Well i am happy to report that i am back online permanetly now!!!! I came to my computer thismorning and my Norton had a notice on the computer that said it had detected 2 trojans and removed them from my computer!!!! I could'nt believe it. So i think that i must'nt have had the anti-virus updates up to date!! I AM SOOOO HAPPY!!!!
Not much on today. I hope that the rain goes away soon cause my house is stinking big time!!! Its so hard to do anything in the wet weather. I need to get all my washing dried but it takes about 3 days to dry properly. Its not raining now but aparently there is a cyclone heading our way now!!! ARRHHHHH. To make things worse, the longer the rain sticks around the less chance brent has of working!! You can't win!!!

Sorry for the lack of personals, but I am a few days behind. Being back at work has given me less time to devote to BB. I did ok going back, had a couple of cries on the first day. Its not too hard leaving in the morning, knowing Cooper is spending the day with his dad really helps. CC will be a different story. I dont think I like my grade very much...hopefully I can get tough on them and sort them out. (they walked all over their teacher last year and think they can do it again with me...NOT going to happen)
Cooper is sleeping through the night again, most nights anyway. I think 1 night this week Tony slept with him in the spare bed, but the other nights he has managed to resettle and sleep all night in his cot. (Hope I dont jinx myself for saying that)
Hope you have all had a great week. I will try and get on during the day at work so I dont fall too far behind again. (priorities :lol: )

Archie has finally started sleeping again, think he was just seeing how far he could manipulate me before i snapped he he, can't believe im having power struggles with a 9 month old, but he has been very strong willed since he was 1 day old! not looking forward to the terrible 2s!
Good morning ladies and babies! Its been very quiet here the last few days, I guess cause so many of us are back at work.
Delta- don't you hate 1st term when you are trying to get your discipline sorted out, I used to alwas cry for the 1st term saying I'd never get them to behave etc and then after that I loved them and it was all good! (this was a few years ago LOL) I only had my class for half a day wed. as that was when we formed the new classes- they seem very active !!! (and confident LOL) Is your school in a "difficult" area ? Have you taught there before?
Sara- hope the cyclone stays away, good that Brent has a job but bummer he has to be away so much, $30 an hour doesn't seem enough for being away that much.

Briley does most nights but normally wakes up a few times, takes the dummy and goes back to sleep. Lucky i am on the far side of the bed and its easy for brent to have to get up to her!!! ;) He he!
Mrs Mac - Sorry i am not sure of your first name yet!!! As much as i want the rain i am keeping everything crossed that the rain stays away so that Brent can go to work. We are starting to struggle big time now. And its going to be even harder now i have finished work.
Widdly - Don't know your name either!! Sorry. Thats what happens when you away so much i suppose! Its amazing how determined the little ones are is'nt it!!! Briley gets so cranky with herself and other sometimes. Its naughty but you can't help but laugh!!
Well we are going to stay at mums for the night tonight cause Briley has to go and see the specialist at the hosptial for her eye again. Its just a check-up from the last visit too make sure everything is ok. Her eye is fine though. Sometimes it gets a little weepy but nothing compared to what it was.
So yeah...i am going to mums and Brent is going fishing for the day. So thats us.

Can't believe it's Sunday again! I'm going on a silent strike today, to see if any of my jobs get done....I doubt it.
Term 1 is hard, its just so busy setting up the program and the classroom...and DISCIPLINE!!! The school I am at is in a very difficult area, but I have taught in a few schools like that before. The discipline isnt the problem, its when they have had a teacher previously who cant control them and they come to me thinking they can do the same in my room...not going to happen. I will try to have them sorted out quick smart. This is the third year I have taught at this school, but last year it was only for 8 weeks before I went on mat. leave. Whats your school like?:

kim - had a giggle imagining Darcy with a pout on her face, from a few things u have said about her it sounds as though we both have bubs with very strong personalities! Oh and about the strike, i did one yesterday, all it achieved was me going out and cleaning the backyard and shed (the dog dragged rubbish around the yard cause DH didn't block the shed off) then realising that if i want something done i have to do it myself! So tomorrow i am going to find a screwdriver and fix the TV cabinet so that Archie won't hurt himself on it,......bl@@dy DH!

Widdly - Briley had a blocked tear duct. We saw the specialist about 3-4 months ago about it but they said it normally corrects itself, which it has. So yeah we just have to go back tomorrow for a check-up on it.
Kim - Yeah its good too be back. Especially since i am not working anymore! I did have the net on while i was working but i was too tired to even bother turning the computer on. Its going to be good to be able to keep up with everything again!
Leanne - Good luck with tomorrow! I am sure you'll be fine.
Well i just had a beautiful silverside dinner!! The best thing about it was that i did'nt even have to do the washing up! I love coming to mums!!!

