    Hi All,

Wow it's quite in here again. Everyone must either be busy with xmas stuff or hopefully not - just stuffed (from bad nights that people seem to be having lately).

Not much happening here. Cameron had his needles yesterday. All went ok, he barely screamed (well they seem to be getting less each time). Thank goodness that's it for another 6months now. He hasn't seemed to react to it either which I'm so glad (we've been so lucky I guess with not having any side effects from the needles so far..touch wood). We also checked his weight again, he is now 7.7kg. Which means he has put on 400gms in 2 weeks..woohoo !!! I was wondering if I'd done the wrong thing by cutting the bf's down to 4 a day, but obviously I had nothing to worry about.

We went to check out the christmas lights on the Gold Coast last night...very disappointing. We went to the street that had won the best street lighting award, it was crap, there was only about 2 houses that had lights on (maybe they'd forgotten to turn them on, but it was the last weekend before xmas, how could they forget???). There was another street that didn't win that was all lit up, so at least there was something to see. But overall they were not as good as previous years. Good thing Cameron was asleep in the car (wasn't even worth getting out to see either). Maybe next year will be better or we might even go check out the Brisbane ones to be on the safe side (I figure they may be a little better).

Well that's all for me for now. Off to battle the shops (or possibly the markets) as I realised I haven't gotten our animals there xmas presents (here I was saying how organised I was...silly me )

    Bye for now

Mis T - I hope everything is ok, i am here if you need to talk (facebook) if you need. merry christmas to you and i hope the new year brings you everything you deserve and you and stank have a great festive season together. I am sure we will chat on fb though.

Bec - it is quite in here. Everyone must be busy with xmas. Good to hear Camerons needles went well and he is mantaining a healthy weight gain.

NaNa - i know she will love the laptop, if she doesn't i will be happy with it.lol How is the holiday going? Have you had any child free time yet?

Jess - party went well. only had 15 kids in the end, but they are a great bunch and all behaved themselves. I had a nightmare with Hamish shopping too, he is always so good but his mouth was driving him crazy and i forgot to bring sm33 so i ducked into chemist and bought some more but it sisnt last long so i ended up going home, so i am not quite finished yet need to go back tomorrow

LMk - sounds like abbie is a good sleeper for you, i have been keeping a diary of sleep and food etc and hamish has had 5 nights in 4 months that he has woken during the night, i was shocked as it seems alot more because 4 of them have been recent with his teeth. So i really have nothing to whinge about when it comes to sleep issues.

Have not alot to mention, we have had a pretty quite weekend just cleaning and getting ready for xmas. We are having breakfast at mums christmas morning, lunch at my sisters and dinner aswell. THen boxing day we are having a huge seafood feast at muMand dads when my sis (from melbourne) and brother (from Kalgoorlie) will be here. My brother suprised us and arrived yesterday, i hadnt seen him for over 12 months so it was great to see him and he had not met Hamish yet so it was a fantastic suprise, we look forward to spending some time with him and his boys over next week.
What have you all got planned for Christmas?
Dp is off Christmas eve until 12th Jan so we are planning on staying in Echuca with his family for a week or so.
Ok i best go to bed before i fall asleep on laptop.

It's 10:56pm Yasmeenia is asleep. I am home alone waiting for DH. He is with friends. I seriously hate when I am by myself. This morning we went out to buy couches but came back home empty handed. We figured we might get good deals next week. I was a little disappointed because I was looking forward to having new lounge. Yasmeenia was excellent this morning. She has become very selectively at who she smiles and talks too. She sits without my assistance. She has 2 meals a day. At one stage it was 3 meals a day. I am still breastfeeding her. I am relaxing with her during the day and it is wonderful not having to worry about assignments or exams. However, this summer I will be taking a unit externally. Which is okay because it won't be hard work but I do have to sit for a exam in Feburary for it. Classes should start soon. Sometime in January. Next semester I will be attending campus for some units (3) and taking 2 off-campus. My goal is to complete my degree mid-year. I will be very busy. I am blessed as I have my DH's support. I just hope all goes well for next semester. I am thinking about placing her in childcare for 6-9 hours per week or less. By Feburary she will be 9 months. And DH can pick her up after he finishes work. Or if possible take her with me to my lectures when she is 12 months. Has anyone sent their DS/DD to child-care or is thinking about it soon? It's 11:07pm now, I should be getting to bed, but can't sleep without having DH in bed with me.

Someone once mentioned how strange it was to have fathers' in the parenting rooms whilst breastfeeding. I went to two shopping centres this week, both had private rooms where mothers can breastfeed their baby. The shopping centre I went to today, I only saw two father's with their children. I too would be uncomfortable if I had to breastfeed so openly in front of another man. Got to love those private rooms.

