Hi All :hello:
Sorry I have been MIA, am so sick of being sick!!!! We all have head colds - yet again, and am struggling!!! Angus is still not sleeping well, I am trying to wean him as he is just BF for comfort at night, but he is not wanting to let go of his boobie just yet - aargh!! Whovever asked about us TTC, no we are not trying but had an oopsie and like you Lis, I ovulated haha!!! But, no, atm we are def not trying, my 3 are hard work, especially when they are ALL sick!!!!
Sorry, I promise will try to pop back later for personals. Take Care!! Mwah xxx
Hiya ladies and bubbies!
How are we all? Must all be busy busy.....!
Tan I know what you mean about boys names. Lucky Elena was a girl or we would have been in serious trouble - could never agree on any boys names! I'm sure you guys will come up with the perfect name for your prince - btw I love William James!
Shell oh no at the lurgies again, hope you all get better soon!
Ash hope you and Blakey are ok hun
Not much happening here. DH is sick and looks like Ellie might be getting it too, runny nose and sleeping a lot. Fingers crossed it doesn't get too bad. I'm so over this cold weather, bring on summer!!!!!!!!!
Love to ya all, hope all is well!
Quick one here - Izzy jsust fell off the change table head first - well about 1/2 an hour ago.... I can't believe it - I had one hand on her leg and bent over to pick up her top that had fallen and she was down on the floorboards... :crying: She seems fine and nurse online said we should stay home unless she vomits etc.... but FAR OUT.... I am a total mess.... hysterical screaming, crying and even when i could see she was ok, I was still shaking and crying and hysterical....:( I feel SO bad because I have been saying for weeks that I should just change her on the floor because she is too active up there. Sad mummy - Im off to make myself a cuppa while she sleeps. Hope you are all well.
Tan - just responded to your other thread. Hugs to you sweetie. Good luck with names. As you know, it was a nightmare for us. Just so you know though, you and I should have babies together (IYKWIM!) - we definitely agree on names. I love William!!
Ash - sorry things are rough for you again. Hope life gets a little brighter soon.
Lis - hope DH is feeling better and Elena has managed to avoid whatever lurgy he had.
Hi to everyone else. Sorry - not much time today. Things here aren't so flash. Elena has gone from being a beautiful, content little baby to a screaming nightmare. I'm crossing everything it is "just" colic - I couldn't stand for her to be a reflux baby too. I had to leave Izzy alone in the family room yesterday for about 10 minutes and it was just too long. She couldn't see me and by the time I got back to her she was sitting by the gate in very sad, scared tears. God I have never felt so bad in all my life. I know as a mother its a dreadful thing to say, but I really am wishing at the moment that we had never had Elena. I just hope that when we had that magical 3 month mark things will improve.
Lulu - You are most definitely not a terrible mum for being frustrated and venting. You love your two little girls more than anything you are just exhausted and you are only one person and you have two gorgeous little girls wanting your attention at the same time and no-one, no-one can do that. Hopefully Elena's screaming will settle down soon and you will have your gorgeous little one back. Sending you heaps of :hug::hug:
Tan -:hug::hug:. I hate mummy guilt!!! You can only watch Izzy the best you can and you are doing an amazing job of being Izzy's mummy. Please stop beating yourself up. That is so damn hard I know.
Sangie - How is working from home working out? How is the TWW treating you? Any symptoms yet?
Shell - How weaning Angus going? Giving up his boobie at all?
Ash - So sorry that everything is going wrong at the moment. Got everything crossed that Blake gets better and you and Dave sort out all your problems.
Livvy is being an absolutely angel at the moment. She is giggling, running around squealing and plays all day long. Whenever I am sitting on the floor she runs over sits on my lap and covers me in kisses. She is over her screaming until we pick her up and is back to settling herself. Whenever she sees food she races into the lounge room and sits on her mat and holds her hands up. She is eating everything in sight.
TTC is very trying again. It drives me bloody crazy, GGGGRRRRRR!!!!!! I'm only going to give it 6 months until I go to the FS and get some help.
Better go and get some lunch organised for the little princess.
Chat soon gorgeous ladies.
Hello everyone ill be beack later to do some personals
Hi Everyone!!
Firstly, Tan, you are soooo not a bad Mummy. These things happen, I know I am guilty of similar things!! Angus has fallen out of our bed 3 times!! I am sure she prob got just about as much of a scare as you did - that was prob the reason for most of the tears!!
