Nat my depo injection needs to be done again in march and I'm not going to have it so we'll just see what happens after that. I know of people who've fallen pregnant in the first month, others it's taken a while to wear off.

Thanks Kim and Nat. DH works for his brother and its just a matter of when his brother has a contract to do demolition or not...he hasnt had one since about November.
Kim, part time isnt an option for me, I have accepted and signed a 12 month contract to teach full time. I have grade 5/6, but its mainly grade 6 (only 3 grade 5 students in there). I transferred from teaching in NSW to Victoria, so I can explain what happened when I applied to teach down here...it was a nightmare and basically they wouldn't acknowledge my 9 years of teaching in Sydney so I was back to the beginning wage down here (dropped over $10 000 a year which sucked big time). You do not have to do more training, just go through the victorian institution of teaching. If you want to know more, let me know, I had a hard time with the VIT.
LOL at looking at maternity clothes...I change my mind every day about when I want to TTC #2...have you made a decision about when??
See here's my dilemma....I'm going to be 30 in March next year. I want to have a baby that year because there is a long line of girls in our family that are 10 years apart and I want it to continue. Next year we have a 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, and 10. However, I want to either go to Ayers Rock or Fiji for my birthday (before Darcy's 2 and costs to fly) and so don't want to be so pregnant I can't travel, but I don't know that I can wait until Nov/Dec to TTC. So I'm hoping either march/april - I THINK. Then there's the dramas Cam and I have been having and that puts me off. And right ATM I couldn't care if Darcy was an only child, I just love being with her, but I really don't think I want that.... Hopefully going back to work will make the weeks fly and it will be October before I know it and I won't have my dilemma....
Alison- I know exactly how you feel. Whilst I love my job I would prefer to be off longer but DH's wage is nearly half mine so we can't. Also he seems to resent me being at home while he works, like I'm getting some bludging holiday while he slaves. (We just had a bit of a fight so I'm not feeling too charitable atm) I do envy you having Yr 5/6 thats my dream and I am stuck with year 1! At least I can job share.
Kim- I taught in NT for a year, my qualifications from NSW were recognised there but not that fact that in NSW and were on the top of the pay scale you got paid as if you had a degree even if you didn't- I dropped $9000 a year, also their pay was less but this was 1999. Things have changed a bit up there but if you ever wanted to go to NT to teach I still have some contacts.
Lea- Hope everything is OK.
It sounds like a few of us are going back to work this week, its sad isn't it? I am feeling very teary about leaving Riley, he seems too young.
My mind has gone blank about anything else I was going to write! Widdly- I hope you haven't been overwhelmed with info about age gaps LOL, I tell you having a baby and a 15 yr old can be very very handy!!!
Leanne hope you are feeling better.
Can't remember who said their baby had no teeth and couldn't crawl but bless you for saying that cause Riley is the same and I was feeling a bit paranoid LOL
Did you girls get your govt service recognised?
We're actually thinking of Tassie. What's the pay like down there - anyone know?
I actually looked in to teaching in Tassie a few years ago and even applied for some jobs. At that stage it was VERY difficult for outsiders to get jobs teaching and I didn't even get to interview when I had been teaching since 1988 and had a wide range of experience both in Sydney and NT.
In NSW I'm pretty sure they rec. govt. experience but don't quote me.
Alison - i am sorry your having a hard time going backto work. big hugs.
kim - yay another ttcer this year, you'll prob get pg before me!
we have my sisters 21st party tonight at 8pm. sucks that it starts so late, means that i won't be able to be there very long. Archie has just gone to bed so im hoping he sleeps til at least 6pm (wishful thinking i reckon!) so he can come to the party for a couple of hours.
is anybody else noticing that their babies seperation anxiety is starting to get worse? they say tht it peaks at 9 months, arch is such a mummy's boy, he never takes his eyes off me and sooks every time i walk away from him.
My auntie was holding arch today and he stuck his finger into her can of beer and cut his little finger. he didn't react but it bled for ages
Don't count on it Elissa. Be good to have a belly buddy though. Poor little mite.
Good to know, thanks Christine, I'll probably save the uni time and just return to nursing. It all counts towards long service thank goodness though.
Are they too young for tantrums? Darcy has a fetish for plastic bags. Yesterday I wouldn't let her have the full nappy sack and put it out of her reach - well didn't she turn it on!! Today she didn't want to sit in the pram or the carseat and the screams! OMG!
Riley has been having tantys for a while now, he has his father's filthy temper LOL. He has a screaming fit if you take something away from him or even if he drops something! Jess never really had a tantrum even in her terrible twos, but Erin started at about 2.
got to love the tanty's ryan can turn in a second and he gets louder and louder when i laugh at him
Ryan's picture looks like he has mischief in his eyes LOL.
