Lis - that is so gorgeous. My GF is 8 months pregnant and not having a fun time. Her 2.5 year has for a few months now stomped up to her and said "Mummy sick. Lie down". She then drags her to the couch, covers her with a blanket and puts a flannel on her forehead! So incredibly cute. Great news that your MS is under control - hopefully it will disappear for good soon.
Erin - you're so lucky your DH goes with you for needles. Mine came with me for the first time last time, and that was only because Iz needed her 18 month and Ellie her 6 months and I told him there was no way I was going to be capable of looking after two unhappy girls together. He's such a wuss though - hates to see them upset.
Tan - repeat after me "My name is Tan and I'm a bit of a weirdo" . . . :lol: I would be the same though - just nice to where they are and that they're safe.
Shell - I hope you find an airconditioner that does the job. I would be lost without mine at the moment. My girls are a bit moody as it is. I'm sure they would be diabolical if we were trying to cope with the heat without one.
Want my latest IL rant? BIL's birthday coming up and you know what we're "buying" for his present? Paying out his mobile phone contract!! ****. This is a childless couple who are both professionals. Living rent free in my SIL's house while she's overseas. I'm sorry, but birthday presents are not about paying their bills!!! It makes me so angry and its a perfect example of how stingy they are (in all ways - giving of their time, emotion, money (which is the least of it) and just general lack of thoughtfulness). I end up getting really grumpy and snapping at DH and its not his fault. Poor bugger. They just do things so differently to my family (I keep telling my parents to STOP changing their lives for me and the girls, buying them things all the time etc) and I really struggle to not lose my temper all the time.
Anyway, rant over. Off to enjoy another beautiful, scorching day in paradise. Have a lovely day everyone.

Lulu -:rofl: I know Im weird but Im a worrier! BIL got detained for having a passport that was reported STOLEN! in LA and single young guys tend to be a bit suss when travelling alone. Skyped this morining though and he is there safe and sound and the surprise went well! I got a parcel today! :hug: Will let you know how I go! :) How rude of BIL - did he ask for you to pay it off? I'd be annoyed too.

Yay for fluffy mail!! I'm glad your DH got there safe and sound. I would be worried too. And no, he didn't ask if we could pay the bill. He is my SIL's soon to be husband, so my MIL asked my SIL what to get him. We got an email from SIL last night saying that we were paying off his mobile account. If it were my brother I'd be telling him to get stuffed. I hate IL politics.

Quick question - that long bit with the HH???? Does that just fold over double inside the nappy? I didn't get an insert like that with mine! Far out I am still so clueless about all these nappies. :(
The inserts that were all separate are for the wild child. I never bought the actual HH insert because I had bought a bunch of the microfibre inserts. Then when I got the GKs I just used one of them because they're better.
And yes. The long bit just folds over itself for extra absorption. Depending on how much he wees though, you might be able to get away without the booster in the WC. Give it a go. Don't do what I did and forget the cover for it though - very unhappy girl the next morning and a very, very wet cot!!
Lulu - No way I would be paying off BIL's bill! So scary how your ILs sound like mine! For his last birthday my BIL asked everyone to give him money. Then at the restaurant he proceeded to open his presents and told my SIL that they didn't give him enough money! Then we copped it because we didn't give him money and bought a gift instead. He is so rude and I've already told DH that I'm not going to his birthday this year nor am I buying a gift. In fact I might donate some money to charity and tell him that is his present - I can just see his face now lol!
Tan - glad that Al arrived safely. I bet it was a wonderful surprise! How are you going with cloth nappies. Thinking I might buy some more. Do you have a favourite?
Lulu - I'm guessing you are using cloth for both girls. I'm thinking I should get my butt into gear and start using cloth seriously. I'm a part time user at the moment but would love to go full time when #2 arrives. Do you love the GK's? I've been doing some research and thinking of getting some to try.

