Phew thats a relief Jodie glad it wasn't anything serious
Glad to hear you are okay Sara - take care you hear.
Kim - WTG Darcy........ Clever girl.
Jodie - that is a relief. 'just wack a bit of cream down there!!' that's funny.
Hope everyone else is well.
Had a cr@ppy day at work and have a cracker of a headache. DH is working a late shift so after I feed and bath Katy and chuck her in bed I am not going to be far off.
HAve a good night.
Sara- glad you are OK, now stop unloading the frigging car and worrying about animals and REST!! You really need someone to stay and help you. (actually Jess is really annoying me atm with typical teenage attitude I'll post her up!)
Jodie- hope the cream works ! Lucky you having thrush you can't feel! The alternative is awful. Wow about the house, 7 bedrooms!! How many more kids are you having LOL.
Leanne- you sound wrecked, have you asked them about part time yet?
Kim- walking wtg!! Riley started cruising the coffee table today for the first time, he seems to be everywhere atm and into everything! I had forgotten what this stage is like, I think boys are "busier" than girls or maybe its just my kids. He can get up the first 3 stairs now, DH has to build me gates ASAP!
Erin has 2 friends over tonight, they are 7 and 5, the 3 of them are having a ball, the little brother who is 4 cried cause he wanted to stay too (I don't think I'm up for that many LOL) In the car they were discussing whether insects could cough LOL Sophie then informed everyone that her big brother (9yrs) told her that if you eat green food your wee goes green! Hopefully they will sleep at least some of the night cause I would like to go to bed now.
Well your poo goes green don't know about the wee though
Christine, we have a staircase that goes around a corner - the other day I heard noises upstairs and went to check - realised I'd left the bottom gate open and found Darcy waiting to be let through the gate at the top! Gotta teach her to get herself back down safely me thinks.... not sure about your busy theory though...when Katy and Darcy get together with the boys from our mothers group - it's them being into everything and everyone and making the boys cry!
Hey Leanne, those Beaconsfield boys are releasing a song for our babies birthdays lol. It's called 326 hours or something - about the length of time I was in labour :D
Maybe Riley is just wild Kim!! I think Darcy and Katy sound like his kind of chicks LOL We will have to get together one day.
Jess and Erin both learnt to go up stairs long before they could get back down which was a pain.
wooohoo wtg darcy and riley won't be long and they will be running every where
Ryan the little snot climbs up onto our bed then flops off the edge and around again for another ride scaryyyy i think i liked it better when he was just walking from lounge to lounge
well i do believe here comes out next lot of anti biotics for ..... wait for it .... i bet you can't guess ... he he ear infection i swear i'm so over it i just get him sleeping through the night then wham take that .... it doesn't help that he is definately teething again all four eye teeth are peeking out for a look see my poor boys butt is so red and inflamed really there is not enough bum creme in stock to contend with such trauma .. he slept for all of 10 minutes today then fought all the way tonight but finally daddy won then had the hide to say to me that it was my fault he was over tired " i should have lied down with him to get him to sleep longer today " WTF i so don't think so bloody men i'll remind him of that when the house work has piled up and he has no clean jocks to wear ok rant over i really need to go to bed i think i'm rambling ...sorry
just a quick post...
Christine... at 40yo, I don't plan to have too many kids! But you can never have too many bedrooms... one for us, one for each kid, a visitors room, an office, a sewing room, a toy room... There you go - 7 rooms filled!!!
BTW... I haven't chatted with my cousin... but her name is Cheryl, and she lives in Glebe. She's definately a nurse (fairly senior I think)... she's worked there for years.. like 20 years or something! I think there are a few Tresillians... so I'm not sure which one she works in. I'll try and find out. Are you booked in?... which one?
Sara ~I’m so glad to see you are home. Please take it easy sweety. Now that Kim mentions it – a workmate of mine had her little boy at 23 weeks and he made it. Though if they’d gone to a different hospital they too said they wouldn’t have given the injections. :(
Jodie ~ That house sounds fantastic!!! Good luck! I would love filling 7 rooms lol ;) How annoying that the nurse made it seem more serious then it was! It took ages for Em to have any interest in walking.
