Oh Tan, I remember those days - I brought a hug a bub because the first few weeks I found I couldnt do anything with Angus - like when I went to cook dinner he would scream. So with 2 other littlies, was easier to have him strapped to me and he slept! I got heaps done and he loved it!! Have you got a wrap or baby carrier?? Not sure how it would be though following c/section?? Anyway, good luck, hope he settles for you into some sort of a routine!! xx

Yep. I remember them too as if they were yesterday. Oh yeah. It was. Ha ha

It is really tough in those early weeks when you feel as if you get no sleep and no time without your new little bub constantly attached to you. You're right - it does go past so fast. I just feels like it lasts 7 years I can only tell you what I know you should do, even though I'm completely incapable of doing it myself - ignore everything but James and Izzy. Housework, cooking, washing etc - get someone else to do them and just rest as much as you can.

I can't believe what Izzy is doing lately. Her comprehension is just incredible and she is such a creature of routine. She comes downstairs in the mornings and when you tell her her crumpet is nearly ready she goes and gets her chair, wheels it around to where it needs to be, climbs in, does up the strap and sits and waits. Amazing. She made her bed this morning! DH went to pick her up and her cot was neatly made. She also now goes to the cupboard door where I have the change table set up when she has done a poo so I'm wondering if she is ready to start toilet training. Is anyone else considering starting soon? I know if it doesn't work I can just leave it and try again down the track but it seems really early.

Anyway, better go. Off to get my hair cut and coloured today. Going back to my old hairdresser who now that she has kids works a couple of days from home. Its a bit of a trek but I'm really looking forward to it.

Wishing all preggie ladies bucket-free days Enjoy your babymoon Tan. Shell - I hope your kids are all feeling a lot better. Hope everyone else has a great day too.

Lulu - funny you should mention TT. Angus has been telling me the last few weeks when he has done a poo - and also when he gets into bath he always does a wee - but he holds his doodie and says mum wee and does it!! Is a crack up!! I brought him some undies and he loves running around in them (outside that is!!). It is so hot here he hates wearing nappies. I am always finding him naked - he is so quick getting his gear off!! I am scared he is going to poo on the lounge or something though, so jocks are for outside only!!! DH wants me to get a potty but I hate them. Dont think i could empty it without vomiting (says the nurse hahaha) The girls just had the step on toilet seat, so I guess I have to try and get him to stand at toilet!!! I am not used to boys!!! Hmm, might get a ping pong ball, heard that is good for aiming at for little boys!!!

Anyway, Angus just woke up, betta go, all 3 kids are sick now - yay. xx

    Hi all!

Tan - I love the pics of James, he is one good looking bub! Izzy (Cissy) sounds adorable! I have a vague recollection of those early sleepless days lol! Take care of yourself and make sure you get some rest when James and Izzy are (easier said than done I'm sure).

Lulu - yay for getting your hair done! I'm constantly amazed at Ellie's comprehension too. Also a creature of routine here too - every morning after her nappy change she asks for her porridge and while I'm making it she puts on a bib and gets herself a spoon. Very cute! Hhhmmm maybe you could get Izzy to make your bed too lol!

Shell - hope your kids are feeling better soon, can't imagine what its like having 3 sick kids, I think its bad enough with one!

Dan and D - hope you pg ladies are feeling ok and that the dreaded m/s isn't too bad.

Well speaking of TT I've been wondering when to start too. Ellie can tell me before she does a poo. We have been given a potty so thinking I might give it a go this summer. I think I will wait until we are settled in our new house first and then try. Shell if you do use a potty a little hint I was told is to put a bit of water in the bottom - makes cleaning up a lot easier!

Well better be going, hello to everyone I missed and hope you are all well!

That's very cute Shell. I can't leave Izzy without something covering her nappy or else its off in 3 seconds too. Don't think I'll ever forget the day I walked in to see her with a bright orange nappy on her head standing next to a puddle of wee!

Lis - definitely a good idea to wait until you've moved. It would be horrible for Elena to have the frustration of going backwards with her TT when she moves to a new environment.

I think I'll probably try the toilet seat too. I think I have to TBH - can't exactly leave a potty sitting around that I might overlook Izzy has used when Elena is crawling around. Ewwwwww.