I love anything with velcro! :rofl: Bumgenius, Green Kids and the HH are all fav's for me so far! I still have about 6 on the way though! Snaps just don't seem very easy and I can't seem to get tem to sit right on him. Other that that I LOVE them - wish I'd done it with Izzy now... I wash every day and it's so easy, I put a load on when they go to bed and some of them are dry by morning, most by early arvo. :)
OMG James hasn't pooed in 3 days which is fine but he just let it rip! :rofl: I thought he was a bit squirmy! Better go and see how the HH held up! :)

Just have no idea what to get so now I understand your predictament. I think I'm going to wait until this bubba is about a month or so away and see how much Liv wants to use a pram. Shell - I've been so jealous sitting her in the stinking heat thinking about your pool. Dave wants to get one but really can't afford it, unfortunately. An above ground is in our budget but he isn't really keen on one of them. How your kiddies?
Hi to all the other mums I've missed. I replied in the wrong place so I can't scroll back very far, GGGRRR!!!!!
Everything is ok here. Livvy is learning how to push mummy and daddy's button as well as her boundaries!! Cheeky little munchkin. Like I said she is getting so independant. Now that she is in her bed she even puts her to bed and gets herself up. I go with her just for me cause she certainly doesn't need me. She has dropped her morning bottle too. My little girl is growing up so damn quickly!! The transition to her bed hasn't been too bad. The first day sleep was a nightmare but I made the mistake of starting her in the bed when we had my sis and BIL staying. They dote on Liv something fierce and she knows how to play them, LOL!! She now happily goes into bed, pulls her sheets up, grabs pooh bear and lays down. So cute to watch her little routine. Last night was bad but that was because for some reason the neighbourhood was crazy busy so the dogs barked all night folowed by a storm. I slept with her for a little bit then she was fine. Fingers crossed tonight is much better. We ahve gotten her a little step so she can get in bed easily.
Ok everyone I'm off to watch a movie while I have the TV to myself for a rare change. Chat soon.
sangie- Thats sooooooooo cute! Dont you love it when they care for you and show you love like the way we have toward them since they were born :) The sil hates the fact Annabelle is the image of me as a kid. haha
Tan- How is everything going with Al gone? Is it nicer then what you thought, ahving some time with just you? Or is the bed very empty?
Erin- I think the rest of Clints family (other then his sister) realise they never see us and to not push us as they will loose the 'little' amount of time they have with us. But his sister is lucky Clint has me and not another woman. As if it was up to he wants nothing to do with them. Its me that always tells him to. I've stopped doing that, its nothing to do with me and my princess is better off not knowing them.

Dan- Livvy seems to be going ok in her bed. She'll get used to it ;) Am I the only one with my bubs still in a cot? I was thinking I'll pop Annabelle in a bed at 2. We giving her a princess bedroom suite for her 2nd birthday. Just to make the transition a little easier :rolleyes: In theory!

