We got a similar herbal mixture from our chemist, doesn't do anything and everyone swears by it. Xavier is screaming 6 hours a day straining to poo. I have tried Gaviscon and a couple of formula bottles on him and it didnt seem any different than BM so I don't know what it is. I just don't want to go to the Dr just to be told he will grow out of it.
Big hellos, I can't do personals right now, I have a list of housework to get done and I am determined to finish it before I go flat. TTYL!!
-
Danni glad all is well with J! Can't wait to find out his name!
Sarah I really feel for you. I hope you find something that works. Have you been keeping a food diary? I did that with Elena and by process of elimination to my diet she improved so much.
Kass don't worry what other people think hun, people will always have an opinion. Trust me, looking young is a great thing which you will appreciate a lot as you get older! How are you feeling?
Ash you're so sweet! I don't do FB or msn as I just don't have much time for the puter these days. Plus I spend so much time on the puter for work that I get over it!
Shell hope all is well with you guys!
We had yucky thick smoke at our place for most of the weekend with the Yarra Glen fires only 30 mins from us. Very scary. If I wasn't pg I'd be donating blood in a flash. On a much better note, have an OB appointment on Friday and will get a referral for my first scan, can't wait! Gotta go chicks, take care xxxxx
-
Sorry Sarah... i hope you guys can work out a way to get some relief. DOnt be scared to ask for help. Ask anyone and everyone xxx
Sangie, how exciting about your scan! I too would give blood if I could too. Just feel very helpless with no blood or money to give.
-
Popping in very briefly - I miss my girls, it's quiet in here ladies. :( I was thinking about you all and how 2 years ago we were getting ready for our gorgeous arrivals and how special that time was... Waaah. Hope you are all well - we are great, izzy is getting close to being super ready to TT - she's saying wee wee and taking her nappy off! She also is going through the "naming explosion" I read about in toddler tactics! Copies every word and is just the biggest chatterbox. We doa bit of time out but she bawls and says sorry as soon as I put her there so it's a bit hard!
James is gorgeous, growing so fast already - 4 mths today girls. My babies are getting so big. Ok I'm off - just wanted to pop in and say hi and that I am still thinking about you all alot. to you all and your kidlets.
-
Yay on Izzy being ready for TT! It's oh so much easier than lugging nappies and wipes around the place, even though you have to for J man at the moment anyway. Blake gets timeout too but we put him in his room...he hates it and cries but is super duper sorry when he comes out.
Omg, J is 4 months already? Where the hell does time go? He's so adorable I just wanna eat him up!
Well Blake's fully TTed now, except overnight. I'm one proud mumma!
I'm lurking around and posting a bit more these days....I've gotten rid of FB as it was causing dramas in my relationship, so I'm looking for something in BB again :)
Hope everyone is doing well and is just quiet due to being busy.
(Like my new sig?)
-
Hey ladies! I'm still here but just been super busy!
Tan so lovely to hear from you. YAY for almost TT. Ellie sits on the potty but is yet to do anything in it lol! Wow can't believe James is 4 months already. We haven't done any time out yet. I'm lucky so far in that Ellie is so well behaved and obedient, I'm sure that will change at some stage though.
Ash congrats on having Blake TT, that is fantastic! Does he use a potty or the toilet?
Sarah hope you are travelling along ok with your boys.
Danni hey gorgeous how are you doing?
Kass hope you are feeling well and have none of the dreaded m/s.
Hello Dan if you are around!
AFM been really busy with work and DH has been away for the last week. It's hard being a single mum and pg too! Ellie is such a good girl though that I shouldn't complain. Her language has also taken off again and she is now reciting nursery rhymes and singing short songs all on her own. She even does the actions to 'twinkle twinkle litte star' and applauds herself when she's done - so cute! I had a mini scan at my OB appointment last week and was so excited to see a strong hb and little legs kicking around. Have my 12 week scan next week!
Well better fly and get some more work done, talk more soon xxxxx
-
Lis-Wow on your scan, that's fantastic!! Can't wait to hear how the 12 weeker goes. Ellie sounds so advanced with her speech, how precious! Blakey does the actions to Twinkle Twinkle and he does try to sing it but it's just babble. Blake uses the toilet, but with a child seat aswell. In my opinion, a potty is just making more work for yourself, as you then have to wean them off this and onto the toilet.
-
Yeah Ash but Ellie seems a bit intimidated by the big toilet. The seat on our potty can actually also go on the toilet so I'm hoping that it won't be too bad of a transition if she is using the same seat. I don't think she is quite ready yet - she always tells me when she is about to poop but not for wee yet so I'm just happy that she'll sit there and get used to it for now!
How to Blake and Lulu get along? Your ticker photo is so cute, he's such a spunky boy!