Leanne ~ I hope that headache goes away. I had an awful one today that just wouldn’t budge!
Christine ~ pmsl @ green wee!
Kim ~ WTG Darcy!!! What a smart little girl!!! Cheeky little girl getting up the stairs as well!
Oh Shazz I hope your little man is better soon!
I bought a HUGE bag of Cadbury eggs and I’m pigging out on them lol. I think we have more teeth coming up. I can see them and he's dribbling and whingey and has baaaaaad nappies. He's also going through a huge clingy phase and cries when ever I leave him :( which makes it hard to drop him off at CC
Alright I'm getting tired so I might head off to bed.
Morning girls!
Thanks heaps for all your well wishes girls! And thanks heaps to Nat for keeping everyone updated! I really apprecitate it!
So basicall this is what happened:
All was fine sunday morning. I was feeling great, no pains at all. So later on i put Briley down for a sleep and decided to have a lay down myself. This is when the pains started. They were just like bad period pain then. At about 10.05am i started too get tightenings and took a couple of panadol and decided to try a hot shower. Briley was awake by now and we go in and sat in there for around 25mins. They tightenings were still coming by now and they were getting quite uncomfortable.
When i was discharged the previous friday, the Dr told me to to wait half an hour after the pains started before i called the Birth Suite. If they lasted any longer than to call. So i waited to 10.40am and made the call. They wanted me too go in.
So off i went and went through all the usual stuff. BP, temp, urine samples etc etc. They did another speculum and found my cervix was still closed (thank god!). All the while the pains were coming and going. Some quite painful. So at 4pm they said to drink a heap of fluid in case i was dehydrated and this being the reason i was contacting. 5pm came still contracting so i was admitted overnight.
That night at about 9pm i started getting strong regular tightenings. The midwife came and sat with me for a while and we timed them. I was having 3 in 5 minutes. So back up too the Birth Suite i was sent. Another spec was done and cervix was still closed. They then decide to put me on some anti-biotics just incase there was an infection that they were'nt picking up. I was then sent back down too the ward.
Woke up yesterday morning and was feeling a little sick but no pains. The Dr came in to see me at around 9am and said i could go home. I do have too go back in on Friday to get another spec done. They are going to do a swab to try and find a certain type of protein that a womans body releases when she is likely to go into labour in the next couple of weeks. If they find this in me, its only a matter of time. If not, thats excellent!
So yeah today i am tired and having a few pains but nothing to worry about too much. At the moment its all touch and go unfortunetely. I hate not knowing what is wrong but they are pretty certain that i have an Irritable Uterus. Never heard of it!! But it would make sense.
Now for personals!
Jodie - The house sounds awesome mate! Good luck with the finance. I really hope you get it! At least there will be plenty of room if any of us BB girls decided to invade!! Glad the test results came back! I can't believe your pregnant again. Its soo good that things were'nt difficult for you! Oh and i have 15 weeks too go not 5-6!!! If i only had that much to go it would'nt be such a worry. I wish i only had that much to go!
Nat/Kim - Yeah it was quite a shock they way they told me one minute they were'nt willing to try and do anything for the baby and then the next they tell me we are giving you the steroids. Its all such a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I have been dealing with it well though. Everytime i go up to the hospital the sign that says Neonatal Intensive Care Unit all stands out. I just look away really quickly. I really hope i don't have to go through that. I honestly don't know if i would have the inner strength. I watch Saving Babies and pray to god that i never have to go through what those people went through. And now here i am. Not quite there but its a possibility.
Shazz - Another ear infection???? OMG! How many is that now?? Have they Dr said wether its normal or not??? I feel so sorry for the little fella. I hope is ok.
Christine - A teenager would probably be a little too much now!!! ;) IL's will be up here shortly and that will be hard enough! Nah it will be good to have someone here to help me out now. Esp with all that going on at the moment!