Lulu, your girls know you love them both, it is just hard to have enough time!! I am guilty of having to leave one to deal with another - trust me, they will grow to understand!! Middle DD ALWAYS chose the times when I was sitting down feeding Angus to do a number 2!! And she would yell out from the toilet "finished, Mum you need to check my Bum!!!!" Kids, they were sent here to test us I think!!! Mine try every day!!!
Dan, where are you up to on your cycle?? I am having no luck weaning Mr, he wants it all night long, and screams till I feed him. Last night was 4 times, I am so exhausted with work as well. I had an early yesterday and a late tomorrow, so need to spend to day catching up on washing. I want another baby just for Maternity leave again!!!!
Lis, I am hoiping we are all on the getting better stretch now!! How is Elena? Angus's biggest prob with a snotty nose is not being able to suck his dummy - very distressing for us all!!!
Ash - how is everything going? I hope Blakey gets better, what are they doing for his anaemia?? Hope things with Dave improve also.
D - how is the house going!! I would love to do some reno's round here - not enough time or money unfortunatley!!!
Kass- How are things?? Annabelle looks like a doll in your ticker pic!!
Anyway, update on us!!! Angus is being horrendous lately!!! He is not sleeping and basically being a big sook! He wants me to pick him up all the time, and if I don't he chases me around crying. I don't know what to do. The girls were never this hard. He is just so full on, and as soon as he is awake he is non stop. He is into cupboards, climbs anything he can, always in the rubbish bin etc etc. I hate putting too much up becuase he will never learn and will destroy other peoples houses when we visit. I never had to put anything up from the girls, they knew No and did what I told them. Gosh, on the other hand, he is good for Mum when I go to work and I am so happy when I get home and see his face light up when he sees me!!! I love them to death, but gee they are hard work!!!
Anyway, I really need to put some washing on. Oh, my tupperware party went really well, I sold heaps and got lots of freebies!! I am so excited, can't wait to get it all now!! See ya!!xx
HI all!
Shell yay for your tupperware party, wish I could have come! Hopefully Angus is just going through a phase and this clingyness will stop - its so hard though isn't it? Elena was super clingy a few weeks ago but it seems to have passed thankfully.
Tan - how are you and Izzy now? I responded to your other thread. THese things happen and I think its just part of growing up. My mum always tell the story of when I fell out of my cot onto my head on hard tiles and I still turned out ok (well I guess that could be debatable lol!)
Lulu - your girls know that you absolutely adore them and you can't physically split yourself up into 2 pieces. I'm no expert but I'm sure it will get easier as Elena get older. How is she? I really hope its not reflux, maybe a growth spurt is makinng her so unsettled?
Dan i know how frustrating it is TTC when your body wont do what its meant to. I wish you all the luck in the world! How are your cycles going, regular????? Fingers and toes doubly crossed for you.
Hi Ash, Kass, D and anyone else!
Not much going on here. Half way through my TWW - no symptoms and have a feeling I'm not pg (although that is what I said half way through my TWW when pg with Elena!). Elena still not well although she is happy enough. She is just very very pale, runny nose and sleeping a lot. Might take her to the doc tomorrow if she doesn't improve today. She is still eating well though so that is something! Well better go, have a lovely day all!
Lis - you're describing exactly the same "symptoms" that Izzy has. She's white as a ghost a lot of the time, and her day sleeps have doubled in length, but she has so much energy when she's awake. She is dribbling a lot and chewing on her hand so I'm sure its teeth. Only thing is, I seem to blame teeth every time I think she's not quite 100%! Funny about you not thinking you were pregnant with Elena. With both Izzy and my Elena I just knew.
Shell - yay for tupperware freebies!!! Sorry Angus is being so clingy and destructive. A boy thing maybe?? My SILs both complain that I seem to have it so much easier with Izzy than they had it with their boys.
Dan - Livvy sounds absolutely gorgeous. I don't get kisses out of Izzy so I am very jealous. Sorry your TTC journey is so hard. Isn't it amazing how we spend most of our lives taking such huge precautions against getting pregnant, which it seems to be a pretty hard thing to achieve for so many of us. Did you have to have fertility treatment for Olivia? Crossing everything for you it happens soon.
Sorry for my meltdown yesterday. Elena has been getting progressively more unsettled over the last couple of weeks so I am starting to think its more than colic. I've made an appointment to go and see the magic chiropractor witch doctor that I took Izzy to, so hopefully he can do his magic on her. She is having a "long" sleep at night - 5 hours after a feed is as long as it gets, but then she seems to want to feed every 2 hours after that. I've tried distracting her because I'm not convinced she's hungry but nothing works. Do any of you remember having to feed that often by this stage (a whole 7 weeks old!!) Am I just not remembering how crap it really was in those first few months?