Tan - how are you coping? Have you spent all your money on nappies yet lol!!! I am inspired to get back in and use my cloth now - thanks! Have just sorted them all out - yikes, had way more than I thought. Although tend to only use my faves - the itti dlishes and wild childs. Soooo nice, and a good fit on Angus cause he is a skinny little man, they are really trim. Although, the Baby beehinds are good too, the fitteds. Don't particularly like the magicalls or pockets. Anyway, hope you are having fun! Oh, and I wouldn't stress about the dummy - that is nothing, you need to have your rest, and not easy to cope with when you are on your own :hug:
Lulu - your family sounds like my DH's!! They are forever doing strange things, so we opt to have nothing to do with them :rofl: I can't believe Elena is almost walking - wow, the power of trying to keep up with a big sis hey!
Dan - my Dh wants to put Angus in a bed also!! I said Hell NO!!! There is no way my mischevious little man would stay in bed!! He has turned into monster child, and I do not want to start from scratch with his sleeps!! But, I have a friend who has put heer 16mth in a bed and she is fine. The pool is great, took us 5 yrs to get it!! But well worth it now, we just need to finish the surrounds etc. It has been so hot though that the water is actually really hot to swim in!! cant win! But Angus is getting to be a real fish, he jumps off the side and kicks and paddles - he loves it and always stands at the door screaming to get out. There have been alot of child drownings uo here lately though, so we are extra vigilent about locking the gates and he is never outside unsupervised. My biggest fear is the pool actually, I have asked DH to get extra locks actually because I am so paranoid.
Kass- Can I just say, sometimes I read your comments and replies etc and it is hard to believe you are 21. Annabelle is lucky to have such a devoted Mummy. I know what it is like to be a young Mum, I was 18 when I had my first, and I was so stereotyped it wasnt funny. But hey it made me even more determined to prove everyone wrong!! I almost quit uni, but didnt want everyone saying I told you so!! It took me 5 yrs, but I graduated and then shoved my degree back to all those who told me I was a stupid Young mother!! I am very stubborn, and I know my kids have inherited that trait :lol: I hope the ttc happens quickly for you! You have one smart beautiful little girl there, good on you!
D - I hope your scan goes well, and there is a healthy bubba cooking.
Anyway, I am supposed to be going shopping today to finally get my aircons!!! But, it is raining and all my washing was out on the line!!!! So I have no clean clothes - the joys of owning no clothes but your kids clothes are pouring out their cupboars onto the floor!! Maybe I will go this arve and hang some under the fan - or maybe I should just buy a dryer as well :rofl:
:wall:OMG I SPOKE TOO SOON!!!:wall: Olivia was terrible to settle overnight in her bed. It got so bad that I put her back in her cot at about 4am. I'm really in two thoughts about her bed. She happily goes down for her arvo sleep no probs and she settles beautifully for her nighttime sleep but god help me if she wakes up. I just can't seem to get her to resettle if she wakes up overnight. It's been the last two nights and Dave has been so incredibly unhelpful so I'm completely exhausted. Then he has the nerve to b!tch at me that I'm never in the mood for DTD anymore :o. Um hello!!! Getting no sleep, growing another baby, doing all the cleaning and cooking while working!! Anyway I digress. I'm wondering if she is too young for a bed or whether I need to keep going now that we have started. Is it giving her mixed messages putting her in her when she wont settle in her bed do you think?? Or day sleep in her bed and night sleeps in her cot for a while?? God I'm so confused!!!
Kass - I WISH it was that his finances were in crap shape - I would actually have some sympathy then. They're not. They're sitting very pretty - I'd love to be in their financial position!! Its just that they're all tight, mean, scummy people!!!
Lis - actually I don't have either of my girls in cloth nappies anymore. I made the decision on the weekend to stop with Ellie too. Iz hasn't been in cloth for months because she was slathered in so many different creams because of her fungal infection. TBH now that she is trying to TT herself (would probably have more luck if her mother actually got organised to help!) I'm not willing to take the risk of putting her back into MCNs - she still has creams that will clog the MCNs so she'd have to go without. I have almost all GKs and they just don't suit Elena's shape obviously because her clothes are always wet after an hour or so - weird when Iz managed to 3 or 4 hours between changes. Anyway, all just ridiculous changing a nappy every hour and clothes every hour so I've given up on them. I'd love to try different brands on her but I think my DH would seriously lose it. I'll put them all on B4B and see what I get for them and maybe try again.
Dan - sorry you had a bad night with Livvy. You're very brave - I have no doubt whatsoever that Izzy wouldn't stay in a bed for more than 30 seconds at this stage. As for prams, I definitely recommend side by sides. I now swear by my double Valco for walking and my double steelcraft for in the car/shopping. I really didn't like the P&Ts at all and Elena hated it. I think its a really good idea though that you wait as long as you can to see how Livvy's going. Have you thought of maybe just getting a single pram that takes a toddler seat and/or a skateboard. Iz never sleeps in the pram when I go shopping now so if I were to be buying a pram when you will need to, that's the way I would go. Did you carry Livvy in a sling at all? That would also buy you another couple of months of Livvy in the pram and wearing your new bub - especially given you're having a winter bub.
Shell - go the dryer and the aircon!! I'd be lost without both of mine. The only downside of the dryer is that it lets you get really lazy and not hang clothes on the line, although at the moment anything I put on the line is coming off like cardboard its so hot!
Danni - good luck with your scan today. Anything you'd like to let slip about blues or pinks, you know this is the place :)

