Just poppin in to say hi. Feeling quite down tonight. Mum came out today and we had a big fight. First time in a long time.
Brent called lastnight. He told me that the reason he did'nt call on Friday was cause the bosses put seafood and pi** on after work and he forgot! I knew alcohol had to be involved! He comes back early this week cause they could'nt get any other flights cause of easter. So he will be back tuesday now. I am glad cause i really need to see him after today. He is the one i turn too when i fight with my mum. I really needed him today.
Briley is good. She is starting to get sooky when people leave now. When my mum was leaving today she chucked a tanty on me and started crying. I think she is beginning to understand the leaving part of things. Not good for when Brent leaves!

My mate Michelle, the one who had the baby a couple of months ago, pulled the same thing on me today!! I nearly choked! Then she said, APRIL FOOLS!!!
Just thought I’d pop in and post a bit before I get some of this assignment done. Its really quite huge and I’m freaking out! I have done most of the actual ‘work’ though – the rest is just researching, printing and photocopying etc. I really should be working on it now but I’ve missed you guys!!!
Tania ~ LOVE the new pic of Jayden. He is just too cute! Grrr to your SIL! I’d be so annoyed. Being late for work is not on – for you or for her! LOL @ your SIL and the MCN. I know people like that as well. I think they’re cute and cost effective hence my reason for wanting to convert. Unlike old nappies they don’t need to be scrubbed – you just chuck ‘em in the wash. If any more effort was needed there’d be a resounding ‘pfffft’ from my end of the line lol! I always read everyones posts lol! How funny that Jayden does that with your hands because so does Em! He thinks its great! I think the cream is about $9 or maybe $13 but no more then that.
Vic ~ Your Friday nights sound great :D Where’s my invite lol ;) I have only tried a Peapod so far which is a pocket nappy. I’ve just ordered an AIO to try as well. Both nappies are the type that don’t need covers. I will try the fitted and covers for overnight sleeps though. I am only slowly building my stash up though. They aren’t cheap even if I do save money in the long run!
Kim ~ That’s not TMI lol. I hadn’t heard that about depo injections. When I was looking into them with my Dr he said that you’re fertile as soon as you’re off them, just like the pill and the implant. When did you stop the injections?!?! TEST TEST TEST lol! Let me know if you need any help with the nappy stuff. I’m no expert but I have managed to decipher the lingo lol and I know where you can pick up cheap nappies just to try out! Pmsl that was the cake I was going to make! My mum has convinced me that making a train would be a better idea hehe! Grrrrr to your darn IL’s. Don’t invite the IL’s. Do what ever it takes. Even if you have to take Darcy there to see them to keep them away. That way they think they have won but you are really getting what you want. LOVE the new ticker picture of Darcy!
Sara ~ How on earth do you find the time to read a whole book!?!? I couldn’t manage that! I started one ages ago and I’ve still only read 22 pages hehe! Grrrr @ Brent not being there to answer your call over a **** up! I hope you can sort things out with your mum soon. I hate fights like that! When are the IL’s coming to stay?
I don’t sterilize and haven’t for a few months now. It seemed pointless when he was throwing everything on the floor and then eating it lol. In saying that I kept going until I got sick of the bucket in the kitchen and I needed the room hehe! It was easy enough to do.
Em has been fantastic the last few days. He’s got so many new tricks and is starting to interact and toddle around more as well. He’s still quite unsteady and will drop down to crawl because its faster but he’s getting there. He’s booked in for a hair cut this week so I hope that doesn’t make him look too much older!
Well I think that’s it from me tonight. If you hear from me before Tuesday give me a cyber kick up the butt and tell me to get this assignment done lol. Its worth 50% of my grade so I shouldn’t be posting in here till its finished!!

We'll I took the day off today to spend time with my mother and grandmother, and have been as sick as a dog with the flu since I submitted my leave form last Thurs. Why is that always the way?
So, just popping in to say HI, and then back to bed for me. My head hurts..... oh, and don't you hate it when you have blown your nose like 5,000 times and your nose goes crusty and your top lip gets all swollen and dry. Such a great look eh?

