so glad to hear that you enjoyed prac You must be so proud of yourself for working so hard to get your own business up and running, I am proud of you hunx
It is sad sometimes to see your baby grow up, but on the other hand it is also exciting to be moving on to another stage of parenting when you dont have a baby or toddler anymore, it will be great for you to have the little ones still to look aftert though.
Jay and I haven't had the gastro yet, fingers crossed. Ended up in hospital with Arch last night, turned out to be dehydration, he had terrible abdo pain for days, he is getting over it now though thank goodness
Kept getting these notification so thought it was time I pop in and say Hi to you all!!
Shazz - You sound like you've been having lots of fun lately! As the saying goes...When it rains, it pours! How's the studying going? I know EXACTLY what you mean about being over it. I have reached my tether and have reached the point of not even handing in my last assessment. Naughty I know but with prac, uni and work. I am f'd to say the least!
Leanne -Totally not crazy!! I wanted to "do it all over again" hours after giving birth to Briley!!! I have to admit the same thoughts didnt go through my head after Colby. How is the little guy going?? I see your preparing K for school already!!! I am not allowing myself to even think of those days just yet! hehe. I want my babies to stay babies for a bit longer!! At least until I fall pregnant again!
Kim - Where has the last 8 months gone????? I cannot believe your beautiful boy is 8 months old!!!! How quickly time goes when you get older. Whats been happening in your world honey? I feel like I haven't spoken with you in a long time.
Elissa - Great to hear that things are going well for you sweetheart. Makes life so much easier. Brent and I are also working on things. Just taking things slowly but the distance makes things a lot easier on us. I miss the girls terribly but he is doing a wonderful job.
Well I am very proud (and exhausted) to say, I have almost survived a year of Uni. My last day of prac was yesterday and it felt awesome to not feel an enormous amount of pressure. I have 3 exams and I am DONE!
I have applied to 2 other Uni's who offer the same course externally. I hope to get into Griffith as the structure of the BMID is great. They're are also happy for my to do my prac at the Townsville Hospital and will hopefully give me credits for everything I have done this year. Fingers crossed!
My beautiful baby girls are awesome, strong little women who have survived the last 3 months without their Mummy. When I have been back to see them I am absolutely blown away by the little girls they are turning into. Colby isnt a baby anymore and it pains me to see this but I look forward to seeing both of them grow. Briley however is my reasoning for wanting to move back home. I feel she that needs me there. She's not as independent and confident as Colby. I can't explain it, maybe mothers instinct but something inside is telling me I need to keep my eye on her.
I think this past year has been a MASSIVE journey and learning experience for me. I feel like i have grown so much as a woman, mother and person. Moving to Brisbane was the best decision I have ever made in my life. I am quite sad to leave but as the saying goes "I'll be back!"
Sorry for the life story. Its really the first time I have looked back on the year and realised what a year it was!
I am off to get ready to go to a birth. My last client is in early labour and I am so looking forward to being "with woman" after being on the postnatal ward for the last 6 weeks!!!
I hope all you lovely women are doing well with your little families.
Love love!

Sara- so awesome you and Brent are trying to make a go of it. I think mums always know their kids best and that you are right about Briley, Erin is my one like that, she's very much a mummy's girl even though she is nearly 10!
Jessica's party is tomorrow night- I am having anxiety dreams about it LOL I have been cooking heaps and preparing, my MIL and my bro's MIL are awesome- they are doing heaps too and so is bro's wife (the lovely Snacks)
Everyone has to wear pink and black so should look good, Riley has a pale pink surf shirt and black shorts, Erin is wearing black leggings and a hot pink top- she and 2 of her friends are being waitresses for me, they are very excited.
I am just nervous about the drunken teens but my bouncers are great so should be OK. Cross your fingers for me girls!!!
sara - so great to hear from you again! Enjoy this birth, the PN ward would have been interesting. Sounds like Colby is doing wonderfully, I just cant picture her not as a baby! Im sure Briley will be super excited to see her mumy again, enjoy your holidays with the girls. Glad youa dn Brent are getting along well now, not living together 24/7 must really help the relationship LOL
christine - wow, cant imagine what it must feel like to be chucking an 18th birthday bash for your baby! Hope everyone has a wonderful night, the pink and black theme sounds cool, Riley will look gorgeous, I love little boys in pink tops, Arch has a hot pink polo that looks so cute on him.
