Hi Girls,
Samuel is back to his usual self, so not too sure if those molars have made an appearance or not....strange, he had a temp all night and then woke this morning happy and quite chirpy. Phoebe is still going great guns with her night sleeping. Put her down the other night at 9pm and she slept until 6am...although you would think that I wouldn't be sleep deprived with a baby sleeping like that but you see I stay up until all hours scrapbooking and stuff...I really enjoy my me time.(with no interruptions) It's great when our little ones start smiling, but how cute is it when they start to chuckle and laugh. (Happy and sad at the same time...happy for obvious reasons, it's just wonderful when their little faces light up and also sad, they just grow so quickly.*sigh* NO not having anymore, BUT....I have to keep repeating this to myself. I have a pigeon pair, gotta be happy with that.....BUT (lol)
Sorry no personals tonight, hope everyone is well....Take Care X

Hi girls...
Just introducing myself! I'm Jodie & my little boy Shaun was born on 27th May. (particular hi to Kellee & Sherree... who I know online!).
I hope to get to know all my fellow mummies.
I'm a first time mum... and boy it is hard work.
It's 1.50am as I type this (not been to been to bed at all)... so I will be hitting the sack very soon! Have to get up early to take my dog to the vet (has a sore foot).
Look forward to 'chatting' with you all soon!
Jodie
xx

Hi Jodie and welcome to May buddies. I have added your details in on the front page for you.
-
Welcome Jodie.
Glad everyones bubbys are doing well. We too were suffering the wind thing here until my sister reminded I suffered the same thing with my first bubby and I took out all the green veges from the diet ie broccoli, any beans, peas etc. So I once again took out all veges barring potatos, carrots and pumpkin and I have not had that awful unsettled screaming since!I agree, it can almost always be traced backed to mummys diet.
Vic... I cant believe that about mums group! Esp the supervisor of the group saying what she did! It has been said to me that mums group is really for 1st time mums as well!!! We could try to meet half way from the north side of Brissy once in a while
if anyone is interested. Is anyone?
Went walking today and got stuck in rain just as my friend drove past and managed to get a lift back home - how lucky. Saved the kids getting another cold.
Matty was weighed yesterday at 8w 3d and he was just over 5.5kgs. Little porky. Growing well though.
Both kids are asleep at the moment so I should go for a lay down
Ciao

Weolcome Jodie! Hope you enjoy our board.
Wow Vic and Shan, those boys are going great guns with their weight :)!
Man, the screamer has been on all day and night again. Felt bad but dosed her with panadol at luch....seems to be working. She's not asleep but at least calmer. She's even losing her voice.
I have also managed to have a hug fight with MIL today. She upset DH and then dared to ring me and air her veiws. Don't know how she thought that might make me visit more......was so irate I had to ring my mum. :grrr:
Vic i'm so proud of you with the exercise !!!!
We had some people we met in antenatal class over for dinner Wednesday. They are really nice so hopefully that continues, and some more friends over tonight. Need something to look forward to today...
Sheree, can you send me your mailing address?
-
I had Shaun weighed in earlier this week (6w 2d) - and he was 5.2kg !!!
I dread to think how much he will weigh at 8 weeks!!
He's putting on over 250grams each week!!
Now that's a little piggy!

First of all I dropped off the notification list damn it! I thought you were all being extremely quiet lmao….
Well I have had a busy day. Ages ago my step-mum said she was going to come down to take me shopping for my birthday. Well last night she rang and organized it for today… and brought my 3 brothers and sisters as well LOL! I got a great new pair of black boots from Spendless of all places and 4 new tops as well. Em was an angel and slept the whole time – the other 3 however… urgh!! I don’t know how many times I had to say – “The baby is not a toy!” & “The pram is not a racing car!” I was glad to be coming home by myself with just Em!!! Even better my Dad might be able to get a 19” flat screen monitor cheap for me which would be great!
Em’s shots went fine – he cried a bit but overall was really good. He had a high temp last night – over 38 which came down to just over 37 with Panadol. He wouldn’t really sleep unless it was in my arms which was fine as I fell asleep too and we both woke at 4. And he’s pretty much been sleeping all day too. He hasn’t really been interested in feeding either? Is this normal? His temp is still up a bit now so I’ve just given him some more Panadol but other then that he seems fine. The dummy hasn’t left his mouth though…. Lets hope that habit doesn’t stick! I also had him weighed and he has put on 300g in 2 weeks so he now weighs 4.87kgs.
