Its been busy in here again. Good to see...just means its too much for me to do long personals on. Sorry girls, I am going from memory.
Nat, teaching is a great career move...well, I am a little biased. Well done on getting in.
Jodie, I haven't seen Sara for a while either. She must be just too tired to get on the computer at nights, I know she was pretty exhausted after work.
Shazz, glad you are getting back to healthy again. Men are the worst patients aren't they. They sneeze and they think they have the flu!!
Kim, very funny story about Cam in the shower. Well, funny now but not at the time probably.
I cant remember who mentioned eating paper, but Cooper does too. I tried to rock him to sleep the other day and everytime the dummy went in his mouth he would pull a funny face and make a grunting sort of noise. Then he put his head back and cried and I could see a big chunk of paper stuck on the roof of his mouth. No wonder he wouldnt sleep. As soon as I removed it he closed his eyes and went to sleep.
Ohhh, I cant remember anything else...I am a shocker. Sorry, I will do better next time.
Tooth #2 is coming through here and Cooper is going through hell. Poor bubba, he is so upset during the nights again, its back to him and I co-sleeping in the spare bed. I know it can be bad, but I will do anything to comfort my boy when he is so upset.
We are sure he is saying 'mum-mum-mum' which I love.
One more week before I return to full time work. I am so sad at the thought. I will miss being able to do lunch with friends and go shopping whenever I like. Of course I will miss Cooper, that goes without saying. I wish I had a husband who had a real job who could support me being a SAHM....instead of me supporting him being a SAHD. It gets me so mad and upset at times...anyway...
Hope you are all going well...back tomorrow to see how things are going.

i forgot to tell you all what ryans new trick is you know those fisher price activity centres that have wheels so the can push them around ........ And his offf and racing he has been burning around all day and watch out if anything gets in his way he has a minor tanty then proceeds to push like it is a mower back and forth back and forth till what or who ever is out of the way it is a halarious to watch but now he thinks he can walk OMG and just lets go and goes to run and then crashes and (most of the times) ...burns then late this after noon he climbed aboard his push car and i mean literally climbed up and stood on the seat to reach on top of the tv cabinet just caught him in time before the car rolled out from under him then 10 minutes later he climbed the fire place :omg: it is freaking me out i need a pair of shackles with a dirty big heavy ball attached to the chain  i shouldn't be to surprized niko walked at 9 months , darn it why won't he stay a baby just a little bit longer and to top it off this is the first day he completely refused to BF so i guess thats it i'm obsolete ok enough of me me me me post
i'll be back tomorrow after work have good night every one

Boy is it smoky here this morning, the bushfires seem to be under control but we have a thick blanket of smoke over the whole area now, yuk.
I have to go into work for a meeting this morning to sort out a few things for job sharing, the boss hates people job sharing but he has no choice but to let me so I have to make it work.
Neveplan I'm glad Riley could keep Mel amused! Its such a pain typing with a baby on your lap isn't it? Riley is always deleting things or moving stuff, we have had to give him his own TV remote with no batteries cause he kept changing channels when we were watching things.
Lea Glad you enjoyed the weekend even if it wasn't the ritz! The only time I have been able to go away from my kids and DH is in Sept. 2005 I went to Canberra for 3 days- with 80 children!!!!(Year 5&6 excursion)
OMG I can smell Riley fromhere BBL
-
Alison - i had a giggle about the paper stuck in his mouth , sounds like something i would do he he. Arch loves eating paper too.
kim - its fantastic to see the proud look on their faces when they do something new.

Wow thats 18.... Apologies if I missed anyone.... Hope all is going well with eating, sleeping, pooping, teething etc....
Just baking some lemon and poppyseed muffins (97% fat free) as I am going to a 'sewing day' tomorrow and thought something a little healthy would be good. I can smell them, they're ready. Mmmmm
We had a good day today, NOT..... Kaitlyn was in a bad mood most of the day and I was feeling fat, down, bored and hormonal. Need I say more?