We had a weird night - not only was it April Foos but it was a full moon as well, so not only are there practical jokers, but nutters too....grrr why do people think it's funny to waste emergency service time for a joke??? :angry:
I was really nauseas all night and then I had to chase a prowler so that made me feel better - NOT. I have ordered some tests though, so if I'm not pregnant I'm a hyperchondriac lol. On the upside, Cam feels bad for me and has ironed about 10 police hsirts so that's half I don't have to do.
Cam let me sleep right through my personal training session this aftrenoon :dunno: he forgot and wanted me to sleep.
hehehe this arvo before her bath I took Darcy's nappy off so she could have half an hour without it, well of course she did a little poo which I caught with a cloth nappy - no biggy, then she crawled off and was quiet for ages. I found her in the laundry playing in poo! :lol: I told Cam to go and get her and put her in the bath, but I nearly wet myself laughing when I heard him gagging. Dunno why he's gagging - I'm the nauseas one.

I let Em take a rusk into the bath once because he wouldn't let go of it and I thought he was chomping on the mushy left over parts and he'd done a poo and was eating it :o Groooooosssss lol! It will definitely be worth it in the end. And I must admit despite the work load I am enjoying it! That was lovely that Cam let you sleep through - pity about missing the session though. Well I better get back to it. My journal for my assignment alone was over 9000 words :o holy crapola! Its one of those assignments that you could just keep working on constantly so I will be working on it till I have to leave for uni tomorrow I suppose!
Em has his Peapod on overnight again tonight. The first time it leaked but I was lazy and didn't let it dry completely and he had 3 bottles that night instead of the normal 2. So here's hoping it goes better tonight!
Nat I've been researching them. Do you have the overnight pad that goes in with the other one? They look like the ones I will go with I think.
PMSL Kim at Darcy playing in pooh. We've had about 10 here today. And Kaitlyn tried a few sultana's yesterday for the first time, so guess what we had in there - yep looked like whole grapes! I know probably TMI.

We had a busy day today. Picked up mum and my grandmother and went shopping. Four generations of girls all out shopping. Boy was it tiring. And between me blowing my nose coughing, and cleaning up poohy nappies I was kept pretty busy.
I am pooped.
Off to bed for me I think. Another big day at work tomorrow. Thank goodness for short work weeks!

Night Leanne! Sounds like you had fun today despite the cold! How did Katy go with sultanas? I haven't tried Em with them yet. Hadn't thought to. 4 generations that is fantastic!
Kim The one he's got on now is a pocket nappy which is where you the back has an opening and you stuff it with the absorbent material. He has the normal insert plus a night booster in there right now. The pockets are good because you can take out the inserts and hang them all separately so they dry quicker. I have a Beaut Bots AIO second coming to try now as well. :) I'll let you know how it goes!
Back to the studying. I'm soooooo tired from only getting 4 hours sleep last night!
Sultanas are gross aren't they? Darcy though manages to eat all the insides and spit out the skin lol, don't know how she does it.

Shazz: I hold back to keep the peace, if SIL#1 won’t look after Jayden I’d have no one else to look after him. As far as the food thing goes both her and MIL knows how p*$$ed off I was about that.
Vic: Your Friday nights sound good!! How rude of the IL’s to even make that kind of comparison!! Your right grandparents should just be loving and accept the kids for who they are! The SIL that is FDC mum is ok she gives him what I tell her, she alters the times a bit but that’s no big deal. She looks after him Tuesday to Thursday so MIL & SIL#1 both have him on Mondays and SIL#1 has him Fridays
Kim: Yes they are mum’s themselves but they have obviously forgotten or maybe they didn’t care what they gave their kids when they are sick (some of the nieces & nephews you can tell haha). That wasn’t TMI at all….. Good luck I hope you get a BFP soon!! How is Cam with his family? I wouldn’t invite them, it’s a special day and you don’t want it ruined by ppl like that! Eww Darcy!! Feeling like i am getting ANOTHER cold today. I have been coughing and have a bit of a snotty nose. Feeling really drained too. Thanks god Brent gets back today!
Speaking of Brent, he stood me up again lastnight! He called first thing thismorning and reckoned the phonelines were down!! BULLSH*T!!! I could just tell by his voice that he was hungover!! Why oh why does he persit on lying to me. I can see straight through his lies. I was so tired of it all.