Sheree ~ I’m sending you all my hugs sweety. I can’t tell you how much I’m hoping things get better for you and Lachie the poor little mite. I’m sure the papsmear stuff is fine. OMG @ the pocket of fluid – couldn’t they have picked that up sooner?? Let us know what happens at the Dr’s. You’re in my thoughts babe! Kims advice was excellent.
Kim ~ Damn about AF coming back and affecting the taste of your milk! Poor little Darcy. I hope she’s calmed down for you now. That is so great that you had people over from your antenatal class. You’ve inspired me to catch up with a few friends from mine. I will have to remember to msg them! We are all doing well with the MIL issues aren’t we? I hope it was sorted.
Shazz ~ Good to see you’re still around. How are things?
Mummy ~ I’m so with you on the smiles and the growing up! I can’t believe that Phoebe is doing so well!!! Em has had a few unsettled nights – firstly because of his gums and then lately his shots! Glad to hear that Samuel is back to his usual self as well!
Jodi ~ Welcome to Babies Born in May!!! Can’t wait to hear more about you and Shaun. He definitely sounds like a little piggy LOL.
Vic ~ OMG your little man is getting bigger isn’t he?? So glad that you’ve found a play group that sounds great. And yay for the exercise. Netball is a great way to get back into it as well as having the social contact outside the kids!! I’m starting the exercise thing soon I promise LOL. My best friend just bought a walker and runner and is having a key cut for me so I can get in and out of her place to use them. She’s also lending me her yoga tape and I’m waiting for the other tape from my mum. So then I just have to find the time and motivation!
Shan ~ Good to hear from you! Matty sounds like he is doing well!! I hope you enjoyed your laydown and yes you were extremely lucky to get out of the rain! We are having horrible weather here too. So cold and miserable!
Oh & Jess and Beck… so sorry about MSN the other night. I wasn’t at my computer and left it saying Online!! I felt so rude…
Also Jess – big hugs my sweet! After our MSN convo the other night and the post I just read about co-sleeping I think you need it. Keep your chin up and we’ll catch up on MSN soon I’m sure!
Well I’m just doing a load of washing and catching up on some posts and then I think I will got to bed. I’m going to the Parenting Expo tomorrow so I have to be up nice and early for that. I’ve never been to one before so I hope that its good! I hope everyone has a great weekend!
-
Lea, Matty had his inj on Thurs and was a bit out of wack on the day/evening and pretty much slept all of friday with a 4 1/2 hour sleep in the afternoon. it would have been longer if i had not have woken him. Shame the sleep pattern wont last though! He hasnt been interested in feeding much either. I wouldn't be concerned by this behaviour as it is pretty normal after inj. Just keep an eye on symptoms.
Scrappy Grrrr for MIL's.
Mummy4life - Hmmm ... losing track of time with scrapbooking! I know the feeling.
Going to Mums for the weekend in Twba so will be back on on Monday. Have a great weekend everyone
-
Quiet today.
Just got back from a baby shower! Had a lovely afternoon, but the monster is still upset. Poor thing, don't know what is the matter.
MIL not resolved. DH quite upset.
Question - had AF for a week two weeks ago (ended 5 days ago) and now have it again!? Anyone else can explain this? Is it normal?
-
Just wanted to let you know that Patrick is in hospital with bronchiolitis. He keeps de-sating so they are going to start him on oxygen soon.
-
Nat - how was the expo?
Shan - enjoy yourself in Toowoomba, you should catch up with Shazz while you are there!
Kim - AF what you got it already, I didn't think it was meant to come for ages, let alone again for you, what is going on there. I have been discharging the last couple of days too, but wouldn't quite say it was AF, not sure what is going on with me, as usual my body just won't co-operate, need to trade it in I think.
Jess - OMG is he ok? Hope Patrick gets better soon, poor little thing.
oh and Jody, welcome to our little group. Hope to catch up soon. Got your email just haven't had a chance to reply as yet. Hope you and Shaun are well.
-
Shan ~ Thanks that makes me feel better knowing that Matty has similar symptoms. Em's high temp's have dropped down today and though he's still off his food I think he's getting better. Hope you have fun at your mums!
