Yep. I remember them too as if they were yesterday. Oh yeah. It was. Ha ha
It is really tough in those early weeks when you feel as if you get no sleep and no time without your new little bub constantly attached to you. You're right - it does go past so fast. I just feels like it lasts 7 yearsI can only tell you what I know you should do, even though I'm completely incapable of doing it myself - ignore everything but James and Izzy. Housework, cooking, washing etc - get someone else to do them and just rest as much as you can.
I can't believe what Izzy is doing lately. Her comprehension is just incredible and she is such a creature of routine. She comes downstairs in the mornings and when you tell her her crumpet is nearly ready she goes and gets her chair, wheels it around to where it needs to be, climbs in, does up the strap and sits and waits. Amazing. She made her bed this morning! DH went to pick her up and her cot was neatly made. She also now goes to the cupboard door where I have the change table set up when she has done a poo so I'm wondering if she is ready to start toilet training. Is anyone else considering starting soon? I know if it doesn't work I can just leave it and try again down the track but it seems really early.
Anyway, better go. Off to get my hair cut and coloured today. Going back to my old hairdresser who now that she has kids works a couple of days from home. Its a bit of a trek but I'm really looking forward to it.
