Babies Born May 2007 #11

Well that's it!! DH and I aren't doing DTD anymore until we find another birth control. Three condoms have burst on us in the last two weeks. I am so jinxed with DTD. Everyone seems to find it funny saying that maybe someone is trying to tell me something but I don't think it's funny. I am not ready for another bubba! I need a few more months yet. My g/f is being induced today and memories of Livvy's birth are flooding back, LOL!!
On a better note Livvy crawled yesterday morning. Did it once and hasn't crawled again. Poor DH tried everything last night to get to crawl for him but she would only commando crawl. Cheeky monkey!

Shell - I start back at work on Tuesday but Livvy starts childcare 4th Feb. I have to call and book our orientation visits but I'm in denial and putting it off. I know that I have to do it but I just can't bring myself to make that call. How silly is that! I can't dial the number. DH came into the kitchen this morning where Livvy and I were playing and he said he can't imagine how much Livvy is going to miss me and so the water works flowed. YAY on your big boy commando crawling!!!!! How did the sleep over go? The girls sleep much or were you up most of the night with them giggling?

Ash - I'm so sorry that it didn't work out being back at home but you sound like you would be better off living just you and blake. You nee dto make the best decision for you that makes you ahppy and that will flow across to your gorgeous little man. Don't forget we are here if you need to vent. I had the weirdest dream about you last night. I flew up to see you but didn't know where you lived so I just picked a street and started knocking until I found someone who knew you and took me to your house. When I got there I said I"m nurse dan and I just wanted to pop in and say and then I left again. I'm weird.

Kirsten - That is the most fantastic news that you are getting heaps of bookings. Fingers crossed all the bookings keep coming for you. You're going to be a busy busy mumma! YAY!!!!

Sarah - OMG!!! I'm so jealous, Canada. You will absolutely love it being able to catch up with all the family. Sorry about your grandpa though. Is it the first time that they will all be meeting Noah? How's your little business going?

Blake woke up 6 times last night. It's really ridiculous! God only knows how I'll go when I'm working and getting up 1000 times a night! I love him to pieces but sometimes I just want to let him cry, just leave him there to fall asleep. If his room wasn't next to mums I probably would...when I have my own place I think I'll be implementing a more stern approach.

I've recently just stopped getting him out of his cot. I try and resettle with music and patting, if this makes him louder I feed him in the cot. No success yet but I think he is getting toothy #5, his poopy bum tells me so!!!

Off for an interview today at a major bank for a loans admin job, fingers crossed I get it, the money is good for my age and experience, means I can get my own place and have money left over for fun with bubby!!

I live in Ballarat with my partner of 3 1/2 yrs that I love very much and not sure y his so good 2 me sometimes, lately my mood swings have been unbelieveable! I work just on Saturdays at a jewllers and even that small amount of time makes me miss Annabelle.
Shes my one and only bubs and shes my world! I never knew I could love someone so much. Being a mum is truley what i think i was put here 4. Im only young but theres know where else i would want 2 b. So theres a little about myself.

I have an 8.5 month old son (due in May but surprised us 4 weeks early) named Blake who is a right terror, into everything!!! Hope you find the company here as warm and inviting as all of us do. Blake was sleeping through from 6-13 weeks then we moved house and it all went out the window. I guess all the bubs are different and go through phases, all of the babies in this group have had good and bad patches.

i just finished a breif read of everyones msg's i wish i had found this site earlier as i have felt very alone 4 some time now. I hope this helps me, and i hope its normal 2 feel down sometimes, i dont like 2 tell anyone when i feel down as i think they may think of me as a bad mother :-(

Oh Kass you are most definitely not alone!!!!!! You are not a bad mother if you feel down sometimes!!!!!!!! You should read back over some of our posts. I don't think a single women of us haven't felt down at one time or another. I know that I've had a day when I was waiting at our front door for my DH (dear or sometimes d!ckhead I use husband) with Olivia in my out stretched arms and instead of saying hello I said take your daughter, take your daughter, take your daughter. You have two seconds and I'm letting go!! Poor bugger had only taken one step in the door and was greeted with that. Some days we cry just because we are so exhausted and can't do it for another minute or left them crying in their cot while we go cry in our room and sometimes we crave adult conversation and attention. It is so completely norma and nothing makes you a bad mother for these feelingsl!!!! Can't wait to get to know you. Do you have msn? Some of us chat on there too.