Why can't babies just wake up one day with a full set of teeth in their mouths? It would make life easier for both us and bub. But when you think about it it would look pretty funny eh?
Anyway, enough rambling from me, better get the muffins out before they burn and be off to bed.
Nite.

OK, bad mother of the year award goes to.......ME.
For about a month now I have been complaining about Cooper teething. He has been grizzly and sleeping really badly through the night. During the day he can have this constant whine going on which drives me batty. Then at night, he has been stirring heaps and wakes up screaming and wont resettle, so I have been taking him into the spare bed with me to sleep.
Today I went to the MCHN for his 8 month check up and mentioned how badly he was teething. She said I should get a dr to look at him because teething shouldn't be so bad and go on for so long. Should be a couple of days max.
So....I took him to the dr this afternoon and yes he is teething BUT he has a mild ear infection...explaining his screaming at night because when they lay down the pressure builds up causing them pain.
I feel so bad, I should have had him looked at sooner, but the symptoms were the same as teething (pulling at ears, screaming, unsettled sleeps etc). Bad mummy!!!
-
leanne - mmmm wish i could have one of your muffins ... i can smell them now aaahhh. sorry you had a bad day. i agree teething sucks!
alison - poor cooper! yuour not a bad mum, just a first time mum. i am paranoid about ear infections, he has never had one, but every time he pulls his ear (which is very often) i wonder if it is an infection. im sure cooper will forgive you. as mums we will always find something to feel guilty about.
well i am still see-sawing between ttc and not ttc...........
-
What causes ear infections in babies?
-
Life causes ear infections in babies I think!!! Riley has had one already, Jess used to get them heaps,Erin has had a few, don't know why. Don't feel bad about not noticing, the symptoms are very similar to teething and I have never thought "I think my child has an ear infection" and taken them to the doctors, its always been discovered when I've thought it was something else. You are not a bad mother honey!!! I made Jess wait 5 hours before taking her to emergency with a broken wrist cause i thought she was being over dramatic!(how bad did I feel then LOL)
Love the list Leanne, I may print it off to remember who belongs to whom.
Riley still seems to be teething but has no teeth, he still isn't crawling either but both the cat and I are pleased about that! He is very into eating paper too, he ate Jess' soccer registration form today which is a pain, she is away atm but won't be pleased when she has to take in the crumpled, ripped and half sucked form to the rego day LOL.
Going to bed now, we are taking the 2 youngest to the Aquarium tomorrow.

Evening ladies!!
Just quickly. Our weekend away was great! The shack was hot pink and aside from being too small with non-working spa and toilets – it was good!! There were 16 of us so lots of talking and laughing and drinking!!! It was like a huge slumber party!!
Widdly – Thanks!! It is from the professional shots I had done in October!
Kim – I’m loving the independent part! Its sad but so much easier!
Alison – Thanks for the congrats!! It has been busy in here hasn’t it!! Hehe @ the paper stuck to the roof of his mouth!! Em has done that before as well! Don’t feel bad honey! Easy done!! I hope he’s feeling better soon!
Shazz – That is so cute of Ryan!! OMG @ the climbing! That is worse then Em!! How scary!!!
Mrsmac – 80 kids – lovely!!! Hehe at smelling Riley! PMSL at Jess’s soccer registrationg form!!!
Leanne – Hey how are you!!? WOW at everyone you listed!! How did you remember them all! Our little group is getting bigger and bigger hey! I wish Em would just wake up with a full set of teeth. I can see them right under the gum line and even feel them slightly but they sit there and do nothing.!!! Grrrr
Well we had a great day today. Got some cleaning done and I bought a new pram!! It’s the one in the Kmart catalogue – was advertised at $129 and I got it for about $95!!! It’s a 3 wheeler one so it will be great for walking. I will still use my Peg one for out and about though. I also discovered Jesters!! Has anyone been to a Jesters before? I had a to die for Chicken Carbornara pie and a blueberry kiss!! Just divine.
I’m about to head to bed. Night all!
