Shazz ~ Darn AF... LOL @ getting a personal loan! And poor little Ryan sick again. Em has had a shocking run with viral infections as well! I hope you're feeling better soon!

Em went down really well tonight which was a surprise considering the late nap. We finally have a relaxing day tomorrow. Well so far its meant to be relaxing... I'm sure something will turn up though :rolleyes: I should have a normal 2 weeks though and then I'm going away for the weekend. Then the following weekend is Australia Day weekend! I just went and bought Australia Day thongs and a stubby holder LOL so I can get into the spirit! Okay I'm just babbling now. Its close to my midnight bedtime hehe! Will chat to you all tomorrow if you're around!!

Morning mums.

Well I am on day five of my weight loss thing, and am struggling. I am so hungry and can't stop thinking about food. Yesterday, much to my DH's disgust, I threw out everything that resembled chocolate, except for the milo cause that's my before bed treat.

I have started my quilt. Cut out 40 squares and 160 strips yesterday so now to just sew them together in a quilt top. Wonder how long THAT will take.

Kaitlyn's been a good girl today, but has only been up 1/2 hour he he :). Let's hope it continues.

Not much else happening.

11 days to go until my driving test and I am getting nervous.

LOL Shazz, I remember Mum buying our uniforms. She'd buy them a couple of sizes too big, so they'd last longer. Def sounds like AF....are you sure we aren't sisters...that's eaxctly what happens to me.

Jodie it's hot wax. It hardly hurts. I forgot how much more it hurt when I was pregnant (or how little it hurts when I'm not). I will have a look for that stuff. She gave me some prduct with salycilates in it so I figured it's just acne stuff, right?

I did the get rid of all the choccie last night too....only we ate it :doh: Cam's got nights for 5 so it's heaps easier to eat well when it's just me. We've got an easy day too, but I do have to buy my bro a birthday present......he's 24 and I have absolutely no idea....

i just got bitten my a green ant and OMG my foot has blown up like a balloon and is boiling hot and my knee and hip are throbbing darn it i shouldn't laugh at nick when he gets bitten now ( he usaually runs around in a cicle jumping hopping and muttering most likely swear words under his breathe )

i will Kim if it doesn't settle down soon mip is not to bad now but i havehad an ice brick on my foot and it doesn't feel cold to me my foot is that hot it has melted it lol

Kim Does your brother drink at all? I find a bottle of alcohol is always easiest for guys otherwise I end up buying aftershave or tops LOL.

Funny you say that Nat, he's in the Navy and used to be a huge, and I mean HUGE drinker, but when Darcy was born he stopped and hasn't drunk since....don't know why, but I suspect it might be because his current girlfriend is really 'nice'. Just gonna go the money thing...he want to go on a holiday my mum tells me...rambling, boring, sorry girls.....
You girls should check out the baby food ideas in the recipe section. I couldn't get Darcy to eat, but I tried a few of the ideas and now she's great...

hmmmm, Darcy took about 2 mins to go to sleep tonight....bet I'm in for a ripper....

Kim Money is a good idea! Its amazing what new girlfriends can do to brothers LOL. At least he has a nice one and not a bad one that's leading him astray hehe!

Em is loud these days and so excited. He really likes to play with me and is quiet amused when I'm trying to entertain him. Now this part is gonna seem silly.... but when he crawled I was proud and when he started walking on his walker I was just as proud... no sad feelings of him growing up at all. BUT this past few weeks I've noticed one little tiny thing that has made me feel sad. He can put his own dummy in... its so little and silly but he doesn't need me to do it any more! Its such a shock to see him with his dummy in when I haven't put it in!!! Like I said its a small thing and I think he's been doing it for ages and I just never really noticed and it just suddenly hit me... my baby is growing up!!!

I got him weighed today and he's 8.63 kgs and 71 cms long!!!

What recipes have you used Kim? I used a risotto one and made Em pumpkin and tuna risotto (weird combo I know but Em loves it!!).

I've been eating so bad today - pringles, chocolate....

I'm just about to start to tidy up my desk I think before its Em's bath time!!

carrots and rice, baked beans and pumpkin, ummmm someone suggested pear and avocado together....she loves that, hmmm can't think of the others....she usually just has blitzed up whatever I'm having....

