It's 10:56pm Yasmeenia is asleep. I am home alone waiting for DH. He is with friends. I seriously hate when I am by myself. This morning we went out to buy couches but came back home empty handed. We figured we might get good deals next week. I was a little disappointed because I was looking forward to having new lounge. Yasmeenia was excellent this morning. She has become very selectively at who she smiles and talks too. She sits without my assistance. She has 2 meals a day. At one stage it was 3 meals a day. I am still breastfeeding her. I am relaxing with her during the day and it is wonderful not having to worry about assignments or exams. However, this summer I will be taking a unit externally. Which is okay because it won't be hard work but I do have to sit for a exam in Feburary for it. Classes should start soon. Sometime in January. Next semester I will be attending campus for some units (3) and taking 2 off-campus. My goal is to complete my degree mid-year. I will be very busy. I am blessed as I have my DH's support. I just hope all goes well for next semester. I am thinking about placing her in childcare for 6-9 hours per week or less. By Feburary she will be 9 months. And DH can pick her up after he finishes work. Or if possible take her with me to my lectures when she is 12 months. Has anyone sent their DS/DD to child-care or is thinking about it soon? It's 11:07pm now, I should be getting to bed, but can't sleep without having DH in bed with me.

Someone once mentioned how strange it was to have fathers' in the parenting rooms whilst breastfeeding. I went to two shopping centres this week, both had private rooms where mothers can breastfeed their baby. The shopping centre I went to today, I only saw two father's with their children. I too would be uncomfortable if I had to breastfeed so openly in front of another man. Got to love those private rooms.

    Hi ladies

Well we had an ok weekend, saturday we went and finished our christmas shopping what a NIGHTMARE!!! Lachlan was in a mood and the shops were packed, so we took him to my mums and left the kids there while we finished much easier. Then we had dh christmas party that night it was great really good night. Yesterday we had christmas with my dad at his house another good day. Then we came home and dh had a massive fight with his mother and she siad some pretty nasty stuff to him, poor thing all over christmas cause she does not want to come to our house she wants it at her house. ARGH she makes me sooooo angry, all she wants is everyone over there doing everything for her and so then it makes the entire day abourt her and her way!! I don't think so, i am not giving in she is so childish it makes me sick. Oh well its her loss. Abbie has been really good she is just about sitting up by herself, i still put pillows behind her but i don't think i will have to for much longer.

Jess sorry the hear that tiahnas not sleeping through but atleast you know that she can do it. Its a start!!

Mis tre i added you to my facebook have a great christmas and new years and hope to see you back soon!

girl 22 good luck with all that study hope you get it finished!

Abb soundsl ike you are having a great time already, we are staying home for christmas we have a pool and heaps for the kids to do here, and i think its going to be a hot one, lsat week the weather said it was suppose to be 25 degrees on xmas day now they are saying it will be 32degrees so i am expecting it to keep going up! oh well i think its nice we can go swimming all day !!!!!!!!!!!!

Bec yeah on the weight gain, i too was worried about abbie's weight gain because she is not as big as the boys were but she is right on track as well!!! So sorry to hear about your friend with cancer its a horrible thing to go through and i hope that she makes a full and speedy recovery, thinking of her!

Well i hope that everyone has a great day and hi to everyone else.

    Hi All,

Mis - Sorry to see you won't be popping in for a while - I love your funny comments, they will be missed. Hope everything works out for you and Stanky, have a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2009.

Nikki - Thank you for your thoughts. Grr on your MIL. Does she live close by to you? It makes so much more sence for you to have chrissie at your place, especially with the 3 children and the pool - We too would prefer to have christmas here and probably will for the next ??? years, so much easier then packing the car and with all the christmas presents they would want to take and play with and the rest of it... You might need to suggest your MIL do a tesol teaching course and send her to China like my MIL (LOL! sorry that's naughty)

Jess - Sorry Tiahna's sleeping right through didn't last, but at least you know she can do it, so hopefully she'll start to do it occassionally for you and one day soon make it a regular habit. Glad Tiahna was a good girl while you were out. IKWYM about forgetting time and forgetting to feed bubs , especially when they are so well behaved.

Girl22 - Sorry you didn't get your couch yet, but hopefully you'll get an even better one - remember all good things come to those who wait. On the childcare - I've started to arrange childcare for Cameron for next year. I'll be putting Cameron in Thursdays (probably from 9am til 3 or 4pm), from Feb/March (whenever they can get me in) and then Thursday and Fridays (will need to be 8.30ish til 4.30-5ish) from May. I go back to work in May, hoping to go part-time, but thought I'd try to get him use to the childcare thing a little earlier and wanted to make sure I could secure that Thursday place as I can work around every other day with my Mum, who will be looking after him Mondays and if need be Tuesdays.

Abb - Glad the girls were well behaved for you. I think that's also a big pat on the back to you for bringing up a well behaved daughter . Have fun catching up with your siblings. That would've been a great surprise with your brother. My brother surprised me a visit when I had Cameron (as he was living about 5 hours drive away), it was very emotion (he back closer now and probably will be forever cause of Cameron, loves being an Uncle)

As mentioned we are having Christmas here, just my family (Mum, Dad and brother) and FIL (as MIL is overseas), and whoever wants to pop in can - the open invitation is out there. We have lot of family on the Gold Coast, but they've all got their own families now. We will be doing the prawns and oysters thing, plus gotta have the turkey for DH. Think Cam will get to try a bit of the turkey too.

Well we battled the shopping centre again yesterday to get our dog and bird their xmas presents, then did the grocery shopping, but silly me forgot a couple of things so I had to pop down the road to our local woolworths, and boy was it busy. I even had to wait for a park (I've never in the 7 years I've lived here had to wait for a park at those shops). Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything and that should be it now (too bad if I have). Will just tidy the house over the next few days now ready for xmas day.

Well I've really gone out babbling today. Sorry about that , I'm feeling a little tired and tend to babble when tired. Better get an early night tonight then.

    Bye for now,

oh noes Mis_tree! Hope everything sorts itself out beautifully for you and Stanky. Best of luck, hun.

gee, I just popped in to say.... Aadi slept thru last night! And now I'm freaking out that I'll have to move back to Qld to get a decent night's sleep more often than once every 2 months. lol

that's it, back to my mangoes...