Anyway, off to pick my Mum up now. She's got her car in for service and is spending the day with me. If I was sensible I'd spend the day in bed and let Granma entertain Izzy, but I think I'll take advantage of a second pair of hands and do the shopping instead.
Have a good day everyone.
Lulu, all my kiddies really only fed 3-4hrly overnight as newborns, yikes, not 2nd hourly!! you must be one tired Mumma!!! I hope your magic chiropractor pulls some tricks out of his hat for her!!!
Oh, I better move my big butt, I am cooking pasta for the kids, and garlic prawns for us. They won't eat the prawns so have to do pasta as well!! Almost a restaurant round here some days!!! Have heaps of prawns that my Dad caught, so have to cook them before they go bad. Do you think Angus would be right to eat prawns now?? Haven't given him any yet cause I was too scared!!! Anyways, BBl!!
Ok firstly Lulu- Yes! Annabelle went through terrible stages with feeding as a young one. But as I had nothing to compare it to I just did it and she got over it with both of us working (crying, tearing hair out) routine. I remember for a few nights she was doing hourly! I think she just didn't want me to not be with her. Hang in there she will get past it. You're NOT a bad mother. You ARE a mother of a 13month old and a newborn! I cant even imagine how much patience that would take! Annabelle is still such a baby, I can see how you would be feeling so down about the situation. I dont think it's Elena you wished you never had Im thinking it's just the situation you wish you never had. Coz if it was all roses imagine how bored you would be!
Just think huni, when we're all having our second (those of us who only have one) you can look at our posts and smile (maybe laugh) at the fact that you can now give us advice on how to get through it. Hang in there, Elena will grow so quick and all this will be a distant memory.
Tan- Is Iz ok!!!!!!!!???????????? It's truly amazing what these lil ones can do to themselves and be alright. It's usually us who are hurt more, broken hearted that our lil ones have hurt themselves.
I know a lil man called Jett and one called Jed both with the middle names JAMES! They're tounge twisters, but really nice. You obviously like the more traditional names which is the same as me so Im sure you'll see that lil man and just know what he should be called. But a list is always great fun. I cant believe Iz has 3 molers!!! Annabelle has 2 top teeth and 2 bottom ones. But she is teething at the moment Im sure, at least I hope thats the reason why she is acting like this!
Shell- Your house hold sounds a bit like a mad house like mine! I wouldn't have it anyother way though
Angus is just loving his mummy? Hahahaha sometimes they can love to much to a point where they have left an imprint on your hip! Annabelle does stuff like that if she feels sick or teething, or if she just wants to cuddle inbetween mummy and daddy when mummy and daddy are trying to have alone time ;)
Yummy pasta!!! Even better prawns!!!! Angus should be fine to eat prawns, of course not the tail  Annabelle lovvvvvves fish!
Sangie- Fingers crossed you have a lil wonder in there! I hope Ellie gets better we are all only just getting over the cold. Not a fun or clean experience with us all snotting everywhere. Annabelle hates the sucker thing I use to clear her lil nose :(
Dan- I love all the talking and laughing Annabelle is doing! She says wayyyyy to many words for own good though  Health nurse thinks she'll be an early bird in the sentences. Great 2 chatter boxes in the house!
Babydust your way!
D- Having fun doing your house? it'll feel great once all done ;)
Well not much to report here ladies. Still just taking our time working on things. Me as a person, im slowly working myself out and realising im not as worthless as i've always thought  blah blah blah boring stuff ;) Seeing a lady at the MCHC that is helping me with self esteem etc. Annabelle has taken lots of steps but I still think shes a lil while from walking, but she is making up for it in talking!
Well I think I did a pretty good job on catching up! Sorry if I missed anyone but I'll bbl to fill in the gaps.
Hi everyone!!
Sorry have been MIA, but as per usual we have a sick household as well.
Ethyn started it all!!! Ah the joys of childcare, think he must be allergic to it. Shell I hear you on wanting another one just for the maternity leave, its hard work working 40hours per week, keeping a household up to scratch and keeping everyone happy. I have a very sick nan at the moment too, they were certain a few weeks ago that she wasn't going to make it and at the moment its a matter of when, she is in hospital at the moment and pretty much has been in there on and off, well more on, since the Anzac day weekend, what makes it worse for me is that we are 4 hours away, and the thought of doing a flying visit is out of the question as air fares here and back are $400, which is a total joke!!!!