Hi there girls & bubba's.....such a looooong time since I have posted in here. I think I have missed an entire thread, POO. I have been a bit slack of late, I know, I know I deserve a big smack.
No teeth for little Miss Phoebe, but she is soooooo close to crawling. She is going really well, sleeping all night and been a absolute angel during the day. Becoming quite chatty, saying DAD, MUM & NAN, and just lately has started to say BOT BOT (bottle). She has started to get up on her knees in her cot when she wakes up. Instead of crying out when she has woken and ready to get up...she rocks in her cot and it bangs against the wall, she thinks it's hilarious.....giggling and chuckling like a little chicken.
Well the house we are living in has been sold and we have just under 5 weeks to move....and we haven't found anywhere else 'eek'. I'm stressing big time. I'm looking forward to moving, being closer to everything I need....just hate the moving of everything. The last time we moved was before children, so I think it might be a little more difficult with 2 little ones to watch as well.
I got into my first preference Tafe Course, that starts on the 14th Feb and I have also set the ball rolling to return to work. I will only be doing 10 - 15 hours at work and at night, so DH can look after the little ones....this way it is less impact on them (kids).
I will definately have to get in and post more often, I haven't had chance to read any posts and so have no idea what anyone is upto.

Well as you can see I am not at work. All three of us have a gastro bug. Both ends and violently too. I have never felt this cr@ppy for a long time. Great for changing nappies too. NOT!

Well i had a pretty terrible nights sleep. I think Briley must have woken up about....oh i dont know....1000 times!!!!! She did'nt sleep well at all. I think her gums must be playing up on her again. She is happy as larry now though. Daddy is giving her brekky while we speak.
I have woken up with some pretty painful cramps thismorning. I think that i was having them during the night aswell. You know how you can feel the cramps in your sleep. I hope everything is ok. I could'nt imagine miscarrying at almost 15 weeks. I might just take some panadol.
Leanne - That bug must be going around. Thats what i had last week. Its pretty terrible!! Hope you all feel better soon.
Karen - Hi there! I have been away for a while too but i am back online. Great to hear that Phoebe is going well. Briley has'nt learnt any new words yet but she has learnt to clap hands. Its so cute!!! What are you planning to study at TAFE??? I start uni this month. I'm so excited! Good luck with it all.
I forgot to mention yesterday that i had Briley in her cot and i could hear her making some noise so i went in there and she had pulled herself up onto her knees and was leaning on the side on the cot!!! She was so happy with herself too the little monkey! Oh and she is clapping hands!!
Well we are off the hospital today. Just for the check-up on Briley's eye. Then tomorrow we are going to get some photos done!!! I can't wait to see how Briley goes. I have to find a few cute outfits for her too wear.

Archie has been a joy today, although i think he has bashed his head about 6 times today, big ones too! Lucky hes tough.
Neverplan - OMG what kind of school is this???? I sent a note home today saying all pencils, crayons etc are provided by the school and no one has to bring a pencil case or anything. Our govt. schools provide K-2 with all their pencils etc parents have to buy them only after that. I have no idea why they would say that but if it was me I'd have the s-h-i-t-s something shocking about that.

First of all I apologise for being MIA!!!! Its been crazy around here with me trying to get enrolled into uni!! I'm still waiting on second round offers before I make the huge effort of trying to squeeze this current degree into Em's CC days. Hopefully I will get offered Nursing externally which means I don't have to worry about squeezing classes in. I was supposed to get the offers today but they didn't come in the mail :( So instead I am going to do ironing, ring the bank and *maybe* clean my car!
The Big Day Out was fantastic!! It was so disgustingly hot but the were squirting us down with hoses in the mosh pit which helped some :lol: My favourite acts were The Killers (EXCELLENT), My Chemical Romance, Jet, Eskimo Joe and John Butler Trio!!! It was a really good day despite the heat! We will definitely be going again next year!

Jayden is crawling around like a pro and is trying his hardest to walk, he is fine while I'm holding him of course. He stands against everything and he has just learnt to clap on command, its too cute!! He was watching Kelly on Hi-5 this morning and he was clapping away to her song when it finished he crawled over to the table, stood up and practiced his sitting and standing technique!! I can't believe how fast it all happens only 2 weeks ago he was barely crawling!!
I have bought heaps of toys and clothes off ebay since being down here too, Chris rings me and keeps asking "Now what have you bought" as he can either see the money coming out of my account or he has logged into ebay and has seen haha either way I'm getting in trouble hehe
Well I better get ready to go....what to wear though.....38 degrees yesterday and about 18 today....hmmm

The photos went great! Not that i got to see a preview of them but i think they will turn out fantastic! And beautiful. Briley had 3 poses. The first was in a dress she got for christmas from my uncle and the last 2 were in the studios props. The 2'nd was of her with no top on surrounded by a pink boa, pearls around her neck and a halo of roses and the 3'rd was of her again topless sitting in a big basket covered in roses! They are going to be great cause she was smiling like a trooper for all of them. I can't wait to see the end product. It wont be for 3 weeks though.
Oh and sorry i forgot to mention how the dr went yesterday. It went well. Briley has to go back again in 4 months to re-check cause i was'nt 100% convinced that they had cleared up. They still weep and get a little gunky sometimes so i would rather them re-check in a while. But other than that her eyes work perfectly.

