    in love. lots of it.
    697

gee, there was a time not so long ago that I was the bb-babbler and only Jess could out-babble me... but time gets away from me so easily now! I have been having The Nights From Hell, followed by The Mornings From Hell, followed by The Afternoon From Hell, followed by the same thing again. Would anyone like a monster-bebe? I have one going cheap. Just in time for Christmas?! hmm.. I'm kidding, really I am. Or am I?
Seriously, why did DS have to learn to crawl? And now he's figured out that he can get from sitting upright to onto his hands and knees and crawling out the door in less time than it takes me to go to the toilet! And considering I thought myself to be pretty efficient in that regards (having had 35 seconds to myself in 6 months...) that's a bit frightening.
We've been having such a hard time getting him to sleep at night. He goes to bed easily, after a bit of fuss, then wakes up every few minutes for an hour or more. Every time, he screams and cries and carries on like a pork chop till he's hyperventilating, but as soon as you pick him up he laughs and wiggles like a demon child. And then he does it again 3 hours later, and then 2 hours after that. This morning at 4:45 I was standing in the rain with DS in his pram, bringing the washing in off the clothesline. He was squealing with joy the whole time!! mental... then today at the shopping centre he starts squealing and screeching like I'm torturing him. OK, the muzak was pretty awful, but still... He's also decided to drop his morning nap, so all in all, I LOOK LIKE DEATH.
I wont even start on what state my house is in.

Um, blood test results... "something viral" is all the Dr could put it down to. Vaccinations is my diagnosis, and I'm sticking to that. Dr tended to agree with me, which was surprising. But DS is otherwise a healthy, happy, bouncing baby until he's hit with half a dozen live viruses in one hit. No wonder his immune system went haywire.

So aside from all this mayhem and chaos, I've been manically trying to get stuff sorted for our holiday, along with all the cancellation and insurance BS from our trip to Africa that isn't happening. It's depressing, the idiocy and incompetency you get from some people, and they have absolutely no excuse. If I can still remain coherent on the phone after no sleep and while being beaten about the head by a boofhead baby, there's no reason some dipstick airline employee can't process a simple request for a standard form. oh, but that's another thread isn't it? argh.

Enough about me and my mess.

Jess - OMG, you poor thing! That's so upsetting... I would have given DP a smack and sent him to bed without dinner. Yes, DP! I probably would have tied DS to the clothes line and hosed him down. I hope Tiahna's finger is ok, poor little chicken. Sent you a msg on facebook about all the other stuff. Be safe, yeah?

Bec - I just gave DS the avocado out of my sushi roll, being careful not to get any mayo on it. I mashed it up on my plate, and DP freaked coz he thought I was giving DS wasabi!! hey, now there's a thought... ooh stop that NaNa! wicked mummy!! I have just given him porridge (oats and millet), sweet potato, apple, apricots, cucumber, melon, broccoli, peach, zucchini, potato, carrots, pumpkin and some other stuff, I can't remember now... argh braindead... he loves green foods. But it all stinks at the other end, especially when he doesn't go for 24 hours (ARGH! TMI!!). I got him one of those "chewy sacks" (I'm going to call it a Munchkin coz that's what it says on the side of it!) but I made sure I got one that was green, not blue, because I don't want him to associate blue with food! Food is not blue, naturally, and maybe I'm being paranoid, but I've seen what kids are like after eating things artificially coloured blue *shudder*. Anyway, DS hates apple and pumpkin. He screws up his face and shudders like it's poison. I'll try some other stuff gradually, and I'm looking forward to getting up to QLD to give him some fruit and vegies that are home-grown by my mum and step-dad. He has avocado trees!
Glad you had a nice night out, and Cameron was so well-behaved! Wanna swap??

Sassy - Happy belated birthday (again! lol) I hope you're not too let down about the presents from your DH. See, now that's why I cancelled my birthday all these years! Technically, I'm still only 19 since I haven't had a decent birthday in that many years... Will you do something to treat yourself? I really hope things feel better with the AD meds and you can get back to yourself again!

Oh no, DS is screaming again... BBL! So sorry I prattled on so much already!

NaNa I am sorry to hear that Aadi is giving you a rough time. Its always worse when they have been good for so long and then out of no where they go feral. I hope things calm down for you soon. WOW at Aadi crawling and getting into sitting position, what a star.

Jess Excellent news on Tiahna taking the formula (not warmed even) thats a weight off your mind if you cant BF somewhere and she is due to eat.