Kim - YAY @ Darcy walking! Briley is shuffling along furniture a little bit but only for a few steps. Then she jumps plonks down on her bum and crawls away! My mum works and goes to Tafe so its kinda hard for her too drop everything and come up here and stay. Maybe if i did'nt live so far out of town she would. IL's will be here in the next week or so but.
Sorry if i missed anyone! Hi to you if i did!
Well everything has been all about me lately that i have really spoken much about my beautiful little girl.
Briley has another tooth and has added the word "pretty" to her vocabulary. She is also becoming quite an affectionate little girl lately. When she see's me sitting on the lounge she crawls over and wants to get up with me. When she gets up there she gives me cuddles and lays her head of my chest. Its just beautiful. She is REALLY showing us her personality lately.
I sometimes just stare at her and think how beautiful she is. How perfect she is. She has sooo much hair at the moment and is way overdue for her first hair cut. I have been putting it off. I don't know what to say too the hairdresser. How the hell do you cut a 10 month old hair!!! I don't want her too look to much like a boy. I will have to bite the bullet shortly though. Maybe just before Daddy comes home next week!
There is so much more i wanted to post but this has turned out to be another giant post. I was going to tell you all about the stuff up the hosptial had involving me yesterday. And about what the Baby Dr's came and spoke to me about on sunday. Will have to wait till this afternoon! If i remember.
Anyways, hope you are all well. Have a great day!
Sara- so glad you are OK, I meant Jess as a helper- shes nice for other people LOL Actually she cleaned the loungeroom and babysat for me today so I love her again.
Vic- hope he is OK, sounds worrying, are you going to the doctors again?
Taking Riley to the docotrs this arvo, he has this really chesty cough and a runny nose and has been worse at night and not sleeping, I have been giving him dimetapp which he hates but its not doing anything. They prob. won't do anything but his chest sounds so rattly that I want him checked just in case.
Sara ~ So glad your alright i think in a previous post i mentioend i had what they called irritable uterus it is bloody horrible you move and the tightening' s start so i'm really understanding where you are at ATM hang in there and you MUST rest as much as humanly possible
Christine ~ aww i hope Riley starts to feel better soon
Big Hi to everyone else
Ryan Turns ONE tomorrow mmmwwaaaaahhhh
he is sick and hates the world and i'm not the far behind him my throat feels like sand paper everytime i swallow ooooh i hate getting sick
any way BBL
Shazz - Yeah you did mention that too me. I did a bit of research today about it and found a website called irritable uterus . com. There has'nt been much medical research about it all though. There are a few first accounts though. It was a bit helpful. Sorry to hear your not feeling too well!
Christine - Yeah i am sure she woulda been a great help. But you's are on good terms again now so it will have to be another time! He he!
Vic - Pink poo??? That cant be good! Have you been to the Dr?? Hope its nothing.
Well Briley has done the most poo's in one day as she has ever done. She has had about 7 dirty nappies. All just watery like yellow poo's. I am wondering wether i may have given her too many bottles today or if its from the teething. She has been sooooo clingy today its not funny so i think it is teething. Poor little baby girl.
Well i am feeling ok. Been so lathargic all day though. Still in pain but not tightening. Thats the main thing i suppose. I just have to deal with the other stuff.
Briley is in bed now so i might go and have a bath and brush my teeth. I have'nt really been able to move much further than the lounge today. Pretty gross but no-one is here to smell my breath if it stinks. I dont think it does though.
Hope you are all well!
Ni night!
glad to hear you were resting today Sara
Sara- keep resting honey!
Shazz- enjoy your last night with an under 1 year old LOL
Morning Girls!!
:happybirthday: HAPPY 1'ST BIRTHDAY RYAN!!!:happybirthday:
I can't believe the time has come for one of our bubba's. Time is just going too quick! I really hope he has a great day Shazz!
Well i am feeling like absolute sh*t today. I had an ok sleep but i have woken feeling tired and sick. I have been getting quite bad pains throughout the night so i hope its not a lead up to anything. No tightenings but.
