Babies Born in May 2006 #5

Hi again everyone,

I felt heaps better after my walk, I vented to my friend while were out (poor girl!!). If I get a phone call tomorrow from any SIL I will put my foot down and say no I need ME time!! I spoke to my mum last night (she's in Melb) and she agrees with DP about putting Jayden on formula. I don't love or hate BF but I would like to keep going just because we had come so far.....and I want to love it. Crossed fingers that we have a good night tonight. I'll leave my gripes with DP out of this post LOL

Vic: LOL...playing tricks on each other, that is so funny!! I would do that too if DP changed nappies...but poor Jayden would be sitting in poo until he was old enough to change himself if I wasn't around!! I haven't used sick kid as an excuse yet...but I have used 'Its too cold to take te baby out'. HOW EXCITING....A NEW PUPPY!! You will manage I'm sure!

Kim: My DP does NOTHING!!! I really gotta get tougher I think haha. Thank you for signign the guestbook, it was really nice, hope you don't get sick of me whinging about DP and his family LOL. WTG Darcy!! 500g is fantastic. Do you demand feed or routine? I demand feed but its apparently not working :(. Jayden would vomit probably 5 times a day!! Maybe not that bad anymore, but he still does it. I hope Darcy is ok...I'm sure she will be. Hope you enjoyed your night out!!

Tannis, Darcy never cries during the day when she's hungry so I went to routine. At least then I know she gets fed enough. At night she seems to stick to it. I guess it's like when you set your alarm to get up in the morning after a while your body just knows when it's time.

Morning Girls,

We had a good night last night....I swear this kid is messing with me LOL one good night, one bad night, one good night haha. Got him to sleep at 11pm and slept til 5am then went straight back to sleep til 8am, he coughed thats what woke me up and I think it woke him too, but I feel great today.....I've had my shower and brekki I'll just wait til Jayden wakes for another feed then we will fly out the door before anyone can ring and stop me LOL. DP has today and all weekend off, so we'll see how I feel by the end of the weekend haha. I hate to say it but Jayden and I are a lot more relaxed when DP isn't here, DP can't stand the crying (not that he Jayden cries that much) so when he does cry for a feed I feel I have to make him be quiet straight away and go to another room to feed him in case he cries again, if we are on our own I can let him cry a bit and then feed him where ever I want.

Nat: I've used snugglers, I didn't find anything wrong with them only that they don't look as nice as huggies (love pooh bear ;)) and to me they feel a bit thinner, but they haven't leaked. I only had a few because a my friends daughter was getting nappy rash from them and I took a few to try Jayden with them and he was fine so I'll prob get the rest of the box off her. I love checking other ppl's websites too, I have had a quick look at everyones but as I said haven't signed any guestbooks yet...(I will I promise hehe). I've never been busier either I thought I would get bored staying home and not working, but I wouldn't have time to go back to work anyway LOL. I know it was silly to be down about the feeding thing, I think I was just overtired and emotional....its weird getting emotional as I never used to be LOL. I hope your feeling better today, are you getting sick? OOO your not preggas again are you?? LOL

Kim: Darcy is a good girl!! I think I might try routine but I'll wait until I've had my appt with Alison see what she thinks. I heard on Kerri-ann yesterday that if you routine feed your body gets used to when its feed time and will produce better quality milk than when you demand feed, and she said to demand feed over night. It all makes sense and its working for you and Darcy.

Well best get ready to go otherwise I'll have a heap of ppl here LOL.....I have an undercover wear party tonight at SIL #6's place, but I will check in later.

Well, I've been a busy girl this morning. I cracked it with DH( who was talking to someone I would rather him not talk to!) and then took a leisurely walk into town with three children.Went to school to give the kids their playlunch and came home with Tim who had fallen asleep in the classroom. Normally Patrick hates being in the pram but today he was quite good, his cough has come back but we are keeping him warm and not letting him get too upset.

I am really sick!! I have a head cold (Thank you DP) and then this morning I woke up to gut pains and a gastro! I haven’t vomited yet (all the other end sorry TMI) but I really feel quite ****! So I’m not going anywhere today! Yesterday I went out for lunch with a friend from work – got home and promptly snuggled on the couch and the fell asleep on the bed snuggling Em LOL. I was awoken by DP calling me (grrr) but he made up for it by doing a late night Maccas run lol! Just wanted to pop in so I don’t fall behind again! I just got Em to sleep and hopefully he sleeps for a few hours!

Tannis ~ Def time to put your foot down. Having that time alone with Jayden and to yourself is good to have! Good luck with it! I must admit that I have had NO visitors during the day – even when Em first came home! Oh I’ve had a few here or there but other then that nothing!! I hate that “paranoid to keep them quiet” feeling – I was like that a bit with DP at first and then I realised it was more me then him and I got over it LOL. I do get it when I’m out though! Glad to hear he had a good night! Def NOT pregnant again LOL. I have the implanon implant in so unless that has failed (god forbid!) I’m in the clear! I am going to try the snugglers when I get to the shops. I was going to go today but I’m just to sick so I will venture out tomorrow. Its not silly to be feeling down – I feel down over the strangest things lately. I’m def a whole lot more emotional then I ever was these days!

