Evening all.
Amy- Sorry to hear about Natty's stack. Glad she is much better today though. Sorry u had a crap night. Fingers crossed tonight is a better one.
Cathy- Bugger about losing ur phone. Have u tried to ring it and see if anyone answers?
Naomi- Congrats to ur friend! 5lb is a very good size for a bub that prem. Bugger about the headache, but good to hear u took it easy today.
AFU, Well I took Logan to the MCHN today as I was curious how much he weighed and how long he is. He is 6410g and 62cm long. He has grown out of his 00 wondersuits, but other 00's still fit (for now).
-
00's here just growing out of his grow suits and i dont have any in bigger sizes :(
-
target brand grow suits are 6bucks this week

Amy: Yeah I know what you mean about Huge Heads hehe..my Laura has the biggest head (as big as my 12 year old!), and huge eyes. She is a "little girl in a big girl's body" as someone suggested to me once. And Cara is going to be similar by the looks of it.
Naomi: Oh yeah..what is going on with these babies waking every 2 hours at night to feed? arghh
Bridg: yeah I rang the mobile, left messages on message bank, and rang shopping centre...no luck.
BG: I just have no energy for shopping any more this week ..and I love a good Target sale..sigh.
Cara is really trying hard to say "Good girl"...it sounds just like it sometimes!! SO cute!
-
Yes, I saw that BG... I only just bought 2 00 wondersuits a week ago  Still, I think they were only $8 each or something, so s'ok.
Naomi: How freaky @ all the firstborn sons among you! Yes, your brother's offspring's gender is now set in stone, LOL! Is he looking at impending fatherhood as yet? If so, be sure not to cook him and his other half dinner until a week or so before bubs is due ;)
Yes, congrats to your friend. That's a great size... maybe the GD is a contributing factor..? Very distinguished name indeed!
Good on you for extending the olive branch to your MIL. I hope it is a good time for you all.
Bridg: Sounds like Logan's going great guns :)
Phoebe is only just transitioning to the 00s, so still plenty of room here. Actually, today she was wearing a 000 top and it was ok. But bonds 000 is def too small. DH dressed her in a 000 long-sleeved bodysuit yesterday (one that clips up @ the crotch) and it kept slipping off her shoulder, LOL! It looked hilarious because she wasn't wearing a singlet (due to weeing all over her jarmies, singlet and sleeping bag) so it looked like she was wearing an off-the-shoulder number.
Ah, I am so uncertain as to what to do next year. I have had to re-enroll Natty at her childcare (which is fine, cause she'd be going to pre-school anyway) and I think I am going to put Phoebe on a waiting list. I would love to not go back to work until she is 12mo, but I don't think we're going to manage it. Fact is, once the maternity allowance runs out we're going to be really struggling.
I have a couple of subjects to finish my massage course and even then I don't know what work I'll get cause I can't register with the major health funds until I get my diploma... Which I'm not intending to get tbh. It is very hard not to get stressed, particularly as DH is soooooo stressed about his business atm too.
I am so sad at the thought of leaving her.

Jacinta- Im with BG. $6 at Target, cant go wrong. If I had some spares, Id send u some.
BG- Yep! Me going to Target tomorrow. I have a g/f who is having a surprise baby shower on Saturday, so need to buy a pressie.
Cathy- Logan has a big head, but I think its more to do with the fact Leigh and his Dad have big heads. Fingers crossed ur phone turns up.
Amy- I can just picture the off the shoulder look! Hugs to u re not knowing what to do next year. Id love to babysit, but I myself will be putting in some serious work into my course, seeings as though I havent done much this year.
Naomi- GL with swimming with the MIL. Hopefully she behaves herself.

Hi Girls,
Jemima is in mostly 000's with some of the 0000's still fitting her, just probably cos they were huge 0000's or they don't have feet in or something. I am starting to put her in a few 00's but mostly cos i want to put some of her cute new clothes. Her Nan in the UK sends me stuff ever 2wks or so ( 1st grandchild) and so she has some really pretty stuff. I went to Trade Secret yest to get her a few all in ones with no sleeves cos it is getting really hot up here (31degrees couple of days ago) and bought alot of marquise stuff which is really nice and alot of them were 2 for 12 dollars too. I realised this morning that in my desire to see her in a one of her new little nighties ( all open at the bottom so you can get at nappy without opening buttons) that I may have just upgraded her a little too quickly. oh well.
Cathy & Naomi - I am with you with the night time active babies.... Jemima woke up on the trip from the car last night after the BAC group I went to (birth after caesar) so that was 12, then woke for a drink at 3 then 6...... soo sleepy. She is sleeping now and she has been naping during the day. I am seriously going to have to get commited to going to be earlier. I just really enjoy that short time where I get to be on my own that it is hard to go to bed early... ie b4 1030. but i am gonna have to cos it is really catching up on me at the moment.
Hope all you lovely ladies are well and bubbies are peaceful.
Bella