Briley is not yet. She too claps her hands! Its the cutest thing. Tonight brent and her were laying on the lounge together and he was holding fingers up going 1 and then hold 2 fingers up for 3 and she would do it back too him. It was amazing! She is such a clever little thing. And happy. Everyone always comments on how much of a happy baby she is. She always gives people a smile when they are talking to her. Its great too see. I am so proud.

The pics you have had taken of Briley sound adorable...can't wait to see them. I hope the nights are getting better with Briley, Phoebe has been waking during the night a couple times over the last few weeks, no real dramas, but the only way she will re-settle is by giving her a bottle...other than that she is a little champion with sleeping all night. It's a bit of a shock when they have been sleeping through and then all of a sudden you get a few nights of broken sleep. But I guess it comes with the territory. How cute @ Briley clapping her hands.
Nat ~ I hope you get that second round offer....it would be a shame after putting in all that work for the STAT test and not getting something out of it. We are hoping to move closer to work and tafe for me, no luck at the moment....we have a dog and I think that is going to hinder us a little. Such a pain in the *ss that most property managers request and application first before even being able to view the property. I just want it all done and get some of the stress it is causing out of my life and get back to normal. Good to hear that the Big Day Out was good, the heat would have killed me I think.
Elissa ~ Definately moving is a great time to get rid of sh*t, our bins are FULL every week and there is a huge load of cr@p for the dump. I'll be glad to get it out of my life. DE-CLUTTER is the aim.

For the teachers here – what degree’s did you do and what did you major in? Any advice?? I am doing a Bach of Educ (Primary & Middle) and I’m thinking I will majoy in Biology & English. Is that a strange combination??

Sara ~ I got an offer in first round but stuffed up my preferences so I went straight to my education preferences. But like I said I’m really happy about it – like you I’ve never been so sure that I’m on the right path. I can see myself being a teacher more then a midwife – plus the hours are HEAPS better hehe! I am still debating the full time vs part time thing. I have no reason to rush and I want to apply myself 100% therefore I don’t want to be overloaded. I was thinking of doing a 75% load so in between part time and full time. O-week starts 19th here as well. Then classes the following week!!

mum had Archie at her place from 1:30 til 7 today! She just came to our house and said she wanted him so off they went and i didnt hear from her til 7pm! i didn't know what to do with myself, i missed him so much!! he always has a great time with her though, they seem to have a really strong bond already, he had a really long afternoon sleep there too!

One subject clashes with another but its a teaching prac that goes for full week so that's gonna clash with everything right??? :dunno: And then another subject that seems to have auto enrolled me into 2 of the same lectures :dunno: ... ahhh the beauty of enrolling on line!!

Lea- good luck with the enrolling. If you need any help with your course just ask. I am K-6 trained but we didn't major in other subjects so can't help you there, I went to a College of Advanced Education and did a Diploma of Education, our whole course went on prac together so it never clashed with anything. I have found with uni students I hve had on prac. that some of the unis don't take prac into consideration and it can get confusing with subjects.

Well i have woken up to find that we are on Cyclone watch. Not happy jan. Oh and did i mention that Brent, being a male, got my car, a 2001 Toyota Camry, bogged. Our driveway got washed away from the last rain we had and there are lots of big ruts which my car bottoms out on. So i decided to try and come down the side path but the gate was too small to get through. So...brent decided to turn the vehicle around after i tell him not too and he got it bogged well and truely. Then.....got his car bogged! So we have no idea how we are going to get them out. And now its starting to rain again. Not that its stopped in the past 2 weeks.
So yes i have a little dilemma on my hands here. We have too get the cars out before the big rains of the cyclone come down.

Well my week started out with a really nasty deceased (joys of the job) and got worse last night with DH threatening to leave 3 minutes before i had to go to work with nowhere ot leave Darcy. Compunded by the 15hrs sleepI'v have in total this week (no joke), it really doesn't feel like it can get any worse.....
kim - sorry youa re having a ***** week, lack of sleep is the worst form of troture, i don't handle it well at all, hope things change for the better soon! My mum is the only one i trust with Archie so far, she was at his birth and her and i are good friends and have the same parenting ideals so i definately trust her completely with my little prince.

Have been back at work two days. It feels like I have not left and getting up at 5:20 of a morning could take some getting used to again.
Katy's loving school (did finger painting yesterday!!!), and all the teachers love her.
We're over our little gastro thingy thank goodness and everyone seems pleased to see me at work again.
Other than that not much to report.
Will try to be on tomorrow or Friday night for more personals.