Well Liam is doing fab. He has now been to MIL and mums whilst DH and I are at work and has settled in no worries. They arent used to having the 2 boys for a whole day though so they were both pretty tired LOL, welcome to my world.
Jordan and I have come down with colds (and its summer or meant to be) He hates having a runny nose so we are forever battling to wipe it for him (he wont do it or blow his nose) Liam is still rolling everywhere, not quite crawling but dont think he is too far off.
He is down to 4 feeds a day and 3 solids which is perfect. I am thinking of trying to cut out the roll over feed in the new year and see how he goes. If I can get rid off the afternoon BF i wont have to express anymore and that will be bliss
SO off to work team dinner tonight for xmas, thai food YUMMY. DH will have boys to himself tonight but he will be fine, all housework done he will only need to feed bath and put to bed.
    take care everyone

    Hi ladies

Jess i did not mean that you need help like that i meant maybe while jordan is at daycare (not sure i think he is still going) Maybe get someone to have tiahna for you so you can have a little YOU time. My dh has been giving me this lately and it makes me feel better. Also i can't do everything my house isn't always tidy and i am lucky my dh does alot as well. Just remember that you are human and its not easy to be a stay at home mum, i sometimes think it would be easier going to work, cause as long as you leave the house tidy in the morning then it will be still tidy when you get home cause there is no one there to mess it up!!! WTF i would have gone off if that was my dh, sorry but that really aggravates me, he now realises that that is his time to watch th kids.I hope that her finger feels better soon:-) I cant believe you got into trouble for bf in the food court What the???? its a natural part of life and its not like you are walking around with them hanging out or anything, some people just don't think somethimes.

Bec my dh would come in with me when i was bf too, although i used to use a cubical(sp) and he was in there with me.

Nana sorry to hear about bubs being a nightmare, hopefully its just a stageand he snaps out of it soon. Wow on the crawling sitting up and crawling again abbie is not even sitting up properly yet and not even crawling at all. Although she does roll from one end of the lounge to the other amazing!!! Glad that the blood test results turned out ok.

Deancy glad to hear that you are all well except for the colds aren't they a pain. Have fun tonight and its great new that the boys are settled while you are both at work!!!

Ok well where do i start we had a great day today we wen't to the park this morning the boys had a blast, then in the car we went to the shops to do the last of the christmas shopping. My plan worked great Lachlan (2) hates going to the shops (don't blame him if i was 2 i would hate shops too) so anyway he fell asleep after a great play at the shops and slept the entire time at the shops only woke up when i got him out of the pram to go back into the car. When we got home we were going to go for a swim so i got dressed got the kids dressed and started putting suncream on so i put abbie in her high chair right next to me, i did not strap her in (BIG MISTAKE)..... My high chair has a small tray on in which does not come off and a large tray that snaps ontop. well she must of been leaning forward and the small tray ( which does not come off) SNAPPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Abbie fell out of the high chair right at my feet ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she hardly cried i picked her straight up and she stopped what a relief i can not belive that it happened i feel soooooooooooooo bad . After we got out of the pool i saw that she has a 5cm bruise on her fore arm i am pretty sure that its ok if it swells up too much i will take her to the doctor but when i put her on the floor she still pushes up on both arms and still uses the arm so i pretty sure its not broken or anything, i just feel sooooooooo bad right at my feet it happened, i will always be strapping her in from now on i am so stupid for not doing it.

I hope everyone is having a great day hi to anyone i missed

NaNa- Thanks for the FB msg... Ur a gem.... Sounds like your having your own probs... Sorry to hear Aadi is giving you grief. I hear you about the crawling.... I cant look away with out DD getting into something... wheni need to go to the toilet i have to put DD in her cot and put a TV show on for DS so i know that he wont touch her and she wont get into things. Its a chore having to go... dont get me started on showers and as you all know cooking doesnt go well either...
They told me DS's rash thing was something viral also... is it all cleared up now??.... Hopefully you'll have a beautiful holiday in Qld. Christmas will be hectic here with DP working all but chrissy day and new yrs day... So hopefully he can get a week or 2 off sometime next yr.

Deancey- good to see you in here... Glad to hear Liam is going well... WOW on the 3 solid feeds... My god i feel like i feed all day still... Hope you and jordan get better... i hate colds in summer... wish my DP could watch the kids like that... no one is willing to have Tiahna for more then 5 mins cos she's too clingy and sooky for me... I keep telling them she will never learn unless we make her.

LMK- My DP has never had more then 5 mons alone with the kids... he pretty much is lost without me close by. MIL was a working mum and DP sees SAHMs as a luxury and "not a job" his mentality is "at least you can sit down and play with the kids and not have somone telling you what to do and have a set time to do it... like WTF... I have 2 people ordering me around all day... Hope Abbie is ok... Must have been scarey for you both

Well i could B!&#H all day... time to put the kids to bed and i'm heading for an early shower and bed... Might even find time to shave my legs and do a quick facial...

