I am totally at a loss when it comes to TT Archie. It is beyond a joke. I am starting to stress about it now cause he is getting lder and older but still absolutely refuses to poo in toilet, no matter what approach I take, what i try to bribe im with, sticker charts, nothing works. Today I tried again. No wee accidents at all, but he held his poo in til he was so constipated I had to put a nappy on to calm him downa nd give him a laxative. I am worried that he is untrainable!!!
Sorry you guys. I did a BA but the little guy is not so hot today and ouldn't let me do anything else....
He's soooo cute too.
eta Elissa, I will think about it.....he's not untrainable....he just thinks different to you. He's got a lot going on atm.
kim - you are so right, this kid must have no clue what the heck is going on in life atm! I guess I am stressing cause my Dad, who I live with, thinks it is utterly ridiculous that a 3 year old child is still in nappies. Dad did get to witness Archie in pain and bawling all arvo due to constipation cause he wouldnt poo in toilet, hope fully that shuts Dad up for a while.
On the Super Nanny site it suggests leaving the nappy on but still sitting him on the toilet for poo..might just leave it a while....and TRY not to stress about it, he is very smart, surely he will get out of nappies before kindy.....please!
Elissa I am just relaxing with Riley and not even trying too much atm, he isn't even properly TT for wee, just remember that even the slowest child I have ever taught in kindy has been TT so it will happen!! I think its better to leave it until they are ready.
thanks heaps Christine, you have put my mind at ease yet again x
Motherhood is a constant stress babe!!! Glad I could alieviate it for a bit .
X!!!!
Hi guys.... we did it! We have our little man who is just perfect and so cute too (biased mummy over here) .... I just look at him and it brings instant tears of joy.
These past few months have been crap with dad passing away, grandma passing away, the bloody whooping cough, the diabetes etc etc... but now things are looking up.
Thank you so much for being there to listen to my whinging and concerns. You guys mean so much to me, even though we have not officially 'met' I feel closer to you guys than some of my friends who I see all the time.
The c-section was not as bad as I thought it would be. Getting out of bed for that first time and that first shower was hell. but I can't believe that just a week ago I was sitting at the hospital the night before Joshua was to be born wondering how 'big' this baby was going to be - and now I am home with a gorgeous baby to complete my family and feeling no pain and almost 'normal' - unbelievable.
Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say hello, and will be back later for personals.

Welcome back Leanne!
Congratulations again on the arrival of Joshua. He is a very beutiful boy!
Enjoy your babymoon hun!
x
Welcoem back Leanne, huge congrats on your beautiful bub.
Welcome back hun! So glad you aren't too uncomfortable. I bet Katy is loving him.
Question - if one of your immediate family were unable to have children and had tried IVF etc - , knowing how much joy a child can bring, would you ever consider being a surrogate?
Well we are really enjoying our little man - the past two nights he has slept from 11 pm - 4 am and then last night 10 pm to 2:30 pm. Man I really hope this continues. I actually feel like I have had enough sleep and am almost human.
He only really cries when he has done a pooh (goes hysterical like a big girl actually!!!) and when you put him in the bath. He sleeps through Katy's noise (thank goodness - as there is a LOT of that!!!), and right now is 'bludging' (asleep) on the lounge with daddy.
Seems too good to be true really
:O)
In a heartbeat!!!! I'd even do it for a close cousin or girlfriend. But thats me!
Glad to hear that all is going well Leanne!!!
I am off to see my baby girls tomorrow for a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
I can't wait to see them! I bet they have grown so much.
When I get back I start prac. A bit up in arms about this but we'll see how it goes.
Hope all is well with everyone!
I am sorting through Kaitlyn''s clothes - from newborn to now and I must say I am getting a little emotional. Is that weird?
I have a cousin who had a DD this year three days before Katy's birthday so all 00 to 1 are going to a good home, but as I am going through them I am like nah I need to keep this and ooh I really loved that. We are not having any more children but I am finding it hard to part with the stuff.
Every piece of clothing has a story - isn't that funny.
Anyway, I have a few size 2 clothes which are mainly summer clothes - anyone interested - Sara???. I can make a list and send photos to anyone who is interested. I would much rather pass on to someone who could really use them, rather than just chuck in the Vinnie's bin IYKWIM.
:O)
I don't know if I could be a surrogate cause I don't think I could give the baby up once it was born. I am not sure I could emotionally detatch enough IYKWIM?
Leanne I hate going through Riley's stuff and knowing that he is my last baby too, I wonder if you ever feel ready to be finished? Joshua sounds like a dream baby!
Sara- enjoy your visit with your girls, you must miss them so much. Good luck at prac too, we have just finished filling out Jess' applications for nursing for next year.
Okay so our little man is 10 days old and now the next topic of discussion is to circumsise or not.
DH is, cause that's just what they did back then and he can't decide what he thinks is best, My brothers aren't so my mother is against.
I am so confused. I know there are time limits for this when they are so young, and how do you find a good doctor who will do the procedure if you want to go 'down that road'?
Any thought's / comments??
So many things to think about...
Sigh