Briley has woken up good. Hopefully the rest of the day will be good too.
I have a few little things to do today. Nothing to strenuous (sp??) though. Just a load of washing and tidy the house. Then this afternoon we are going into Brent's aunty's for dinner. Brent's grandparents are up for his Aunty's 50th this weekend and they have never met Briley so i thought i would make the effort before the party so they can meet her.
I hope you are all well. Have a great day!
BBL
:happybirthday: Happy First Birthday Ryan!!!! :happybirthday:
Wishing you a wonderfully spoilt day!!!!
I've got lunch guests about to arrive so I will be back later tonight hopefully for personals!
:happyforyou: Happy Birthday RYAN!!!!!:happybirthday:
Happy Anniversary Shazz!!!
Been quiet in here today!
Well i am headin into town now. Dinner with Brent's family.
Briley has a rash all over her stomach and back. I think it might just be a heat rash but i will ask Brent's aunty to have a look when i get in there. She has been grizzly all day again today.
Hope you had a lovely 1'st Birthday Ryan!!!
aaaw thanks guys i'v been very emotional all day .. he had a little party a CC today and we are having cake and pressies tonight when daddy gets home then his big party is on the 28th i couldn't get time off to do it any sooner and it works out better $$$ wise any way his big pressie should be here by then hopefully
sara take it easy lol we were posting at the same time
Sara ~ I remember how much Shazz went through last time with irritable uterus. Is this definitely what you have? No wonder you’re feeling tired and crappy! Did you get your result back from your assignment. Did you manage to pull out before census date or do you still have to pay for the semester? I am positive that you are strong enough to cope with anything this pregnancy throws your way! Though that bubba is staying put – I know its easier said then done but try not to fret too much honey! That is soooo cute of Briley saying pretty now!
Vic ~ Oh no I hope everything is okay! What does the Dr say now?
Christine ~ How did Riley go at the Drs?
Shazz ~ How is Ryan going? Has the Dr said why he keeps having so many infections? I know a few kids like that who ended up having grommets. I hope you are feeling better yourself soon!
Not much happening here. I need to be washing, ironing and studying but I’m bludging :p hehe!! I had my mum and a friend over for lunch which was really nice. My friend has a little girl 4 months younger then Em and she made him look like a big monster LOL. It was so cute though he kept hugging and kissing her – he was just a bit rough though lol. Em is asleep now and I need to do a few things and when he wakes up I’m going to pop down to Big W. Alrighty I better stop procrastinating lol!
ETA Looks as though we were all posting at the same time LOL. Sara I hope Briley is okay! Shazz I am going to be emotional as well. It sounds as though he is having a lovely day though!
 :happybirthday: Happy First
Birthday Ryan !!!!! :happybirthday:
Gee Sara that sure sounds like something you should get checked out hon.
Christine hope the docs visit with Riley went ok.
Vic, not again! How's his iron levels?
Hope you're having a lovely night with you family Shazz.
Not much to chat about tonight. Went to mum's today for a snooze aafter getting smashed last night. God I worked hard - there are some total idiots out there. DH started liteneasy tonight. He reckons it works out cost wise, but I still have to buy groceries for me so not sure how he figures that - but anyway - back to sneaking the choccies when he's at work....
Birthday boy has crashed big time the sugar rush is Over .... lets hope he has a good night now and thank you so much every one for the birthday wishes
So much to catch up on again!! I might not be able to reply to all but we’ll see how I go…..
Firstly……HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY RYAN!!!! I hope you had a great day gorgeous boy!! Oh Shazz…I feel for you, I’m going to be a mess when Jayden turns 1 in 5wks and 3days!! Been meaning to ask, you’re in QLD aren’t you? Where abouts? I love your new ticker….You have gorgeous kids!! I hope Ryan gets better soon!!
Sara: So glad to hear you are resting and feeling a bit better, although I’m not posting, I am checking in everyday to see how you are going. I sent the camping pics….you probably haven’t had a chance to look at them haha. Upload your pics and send them, can’t wait to see Briley and your belly!! Jayden had yellow watery poo, it was just teething for him.
