I guess ur not selling that pram now!!! :p
I just relised u wont b due in feb 2009 coz thats a much 2 long pg????
My sig is BFP in Feb 08 hun - Im not sure when Im due -hence the ??? I will find out today though so will be able to update it!
I still want to sell the pram because Im going to need a twin/tandem or toddler one- will find out how far along i am before even thinking about it all though.
Danni - I HOPE Im 12 weeks - then all that horrid stressful time will be behind me - Al thinks Im 4 weeks and I think Im about 8 so will see how we go!
Only 2 hours to go!!!
O  i understand now!!! hahaha
Good luck with everything Tan im going 2 put my bid in and say 9 wks!
I 4 got how close iz and bubs will b in age so u will have 2 get a twin pram, how exciting!!!
Good luck today Tan! Can't wait to hear when your little munchkin is due, what an exciting day for you guys! Have you told your family yet? I'm gonna guess that you are 6 weeks :D
Danni and Kass I hope ur angels decide to settle down and sleep for you soon, I really feel for you guys :(
Ok BBL to find out Tan's news, can't wait lol
Thanks Lis and everyone - OMG Im sooooooo nervous -I feel more sick than I normally do just thinking about it. My sister is coming with me to hold my hand.... so natural to stress and think about my angel but Im trying to be positive too. Back later with news!
Oh Tan, I'm so excited for you, will be hanging out to hear all about it!! OK my guess is 5 wks! Although for your sake I hope you are more!! Anyway, will have my fingers crossed for you that all goes well!!!
We should start a betting book on this!! Tan, I think you're 6weeks 2 days. As for the tandem/double/toddler pram, I'll get back to you with my views on that all too soon!
I've just changed the pram I'm getting. The whole decision has been driving me nuts. I originally put a double mountain buggy on layby. I have the single MB and it is just sooooooo good so I wanted the double. Then started stressing about practicalities of a really wide pram for shopping etc so thought I would have to get a tandem too. So, on Monday after seeing a woman at the shops have to leave her double pram at the back of her car to get her babies out (I'd be so terrified someone would reverse into them, snatch them or whatever) I decided I really do need the tandem too so cancelled the MB and have now ordered a valco double and a babylove tandem - got both for about $500 less than the MB would cost!! So, DH is a very happy chappy and I'm a bit happier that I now have two prams to suit all my needs - hopefully!!
We're moving Iz into her "big girl's room" this weekend. So excited about that. Its a huge bedroom and has a semi-ensuite so she'll be a very happy teenager in years to come (God help me when the arguments start with her little sister over the bathroom!) We'll put Ned in the other big bedroom so she'll have a bedroom that's just as big, just no direct bathroom access. I'm actually starting to get excited now about Ned, which I'm really pleased about. Its been a long time coming. I've been sorting through all of Izzy's clothes to get the 0000s and 000s out for washing and have bought a few new things which has all been lots of fun. Iz hasn't been as much fun - she is so incredibly clingy at the moment and I seem to have her attached to me in some way all day long. DH and I went to Miss Saigon last night and left her with DH's parents. I wasn't very happy about it but when we called at intermission she had been asleep for an hour. By the time we got home though she had been screaming for a couple of hours. I felt so guilty, I just knew I shouldn't have gone. What do you do when your baby won't be happy with anyone but you though? My poor DH never gets me to himself anymore, and can't even have cuddles of his daughter to make up for it because she only wants me. Is anyone else having this problem? I'm really starting to stress about what will happen when Ned is born and I just can't comfort Iz everytime. It breaks my heart when she's got big fat tears running down her cheeks and she's holding her little arms out to me.
Good luck today Tan!! Be interesting to see how far along you are :) I'm no spring chicken either :( I'm going to be 33 in June
My SIL is pregnant again, she had her DS late June 07. She has had fertility issues since having an eptopic pregnancy about 12 years ago and has had to go thru a program just below going through IVF, (if that makes sense) after she had her son the doc said do you want contraception, she's said no because there was no need because of her issues, and now she is pregnant with no drugs at all!!! She found out at the end of January, and she was actually about 22 weeks pregnant when she found out!!