-
Elissa I read that other thread too, cos I'm not sure either. What works for someone doesn't work for everyone else. They only going on their experience.....I totally agree with Vic and that's what we're going to do....if it happens, it happens. I love Darcy to death and I never ever knew I could love a little soul as much as I love her. At the moment I don't want her to have to share, but I never ever want her to be lonely either.
That's great about working Vic. Are you going to be OK in that close a proximity to those awful ILs of yours? Did you pick a stroller? I need a little one for travel too and have no idea.
Alison, you poor love. Hope Cooper's feeling better with some ABs. My mum let me go four days with a badly broken wrist when I was six, cos she didn't believe me - and I could talk!!! Was only when I had to get my four year old sister to open the toothpaste she thought we'd better get it checked out.
Nat I've always wanted to try them, but there's none even remotely close to where we are. Sounds great though. There was a poster in the general babies threads born in may, maybe you could PM her and send her in here.
OMG about Ryan's climbing Shazz!!!! I thought Darcy was bad, but she's still a bit too gumby for that yet.
I've been feeling a bit poo in this terrible heat the last couple of days. I've had the worst headache that panadol isn't budging and kidney pain again for a while....bet my BPs gone back up. Can't drink anymore water, I have about 10 glasses a day. Probably doesn't help stressing about money either....
For those of you with digi cameras theres a website called getdigital dot com dot au that does 13c!!! prints and you pick them up at a chemist near you. You have to order 100 at a time, but hey at 13c that's only 13 bucks! I've ordered some and can't wiat to see how they turn out.
-
Vic ~ YAY about being able to work out of those 4 walls! It sounds like just the break you need. That’s great that you’re getting closer and closer to having your own business as well. Jesters is a food place that just does pies – savoury and sweet. I had the yummiest food there – it was great!! LOL at Adams shots being 2 months late – Em’s were 1 and ½ months late lol.
Kim ~ I hope you’re feeling better soon sweet! I hope that BP is down!! A friend just had some of those printed out. They turned out fine – not as great quality as say Harvey Norman but good all the same!
Just made a chocolate cake and cleaned up. Now I need to do the ironing and clean this desk up. And find something for lunch… I’m a little peckish after talking about Jesters pmsl.
Ever get in the mood where you have heaps to do but you’re really bored… and you just end up procrastinating and wasting time… grrr that’s where I am right now!!
-
Hehe I should be re-working my budget/finances, ironing, cleaning my desk, scrap booking... something other then the nothing I am doing!!!
-
neverplan - yes those threads did put me off but i think i will stop the pill again after next AF and just leave it to fate...knowing us it won't happen for years anyway
lea - i am hopeless with procrustinating i do it constantly.
do you uys make big meal batches and freeze it? what sort of meals do you do at this age?? i am a self confessed hopeless cook, i just hate cooking.. luckily i love doing the laundry so it all evens out....
-
Okay I've cleaned the desk and chased up my emails. Now to tackle this budget / spreadsheet business. Pretty annoyed I lost it all. Ohhhh I just remembered I may have backed it up onto a CD. An old copy but it will have all the formulas and layout in it... better then nothing!
I think Em is waking up. He went down quite early today and then woke up again. I was able to get him back to sleep surprisingly enough. He's not himself the poor thing.
Why is it when ever I eat breakfast I am constantly eating all day??! Its silly really!!!
I'm going to go and look for this CD!! Fingers crossed for me girls!! I'm feeling too lazy to start from scratch hehe
-
I don't know whether you inspired me or made me feel guiltyNat, but I got off my backside and cleaned the ensuite, dusted, washed a load and then went to cook dinner while Cameron was bathing Darcy. You know those nights when you should have gotten takeaway??? We've had one of those.
Cam irritated me by not wanting to take Darcy upstairs while he ran the bath. She was clingy so I couldn't put her down. Then he was too lazy to open the gate and so made me bring Darcy to him, but I needed him to get a casserole dish out of a high cupboard for me. So, cranky, I got the casserole dish myself, not watching (cos I'm too short) and the pyrex that was leaning on it came crashing down and shattered into a million gazzillion pieces.