Yesterday must have been the day for our littlins to sneak off and be quiet and into things. Briley was playing in her room yesterday ( which i might add she has been doing heaps of lately!!) and she was quiet so i went to check on her. Well she had a tub of Sudocreme is her hand and was eating it!!! She had it all over her face and everything. As soon as i spotted her i gasped so she could hear me and she threw the tub!! It was so funny! Sprung!!! Was a good photo moment but!

Nat - 9000 words!!!!!!!! Holy dooly!!! Whats that for???? IL's will be here round the 14th of April. So not too far away! I was pretty lucky to be able to read a book that weekend. Briley behaved quite well. And i did stay up pretty late Friday night reading it. The book was completely addictive! I think i might read it again. I hate when you buy or borrow a book that your so into that you dont want it too end but it does. I just want to the story to do on and on!
Tania - How are you hun?? Have'nt caught up with you on MSN for ages. How's work going?? I have been getting your emails and checking out the blogs of Jayden. I have to do it at uni though cause i only have dial up at home.

The cold has died down but I can't get rid of the cough. I had a coughing fit ont he train to work this morning and the person sitting next to me asked me to tone it down. What the???? So in disgust I turned my music up so everyone could hear it. I got some smiles from the other train'ers so I know it was an okay thing to do. SOME PEOPLE eh?
We've (I've) decided I am not going to have a party for Katy. Just going to take that day off work, send her to school for half a day with some nice pink and purple iced cup cakes, and make her a nice butterfly cake (or something like that) and have the family over for a cuppa that night. That'll do. I just don't have the energy.
Kim - well have to go out for a cuppa (just us girls) and celebrate the girls birthdays together.

Hi I am back! had an OK weekend (DH got in a mood- long story) I had a sort of mini meltdown sunday night (no medication, too much stress) spent monday at home crying but things are much better now.
Riley is over his cold/chest infection but still not sleeping. We are booked to go to Tresillian on 28th May if not before. I am very nervous but I can't keep going like this.
Jess is still not completely better but tests are still inconclusive, we think maybe irritable bowel?
Looking forward to holidays but have to get through Easter Hat parade and drama performance tomorrow! The drama teacher is very ambitious my year 1 s are doing excerpts from The Tempest! It should be interesting.

As you all know I've been flat out with two major assignments over the past few weeks. They are the first assignments I have handed up so I was a bit nervous about them. Well I got them back today and I got 2 High Distinctions :dance: :dance: :dance: I was sooooo happy as you can imagine!!
We also got our teacher prac placements today and I've been placed at a primary school 2 minutes away from home!! I couldn't believe it!That will make things so much easier with Em etc!!!
Then I came home to lovely cooked meal of tacos and then sat down to watch the last episode of Heroes we have on DVD. So a great day for me!!!

Jodie: I am the same with Jayden’s baby book….most of it is filled out but there are a lot of his milestones that I keep “meaning” to write down and I keep forgetting, then there are the things that aren’t in the book like the little things they do and say etc. I have another notebook for things like that but there’s nothing in it as I never remember at the time.
Kim: The cleaning fairy that lives here doesn’t think he should have to clean as he works!! With that theory our house would be pretty dirty seen as I work FT too. Are you feeling any better?
I had an annoying day at work today. There were some boxes left near the recycling bin that hadn’t been crushed yet, the 2 boys that had them were saying that it wasn’t their job to crush and put them away and each said the other should do it. I cracked the s**ts and said to one of them (who is 63 & should know better) It’s a 5 min job it could have been done by now….and in his usual patronizing voice said “I think you’ll find it takes a bit more than 5 minutes my dear” GRR :angry: ……..I stormed out with a Stanley knife and hacked away at the boxes myself and was done in less than 10mins. A delivery guy turned up and said “oh are you out here today?” and I said “No, I wouldn’t be out here if the boys knew how to clean up after themselves” He just laughed of course. I get really annoyed at one of them as he is forever complaining why he can’t do something ‘I haven’t been trained’ ‘I’d go but they took the company car off me and why should I use my own’( the car was taken off him well before I went on leave to have Jayden….get over it already). That’s enough whinging about work from me.
Jayden’s check up went well, he is 9.96kgs now….I really thought he’d hit the 10kg mark but he has had the runs for just under a week so he may have lost some there, she said otherwise he was looking gorgeous and healthy. I have concluded hospitals and Jayden don’t mix, we visited FIL in hospital Sunday and Jayden pulled himself up on something and it turned and he slipped hitting his chin on it and grazing it, then at his checkup (child health at the hospital) he was sitting on the ground while CHN and I were talking and his fell and hit his forehead on the corner of her desk….OMG she paniced!! Said it was going to bruise REALLY badly and have a huge lump and sometimes the skull can be fractured (not that she was trying to scare me). I said I’d keep an eye on him but I’m sure he’d be fine as he’d stopped crying, if he had a fractured skull I’m sure he’s either be passed out or still crying. Anyway there is a tiny line of a bruise down his forehead and no lump.