Stubbon isn't such a bad thing a little bit can make you a leader not a follower. I always use that if Annabelle is having a tantrum :lol: "She's a leader not a follower, very head stronge" :lol:

Dan- I dont know if its because Livvy is in a bed or if its something in the water. Annabelle hasn't slept properly in a few nights and has come into our bed!
I think now you have started with the bed, persist. No more into her cot. Show that you're not going to back down. The 1st week of any transition will be hard. But if mummy isn't sure about it nither will Livvy be ;)

Hello!!!! I just had to go hunting for our thread!! Everyone has obviously had a busy few days!! I am still trying to get my house in order!! Have finished Angus's new room woo hoo! So....finally...no kids in my room!!! First time since I can remember for years and years!!!! So Angus now has his cot still and a single bed all ready in his room. He has all thomas the Tank Engine stuff as he LOVES it!! Whenever he sees a train he says toot toot!! So I brought a Thomas rug from spotlight for the floor with tracks and stuff so he can play with his trains on it! The girls room is also nearly finished - just need some more toy storage. Still looking around for something. And my room is almost done too - just have a heap of washing to fold (mountain of clothes lol!!) I feel so much better about the house and myself, is nice that it has some sort of order now!! AND to top it off my lovely DH went and brought 5 split sys aircons for the whole house! So, we can finally be cool in summer!!
I am also selling all my baby stuff - quite sad really. All you girls make me so clucky with your bubs and pregnancies! I feel so old to actually be "done" having babies. So weird actually. But anyway, I am enjoying watching my little ones grow up. I have 2 at school this year so just my little man and I will be home!
Anyway, I am off to morning tea with some work buddies this morn. Have to cook something, yikes I have no idea what though!! Sorry about the selfish post, but I couldnt go back throught the pages!!xx

Thanks tan! They are my latest studio photos, they are actually all huge so I couldn't scan them, so took photos of the photos!! They were so expensive I couldn't afford them for family, as I wanted them all to myself :lol:

Shell - Angus' room sounds gorgeous. Izzy loves Thomas too - I think it has given my DH a glimmer of hope that he won't be surrounded by girlie girls!! I know what you mean about being sad at the thought of selling baby things. About a month ago I packed away the 0000s and 000s thinking "maybe one day we'll have another baby". I've now decided that no, we definitely won't be having another baby and am slowly organising baby stuff for a garage sale. It makes me sad to think I'll never hold another newborn, I'll never get the chance of having a "normal" newborn, I'll never be able to breastfeed properly. The flip side is that quite honestly I'm too scared to have another baby. Its been such hell for the last two years I don't think I could survive it again.

I agree with Tan - that photo is stunning. You say your "latest" studio photos. How many have you had done? I haven't had any - I must be a bad mummy! I really want them though - maybe I'll tell DH that's what I want for Mother's Day this year.
Nothing much going on with us. Izzy's vocabulary is increasing every day and sometimes I listen to what she's saying and then a few seconds later realise its something new - seems to happen daily now. She's going through a bit of a fussy food time though and has lost weight - her size 0 pj bottoms have to be rolled over twice to stay up!! Otherwise everything is good. DH said that I can start getting her big girl bed stuff now so am really looking forward to that - I think my Mum probably is too!
Hi to everybody else. Better go and do some washing - although have to use the dryer today because some idiot set fire to the beautiful national park in the city yesterday and its still burning. We're only 5 kms away so its really smokey outside. Hate to think what my washing would smell like if I hung it on the line. Izzy's not happy because I won't let her play outside either!

Quick question - have you ladies bought or going to buy a single bed or toddler bed for your tots? I'm leaning towards a single bed with a rail but DH thinks a toddler one would be better for Ellie to climb in/out of and also not as far to fall lol! Interested to hear what you are all doing!