Sorry for no personals, I am just so tired and should go and start tea.
:2ww: for the wait Lis, hope you get what you want.
:bellyrubs: Tan!!!
*flowers* (sorry not emoticon!!) Lulu , you are doing a brilliant job with the 2 girls, don't be ashamed for leaving Iz in the lounge for 10 minutes, I leave Ethyn alone in the lounge while I hang the washing out
:grouphug: for everyone else!!
I know I said no personals, but they are only quick!! Ok off to sort out my 2 kids (one being DH)
Hi Lee, I was wondering how you were going! Sorry to hear about you nan, its awful when you are so far away. I will be thinking of her. Seems all our little ones have been sick lately, fingers crossed you are all feeling better soon!
Lulu how is Izzy? Elena seems less pale today but is still sleeping a lot, her day naps are double to what they usually are too. I like your theory that its teething, I might go with that too lol! Has Izzy got her molars yet? Elena hasn't so maybe that is what it is, well sounds good anyway! Hope the chiro works his/her magic on your Elena.
Kass great to hear from you. Annabelle sounds like she is doing well and good on you for talking to your MCH, I'm glad that you are feeling so much better! Elena is also a talker, hhhmmm most likely also inherited from her mummy lol!
Tan, Dan, Ash and D - :hello:
Ok that's as good as I can manage tonight. I'm really tired, Ellie is in bed and DH is out at a work function so might make the most of a quiet house and watch a DVD in peace. Have a lovely weekend all! :D
So how are all the sick bubbas going??
We are on the mend, just damn teeth causing havic now. Has FOUR molars poking through!! Poor bubba, he has just got another 2 bottom ones, so has the top 4 and bottom 4 at the front, and is now getting his bottom molars. The top ones are almost through, and the bottom ones are starting - geez it never ends hey!!
Anyway, just popping in to say hi, I have to clean up from dinner yet. Just put Angus to bed and the girls are watching Cats & Dogs laughing their heads off!! Hope evryone has a nice weekend!!
Annabelle is teething at the moment. She wont let me look in her mouth and I no how she's acting that it's teething. I just dont know where to look for them. Can someone tell me whats usually next to pop out after she already has her 2 top and 2 bottom ones?
Kass, Angus got the same as Annabelle first, then he got the ones up the top beside his 2 top ones. Then he got two top molars, then his other bottom ones beside the middle ones. Now he is getting his other bottom molars. That sounds so confusing!!!! Anyway, I better get my butt into gear, we are off to the show, complete waste of money but the girls are keen!! Am basically prob going to wave goodbye to $200 by the time they do a few rides and get a show bag!!! Anyway, hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!! xx
Shell -Hey hun - glad it sounds like you are getting over your lurgies.... we have had it tough this year haven't we. Have fun at the show! Let us know all the goodies you get! They do say girls are a bit more independant than girls, having said that though, Izzy is going through a VERy cuddly stage, and will cry for cuddles at times that I can't give them, like cooking dinner etc.... I think she knows so I have been doing my best to give them before that and then to distract her with a dvd  or something else while Im busy. I hope he gets over it soon. Yay for your Tupperware party! I have one on the 6th! Cant wait!!
Kass - Nice to hear from you hun! Hope you are doing ok and working through things. Izzy got her front 2 bottom then 2 top then the two next to those at the bottom and at top (so 8 in total!) then her 3 molars came up! Still waiting on one more molar! Izzy is great! Thanks for your kind words! I had an absolute heart attack but she really was fine about 2 mins after she fell!! Mum and I have beene watching her like a hawk all week to make sure her speech, movement, co-ordination etc are all ok!
Lee - you poor thing - these colds are just horrible aren't they. for you and your Nan, I hope she gets really better soon hun. Don't forget when you have the other one you have to be pg and work UP to your maternity leave :p Not fun when you are chasing a toddler and the size of a whale! Seriously I am HUGE and only 26 weeks - whats with that!!
Lis - I hope you had a nice relaxing night hun - a dvd and night in snuggling on the couch sounds divine!!
Lulu - MAJOR  to you gorgeous - you are doing an AMAZING job and I can understand how you feel hun, splitting my time is my biggest fear and how I will do that without feeling like a bad mummy. Thing is, the fact that we CARE about this stuff makes us good mums hun... I know that there are parents and mums out there that don't and I think that is what separates us all. Off my soapbox now but I hope you were able to have some time when your mum arrived... Hows the P & T going ;)
Dan - isn't this age so fun!! Im enjoying my girl so much right now (although when have I not!!) She is just the most fun little treasure to be around! I just can't go anywhere with her in her stroller for too long! Thinking of you TTC hun and fingers crossed that you don't have to go to the FS and your body will do its thang.