Vic: That sheep story was so funny. Isn't it funny how you can really be 'acting' out dreams. I once threw myself off the end of the bed backwards. Wonder why I woke up with a splitting headache and a massive bruise on my arm. Did not even wake up. Must have been dreaming of bungy jumping or diving or something! LOL :)

I never remember to write things down. Sometimes I am glad that Katy is at 'school' cause at the end of the year we get a scrapbook which has her art work, and photos they have taken and things she's said and done. Which makes me happy cause I sometimes feel like I am missing so much. I have two paintings of hers on my wall at work now - so cute. I have written a few things down but nothing really since going back to work in Feb.
I do a little bit of digital scrapbooking (less expensive), but I rarely find the time to do it. I have not touched any pages since the Christmas card we did. How bad is that?
Kim - how ya feeling? How did the antenatal meet up go? Did the bubbas enjoy playland?
Tania - I would have been annoyed too. Nothing worse then lazy procratinating people at work. Ticks me off too. I'm always hearing "it's not in my job description to do that'. Funny thing is, I have NEVER seen a copy of our job description. So I say, 'get over yourself!". :rolleyes:
Good to hear that Jayden is doing well. Kaitlyn's always banging her head lately. Sometimes she looks like a little abused kid, and I feel like wearing a shirt (she's learning to walk - and likes adventure!).
Well my flu is almost gone. (fingers crossed). Last night I only woke once with a coughing fit at about 2am but after a swig (and a big one at that) of the cough mixture bottle I was able to go back to sleep.

I so get you on the bloke thing Tania, though I have to admit, sometimes they really surprise you too. i still express and not one of them has had a heart attack about it or freaked out about the milk in the fridge. Last night there was a rumble with a mental health patient no-one wanted to go to, so off I go with a brand new probationer. I talked him into the ambo no probs but then got in trouble cos I've got kidney pain and I shouldn't be getting nito fights! :dunno: I promptly got sent home.
Still feeling crappy, but I know it's not in my head. Might go to the doc's tomorrow and get a bt. My kidneys (which put me in hospital pre Darcy and now require blood thinners for any subsequent pregs due to their failure under pressure) are hurting big time despite the 3l of water I drink every day.
Well the Dragon is fighting sleep tonight big time and it's been a huge struggle and I can hear my DH snoring despite shut doors and a whole floor between us, so I'm guessing I'm in for a good night.....
ETA OMG Vic at the car and the groceries!!!!!
Leanne only Mel and Alison and I went. Don't know what happened to the other two. It was OK. Where I usually go it's empty and I don't have to pay. At Lollipops it was $4 for me and chockers, and when she's 1 it will cost $12 for her to get in....won't be going back there. Think i'll stick to my elcheapo with better play equipment.

Been on the run getting everything ready today and tonight. I am satisfied that i have everything though. So now i am going to bed to try and get a good nights sleep. Briley has been waking up a fair bit since i put her down at 7pm. Her gums must be hurting so i hope its not going to continue throughout the night.