Oh its good 2 here im not alone. Its just horrible when u look in there little eyes after u walk in from breaking down in the kitchen. They look at u like "oh mummy i love u so much, i cant help being this little and not being able 2 talk"
Then i feel like crap!
Clint my DH (i agree with the sometimes ****head) doesn't get.
I remember i told him that i was feeling down and he straight away thought something was wronge and that im not meant 2 feel that way.
I know in my heart its normal but when ur the only going through it, its easy 2 feel like im doing the wronge thing.
I have a couple of friends with babies but there doing there own thing and im someone that likes 2 check in with my buddies at least every third day.
The friends i use 2 do that with faded away when i fell pregnant. But amazingly my pregnancy wasn't lonely at all, i loved it. Dont get me wronge i love this even more, but having friends would be the icing on the cake.
Sorry about the winge. Its amazing how easy it is 2 tell ppl i dont even know how i feel when i wouldn't dream of telling anyone i know or love what i just told u guys.

I have finished work for the week!! YAY :dance:, had enough of it already.
Nah it's not as bad as I thought it would be, its hard, but he seems to enjoy going, the staff are saying that he is handling it well, they all think he's gorgeous and will break a few hearts there!!!

Ethyn slept thru from about 6-8 weeks, and still does, his sleep is something I definitely won't be complaining about, we are one of the lucky ones.
Sorry I'm not going to do personals, have read what everyone is doing and what's happening, and I am thinking of you all, but its hot!!!
We are suppose to be going to a party tomorrow night, is it wrong of me to fake being sick even to hubby? I really don't want to go. But hubby will make me go if I tell him that!!!!
Got Ethyn weighed today, about 6 weeks ago he was 8.25kg (at 6 mths) now at 7 months he weighed 9.33kgs. He has been on solids for that month. Can't believe he has put on over 1kg!!!!
Ok must go, got to spend some quality time with my boy!! :grouphug:

u r a lucky one Annabelle is now in the 2 sleeps a day thing but the hot weather has really knocked her around.
No its know bad if u tell just a little white lie 2 ur hubby, its not something that can really hurt him or affect ur relationship......
Is ur boy breast or formula fed? Bella has been on solids 4 a month also and she loves them she still loves booby though.

Yep Ethyn is our first child, he's on formula, I was not able to breastfeed, which really upset me in the beginning.

yeah its not as common as i thought. But as soon as Bella was born i put her on and she took 2 it straight away but if she didn't i would have put her formula. I wouldn't have mined then but months ago i wasn't drinking enough water so i wasn't producing enough milk and the threat was there 2 put her on formula but i started 2 drink more water and, well im still breast feeding ill stop when she's 12 months and drinking cows milk.

I love being a mum, its the best thing!!!! I was a bit apprehensive in the beginning, as I'm sure most of us are. Prior to being pg and taking maternity leave I was and am currently back doing, working as an Admin Manager. One of the hardest things has been going back to work, which I did on Wednesday. I miss him so much during the day.

Being a mum.........., well theres nothing like it in the world she truely is a blessing!
Of course at the start i was like um....... i didn't sign up 4 this, i just didn't know what 2 expect. Now i think this is y i was put here. I only work on sats and i miss her so much in just that small amount of time i take my hat off 2 u. Im also booby feeding so i couldn't go back full time anywho. I think im useing that as an excuse....hehe. What does ur partner think of being a daddy?

Sarah - Im so sorry to hear about your gramps :hug:. Im glad you are going over to see your family soon though, May!!! bubbies will be one - OMG!!! Your comforted no pick up nights sound like what we do and is what the sleep schools recommend! Keep it up hun - it can take a while but he will get the message that its time to sleep and the time you have to hld his hand etc will get shorter.

:hello: everyone else!! So sorry I cant do more personals right now - its too hot and we just got back from being away and I have a pile of emails to get though too!!