Lulu, exactly, I have friends who would always have a potty laying around with *stuff* in it, and when Angus was crawling he would find it Gross, hence to say we never visited often.

My little man has had fevers all night and a snotty nose. Middle DD has a horrific cough, but Dr assures me it is viral????? It is such a wet, noisy cough, don't understand how it is viral?? Anyway, if she continues think we will be going to a dif Dr just to check. She always gets chest infections, so I am pretty sure it is headed that way!

    Have a nice day everyone!!

Eeeewwwww why would you leave a 'used' potty lying around???

Bummer Shell, you're poor kids. Might be a good idea to get a second opinion on your DD, that sounds nasty.

Lulu - yep will wait until we move before attempting TT. Part of me thinks that she is still too young? Oh well, will play it by ear and might run it by our nurse at Ellie's 18 month checkup.

Gotta go get some lunch, I'm starving. Have a good day all!

I thought I'd do the same thing - Iz's checkup is in a couple of weeks. I just got her up from a nap and brought her downstairs naked (Ellie screaming her head off). She ran around with no clothes on for a bit then went into the kitchen, did a wee and then started to cry while trying to tippee toe out of it. I worry that she's too young too, but she's such a bright little thing (don't all parents think that about their pride and joy!!), and she really is giving all the signs "they" say you have to watch for. Still, like I said the worst that happens is we give it a go and if it seems like its too early we'll just wait a bit longer.

Shell - I hope your kids get better soon. Poor little DD.

OMG WHAT A FANTASTIC DAY WE ARE HAVING!!!!!

It started with Olivia sleeping through the night, followed up by our dating scan in which we saw our little bubba's heartbeat and has just finished off with DH getting a new job with more money . And to top it off the sun is shining and I don't have to go to work!!!

D - Hope your m/s is settling down and little man is giving you some time to rest during the day.

Tan - How the new mummy of two travelling?? Hope your gorgeous littles are being good for you and you are making a speedy recovery.

Lulu - OMG Lizzy sounds so gorgeous. You can always start TT and if Iz doesn't respond you can stop. I can't believe she is counting backwards. She really is so clever!!! Is Iz still in a cot?

Sangie - When is the big move hapening? Have you got someone to look after El when you move? It was a nightmare moving with Livvy when she was one .

Shell - How are your kids feeling? Hopefully everyone is starting to feel better.

Hi to Ash, Sarah, Kirsten, Lee and anyother mummy I might have missed.

I can't remember who asked about TT but we have kinda started introducing the potty to Olivia. Each night before her bath she sits on her potty. We have had one wee in it so she got to take it to the toilet and flush the button. She's keen on the button flushing but no the weeing. Dave and I have started talking about poo's and wee's in the toilet. Oh the wonderful conversations we have as parents. Who would have thought we'd be doing this

Ok I better go and get livvy her icy pole while we go and play outside. I LOVE THIS WEATHER!!!

    Chat soon gorgeous ladies.

YAY Dan, when it rains it pours hey? Congrats on the great scan and to your DH on his job! We've been having some poos and wees conversations too lol! Ellie also says 'undies' and points them out everywhere she sees them lol!

D hope your m/s eases off soon, how is Mason going?

Lulu - lol at peeing on kitchen floor!

Shell hope you guys are on the mend!

Tan hope all is well with your gorgeous babies and that you are making good recovery, thinking of you often xxxx

AFM well we are still at least a couple of weeks from moving, dealing with tradesmen has been very frustrating and the whole process is taking much longer than it should! Oh well guess that's to be expected. The electrician is finally finished and the tiler should be finished next week although I've heard that before! Then its just paint and carpet!

Better go, sorry to those I missed, all has gone quiet so wondering if Ellie is up to no good!
    Have a lovely Friday all!

Will BBL but just had to give you all a laugh . . .

Out shopping with the girls and Mum today. Izzy was sitting in the trolley seat "holding" my handbag for me. The top flap folds over and press-studs down and then is zipped. She undid all that and started waving around my tampon. Yep. Lovely. I managed to get it off her, had a laugh with Mum about it and continued on. A bit later I was talking to a sales person when Mum started cracking up - Izzy now had a handful of tampons and was throwing them up in the air giggling with glee. Definitely one of those very embarrassing moments at the hands of our children!!