I know I am a SAHM now but I need to vent.......
So I am busy studying, and have just two days now to finish another 4 assignments.
I am stressed to the eyeballs to the extent that I can't sleep which means my concentration levels are non-existent.
DH is off work this weekend.
He's looking after the kids. Right now Josh and DH are asleep on the lounge and Katy is watching telly.
My house is falling apart around me.
Guess I will get the house back in order when my studies are finished?????
I can't say anything cause then I am nagging.
Anyone feeling my frustration?
Well I am not happy.... Pretty down in fact... I feel so fat. I have been on Wii fit 30 - 40 minutes daily (it's hard work) and 1300 cals / day and 0.1kg weight loss in a week. C'mon what a joke. Saw some recent photos of me and I almost died... Gross. I still look 4 months pregnant.
why hello lovely ladies
i'm back and relaxing finish uni for the year and i'm taking the summer semester off so 3 whole months with my family being a family i'm quite excited so i'll be in for frequent catch up's
shazz - great to have you back! enjoy your holidays
leanne - Im sory you are going through this tough time xx
Archie is on nappies full time AGAIN!!! I am going to leave him in nappies for a couple of months then chat to the GP about his poos, I reckon he'll need to have a daily laxative next time he TTs otherwise he is just never gonna be able to learn to relax and poo!
I’m getting worried........ I am tired and run down and have no motivation. The littliest things Katy does wrong has ‘fired me up’ today – and I am worried it could be depression coming back??? If it is I won’t be able to do family day care (obviously). I feel fat and tired and over it..... Will a good sleep fix it?
Elissa- Riley is finally toilet trained (was really qucik onec I bothered LOL) He was waiting until he had a sleep so got a nappy on, to pooh but now has been going on the loo.
Leanne- hugs, maybe its just the time of year too and all the heat. I have been very teary and depressed lately and I am on anti depressants LOL
oh sweetheart
You have a tiny baby and a three year old! Her 'twin' is the same - she's driving me nuts!!!
You know the signs, and you know what to do. again.
You can still do the FDC if that's what you want. You just need a strategy for tackling the whole thing.
Oh no Elissa! Poor little guy.
Glad the party went well C. The photos look cool. Glad she had a great time too.
shazz. How did this semester go?
Hey guess what - I quit. As of 17th December I am a civillian again YAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!! Oh and my sister had her third bubba today!!
Got back up to my baby girls last week. Just got back from 4 days camping today. NEVER AGAIN!!! Colby is the devil is disguise!!! ARGHHHH!!!
Leanne - Loads of hugs for you honey. I say if you feel like your depression is coming back...get onto it now. I hope its not and its just you feeling tired. Toddlers and little babies are hard work. Chin up sweetheart.
Kim - Congrats to your Sister! And congrats to you!!! Ummm....Whats a civillian?! LOL!
Well dinner is ready. I hope to come in and say a proper hello to you all soon.
hi all
well that relaxing lasted all of 2 seconds my last exam has made my life hell ...... i crammed for 17 and a half hours at the computer typing study notes and studying madly and have ended up with a deep vien thrombosis of the upper and forearm i have never experienced pain like it i have thought about ripping my own arm off several times i'm having daily clexane injections and i;m on the highest dose of warfarin for the next 9 months i can't believe it they are putting it down to me being a smoker and being on the pill and the being stationary for several hours so that pretty much our entire life right now doctors hospitals injections scans bloods and pain ... so no relaxing and again my family suffers because of me
I knew studying was bad for you Shazz!! (glad you have your name back too) You poor thing, better quit the fags love LOL (Nothing more annoying than an ex smoker is there??)
Kim- yay and welcome back to civvy street!
Sara- so glad you are back with your family I bet the girls are so excited to have mummy home.