Okay ladies!!! 7 weeks 4 days !!! :D Yay:dance:at least Im not 4 like DH thought! I am actually due on the 4th October - which is the day my gorgeous niece Grace was born, she will be 13 this year and will think this is FAB!
I had a heart attack second during the scan initially - when expert u/s expert that I am - couldnt see a thing on the screen and my heart just plunged and the Dr was all quiet but then he went through everything and we hear that beautiful 140 BPM sound!
So there you go! It feels a bit more real now, and I'm starting to get a bit excited too!
Have people over for dinner so Id better go get ready! Chat soon!
Lulu-thats great about the prams - I know you dont like the P & T but I think we will go down that road possibly!
Lee- 22 weeks - wow! I wish!
OMG Tan that is awesome news!!! Have been waiting, and am so glad it is all good!!! October will be a beautiful time to have a baby! Well Done!!!
Hey guys!
Sorry I've been MIA a loooong time but have been over the top busy, but I always check in here to see what you ladies and bubs are up to!!
YAYAYAYAY Tan!! That's fab news! Are you gonna find out what this lil suprise is??
I have to tell you that I have the P & T pram and seeing my 2 are 18 months apart it has been an absolute godsend!!! I just love it to bits and I use it everyday.. Both boys can sleep if they need to and it is so light too.. Any q's just ask ok..
Well my littlest man Toby is crawling around the house at lightning speed, pulling up and walking around everything and letting go!! So not to long b4 he's walking I bet! At least he still sleeps thru the night! I guess I am so lucky cause both my boys have slept thru from about 4 months onwards, and if they do wake up, I just pop their dummy back in and they go back to sleep...I'm sending major sleep vibes out to all you non sleeping bubbas ok!! His big bro Jack has his nose out of joint cause now Toby can reach all his stuff now!!!! It's so funny!
Well gotta go hope every1 is great and I will try to pop in more often ok. Gotta go work out what I'm going to put in my risotto..
Yay Tan that is fabulous! Lol my guess wasn't too far off. You will be into the second trimester before you know it! How are you feeling, any m/s? You will have some exciting times ahead with choosing a pram, names, more scans etc. Oohh have you met your belly buddies? Ok can you tell I'm just a bit excited for you, sorry I bombarded you with questions :cryinglaugh:
Lee wow at your SIL not knowing until she was 22 weeks! I bet she was shocked. No chance of that happening to me, I was huge at 22 weeks!
Alex nice to hear from you! Glad that your gorgeous boys are doing well. Hhhmm risotto sounds yummy.
Lulu I hear you on the clingy thing, we are going through something similar at the moment. She is fine at home but when we are out she won't go to anyone else and cries if somebody else wants to cuddle her. I hope its just a phase as this is so unlike her, normally she is such a social butterfly!
I went to Big W today and picked up some funky flannette PJ's for El for only $7 each! Luv a bargain! Gotta go, suppose I should start dinner.
Yay Tan!!! How exciting
Ill let everyone one know if i get a :bfn: on Monday :crossfingers: 2 b honest, ill b happy either way. I just dont think it's the best time in my life 2 b 20yrs with a bubs and pg! :p
Hey Alex not sure that we have met?
Oh.....My.... God.....
TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!!!!!! :dance::dance::dance:
Congratulations hon - that is AMAZING news!!!
Danni - Congrats on the new house too!
God I feel like I haven't been here in forever - then again, I haven't really been anywhere in forever apart from work!! :cryinglaugh:
I'm so crazy busy I can barely think straight... my next free/available weekend photography session isn't until... get this... MAY!
WTF??!?!?!