Kim ~ I hope the MIL gets sorted soon. And I hope Darcy sorts herself out for you as well. Glad to hear that your baby shower went well. I can't explain the AF stuff to you... I got AF rather heavily for 5 - 7 days and then it stopped. I had the implant put in on the last day so that makes things a little different for me.
Jess ~ I hope little Patrick is better soon.
Sheree ~ The expo wasn't that great. It was small and there was hardly anything there. There was a toy sale nearby and I picked up a singing and dancing Banana in Pajamas toy for Em for only $16. He loved it! Hope you're feeling better soon sweets. And you don't want to trade that body in - that body did a massive amount of hard work bringing your little boy into the world and once you're feeling better you're body is going to be a shrine LMAO... *giggle* ok I'll stop with the mad advice now! I hope you're smiling though :)
Just thought I'd pop in and say hi before I go and cook tea! I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
-
gosh Jess ~ hope Patrick makes a speedy recovery poor little mite
Kim ~ don't know about the AF Question But bugger ... i'm so hoping for a reprieve for at least another 4- 6 months ( just hoping and wishing ) bloody MIL's i'm going to be the best MIL when i become one after hearing and seeing some shocking things my sisters MIL used to do to her i was ever so grateful i got a good one i got on better with my MIL then i do with my Mum. it's sad that Ryan will never know his paternal Grandparents
Sheree ~ Nat's right you did some heavy duty work bring your little guy into the world don't be so hard on your self " every day is a new day " This is my new motto along with "what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger"
Shan ~ we will have to meet one of these weekends you are visiting your mum for sure
we've had a crappy day today my poor little dude has been a little poop machine pooping pooping pooping add a bit of screaming and a dash of "hell no i won't go " to bed that is and that adds up to a very grumpy baby and a very frustrated mummy so i have finally got him down and i'm making a dash for my bed before i'm back up walking the floors night night every one hope you are all have a great weekend and your little bubbas are doing what good bubbas do
-
Shazz - sounds like my days only probably more and more screaming, although today wasn't sooo bad, but he is having a hard time with pain atm, so hopefully we are not in for a long night. Hope Ryan sleeps for you real soon, you pray for me and I will pray for you.
Vic - yeah I am the same, I express and stuff all but then Lachie throws up sooo much that I guess he can get more then my expressor can. And yes today, Lachie has been the same feeding soo sooo much, every 1 - 1 1/2 hours, not sure if my body is keeping up, I sooo hope it is, cause I need sleep!!!!
It is sooo funny atm, wade has just finished playing soccer and it is his turn to nurse Lachie and the thing is Lachie just doesn't like us sitting down and nursing him, has to be standing up, and our backs are killing, but tonight wade's knees are giving away and he is complaining like buggery!!! This is what I do all day long.
-
Thats what I have been doing the last couple of days with Pat, feeding him every 1-2 hours!
RE- wondering if he is getting enough! My milk supply is good to start off with then dwindles to basically just fluid no nutrients. I found if they are constantly hungry then maybe they need a top up with formula. Now i'm no expert but thats is how it worked with me!
WEIGHT- Patrick weighed in at 3280g on Monday,Thursday he dropped to 3110g,Today dropped to 3080g then this arvo went up to 3150g.
-
Oh Jess, thinking of you and little Pat tonight.
-
Jess – omg, poor little Patrick. I really hope that everything is ok and that he’s home with you soon. I’m sending you all the healthy vibes I can and thinking of you both.
Lea – Us? Extremely quiet? Um, no. Sounds like Em is doing well in the weight stakes. I wouldn’t worry about the slowing in the rate of growth… the fastest growing happens in the first few months and then it slows down. Glad DP was able to come with you to the jabs. It’s awful, isn’t it? Charlie gets exhausted after his shots too, so don’t worry too much unless it continues for more than a day or two, I reckon.
Sheree – oh love, you poor thing. I know that you’re going through a tough time atm. I wish you lived closer so that I could come and have a cup of tea with you! Please feel free to email me anytime you like – I had complications after I had Charlie and it really marred my experience of being a mum for the first few months because I felt like no one understood how I felt. You don’t have to do it alone… we’re thinking of you.