Jess ~ Glad to hear you had a nice work and :hugs: on the DH talking to that person! I hope Patricks cough gets better soon!

I can’t work out if I’m hungry or sick lol. Just going to catch up on some threads. I’m alright atm I think. I’m still doing washing (crazy girl I know…) I wish there was actually something good on day time tele… I can’t be bothered starting scrap booking right now… I spose I could finish off my book… BBL (if I'm up to it!)

Afternoon girls,

Well I spoke too soon, not long after I finished my post and was about to feed Jayden MIL called to see what we were doing today!! I said we had photo's to get printed and groceries..."Oh we'll come with you then!" she says. I said ok and I'd meet her there and off I went to feed jayden.....I swear to god 10 mins later there is a knock at the door...MIL!!! Who knows why she bothered coming over when I said I will meet you there. While she was here SIL #1 called to see what we were upto. DP decided to come shopping too (big mistake letting him!!)so it was us, MIL,FIL,SIL and niece (who took another day off school for period pain) All was going well at the shops until Jayden wanted another feed so I went to feed him and DP, SIL and niece started the food shopping.....$180 later!! Little bit too much for 2 ppl I think!! I just keep thinking, it can only get better LOL.

Jess: A walk into town sounds good, how was the weather though? BAD DH for talking to bad ppl! Poor Patrick, hope he gets better soon. How come Tim fell asleep in class? Is he coming down with something too?

Nat: POOR YOU!! Maybe it was something you ate yesterday? Glad your not preggas again haha I would spend a few days on the couch or snuggling in bed with Em make sure you get over whatever it is properly. Your very lucky not having a heap of visitors, although none would get a bit loney I guess. Once or twice a week I don't mind but DP's family is just so big!! I was thinking about getting implanon but I've heard some women bleed heaps with it......Which is the other reason I want to keep BF as I haven't had AF yet YAY!! But Dr also said some women don't bleed at all, not sure what I want to do yet. My moods will pick up again soon I'm sure, just need sleep, eat properly and perhaps lose the IL's LOL. I hope you feel better soon!!

Well I'm off to put photos and dvd of Jayden in albums for my Melb friends and family then get ready for this undercover wear party.

Tania ~ OMG @ that amount of people. I would go bonkers! I don't know if its because I am used to not having any at all but that would drive me mad. I like my own space. I also prefer to visit people sometimes rather then everyone visit me. Sure its more work but it gets me out of the house and I can choose when its time to go! I had the implanon put around about 6 weeks ago (I think) I had a few weeks of spotting which is clearing up now and so far so good. My Dr said the same thing. It will either be good for or bad. He said they take up 30% out of those they put in because they're not compatible. But for the 70% that work its amazing. Like I said so far, so good. I hope the party is good tonight.

Shazz ~ Good luck at work tomorrow sweety! I'm sure you will be just fine. Work flew by real fast for me last weekend (only 4 hours though) and I was fine! I hope Ryan is ok!

After Tania made that comment about being PG again I thought to myself what would happen if I was! :eek: Went though all the options etc and all I can say is I take my hat off to you Vic. You do an amazing job.

I am feeling a bit better. Still crampy but better then today. I've been eating a bit too which is good. Staying in tonight - I have a few crappy DVD's to watch and my folks just dropped around some coke for me LOL. I have an addiction and when I'm sick its worse. When I had morning sickness coke and M&M's did the trick rofl!! 2 minutes ago the thought of M&M's made me feel sick and now the thought is appealing!! It is coming and going in waves right now... I hope its gone by tomorrow!! Have a nice night girls!!

Morning,

Last night was pretty good, Jayden slept on the way over there but woke up to his adoring fans cooing over him haha, he was happy sitting up in his pram talking and smiling away until one of my nieces pinched his cheeks and he started to cry and it wasn't really bad crying but he wouldn't stop until I got him back and he went back to sleep even though he was due for a feed. Then SIL #3 says " Any wonder he's not putting on weight if you don't feed him!" I am too nice, her comment upset me but I still said nothing, of course I didn't say anything to her for the rest of the night either. I ended up waking him for a bottle as it had been nearly 5 hrs since his last feed (FF must fill him up so much more!!). We didn't end up getting home til I think it was nearly 11pm.

I honestly don't know how I am putting up with it, I love my own space too. I'm the same Nat, I would rather go out to meet someone or go to their house so I can leave whenever I've had enough. Even saying that I'm tired and I want to have a sleep, they don't go they just say off you go we'll wake you when Jayden wants a feed!! I have to stop thinking about it I think, its not doing my supply any favours I'm sure!!