I’m officially on uni break for 3 weeks – yahoo!!! It feels great! Though I have already written out a list of things that I need to get done lol!!! Not too much homework thank god but I do need to clean the garage out because soon I won’t be able to fit my car in there lol!!!
I had a great day today. We both slept in and then I dropped Em off to CC. I did all the washing and cleaned the house. I then made dinner and a chocolate cheesecake as well. I organized my uni stuff and wrote out my lists (I love lists lol) and started working on my finances and stuff. Misjudged time though because I have to leave for work in 10 minutes!! So I’m just gonna type hard and fast and will just have to stop when I have to leave lol. So sorry if I miss people!

We’ve had a few big moments in the past few days! The first is that Em had his first hair cut!!! He looks so much more grown up!! And he was so well behaved for it as well! The second is that we got his first artwork from CC. It doesn’t sound like much but I was so proud and I can’t wait to scrapbook it!!! I actually got a bit teary when I saw it lol!!

things are gradually improving around here although DH has gone out with his mate from work and heaven knows when he will be home, the mate is fairly into illegal substances so i get a bit stressed.
Easter Hat parade went well, all the teachers wore fluffy bunny ears which the kids loved. My classes play went well too and Erin was brilliant in hers (no bias!) Holidays now!!! Erin is staying up to celebrate! Riley had a really late nap so he is up too, although he is whinging at my feet.
Nat- well done on the assignment, what grade is your prac on? Please email me if you need any help at all.

Leanne: That’s funny I have never seen my job description either but apparently its picking up after old lazy technicians LOL I feel like telling him to get over himself…..of course he was at it again today but luckily he was out most of the day. This must be the age for bumps and bruises to start, Jayden hasn’t been too bad yet but he is on the move well and truly now so I’ll have a little abused looking child soon too. Love the new pic of Kaitlyn she is so cute!!
Vic: Oh no….you could go back on the threads and see when he did all his firsts if you wanted to or just guess..(no one will know ;)) What an expensive day you had!! Least the car is fixed I guess. I don’t think I have spent more than $150 on groceries but then that was when it was just Chris and I.
Kim: Yeh as much as I give Chris a hard time I must admit he has his good moments……tonight however is not one of them LOL He is at a mates place watching footy, he couldn’t help me with the shopping cause he had to get there at 7pm it is now after midnight and the footy should be over and he still isn’t home, it wouldn’t normally worry me but the person who he is into illegal things too (I know how you feel Christine!!). Oh Kim you shouldn’t be putting yourself in situations!! But then again if you want a job done……. My house looks like a moving truck exploded, but I had it spotless the other day. I’ll probably be in and out all weekend cause of this stupid camping thing we’re doing LOL. I keep meaning to mention how cute Darcy is! I love that pic of her!!

Nat: Yay for your break!! Its never long enough though. Make sure you take some time out for yourself and relax before the new semester. Email back when you can no hurry , I know your busy but make sure you send some pics of Em’s new hair do with it ;) I got Jayden’s 1st painting a while ago but its still on the fridge (although I had to move it to the side where Jayden can’t get it hehe) It made me cry too!! He had made an easter basket (well he painted on the foil and SIL wrapped it around a paper basket). That’s one thing I love about day care, that they do arts n craft I don’t think we would if I was at home with him (not yet anyway).
Christine: I hope things get better between you and Daniel, it doesn’t help when they are out with someone you don’t trust. Chris is with someone like that tonight and although they are nice ppl I don’t agree with their lifestyle. I was at their house one night with Jayden and they were doing “illegal things” in the house with Jayden and I right next to them…..I was furious and stormed out and haven’t been back……Jayden would have been about 6mths old at the time. That’s great the the parade and the play went well…..I hope your 2 are fast asleep for you by now! I love your new ticker too Riley is such a cutey!! Everyone has such good tickers now!! We have the cutest babies here for sure!!
Well I started typing this hours ago but my mum rang and I was on the phone for 144mins!!! So that along with 2 Guava Vodka Cruisers and a Midori Splice later I get to finish this (again) massive post!! This whole camping thing is going ahead, I told Chris I would only go if he bought Jayden an Elmo sleeping bag……We’ll he bought it so I guess I have to hold up my side of the bargin. We will be going snorkeling tomorrow and maybe Saturday too so I know I will enjoy that….we went a few weeks ago but before that I was 29wks PG so I am enjoying it much more now that I can get to the bottom without being held there haha. Oh I had my eyes checked today and I need glasses!! I have known for a while I need them but keep putting them off so now I have finally done it and have glasses on order, OMG I didn’t realize how expensive they were!! $413 and that was with a discount!!
Well better go the Midori Slice is getting to me hahaha this post probably doesn’t make sense LOL