Kim – aagghh! Just when you think you’ve got them figured out they go and change everything. I bet she’s going through a growth spurt and you’ll both come out the other side of it ok. I’d forgotten about AF changing the taste of the milk… wow, you got it back early! Bugger! And what’s with MIL?! What a pain. Not sure why she thought you would side with her over DH.
Mummy – wow, that’s awesome that Phoebe is still sleeping so well! I understand the ‘me time’ thing – both my boys are asleep and I really should go to bed in preparation for the night ahead, but I need my BB fix! LOL at you saying ‘but…’ a lot. I’m keen for the next one in the next year or two, but we have to wait until Charlie starts school (at least) if at all.
Jodie – hello! I didn’t realise that you had Shaun earlier than I had Toby! Welcome to BB… are you still visiting ozgeek? I haven’t been there in a while…
Vic – glad to see that you’re on the way to meeting some other mums. Thanks for the idea about the naturopath – I think they’re great, but I haven’t been to one in a while and had kind of forgotten about them to be honest! I will visit one if Toby’s wind pain continues. And YAY for exercising! It will make you feel so much better… I have lots more energy since I started walking again. Glad you had fun at netball. I’m too unco for anything like that! Re: b/f… could you express fully from each breast after you feed him so that you can see if there is any left? When I’m worried about my supply I do that and if there isn’t enough left for my liking (I’m usually a cow) I express after each feed for 10 minutes or so for a few days and that usually bumps it up a bit, so at least I know he’s getting enough.
Shan – hmm, I have been eating lots of veggies… maybe I should re-evaluate my diet and see if it makes a difference. Glad to hear that it worked for you. I am definitely interested in meeting up sometime with anyone who can make it. Not sure where though… Sounds like Matt is growing so well! They stay little for such a short time… * sigh *
Shazz – ah, hope you get some sleep tonight! Don’t they realise that it’s much easier for everyone involved if they just go to sleep? They’ll feel better, Mum will feel better and then everyone will be happy! Alas, doesn’t work that way.
Single parenting tonight – DH has started back at his radio station shifts every fortnight. So far (touch wood) everything is going ok. Fingers crossed it stays that way! Poor DH will be stuffed tomorrow, but Mum is having Charlie for the day (more for her benefit than ours!) so we’ll probably get a chance to sleep. I’m having my family (Dad, Mum, brother, almost SIL and Nana) over tomorrow night for dinner because she’s visiting from down south and going home on Monday. We’re having roast pork with crackling and white chocolate and raspberry self-saucing pudding. Yum! Hope it all turns out ok!
Anyway, hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

Gosh just had to jump on and ask if anyone else is using Infants friend. Because Lachie has reflux and has just developed a cold, I was very wary trying this stuff until I knew the reflux meds were working (even though I had a very good idea he has colic too). But when he got sick with a cold, well lets just say I am not sure why he is upset all the time, but guessing it is from the cold. He fed really well yesterday and then come 5pm things changed and we had a really bad night with him up until 1pm today. I said to Wade bugger it I am sick of giving him meds but we need to see if it is the colic upsetting him or not. Gave him 10 drops just before his feed and whalaaa one happy baby FINALLY! Hoping this is not just a coincidence.............
-
Thanks to everyone for their welcomes.
Kellee: my little one came early, and yours came late hey? I was originally due on the 3rd-5th June. But Shaun was a big boy, and I don't think there was much room left! I check out ozgeek most days, but I don't post much.
Sheree: I've been using infacol wind drops because Shaun just would not burp. But now he does beauties!!! And he's always been a farter. You're sure that there will be a smelly nappy, but no - all air! I hope Lachy remains a happy baby.
Shaun has had a terrible cough for the last couple of days. Took him to the doctor, and he said he will be okay. But it's gut renching to hear them coughing. There is nothing you can get to soothe such little babies... but I give him some baby panadol once a day to ease the pain. Hopefully it won't last too long.
-
Sheree - we've just started using Infant's Friend because Infacol had no affect on Toby. Hope it works out for Lachie and for Toby!
Jodie - hope that Shaun is feeling better soon. Not much you can do except wait for it to pass. I meant to ask, are you bf?
Hope everyone is well... a bit quiet in here today.