Ash - Huge hugs to you and Blake I hope he gets better soon chick.
D - Hey hun I hope you and Master M are well!
:hello: to all I have missed but if I keep going it will take you guys days to read!!
We are well, I am on holidays finally! I thought I was coming down with another cold yesterday but turns out just to be really bad hayfever - WTF - in the middle of winter??? but it was really windy here the other day so i think it stirred up all the pollens etc. Izzy is fine except for her cute geeky monk hair cut I gave her OMG remind me to take her to the hairdresser for a fringe cut next time! im too scared to fix it in case it ends up too short and looks even sillier!!
Im feeling huge right now, I swear I am so much bigger than with Izzy - in fact I know I am because I have been comparing pics!! I am doing lots of exercise though, trying to get fit for my VBAC. Yoga, classes, walking etc! Im also thinking about changing hospitals - crazy I know but there is another local hospital that I sort of forgot about and dismissed that has a much more positive and relaxed attitude to VBAC than the Mercy so I might go there- going on a tour tomorrow night.
DH and I are having a "date day" tomorrow. He is off work and we have both been workign our butts off lately and not really spending enough time on each other so mum is going to take her for the day and we are going out for lunch and going to do some Ikea shopping! I need some toy storage before I go completely crazy!!
Ok Im off ladies have a wondeful Sunday and I will promise to try and keep up more regularly! :D
We too have had an amazing weekend together as well. We had SIL, BIL & neice stay friday night after BIL did heaps of electrical work around the house so we all bummed out, eat pizza and watched movies while the girls played together. Saturday mum & dad came over and once again we did heaps of work on the house. But today was the best day as DH spoilt me rotten (gotta admit I love it when he does that :D). He took me shopping and we bought a dining table, buffet/hutch, 3 piece enterainment unit and a coffee table . We really really needed the furniture as we still had the crappy stuff you buy when you start out. You know the crappy laminated stuff that you buy from the reject shop and have to put it together and when you do there is always screws missing and the pre-drilled holes never line up, LOL!! Oh well it's served us well. I don't think the three weeks till it is going to arrive. I'm so excited. We have grown-up furniture, YAA HOO!!!! We then had lunch together and Livvy and I came home and had a huge sleep each. All in all a fantastic day. Plus now I'm all rested up to start night shift again.
Tan - YAY on the holidays and your date day with DH tomorrow. Have the most amazing time. Fantastic to hear to Izzy has recovered from her fall. How's your little man treating you? Can't wait to hear all about your hospital tour too.
Shell - How'd the show go? I'm guessing the kids got absolutely spoilt. Did the kids enjoy themselves?
Kass - Livvy got her teeth a little different to other kids, surprise surprise. She got the bottom middle two, then months months later she got the four top ones at once and another bottom front one has just cut through. There is no signs of any molars yet and I must admit i'm not looking forward to them coming through either.
Sangie - How you going petal? So is Elena going to be a big sister? How do you find working from home? Do you get your work done? Pure curiousity, LOL!!
D - How's the reno going? Getting through them? Most importantly though how is little man travelling? Being good for his mummy and daddy?
Lulu - How you going? Your girls settling into a bit of a routine for you? You feeling a bit better?
Ash - Hope everyone is getting better and you and Dave are sorting through your issues.
We are in the TWW again but I'm not even overly convienced that I O'ed even though FF gave me the coverlines as the first white circle was taken at 2pm and the second at 1pm after my sleep from night shift. Will just have to wait and see but I am fairly sure this is going to be the easiest TWW because I'm so not convienced.
Alright gotta dash & get ready for work. More damn night shifts but then I have 6 days off, YAY!!!
Chat soon gorgeous ladies.
Hi all! :D
Tan yay for holidays, enjoy it hun! Well they say you get bigger with each pg, in my case that is not going to be a pretty sight! Don't worry hun, I'm sure you look beautiful! Enjoy your date, I think its so important to make time for each other with everything else going on! We have a date night every so often and its so great to be able to talk without interruptions!
Kass - Elena got two bottom middle teeth, then two top front and then the two either side of those....so she has 6 teeth. I can see two more bottom ones so I'm guessing that they will be next to pop through. Teething seems to never end does it?