Mis- Hope you and Stank Have a good chrissy and Hope the new year is filled with happiness and joy and hope that you sort things out... I know its important to take time for the 2 of you... Take care hope you pop back in later when things are ok...

NaNa- YAY sounds like the change of scenary is really helping... YAY Aadi on the sleeping... Hope you get a few more nights then i did...

Abb- glad the night went well for you and the girls were well behaved.

    Hi ladies

Well we had an ok weekend, saturday we went and finished our christmas shopping what a NIGHTMARE!!! Lachlan was in a mood and the shops were packed, so we took him to my mums and left the kids there while we finished much easier. Then we had dh christmas party that night it was great really good night. Yesterday we had christmas with my dad at his house another good day. Then we came home and dh had a massive fight with his mother and she siad some pretty nasty stuff to him, poor thing all over christmas cause she does not want to come to our house she wants it at her house. ARGH she makes me sooooo angry, all she wants is everyone over there doing everything for her and so then it makes the entire day abourt her and her way!! I don't think so, i am not giving in she is so childish it makes me sick. Oh well its her loss. Abbie has been really good she is just about sitting up by herself, i still put pillows behind her but i don't think i will have to for much longer.

Jess sorry the hear that tiahnas not sleeping through but atleast you know that she can do it. Its a start!!

Mis tre i added you to my facebook have a great christmas and new years and hope to see you back soon!

girl 22 good luck with all that study hope you get it finished!

Bec yeah on the weight gain, i too was worried about abbie's weight gain because she is not as big as the boys were but she is right on track as well!!! So sorry to hear about your friend with cancer its a horrible thing to go through and i hope that she makes a full and speedy recovery, thinking of her!

Well i hope that everyone has a great day and hi to everyone else.

    Hi All,

Mis - Sorry to see you won't be popping in for a while - I love your funny comments, they will be missed. Hope everything works out for you and Stanky, have a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2009.

Nikki - Thank you for your thoughts. Grr on your MIL. Does she live close by to you? It makes so much more sence for you to have chrissie at your place, especially with the 3 children and the pool - We too would prefer to have christmas here and probably will for the next ??? years, so much easier then packing the car and with all the christmas presents they would want to take and play with and the rest of it... You might need to suggest your MIL do a tesol teaching course and send her to China like my MIL (LOL! sorry that's naughty)

Jess - Sorry Tiahna's sleeping right through didn't last, but at least you know she can do it, so hopefully she'll start to do it occassionally for you and one day soon make it a regular habit. Glad Tiahna was a good girl while you were out. IKWYM about forgetting time and forgetting to feed bubs , especially when they are so well behaved.

Girl22 - Sorry you didn't get your couch yet, but hopefully you'll get an even better one - remember all good things come to those who wait. On the childcare - I've started to arrange childcare for Cameron for next year. I'll be putting Cameron in Thursdays (probably from 9am til 3 or 4pm), from Feb/March (whenever they can get me in) and then Thursday and Fridays (will need to be 8.30ish til 4.30-5ish) from May. I go back to work in May, hoping to go part-time, but thought I'd try to get him use to the childcare thing a little earlier and wanted to make sure I could secure that Thursday place as I can work around every other day with my Mum, who will be looking after him Mondays and if need be Tuesdays.

Abb - Glad the girls were well behaved for you. I think that's also a big pat on the back to you for bringing up a well behaved daughter . Have fun catching up with your siblings. That would've been a great surprise with your brother. My brother surprised me a visit when I had Cameron (as he was living about 5 hours drive away), it was very emotion (he back closer now and probably will be forever cause of Cameron, loves being an Uncle)

As mentioned we are having Christmas here, just my family (Mum, Dad and brother) and FIL (as MIL is overseas), and whoever wants to pop in can - the open invitation is out there. We have lot of family on the Gold Coast, but they've all got their own families now. We will be doing the prawns and oysters thing, plus gotta have the turkey for DH. Think Cam will get to try a bit of the turkey too.

Well we battled the shopping centre again yesterday to get our dog and bird their xmas presents, then did the grocery shopping, but silly me forgot a couple of things so I had to pop down the road to our local woolworths, and boy was it busy. I even had to wait for a park (I've never in the 7 years I've lived here had to wait for a park at those shops). Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything and that should be it now (too bad if I have). Will just tidy the house over the next few days now ready for xmas day.

Well I've really gone out babbling today. Sorry about that , I'm feeling a little tired and tend to babble when tired. Better get an early night tonight then.

    Bye for now,

oh noes Mis_tree! Hope everything sorts itself out beautifully for you and Stanky. Best of luck, hun.

gee, I just popped in to say.... Aadi slept thru last night! And now I'm freaking out that I'll have to move back to Qld to get a decent night's sleep more often than once every 2 months. lol

that's it, back to my mangoes...