We're in friggin' February! I can hardly believe it - I am having an absolute BALL and I know for the next 12 months at least I don't have to think about returning to full time lawyer work (BLERGHHHHH!) so hopefully that situation remains and I can be a full time photographer forever!!! I just came back from Ballarat this afternoon doing a newborn shoot (photos are on my blog) - long drive but SO lucky to spend the afternoon with him!!
I promise I am reading up on everything - I just don't get a chance to sit down and respond as much as I would love to!!!!
Big hugs to everyone - I love hearing your news! :)
El is sick for the first time, I took her to the doctor and she has an ear infection :( I feel a bit guilty as I thought she was upset yesterday because she is cutting another tooth but the poor poppet had a sore ear as well. I hate seeing her unwell, I have been crying too lol!

Go Brodie!! That is great, so is he into everything now!!
Ang, how is El today?? Hope she is feeling better.
Well just a quickie from me, I think I will take Angus to the Dr today. Last night all he did was scram all night. I had given him panadol, thinking it was his teeth, but made no difference. He was farting a lot, so not sure if he had a tummy ache, but this morning he is pulling his ear, so am wondering if he has ear infection. I am so at a loss. He also has smelly runny poos, wouldn't say diarhoea cause it isn't overly runny/watery (sorry TMI!!!), but he went 3 times in an hour this morning. He was so incolsolable last night it was so frustrating. Poor baby boy, I feel so bad not knowing what to do. But anyway, might go get him checked over just to bo on the safe side.
Take Care, hope everyone has a great weekend!!
Oh Shellbelle, poor ANgus,How is the little darling now? We had the same kinda probs with brody a few weeks ago, turns out it was his teethigng but silly mummy had forgotten to not to be so heavy handed on the garlic and onion in the spag bog the night before.I hope the poor little poppet gets better soon.
And yes brody is into everything lol...much to his DS disgust.lol...
Yay 4 Brody!!!
Shell im so sorry 2 hear that  Bella is going through seperation anxitity and it's not very fun! :wall:
Please keep us posted as 2 what the doc says. How is ur breast feeding going now?
Oh I tell ya I am almost at the end of my tether!! Kass, BF is going fine, now he has decided he will feed all the time. I am so sick of him getting up 10 million times a night, and then after being up all night, he decides he will get up at 5am and not go back to sleep. I think this week I need a "me" day, I might take him to Mums for the day so I can just have some time out. I am just so exhausted I find I am getting angry at him and I know it isn't his fault. DH is not helping and just yells at me for yelling at Angus. All I want to do is cry. But anyway, today is another day, I am going over to a gf for morning tea and she loves Angus so she can have him for the morning! Just when I thought it was getting better, it all crashes down around me.:help:
Anyway, sorry for the rant, good to get it off my chest. Hope veryone has a nice day!
Shell i no exactly where ur coming from! She goes down with a struggle then wakes all the time then wakes anywhere between 2 & 7am 4 the day :wall:
I get angry also and DP is like "She's just a baby" im like "well u get a break, u go 2 work, she's like this all day!"
I think she's slowley getting better but as soon as i think that it'll all go 2 crap again!
Ur not alone, buddy! :p
Hi girls!
Shell how is angus feeling? Hope he is ok? Maybe he is wanting to feed so much because he has been unwell? Hugs hun, you are doing a great job and make sure you get yourself that break ok!
Hi Kass sorry to hear that Bella is being unsettled too, gosh these little ones can be such a handful. I hope things settle down for you two soon. Did you end up taking a pg test?
Well Elena has recovered from her ear infection and seems to be back to her happy self yay! Hopefully there won't be a next time but if there is I think I will know the signs now. I'm so tired at the moment, my 2 day a week job is so draining. Doesn't sound like much but because I have to travel a fair way and learn so much new stuff I get home and I'm exhausted! At least I am staying at mums for dinner tonight yay! Hope all is well with everyone else :D
Hey Sangie thats great that El is better
Bella is slowly getting back to routine, dont know if it'll stay that way im hopeing at least 4 a lil while
With the hole work thing, don't get 2 down about it and worry 2 much ur body will get used to it, if it gets 2 much cut back 2 one day?
