AAARRGGHH... just wrote a reply and it disappeared.
I'm still up for meeting next Tues. Am easy as far as the location. Vic your place or Camberwell area may suit BG better as you can just get off the Monash Fwy at Bourke Rd - (BG, you come in down the Monash don't you?)
Who else is in?
Will try to pop back later and attempt a decent post for once... don't hold your breath!
Hi girls! Ooooh, Krystie - you beat me to it. How cool that Kyson laughed last night! I am also thrilled that Phoebe had a big chuckle today :) It was so cute. I was pulling faces and feigned a shocked gasp and she cacked herself! (And I only did it a million more times after that, LOL! She got tired of it before I did.)
Shar: Welcome back. I'm so thrilled that you and your DD are doing well :)
Bridg: Glad the new formula is suiting Logan better. How adorable that he gets cross with his brothers for leaving him! Way cute. I love watching Natty and Phoebe interact. These babies have such a beautiful bond with their older siblings by the sounds. P's not so great on her tummy either - she only lasts around 5 minutes before she starts getting cross, even if I am in her face entertaining her. I try to hold her over my arm too because she doesn't get much floor time. Glad Logan is sleeping so well for you!
Nicky: LOL @ the boring life... Don't you have a poo story to tell?!? ;) Hope Allira's teeth come through quickly and not too painfully.
Bella: Glad you had a great time at the rally! Was thinking of you all yesterday. Was J in the paper today?
BG: Sorry the relos gave you such a hard time. I can't believe people are commenting on E's "temper"?!? wth? Don't all babies cry from time to time? Gee, if not then mine have a temper too. Hope you had a good time in town tonight and your dinner is fun.
We went to playgroup this morning and one of the mums has a 3-week-old baby. I heard her cry today and realised again how much Phoebe has changed and is growing. This little sausage was 200g bigger than Phoebe at birth, but she still looked impossibly tiny. I've already forgotten those early days :( There are two girls who are due to have their bubs in early November and I was struggling to remember being that pregnant too, LOL!
will bbl - P is very cross
ahhhh do i have time for persies? hope so - the poppet is still sleeping but has started stirring!
Amy - i so agree with that feeling of forgetting what it was like to be pg and have a new newborn. it's so different - i even find myself missing being pg (just the pg bit NOT the ms lol). i've even hit the point where i'm not completely against having another if nature says i should. the idea of the constant MS freaks me out, but the pay off at the end was worth it!!
Kat -i'm still in for Tuesday as far as i know. if we can move it this way a little (i come in on the Monash) it would help. i took E to pakenham to Ravens yesterday - she made the trip ok (slept most of the way) - but i think the other side of Melbourne would be a fair stretch of the imagination with getting her to last it out. i'd have to stop somewhere and feed her - i could probably stretch it further but definitely not all the way to Collingwood. if others want to meet there i'm ok with it though - i'll just hve to stop at narrewarren to feed her on my way through (such a tragedy - HAVING to stop at krispy kreme!)
KL (and Amy) isn't the laugh the cutest sound? E has done some little giggles for a bit over a month - but she startles herself with the noise so it's few and far between - and when she does, she stops really quickly. she laughs in her sleep though - sounds evil lol
Bridg - so glad the change to formula seems to be helping Logan. it's great that a small change can help him. so cute that he is so in love with his brothers - i think it's gorgeous! never ceases to amaze me how much babies are attracted to other little kids and want to watch them so much.
sigh - can hear the poppet - will update on us later
Ok... think I've got about 5 mins before the midget is up for the day...
I know, I know, I say it every time I post, but I'm so sorry I'm such a slacker. I do love being a part of this group and reading what all these beautiful bubs (and their wonderful Mummies) are up to. I just often get so overwhelmed by how much has been posted that I can't get my head together for persies and give up before I've even begun. I have far more success on FB where I can just jot off a quick, specific reply or comment during Ivy's ever shortening naps.
BG - glad you had fun at the meet yesterday. Sounds like E is a great traveller. Did she enjoy checking out all the other kiddlets? Ivy seems fascinated by children and babies. I was going to try and make it but ended up with my Mum here. Met some of those girls last week in Healsville though - they're lovely. Hopefully we can move the meet next week a bit closer to your side of town.
Dammit... one persie and she's awake. So cute though... she's chatting to herself full volume!
