Sara- thank goodness you are OK, good idea to put uni off, it will always be there. rest and stop doing too much!
Kim- Riley likes to follow me whinging although he is nowhere near as bad as Erin was, she would cry and cry unless I was carrying her around constantly which obviously I couldn't do!
Riley has a cough atm and is sleeping worse than usual so I am going to put us both to bed. BBL for more personals.
I'm stuck without a car and with a kid that won't stop crying.....this is a great Saturday night....what is there for dinner? Toasted cheese sandwiches -woohoo NOT.
The five minutes she was quiet, she was out the back repotting Daddy's newly potted birds of paradise and eating dirt lol.
Afternoon Girls,
Well I am still feeling the pains. Not as bad though. At about 2.30pm I started getting tightening’s again. They were the same time apart as the ones the other night but stopped before half an hour. If they lasted any longer I would have gone back in to the hospital. I have packed Briley and I a bag each just in case things go pear shaped at any time. Fingers crossed it doesn’t. The lovely heartburn has started up already. I noticed it the other day as well but I had it bad last night and it’s just fired up again now. YAY!!
We had another drama on our hands last night. Yesterday afternoon after I left the hospital we went back to mums for lunch and Briley seemed sooky and irritable. So we gave her some lunch and a bottle and tried too lay her down for a sleep but she wasn’t in it. So mum layed down with her and tried to get her down and she wouldn’t. I ended up going in there and noticed that she was really really hot. After a while I decided just to come home.
She played up a bit in the car on the way home but finally fell asleep. She woke up just as we pulled up at home and I put her down to crawl around the house but she just cried and cried and wanted me to pick her up. I thought she was still tired and I made her a bottle and put her too bed. She slept for an hour or so. When she woke up I noticed again that she was really hot and she was just as irritable and sooky as before the sleep.
I then thought about taking her temp and when I did I got quite a shock! Her temp was 38.9. I took it again a couple of mins later and it was 39.1. I was really starting to worry then and gave her some Panadol. She just layed there on the lounge really drowsy. So I rang the 13HEALTH number and they said to take her into the hospital. I ended just making her some dinner, giving her a bath and by the time I put her too bed at 8.00pm her temp had dropped back down to 36.3.
So anyways, the moral of the story, as we were going into the bath I was doing the normal train noises I do when I wheel her into the bath on the change table. She smiled at me then and I thought I saw another tooth. Well I stuck my finger in and Wallah!! There was tooth number 2 right next to the other one! So I’d say that would have been what the temp rise was from. So my life has been full of dramas this week. She is still very sooky and clingy but I just try and put her down for a sleep when she is cranky.

Jodie – OMG!!! I have been waiting and waiting for the day to come. Big congratulations to Yariv, Shaun and Yourself! Wishing you a happy and healthy journey! I hope the m/s settles down for you soon.
Shazz – I can’t believe Ryan is turning one in a few days time. That is bloody unreal mate! Time just goes too quick these days doesn’t it! Briley has another couple of months to go before that day comes for us thank god. Just remember he will ALWAYS be your baby! He is the youngest remember!
Nat – Congrats on your distinctions for uni. I am still waiting for the results of that assignment I handed in nearly 2 weeks ago now! I just want to know how I went. You are really putting a lot of thought into Em’s birthday party aren’t you! I hope it all works out for you. BTW – Got your email with the pics of Em. That hair cut is adorable! I just love it! He looks like the cutest little man!
Tania – MEN! They are so selfish sometimes aren’t they! I suppose they just think it’s a women’s job to do all those duties. Time permitting or not! You’ll have to send some of your camping pics this way too! We didn’t get too many from Easter. I was too busy with everything else to even think about pulling out the camera. We did get a couple of good ones of Briley playing at the beach though. I should probably load them onto my computer some time soon!
Kim – Briley is going through a crying stage at the moment too. She seems to be really really clingy to me. I think cause she is teething still too. And with the drama of last night, I think that might have had a lot too do with the crying. Maybe Darcy is going through the same phase. Hope she settles for you soon.
Vic – Don’t feel bad mate! You’re not a midwife or a dr. I asked your opinion and you gave it. I am glad I trusted my instincts though. I am trying not too pick Briley up too much but it is really hard with her at the moment. Especially with the teething. Timing is not too great! I am trying to leave the house work too much I am the sort of person who can’t leave the house a mess. I have to at least have it tide. And to make matters worse I am going through ANOTHER nesting phase!! I can’t bloody believe it! Talk about timing! Hope you worked out the computer programs!!
Leanne – LOL – You keep on saving those annual leave days honey! You’ll need them when the time comes. I’ll manage! I hate when you get to the checkout and you either don’t have the funds when you thought you had, your card is maxed out for the day or it’s expired!! Glad the checkout chick was good about it though. How cute of Kaitlyn!!
Christine – Hope Riley’s cough goes soon. It’s getting to that time of the year now where all the colds and coughs will be getting around! Hope its nothing to serious!
Well this has turned into the BIGGEST post I have ever done! Sorry girls! I suppose it happens when you haven’t done personals for so long!
One last thing!
I want to say thanks so much to all of you for all your kind word of support. I really appreciate them so much.