Shell how is everything now?
OMG 6 more days until sleep school and it could not come soon enough!!!! I put Noah down at 7:30pm on Sunday night and he woke up briefly at 8:30pm when I was able to shush him to sleep. All was good until 12:40am when he woke up and came to our bed and fed every 15 minutes before getting up for the day at 3am but he played in our bed and fed until 6:30am while I just dozed there hoping it would just stop. Last night was not much better but I made him stay awake until 11pm and he just did the feed every 30mins until 9am.
Sorry I don't have time for personals ATM but I really need to get this house cleaned, Juz was on my back in a big way yesterday because I had let things go for a few days. So hard to keep up with it when you have a child that won't do day sleep and lives in fear of the vacuum cleaner
Hope everyone is well!!!
Sarah- Whoa mama! You are looking HOT honey! LOVE the new avi!!!!
Back later for a big catch up all - have a great night!
Sarah sleep school is what im looking in2 lately, let me know how u go and if it's worth Annabelle and i going2, good luck!!! :crossfingers:
Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't been around much. We are crazy busy. It's only 2 1/2 weeks until I am dropping down to only working 6 shifts a fortnight so I should be a lot freer and able to catch up with everyone.
Sending heaps of hugs to those with the babies not sleeping or are sick.
Hopefully things will turn around soon for us all.
Chat soon,
Luv Dan & Livvy
Sangie - Im so glad El is feeling better- its so awful when they are not well isnt it. Sorry to hear work is so exhausting - I work 2.5 days and it feels like full time - I do so much at home and after school, its ridiculous! I cant wait to be aon mat leave again! :D
HBB - Yay for Brodie what a clever boy!
Sarah- which sleep school are you going to hun?? I hope it helps for you. Is it a week or day stay that you are going to? Did I tell you that you look hot?? Haha!
Shell - You poor thing - I hope you can get your me day hun. It is so hard when they wake a billion times a night. I feel awful but once I went back to work I put my foot well and truly down and told Al that I would not feed between 7-6 and so most of the time now he goes in to settle her. We are down to about 10-25 mins of grizzling and crying now before she resettles and its been about 2 weeks. She sleeps through til about 4-5 now, so its a big step from waking 2-3 hourly. Its hard to let her cry sometimes though but I just have to with work. Ugh sorry bit of a selfish vent, anyway just want to say you have to do what gets you through babe. :hugs:
Kass - sorry to hear that Bella is waking so much for you too. I went to sleep school with Izzy at 6 mths for a day stay and it was good but you have to be prepared to let them cry a little and listen to their different cries. We now let her go for a few minutes and really listen to her different cries and peaks and we have worked out when she is just calling out and pushing us or if she is genuinely upset and needs a pat and cuddle. Good luck hun - its definately worth looking into.
Dan - 6 shifts a fortnight sounds good hun! Did you request to cut back a bit??? SOunds like you will be much freer to spend time with your girl and us! :hugs: When are you moving?
:hello: to everyone I have missed!
We are doing well - Izzy is such a funny miss, mum sent me the funniest photos of her playing with our dog while I was at work today! (Long story - our dog Charlie - Cav King Charles lives with mum and dad!) She loves him - so cute to see! She loves chasing him with her walker and little car thing!
Pregnancy wise Im doing ok - man this all day and night morning sickness really sucks though. I dont throw up much thank goodness but I have this constant feeling of nausea like I could go either way at any time. Ugh - Im hoping it passes soon. I also am eating like a dervish and am worried about putting on weight but I just cant stop, just polished off a bowl of Connoisseur Chocolate Indulgence icecream....mmmmm.