Kim: Jayden has been the same with the clingy/crying phase my guess was teeth but who knows….I think its easing up a bit now…….YAY Darcy on your first steps!!! Men have got no idea when it comes to working with a baby, does Cam get night shift? Get him to try looking after Darcy the next day after having no sleep!
Vic: I agree long life tastes crap on its own….but as Nat said the convenience of not having to keep it cold is good…..I bought fresh milk the other day for him and gave him a bit in his brekki this morning and he loved it, I poured a glass for myself and gave him a taste and he loved it on its own too…..also found out I like milk….I have always hated milk on its own but my taste buds have obviously changed haha. Chris is doing OT at work ATM so its pointless him picking Jayden up but before that there was no reason why he couldn’t, we only have 1 car seat but he has to go past my work to get him so he could swap cars……he is just a lazy so and so who will only play with Jayden when it suits him. LOL I feel the same with he is helping me by not doing things as I just have to do it again anyway.
Leanne: Bugger about the expired card….Chris did that just before easter but luckily he had the new one in the car!! Not sure if it was me saying for you to slow down, but I was thinking it hehe does that count?
Christine: Why don’t men realize that as a mother you don’t just work 9-5 your working 24/7. Chris says that half the time doesn’t count because I’m sleeping or shopping even though I am food shopping (which isn’t half as enjoyable as real shopping hehe). I can’t argue the point with him because all I’ll get back is a smart a$$ comment like “Well you wanted him” which $hits me like you wouldn’t believe!!! Chris resented the fact I wasn’t working for 6mths too, he wanted me back at work within 3mths (including the month I had off before Jayden was born). Rant away….. You girls are my only outlet for my rants as my friends in Bundy are his friends G/F’s so no use complaining to them  . Thanks (about the ticker) I love that photo too! I noticed yours hasn’t changed yet….get a close up of the 3 of them. I hope Riley is feeling better!!
Alison: Yay Cooper for clapping!!! Good Luck for your first night away!!
Jodie: So jealous of your considerate DH!! Can he teach Chris how to be even just partially considerate??? Hehe Good luck with the house….it sounds fantastic!! I would love a 7br house (although would need to hire a few cleaning fairies hehe). Great news about your results…even better that you didn’t even know about the thrush!!
Nat: What cake are you making? Are you doing practice ones or just doing it on the day? I have to do practice ones, I am hopeless with cakes….I can make them but the bottom will fall off or I’m not creative enough for the decorations.
Jayden took his first step for his cousin on Monday and I have seen him do it a few times, and tonight he took 6 steps in a row….that was with me standing him up though, he likes crawling still but is trying to walk too. He knows where the moon is when you ask him and also claps (in the right spots) when you sing “If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands” His new words are up and nah. If you say no to him he smiles and shakes his head (sometime so hard he falls over hehe).
I spoke to my brother & SIL the other night and they told me they are expecting a little boy, which is exciting as they already have a girl……..but they really ticked me off. Sorry if anyone here smokes (I have nothing against it directly) My SIL complained endlessly how much pain she is in and how she is classed as high risk etc (can’t do housework for example) yet she said she is still smoking!! I’m sorry but don’t bi*ch to me about high risk when you’re not doing anything to ensure your baby has the best start in life, I know heaps of ppl who smoke while PG its up to them but they also weren’t high risk either. My bro’s wife is just an immature, hypochondriac and I think she has real psychological issues. I had heaps more to say about her but deleted it as it was really harsh!!
Another massive post from me….I am so sorry  I really have to stop doing that. Have a good night all
oxoxox
Can't believe I did that huge post and forgot to mention that Jayden got his 1st haircut on Sunday....he is so spunky now such a little boy (not a baby)!! I got my hair done too, it was well over due its now dark brown with shorter layers....feels heap better!!
ok thats it hehe nighty night
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN!!!
Hi girls...