Oh goody! Thought we'd be exempt for a little bit longer....Darcy's the same and cos I rarely get tanty angry I do laugh at her a lot - same as I do with her dad. It's real tears too :crying:
No such luck! Riley is a mini daddy when it comers to temper! He has been screaming because I won't let him help me type! Now he has his mobile and is playing with that happily for a few minutes at least (he has his own mobile cause he dropped Jess' and she had to get a new one so she gave him the old one)
I am bored. DH is in the garage, Jess is doing something in her room and Erin has a friend over. I made Jess come with me to buy sundaes earlier which I now feel guilty for eating LOL.
Haha funny you mention sundaes....I have one in the fridge, but Darcy won't settle enough to let me eat it...serves me right.
I've got an indestructable rubber coated 'brickies' phone. No joke, so Darcy is allowed to play with that and nothing else. I found our home phone had been off the hook 80 mins yesterday....
Once I found Erin playing with the phone when she was about 18 months and she was babbling away into it and I realised she was talking to someone!! I had to get on and say sorry my baby accidentally called you then hang up, heaven knows where they were! I realised that Riley has taken heaps of photos with my phone yesterday. I should let him play with Jess' new one cause her phone bills are enormous! (last month $300- she works to pay for her phone habit LOL)
holey dooley $300!!! I have a heart attack when mine's over $30.
Ended up sharing the sundae with the Dragon and now am going to try and get her to lay down with me.....
Neverplan- I can understand you are excited about getting out of the house. Part of me is excited about going back to school cause I do love my job. IKWYM about getting rid of the kids! DH has been home all holidays and is sick of them and Erin is desperate to be with her friends again too. Jess isn't so excited about Yr 10 but then its not cool to like school at that age LOL.
Kim- hope you enjoyed the sundae, maybe the dragon will get a job at Maccas when she's older and she can keep you in sundaes like Jess does for me! I have eaten more in the past year than in my whole life LOL.
Don't be sorry Vic, I'm glad you're excited.
Oh no Christine, I so don't need any more sundaes, having consisten supplies would be awful for me. My sis's wedding is in about 5 weeks and I've not lost the weight I wanted. I just don't have the drive this time round. I lost 20kg to go to the accademy, cos I REALLY wanted to be there, just don't have that this time. That and it's so hot who could be bothered exercising?
D-day for me today, so if I don't get back on, good luck to you girls who start back tomorrow. Got to try and squeeze in some sleep after my crap night (late nights do not agree with Darcy), but she won't have her regular sleeps today, so should be interesting....
Erch! We were just driving along and some twat with a whipper snipper shot up a rock and smashed Darcy's window! Poor thing got a terrible fright, but the bloke with the whipper snipper got a bigger one when Cameron jumped out and nearly ate him LOL.
Now we can't take Darcy anywhere until the window gets fixed. It is covered by our insurance, but the claims dept is shut today so we're not sure if we have to pay the $357 for the window plus the $120 callout fee and they reimburse us or not. Justwaht we need.
Kim, that is so scary about the window. Glad Darcy wasn't hurt though. Goodluck back at work tomorrow.
Thanks Alison, it's tonight though...6.30-7am...woooohooo NOT!
I was due to go btw 8th Jan but decided against it ... after doing sums it wasn't really worth it. Childcare is shockingly expensive ...maybe that's what I should think about doing next (lol)
Hi Clare, welcome to may babies!
I'm Kim, mum to Darcy the Dragon. I'm lucky enough that bot of us are shift workers and my DH is rostered off my nights.
Look forward to getting to know you! :D
Hope everything goes well Kim, horrible about Darcy's window that must have scared you. I am trying to get the house tidied before I go to work tomorrow. I have to work out what to pack for Riley as I've never left a baby in FDC before, I feel teary just thinking about it. I am also feeling weird about going back to work with new people starting who are young and pretty LOL (I know I'm weird but I always think people will like me less if there are new nicer people, I was the youngest for 10 years so its hard to get used to having lots more younger staff) OK enough of my neuroses! (sp?)
Kim I hope its quiet for you at work and the Dragon is good for her dad.
ETA Welcome Clare, you are so lucky to be able to stay home LOL. Maybe you should do FDC, there seems to be a shortage of places atm.