We had a great time!!! Izzy sat in her own little rockpool for ages while we were at the beach the other day - it was her first time and she LOVED it! Our sleeping pattern has shifted and become a bit erratic again - hard to let her cry a bit at 6am when there are 9 other people in the house!! When you guys say commando crawling - do you mean dragging? Izzy has been dragging/pulling herself all around the house for a few weeks now, and while we were away has almost started crawling properly up on her knees - although most of the time she does it up on her hands and feet like a crab :D Its hilarious! She also has been getting up on her hands and feet then pushing her butt up in the air (salute to the sun yoga pose actually ;) ) and then pushes back to sitting! She has almost worked out how to pull herself up on furniture too now! Arrggghhh moving missile terror!!

Better go its so hot here again today and we have friends over for a swim!

Tan, you just wait till she is pulling up. At first they don't have the balance to get back down and crack it...plus there is the added bonus of getting everything off tables etc so the watching every move thing is amped up even moreso. Blake is WALKING around the furniture now, I hate that word and really hope to god he doesn't walk before 12 months. Liklihood-buckleys lol

Well everyone, dh and i had another massive fight today and I really thought everything was over. But as always, we sugar coat everything and keep plodding along. I dont know how much longer I can keep pretending everything is ok though.

Oh,Danni, I hope things get better with you and your DH. such a trying time for anyone with a baby. I know our biggest fights are always money related. Hence me going back to work to try and ease the pressure.

Tan, DH and all the kids are in the pool as I type!! I am about to cook dinner so can't be bothered getting in!! Angus loves the pool and gets so excited when I put his swimmers on!!!

Anyway, I went out last night and left DH with the kids haha!! I think he was shocked cause I wasn't going to go, then they all started to whinge so I got dressed and said see-ya!!! I had a good night, we just went for dinner to farewell a work colleague, so was a bunch of rowdy Dr's and nurses!! Then we hit the pokies for awhile!! I drove so only had a glass of wine, but just being able to go out with no kids was unreal!!!! My first shirt back at work is the 19th Jan so I have a few weeks to prepare myself. I'm sure it will al go fine.

Anyways, I better get dinner on cooking! Take care yummy mummies, talk again soon!!!

Shell- I just got out! Heehee! I tend to avoid the hottest part of the day and go for a swim in the arvo and stay in front of the ac all day!! We dont have heating in ours though and its a bit cold for Iz so we put her in her shell and she loves it!!

Not sure who asked but I go back to school for 2.5 days. Half a day Wed, then full days on Thursday and Friday. Im looking forward to it on one hand but dreading it too - the best bit about being a teacher is that Im already being paid now! Whoohooo! That has eased the pressure off so much which is great. Right better get Izzys dinner ready! Have a great night all!

Sarah - yay for a trip home but sorry about your grandfather. It will be lovely for Noah to get to meet all your friends and family there before he gets too much bigger.

Lee - I'm glad your first week back has gone relatively smoothly. I bet you're just going to love this weekend home with your gorgeous boy.

Still not more teeth for Izzy but she's a lot happier so that's good. This pregnancy thing is really getting to me at the moment. I'm the size of a small country, even though I weigh less than I did at this point with Iz, and am already so uncomfortable and just so tired. Ned is kicking heaps now, mainly at night so I can't sleep - typical, but I wouldn't trade those reassuring kicks for anything. Fortunately Iz has been a little champion lately - eating like a horse, loooooong sleeps through the night and two good sleeps during the day. She is getting herself into a sitting position on her own, pulling herself up on furniture, dragging herself around the floor and just so happy about life. I wish I could freeze this time and keep her like this - she's just so gorgeous!

Hi luluhb congrats on pg how exciting 4 u im scared 2 fall pg again but loved it when i was if i wasn't as young as i am and had something backing me up as in schooling id TTC soon but id like 2 educate myself a bit as that has gone out the window 4 a little bit. :-) Do u know what ur having?

Its more than a little scary being pregnant again so soon, and with MS hitting me again over the last couple of weeks it is a struggle looking after Iz. I'm having another girl, so I'm hoping my girls will have a close relationship given they're so close in age. I'm 38 this year, so if DH and I decide to have a 3rd then I need all the time I can get (although I can tell you based on how I feel right now, a 3rd aint happening!!). Still, who knows how I'll feel when "Ned" is a year or so old - I might have an urge to try for a boy and have forgotten how crappy this pregnancy thing is. You've got tons of time up your sleeve and I think getting more of an education is a very smart thing to do. Besides, you have a lovely little princess to enjoy before having to think about sharing your time with a second baby.