Do you use one of those hand mixers? I really need to get one. Isn't your stuff too full of flavour for her though? I would give Em mine but I make all my food quite spicy and with garlic etc.

Hmmm baked beans you say? Do you just mash them up? I'm looking to extend Em's food from just vegies each night.

One the suggestions was to get your purreed vegies and thicken then mould into fingers and cover in bread crumbs and cook them. I haven't tried that one yet. Em loves finger foods though right now.

my quiet lasted all of 2 minutes i kid you not soon as i hit reply he woke up lol just my luck so wwe went and did the errands i had to do then we when came home we sorted out the kids school books ( stupid idea cause ryan was so madly trying to help ) then he crawled up too me on the floor lay his head on my leg and cried i picked him up took him into our bed to lay down with him this was at 3.30pm i was going to read my book i got for xmas and he was out like a light and we both just woke up now now i'm wondering if either of us are going to sleep tonight

Yep Nat I have a Braun 500 I think it's called it has a few attachments and I love it. For her stuff I use the stab stick for fine purees and the herb chopper as a little processor to blitz stuff. In regards to the flavours....here's what I think. We have lots of garlic and herbs etc as well. I'm still feeding Darcy so she's had lots and lots of practice at strong flavours (I'm also a fan of hot food too), she's never refused my milk, so what harm can there be? I would never give her hot stuff or anything really garlicky (and I have toned it down because she gets some). She wants what we have, so I'm not going to refuse her. The other day she loved spagetti with tomato and chickpea pasta sauce...lots of risottos and bean stuff. I'm not a huge meat eater either so I'm yet to introduce much meat to her diet. I figure that will ruffle her more than flavours she is really used to IYKWIM?

WTG Cooper!! Jayden is slowly getting there, he knows how to move his arms and how to move his legs but can’t seen to coordinate the two together hahaha he has mastered turning in circles and I guess it’s a sort of commando crawl he moves a little but not much.

Shazz: OMG @ the bite!! Sounds very painful!! How good of Ryan to sleep that long for you!! Jayden sleeps like that for everyone else but me LOL that’s ok though as I don’t get to see him much during the week. How did Ryan sleep last night?

Kim: I think money is a good idea too esp if he wants to go on a holiday.

Nat: Yay for Em!! But sad for you!! As much as I want Jayden to crawl, I know I will be very sad. Quite a while ago (not sure how long) I got up to Jayden through the night to put his dummy back in but by the time I got there he had found his dummy in the cot and put it back in the right way and gone back off to sleep….I think it’s a proud moment but I see what you mean about them not needing you as much. OMG Em is long!! I think Jayden is about 66cm or 68cm can’t remember. I have a follow up appt at CH on Tuesday as they want to re test his hips, HC and left teste (or right, can’t remember)

We had a bit of a rough night last, Jayden woke at 3.15 with a dirty nappy so I changed him but he wouldn’t go back to sleep, so I gave him 120ml bottle and rocked him to sleep for about 20mins. I don’t mind too much when I don’t have to work the next day and Chris has been on holidays for the last 2 weeks so if Jayden woke up Chris was getting up to him. Jayden learnt how to sip out of a straw yesterday, he opened his mouth really wide then close it around the straw he looked so cute!! I don’t know why I haven’t tried it with him before. He came into our bed this morning and he was giving Chris and I cuddles and the other morning he pulled himself up and stood up by himself…..He’s trying to pull himself up on my leg now so he can get a book off the coffee table. Anyway he is getting very restless

ryan sleep great last night wokeup onceat 11.45 pm the up at 5 am one happy mummy here now if only i didn't have to go to work today it would have been right up there in my top 20 we will see what tonight brings though i have my 5 year old nephew coming to stay over

Kim, thanks for the suggestions about the baby food section. I gave the avocado and pear a try tonight. Cooper seemed to like it. He has been really fussy with food lately, not eating home made stuff and only wanting Heinz stuff (grrrr..) but he enjoyed the avocado tonight. Will definitely give that to him again. :D

i must try some of those recipes too Ryan has got so fussy when it comes to food lately

Well we had a disaster of a nappy earlier! Em was playing and I didn't even notice - it was all over his shorts, down his legs - EVERYWHERE!?!? The Snugglers just don't seem to hold it in. I may have to put him in Huggies all the time I think.