:happybirthday:  HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN  :happybirthday:
sorry that's a bit late, given that he's asleep now. Hope he had a good day. Do you think they know it's "their day" when they're one? That's my arguement for the whole b'day party thing - I'm sure Shaun would have no idea it's his 'day'. Damn about the family! I don't really miss my family.
Well, we checked out the house. It was HUGE. Upstairs: 4 bedrooms, huge living room, huge dining room, bathroom, toilet, big kitchen area & a extra room (study?). Downstairs: 3 bedrooms, huge living area (enough space for our pool table & table tennis table!), fair sized kitchen, bathroom, and double garage. It was a great location too (although street was a little busy). But Yariv said no way because all the walls were double brick/concrete... and although living room & bedrooms were carpeted, the rest of the house was like a concrete floor. It would have been near impossible to do renovations. Yariv would want to do a lot of wiring (theatre room, security alarms, cabling etc)... and it would be just too too hard. And the floor was a bit of a concern. So we decided against it. We definately won't come across another 7 br house in that area for that price... but we will find something I'm sure.
I had a flat out day, looked at the house, went to my hairdresser, went to my salon, raced home to pick up shaun from cc, met with the mobile banker, and cancelled the water aerobics for that night. I was fine all day - but boy did I pay today! I have felt so sick, and was in bed 90% of the day. Shaun was a good boy and played in his room or the living room all day. He did a little puke tonight, which sent me running to the loo myself. Good ol' yariv took care of the situation. What was even better, last night I went to bed and heard him in the kitchen. This morning I went in and he had washed ALL the dishes & bottles, and cleaned the bences and the floor!! How lucky am I??
Will hear from the bank in a few days about how much they will let us loan. will be interesting. Hope it's not too piddly. Being self employed is not an advantage at this point.
I'm pretty sure Shaun's top tooth is coming through any day now. I can see the white of it, and he needs his dummy to sleep... lathered in Bonjella. Yay for bonjella!!
although I've slept for most of the day, I'm knackered - so I'm going back to bed. talk to you all soon!
Morning Girls!
Feeling very crap and tired again today. Briley played up something shockin early thismorning. Teeth. Been getting bad period type pains since about 4.00am which have been coming and going. I have them now but no tightenings. Hopefully it does'nt all fire up again.
Anyways, have to feed Briley and myself.
BBL
morning all
Jodie ~ bugger about the house i hope you find one that is suitable and in reach $$ wise
Tania ~ i'm just west of brisbane small little country town and wooohooo on jaydens first haircut
Vic ~i'm glad little adam is feeling better
Sara ~ hope your resting
Kim ~ hows things hun
Alison ~ hope your both well
Angelique ~ hope you and katerina are well also
Christine ~ howdy :waves:
can you tell i have nothing to say god i'm boring
oh i did just take ryan for his 12months check up
HC 53cm ( i think is what she said) height 77cm but he has lost so much weight he is 9 .480 kg
Kim ~ GL to your DH with Liteneasy. I hope its worth the money. LOL @ sneaking choccies while he’s at work!
Tania ~ I just love your posts!! LOL. I am going to be a mess when Em turns one as well. Oh I think I’d just slap Chris if he said “well you wanted him” like that to me. Em was a surprise and even G has never said anything like that to me (prolly coz he knows he wouldn’t have a life worth living if he did LOL). I am thinking of making a number one cake or a train cake. Depending on how adventurous I’m feeling LOL. I completely understand how you feel about the smoking issue with your SIL. I delete heaps of some of the stuff I post as well LOL ;) Whoo hoo for Jayden’s first hair cut! It makes a huge difference doesn’t it?
Vic ~ Grrrr to your family!!!! That is great there is no more pink poo. I hope nothing comes fo it.
Jodie ~ Buggar about the house. It sounded huge!! You sound so busy!!! YAY for more teeth for Shaun!!!
Sara ~ Take it easy hun!
Shazz ~ rofl you are not boring! I am taking Em in tomorrow so it will be interesting to see what he weighs. I honestly feel as though he’s stacked on a kilo in the past few weeks!