-
-
Lis- Oh that's a good idea of having a potty in which the seat comes off onto the toilet, that would make the transition much easier. Blake and Lulu act like any almost 3 and almost 2 year old lol They love each other and are forever giving each other cuddles, but it turns into fighting most of the time lol They usually share well together but sometimes the other had THE toy and all hell breaks loose. They share the same routine so it's quite structured, it has to be with 2.
-
Hey guys, Im here! I always forget about this thread unless I get a notification!
Good to have you back Ash! And good to see you are still popping in Tan!
-
**** Danni you are almost 6 months pregnant. Seems like FOREVER since I was 24 weeks with Blake but still so fresh in my mind.
-
Hey lovly ladies!
Ash- I love your DSD name! How cute!
Tan-Pleasssssssssssse come back!:(
Dan&livvy-Pleassssssssssse come back! :(
Lovly ladies still here.......................COME BACK!!!
-
Oh woman, you just made me look at my ticker and noticed 8 days til its double figures! :confetti:
I sat next to a woman today in the doctors who must have been your twin.I kept having to double check it wasn;t you!
-
Kass-It's a very cute name, not something I'd choose but it suits her!
Danni-Omg you aren't the first person to say I have a twin out there. Apparently I'm very common looking LOL Holy cr@p almost in double digits WOWSERS I'm getting excited...not to self, start saving for air fare!!!
WELL Blake woke up twice last night, but to go to the toilet! He had a dry night wahooo!! I'm so amazed at his progress, it's actually a bit scary!
OMG!! The first lot of birthdays are just over 6 weeks away...Mason, then Blake, then all the May bubbas. They are TWO, where the heck did that go?!
-
Yeah I can't believe our tots are going to be 2 soon! So who's having a birthday party?
We had a big 1st birthday last year so just going to keep it small this year with close family and friends. Elena's birthday is on a saturday so we're thinking of putting on an afternoon tea. She is obsessed with Elmo so that might be the theme!
Yikes Danni can't believe how far along you are!
Kass I don't think those lovely ladies are coming back :(
Ash yay at Blake going to the loo, what a clever boy you have there!
Shell are you still here hun, please don't tell me you've left too?
Have my NT scan tomorrow so will pop in and let you all know how it goes, I can't wait to see this little munchkin!
-
Ash- How did you do it? Really I want to no and get started :)
Sangie- I do miss them :( I really want to know how Dan's pregnancy is going?
-
 Kass. We are good hun - I still lurk, trying not too because I get too jacked off around here. Less and less these days.
J is WONDERFUL - growing sooo fast! Went to the zoo the other day - Izzy LOVES the fudders (Butterflies) so I'm thinking that her 2nd b'day will be a Garden Creatures party! :)
Love to you all I miss you too - maybe we should start an email loop!
-
Hi everyone,
Just thought I would pop in and say a huge HI!!!!
Kass - How's the pg treating you. Livvy loves coming and rubbing my belly and looking at the ultrasound photos. Are you starting to feel better about your and Annabelle's connection?
Sangie - Best of luck with your scan tomorrow. I'm sure your bubba is going to be perfect and you're going to love seeing bubby. An elmo party sounds fantastic. I have no idea what I'm going to do for Livvy. We'll have a joint party again. I'll do this for a few more years until she understands it better plus hopefully it will distract from it being my 30th. We'll probably do the same kind of thing as you. Lunch/arvo tea at home.
D - How you feeling gorgeous? Getting the nursery all organised? Have you decided if you are going to move M into his own room or not?
Ash - I'm so jealous that Blake is toilet trained. Olivia isn't even close to it. Looks like next summer it will be unless she decides she wants to earlier.
Tan - Hope Izzy is feeling better soon? Another cold or something a little more?? How is James going?
Shell - Hope everything is going well for you.
As for us nothing real exciting going on. Like all the other todders Livvy is growing up so damn quickly I just can't keep up with her. She is finally starting to get clear words at long last. She has always been babbling but no really clear words. I have to admit this is a huge relief as I was really starting to worry. She has settled really well into her bed and just loves it. We have taken the cot out of her room and put it in the nursery and she couldn't care less. We are having huge problems with her biting when she doesn't get her own way or what she wants. Time out doesn't seem to be helping but we'll perserve and stick with it. Fingers crossed she grows out of it soon. She is back at swimming and loving it if she gets to swim with daddy, mummy not so much, LOL!!! Apart from that she is just an active gorgeous little toddler filling my days with chasing her around, LOL!! I am loving it I must admit!!!