Not really much going on otherwise. Went out today for coffee and cake and a bit of shopping which was lovely. Then we came home and watched Dirty Dancing which I haven't seen in years... gee the acting is actually really bad hey?? A nice relaxing day anyway. Hmmm I might go and do some scrap booking now LOL!!

Hehehe, Darcy thinks she can walk. She can't but she's gonna hurt herself trying. She's been a climber for a while but now she just turns around and lets go and takes a few steps before I catch her or she collapses....I wish she'd learn not to cos I don't want to discourage her but she does it all the time....

Hi ladies, I have missed being on here forthe past week. I have just read all the posts i missed and now I can't remember all the things i was going to say lol.
I think Riley is now the only baby not crawling but I dont mind cause he's my last baby so I am in no hurry! Riley is 69cm long but 9.4kg so I think he is on the big side reading some of your weights etc.I think its all the middle of the night feeds he keeps insisting on that I give in and give him to get some sleep!! We are still down the coast but prob.coming home tomorrow night. Its been up and down, had a huge fight with DH n thursday and Riley has been waking every one or two hours EVERY night so not exactly restful.
We have a great exercise bike that DH got cause someone was throwing it out and put it on their nature strip (he is a postie in a rich area) its in perfect condition and even has oxygen sats monitor and digital controls/display. I couln't believe that they would just get rid of it not try to sell it.(BTW we don't usually scavenge on footpaths lol)

Afternoon Ladies!

Yes i've been VERY quiet around here lately. Along with the trojan issues i have been way too tired from work to even consider looking at the computer. Mum and my nanny came up yesterday and helped out big time with a heap of domestic duties which took a large load of me. Mum also brang her laptop which i am on now!

Briley and i are fine. The pregnancy is going good. I have'nt had too much morning sickness. Enough to call it morning sickness though. I have still been getting quite a bit of cramping but only when i have been sitting down for too long. Its kinda like everything is getting squished down there and i need to lay down to take the pressure of it all.

Briley is still not crawling but is sitting on her own no worries. She is trying to clap her hands now too. Its the cutest thing. She tries to do it but loses her balance while she is sitting. Her personality is really starting to come out now. On the down side, i have noticed a little temper starting to rare its naughty head. She gets frustrated and lashes out at the littlest things sometomes. I try not too laugh but its a little funny sometimes!

Family Day Care is going good. Briley is loving it. She really enjoys playing with the older children. I got there to pick her up the other day and she had just woken up. She was sitting on the ground with the other kids watching movie. Gosh she looked cute.

Work is same ol same ol. I am so over it. Some days are ok and some just suck! I can't wait for it too be over. I start uni on the 20 something of February part-time. I am quite looking forward to it. Its only 2 days a week one of which is a full day the other only a couple of hours. The full day is on a friday which means that my mum will be able to take care of the babies for me.

Nothing much else to report though. Sorry for the lack of personals. I have been popping in too see how you all are.

Hope you are all well. I will be back some time this week. Give a big kiss to all the babies for me!!

Well I was feeling a bit poo this morning. It was about 50degrees with 700%humidity. I really wanted to go for a walk or go blading, but then it started to pour. So it was really hot AND raining hard. I couldn't put the rain cover on the pram cos Darcy would have sweated so much she would have shrunk LOL. Finally it cleared though and I got my walk. Phew! I never would have believed I would miss exercise....who'd have thunk...the cops have had more influence on me than I think, I think....

Darcy got out of the wrong side of bed at 4.30 this morning. Glad to see the back of her this evening...no I'm not, but isn't it hard work when they're cranky all day?

Kim Buggar about losing your post!! I have days when I breathe a sigh of relief when Em goes down to sleep!! LOL @ the weather. It has finally cooled down here but is meant to be back up to 39 by Wednesday. We usually have a really dry intense heat but the last few days has been amazingly humid! I so wish I could find somewhere to rollarblade with Em and the pram!!! I will check out the link in a minute and edit to let you know!