Kim: All my IL's mean well, but even if they didn't I live in a small town where I don't know very many ppl...I have to like them LOL I do have some of my own friends from work and DP's mates GF's but its not the same as my friends in Melb

Shazz: Hope you have fun at work, you will be fine! I hope Ryan is getting better....I couldn't find there you posted in the Breastfeeding thread (I'm probably looking in the wrong one hehe)

Nat: Still not sure about the impanon, DP def doesn't want any more babies in the near future and the mini pill isn't reliable enough - Well not so much the pill as it is me that won't be reliable enough to take it properly LOL

Vic: I agree with Nat, it takes a special person to raise 4 kids so close together, I would go crazy I think LOL congrats to you for doing such a wonderful job!!

Well Jayden is stiring now so I better have a quick shower, DP's playing footy today and I think I might go to SIL #4's house to get my hair done (she's a hairdresser) I'm going blonde I think but I will just get foils and go blonde gradually.....I haven't had my hair done since I was about 28wks preg!! Oh and I am having my first baby free and DP free night tonight, I'm going out with work...I hope I don't miss Bubs too much and come home early!! DP is looking after Jayden but I am getting SIL #1 to come and supervise LOL.

Feeling so much better today girls! Thank god! The cramps and waves of sickness have gone! Em of course didn't sleep through for 8 hrs either! He went down at about 10, woke up at 2 and then again at 6!! He must have a built in radar and knew I was sick hehe!!

Vic ~ I am going to the shops now to buy M&M's rofl. The perfect recovery food from being sick!!! ROFL @ driving DH nuts talking when he gets home. I am the same with DP but sometimes it doesn't matter if I've seen people or not. I'm a chatter if you can't tell....

Tania ~ Grrr @ SIL#3 how dare she! I would have looked at her, one eyebrow raised with the look of death on my face and said "Excuse me..." in a really sharp tone!!! Well that's what I think I would have done!! Cracks me up that you have SIL#1, SIL#2 etc. You poor thing! You sound overloaded. I know how hard it would be not to offend them because of course they are family and like you said some of the only 'contacts' you have. Have you considered joining a playgroup or mothers group at all?? I feel PG on the pill so it definately isn't reliable for me hence the implant! No more unplanned babies in my future rofl as much as I love my little boy!! Enjoy your night out tonight I'm sure you will be fine!!

I'm off to do my grocery shopping today and a few other bits and pieces. Not doing too much otherwise. I should get some scrap booking done seeing as I bought a new Anne Geddes set... and the girls in SA thread are threatening to come down to my place so I can 'show' them all what I've done so far *gulp* yep time to do some scrapbooking!!! Will pop back in later and see if any one has been in. Its been quiet the past few days... where is everyone??

i took Ryan to the MCHN yesterday and she weighed him he is 6.4kg and because he had only gained 80 grams in a week and has been pooing like a little poo machine instead of his normal one every 7 days she wanted me to take him to the doctors which i did to my total amazement this is what happened i told her everything that has been happening with him she checked him out and said he was perfectly healthy other then a slight runny nose then her response was well i think you should put him on formula he must be allergic to your milk WTF?????? i have gone through nearly four months of hell to be able to BF him just for a doctor to turn around after one visit to say this i couldn't beleive it i must have looked totally horrified cause then she completely changed her tune and prescribed maxalon to help increase my supply i don't get doctors if i had my way i wouldn't have taken him at all as his been pooing big deal he was still feeding at all the right times sleeping and generally a happy little mite just throught i'd share

so there where we are at all fun and games here ...

any way work went well Ryan was fairly good for dad they have asked me to do tomoorow as well so an early start 7 am jeez i hope i make it in time

Shazz, why does everybody attribute everything thats' wrong with your baby to breastfeeding??? Grrrr. Darcy only put on 50g a couple of weeks back and it turned out it was becasue she WAS fussing as I was getting AF back. Now I've had it so often she must be used to it, but the pooing was dreadful - HOWEVER whyd o people not ask adults what they're eating or how it's being presented when they have something wrong with them huh?? - COS IT'S NOT ALWAYS RELATED TO WHAT THEY'RE EATING!!!!
Great job though for getting through work today and best of luck tomorrow with being on time.

We had our reunion this arvo. Not many turned up, but those that did are probably the only ones I would want to keep in contact with so that was good. We're going to start our own mothers group as not many of us have one, so that will keep me busy. Might go and make an early dinner and get some sleep as we had a shocker last night....don't know what I'd do with a live in husband these days LOL (I see him so rarely)...

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Well unfortunately AF returned today (*sigh*). Almost 12 months to the day since I last had it. Phoebe has feed well today so doesn't seem to have effected her, at this stage. After having my son it returned the same time (when he was 3 months old) and within 6 weeks he was on formula so hoping I don't run into the same probs...little nervous.

Samuel has been sick this week with a virus, and has had the worst runny nose I have ever seen in my life. I have spent the week running around after him with tissues. By the end of the day though his sleeves on his jumper are full of yucky snot and he has even taken to wiping his nose on Phoebe's sleeves....little bugger.