This pg is going really slowly!! I guess cause we already have everything and it is already dumped in the nursery. I'm getting quite a belly on me and no-one can believe I'm only 23 weeks. I think I'm going to have another biggie. Our 20 week scan went brilliantly and bubba is growing perfectly and is healthy YAY!!!! We didn't find out the sex but the baby did a leg spread and I'm positive I didn't see anything but Dave swears he saw some dangling bits. God we have no idea what we were looking it, LOL!! I keep watching it to see if I can pick but nope not getting any closer, LOL!! We have started talking about names but we aren't getting very far at all. This poor little bugger isn't going to have a name anytime soon. Thank God we still have heaps of time.
I'm going shopping for some curtains (hopefully cheap ones :crossfingers:) because our ducted heating is getting put in tomorrow so I need to help it out a little bit and cover our huge windows with some half decent window coverings but the budget isn't huge.
On a side note do you guys use a budget at all? I've got all our expenses and income written down but I don't know how to implement it and stick to it. How do I get my grocery bill down too? I struggle especially since I'm an average cook ans struggle to make things from scratch. I always seem to have forgotten something. We are incredibly lucky that our income exceeds our expenses but I want to save as much as we possibly can. Any tips ladies? I don't know what I'm doing wrong .
I had better go and do some housework. The sheets needs to be changed desperately and I have to rewash all my clothes on the lines as smoke haze came over last night and it all stinks of smoke now, bugger!! Looks like the tumble dryer
I'll pop in a bit more and avoid the other threads.
Have a great day ladies,
Dan.
-
That turned out to be a novel, LOL!! The only thing I didn't talk about was the colour of my knickers, LOL!!
They're white by the way ;)
-
Aw Tan and Dan its wonderful to hear from you!!!!!
Tan-James seems asthough he's growing so quick! Love checking out your fb pics! I like your idea with the email groupy thing ;)
Dan- Annabelle and I are sooooooooo close this is what Im scared to loose. Im still scared :( I cant believe how quick your pg is going!!!! Livvy sounds like she's getting better at speaking and growing up, big bed girl :(
Now where's lulu?
-
I would not expect Lulu back after the way she was treated in another thread. They were absolutely appauling. I honestly don't think Lulu will be back.
-
-
Hey guys,
Ash, I'm so proud of Blake! That is so awesome. I'm not even gunna try with Mason until later in the year. Im toolazy
Dan, good to hear from you. Im also huge and get embarrassed when people ask how long to go. Trying to find a nice dress for my sister's engagement is proving to be impossible too!
Nope, Mason has decided to stay in my room.Ok Ok Ok, maybe it was ME who decided.
I will have both boys in my room. I have to admit I am happy about that now, but will wait and see how it works out.
So nope, no nursery set up for J. He will have the basinette for the first few months next to my bed, then we will put him in Masons cot, then move Mason into a big bed. Maybe then into their own rooms? Not sure yet! Depends if we can all fit or not ;)
On Saturday I am finally picking up J's drawers which have arrived.I can't wait to go through all Mason's boxes of newborn clothes and unpack them all into the drawers. AND I get more space in the wardrobe! Yay
Good luck today with your scan Lis!
Great to have you pop in Tan ;)
And happy 2 months Kass! xx
-
Hands up for a group email thingy however that would work!! I too am sick of the crap that goes on in this forum. I now just stay away from threads that have controversy, I don't read them and definitly don't post in them anymore.
Dan, I hear you on the budget thing, I don't get much money but for me, once I have it, I need to spend it. I would like to know how to stop that. If you are after cheapish floor to ceiling curtains, look at Ikea for the panel curtain system. They can attach at the wall or ceiling and the curtains are 300cm long and you can make them the length you need. I have floor to ceiling windows and I need curtains and they are what I am looking at, I think they are going to cost under $200 each window.
Kass I know what you mean about being worried about the bond after bub is born. My heart breaks everytime I am feeding X and Noah wants something from me and I have to say no. The look he gives me is heartbreaking. I try to give him as much attention as possible but X is so demanding of my time.
Tan, I hope Izzy is feeling better! I saw your pics of the zoo, James looks so big now!
Sangie, eeeks!!! Is it that time already? Not our babies  I don't know what I am doing for Noahs b-day yet, it has just approached too quickly. Have fun at your scan tomorrow!
Well that is it for personals from me I am afraid, so much to do and so little time and energy. Does anyone use twitter? I think I might set up an account and see how it all works, I am a bit behind with things like that
Hmmm so Noah..... Loves cars, books, trains. He loves his new sandpit, I can hardly keep him indoors anymore. He is about 88cm tall and I am guessing maybe 11kg, I might weigh him later, he is very skinny anyway. He has a huge vocabulary and repeats everything we say. He has taken up saying sh*t when things go wrong, cool at things he likes and nup when saying no, you can tell I am his biggest influence  Well that is all I have time for, X has just filled his pants which is an every 3 day occasion, so when it happens I have to bring out several wipes and a plastic sheet and new change of clothes
Hope everyone else is well!!