Back again finally DH has been hogging the computer and is in a foul mood cause I nearly backed into the garden(he was watching and stressed me out) then he yelled at me about how I shouldn't have a effing licence and how I am an embarrassment etc etc. He can be really horrible sometimes, I finally got tired of being put down and went up the street to visit my SIL who was at her mum's place.
Tanya- Chris sounds a lot like Daniel in how much he does/doesn't around the house, even when I worked full time I still did everything cause he left for work at 6am (even though sometimes he was home before me) He seems to regard my job as not as important even though I earn nearly double what he does. He really resents the fact that I only work 3 days a week atm and is constantly questioning how I can be tired when I have 4 days a week off.
OK sorry that turned into a rant didn't it.
Nope it's not a rant, I'll join in too. I only work 2 shifts per week, which is actually only 12hrs less than full time.....but cos it's at night, he forgets that I actually need to go to sleep and resents when I need a nap the next day or if I dare get up and say I'm going to the gym! forget about the other 5.5x24hours a day Darcy spends glued to my side.....
ETA Yep Sara this time I'm actually thinking we might have a third tooth in 3 weeks - and I never think it's teeth. She's pretty hot tonight and she's totally off food - unusual for someone with two hollow legs....
I am so tired from working full time, being a mum and housewife all at the same time that I am starting to get grumpier and grumpier. (okay maybe PMS has a little to do with the grumpiness). I am strongly considering asking if I can have every second Friday off or something and go from being full time to permanent part time. They can only say no right? I spent the whole day cleaning the house and I still have washing and ironing to do. When I am supposed to 'catch up' with my daughter is anyone's guess.
And I can't even begin to think how I could then cope with being pregnant as well (no we're not.... but have started thinking about #2)
Kim - you should have phoned me. Home with a car all the time now, we could have done something.
Not sure who mentioned it but maybe this constant flu is my body telling me to slow down.
I have to go and feed Katy and pop her in bed - hope you all have a nice night and I will check in tomorrow.

Sara – so glad you are ok. I think you made the right decision about uni. You have to look after yourself, and Briley and #2. Hope Briley is feeling better now the tooth is through. I would have been in a major panic with a temp that high.
Jodie – CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Kim – Cooper is a Velcro baby at the moment too. If I leave his sight he cries until I pick him up…although its not all day every day…he does play by himself happily too.
Christine – MEN!!! Hope you didn’t let his comments get to you too much.
I can’t remember what I mentioned about Cooper last time, but his third tooth (top one) came through on Good Friday, and now the one next to it is about to break through. His gum is really swollen, poor little thing. He is awful during the night and ends up in bed with us after we have gone in to him about 12 times.
On a positive side, he has FINALLY learnt to clap his hands. He is so proud of himself. I have been clapping to him all day every day, and was worried he wasn’t doing it. Now he won’t stop. Even when I put him to bed tonight he had his eyes closed and was still clapping. He can also say ‘hello’ and waves and tonight he blew a kiss. So cute!!!
One more day of holidays left….I am not going to enjoy going back on Monday. We have a conference to go to on Friday and Saturday…its an overnight thing at a resort so I will have my first night away from Cooper…I am really dreading it but also looking forward to a night of uninterrupted sleep.