Then I couldn't find the dustpan so picked up the big bits by hand and had to vacuum the rest. We had to go over it three times to pick it all up.
So I start to cook dinner and I'm using a corningware casserole dish that's supposed to go on oven top and in the oven. I add the stock to the risotto and the whole dish cracks! (I've used it like twice). The stock came pouring out into the element and all I could do was watch. So I turned the power off and Cam was laughing - what else could i do? Thank heavns for him, he cleaned up the elements while I transferred the said rice to a saucepan to continue as I usually would. Far out.
Then to top it off Darcy coughed rice all over me.....
-
Kim- I wouldve given up and got takeaway by then!! You are very good. I have just made Erin some scrambled eggs on toast and its 8pm- what a bad mother LOL We went to the Aquarium today and got home aboout 4 ish and had a nap, unfortunately Riley went to sleep about 5.30 and is still asleep so I can see a loooong night ahead, I really should go and wake him. God motherhood is hard, I am so over making decisions and dealing with it all atm even though we had a lovely day I am just tired and headachy. I better go before my whinging gets tedious!
-
Christine I so hear ya and I've only got 1! Darcy used to want to go to bed at 4.30 and then she'd be awake and raring to go at 4am!
-
Haha about making you feel inspired/guilty! I honestly didn't do all that much!! I would have stopped at the smashed lid - I hope dinner tasted good after all that!!
Christine I hope you get a good nights sleep!
Em just went down to sleep and its DVD time now. I've been jabbering all day long and now there's nothing left to say!! LOL!
Night girls!
-
kim - at least you went ot the effort, i just finnished a frozen meal for the second night in a row, DH is working late shifts, i'm really looking forward to a home cooked meal tomorrow night though
-
Hey Girls,
I’m meant to be packing now but I thought I would drop in quickly and see what you are all up to
Elissa: I haven’t worn a dress since I was 4 mths pregnant….So naturally I’m a little nervous on what it looks like haha, I’ll get pics at the wedding I might look half decent there haha.
Vic: Jayden and I leave Bundy Friday and we’ll be staying in Buderim overnight then go to the airport Saturday. Chris is coming down on the 8th Feb, closer to the wedding. Then we all fly back to the Sunny Coast on the 12th Feb. So 2.5 weeks for Jayden and I….I can’t wait!!! OMG I don’t know if I’ll be able to handle it with 4 kids….good luck with that hahaha. Congratulations at your job prospects, I hope it all works out for you
Nat: Jayden and I are both better thank god!!! We don’t get sick often so I’m a sook when I do get sick….Jayden is much better at coping with it. I thought it was time for an updated pic…BTW I keep meaning to say how cute your ticker is too! That’s great you enjoyed your getaway….. Love the colour of the shack!!
Alison: I think unless babies could talk and tell you whats wrong, you’re not expected to just know why they are upset…..It doesn’t make you a bad mother at all. I hope Cooper is feeling better.
I can’t wait to get to Melbourne, we are going straight to my friends (the bride) house to crash her bridal shower…..She thinks we are arriving closer to the wedding…Her face will be priceless!! Oops been on here a bit too long, it is so hot in this room (its closed up cause the A/C is on in the lounge).
Have a great night girls and great couple of weeks if I don’t get on
oxox
-
Awww Vic that sounds wonderful! LOL @ me not inspiring you. I was happy I wasn't the only one wasting time. I'm normally such a productive person to LOL.
Elissa LOL @ the frozen meals!! I have been a good girl and haven't had them lately!! I have been meal planning when I do my grocery shops and its working a treat!!
Em was asleep and is now awake - oh boy this is not good!
ETA I missed your post Tania. Sounds as though you're gonna have a blast! You'll look hot in a dress! How nice of you to surprise her. I would love to see her face as well!! I hope you enjoy your time away!
-
Darcy learned to clap yesterday. Now, everytime she stops what she's doing she finds a reason to clap. It's so funny.