Hi Kim
I really am just getting used to this site, I have been away doing the bath routine ..what fun. Looking forward to getting to know you too! How do I know without coming back to this original message that you have replied to me, is there an easier way?? (sorry for the basics)
neverplan, it's really great WAHM however sometimes I think it might be good to do something part-time, am considering at the moment even if it was evening work, getting married in Jan 2008 so xtra $ would be handy ... it all helps:lol:
Neverplan- thanks for the advice re packing, the lady he is going to said send a big pack of nappies and wipes and she will let me know when they are nearly finished. I will probably overpack clothes and food but i guess I'll get the hang of it. I am going to see how he goes with just water for the 7 hrs he'll be there and bf him straight before and after. A bit nervous about that. Our kids don't go until tuesday. tomorrow is just meetings and setting up our rooms. Tell DD i hope she has a lovely day.
Clare- if you select notify me of replies in your user profile you'll get an email if someone posts in a thread you have posted in.
tks heaps! glad you n oticed I was struggling christine, looking forward to speaking soon :D
Thats Ok, I was laughing to myself as I advised you cause I am hopeless with computers LOL! My yr 5 class used to help me do anything remotely tricky.
Which area of Sydney are you in?
Didn't manage to find it  Is it in my user profile?
I live on lower north shore Cremorne, im actually 'from' the UK - Nottingham if we are really talking where we from:) - you?
:bedtime: signing off as SYTYCD is on tv, hopefully speak soon
What are you watching???
I think email notification is in user profile, it should be.
I am in northern suburbs/ Hornsby. How long have you been in Australia?
Its Ok I worked it out! So you think you can dance? My brain is mush after 11 months off work LOL.
Hi again C, been in Oz 5 yrs. Met my fiance here (he's aussie). Im watching 'so you think you can dance' american thing, have you watched before?
LOL yes you worked it out, I have baby brain too! They do that to us don't they. My memory is just so shocking, these bubs should come with warning labels! LOL
DD in bed, DP listening to ipod, me hav e to make some calls but would like to chat soon re crawling/standing/walking, DD not crawling yet but almost there, she 'slides' backwards LOL
Kim ~ OMG so glad Dracy is alright try to enjoy you r first night back
Christine ~ i'll be thinking of you too
welcome Clare ~ i love your bubbas name thats the name i had picked for Ryan had he been a girl
Hi Shazz,
Malea was DP choice from a baby name book, means flower in hawaiian apparently, very cute, choosing names is so hard don't you reckon? :)
Clare ~ most definately i got to name ryan and i was so nervous coming up with a name both he and i could live with for the rest of our lives i don't think there is anything worse then a kid hating their name and resenting the parents
Good morning (I think) Had a cr@p night with Riley and have woken up with a headache. Feel really weird about going to work and leaving R. will probably burst into tears at school but thats OK cause they are all friends and I have lots of support.
Shazz- I like the name Ryan, good choice ! DH would never give me free reign on names LOL, we had heaps of trouble cause I am pretty traditional and he likes all these Irish names with weird spelling. We had a girl's name picked really quickly Olivia Rose but boys name took ages.
Kim- you would be just finished work now, hope it went well.
Leanne- when do you go back? Its this week isn't it.
Delta-Blue- thinking of you back at school too, maybe we can swap ideas sometimes.
Lea- hope you are all well and recovered from holidaying LOL.
Clare- Riley doesn't have any teeth and doesn't crawl, DD#1 crawled at 9 months then walked at 10months!! DD#2 was a little lump so she crawled at 10 months and walked at 13, they are all different but they all get it in the end.
Neverplan- enjoy your Hayley free day! Think of me, my DD#2 goes to my school so theres never a break LOL She hassles me in the playground for canteen money.
My brain has switched off so apologies to anyone I have forgotten. OOPs Elissa hope you are well and have sorted out your TTC plan LOL I rec. 8 years LOL
See you after school :boohoo:
Good luck today Christine. I am the same, I will probably cry once I walk into the staff room. I had a cry while feeding Cooper last night, its going to be so hard, but this year I will do most of my work from home, not back at school, so I can race home to spend time with him. What days are you working? My first day back is tomorrow (pupil free day also). I'd be happy to share ideas as I have had grade 1 many times. I get grade 5/6 now as no one else will have them and they know they can put me anywhere in the school.
Morning all! :D Had a pretty uneventful night, and Darcy slept from 8-6;30am! she never ever does that to me!
Hope you girls at work are ok!
I really want to type more but i have a helper who won't leave me alone and so will BBL.....
hi all!
tried to post last night but computer seized up on me so i gave up!
clare - i love that name we have it picked if we ever have a girl.
hope all you teachers are having a great first day back at work, im sure your bubs are enjoying their day too.
Archie has just woken up, better go get him up and wrestle him on the change table...