Well I was meant to be studying this morning but slept in then had dramas with my computer and couldn’t turn it on. Obviously all fixed now but I’ve been loafing around and posting rather then studying. I’m going out for lunch and then working tonight so won’t be around this afternoon. Bought Em a gorgeous Bonds Hoodie last night. I can’t wait to try it on him!! It’s a blue, grey and red one! I’ve got a red and blue jumper on layby for him as well. I love BONDS!! LOL.
Hello Everyone.
It has been so long since I have written. I am so busy at work and I am hardly on the computer at home.
Katerina is well Shaza. She is almost 1, almost!! We are having a little party for her and some kids at Lolly pop playland. She is officially 1 on the 11th May. It has been such a long haul and she is wonderful and just so smart. She is becoming a little parrot. It is just soo cute. It is nice to be able to get some sleep now!! THank goodness.
Hope everyone is well
Vic- Erin and Jess both did ballet for a year at age 4 (Jess) and 5 (Erin) but they quit after 1 year as it was pretty intense and I'm just not that kind of mum LOL Erin did soccer and T-ball last year (winter/summer) she is like me she likes to try things out then stop LOL Erin just does swimming in summer now and drama one afternoon per week. I find if they do too much too young they ge too tired and don't have time for homework and play. Really as a teacher I would advise 1 out of school activity for Hayley's age group. I think I would wait until Dylan starts school before letting him do AFL but thats just my opinion.
Vic ~ we ended up going with the climbing gym thingy with a crawling tunnel for ryans b day
sport yes sheridan has done netball since she was 7 and is now heading for 13 and playing representitive squad and Nick has played nettaball ( ball skills )inthe first half of the year from 7 yrs old and then afl in the second half ( auskick) mainly ball skills and a run around
it can be difficult getting them to commit to homework over the fun stuff though
Evening girls!
Well i did'nt need to go in to the hospital!! So thats good. Mum and a few other family members gave me a suprise visit with some Cheesecakes today so that was nice. We had some cake and went for a walk around that place to get some fruit and some other plants.
Briley has been a shocker all day again. She is soooo clingy at the moment its not funny. Its hard to try and do anything for myself.
I was going to do personals but brent is calling at 8 and i have a million things to do before he calls. Washing up, feed the animals, get my bags ready for tomorrow, get briley's bags ready for tomorrow and have a shower! Anyways, Sorry!
I am kinda looking forward to the test tomorrow. At least this will determine wether i have to be ready for a prem baby or not. It will also prepare me mentally. I am hoping to the heavens above that it comes back negative though. Fingers and toes and everything else crossed!
So i wont be on in the morning but i will be back tomorrow to let you in on the news. Wish us luck!
Hope you are all well! Talk then!
Ciao
Jodie: What a shame about the house!! You will find another one (just maybe not as big and for that price). I hope your MS eases up for you!
Sara: YAY for getting through the night LOL…..Thanks for those pics they are great!! Briley is gorgeous of course and your belly…wow! I miss my belly now (I still have one just not with a baby in it hehe). How great of your mum and relies to drop in….mmmm cheesecake!! Good luck for your test, I’ll be thinking (and praying) for you…send me a txt I can’t wait until I get home from work to find out LOL.
Shazz: You’re not boring at all!! Has Ryan lost the weight from being sick? Poor bub, measurements seem pretty good though.
Nat: He makes me so mad you have no idea LOL I bite my tongue so many times because some things aren’t worth fighting over or I know I will have to explain something 10 times before he understands. I want to do the train but hmmm it looks difficult haha. I couldn’t believe how a haircut can make babies look like little kids haha. Bonds stuff are fantastic!! I haven’t bought any for ages (other than singlets).
Vic: We are probably going to get Jayden a swing set, you’ve probably already got that though.
Jayden made a liar out of me today, we got to FDC and I was telling SIL & BIL how Jayden took 6 steps in a row last night and then he wouldn’t even take 1 step for them!! He was tired though as he got up at 5.30am again…..I got him some Dimetapp this afternoon so I hope that works. Who was talking about Dimetapp recently? Does it work for coughing? They said it does but there is nothing on the packet about coughing. Anyway I’m off to bed (shortest post from me in a while hehe).