Sara Good to hear from you!! Whoo hoo for Darcy clapping her hands - how cute!! I have been trying to teach Em that but he just hasn't got it yet LOL. YAY for starting uni soon how exciting!! I find out next week what course I get into. The time has gone by so fast! When do you finish up working? Or will you keep working??

mrsmac That bike sounds like a great score!! WOW Riley is 800g heavier then Em. It doesn't sound like much but I beat Riley has a gorgeous chubby face and bum. Em's baby bum is uh rather lacking LOL. Its so skinny and doesn't even hold his pants up hehe!!

Vic Arghhh about the bad mum award!! I've done that as well. First a box fell on his head, then he fell off the bed and into the bedside table. From that you thought I would have learnt but no he fell off the bed again into the OTHER bedside table as well. He gets his fingers stuck in things and the second I relax and take my eyes off him for a minute he gets himself into trouble :rolleyes: He is going to be an interesting toddler that's for sure!! My funniest bad mum moment... I took Em out of the highchair and put him on the floor to play while I cleaned. He was happy there playing with the highchair cords, the bookshelf nearby and the coasters so I went into the study to post. He crawled into me say 20 minutes later to say hi and then as he was crawling back out again I saw his nappy... or should I say the contents of his nappy over his shorts... down his legs EVERYWHERE. He must have done it pretty much straight away because it had even started to dry!!! I felt terrible and needless to say he got an early bath that night!!

Well I was so organized this morning and I still don't have much to do now. I think I need an early night but I'm finding it difficult to get sleep lately. I might try and do some scrap booking! I got a heap of new tools for Christmas that I haven't used yet!

ETA Yep it all seems to be working Kim!

My little man starting pulling himself up and standing by himself today !!

A couple of days ago he worked out how to co-ordinate his arms and legs when crawling... and is virtually 'running' on all fours.

But now he's worked out how to stand, that's all he wants to do. So you can't imagine how many times we hear "thump" and then a cry as he has fallen over. So VIC... don't feel bad. It's going to happen to all of us. And as you said: A kiss & a cuddle and they've forgotten about it. Off on their next adventure.

Shaun still doesn't have any teeth... but he was dribbling something chronic today, so I'm thinking they are on their way (I've been saying that for 3 months now!).
And there is no sign of words or clapping hands.

I bought the most adorable Batman outfit for Shaun today. The pants are a bit big, but there was a t-shirt with a cape that velcro'd on. We put it on him, and he was scooting about the house. I must take a photo of him in it. Although he's dribbled all over it, so it's going to need a wash before photos.

And my sister bought Shaun a belated Xmas gift today - a Vtech tree that balls pop into it and slide down. It was so cool. But I think the "adults" got more enjoyment out of it than Shaun did!

Hi Girls, well I am doing my traditional uplate post....I am sooooo far behind on what all you girls and your little bubba's have been up to.

I posted way way way back about Phoebe's teething, I was sure something was happening, but you guessed it....NO TEETH. They are right there IYKWIM, the signs were all there, stronger than before and after a week of restless nights, pain & discomfort, rosy red & dry cheeks, runny poos, red raw bum, redness & swelling to the gums....ALL THAT FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. No crawling either, but she is soooo close. She does the commando style and gets around like an absolute trooper, she has really chubbby legs so it is a little difficult for her to get right up on her knees....to many cute little rolls in the way. She backs herself up to the lounge so she can push her feet on to it, then she gets up on her hands and pushes her little bum into the air...very cute.

Take Care...I will definately have to get in an start doing some personals.

P.S Nat ~ is it wednesday that you find out about your uni course??? I find out then for my tafe course...I'm soooooo excited.

morning all well another crappy night here 2nd night in a row Ryan has managed to whinge enough for me to let him stay in our bed which i wouldn't have a problem with except i get NO sleep cause i'm too worried DH will roll on him so tonight thats it the foot is going down and he is staying in his bed whether it kills me ( and it just might)

I agree agree about worrying about DH. Darcy and I sleep in the spare bed if we cosleep which thankfully isn't that often any more.
Little buggar used to go back to sleep after her early morning feed (5-6ish) - but not any more! Did get a bit done this morning though.
