    Hi All,

Abb - How's Hamish today/last night? I hope is feeling better. Cameron was like that the other month when he got sick...he seemed to sneeze alot the day before, then during the night he woke up screaming and you could hear he had a sore throat. Poor little bubba's...it's very upsetting when they are sick and there is not much you can do for them.

Nikki - Yeah, we are all a bunch of chatter boxes in here . I realised the only way to keep on top of it all was to 'try' to log on daily. Cameron's still only got the 2 teeth, but I'm thinking the next 1 is on its way. Not sure where though, but he is gnawing big time on the left side of his gums and the rosy cheeks have returned.

Sassy - It doesn't seem enough as 3 milks at this stage to me. Especially if she's not drinking all the bottle each time. I think my friend did the 4 til about 9 months, even though her chn kept telling her to cut it down from about 7months. And at 12months I would've thought they would have 2 milks a day (morning and arvo/night)...especially as DH and I love our milk, I think Cam would probably end up being the same. How's that new routine going, was it a fluke or did it work again last night.

Jess - Our routine did take a few days to make it work and adjust. It does make life alot easier, I can plan when to do house work and get on here!!! And instead of feeling disappointed your bfeeding days are almost over, maybe look at it as 'wow' I can't believe I made it this far. One of my new years resolutions is to be a glass half full person (not that i wasn't before, but I know I could do better). Good on you for doing housework when your bored...I probably should have done more housework myself instead of being on here

Was just wondering how MisTree's doing... Are any of you's till in contact with MisTree - how's her little Stanky?

Well not much happening here. Mum's holiday away is over, so we are back to our regular Wednesday Nana Day. She was so amazed of how much Cameron has grown and learnt. We pretty much stayed at home, as this way she got lots of cuddles. In the arvo we went for a big walk (our area is very, very hilly). I got my local streets all mixed up, so we went a little further then expected, but felt better for it (my body disagreed though little achy this morning). Will try to do is again this arvo (if it stops raining...just finished pouring here a moment ago).

I gave Cameron some cow's milk in his cereal this morning. So far so good. All going well I would like to introduce some grated cheese in his vegies in the next few days. As I think I'd like to start giving him some of our leftovers, as he's pretty much had most of what we eat now.

Well that's all from me for now. Cam's almost due to wake.

    Bye for now,

Jess its hard not be upset but yes i am proud and Hamish had a breatfeed this morning he woke up but i have just given him a bottle now as he refused breast and just screamed so i made a bottle and he drank the lot 200ml.

Sass i go to mchn next week so i will ask but i think i would just go with your gut, Hamish drinks alot of water, probably around 50ml after each solid feed, have you tried giving it to jayda in a sippy cup?

Bec hamish slept well last night woke at 7 this morning, i put a tri pillow in his cot to elevate him, i know its probably not ideal for safety reasons etc but he seemed to be able to breath easier and i slept in his room so i was able to check a few times during noght anyway. I used cows milk also in Hamish' cereal this morning and in his custard yesterday. I am going to try cheese next week, he seems to get a bit chucky with yoghurt so i have stopped giving it to him.
I have been in contact a bit with Mis tree on facebook but not for a week or so, stak had a reaction to egg they think, someone gave him a spoon of pavlova on christmas day and he ended up in hospital but he is ok now.

I best go do some housework while hamish is sleeping, i have work tonight and am not organised at all.

Abb- i'm still offereing boob but some feed she just screams... i'm not getting the letdown feeling and even when i try to squeeze some out i dont get much... and honestly i think she has gotten lazy to suck also... But today i am feeling better about it... she just downed 150ml from the 200ml bottle and this morning and had 100 mls then after 1/2 a bananna she had 40 mls of water... YAY 1st time... (i made it warm like the bottle) Glad hamish slept better and hope you did too...

I'm testing the bananna to see if it gives her an eczema flair up.. (chn told me it can cause a flair up) no reaction so far... Anyone else given bubs bananna... DD loved it but it was SOOO messy... hehe... she was covered in mushy goo... I just brought baby yoghurt so will try that... have given DD cheese but she didnt like it but is happy to eat a little bit of our cheesy pasta bake...

Bec - Also yeah i heard the same thing bout Stank on FB... Poor little boy... But he's ok so thats the main thing... do you have FB??? Wish we had some hills round here would make the walk a bit more challanging...

