Hi everyone. I survived prac!!!! It was only 20 hours, but fun. I am now busy working on my assignments. They need to be by the 13th so I am ‘house-wife and ‘mothering’ during the day and ‘studenting at night. It’s tough, as the kids need my attention during the day (understandably) Can’t wait to finish and pop that express post envelope with my assignments in the big yellow box on Tuesday or Wednesday night!
The FDC lady came yesterday and we have been approved to be carers. Have a zillion forms to fill in and lots of things to get organised so we can start in Feb / March, but will look at that after the assignments leave this house. I booked my first aid course yesterday for the end of the month – its all happening! I will soon be my own boss and own my own business.....
Kim – I can just see Darcy with the snorkel and flippers on.... Take any pics?
Shazz – hope the school issue was sorted out. Something not quite right there. grr
Eiissa – I am still having those feeling but after a big discussion about it with DH the other night it’s just two for us (unless there is an unexpected surprise). I am happy with the decision but also sad IYKWIM. I know that as Joshie grows, that’s it. No more babies. But in saying that, I will be able to look after babies for FDC down the track so it’s not all bad :O)
How’s Archie and you guys feeling after the gastro.... Gastro is yuk eh? Yay on him sleeping in his own bed now...
Christine – congrats on getting through the HSC.... Now you can look forward to Jess’ party and relax over a few wines??
Well better get some lunch for little miss. She’s asking for eggs in her egg tup. Love it!
    See ya!

so glad to hear that you enjoyed prac You must be so proud of yourself for working so hard to get your own business up and running, I am proud of you hunx

It is sad sometimes to see your baby grow up, but on the other hand it is also exciting to be moving on to another stage of parenting when you dont have a baby or toddler anymore, it will be great for you to have the little ones still to look aftert though.

Jay and I haven't had the gastro yet, fingers crossed. Ended up in hospital with Arch last night, turned out to be dehydration, he had terrible abdo pain for days, he is getting over it now though thank goodness

    Hello Girls!!!!

Kept getting these notification so thought it was time I pop in and say Hi to you all!!

Shazz - You sound like you've been having lots of fun lately! As the saying goes...When it rains, it pours! How's the studying going? I know EXACTLY what you mean about being over it. I have reached my tether and have reached the point of not even handing in my last assessment. Naughty I know but with prac, uni and work. I am f'd to say the least!

Leanne -Totally not crazy!! I wanted to "do it all over again" hours after giving birth to Briley!!! I have to admit the same thoughts didnt go through my head after Colby. How is the little guy going?? I see your preparing K for school already!!! I am not allowing myself to even think of those days just yet! hehe. I want my babies to stay babies for a bit longer!! At least until I fall pregnant again!

Kim - Where has the last 8 months gone????? I cannot believe your beautiful boy is 8 months old!!!! How quickly time goes when you get older. Whats been happening in your world honey? I feel like I haven't spoken with you in a long time.

Elissa - Great to hear that things are going well for you sweetheart. Makes life so much easier. Brent and I are also working on things. Just taking things slowly but the distance makes things a lot easier on us. I miss the girls terribly but he is doing a wonderful job.

Well I am very proud (and exhausted) to say, I have almost survived a year of Uni. My last day of prac was yesterday and it felt awesome to not feel an enormous amount of pressure. I have 3 exams and I am DONE!

I have applied to 2 other Uni's who offer the same course externally. I hope to get into Griffith as the structure of the BMID is great. They're are also happy for my to do my prac at the Townsville Hospital and will hopefully give me credits for everything I have done this year. Fingers crossed!

My beautiful baby girls are awesome, strong little women who have survived the last 3 months without their Mummy. When I have been back to see them I am absolutely blown away by the little girls they are turning into. Colby isnt a baby anymore and it pains me to see this but I look forward to seeing both of them grow. Briley however is my reasoning for wanting to move back home. I feel she that needs me there. She's not as independent and confident as Colby. I can't explain it, maybe mothers instinct but something inside is telling me I need to keep my eye on her.

I think this past year has been a MASSIVE journey and learning experience for me. I feel like i have grown so much as a woman, mother and person. Moving to Brisbane was the best decision I have ever made in my life. I am quite sad to leave but as the saying goes "I'll be back!"

Sorry for the life story. Its really the first time I have looked back on the year and realised what a year it was!

I am off to get ready to go to a birth. My last client is in early labour and I am so looking forward to being "with woman" after being on the postnatal ward for the last 6 weeks!!!

I hope all you lovely women are doing well with your little families.

    Love love!