-
no... not breast feeding. On his 2nd day in hospital the nurses put him on formula because he was screaming all the time. Turns out he lost 1/2 a kilo by his 2nd day. After going onto formula, he increased weight. I've tried to breast feed. I've spent a day at a lactation centre. But it just isn't happening. At times I've tried to express for an entire day - and managed to get 20mls out of both breasts. Even the lactation centre said I shouldn't bother with breast feeding. I try to express occassionally - but same results (10-20ml) and I put him on the boob occassionally - but I think it just soothes. He really doesn't like the boob. You can see the look of dread when I lift my shirt up!
-
Oh Jodie, that's sad about the b/f, but so long as Shaun's happy. I was wondering if you could get cough medicine for wee babes....guess not.
Kell, I'm back on my own too for a couple'a nights. I must be used to it, cos I' not fussed, but I refuse to answer the phone at the minute because the saga (now infantile and selfish on thier parts) with the IL's continues! I wish they could see how upset thie son is. No parent should want their child to be upset, let alone just so they get what they want! Got an upset tum this arvo. Worried a bot cos we all know Darc isn't a sleeper and I'm worried I'm gonig to be ill and have to leave her screaming for a bit.....
Also, this may be TMI but I'm worried. This AF is VERY heavy (I have never ever lost much). Does that sound normal? (Considering I only had another lot less than a week ago). Might wait a couple of days and ring the GP.
ETA: I've lodged my tax return electronically this arvo, done four loads of washing and now i'm going to scrapbook! VERY proud of myself!!
-
Went over to hospital today to see Patrick.I lasted 20 mins, before I burst into tears!
They put him on oxygen last night and the nasal prongs didn't work, so put a box over his head and pumped humidfied air into it.There is only one thing wrong with this, and that's the fact that noone can hold him and I can't BF him.
I was full on my left side last night so I expressed it of, but unfortunately my right side decided that when it was full, it was too tender to touch and now because of the virus I have, I now have Mastitis in my right side.
About 3 hours ago I started to get really cold and I just thought, that the virus was hitting me hard, but then I started hallucinating and I was delirious. Apparently I thought Patrick was next to me and then he had disappeared. I was literally screaming DH said.He finally got some nurofen into me and I feel a bit better now.
-
Oh Jess. I'm so sorry to hear everything that is happening to you and Patrick. You will both get better - soon. Hang in there. Patrick is getting the best care he can.
There are lots of viruses going around. It has gone through our household, and now my little one has it and is crying non-stop. It's heartbreaking. And when they are so small there is nothing you can give them to relieve the coughing.
Ensure you keep your own health up for when Patrick comes home. You don't want to run yourself down. It's a real shame about the mastitis. Can that heal up & you continue to breast feed later? I hope so for your sake.
Take care of yourself. Hugs to you.
-
Oh Jess I was just about to have a whinge about my crappy night, but you sound awful. Hope your situation improves. Jody's right, it's the best plce for Pat.
Well my eventful evening started with an unsettled tummy (DH is at work until 2am). Was feeding her at 9pm and had to detach to throw up! Poor kid was screaming, I felt awful but nothing I could do as I threw my heart up(11 times if you're interested). Rang DH but had to speak to his partner as he was doing the same....guess its something we ate. Hope it can't be passed to bugalugs....
-
Scrappyfish - ensure you keep drinking water (or dry ginger ale to calm the stomach). Keep your fluids up.
I got food poisoning when I was about 32 weeks pregnant - and I ended up in hospital with 2 drips as I was so dehydrated.
-
Shazz ~ I hope your little man is feeling better and the pooping has stopped!! I hope you've managed to get some sleep too.
Sheree ~ I just love getting the exasperated looks or comments from DP to which I just say "I've got this all day!" And your poor legs having to stand and feed!! YAY for one happy baby finally - is it still working? You must be so relieved for your little man!
Kellee ~ I was glad that DP was there for the shots as well. I'm not overly bad but I hate seeing him upset like that. I hope the single parenting went alright and the dinner sounds delightful btw. I'm frightfully jealous!!!
Vic ~ Sorry I've got no idea on your BF question!
Kim ~ How crappy that you are both sick. I know how awful you would feel having to leave Darcy to cry while you are being sick. DP was sick the other week and I wondered what I would do myself if I got it as well. Fingers crossed that Darcy doesn't get anything as well! And congrats on getting so much done - I'd be proud too. BTW I didn't have the second AF like you but mine was incredibly heavy - I was wearing maternity pads again LOL. Maybe get it checked out if its worrying you.