Sass- DP is away for just the week.... he doesnt go away often but every now and then they need him to go away for a week or 2... its not TOO bad... but the kids miss him heaps... (Mee too)

    Wonder how NaNa is going???

Jess i give Hamish banana almost every day, i find its a good thing to take with you if not sure how long you will be away from home, quick and easy. I mix banana in his custard and have just started giving Hamish bread, yesterday i put vegemite on it but today i mashed a bit of banana on it, he loves bread just like his mum.lol

    Unhappy

Hi everyone. I sincerely hope all the mothers and babies are doing well.
    Yes, Jess I am here.

I received a phone call telling me my child health nurse is on leave for 4 weeks. I spoke to a CHN near my area- she was no good. Now I don't know what to do. I might call somewhere else tomorrow to see what they can do for me. I got Yasmeenia to sleep by 10:30pm tonight. It is 11:40pm now. The heat is really getting to her the poor thing. Since 10:30pm the air conditioner has been on. She doesn't sleep well without it. I noticed she wakes up within 10 minutes of me turning it off. Even during the night, she wakes up because she is hot, not because she wants to feed. She doesn't feed much at night. She would rather sleep but she does wake up crying usually wanting to know if I am there or goes back to sleep. Hopefully tomorrow is going to be easier. I also hope arrangements can be made for sleep school. Thanks for thinking about me Jess. I am still a little upset about her going to sleep late.

Summer classes started today. I need to buy my text book.

    Thumbs up

Today, Yasmeenia had dinner with us. She ate the same food. Mini pasta, minced meat sauce with potatoe. She played around with it though. I feed her bread twice with butter, gets thrown around too. I seriously need to know how much she weighs, actually I am dying to know. I need to find a new CHN in this area.

    Abb,

Tomorrow I am going to try bread with banana and bread with avcando the day after. She seems to like banana, so with bread should be good.

    Hey everyone! I'm back!!
It seems like forever! I've been trying to get on BB for the last week or more, but every time I got a chance to get online something would happen and I'd have to go, or BB wasn't working! And maybe I'm paranoid, but I stopped getting the daily digests by email and my ticker disappeared... anyway, we had a great time on our first family holiday, and it was a wonderful opportunity especially for DP to really bond with Aadi and spend some quality time together. I got to have a few breaks as well, and there was always someone around who wanted to play with Aadi or carry him for a bit.
He's grown SO much! He went for his first real swim in a freshwater lagoon in the middle of a forest, and then at the beach, and also at a rockpool in a rainforest creek. He loved it, especially the waves at the beach. There was a photographer staying with us at Christmas time, and we discovered Aadi's extroverted side. He just loved the attention and bright lights, and he's such a poser! Also, he's become extremely vocal, and every morning now he wakes up and babbles for a good half an hour. It would be cute if it wasn't so loud, and at 4.30!! Every couple of days for the last 2 weeks he's started a new sound, and he practises them all together before pulling my hair and kicking me to get me up and out of bed. Such a bully! Today it's "nen nen nennennennehh jiajajajaja" which means "I have big sharp teeth that I'm going to bite you with!". His second top tooth is cutting thru, and it's making him a bit atrocious, and he's biting my shoulders every time I pick him up. Savage!
Um, solids... he went off them for a bit, but it was sooooo hot, I'm not surprised. He just wanted to drink lots, and we had to lie down to feed because it was all sweaty and uncomfortable to hold him. He fell asleep with every feed though, so I have to break that habit now that we're home. He's back on two meals a day now tho, and his appetite is picking up slowly.
Aadi has decided to go back to just commando crawling, but is now pulling himself up on the furniture and standing whenever he can. He's also doing that dreadful grunting thing that a few of you have mentioned... it's so loud sometimes, and it can be quite embarassing!! He did it today in the middle of the supermarket, then shouted and screamed until he was all red in the face, and threw a major tantrum, so I had to take him out and put him in the car. DP finished the shopping, so naturally forgot everything even though he had a shopping list. Men...
Anyway, I have loads of unpacking and cleaning up to do still, so I'll come back later for personals. I hope you're all doing well, and I'll try and finish reading all these posts properly this evening.
