Morning Everyone
Hope you all had a great long weekend
Oh it is going to be so hot here this week i am not looking forward to it at all.
I have 5 days straight of work from friday so i am not looking forward to that either but the money will be good, i have only been doing the odd day here and there lately so it will be hard to get back into again even if it is just a one off.
Had a good weekend with dp, was not looking forward to saturday night all last week, dp had to host vip room at the speedway, but when we arrived and the noise was so loud i thought hamish would freak but he loved it. It was a long night but was enjoyable, we got to ride in the pace car out on the track and in the utes that pushed the sprint cars off on the track, Maddi was very excited as she got to press the button for starting lights etc, it was defineltey worth going. Then sunday friends of mine were having an aussie day bbq and then going to see a band, so Dp being so nice suggested i just go and spend sometime with my friends and he stayed home and looked after Hamish, i had a great time and drank way too much but thoroughly enjoyed myself and it was fantastic to actually feel normal again. Didnt feel to good yesterday morning though. I got home at 2 am and was dredding Hamish waking but he never woke until 9am and then had a bottle went back to bed at 11 and slept for another 2 and half hours, he was such a good boy all day. So i had a fab weekend.
Girl - my mum has a boxer and she is so great with hamish, he loves her and she is so protective of him, but i would never leave them alone unattended. So good to hear you are having sometime away, i have never been there but heard it is nice.
Jess - yay on the puppies, you will have your hands full for awhile with them, its great watching them grow the first few days.
NaNa - oh it sounds like you are having a hard time with aadi atm, we had sleep issues for awhile there but i persisted and i think we are right again, had 5 nights of no wake ups and only a short time to settle to sleep, Hamish is very rough too, pulling hair and biting atm, it is awful, he also grabs at faces all the time. I hope you can sort out aadi's sleep soon.
Mis - glad stanks is doing better for you now, i hope your dog is ok
Bec - Hamish also is well behaved when out even if he is exhausted, weird isnt it. How did Cameron end up sleeping for you?
Thats it for me, hi to everyone i missed.
-

Its very quiet in here.
JUst had Hamish weighed and 8 month check this morning,
Weight 8.920 kg (19'10) Length 69.5cm and Head 44cm
He has stayed on the average line since birth and has continued that way, so i am happy with that.
Oh boy is it hot here today 40 atm, We dont have air conditioning but do in our caravan, so Dp went and took it out and we have it in lounge atm. So Hamish and i are closed inside lounge with a/c on for the day way to hot to do anything else. Dd is a t beach with a friend and staying the night so she will enjoy that, i sometimes feel bad for her as we cant do all the things we use to as its too hot to take Hamish out. But in time i am sure we will.
I think i will be getting Hamish a trike with a handle for his birthday, my nephew has one and Hamish loves having a go on it, but i am thinking it could probably wait until he is a little older so might be a better xmas present. We already have a swing set, but would like to get him something maybe for outside as he loves the outsdoors, will have a think about it.
Hi to everyone, wherever you all are...lol