Alison- uninterrupted night's sleep??? I have faint memories of such a thing! Enjoy your conference. Riley claps too, its so funny if you say Good boy or clever boy he claps for himself! Everytime he does something funny or cute he looks around to make sure everyone is watching him- he has turned into such a show off.
Jodie- is your cousin in the office or a nurse at Tresillian? I am going to one at Willoughby and they said the only Carol (I know I said the right name to them but can't for the life of me think what it is nowLOL) works in the office. Hope your ms is going away, I only had it for Riley never the girls and it came as a rude shock.
Leanne- I think if you can afford it you need to have some days off, you sound tired and run down and you need to look after you as well as everyone else. I worked full time from when Jess was 7 months old and I know how draining it is and I was lucky I left her with mum so I didn't need to get her ready in the morning or anything I could dump her in her pjs without having had breakfast. Meant to say last time I know how you feel with card declined except I have had it after I filled up with petrol!! (luckily a tearful call to my dad sorted it out! they will accept credit cards over the phone)
Shazz- I got outbid on the canisters I was bidding on ! DH nearly had a heart attack when he saw me buying more Tupperware LOL
Sara- hope Briley is OK now and you are resting. When is Brent back? Is it soon?
Vic- how are the holidays going? Do your kids want daily entertainment? Sometimes I think Erin thinks I am some sort of cruise ship entertainment director! Everything is so damn expensive- the movies for just Erin and I with popcorn between us and a drink each was $30! I said to her we could have bought a DVD for that!! (wouldn't have been as fun though)
Tanya- keep meaning to say how gorgeous Jayden looks in your ticker, love the surfie look. Jess is home today from the ILs so expect a new ticker from me tonight LOL

Leanne, I reckon that's a good idea! If you don't ask you'll never know....Endned up putting the horror head to bed and doing the same myself. DH didn't get home until 4.30 this morning so at least it was quiet until then....no she didn't sleep but at least there weren't any interruptions. Are you taking a mutlivite?

We're supposed to go out for lunch today with DH's workmates. It's about 40minutes away at a very expensive place. Don't know how I'm supposed to be there for lunch then come home and get a decent sleep before I go to work, cos sure as heck DH isn't going to want to only stay an hour and I doubt lunch with be at 12....I'm putting my foot down. He can go on his own. We're also going to get my little car valued today and hopefully sell it. It's a bit sad cos it was my first car I bought for myself. :( It will get us out of our loans though and make life a bit easier....

Morning Girls!
I was feeling good thismorning. I had no pains or anything. But now the pains have come back and i have been having painful tightenings since about 10.05am. I am going to wait until 10.35am and if they have'nt gone i might give the Birth Suite a call. I have taken a couple of panadol as well so that might settle them down. This is not good.
I am putting it all down to stress. I have a female dog on heat at the moment and a male dog that wants to get to her. He just howls and carries on all the time and not matter how many times i yell at him he just keeps going. Its very stressful. I have just rang Brent's aunty to see if she can take him but it does'nt look good. Grrr!
I will keep you guys posted on the tightenings. If you don't hear back from me after 10.35am i have probably gone back in to the hospital. I have plenty of mobile numbers so i will let one of you know how i go.

Sara- fingers crossed its all OK. I never realised what a female dog on heat was like until our 2 nd one- YUK!!! When our cat was on heat we had every Tom in the area howling on our lawn at night!

Well, DH has taken the Dragon to his work do, so I've had lunch and a shower in peace (of course I cleaned the shower before I got into it) and made some bickies, so I'm having 10 minutes sitting time before I have a snooze.
No luck on the car though, they wanted to offer $3000 less than we were asking for it!
Kim bad news about the car, what sort is it ? Jess is saving for a car but it may be a while.
Riley is foul today, all snotty, coughing and whingy.I put him down the thought I'd have a nap too since we got stuff all sleep last night and he slept for 40 minutes! Now he is whining in my arms and ttrying to type. Dh is having a sleep because he is tired from having to hear me get up in the night lol.

Glad someone heard from Sara... although hospital is a bit scary, it's probably the best place for her! Will stop her from fighting off horny dogs, mowing her property and hopefully get some much needed rest. Hope you're feeling better Sara...!!
Christine: can't wait to see the new photo with Jess & Riley. Sounds gorgeous. And I agree, can't have too much tupperware.
I swear I have the best husband in the world!!! I don't want to boast, but I can't help it. My DH has been an angel since finding out I was pregnant. He has insisted that I rest as much as possible. He has taken care of Shaun 24/7, even getting up in the middle of the night. He's been (attempting to) feed him, change all his nappies, playing with him... Tonight he washed all his bottles, and washed all the dishes & swept the floors. He bought me breakfast and lunch into bed today. I started feeling a little human like in the evening so I made him his favourite dinner: chicken schnitzel & mash potato. I also let him go to the casino with his mates last night and he got home at 4am.
I mentioned to him that my stepmum said she would have Shaun for 1- 2 weeks when (if) I got pregnant (when I had the baby)... he replied "no way; I can take care of Shaun... and you too!!!" God I love him!
He told his mum (in Israel) last night... and she said she would get on the first plane over. I don't think she actually meant that - but I feel confident that she will come to Australia - hopefully towards the end of the pregnancy. I would love to see her. She's adorable.