Made the best muffins just now form scratch....and I didn't burn or break anything! :D
-
neverplan - that is so gorgeous they're so young and they still know how to look after each other! i think you prob have me convinced to just keep churning them out lol. i just get so petrified of m/s, and exhaustion, im a scaredy cat.
tania - have an awesome weekend, im sure your dress will look stunning.
kim - yay for darcy! archie has no clue when it comes to clapping. and well done on the muffins
i am actually bored! this hasn't happened for ages, arch has been asleep for over 2 hours....i wonder if he is okay....NO I WILL NOT GO AND CHECK ON HIM... we all know that they wake up when we do that he he he
-
Katy's a clapper Kim. Every time she does something she thinks is clever, she'll look at you and clap and then put her arms up as if HOORAY.... So cute. One day she did it non stop....
Well It's been a week since I got my licence and I am over driving. It freaks me out. Just tonight some hoon in a VL V8 Commodore did a burnout behind me at a roundabout (the one near the school Kim), and then followed me, no tailgated would be the better word (about 10cm from my bumper) all the way into where I was picking up dinner. Tried to run me off the road I swear. And I did nothing wrong. I was in the roundabout before he got near it and it was like he had the poops with me. Then I got out to get my hamburger (great for the diet I know :( )... and he had gone around the block and then did a burn out right near my car, setting off the alarm.
I was on my own and so scared I did not want to drive home but what choice did I have. When I got here I was shaking, and did not feel like eating after that. I have told Mark that unless I have to I am not keen on driving after today.
People are idiots out there, absolute idiots - and the majority are P platers, but what about the ones that do the right thing? People are up your tail so often it's like they're encouraging you to speed.
Sorry for my rant . . . it's actually brought me to tears tonight. I'm over it. I'm over the diet . . . I'm over it. How can I be putting on weight when I am on a diet.... It's not worth it. I guess some people were born to be fat. I think I am one of them. I don't want to go back to work on Monday week, and I don't particularly want to leave my little ray of sunshine either.
:( I think I might just go to bed. That's where everyone is tonight. DH came home with a headache and Katy's stuffed from being out today she'll probably sleep through till at least 5.
Nite.
-
Darcy did that the other day too Elissa (trust me it's a rareity for her). I know what you mean though.
Vic your story made me think about my age gap preference too. Mel is just so lovely.
We posted at the same time Leanne. I've sent you an email.
-
Oh Leanne, hugs to you, you poor darling. I know how you feel about dieting- I've just eaten 3 cinnamon donuts in depression! I hate people like that on the road, especially when you are by yourself it makes you feel horrible doesn't it.
Riley is screaming in his cot so I'd better go and comfort him because apparantly I am the only person aware of him!!
-
leanne - things always seem better in the morning, have a good sleep.
neverplan - poor adam, i hate vacs! he should wake up feeling better in the morning though.
Archie is pooped, i don't think i'll hear from him again til the morning, fingers crossed, i can barely keep my eyes open either, but i can still manage to sit here and eat icecream....
-
HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY
HAPPY 8ths JAYDEN!!!
Sorry no personals this morning
IL's feel it necessary to leave in the morning (8am) I was up until 2.30am packing, washing, folding, washing and preparing bottles and food etc because I don't have the morning that I had planned.
I also didn't want to spend all day at SIL #5 house. I have no room in their car to take the pram which means I have to carry Jayden (9kgs+) around all day........I wanted to go late afternoon so I had heaps of time this morning to finish packing, visit a friend. A sleep in would have been nice too seen as I have worked all week!!I just wanted enough time to pretty much just have time to have dinner there and go to bed.
Sorry for my rant......I have had 3.5hrs sleep, AF is late and it'll be just my luck I will get it in the car during my 3 hrs trip with the IL's LOL on the plus side, Vic I sent you an email with my mobile # I'd love to catch up if we're able to, just not sure what we are doing...Chris's family aren't always the best for communication.
Oh Jayden is crawling properly now and of course getting into everything!! He is trying to say my dogs name (Aker) he leaves out the "k" but you ask him to call Aker and he looks around and says "A...Aer" its so cute.