Funniest thing happened today too - talk about baby brain. Id decided not to say anything for a few weeks to the staff at work, i just told my Prin and the girl I share a grade with. Today we were all sitting in the staffroom chatting about another teacher who was induced today - someone asked one of the girls where she was and she said the Angliss. So I turn around to them all and say - "oh Im thinking about going to the Angliss with this one" :cryinglaugh: They all yelled straight away and one said "this one - OMG" So now half the staff know! Idiot.
Ah well whaddya do.
Well its nearly my bedtime so Im off ladies - I hope you are all doing fantastically well!
Oh Tan, that is hilarious!! That is something I would do!! Now I know what your statues on facebook means!!
Well, Angus was only up a few times last night, I actually gave him panadol and a bottle of formula beofre settling him for the night. He then had 2 BF at some stage during the night, I never even looked at the times, and he got up at 6am, so is somewhat of an improvement. Fingers crossed it gets better!!
sarah, hope sleep school goes well for you!! How is business! Did you get your house work done!!
Kass, how's your sleep going?? Is bella getting any better!!
Tan, when will you finish work this time? Is nice to be thinking of Mat leave again!!! Hope the nausea goes away soon!!
Ang, how is El going? Hope she continues to get better.
:hello: to everyone else!!
I am off to put on a load of washing, and go to bed I think!! Fingers crossed for a good night tonight!!
Oh Shell I hope Angus was well behaved last night and that you got some 'me' time!
Tan i hope that sick feeling starts to ease up soon. LOL at your baby brain already, its amazing how early that kicks in isn't it! By the way I know a lot of girls who went to the Angliss and were really happy and would go there again in a heartbeat. Where did you go with Izzy?
Sarah you are one foxy looking mumma  Good luck with sleep school, I hope little Noah decides to pay attention and be a good boy.
Kass fingers crossed that Bella turns a corner too and decides to sleep like an angel. Sleep school may not be a bad idea hun, is there any near you?
Dan great that you are dropping some shifts, means more time with your gorgeous girl and us of course lol!
Well today is my catch up on housework day if little Miss will let me. Work has offered me another day and my first instinct was 'no way!' but then they offered me a pay rise and said I could do the extra day from home in my own time. So I've decided to give it a go and see how it pans out - so I will work Tue and Wed in the office and then do another 8 hours at home which I'm planning to do when El is sleeping. Hhhmm not sure how its going to go as I'm already exhausted and I have told DH that he better ***** start helping out more around the house or else I'm going to chuck a fit. I hate the fact that I have to ask him to do stuff, as if you can' t see that the floor needs vacuuming and there is a pile of laundry to do. AAaaaarrrgghhh men! Ok sorry for mini vent!
Have a lovely day, might BBL later when I get sick of cleaning ;)
i think our husbands need us to go on strike hey Ang!! My DH doesn't even help, even if I ask! No joke, but I did 6 loads of washing on Sunday and he never even helped watch Angus while I did it. I had to either get my eldest DD to keep him occupied or put him in the ergo carrier and have him out with me - not easy hanging out washing with 8+kg strapped to you. I am getting to the point where I might not do any housework and just let him see how much I do do. He thinks I sit at home on my ar*e all day....hmmmm.... Anyway, rant over for me too!!
Now where is Miss Ash, are you having too much fun with your new man and forgotten about us!!!!
Anyway, am going to have a browse around then try and do some thigs while Angus is asleep, fingers crossed he has a good one!! Oh, he woke 3 times last night, BF twice, so maaayyybbeeee things are improving!!!! Still no top teeth through yet though. Bye!
Well ladies i was in tears this morning  I dont get it, Bella goes down at 8 sometimes later sometimes even a bit ealier then she'll sleep till anywhere between 12am-2am then wakes every half hr or 2hrs! By 4:30am she was up ready 4 the day but i got her down eventually (sp) at 5:30am then she woke at 7:30am and mum brought her in2 me. (mums staying with us while her floor boards r getting done at her house)
Clints going "Go 2 sleep!" to Bella and Im like "Shut up ****head, u have 2 deal with it 4 about hr then u go 2 work."