Mis- Glad to have you back... I replied to your other thread about the boob refusal. Also with DS's constipation have you stopped all solids??? I find when DD is backed up i have to stop all solids and try the diluted prune juice or the brown sugar in water (or coloxyl drops) Do you know what foods causing the constipation??? what are you feeding him??? I have to stick with either veges or fruit or DD gets blocked... I tried baby weetbix like 1/3 of a bix added some pured pears and she got so blocked up... She likes this jar with sultanas figs and oatmeal so i do that for breakie or the pured pears or apple.. Althoughapple can also cause a back up. if i give her the apple custard she's sure to go that day if not the next for sure... I heard a GREAT saying from your thread about the refusal... "food is fun until there one" i think thats fantastic... Something to keep in mind if DS keeps having issues...

Well last night i tried DD on an Avo... I put in on the Hi- chair and she helpedherself but she didnt like it... LOL... Pulled funny faces, shuddered... She had fun mushing it between her fingers and rubbing it into her clothes and face... I tell you i need a plastic suit foir those times...

Well best be off time for wetfields to finnish my chrissy Shopping... Wish me luck... Its going to be hectic

jess: sorry to hear u dont get much help. My Dh isnt that bad he will do things just complains about it ALOT first. because i work from home he doesnt see it as a real job so thinks i am at home all day even though i am in a dif area to our living area.
How is DD's finger this morning? it didnt go too deep did it. as i was reading it i was cringing and thinking about it makes me feel sick. i cant watch any movies like saw or anythign cause i feel every crack or cut.

Mis: glad things r getting sorted out even if it is slowly. jayda is doign the rocking aswell, she just started commando crawling so that is fun lol.

nana:sorry u r having such a bad time with sleep. i am crossing my fingers that jayda stays good.

Jayda has never really slept much through the day but now she is getting grumpy i am guessing teeth she had a 2hr sleep yesterday adn just seemed to wanna sleep/be held all day. even though she is having very unsettled days she is great at night.
well last ngiht DH had to get up cause she had a arm and leg stuck. the little poo has learnt how to push the air wrap down and how to undo the one that is on the side that goes up and down. i went int he other mornign and she was all wrapped up in it.

    Hi All,

Mis - Sounds like you got a healthy bubba. Maybe an idea for Stanky's constipation - if your still breast feeding, I find if I take metamucil it seems to help if Cameron is a little constipated - It definitely works for us, the colour of the result speak for themselves IYKWIM. on forced leave - have fun spending more time with your Stanky.

Jess - Did you get yourself an early night? I hope you did. Also hope Tiahna's finger is getting better. Maybe next time DH is on holidays you might need to have an appointment you need to go to all day (or even 2) where you can't take the kids and let him see what its like to look after them and what he gets done during the day. My DH looked after Cameron from Friday night to all of Saturday, and found that exhausting - but he went out on the Saturday (to a friends house) so he didn't get the full effect of what it is like when at home with housework and nobody to amuse Cameron except himself.

NaNa - Sorry your having a hard time with Aadi sleeping. Hope it improves soon for you's. Cameron went through a little faze like that with the crying then laughing when picked him up at the night bed time, it only lasted a week for us though, so hopefully it will be the same for you Yay and oh no on the crawling. It's one of those bitter sweet moments hey, that they've achieved something, but now can't take your eyes off him.

Deancey - I hope your colds subside quickly - I usually get a cold at the change of weather (like the other week when it kept going from hot to cold to hot again). Did you have a nice xmas work dinner? How did your DH go with looking after the boys, hope they were well behaved (sounds like they would've been).

Nikki - How's Abbie? Bet her bruise looks worse today though. We had an incident a few weeks ago when my mum tried to put Cameron in his hichair and kinda scrapped his leg on the tray, the bruise looked worse the next day and seemed to take forever to disappear (poor mum felt so bad - bought her to tears). I also don't always strap Cameron in, especially when I'm sitting right there with him, but will start to now I think. How scary.

Sassy - Sorry you too are getting sick. Hope you feel better soon. IKWYM about the heat, I was sweating when I woke up this morning. It's meant to be even hotter tomorrow. Cheeky Jayda pulling the air wrap off - Cameron also puts his arms and legs on over and on top of his wrap, but thankfully hasn't worked out how to undo it...yet....

Well Cameron's second tooth is coming through. It seems to be different to the first one, as that one did a full cut and seemed to come up all at once, where as this one seems to be coming through slowly with the little grooves on top of the tooth poking through one by one (it's hard to explain but I hope you understand what I mean). He has been sleeping much better over the last few nights, so that tooth must have been bothering him.