-
Lis-Yup I'm going to have a party but nothing spectacular...a few balloons, streamers, and some Cars plates, cups and hats. Can't wait to see how the NT scan goes, are you going to ask if they can see the sex??
Kas-It's really easy. Start putting Annabelle on the toilet a few times during the day, and encourage her and tell her she needs to go wee or poo in the toilet. If she's comfortable let hr sit for a while and suss it all out, she may do a wee first time and surprise you, or it may take a little while for her to understand what the word means. It may sound wierd, but if she watches you go to the loo you can tell and show her what you are doing so she has an idea. LOTS of praise is needed when she does anything in the toilet. Alot of people use pull ups but I found they didn't work, if Blake had anything nappy like on, he'd just wee in it for the sake of it. She will learn it's not comfortable to be wet. That's the first step really, once you've got her doing that I can go into more detail starting with underwear and knowing the signs etc. Hope that helps!!
Tan-Fudders omg so cute!!! Can I hire you to bake Blake a Cars cake and send it up? Or maybe too much of a logisitical nightmare?
Dan-I didn;t think Blake would be ready to start at 18 months but I'm a persistant little bugger and wanted him day trained by 2 lol looks like I'll hopefully have him fully trained by then yay! I cannot help you with a budget, I am fantastic at writing them, but shoocking at sticking to them. You sound like you're in a pretty comfy position though so just do what you're doing is my well educated advice lol For the record, my underwear are hot pink with black skulls lol
Danni-Not lazy at all, if you haven't started by June Blakey and I will show him how it's done!
Sarah-Omg Blake says sh*t all the time too now, and Lulu says crap...definitely my doing lol Blake loves all the same things, expecially disney cars...and cars in the street, cars on tv...obsessed! How's X doing?
-
I'd love to my Ash! I wish I could! but instead why don't you bake a regular rectangle cake, put some icing on it in white and black like a road and stick a few toy cars over the top! ;) Done!
-
Thats great! Thanx Ash ;) Ill get a toilet seat for her to put ontop of ours tomorrow!
-
Ash - my friend made a car cake and it was so easy. Make a rectangle for the bottom of the car and a smaller one for the top. Then you cut the top rectangle to make the top of the car curve (IYKWIM?). She then used large choc biscuits for the wheels, iced the whole thing (red of course) and did licorice sticks to outline windows/doors. Tan's idea is great too and even easier! Yes I'm going to ask if they can see sex tomorrow but I'm not counting on them telling me. It's the same clinic I went to with Ellie and back then it was their policy not to guess at the 12 week scan.
Dan- groceries are so expensive aren't they? I find it saves us money to get things in bulk and go to Aldi for some things. I get meat from bulk at the butchers and things like laundry powder/toilet paper in bulk too. Big W often have 20kg laundry powder on special and that lasts us ages. Also I meal plan and shop with a list which is a bit nannaish (sp?) but does save money. I also find Friday is the day when our local supermarket has the most specials. Oh and black knickers today
Tan - an email thing would be great hun and I'm sure Lulu would like to join too. I can ask her as I don't think she is coming in here anymore.
Kass - we have a potty with a removable lid that fits onto the toilet. Good luck with it! We tried briefly with Ellie but she's just not ready and I don't want to push it. Happy to wait a bit longer!
Sarah - has Xavier settled down? LOL at Noah saying s***. They pick up on absolutely everything now don't they.
Danni - yay for the drawers, have fun sorting through the teeny tiny clothes :D
-
Hi guys! I am still here, and try and read when I can!! I just have so much on these days I barely have 5mins to myself!! And when I do I am most likely on facebook catching up with friends there also!! Oh my God, all you preggie ones, the time is flying!!!!! So what do you mean by e-mail thing with each other????
Anyway, I really have to get dinner on, I have washing to do and have the next 2 days at work. I also have a job interview Fri and am quietly so so so nervous!!!!! It is more money though, but also more work, but fingers crossed!!!

-
Ok I think I have most emails or can get them from FB so I will email you all with my idea so I don't have to keep posting in this d@mn place! ;) If you aren't sure if I have your details just pm me!
-
Great idea for the cakes girls, it really can be done....I might bake and Dave can do the artwork cos I'm creatively retarded.
Tan-I've packed up those nappies for you, I'll send them express tomorrow so you have them for Friday.
Blake has a new movie obsession - Nemo. It's always cars first but when I say no now it' Nemo instead of a tantrum. Yay!
-
Gosh its chatty in here today!!!!
-
Thanks Tan - you know you can get me on FB
D - 24 wks - yikes!!!!!
-