    WOOOOHOOOO Aadi Bebe

NaNa- You must feel so refreshed... fingers crossed it continues... I'm thinking it must be QLD... I think a few of you on here from QLD have GREAT sleepers...

NaNa - on Aadi sleeping through. Must be something in the Queensland air like Jess said. Enjoy those mangoes. I love mangoes, Cameron had mango for lunch today, he seems to enjoy it, making mmm noices everytime I've given it too him (he also does that to pumpkin and today when I gave him watermelon in the meshy net thing). Have you given some to Aadi? What does he seem to think of them?

Forgot to ask before, where did you's get the SM-33 from, which chemists seem to stock it. I've looked in Terry White Chemists, but they don't seem to have it, neither does the supermarkets.

Bec i have bought sm33 from healthwise pharmacy and amcal ones here, i am sure they have them in qld. You may have to ask for it as it is not on shef where baby stuff ie bonjela etc is. I have found it where mouth wash etc is.

Thanks Abb - I was wondering if it might be located somewhere else, would've thought TerryWhite would have it - didn't ask today as there was heaps of people waiting.

I had trouble finding it also. It seems to work for Hamish, bonjella is useless for him.

Love the new ticker, Cameron is a cutie.

I can't stand the taste of bonjella myself, yuk (makes me chringe just thinking about it). Not that Cameron would really care, but even the smell bothers me (hope the SM-33 smells a little better). But I would agree I don't think the bonjella is overly that helpful (I know when i've used it on my wisdom teeth it seems to wear away within a matter of minutes).

Thank you Abb, we too think he is cute, but we are a little biased. We do get a lot of comments of how georgous he is. Hamish is a cutie too, and it looks like he would be a rather happy boy too from his pics.

We also get heaps of comments and yes he certainly is a happy boy. Went shopping today and i had quite alot of people coming up and commenting on how cute and happy he is, and also had a lady come up and say your baby is a fatty, i replied pardon as i was unsure what she had said, she repeated herself and i was shocked and just kinda nodded and walked away. It wasn't until a little while later i thought um that was a bit rude, yeah he is chubby but i wouldnt go as far as saying he is a fatty. grrr

    Hi ladies

Bec that is so funny i wish i could sugggest that, it would make life soooo much easier. And yes she lives like a 5 minute drive from us so not far at all. I too went to the shops yesterday and it was not too bad. I am doing my groceries tonight, i hope its not too busy. Oh and sm-33 does not taste good at all but it is the BEST!

Nana Yeah for Aadi sleeping through, hopefully he keeps doing it while you are here and is so used to doing it he does it when you get home!!!! Can only hope.

Abb i don't think that hamish is a fatty he is gorgeous, i know that i used to call cody my litlle fatty but i am his mum, i would never call another persons baby that. Don't be offended some people just don't think. I LOVE chubby bubby's they are gorgeous!!!

So we had another good nights sleep, BUT this whole clingy thing is getting ridiculous If someone else takes her she starts whinging and it turns into REAL TEARS until she is handed back to me then she stops.... Just like that
She is fine if she can't see me, i don't know what to do she even does it with DH!!!
I do like it sometimes but its getting out of hand i hope that its just a phase she is going through.

Sassy how are you going, i hope all is well and talk to yousoon.

Been a bit quiet in here lately i hope that everyone is doing well..
    Take care Nikki

We've have a very sooky little girl on our hands.... These top teeth are really getting to her... Crying real tears... I thought they just hurt while cutting through but it seems they are still causing pain and discomfort... We've has bad poop-splosions also, some nappy rash (although i think it may be the sposies...) I have been using flats for few weeks now during the day. I use them for about 3 changes then go back to sposies... (need to buy some other cloth ones)

Yesterday we had a full on day, speech, medicare and few other things... DD was good then at 4 she was so tired i put her to bed and she slept for 3 1/2 hours then i feed her solids, bathed her she played for a bit then seemed tired still i held her off til 9 when i fed her BB and she went to sleep til 2 then slept til 7 i was so happy... Just wish i had of slept that well...

Bec- I'm having issues getting SM-33 also... I had to special order it in when DD was 4 months but they are out again so the woman said if i wanted her to order it in i need to purchase a box... \

Abb- i wouldnt call Hamish a "Fatty" at all... I think people are rude and just dont think before they speak....

Nikki- Abbie sounds like Tiahna... She wont even go to DP for 2 mins without trying to kick her way free... i'm at my witz end... She still refuses a bottle, wont let DP feed her solids, i try to give her bottles and she screams cos she wants to hold it herself then cries when she cant do it but if you help she squeels and throws a tanty... If she cant see me its the same... And Dp wonder why i cant get everything done in one day... Which is why i have been trying not to get on her too much myself...

Anyways best be off, have more cleaning to do... Have to strapp DD to me just to get things done for chrissy...