Lulu - Thanks for the laugh lovely!

Sangie - Hope the next few weeks go super fast for you so you guys can move in lovely!

Dan and D - for scans - isn't that little heartbeat the BEST sound in the whole world!!!!
and hooray for Livvy sleeping Dan!

Shell - for Angus - I hope he gets better really fast babe.

to all I have missed - that's all I can do for now!
We are doing well - I have great days and really blue days that usually coincide with only a few hours sleep- I really don't do no sleep very well at all ( who does!) but am getting there. Our little man is feeding pretty well but we have some attachment issues and he is GULPING air at times - then gets tummy pain, which wakes him up and then he will only sleep on us. He also vomits a little which we never had with Izzy and will wake up with wet sheets around his head and the hiccups. Lots of little things to learn again! DH loves the HAB my mum made and walks around like a proud pregnant man with it on! We have ventured out a few times, to the shops and to Donny (Lis - I am a bit obsessed!) I overdid it a bit and get a bit tired of people staring at me walking like a granny! The P & T's is awesome and James loves being in the bottom and I think the swaying of the seat puts him to sleep really well!!
Thats all for now - gotta have a shower and take my poppet off DH's hands for 20 mins! Miss you all!

ETA- Forgot to mention - we will try TT this summer too. I am going to roll up our rug and let her run free with knickers on I think! WIll see how we go - she makes grunting noises after she's pooed so has some idea!

LOL Lulu that is hilarious Could have been worse - she could have been putting them in her mouth or up her nose!

Tan - glad to hear that you have been getting out and about. Last time I went to Donny it was still a construction zone - I should go check it out! Ellie used to gulp as well and get really bad wind - I found putting her on a tummy after a feed helped to get the air up. Eventually she stopped doing it - hang in there hun, he will get the hang of it I'm sure.

Hope you are all having a great weekend. Ellie and I went to the salon yesterday and had our hair cut together - she was very well behaved and loved the massage chairs lol! Lucky for us my sister works there so we were pampered for very little $$$. Pity its not so close to home or else I'd be there all the time.

Well gotta run, heading out to visit my bro and SIL soon........take care all xxx

Lis - how are the renos going? I hope they're finished (or very close). Its a nightmare waiting on tradesmen to get their act together. At least you'll be settled in your lovely new house before Christmas.

Tan - how are things going with your gorgeous two? I saw your other post about Izzy being sick. I hope she's a lot better. I know what you mean about relearning - its amazing how quickly you forget isn't it. I've looking at solids for Elena and can't remember for the life of me what I fed Izzy when!

Dan - how did your scan go? I hope you're feeling well. Chats about wees and poos are lovely aren't they. Long gone are the days of whispering sweet nothings in your lover's ear

Elena is well and truly crawling properly now. No more commando crawling - up on her knees and off. I've spent the last few days dragging her back from the stereo, cds, tv etc. She tries to follow Izzy constantly. Izzy is loving the attention and now spends a lot of time racing over and giving Elena huge cuddles - its so cute. They're both teething, Elena has a throat infection and Izzy is still convered with a horrible fungal rash that she's had for weeks so they're a bit out of sorts. Not too bad if its only one of them upset at one time but more and more often it seems to be that they both start screaming. Not sure how but my PND actually seems to be settling down through all this - go figure - so that's a blessing.

Anyway, best go think about dinner for me and DH. Hope all tots, new bubs and cooking bubs are happy and healthy, and mums are getting some rest

Lulu - seriously I can't believe Elena is crawling. That is crazy, seems like you just had her!!! Bet you have a hectic crazy house!! Well, I spose mine is prob the same!!

Tan - Izzy any better? Hope the rest of you don't get it. Yuck, I hate gastro. Nothing worse than seeing the littlies suffer either.

Kass glad the new house is great!!!

D and Dan - have you both had scans???

Lis - so when do you move in Hope it is soon and you sorted out those tradies!!

As for us, still snotty kids here. Doesn't seem to want to let up!!! Have used about 4 boxes of tissues the last fortnight, have resorted to washers and cloth flats for noses instead!! It is so hot here atm, glad we have a pool!!! Although since the kids have been sick we havent been in, but think this arve we might get in there!! Hope everyone is well xxx