Well I had big plans to tidy up my computer desk today so I could do some scrapbooking, trying to get it done tonight. I have just received a heap of scrapbooking stuff that I purchased off ebay and still have more to come next week....so I am hanging out to get stuck into it.

Vic ~ I too am a chatterbox when my DH comes home from work. Well I sit and listern to how his day went, my day has been just as important....even if it was full of pooy nappies and runny noses LOL.

Nat ~ Good to hear that you are feeling better. Wow @ the Anne Geddes set, I love them...I would have bought one of those, but had already purchased other baby albums.

Tania ~ what a horrible comment for SIL to make. I think I would have done the same as what Nat said. I think that if Jayden was hungry then he wouldn't have gone to sleep!!! So DP definately doesn't want anymore children....but what about you??? Have a great time tonight!

Shazz ~ Isn't it so annoying, just because a baby is BF, all the problems even the little ones stem from that and FFing is going to fix everything. What a joke. Phoebe's weight gain some weeks is small and others above average, to me this doesn't mean that she isn't getting enough, allergic or anything...go with what YOU think is right, if Ryan is feeding at the normal times, sleeping and generally happy then that's great, not a problem. I'm with you....I don't get doctors either!!

Scrappy ~ Good one on starting up your own mothers group, hope it all goes well.....yes it definately will keep you busy.

Babydreams: horrid thing that the doctor said to you! And it's Breastfeeding Week!!! I've heard that maxalon works really well. I got a script for it, to try to increase my supply, but it was all too hard... so I stuck to formula. Good on you for giving your baby the best you can. I wish that I could have.
Mummy4life: shame about the AF. It's nice not having it hey? Poor little Samuel. LMTO when you say he's wiping his nose on Phoebe's sleeves!

re: Scrapbooking - I am so keen to get stuck into it. I've bought a heap of stuff (about a year ago) - but have never found the time to do it. I've done one page. I now want to do a 'story book' about how my hubby & I met, our wedding, holiday, pregnancy and birth. Then all about Shaun! MUST MAKE TIME !!!

re: Mothers Group: I did my first MG on Thursday - and I really enjoyed it. There were 12 other mothers - and babies ranged from 5 weeks to 13 weeks & one was 5 months. It seems like a nice group of women, so I hope to make some new friends. Particularly as they are from the area - which would be good. I have be looking forward to mothers group.

re: TV appearance... Shaun and I will be on "A Current Affair" on Monday (Channel 9 at 6.30pm). It is a story about babies that don't sleep - and it features Pinky McKays book. She is soooo lovely. We have been to her baby massage class twice now, and she's phoned me a few times. Thankfully Shaun is sleeping much better now. Makes life a lot more bearable!

Just a quick one ladies,

Went to Lactation consultant (Allison) on Friday and well we are no further advanced. Last time I went Lachie didn't play up alot (just a little), but on Friday he was in fine form and she just couldn't believe what sort of trouble I was having. She agrees that it is possibly what the CHN said that he is associating my boob to the reflux pain but is also a very lazy bubba and won't work for that let down. She showed me how to compress my breast and we also tried giving him the bottle and me holding him in a football position and taking the bottle away to quickly put him on the boob. Appeared to work a little better but not great. Something we could work on really. But she could see how upset he was and how stressed this is making me and suggested that I give the whole boob thing a couple of weeks rest and just express and give him the bottle only, rather then perservering with putting him on the boob, then heating and giving him the bottle then expressing. She said what I am doing every 2 hours is very draining and I should just heat bottle, feed him the EBM and then express. Then in a couple of weeks you never know he might just go back on. The only problem I have with this is that I am going home to Mackay to see all the family with my sister, we are driving and I wanted this all sorted out by then. Doesn't appear that is what is going to happen now, but I just want what is best for him and both our sanity. So if in two weeks he is still playing up I am not going to try and put him on the boob again, it is just too hard!!! So I will take each day at a time and if I can keep expressing I will, but if I can't then I might do half EBM and half formula, but if too I get sick of expressing then formula it is. I just don't want to beat myself up about the decision I make, so I will just take each day as it comes and see what happens for now. I always said when we started having these problems I would like to get to 3 mths and we are fast approaching and if I can go further that will be a bonus. I would like to go further but we will see what happens. He seems to be taking well to the prescription formula (neocate) the one that has no cows milk and is very tasteless (thank god - don't need any more dramas).

The lactation consultant would like for me to keep in touch with her via email and she said she would support me either way I go from here as she can see how hard it is and how much he cries/screams. Their is a reflux support group here that I might join maybe someone else is going through something similar and might be of some assistance.

Gotta run he has an upset tummy today, like he did last night, think my EBM has remenents of a piece of spicy chicken wing that I ate!!!!!!! Grrr.... Just not sure which bottle it is in now and this EBM is like GOLD to me. I just can't win!!!