Amy - I totally know what you mean about forgetting how tiny the were. I was looking at some video we took of Ivy when she was a few weeks old and it made me cry! I miss my teeny baby! Some days I think one is enough, and then I remember how it feels to hold that tiny, precious little person and I can understand why people keep going back again and again.
SIGH. That's it from me for now... little miss is getting sick of her own company.
Have a great day gals.
Hi Ladies!
Welcome back Shar - congrats on DD
Vic - I might have to seek out some BF necklaces, I have a few tracksuit tops that I wear and Bailey loves to hold the drawstring from the hoody while feeding and it keeps him attached so a necklace should work too!! Anyone know where to get one?
Bridg - your boys sound so cute how much they all love each other. I keep thinking I dont know if I want another (I change my mind constantly), but the thought of Bailey missing out on brothers or sisters makes me want one even just for him
BG - You made me LOL @ the thought of MIL being a fluffy white bunny - although she's so crazy she might try to kill a bunny 'Fatal attraction' style LOL. How rude is the SIL mother and co - sheesh!!
Krystie - how cute re the giggles and laughs - its really is the sweetest sound isn't it
Amy and Kat - three of my IVF mothers group had babies in August and all of them are bigger than what Bailey was at birth, I really struggle to remember my baby was that little (or in fact even smaller), how quickly they grow. Looking back at photo's and video is really freaky already - its like "was he really that small"? Yep, he was TINY, I still have his 00000 clothes which were too big for him at birth LOL
I took Bailey to his first swimming lesson this morning. It was a bit of a disaster LOL. I was trying to time feeds/naps but it all went up the creek as he didn't have a morning sleep so of course was overtired by the time the lesson came. We got there and I gave him a feed in the changing rooms, then he was practically falling asleep, the session was only 30 mins and we didn't even get through half, the poor little man was like a zombie in the pool then cracked the shi** so we got out the pool, got dressed and went home for a sleep - DOH!! I'll try again next week but wake him earlier in the morning so he definately has a morning sleep before we go. On a great note he wasn't fussed by the water! I want him to be used to pools etc so when we go to QLD in Nov he can enjoy the pools with us.
Arrrggggh thats all I can manage, I slept funny and hurt my neck and have a headache as a result, I might take a nap while the little guy is napping
Naomi
Ohhhh, one more thing
Its a year ago TODAY that we got our BFP :bfp: call from our IVF clinic - Yaaaah for us
BG: Must say, I really don't miss being pregnant at all, LOL! And I didn't have to put up with the MS like you did. ;)
Kat: Good to hear from you, mate. Please don't berate yourself about not posting persies much - it is great just to know what's going on with you and Ivy. Oooh, I understand getting emotional over the newborn pics. We didn't take any video of Phoebe when she was brand new, but the photos are enough to get me teary. I think in a year's time I will be really sad that we aren't having any more kids. SIL pointed out what a privilege it is to hold a tiny baby a while ago when she was holding Phoebe, and I really see that now.
Naomi: Wow, swimming lessons. Cool. I'm glad Bailey enjoyed the water. Bummer about the timing with sleeps and all, but I'm sure next time will be better. DH was going to take Natty to swimming lessons this year but somehow the year has slipped away from us... LOL!
Sorry about your neck :( I am lost when I get muscle pains these days, as I love voltaren but you can't have it while BF apparently.
Woohoo @ a year since your BFP!
Poor Natty took a massive stack on our driveway today :( Poor little sausage has mangled her lower lip. It looks really dreadful - swollen and painful and there's some skin still hanging off there that I don't know what to do with... She's been so unhappy. Fortunately though Daddy has been the favourite ever since fathers day, and he's been at home so at least she has had him to snuggle with her when I've had to tend to Phoebe. I keep telling myself that it could have been worse, but she always seems to put her teeth through her lip (this is the worst incident, but there've been others) and it SUCKS because she can't eat or drink without getting upset. Today she has eaten dreadfully - we managed to get her to have half a cupcake and some water after lunch (which she didn't eat - she just cried), and then I cut up a peanut butter sandwich into really small pieces for her dinner. We have persuaded her to have a bath and then she can have strawberries and custard. LOL, dreadful parents - not a vegetable in sight.