Tania ~ Longlife milk is fine for bubs. Easy to take out as well as you don’t have to keep it cool. Grrr to Chris I’d be ****ed off too!
Leanne ~ LOL @ forgetting your purse! That would suck! Permanent part time sounds like a good idea! If they can’t do that perhaps you can get someone in to clean once a week for you? Even just the basic stuff and ironing would help you out heaps? I often worry about how I would deal with M/S etc when I have Em! Let alone all the other stuff on top of it.
Alison ~ Urgh the dribble lol Em is the same right now. Like a St Bernard lol :p. That is fantastic that Copper has learnt to clap – I remember when Em finally did and I was so proud! And they seem so chuffed with themselves when they can do something new finally.
Christine ~ I hope that Riley is feeling better now. OMG @ your DH yelling that stuff at you. That is horrible. I hate it how men loose their temper and think that its okay to say horrible things like that. Lucas is Em’s half brother btw.

Thanks for all the advice about the party. I think I was stressing out over nothing. I decided to go with the play café because not only is it easier but I just don’t have any where to actually hold it that is big enough and weather proof. May has its good days here but is normally raining and cold. I am getting excited for his birthday now! I’ve got all his presents and I know what cake I’m making!

Got a message from Sara. She's still in hospital. Baby is fine and cervix is closed but she is still contracting. She will probably be staying in tonight. I will post the message when I get back from work - I am officially late now LOL.
Thanks Nat for keeping us updated, its probably better for her to be there resting, she sounds too busy at home LOL. Enjoy work! I am in my pjs still LOL Made pancakes for 5 kids for breakfast though.
Well i'm still in my jammies too :p I was thinknig about her all night too. Gave me something else to think about.

Shazz- Colesonline! A nice man even carries it into the kitchen for you (and doesn't complain like DH would LOL) I just pop into the supermarket for bits and pieces so Riley loves Woolies cause we never go for long.
Still in my pjs, better have a shower i guess, should really do some housework too the house is a mess (I'm not very domestic- I would make a fabulous rich woman with cleaners!)
i wish christine i live in the sticks we don't have such technology here maybe one day
Poor you Shazz, then again I'm sure you don't have to put up with traffic jams on a 3 minute drive either!

Just got home. Had another night of contractions but am ok. Still trying to pull stuff out of the car and sort the animals so i will be back later on to fill you all in a bit better. I am ok though. Still getting pains but not contracting at the moment.

I know it's hard on your own, but it's only 109 days to go. Can your mum come and stay? Are the IL's coming on time?
I was thinking aobut that though. I've only ever really worked at major teaching hospitals. I've worked on younger babies than yours. They would never have not given you drugs or told you that it wasn't viable at 24 weeks. That sucks. I really hope you're getting all the care you deserve.:pray:

Glad to hear from you, and hope that you are going to take it easy. Don't be too proud to call in help... from family, friends etc. If you can - put your feet up and rest for the next few weeks. The animals are not worth risking your baby.
Talking of animals - is there a chance that Brent can leave work and come and be with you. You've only got 5-6 weeks to go. He should be by your side now and helping out with Briley and around the house. You shouldn't be doing all of that alone.
If he won't come home, I really hope your mum or MIL will come and stay with you.

I'm a bit nervous. I got some blood tests done last week (for the pregnancy), and the GP phoned today to say something is 'irregular'. At first they were fully booked until tomorrow, but I just phoned now and they had a cancellation at 4.15pm. So I'll find out then. I'm sure it's nothing too serious.
On an exciting note though... I'm looking at a house tomorrow & seeing the bank in the evening! There is a 7 bedroom house for just over $500k, and it's only 16km from the city (at the moment I'm 32km from CBD). Its got students in there at the moment, none of them on leases... so it's obvious it would need "some work".... but Yariv & I love renovating... and a huge property that's been renovated in that area would be worth an absolute bomb. Hope that it's half decent. And if it is, I hope the bank will finance us.

Speaking of exciting....Darcy took her first steps on her own today!!! Was only a few steps, but it was multiple times back and forth between DH and I and she was starting all by herself.

I don't think Shaun will be far off walking... but he doesn't show much interest. He's got great balance and he lets go of things more often. Today he stood by himself and drank a bottle at the same time! I was with the maternal nurse & I think she was quite surprised by it.
oh yeah... just got back from docs. Nothing to panic about. Stupid receptionist made it sound really serious. Turns out the urine test showed a little bit of thrush (I didn't even feel it - so it's not that serious). She said whack a bit of cream down there and I'll be fine!