Dan - I'm like you and not convinced that I'm pg. AF is due tomorrow but DH is away on business until Wed and I'm under strict instructions not to POAS until he gets back! Oh well will wait and see if the witch arrives! Working from home is going well, I work when Ellie goes to bed on Sundays (about 7pm until around 12/1am) and then during her naps on Mondays. I try not to work any other time on the weekends so we can have family time. So far its working well! I'm usually pretty tired on Mondays but going to bed early on Mon night helps and DH lets me sleep in on Sundays! Fingers crossed that this is your month
Lulu - hope Elena has settled down for you hun
Shell - how was the show, did you spend a fortune lol!
Hi to everyone else!
My poor little poppet has had a bad weekend. She has been feeling unwell, very pale still and had a fever last night. Then today she fell, banged her head on the corner of the door and split it open. Now she has a huge purple egg on her forehead. Poor thing looks and feels like she has been in a war zone! Better go get some work done, have a lovely evening all!
hey guys, quick one from me whilst Im sitting here getting high on paint fumes!
Painting is going well but I am bored...haha its annoying me now! Dad is coming over tomorrow to help me put all the new knobs on everything...I got chrome ones.SOOOOO much better than those big brown ugly wooden things!
Sangie: I hope Elena is ok! how scary for you!
Dan:here I sit with you in the tww again and i hope our prayers are answered!
Sangies: I think you are pregnant! I have a feeling!!!
Lulu; you really are doing an amazing job and I know you are a great mother. Your girls are gunna be so grateful when they look back at how you raised them. Hope things start settling down for you soon.
Shell: how was the show?
Kass: great to hear from you and Lee again!
Hello to ashlee and sarah wherever you are xxx

Hello to ashlee and sarah wherever you are xxx
YAY I found the little bugger of a tooth that has been giving Annabelle grief!
It's down the bottom on the right hand side. So now she has two up top and three down the bottom :clap: The only thing is the one that has just popped through is a little inward, as in in toward her tongue so I hope it straightens up as it comes out of her little gum
Ill be back later for personals. Already made tuna pasta dinner just got to wait for DP to get home to eat! Annabelle has already eaten, little piggy almost always has seconds when we have pasta
Quick one again here!
Our date day turned into a night too! Izzy stayed at mums so we could have a night off.... Poor DH was like a bear with a sore head, he really doesn't cope without her here, whereas I cherished every minute of knowing my girl was safe but having a break!! Having said that I couldn't sleep in so here I am freezing my butt off! How cold is it! We got Izzy a rug from Ikea for her new room, and curtains! Im going back to Spotlight today to get material for the cradle and my carriers! 20% off yesterday but we took a number and we were 34 - they were up to 5 and DH cracked it!! Right Im off to cruise forums for a bit before I go pick up my cherub!
Quickie here also!!!
i have to get ready for work but thought I would say hi!! We have had a huuuge weekend, almost glad it is over!! We went to the show - kids had a blast! Spent heaps, but was a great day! Then we went fishing yesterday, so hence the kids are exhausted!! So am I, but off to work I have to go... Will try and pop back tomorrow to catch up prop!!!
Another fly by........
Ellie is still not well, blocked nose means she is waking up a lot at night cos she can't breathe properly. She also started coughing. Hoping this goes away soon. Tired as DH is away too so can't even share getting up at night. Wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to get up to go to work too! Still no AF, DH is home tomorrow night so if no AF by tomorrow then will go buy pg test. No symptoms though so not sure what is going on?
Thanks so much ladies. Don't know what I'd do without you all to vent to and get support from sometimes.
Lis - oooooh. Sounding interesting. Looking forward to hearing the results of that pregnancy teswt. Poor Ellie. I hope her cold clears up soon. Will be nice for you to have your DH home again - maybe with some interesting news for him.
Dan - crossing absolutely everything for you this month. Your weekend sounds lovely and yay for getting some lovely new furniture. I keep looking at our horrible coffee tables and tv cabinet thingy and would love to go shopping for something new, but figured Izzy would have it scratched and belted around in no time - she's such a, um, determined little soul. I swear if she could lift a sledge hammer I could hire her out as a house demolisher!
Danni - how's the painting going? I always love the idea of painting when I start but by the end of the first coat I'm pretty over it!
Tan - loving the P&Ts!! I still much prefer the side by side for "real" walks, but its so big and heavy it would be impossible to use around the shops so the P&Ts is definitely a winner. Did you get the new Vibe or just the Sports? The Vibe looks great but I just couldn't spend the extra without really risking DH divorcing me! Good on you for having a date day/night with your DH. Lovely how they miss their princesses so much but you do have to laugh - its supposed to be us that can't bear to leave them.