My little man was born on 2nd of May and I have been posting on a few of the other forums. It's great to see how many other babies were born in May!

Shereejoy, I had to express when Mason was about 2 months old as I had thrush in my nipples (very painful) and it hurt like hell to have him feed. So much so that I could be found crying every time I was feeding! It was such a pain to express for every feed but my nipples thank me now! All is going well now and he is 3 months. But I do seem to have a bit of trouble on my left side, he gets very restless and cries, we can't seem to figure out why. I had the same feeling of disappointment when I thought I had to put him on formula - that's what society and having a mother who wasn't allowed to breastfeed does to you! It's so hard for us and luckily I had the most wonderful lactation consultant who just inspired me to keep persevering. But it will be hard for you when you go travelling. Have you thought of complimentary feeding? Maybe when you are travelling, have your formula and when you get somewhere where you can express, change to that? I don't know, maybe that would be wrong. It's just so nerve racking changing to formula, will they like it? Will they never want my milk again! Gees, I thought childbirth was hard, but at least there's an end in sight!!!!! Good luck and I'll be waiting to hear how you're going....

delta_blue, cute photos!!!! Where did you get that insert that Cooper was in the bath with??? Our little one is way too big for his baby bath so would love to transfer him to the 'big' bath....

Sheree... I'm sorry to hear about all the problems you are having with BF. I really hope it sorts out for you... but don't feel guilt or anything like that if you have to give lachie some formula. He will still be a healthy baby, and he will be a happy baby, with a happy mummy. Do what YOU feel is right. If you want to breastfeed, then have a little break (if it's not working right now) - and go back to it. Or do both... BF & FF. He will get the best of both worlds! I wanted to BF - but Shaun was so stressed from it, which made me stressed. And with formula; I knew exactly how much he was getting and he didn't have to 'work for it'. I would have expressed if I could have done that - but my boobs were barren. I would try to express for an hour and be lucky if I got 20mls.

My step mum has just come back from the shops with more clothes for Shaun. she can't help herself! I don't think I've bought any clothes for him. Between presents & my step-mum he's got a huge wardrobe! I love the ones with 'wording' on them. Todays one was: 50% mummy, 50% daddy 100% cute! One I got the other week was "2am, my cot, bring a bottle". That should be on ACA tomorrow when I'm massaging him.

Sheree, sorry you didn't get much progress. I remmeber how frustrating that was for me at the start. You'd go and pour your heart out, baby would be a right snot and still no progress...grrr. I can also understand how time consuming the expressing is. There will come a point when in your heart you will know what is right for Lachie and you. You always have our support.

Mummy, Samuel is a naughty bugger!! Poor Phoebe! Hope he's feeling better soon.

Not much doing today. We went and picked DH up from Mum's where he stayed after the bucks night, and then went to the Holden show day. We have an old EH so have a big interest. We are looking at starting up a wedding car business, so all the concourse cars gave us a boost.

Well you girls now this is getting beyond the joke. I have AF AGAIN - that's right this is number 4!!!! I will be on the phone to the doctor tomorrow as I am feeling a bit anaemic and light headed at times and very tired - last thing I need. Will let you know how it goes.

Morning Girls,

My night out was fantastic! Mobile stayed in my bag for most of the night and I didn't call even once to see how Jayden was going, DP called me around 10pm for no reason (probably to find out when I was coming home haha) We went to the pub for a few drinks after the restaurant ( raspberry lemonade for me :() Then I was getting tired so I left at about 11pm. Jayden had slept the whole time then woke for a feed as I was going to bed, luckily I had enough to fed him and he went straight back to sleep til 7.30am.

Nat: How ws your shopping the other day? Buy anything nice for yourself? I told SIL #1 what #3 said, she wasn't impressed either! You are all right, I need to speak up a bit more, if she says anything again I def will. We are going to her place on Tues night for niece's 17th bday....so BRING IT ON LOL. As overwhelming as they all are, SIL #1 is very supportive and helpfull, she went through the same probs BF'ing as I did with her son (now 18yo)but she went into hosp and had to put him on a bottle when he was a few weeks old. Shazz: Could Ryan's pooping be related to what your eating rather than him being allergic to your milk? Seems strange that he had no probs before, I would get a second opinion, the runny nose surely has nothing to do with it at all. Is Ryan ok now? Did you use the Maxalon? I have been hearing a bit about it lately and want to know if it works as I want to have a go to see if it will boost my supply, is it easy to get a prescription for it? Did you make it to work on time for 7am start?

Kim: Great your reunion turned out good, wouldn't be as good if there were too many ppl as you wouldn't get to talk to everyone properly. I hope Darcy is sleeping better for you now, we still get nights where we don't sleep through but luckily he mostly does sleep through. How did DH hold up after the bucks night? Wedding car business sounds really good....Good luck with it!! Can't believe you have AF again...good thing you rang the Dr. Are you going to get checked out or just go off the pill. I'm not taking anything so I'm no help to you there, do they still do IUD's haven't heard of them in ages!!