Jodie ~ LOL at Shaun having a look of dread when you lift your shirt up!
Jess ~ I hope you are holding up okay and that little Patrick is improving. You are both in my thoughts. Sorry for missing your MSN convo yet again!
Em's still out of sorts today and now I'm not sure if it was the shots or not. He's only having 3 - 4 bottles a day when he normally has 5 -6. And he has gone to one poo a day and they have gone quite firm and a real dark forest green. Then tonight he had a bit of an explosive one quite similar to when he was on BM... He's still dribbling heaps and biting everything that goes near his mouth. He's still quite fussy and can scream for up to an hour at a time and I've got no way to comfort him... Does this sound normal?? Any ideas anyone?!?! I'm not sure if something is wrong or not. I was thinking of ringing the parenting helpline.
Well I just finished typing that letter to my Nana that I've been meaning to do for well over a month now. The poor dear was asking my Dad how I was the other day as she hadn't heard from me.... oops!! Em went to bed early so I decided to finish it off, so its printed and now I'm heading to bed. I will post it off tomorrow with some gorgeous photos of Em of course! (Including the shot of him in the jumper she knitted!!) Ok now I'm just tired babbling... Nighty night guys!
-
Hi girls,
Jess ~ Glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better. Hope that Patrick is on the mend soon, he is in the best place. Take care of yourself...it must be hard being away from your little man.
Jodie ~ welcome....sorry to hear that BF was unsucessful for you, as long as your little man is happy that's the main thing.
Scrappy ~ It might just be a good idea to visit the doctor...if it doesn't seem right to you than it can't hurt to have it checked out. How that Darcy doesn't get sick as well....bad enough being sick yourself. Hope you get better soon. So did you get any scrapbooking done???
Kellee ~ how did your dinner go...sounds yummy, what you were having. mmmmmm
Lea ~ Em just might be teething...it sounds like he as all the signs of it. Can you see what his gums look like at all. I have found that panadol works a treat with teething, usually just before bed...helps them get through the night. Good Luck. Did you see that Pixifoto are going to be at coles on 28th & 29th July...haven't decided if I will take Samuel and Phoebe, I have pics of Samuel done at 4 mths...got the free print, but didn't purchase any as I wasn't particularly happy with them. I might just give them another chance. Would love a really lovely picture of my 2 little cherubs together.
-
Thanks girls. Feeling marginally better this am. When I got back from the bathroom Darc was laughing at nothing anyway- no symapthy from her. Poor DH threw up on the side of the road while his partner was issuing a ticket! He went round the corner, but they are videoed and wear long range mikes so the poor thing all the sound effects were recorded! LMAO! It was a great joke in the office last night.
Yes Jess I did get a page done for the first time in AGES. Thank goodness for BH sketches.
-
YEAH post Vic on what helped you, that would be great.
Must be going around this sickness, Lachie is still coughing like crazy, poor little mite, he has so much to contend with.
-
Oh Adam, sweety hope you feel better soon. WHose idea was it to have a baby right before winter??? We all seem to have bugs.
OMG the IL have just told DH that they think they should be seeing the baby more, looking after her one day a week, I should be visiting their family more, we are underfeeding her and that she should be on solids and formula, that I shouldn't be seeing y family so much, that we should let them hold her more, that I should be home when they want to visit, that we are keeping her from them and that we didn't buy his brother an engagement present! DH is so upset (and sick) he is not coping well. I want to ring and say how dare they make their child so upset just because they aren't getting what they want. Who are the parents? I want to say how dare they tell me how to parent and whom I should see and when (their own children are ALL obese - so we'll be listening to their dietarty advice - NOT). As as for they should be looking after her....MIL is so fat she can't put her own shoes on or carry out the washing and FIL had a hip replacement so reckons he can't walk anywhere (Yes they have a disabled pass)...would you leave a small child with her??? We got in trouble for patronising his sister who only speaks in a baby voice and does everything we ask her not to, and they expect to hold the Christening when none of their children are chirstend baptised or otherwise nor have god parents! She said why do I spend so much time with my mum and that she's a mum too? She's not my mother nor did I ever ask her to be - they screwed up their own children (besides DH) she's not haivng a go at mine. Added to that they seem to have forgotten that in the last ten years DH gave them $30000 cos they had no money and bought them a car and a washing machine. They've never offered us anything cos they think we're rich cos we have nice things. Not to mention that we've worked hard for those thins and some weeks only have $10 in the bank...