Agggrrrrr........
She's getting better during the day so hopefully she gets better at night. Also she's easier 2 put down now then a stage she went through after teething.
I dont no im at my wits end!
Mum always tells me off 4 getting frustrated, which ****s me coz thats all i let out, i never admit when im having trouble, i feel like a bad mummy. Then mum makes me feel worse when i get frustrated.
Im going around in circles :wall:
Clint hasn't been paid for 3wks!!! Hopefully he is 2day, so thats even more stress that i dont need. I can c myself going 2 crash.
Sorry 4 the long post.:cry::cry::cry:
Awwww :hugs: Kass - I hope Bella settles for you soon hun - check out the sleep schools in your area too hun -they might be able to help. There should be some like in Vic that are covered by Medicare.
Oh Kass
As per my previous post my Dh is not very helpful/supportive either. He doesn't get up during the night, and then yells at me when I yell and get cranky. It is frustrating, you are not a bad mummy, we just do what we do to cope. I always think of myself like a ticking bomb, cause I don't usually go off, but it slowly builds up and i EXPLODE!!!! But, it gets to a stage when the yelling does make you feel better!!! The lack of sleep is such a big killer hey. I can't even sleep during the day when Angus does cause DD2 is only at kindy Mon and Fri, so I still have her to deal with, and she doesn't have a day sleep anymore. So, my advice to you is rest during the day! Leave the housework, and when Bella is asleep - YOU SLEEP TOO!!!! Fingers crossed you get paid also, cause money is the number one reason why DH and I argue!! Am a ctually going down to the bank later to set up a bill paying account so I don't have to do it!!
Tae care
Kass you are not a bad mummy, just a sleep deprived one. Yep leave the housework and sleep when Bella does hun, you will feel so much better. Men are hopeless aren't they, I think that they just don't get it. Maybe you could leave Bella for a few hours with somebody and get some time out, I always find that I feel so much better even if its only for an hour or so. Take care.....
Shell I hear you loud and clear. Last weekend I did a zillion loads of washing, ironing, folding, vacuuming and stocking up the freezer with food for El and what did DH do? Yep watched movies nearly all bloody weekend because he was tired! Then he has the guts to want to DTD on Sunday night when I was absolutely exhausted already and having to get up at 6am for work! Well I'm over it and doesn't he know about it. Yikes didn't mean to have another vent, lol I'm on my high horse today.
Yeah where is Miss Ash, she's in luuurrrrvvvveee I hope and far too busy for us!
Thanx guys 4 all ur words of wisdom. She has done her sleeps 2day so thats made me feel better, ill let u no how she goes with 2night ;)
I did my pg and i got a :bfn: of course secretly sad :( but no that it's not the right time yet. But now its got me thinking how exciting it's going 2 b when/ if it happens! Can someone else get pg so i can live the excitment through them
thanx again ladies  2 all!
sorry kass, I have no advice for you darling.
I am finally in to see the childrens hopsital on friday! thank god they had a cancellation. Mason will be seen over PROPERLY by a Pead for an hour. I am so glad. Then they promise me they will teach me things that the sleep school didn't show me. So I am really hoping that I can implement something that will work.
At the moment, he will sleep no longer than 15 mins unless he is in the car. So every nap time, I need to drive around the block repeatedly until he is asleep, and then leave the car RUNNING in the drive way with the air con on. Its costing us so much in fuel and the mechanic said its not good to leave the car idling either :(
I am now a permament resident of the couch,. it seems to be working best. Mason sleeps with DH in our bed. He still wakes several times a night, but not every 5 mins which is what he does if he is in his own bed.
Sorry this is a mammoth post.
I spoke to ash today, she is good but yes she is in love! too much in love to be worrying about us :p
xxxx
D, I really hope you have some luck on Friday. They are great at the RCH, I'm sure they'll be helpful. Good luck hun
Big hello to everyone else!