Mummy: Poor you @ getting AF, "touch wood" I haven't got mine yet. Strange how you got it back the same time as you did with Samuel. I hope he is feeling better, LOL and yuk with wiping his nose on Phoebe's sleeves....was his sleeves too full? LOL. Dp will probably want 1 more baby but not for quite a few years, whereas I would rather have then closer together. I'm def not ready for another one yet so I'll work on DP in the mean time LOL. I think I did say to SIL #3 he wouldn't sleep if he was hungry, not sure what she said I probably stopped listening too mad!! haha.

Jodie: Can't wait to see ACA tonight, how exciting!! Good to see it is working for you, a full nights sleep makes a huge difference. Great that you enjoyed MG, I need to join one I think too many ppl say how good it is. Jayden has the sam top and bodysuit, I love the clothes with wording...Kmart has one "I know I'm cute, so put me down!" I want to get it as its very relivant to DP's family, poor Jayden got passed around a table full of DP's sisters, husbands, nieces and nephews one night, I felt so sorry for him!!

Sheree: Always the way, Jayden has only played up once that we have been, I told Alison I was going to go up there whenever he needed a feed as he was always good there LOL. I really hope it works out for you, expressing is a PITA. Just do what you are comfortable with, 2 and a half months is a great start for Lachie. Are you going back to see her again or just sticking with email? I see her tomorrow, hopefully it goes well. I know what you mean about EBM like gold, mine is too LOL Good to hear Lachie is ok with the prescribed formula. Sounds like Alison has told you the same things as she told me. Jayden is lazy too and she said to express for the let down and then pu him on, but thats easier said than done when he is hungry! Compressions was working for me too but not so much now and football position worked as well. I haven't tried bottle to boob but I think out attching probs are over its keeping him on for more than 2 or 3 mins now. All we can do is try if not formula is there for a reason. Hope everything works out hun!!

Bec: Welcome to BB....(YAY I'm not the new one anymore;)) Mason is just adorable, great job and congratulations.

Jayden is stiring again, I better go. Its taken nearly 2 hrs to write this as was on the laptop but it said critical battery and before I could do anything it turned off!!! Hey Girls! Don't have much time right now (at work) to catch up on all the posting ... will hopefully get on next week some time (phone hasn't been paid and can't use the net ... lol ... bring on my first pay day!!!).

Work is going ok. Slipped right back in as though I haven't even been away, except for the mountainous pile of work I have to catch up on. I've spent a whole week doing one thing, but there's about 10 other things to get done by Wednesday ... what a shocker!

Been no trouble YET with co-workers, but we have a weekly meeting now apparently, which is due on Wednesday (as boss didn't come for visit last week). Should be interesting to say the least.

Jovi is going ok. She's been a bit off in the afternoons. Usually sleeps pretty much straight after I go to work and wakes for her bottle, but cracks up apparently when I go back to work after lunch. Poor Scott ... lol

He's coping ok ... mostly. Had my first phone call on Friday arvo around 2:30 telling me to GET HOME NOW!! click! lol ... She'd apparently been screaming since I left basically and wouldn't calm down. Of course she did as soon as I picked her up. Little bugger.

She was pretty clingy on the weekend and giving me lots of cuddles so hopefully she realises that I actually come and go now and will be a bit more settled for her Daddy.

Weighed her last week ... can't remember if I posted last time ... 5kg exactly last Monday. Will prob give her a weigh on Thursday.

Heading home to the parents this weekend (my dad hasn't seen her since she was 3 weeks old!). Going to see a celebrant on Friday as we are trying to organise a naming ceremony for her Oct. long weekend.

Not much else going on that I can think of right now ... brain is hurting!

Shazz ~ How did your 7am start go? I doubt he is allergic to your milk. Maybe it was something in your diet for those few days OR it just could have been a bit of a phase.

Kim ~ I LOVE the new ticker. Its gorgeous and the photo of Darcy is just adorable! Glad to hear the reunion went well. I had the implanon implant put in a few weeks back I had a few weeks of spotting as it settled in but it seems to be working really well do far. Glad that the worked out the culprit for all those AF’s tho. That must have sucked for you!!

Mummy ~ Bummer for AF returning. Fingers crossed that it doesn’t effect your milk. ROFL @ Samuel having a runny nose and wiping it everywhere! I hope he is feeling better soon. I got the Anne Geddes set from Big W and it was only $17. How did the scrap booking go?

Jodie ~ I am the same as you. I am overloaded with scrap booking gear. Will definitely be watching A Current Affair tonight. Glad to hear it was a positive experience. That top sounds adorable – I saw the same one and was so tempted to buy it for Emerson!

Tania ~ My shopping day was for groceries rofl!! But I enjoy grocery shopping for some strange reason. I bought those Snugglers nappies to try as well and they’re actually quite good. They work out to .32c a nappy vs the huggies which are .41c so not a huge difference but the snugglers work fine! ROFL @ bring it on – I can’t wait to hear how Tuesday nights go. SIL #1 sounds like a great support person. Oh no at the laptop dying!! That would suck. I wish I had my laptop back  as much as I love my PC I loved being able to post anywhere on my laptop!!

