Oscaroscar, I hope you are well on your way to recovery right now. You must be feeling like a truck has hit you, after everything you've gone through.
And Kelly, you've been crook too! And now Nelly's got the flu! What a bunch we are. Healthy vibes to everyone.
Re the swaddles, I do a double swaddle, helps keep their arms in place and fills out those little swaddle dooverlackies nicely. So you swaddle in a cotton sheet or similar non-stretchy thing, and then put them in their little special swaddles. I manage to keep Thomas wrapped up like a mummy all night like that. It's so funny when I let him out of his straightjacket in the morning, the stretches he does!! And immediately fills his nappy, too, I might add.
TM, I hope things are looking brighter for you right now. PND is a horrible thing.
Thomas is keeping me very busy at the moment - I've never had such a full on baby. He feeds so much! The block feeding has helped him a little overnight, and his tummy isn't as windy, but he is still as hungry as ever. A good night is 4 hours, three hours, two hours. A bad night is every hour! I do hope that he settles down soon. He's definitely had a massive growth spurt this week, as well as a developmental one. His smiles are very ready now, and he will smile and coo to get your attention. He is also reaching out to play with his toys now when he is on his play mat.
We have discovered though that he really doesn't like being out and about much - he likes the quiet of home and gets overstimulated and very ratty if we have a day out. That's fine by me as I'm a real home body but dh gets very housebound as he works from home, and so when he's not working, he likes to get out.
I have my six week checkup a week late on Monday. Pap smear on my wedding anniversary! Yayy! Go me! LOL. I wish I wasn't so fat. I had to go and buy size 18 pants last week *cry* because the weight wasn't coming off fast enough and I only had two pairs of anything I could fit into. I've joined a walking group to help shift it.