Shell - glad the kids enjoyed the show. Fortunately I've got a few years before mine will want to do any of that - save me taking out the second mortgage for a while. Its so expensive isn't it. Still, I do love the show too. Hopefully we will be able to scrape together enough money one day to take the kids to Disneyland - such a cool place.
Kass - yay for the tooth finally popping through. Hopefully Annabelle will get a bit of relief now. I wouldn't worry too much about the angle of the tooth at the moment - Izzy's seem to move around a lot even after they've popped through.
Elena had her CHN check today. She's put on another 200grams in 10 days so I'm really pleased. She's now put on just over on a kg since birth, 7cms in length and 5cm for her head circumstance so she's growing beautifully. Now if we can just get something more than 4 hourly feeds I'll be really happy. I had to call my Mum yesterday morning asking for help. I'd had another crap night with very little sleep so Mum came over and watched the girls while I had a beautiful 2 hour nap. Funny how babies can be so different to one another. We do exactly the same with Elena as we did with Isabelle in relation to routines, settling techniques etc. Izzy was sleeping through at least 9 hours a night by this age, and I can't even imagine getting anything like that from Ellie. Oh well. Hanging out for that magic 3 month mark when everything gets so much easier. Izzy is so gorgeous with her now though. If Ellie is upset, Izzy will bring her toys or cover her with a blanket. She kept bringing me a sock this morning and trying to put it on her foot. So cute. Anyway, gotta go and buy some new bathers for swimming with Iz - I took her for the first time since Ellie's birth last week and nearly fell out of my bathers - very embarrassing!
Sangie- Annabelle has just gotten over that terrible cold! But now I have it! :( The cough lasts a while but the blocked nose doesn't well didn't seem to with Annabelle. I was giving her what was left of the Dimizen then I ran out and couldn't get more apperently they are no longer making it for under 2yrs  OMG I hope you're PG!!!!!!
Lulu- I guess all bubs are different hey! Thats great your mummy can help you. I guess just do what you're doing until she settles better.
Wow I dont know about everyone elses babies but compared to Izzy, Annabelle is still very baby baby. I mean she is advanced in speaking etc but she wouldn't do that stuff Izzy is doing with a newborn. I guess Izzy has grown up a little scene as there's another bubs in the house. Fantastic she is helping you. They reckon the est way to stop sibling jealousy is to involve the other bubba. You sound like you're doing one hell of a good job  Keep it up buddy
Lulu-I'm still waiting for the magic 3 month mark with Blake LOL
Just a quick one to say no I haven't forgotten about you all I'm just super busy working 6 days a week. Been having a ROUGH time with Blake, money, Scott, Dave....all just gone to the ***** but things are looking up again.
6 weeks until my 21st people, I'm verrrrrry excited. have a look at gpo.com.au and look at code lounge, that's where I'm having it :)
Have a good one ladies!
Ash and Blake xoxo
Hey Ash I didn't know you were the same age as me!
Hope all is working itself out for you guys ;)
So Tuesday night Elena slept 10 hours straight. Bliss, except for the dripping wet sheets and very, very sore boobs in the morning!! Last night was back to normal though. Oh well. Was nice for even a night. I had to get up during last night and express though - she took one side and was sound asleep and nothing I could do would get her on the other side and I was already leaking. I haven't expressed with Ellie yet so nothing was sterilised - figured I'd just get myself more comfortable and then throw the 30mls I was expecting down the drain. Except I got 125mls in 5 minutes!!! That never, ever happened with Iz. It was very depressing throwing that much milk away so I figure I had better get myself organised today and sterilise all the expressing stuff so I can build up a little milk store. It would be nice to think DH and I could go out on our own sometime, or God forbid I go out on my own!!!
 Lulu- Sounds like everything is slowly making its way to a comfy NEW normal ;)
Your doing better at expressing then I ever did, strange how a babies mouth get the milk out but not a machine!
Getting a little milk storage is a great idea then you and hubby can go out on the town together ;)
Movies, dinner the list is endless hahaha. Good luck expressing and have a great day!
Woo hoo Lulu, sounds like the bf is going really well, I'm so pleased for you! Yep get that supply up and go out for some well deserved child free fun!
Kass yay for that tooth popping through. Hopefully Annabelle is a bit happier now.