Lis - I was definitely bigger much more quickly with El but ended up smaller than I with Iz. I love that photo too. You might disagree with me (don't know why ;) ) but I really do have the most beautiful girls in the world!
I'm going with a single bed. Izzy's cot converts to a junior bed but I want to have the bed in her room but still have her cot so we can basically let her decide when she wants the bed. That's the plan anyway - we'll see how it goes!! As for a theme, I saw a "Hiccups" doona that has fairies and flowers on it. Izzy loves "flowees" so I'll take her into the shops and see if she likes it.

Hi there my gorgeous group of mummies and toddlers (I hate calling them toddlers). I just wanted to pop in and personally say my good byes to you all because you are such a wonderful, fantastic bunch of ladies who I am going to miss greatly.
I've been tossing this around for a few weeks now and yesterday pretty much decided it for me. My time on BB has come to an end (at least for now). I'm going to have a break for a while and hopefully with some time away I may feel comfortable enough to come back.
I have absolutely no idea how I would have made it through the last three years without such a wonderful fantastic bunch of women supporting me every second of it. I will pop back in and check on all of you gorgeous women from time to time as I just an't imagine my life without you all in it.
To those who are pg I wish you all the best with your pregnancy and meeting your new little bundle of joys and starting this amazing journey all over again.
Enjoy your little ones everyone and I sincerley hope that all your dreams, wishes and hopes come true. Continue loving being a mum and tackling the endless challenges our little ones throw at us.

Sorry I don't come on here much girls :redface: Having 2 is more challenging than I thought it would be and I am feeling a little overwhelmed, I even have Juz here to help me out and I still can't handle it. We are going to Adelaide for the weekend (we were going to go to the cricket but someone forgot to buy tickets, not me :wall:) hopefully the change of scenery will do some good and then Juz goes back to work. How easily you forget that the baby wants to be glued to the breast all hours of the day and night and scream if you don't oblige. Xavier is at least gaining weight rapidly with all the feeds :lol: He is such a skinny mini except for his fat head with chubby cheeks and double chin.

Sangie, Noah has been in a single bed since 12 months, as a little trick to the side rails, you can use a swim noodle under the sheet along the side of the bed. I use a rolled up blanket because I can't be bothered buying a noodle. We have woken up to find Noah hanging out of his bed twice though.

I had my 2nd scan today, and yes we are still having a boy which is great. Definitely a willy this time!
But I need to have a repeat scan in 2 weeks. They claim its cos they couldnt get a clear enough view of the skin to make sure it covers the whole body. I hope its nothing to worry about :(

Dan - I'm going to be really sorry to see you go but I completely understand. I go through stages where I'll be on here for ages and other times not for days. I rarely post at all in Elena's baby buddy thread. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes swimmingly well and that you will be telling us of the arrival of your new baby (I'm still thinking another princess for you!). You probably don't know just how much of a help you and some of the other BB ladies have been to me over the past few months and I will truly miss you.

I had a MCHN appointment yesterday - Izzy is 11.4kgs and 83 cms tall! :) The nurse asked if she was climbing etc.... and I said um yep and as she watched her said, she's been walking a while hasn't she! :rofl: She also asked if she has about 20 words and I said definitely and probably a bit more and I got home and made a list and its nearly 100!!! Clever chicken! Her sleep is all over the place and after 20 mths I have given her a dummy now. Isn't that crazy but she seems to need it right now and while Al was away I needed rest.
Hope you are all well - as I said before I will be around still but not quite as much as normal although our gorgeous thread isn't that busy and I am subscribed so will keep up with it when I can.
I'm saying goodbye too girls. :( My time has definitely come - please add me to FB we have all been through so much with you all from when I was pregnant with Isabelle. You got me through more than you can ever imagine from back then and watching our gorgeous families and toddlers grow has been wonderful. Please give me your email or other details so we can stay in touch but I promise I will pop in from time to time as well. :hug: to all of you special wonderful women and your beautiful kids.