Beck ~ ROFL @ bringing on the first pay day!! You must be soooo busy!! What type of naming ceremony are you going to have? I was considering having one for Em but I’m still a little unsure. Well it is a lovely day here so we’ve had outside time and it was great. Em was full of beans and very active and talkative while I laid next to him reading. We’ve also done washing and made chocolate muffins with caramel centres – mmmm yummo!! Hope everyone else is having a lovely start to the week!

Well young Ryan, mate I hope your teeth make their appearance soon so you get some relief, but tomorrow is an exciting first day for you, so you have a great time. Mummy will be worried all day, but you tell her you'll be great - you'll miss her, but you'll be fine.

Tania yep they still do IUDs but I'm so not sure about it. I have had so many dramas with my body this pregnancy I'm just not sure. Good girl for wanting to stand up for yourself. Have faith in you chickie - you are the best mum Jayden's got.

Sheree, yep the Ob said some peole just don't do well with the minipill. I don't do well with a large dose full pill either so no surprises. At least I know I'm not a freak with all the bleeding. Maybe you should ask yours if you should stop taking it. Of course I spoke to her after I took this AMs dose....

Gordon has just taken Em to his parents for a few hours. The house always seem so empty when they first leave. I actually might do some scrapbooking tonight... OMG you say!! You'll believe it when you see it right!?! First things first... dinner!

Damn ACA.... they promote it all weekend... then didn't show it!!! They didn't even mention it! It doesn't appear to be on Tuesdays show... so it must be on later in the week! The producer is on holidays until the 21st... so I'm going to have to phone tomorrow and see if anyone knows. It took me ages to work out how to record on DVD (as my hubby was still at work). Then we didn't need it. Oh well, I leant something new today... so no great loss.

Shaun had his immunisation shots today. He was okay. Cried out when he was given the jabs, but settled down straight after. We've been spoiling him even more than usual. He's a little grumpy, but not too bad at all. We had a lovely dip in the spa bath tonight.

thinking about joining a gym. I generally hate gyms... but I really dislike the "mummy tummy" that is hanging around! The gym has childcare facilities and it's only $5. And membership is $75 a month. I think that I can use the work out as "me time" - even though it's "work"... (in my eyes). The gym also has a pool... and I love swimming. And hopefully my sister (who lives with us) will join too so we can encourage each other.

Better go and do some work. A stupid guy in a hire truck drove into the awning on my salon. Ripped the sign half off... and drove away!! But pedestrians took down his details, and I phoned Budget who know exactly who it is. Hubby took photos of the damage, and now I have to source quotes to get it replaced. At least Budget will pay for the damage.

Vic ~ When I get some down I will try and take pictures and load them onto my site for you or something. Or I could just email them to you? I've done the first trimester of my PG so far but not the rest hehe. I'm really excited to get going again and once I start I know I'll be hard to stop! I'm setting aside tomorrow to do some. Hopefully Em will sleep in the morning and I will get a chance then! I don't like going to the IL's - I went there once and was highly uncomfortable (I don't think I'm really welcome either rofl). I enjoy my time at home anyway - it gives me a chance to clean without Em which I like. And I'm still living by myself - will certainly inform you all when we back the big decision to move in together.

Jodie ~ Damn @ the guy running into your awning - what a pain and how rude!! I had the exact same thoughts about he gym and was going to join with my best friend. I decided not to in the end because it was a contract and I didn't want to be locked in etc etc but I really wish I could do it! Unfortunately I have to have other priorities for a bit! I hate to say it but I'm glad it wasn't on tonight!! It means I didn't miss it... I really have no idea what I was doing at 6.30 but I wasn't watching tele rofl!! Poor Shaun with his jabs! I hope the little man is ok!!

Well I had dinner, then I sorted my finances, did the vacuuming,the mopping and then the ironing while I watched Greys Anatomy. So I didn't get around to scrap booking but I'm all ready to start tomorrow. I have no plans till later in the day so hopefully I will get some done!! Well I just put Em down wide awake so we will see how long that last for...

Oh and funny story (or not so funny) I used to sleep walk when I was younger and last night I put Em down in his cot and went to bed at 12 only to wake up at 6 with Em in my arms and no recollection of how he got there. Freaked me out a little and tonight I'll be closing my door (not that it will stop me LOL). I've been reminded about how the sub conscious works so I think I'm safe but geez it freaked me out to wake up with him in my arms and have absolutely NO memory of it happening...

Oooh Nat, not good. Maybe put something noisy next to the bed so it wakes you up when you hop out....just a suggestion. Domayne is a big furniture franchise like Harvey Norman.