Sheree and Lachie have moved, it was hard not to cry when we said goodbye. They arrived safely on Wenesday. I probably won't hear much from her in the next few weeks as they won't have internet and they will be very busy no doubt.
Ok I better get the boy up and ready....would hate to be late LOL
Big hugs to mummy's and bubby's!! Hope you all stay safe for the Australia Day weekend
oxoxox
-
Have a great holiday Tania!!!!
Drive safe love.
The six month needles stuffed Darc around too....wonder which ones the nasty one? Hope Adams feeling better.
-
Morning Girls!!!!
Just popping in to say at really big HI!!!!!
We are going ok. Briley is not crawling, pulling herself up or even walking yet!! No teeth either!!! Slow one here!!!
I am not going to do personals cause i have'nt been on for so long there is soo much to catch up on. I have been through and scanned the posts though. Everyone seems to be doing relatively well.
I am ok. 13 weeks today. This pregnancy is going to quick its just great!!! Totally different to Briley's pregnancy.
I did the ring test the other day and again yesterday and it showed a boy both times!!! I am not going to find out though.
Hope you are all well. I will be on tonight to post again. Mum is up for the weekend and brought along her laptop and that is what i am on. My computer is still sick. Stupid thing.
Anyhooo......BBL
Oh and my mate Michelle had a little Boy last saturday. They called him Rian. He was born 7lbs 3oz and was 51cm. She had him at 11.22am after an 18 hour labour. Her waters broke at 11.15am and she had him 7 minutes later. They are all doing fine.
-
Great to hear from you Sara... (email on it's way!)....
Leanne... hope you're feeling better this morning (and DH too).
Neverplan.... I hope Adam is feeling better too. I'm lucky that shaun never reacted to any of this shots.
Tania... it's so cute that Jayden is saying the dogs name. I'm sure Shaun will say "billy" (our cat) before mum or dad! Shaun is obsessed with our cat. Hope you have a good break.
Lea... hope your life has become more organised! I'm on a bit of a mission myself. I'm in the process of sorting out all my clothes. I'm going to space bag the stuff that's too small and maternity, and donate/throw away a heap of stuff. I need order!!!
Elissa: re meals... I get loads of fruits & veges, and I cut them all up and microwave them. Sometimes I purree some of them, some mash (so it's a little lumpy). Then I freeze them in ice cube trays, then put them into ziplock bags. So when it's meal time I take out 2-4 cubes, defrost them and mix them with other stuff like: pasta, jar of baby food (like the steak/chicken ones), yogurt, banana, rice meal, weetbix. I also give shaun some toast fingers. It usually takes me 1/2 a day to do all the fruit/veg preperation, but it's so worth it to have the right size fruit & veg (that's been frozen fresh) when you need it. I couldn't think about preparing fruits & veges individually every meal. I introduced the vaalia baby yogurt to Shaun yesterday and he loved it!
Happy 8th month Jayden
Shaun has been good... although he's going back to his old night-time sleeping habits. He went through a stage of sleeping through the night... but now he's waking up at midnight (where he resettles), 3-4am (where he doesn't resettle and I end up bringing him in with us because I just don't have the energy). I thought it was teething (because he's got none) - but there is still no sign of teeth coming through. Got to happen sometime... he's 8 months old tomorrow!
Hope you all have a happy Australia Day!!!!! We're getting stuck into our garden.
-
Sara so good to hear from you..... and that all is going well with bubba #2
Thanks everyone for your thoughts etc last night. Yesterday was a shocker, but I am feeling better today. DH took the car so I have just been pottering at home. Have ahd a headache most of the day though so taking panadol and trying to rest when Kaitlyn's been resting. She's VERY clingy today, following me around the house and sits with her hands up. So cute. She's fallen asleep in my arms at every feed which is so unlike her.
Thanks Jodie for your email this morning. I'm going out tonight so probably should start to think about what I am going to wear, but I'll reply soon. Thanks again.