Hmmmmmm ..............Bailey seems so grumpy and unsettled lately - I seem to have lost my smiley happy boy, he doesn't even talk and yabber like he was a few weeks ago, certainly not as easily as he did before, even my crazy singing barely amuses him atm - its really coincided with the fussy feeding and its making me wonder if he just simply isn't getting enough to eat. ATM about an hour after he wakes from sleeps he is fine, but then goes downhill quickly and is usually awake for another stressful/grissly or flatout hysterical hour before finally going to sleep. I have tried feeding him more frequently in case he is hungry but he just fusses about and really takes anything extra anyway. I've given him a bottle a few times and it seems to work - last night he wouldn't take the boob AT all before bed but drank 180mls from the bottle. The first thing I am thinking as a BF mum is my supply - DOH!!
I am taking him to the CYH on monday for a weigh/measure and chat so hopefully they can help. Its like we are having a really bad wonder-fortnight instead of a wonder week........ By the time DH gets home at 330ish, its practically the arsenic hour until Bailey goes to sleep around 6ish, so DH then gets grumpy and I have 2 grumpy boys on my hands - DOH
-
Naomi- Im so sorry to hear Bailey is having feeding troubles. Normally the saying is "a way to a mans heart is through his stomach". Have u thought about expressing and giving the ebm from a bottle, that way u will know how much he is drinking, and also how much milk ur producing? Sorry I cant be of any more help.
-
jamie got his 4 month needles today he screamed again but stopped in about 2 mins hes fine now back to normal
-
Jacinta- Glad to hear Jamie was a tough cookie getting his needles. I have a 00 cotton all in one suit that doesnt fit Logan anymore. Its yellow with ducks on it, and is really cute. If u would like me to send it to u, Id be more than happy to.
-
thanx bridg but its all good he'll be fine

Naomi we're going through a bit of a rough patch too, and so are several of the bubs in my Mother's group who are the same age. Increased wind, fussy feeding, disrupted sleep... aarrggghh where did my 'easy' baby go? Ivy has been sleeping through for about 6 weeks and last night was awake and crying every 20 mins 'till 2am. Really distressed, poor little tyke. There was nothing I could do for her but cuddle her and rock her as she wailed (which wears VERY thin, esp. when Daddy is sleeping peacefully through the whole saga).
I'm not sure what it's all about but think that it's interesting that quite a few seem to be going a bit funny at the same age. Maybe it's changes in the gut in preparation for solids or little teeth moving around under the gums??? Who knows. I just hope it passes soon. I want my happy little girl back.
Hope that Bailey is much happier in the next few days and returns to his chatty self. xoxoxo

Girls, sorry about the fussy babies :( It is really hard having an unhappy baby.
Naomi, just to reassure you: your supply is fine. Probably Bailey takes the bottle cause it is much easier when he's tired, KWIM? All he needs to do is open up and give a half-hearted suck and he gets instant results. On the boob he's got to attach properly and use deeper jaw muscles to get the good stuff. Plus in the evenings the good stuff might take a little while to let down and he probably gets impatient. Don't doubt yourself, babe. (Course having said that, if you want to give him a FF before bed, I doubt your supply would suffer too much while he is still feeding overnight... but that's JMO and I'm not an ABA councellor ;) )
Kat: I know how frustrating it is to deal with baby meltdowns overnight while DH sleeps peacefully. Mine never wakes unless he's not sleeping for some other reason. It can be a lonely time in the middle of the night.
I hope your little ones are back to their happy selves soon.
Bella: Bummer that J had a wakeful night last night. Hope she gives you some good rest tonight.
Bridg: Thanks for the babysitting offer, LOL! Might be a tad out of the way to go to work via Victoria, PMSL! What course are you studying?
Jacinta: Have you seen those laughing Elmo arm chairs? I'm not an Elmo fan, but even I thought the chairs were cute(ish) ;) What present did you get for J that you're going to cave and give him? I am hopeless too - last year I tried to get pressies for Natty through the year cause her birthday's so close to Christmas, but I tended just to give them to her when I bought them
Looked after my nephew this morning for a couple of hours along with the girls. He was brilliant but Natty was PAINFUL! She was so jealous. She's rarely like that with Phoebe, thank heavens.