Thank goodness Jodie! I had my first glass of wine in a vERY long time last night and in all the excitement (even tohugh I was watching) thought I had missed your segment - especially when it didn't get another mention. In regards to the awning thing - ring the police! That's a fail to stop prang and he should get a few tickets!!! It's not Budget's responsibiltiy to sort it out. Good to hear the needles went ok.

Beck: Great to hear work is going good so far, least if there is lots to do the, time will go quick. I hope Jovi settles down for Scott, sounds like she missing her mummy!! She will get used to it in no time no doubt.

Nat: Grocery shopping or not its all good, as long as I'm spending money, I'm happy LOL. I thought the price between Snugglers n Huggies would have been more than that. Outside time sounds good.....We are either inside or out shopping, If the weather stays good we might have a go at outside time (hard with my dogs around). How are you going withe scrapbooking today? How scarey about sleep walking!! Least you are both ok, but asleep or not your nt going to let anything happen to Em.

Vic: Glad to hear Mel is feeling better.....Good luck Adam with your needles!! I'm sure you'll be a brave boy though!

Jodie: We were going out last night but I recorded it.....When I watched it when we got home I saw it wasn't on!! I'll keep watching all week in case, but let us know if you find out what night. A friends's baby was meant to have her pic shown on the Today show last Monday and it still hasn't been on yet. Gym sounds like a good idea, I've been thinking about it too lately. Good luck with getting quotes etc.....least they know who did it! What a PITA though!!

Shazz: I hope Ryan settles down for you....teething is such a tough time for them the poor thing, we haven't started yet...thank god!! How did Ryan go at CC? Its good to start them young so its not a problem when they are older and they know how to socialize with other kids their age. I used to work in CC and you could see a huge difference in kids that started early to ones who started later.

Kim: I don't like causing conflict but tonight for sure I will stand my ground if she says even 1 thing!! Thanks.....although I am the only mum Jayden has LOL its a compliment all the same.

CH just called to confirm Jayden's appt today, we have changed the time to 2pm (so more shopping time after!) Hopefully it all goes well, he would have gained weight as he has had the formula, but I'll ask about Maxalon to boost my supply. So hopefully I will still BF but if not, as you have all said...Jayden will be fine either way, 10 weeks of BF'ing is a good start.

Kim ~ No more sleep walking last night! Right I get you with Domayne and whoo hoo on the first glass of wine! I had a Cruiser when I was out to dinner a few weeks ago but nothing since. DP & I are planning a night when my Mum looks after Emerson so we can go out for dinner etc and both drink... nothing stopping us just a matter of when I'm comfortable leaving Emerson. I honestly can't imagine having a night without him...

Tania ~ You sound the same as me re spending money hehe!! I thought the difference between Snugglers and Huggies would be more too. I am just about to start some scrapbooking and I have to look into some uni applications etc as well. I have a friend coming over for dinner and then I'm going out for coffee with another group of friends afterwards. I'm always busy Tuesday nights which is a pity because BellyBelly Trivia night is on. If any of you girls are just pottering around you should give it a go - lots of fun!! Nat apparently the Aldi nappies are pretty cheap and really good too. I'm lucky there is a place that sells the big cartons of huggies really cheap here - don't know how, but DH is happy with the price so who cares.

What do you all mean you don't go outside??? I'd go nuts and Darcy loves the trees. I sit her in the bouncer when I go and hang out the washing (in the shade), take her for a walk... which reminds me. Whats a good nonallergenic baby sunscreen? I am allergic to everythng and Darc appears to be the same, but she needs one as we're outside every day.

Its been freezing here Kim. Raining and COLD!! So we haven't been outside because of that reason. The past few days have been sunny and lovely hence the reason why we ventured out doors. I don't think they have Aldi nappies over here in SA. I'm happy to pay for Huggies as well but I feel obligated to try the rest to see if they're alright for some reason. I guess its the bargain hunter in me ;)! I couldn't help you with the sunscreen because we haven't had to use it yet. I was thinking of getting Em some sunglasses though lol - the glare hurts his eyes so bad!!

Thanks for asking after Us Ryan went for his first day of day care and i think mummy out did him on the crying (:o ) but other then that i think we did alright my boss let me come in an hour later so i got to start at 8 am which was a blessing the only thing is i was so engorged by the time i got back to him just after 12 i thought there was going to be exploded boobies everywhere :cryinglaugh: so we do it all over again tomorrow but from 10.30 so it shouldn't be so bad but i will take my pump with me

so how is every one i haven't been able to catch up on any posts yet so i will go back a read them now while little man is being quiet

and BTW on the nappies i use baby love for both night and day and we love em " i used to use huuggies for night and cheapies for the day but my daughter has been dressing Ryan after his bath and has been putting him in baby love and he goes to sleep before i remember to tell her to put him in a huggies and he gets through the night with out a change thats if he does poop of course i picked up 96 nappies for $18.98 at woolies so about 19cents a nappy they were on special then i notice yesterday they were normally $29.00 for 96 so about 30 cents a nappy