Well better get the washing off the line while my princess is in bed, and go have a shower.
Happy Aussie Day everyone.
:)
-
-
happy aussie day everyone!
sara - so happy for u that ur pg is going really quickly for u, hope mine does that next time.
tania - hope u get some well earned relaxation on ur holiday (knowing that ur a mum you probably wont though huh?!)
Archie has just got his second wind so he is playing on the floor with his toys, hopefully he will be asleep by 9:30. Just dropped drunken DH off at my sister's, she's got people around for aussie day drinks. was glad to just get home to some peice and quiet after a busy, but fun, afternoon. OH! Archie had a sleep in his pram will we were out this afternoon! he hasn't done that for months, what a good boy!!
after umming and aaaing about whether or not i am readt to ttc#2 i have finally decided to just do it! very excited (and a little scared) can't wait to give Archie a little brother or sister, i just hope we don't have twins, our generation are due to have them!!
-
Kim, yay at Darcy clapping, how cute. I have been trying hard to teach Cooper to do it, but no luck so far. He claps my hand but not his together.
Sara, its great to hear from you and that things are going well. Have you finished work now?
Elissa, congrats on deciding to ttc #2.
Vic, is Adam better today? lol at the power spew on your DH. Cooper was unsettled for a week after his needles. Thank goodness there are no more for another 4 months.
Cooper's ear infections seem to be clearing up, he is a much happier boy now. Night sleeps are still awful, waking heaps and needing settling out of the cot then sleeping together in the spare bed. I really dont know how to stop it. I guess sleep school is the only solution but I will be back at work next week.
Speaking of work, am I bad for feeling angry that I have to go back to work while DH gets to stay home and look after Cooper?? I know I have had a great 8 months with him, but it just feels so wrong having to leave him. I am angry that Tony doesnt work enough for me to be able to stay at home. I wish he had a real job and not just float from job to job. I feel as though he should have done more to support us and not rely on me to support him. I always imagined I would be a SAHM for atleast 12 months. He tries really hard when he looks after Cooper but it just isnt good enough IYKWIM. I'm crying just thinking about being away from him.
OK, enough whinging from me.
Back in the morning.
-
Alison, no way are you a bad person!!!! I would move heaven and earth to stay home with Darcy. We even thought about selling our unit and renting so I could, but it's just not an option. Could you not both work part time? The thought of someone else looking after Darcy and me missing out makes me feel sick too. Even if it is DH. I'm lucky I can do 3/4 hours in two nights, but I'm still worried DH will just let her cry cos he doesn't have the patience or the tolerance to settle her, and then that will make it worse for me the rest of the week. I also know he'll expect me to still do everything AND do night work, even though he has the next 2 weeks off and has told me he plans to spend it in front of the TV!
Sorry that turned into my rant didn't it? But NO WAY should you feel bad for feeling like that. Ultimately I guess there isn't a lot we can do about it and just have to make the best of a bad situation.
What year are you going to teach Alison?
Which makes me ponder....I only have to do a one year conversion to teaching. If I did that, and I moved to another state, do your qualifications transfer???? I so don't want to have to go through another police accademy.

I'm still around girls.
There is just so much going on around here - both good and bad. :frown: Taking some time out because of it all. I would go into more detail but you all know what its like with a public forum and all.
Alison - You're def not a bad person!! I would do anything to make sure I could stay home with Em if that's what I wanted. Is DH not working at all right now?
Elissa - Whoo hoo for deciding to start TTC #2!! Best of luck with it!!
Jodie - LOL with needing order. You sound like me!! Except I did the same thing with my wardrobe months ago hehe!!!
Hey Shazz, Sara, Tania, Leanne, Vic and Christine.
Sorry for the pathetic attempt at personals. :frown:
I am out today (in fact I need to leave soon LOL) and then working tomorrow and then Em has his first two days at childcare Monday and Tuesday. I have the Big Day Out next week as well working both days next weekend and then the following week I start uni so I am busy enough in that sense.
Will check back in soon.
