Yes i just heard the last of it on the news on the radio and thought no way. So i went and had a quick look on the headlines of Sky News and sure enough there it was. Sent shivers right through my body too.

My mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2003. She was 36. Luckily they were able to get it all but she had to have 3 parts of her bowel removed. This shocked the whole family severly. Especially mum herself. She has too continue seeing the surgeon every 3 months too make sure it does'nt come back. My siblings and i are also at risk of getting it and when we reach a certain age we have to be tested every year.

A very sad time. It does make you grateful.