Ash yay for your 21st coming up! OMG you make me feel so old.
Tan glad you enjoyed your shopping, I love Ikea! Pity its not really close to me, actually that's probably a good thing or else I'd be there all the time.
My poor chickie is not happy. Went to the doctors yesterday and she has an ear and throat infection. Not much sleep happening in this household and I'm also getting a sore throat too :(
Gotta go, little miss is upset again.
Kass - Glad to hear from you hun! How are your poppets teeth going? Still causing her grief??
Lulu- :cheer: for your milk supply mama! That is great and definately start stocking up so you can have a well deserved break!! I got the red Sports and Im glad to hear it is good!! The Vibe does look pretty cool though! How do you have your car seats set up hun?? We are getting a capsule from a close friend and Izzy will stay in her S & S Premier, but wondering how you set them up? One at each window? Which one do you put behind the passenger? Simple questions but its seems so complicated! Haha!
Lis - sorry to hear Elena isn't well. :( Poor little thing. They are just awful aren't they. Hope she gets better very soon.
Ash - how exciting to be looking forward to you 21st hun! You make me feel old though - Im 32 this month! :) Sounds like you will have an absolute ball!
D - I can't believe Im nearly in my 3rd trimester! I did this with Izzy too though, I got to here and thought OMG I still have 3 mths to go! How am I going to hang out that long, my ribs already feel squished because I am so big already.... ahhhhhh well, I did it before and will make it through this time round! How is the painting going??
Dan - :crossfingers: for you in the TWW hun. Pretzelling everything I have that this is the cycle for you babe. How is your gorgeous girl going???
Shell - Have you recovered from the show! Your pics are great on FB hun!!!! Looks like the kids had an abosolute ball!!
Well we just got back from meeting and booking our doula!!!!!!! Whoo hooo! I am SOOOOOO excited and feeling really good about it all!!! I felt so comfortable right off with her (Funny that!) and just know that she will be a great support for both DH and I in our fight (I mean quest ;) ) for a VBAC!!!!!!!! :hooray: I also got a VBA Cbook from Sarah today and a few other bits and pieces so even if I end up in c/s again I will literally know that I have rad every possible book, have watched every DVD, have exercised and hired a support person and know that there is physically nothing else I could do!!!
Off to do my yoga! Have a great day all!
Lis - so sorry Elena's not well (and you're getting it too). Sending lots of healthy chicken soup vibes to you both!
Tan - I wanted to leave Izzy rear facing but it just didn't work unfortunately so she is front facing behind the driver. Elena is in a capsule behind the passenger seat. I have a very big car so was hoping Izzy could stay rear facing in the middle with Elena on the side but there just wasn't room. It was only just too wide though having the seats side by side so if your Izzy's seat is narrower than my Izzy's (S&S Meridien), then you might get lucky. It would be so much more convenient to have them right next to each other so the spare passenger seat was next to the door - very amusing watching my 75 year old father trying to climb over Izzy to get into the middle seat!!! Great news about the doula. Sounds like you're doing absolutely everything you can to ensure that VBAC.
Mmmmm that is my dilemma too.... we are wondering about changing Izzy around now - she is still rear-facing in the middle although she is light her legs are quite crunched up.. as I told DH though, sounds awful but I'd rather her legs get injured than her neck, but I really think it might be time.... Will have to try out the capsule when we get it - we have a Subaru Forester so it is wide but not huge. Thanks hun!
I feel exactly the same way as you - far rather she was in hospital with a couple of broken legs than a broken neck (not that I want her there at all of course). To have her rear facing though my pregnant belly was literally pushing through the steering wheel. Even without a big belly, I would still be too close to the steering wheel for comfort or safety, and DH could never drive. Hope it works for you.
Hey ladies Annabelle is still rear facing, I agree with the leg breaking factor ;)
But I think the bigger they get the harder to keep them rear facing it will be. As I wouldn't want the car trip everywhere to be uncomfy for her
Hi everyone,
It's been awhile so I won't attempt personals as there is so much to catch up on! Hope all the bubbas are recovering from the teething and sickness. We have had much of the same here, a virus this week and teething last week. Dan, that teething for livvy has been the same that Julian has had to a T. Glad to hear Elena is growing well. Good luck to those trying to get pregnant!
Has everyone gone to 1 daytime nap or starting too? That's what is happening here much to my sadness! Apart from that, Julian is making me laugh with his antics and many words 'no' 'dindin' 'home' 'why' 'yes'' and his constant babble!
Anyway i better head off and get some work done!! xox