KIm ~ i charted for nearly 12 months with all over the shop cycles (i have pcos) so it was definately harder but i could only suggest start charting after a month you should see some sort of pattern i will email you the links to my charts

Vic ~ That story was sooo cute and hilarious!!! Glad he was okay though! PMSL @ you forgetting to write anything in Adams baby book!!! I have set myself a terrible standard with this scrapbooking stuff. I’ve told myself no more kids till I’m up to date with Em! And then I’ll go nuts trying to make sure #2 has the same amount of scrap booking as Em lol! OMG @ how much your car cost to fix!!! Ouch!
Christine ~ I am jealous of your cleaning fairy lol! I have no idea what grade my prac is on yet lol. I suppose I will find out in the lecture we have the week prior to starting. Glad to hear the parade went well!
Tania ~ I will probably drive down the road as well! WOW Jayden weighs more then Em now!!! Ouch at him hitting his head – I can understand why she panicked lol. I can watch Em hit his head and know his fine – but any other kids and I’m calling for their mums lol! I am glad I’m not the only one that got teary over the first piece of art work lol! I am just waiting for friends to come over and Em is asleep. So I can’t really start anything but there’s nothing on TV to waste time watching either. I think I may have to go and do those dishes damn it lol!
I am pretty good at budgeting but I find that I end up spending a lot of my extra cash and I have no idea where its going so I have started tracking all the money using this really cool spreadsheet. Now I realize that I have spent over $30 on takeaway this month alone… yep and its only been 6 days!! I will have to work on that one I think!!!

Well I have one sick little chixk here. She never is unwell so doesn't cope with it all that great. I think it's just allergies, cos her snot's clear, but her eyes are so swollen they're almost shut lol. Not a great look when you rub slime all over your face. I had less than 2hrs sleep last night. My eyes are hanging out. Tonight's not looking too hot either, but it doesn't seem so bad cos I know she's unwell.
I wasn't going to buy any choccie for Darcy this weekend, but I felt bad when I was buying some for Cam, and so I caved. Unfortunatley for us Cam's on 6am-6.30pm and I'm on 6.30pm - 7am, so one of us will miss out.
Cam is refusing to ring his parents this weekend and so I know that'll go down a treat - not!
Just musing here....the other day I went to my friend's house. She has a baby 4 months younger than Darc. He had so many toys, so many that there are some in the spare room that she hasn't brought out yet cos there's not enough room. Heaps of big toys, big brand toys, a bookshelf full of books. I felt kinda like a bad mum. Darcy has toys, not heaps though. We didn't go stupid at Christmas cos she was too little. Lots of her toys are my nephew's old toys, and they're simple little toys. She has an old purse with old cards of mine that she spends ages with, empty boxes, kitchen stuff, my cosmetics trolley that she empties and refill over and over, but not lots of thos big learning toys and books. I try to read to her, but she's worse than a botfly and won't sit still. Yet she's active and confident and says HEAPS. She likes to collect the leaves outside and touch the bird aviary. She liek to play with an old mirror and simple stuff like climbing etc, yet my friend's little boy doesn't do any of those things that Darcy did at his age. I don't want her to not have those learning things, but we can't really afford lots of stuff either. Mum says I'm being silly, but I've been scouring for books and things for her birthday.
ETA We don't smack here. I don't know whatwe are going to do, but I'll deal with that when she understands. It's not cos I want to 'gently parent' but becasue Cam was hit in anger as a child and with stuff. I don't want to leave any room for accidents, you know what kind of a unit my Dh is Leanne. And I don't want in any uncertain terms his family to think they can discipline my child their way.
ETA again. And you all know my line of work.....