I am so sorry, but I need to get it off my chest. Aren't parents supposed to be more concerned with the welfare of thier own children rather than hurt them to get what they want? My mum can't believe they are being so childish and neither can I. Now poor Cam everytime he looks at Darcy he is reminded how awful they feel about me. I've told hime they aren't coming here anymore and I wont' be going there. The poor thing wants to go and find a country spot to get away from them. I can't believe how different he is from his entire family.
Really sorry again. Feels better to let it out. Don't know what we're going to do about it though. Do you think it would be rude to write them a letter?
-
OMg Kim what a nightmare i hope things start to settle down for you guys soon so much stress don't these people know it is already stressful enough being new parents hugs to you both
-
Thanks Shazz. No apparently they think it's a breeze (my 5 hours sleep per day baby is hard work), and they don't care anyway.
On the flip side, does anyone miss being pregnant? I find myself wistfully staring at the beely buddies threads wishing it back. I guess I hated the first 30weeks and so want to enjoy one. We will be TTC in Dec next year hopefully but that seems so far away....

Lea - Jovi has been the same last couple of days. She has always done 1 poo a day (that's her habit), but she skipped on Friday then had the same horrible forest green Saturday and Sunday. Waiting for her one today (which is overdue!) ... we usually give her Infant's Friend but have been trying to cut her down a bit ... dosed her up today though so hopefully her pain in the belly will go away and poos return to normal ... so hard to clean up!
Had DH's parents here since yesterday ... they've gone home now. Though his Mum could stay forever! Jovi let her feed her (which is a first!), burp her and she slept soundly when she was supposed to! Grr ... she won't do that when she's not here little the bugger (e.g. she's awake now but should be asleep! lol).
DH is an avid South's supporter ... he went and bought her a little jump suit today and put it straight on her ... she's sp cute! I can't wait until he finds the bloody cord for my dig. camera so I can put more pics on her website. Have a few more to add but makes it a bit easier when I don't have to keep getting film etc. Grrrr ...

Oh Babycrazy, that does sound cute. My DH loves the Eels, I don't think I'll mention that to him though...
Yep I'm haunting the threads today...could go and clean the loo from last night....oh who cares this is a yuck day anyway, why make it worse?

Kim gosh that is terrible how sick you were, hope you feel better soon honey.
Just a quick one girls:
I am being really paranoid, someone please tell me what is going on. I for the last couple of days have noticed my boobs do not feel as hard and full as they use to. I even use to be able to touch and fill the milk ducts full. I don't feel any of this anymore and today Lachie has been fusing around my boobs soooo much, particularly my right but sometimes left. It is as if there isn't much there or something, as my the flow use to be so strong he would pull off as he could not keep up with the flow at times and I would see it squirting out. I have on a number of these occassions after a feed tried to express to see what was going on and yep sure enough stuff all, like 10ml if I am lucky from both boobs and that is after 15-20mins. I drink so much water ever day like 3 litres minimum, so I don't know how to increase my milk supply. I guess the more I worry about this the less chance my milk supply will increase but when he fusses and won't attach this is really concerning me. Any advice?

Sheree, I'm only new like you too, but I have noticed mine aren't as hard asthey used to be. I figured it was just after they had 'settled'. Today I have had issues as I haven't been eating, but an increase influid seemed to help this arvo. Kellee recommended expressing every feed for a couple of days to build it up if you aren't happy, but it sounds like you are trying that.
I was reading a great thread for breastfeeding mums the other day. Have you tried posting on there?

Quick post....
have just popped home from the hospital.
I took Shaun to the hospital on Sunday night as his cough was persistant, and he was doing projectile vomits.
Turns out he has brochialitis, and they admitted him/us.
I thought we could go home today - but no...
Then I thought we could go home tomorrow... but that's looking unlikely.
We might be home on Wednesday?! :-(
But the good news is that he is sleeping heaps !
Got to find the bright side of things I guess.
Will post again when I get home again.
ciao,
Jodie