No your aren't boring Shazz!
Here's an excerpt from the mouths of babes...
My sis: How much do you love Nanny?
My 3yo nephew: Lots and lots

Nephew: Just the littlest bit....

Tania, Darcy did that exact same thing to me, and now where she used to loved walking, and holding your hands, now she flat out refuses. However she did show mum and dad today....my dad is just the proudest Poppy!
OK need reassurance that I am not the worst mother in the world.
Jess was supposed to go to a party tonight at an older girl from work's place. A friend also 15 was going with her. I asked Jess a number of times were the parents going to be home, had the plice been informed etc (Yes I know I am paranoid) Anyway I just had a bad feeling, it seemed odd tohave a party on a thursday night - Jess said it was the school hols thats why Thursday. Anyway tonight before i drove them there I found out the address from J and looked up the number and rang the house and asked to speak to Mrs. XYZ. Surprise Surprise the girl on the phone said oh no shes on holidays and won't be back until tuesday! I truly don't think J knew the parents weren't going to be there but anyway it worried me and as DH said we can't take this other girl without checking with her parents. The other girl begged me not to call her mum as she wouldn't be allowed to go. Then the girls said they couldn't get hold of other mum. I meanwhile rang the local police to see if the party had been registered and spoke to this lovely lady cop who said the party hadn't been, and that if it was her she wouldn't be letting her 15 yr old go! (She was so nice, we had a good chat) Then I found out there weren't bouncers either, just boys at the party would act as bouncers.
Eventually I got to speak to J's friend's mum (and to this day I don't believe it was really her mum) and she was fine about her daughter going to the party so I said OK I'll drop her there but you will have to sort out how she is getting home. The "mum" said, oh, umm I'd better speak to DD. Long story short (well not really LOL) the other girl after many texts and calls gets a lift home (her mum didn't want to pick her up apparantly) and I dropped her at the party. Jess now hates me and is in her room crying. I feel really bad cause she says she feels like she is being punished for being good, and I have tried to tell her that despite how it feels she isn't being punished we are just keeping her out of a potentially dangerous situation. I am worried I am driving her into rebelling but just want her to be safe.
Sorry for the long ramble just needed to vent.
You're doing a good job. Christine I would have told you exactly the same thing had you rung my station. I would have done exactly what you did. You also get extra good mother points for effort, initiative and conscience. She probably is going to rebel one day, but not to the extent you're worried about. I wish I could take her out with me for a few nights for you. She'd know how great you are then.
You have no idea how much I needed those words Kim. She has cried herself to sleep and my heart breaks for her but I know I couldn't let her go. I know she will understand one day but its a long way from now. i wish you could take her out too. She thinks that we live in this safe friendly little world and whilst i never want her to get hurt I need her to be aware of the dangers. OMG motherhood never gets easier does it?
Christine, You did the right thing... no question about it.
You cannot take any risks nowadays. With SMS notification, there could be hundreds of people at that party within minutes - and there could be so much trouble. There could be alcohol/drugs and people spiking drinks.
Can you imagine how much trouble that girl will be in if the party gets out of control and the house is trashed while her parents are away???????? Obviously 15 year old girls don't think of the consequences. Part of me hopes that nothing happens, but part of me hopes that something little happens so that girl learns a big lesson and her parents are furious with her. Talking of her parents... did they leave a 15 year old alone at home while they are on holidays?? That's just stupid if they have!
Don't worry about Jess.... she will get over it.
Shaun is such a little monkey. The other night I found 5 bottles down the side of his cot (between the wall and the cot bumper). Then tonight I pulled the cot away from the wall and found SIX dummy's!!! Then tonight he was in his room playing, and when Yariv went in there, all his clothes were on the floor. He had upturned his toy box, stood on it, opened the wardrobe door and pulled out all the clothes he could reach!!! I think it will be any day now that he climbs out of his cot...