Didn't sleep well last night. Which sucks, cause Phoebe didn't wake up til 5:30 this morning. And seeing Natty so upset has been really draining. Hoping that both girls sleep well tonight... :crossfingers:
Same here I had voltaren after c/s.
Hope Natty feels better soon Amy.
Ouch Amy - poor Natty, I hope she heals up soon - if I was her I'd be eating all the cupcakes I could LOL
Cool! If they give it to you post c/s then it must be fine. I will bear it in mind for next muscle ache ;) (Now I probably wont get one, LOL!)
Thanks girls, I'm hoping she'll be fine tomorrow. It is just very sad. She kissed me goodnight (and I was trying to be soooooo careful) and I said goodnight, have a good sleep and your mouth should feel better in the morning. And she sighed and said, "Hope my mouth is better in the morning". :( My poor baby. She didn't even want her strawbs and custard.
My other baby is already asleep!!! She's been asleep for half an hour!!! And it starts with a 7!!!
Hey all :)
Agh, had a CRAP night last night. Woke at 2:30 leaking everywhere... all over our lovely new sheets. *Sigh* So got up, changed top, pumped a bit off, back into bed. Then Phoebe woke at 3:30. Fed her. Back to bed at 4-ish. Stupid white-faced heron (nesting in a big tree next to our driveway) shrieks and carries on around 4:30. Then I get really cold and have to put my long-sleeve top on at 5:30. Then Phoebe wakes at 6. Blimey.
Natty at least is in very fine spirits today. Such a relief. We have actually had quite a good day today, us girls. Hope you are all ok :)
Hey Girls
Cara has been really fussy lately. Waking up heaps during the night!! I'm sooo tired!
She is getting SO long and big now...fits into size 0!!! Hardly fits into any 00s any more (unless a dress or jumpsuit with feet cut off).
Went to best n less this week and bought up big. Some cute outfits there.
Coles has these great dummy/teat holders! They hold 2 dummies and attach to your pram or whatever..so cool!! I bought two!! I lost one yesterday though. (along with my mobile phone!) Not a good day...don't ask!! My 3 year old was screaming the shopping centre down and I was so angry with her, I dropped my mobile and forgot to pick it up in car park. :(
Gotta go..Miss Cara needs a sleep. Hope you're all well!
Oh, sorry things are a bit rough atm, Cathy. Bugger @ losing the mobile. I lost mine a couple of months ago - it sucks! There are numbers in there that I've lost forever.
Wow, sounds like Cara really is getting big! Phoebe is in 00s - she is much bigger than Natty was. Sometimes I look at her and think, my goodness, you have such an enormous head! LOL!
Oooh Amy it must have been a full moon as Bailey fed 2 hourly last night - DOH, (Cathy I hear your pain mate) I was pretty shattered this morning as was still carrying my headache so it was a tough one, was nearly going to ask DH to take a family day this morning, but as I was actually asleep when he went to work it was too late haahaha. Luckily my headache has finally left me this arvo so feeling normal again :) But I skipped my mothers group and took it easy. We had to take the trailer back to the IL today and I invited the MIL to come to our swimming lesson next week - LOL, what was I thinking? Nah I am trying to do the right thing - hopefully its an enjoyable day for her and us :)
My maid of honour had her bub this morning - they were supposed to come over for tea tonight - what is it about me cooking that makes babies arrive LOL? She is 8 weeks early though, but her son is doing well, he is 5 lbs which is a great size for that gestational age - he is in the NICU as needs help with breathing but I understand thats the only current issue so hopefully it stays that way. She had to have a CS as was measuring 41 weeks as had an abnormal amount of amniotic fluid ( have forgotton what the condition is called) so the baby probably would never have engaged anyway. But her waters broke last night. I am so happy for her as she had a m/c last year (our babies were due 5 weeks apart) and has had a tough pg - gest diabeties and this amniotic fluid issue so glad her bub is here safe and sound. They named him Campbell Robert - what a distinguised name!! Love it!!
Funny story though - Of our Wedding party of 8, 7 of us are now all parents, and of firstborn sons. Only my brother is left so I must call him and tell him his firstborn will be a boy, LOL The other two bridesmaids had boys too - crazy, Hopefully we will all have some girls next time around
Naomi

BTW - Bailey is still in 000 and likely to be for at least a few more weeks to a month, he must be the runt of our litter LOL :)
e is still in 000 too!