Cameron is onto 3 solids and 4 bf's a day. When he wakes, back to between 6-7am again, we do a bf, then 30mins later I give cereal (using that farex with the pear and banana), then he gets fruit about 10.30 (after his morning sleep), then do a bf about 30mins after that. Then he gets another bf about 2 or 3pm depending when he wakes up from his lunch time sleep (which lately has been for about 2hrs), then usually stays awake til I do the vegies (and for the last few days beef and vegies) about 5ish, give him a bath, do another bf about 6-6.30 then he is in bed by 6.30- 7. It seems to be working out well and if DH finishes work on time gets a little cuddle time before Cameron goes to bed (if not I leave a little night light on for him to go give Cameron a kiss goodnight).

Cameron is almost crawling. He does a 2 knee crawl, then falls on his belly to use his arms to pull himself forward, but he is starting to work out how to move his arms too, so I reakon he'll be crawling any day now Have to start looking for a play pen I think, as we have a dog and a doggy door, and I can just see Cameron trying to follow our dog out there one day if I'm not quick enough (we have a 2 story house). I can't block off the lounge room to the kitchen where the doggy door is and our dog is definitely an inside dog (she was our first baby).

Well I'm sweating still, might see if I can squeeze in a quick swim before Cameron wakes.

Have a good day, I'll possibly pop back later.

    Bye for now

    Hi ladies

Bec abbies arm actually looks better today then yesterday, i still feel really bad but its not bothering her. Hope you got your swim in i think we might get in this afternoon, its hot enough. Yeah on cameron nearly crawling, abbie was trying to get up on her knees last night and she keeps pushing herself backwards till she hits and gets stuck

Sassy abbie is the same at jayda if she is grumpy during the day she still sleeps excellent at night time, abbie also is not a big sleeper during the day just really naps but is fully recharged after a nap. Its hot here today too, i hope that you feel better soon and take care of yourself. I know what you mean my dh does not look at my job as a REAL job, argh it makes me angry really i have three fulltime jobs, housework, family daycare, my own children.

Jess i hope you have a great time shopping hopeully not too many people!

mis tree i hope that bubs constipation works it self out soon does it hurt him does he cry if not maybe its just his way of pooing???? Afternoon Mummas, Well The shops werent too bad... i got in early and picked up laybys 1st then had a squiz around... Then the crouds started getting to me so i split... On the drive hom i saw all these fire trucks and could hear sirens... I found out a plan crashed the suburb over from us... Poor pilot and pasenger died... Scary...

I have few things i still need to get but this yr i havent gone overboard... Just a few pressies and thats it... Jordan has way too much as it is. I feel slack cos i'm used to a HUGE christmas but they'll get heaps from MIL and FIL anyways.

DD's finger is getting better... DS took a fair chunk off but thankfully its healing up ok now. Her 1st boo boo...
She was great at the shops for most of it... I hadher sitting up in a trolley and she was ok until she started getting tired and i went to the Parents room to feed her and was so annoyed to see a group of mums having a freakin mothers meeting in there.... None of them were feeding just using the seats and cubicle so i stood there and waited... DD started screaming and the group of 6 were like "oh sorry do you need to feed" i felt like saying "yeah thats what the cubicles are for... i dont get why people want to hang out in the parent room... i mean go to the food court if you wann eat your lunch and talk to frineds about your babies... Me i like to get in do what i need to and get the hell out... I occasionally feed in the food court but hate the stares... i'm quite *****y nowadays. i end up yelling out to people watching or staring or commenting to each other...

I also hate the comments that start out... Oh she's so cute how old is she" i tell them and get "gosh she's big for her age" i mean if i had a chubber baby i'd be freaking out that she was HUGE... Just like that poor baby on the news and the ABC daycare incident...Its like people dont know what to say..

Sorry for the b!%$&... Last night we didnt get an early night but she did sleep fairly well for her... in bed at 11 then woke at 3 and woke at 5 then 8.30... so EXCELLENT for her...

Sass- I think i have to put my cot down already... I have 2 height adjustments... DD has started trying to pull herself up to look over the side... i'm worried she may climb up soon and fall out...

Mis- maybe stop the solids for a bit to get him going again... also bec's suggestion of metimucil is a good one...

Bec- Cam sounds like a gen... i've been doing the fruit at lunch time aswell... DD is loving nectarines and peaches. i put them in the chew net. so i guess we are doing 2-3 solids a day... still doing lots of BFs though... yesterday after the formula she was a bit spewy but slept well... today however i tried EBM in the same bottle and NOPE... wanted nothing to do with it... its so hit and miss...

Nikki- Glad abbie's arm is looking better. YAY on abbie getting up on her knees... DD is still doing the same weird unco looking crawl thing... Its great when they start showing signs but you soon start thinking... "why did you have to learn... LOL
