Tan-If you know her "poo" face and teach her all about her bum it won't take long...Blake grabs his butt and says "Bummmm" and runs to the toilet and it only took about 2 weeks of coaxing. He peed on the floor next to the toilet after his poo this morning so got a long way to go there lol Blake gets sick often too, I don't know whether it's normal but the docs don't seem to concerned even though I certainly am. Any social situstion is going to expose them, all it takes is one little germy! How is your spunky little man going too??
Lis-Blake is about the same weight as Ellie, you go girl! Healthy little munchkin you have growing there! I must get Blake's immunisations I have completely forgotten!
Shell-I hear ya on the full on factor, it's amazing how they can hurt themselves so damn quickly! A day off for yourself sounds fantastic, have you looked into family day care for one day??
Cass-That cubby sounds great, how much is that going to set you back if you don't mind me asking? We need to replace ours as it's a hazard but the kids love it...
Well Blake's done his poo's for 6 days straight in the toilet, I am so proud of him! He has his Christmas Concert at daycare tomorrow, where they do songs and see santa etc, it's going to be great! My mum, sister, Scott and his parents will be there too, as well as Dave...pity Lulu is with her mum so she can't come
Lis - yaaaaay for being in your new home. I don't envy you the unpacking though. God I hate moving. I hope it goes quickly and easily for you. I'll bet that you buy even more for Ellie than I've done for my girls - nothing like last minute, under pressure shopping when you just start throwing things into the trolley without really paying attention!!
Tan - I don't think its unusual for some kids to be sick a lot. I think at this age you're either really lucky and have a child that doesn't get sick at all, or you have the one that seems to get everything there is going. A GF of mine's little girl has gastro so often and if there's the slightest thing going around she gets it. I hope Izzy's cold passes quickly - a girl can't be not feeling her best for Santa!!
Ash - great to hear that your life is going so well. I'm jealous of poos in the toilet too. Izzy knows what is going on, comes to tell me before and after, but she just won't do anything in the toilet yet. Like Tan, I'm waiting for Christmas when DH is around so we can put in a really serious effort. I'm also going to use the break to try to get Ellie going to bed while she's still awake. And I'm going to wash all the windows. And mulch the garden. And catch up with some friends. Hmmm. All in 4 days!! I'm very jealous of Blake and Ellie's weight too - I would kill to have an extra kg or two on Izzy so that clothes fit her! She is still in 0s for a lot of bottoms and anything that's a 1 has to have an adjustable waist so it doesn't slide down over her non-existent bottom. God help me when she's in knickers not nappies - there'll really be nothing left to hold her clothes on.
Shell - you have a dam don't you? That must be really worrying with the kids. I hope you get Angus a place at daycare. I have a day off today (DH is looking after the kids so I can finish off Christmas shopping). I can't wait. Angus looks so grown up in your signature photo - where did our babies go? I love those trolley seats. Izzy would much rather sit in a trolley than in a pram. I want to get a double umbrella stroller - light weight, easy to use and hopefully they'll both stay in happy for long enough for me to get some things done!
Kass - you just have to hope you have a boy next time so that you can get different presents, although at this age they're all pretty unisex I guess. Annabelle's cubby house sounds fantastic.
Well, Iz & El might not be getting a cubby from gran and grandad after all. My folks got it in Target's July toy sale. They were supposed to start paying for it in September and then pick it up any time before Christmas Eve. Well, its all paid off and they went to arrange pick up only to be told that they're not even in yet, Target has no idea when they will be in and no, they won't call them when they do come in because they're "too busy". No grovelling apology. No real idea of when they can expect it. Now, like I said, my folks have bought heaps of stuff for the girls, but if this was a gift for kids from a family where finances were really tight and it was ALL the kids were getting, that's pretty unacceptable. My step-dad is going to start yelling come Monday if he doesn't get a more acceptable response from them. Very bad customer service.
Anyway, like I said I'm shopping today. I can't wait. Shhhhh, but I'm going to take my book with me and if I get done shopping I'm going to sit down in a cafe somewhere, drink a cappuccino without having to fight two sets of hands away from it, eat a piece of cake without having to stop one girl grabbing the fork and trying to stab her sister with it, and just generally enjoy the peace and quiet. I really hope I finish shopping early! Have a great day ladies.
Just a quickie - kass, try e-bay for a trampoline! I got my kids one for christmas, the biggest one you can get - 16ft, delivered to my door for $530. It took only about a week to arrive from Sydney to Townsville. Is the round one with a net etc and has a warranty also. OK, BBL, my boy is whinging, needs to go to bed xx
Shell I bet your kids will love the trampoline!! I had one as a child and I remember spending so much time jumping on it!
Lulu how did your shopping trip go? I hope you made time for that coffee. Gggrrrr at Target, what shocking customer service. I hope it all gets sorted out so that your girls are the proud new owners of a cubby house!
Kass best of luck this month hun! A new year BFP would be awesome!
Dan how are you going hun? Hope that Livvy has settled down for you.
Tan that pic of your Izzy and James is so cute! How is Izzy's cold?
Ash yay at Blake's concert, I bet it was adorable!
Danni how is your prince going? Are you gonna find out the sex of #2?
Well I finally started my xmas shopping! Have a lot more to do though and not going to have time until the end of the week. Unfortunately I'm going to have to battle the crowds. I'm dragging DH with me and he said he's gonna use his elbows if necessary lol! Have you all had photos with Santa? Ellie is happy to wave at santa from a distance but won't get too close. I think I'm going to have to be in the photo this year!
Quick one from me. Just came back from a fairly disastrous trip to Santa's knee. I was worried Elena wouldn't sit for even a second - she is such a Mummy's girl and only tolerates people other than me holding her if (A) she can't see me and (B) she knows them really well. Surprisingly she wasn't too bad but Izzy was not a happy camper. We got the very first photo they took - shows Izzy with her arms up and an expression on her face that could be taken as a smile (unless you were there!) and Elena is lying in Santa's arms looking sleeping. Geez what a disaster though. Santa was very good with them - we obviously didn't fight Izzy on it. He said about 90% of kids around Iz's age won't be in it. Oh well. There's always next year for a great Santa photo, or the year after . . .
Do they still do them AFTER xmas day? The lines are so huge atm.... I can't stand for too long.
We started mason at swimming lessons and he was so scared. Poor lil mite. Lets hope he gets better! And good on DH for taking him and giving me a rest
Mason finally got his last eye tooth! So a full set of teeth here THANK GOD!
He is also sleeping really well at night now.
He has to go in his own room soon and I am so scared about letting him go. I don't know how IM gunna do it
Im feeling ok now.Getting very big very quickly though. Have our scan on 9th Jan or 12th Jan and hoping we can find out the sex. Im pretty sure I'll have another one two weeks later and hoping that can confirm sex too.
