Oh Lulu, I can't imagine what's going through you mind. You're certainly not going nuts, it actually sounds like you're coping with the news much better than you think!!! I'm very impressed!!! It certainly will be a very exciting year for you. Try not to stress, as Michelle said, it will all fall into place. I still can't believe it though!!! I had to have an X-Ray today (will explain below) and they said "you're not pregnant again are you" - I just laughed and and said "no way, well I hope not anyway" - then I thought of you and realised it wasn't such a silly question afterall!!!!
Well, I took Luke back to the Chiro today and he was really happy with the progress. I haven't noticed any major changes in him yet though, so we'll see what happens. I also had a check up and my god - I'm a mess!!! Yep, so that's what the X-Ray was for. My back and neck are all out of whack, so there's a lot to be done. It was quite painfull actually but a good pain, IYKWIM??
Luke is still waking twice at night too - last night he woke at 12.30pm and again at 4.30am, then 7.15am!! I'm still praying we can get a decent nights sleep one of these days but I can't complain as he's now going back down without a fuss again!! Thank god.
The feeding is no better though - he's screaming quite a lot again but we have taken him off the Zantac, so we might have to start that up again. I just wanted to see if it really was making a difference - it's so hard to know. I think I'll try and put up with it for a few more days just to make sure.
Anyway better go, haven't achieved much today!
Kelly xxx
-
Lulu - it is completely understandable that you think through things! You are not going nuts -and I hope things go well so that you can ejoy your time iwth Izzy and your preganancy too!!
Kelly - hope the chiro can click you back into place and make you feel better!!
Dan - It was our *going out* 10 years and Al's birthday too -we dont actually celebrate it because we have been married for 4 years - but as it was a milestone we thought it was pretty spesh!!
Sarah - how is the poker going!!?? Hee hee!
Danni - hows the b'fing going hun? I read your post babe and hope you are ok. Remember no matter what that YOU are the person who is in the best place to decide what is best for Mason - plus Im breastfeeding and Izzy sleeps for 11 hours most nights so poo poo to people who say breastfed babies dont sleep for long - its simply not true in all cases
Everyone else - big :hello: to you all - hope you are all grand!!
We are doing well, Al and Izzy have a cold :( so Im thinking its a matter of time before I get it. Izzy had a slight fever today and a drippy nose so I gave her a dose of panadol and its come right down. Shes feeding and sleeping ok thank goodness. I went to the chemist and bought a thermometer that you stick in the ear - great investment I think - I checked her before and she didnt even stir.
Im so tired at the moment - not sure why, am sleeping really well and am only getting up at around 5ish each morning for a feed so it could be that Im just feeling a bit run down and blah.
Also thinking about doing some study again while Im home and can. Am thinking, Masters of Education (probably not!!) Welfare (maybe) librararianship (cant even spell it so maybe not!).Mmmm will see how I go!
Well Im going to have an early night tonight and still have nappy covers to buy! Im sick to death of Izzy's poo leaking out of her disposable nappies in the car so am going to buy a few covers for her so that if we are going out and are going to be spending lots of time in the car Im going to use covers.
-
Lulu - I know it feels daunting at the moment but it will all work out. You are giving Izzy the best gift of all, a beautiful sibling to play with! As for your new bubba, they will be blessed to have you as a mum. All the other stuff will get sorted out in time. I think that things are often meant to be and this is your path. I've often thought about the pros and cons of having kids close toegther or far apart. There are many major pluses and minuses for both. Let us know how you are going and try not to stress to much :)
Tan - sorry to hear they are both unwell. Its hard looking after a sick bubba and its awful seeing them upset. I hope they get better soon.
Julian was a lot of fun today. He babbled and laughed so much and entertained me for ages. I managed to cook a minestrone soup and do the bath/bed routine all without much stress. I love days like this but know you never know what tomorrow will bring!
-
Tan - I hope Izzy and your DH are over their colds and you managed to miss it. Have you given any more thought to further study? I think its a great idea to do something else - it will give you an interest that's just for you, rather than a mummy thing. Are you planning on going back to work?
Kelly - I hope the chiro can sort you out. I guess its pregnancy and birth that throws our bodies so far out of whack. Hopefully longer night sleeps for Luke are just around the corner too. It makes such a huge difference to how you feel when you can get down to even just one feed during the night.
Jan - so glad to hear you had such a fun day with Julian. Its days like that that make the sleepless nights and dark times worth while isn't it.
Danni - I hope you're feeling a bit happier with all the feeding and Mason is sleeping a bit more at night for you.
Well, Izzy must be going through a growth spurt. She's eating huge amounts and is a bit grizzling and very tired. She's usually awake for only an hour or so before she gets grumpy and is having lots of cat naps. She's also really sooky and wants her mummy when she's upset. It was lovely yesterday afternoon when she fell asleep on me for a couple of hours while I was lying on the couch - I managed to get a nap in too. I'd forgotten how tired you get in those first few weeks of pregnancy!! I've got a dating scan booked for a couple of weeks - can't wait to find out how long this little one has been hiding in there!!
-
:hello: Hello everyone - hope you are all fabulous!!!
Jan - arent the babbles and giggles just adorable! I was talking to mum and she was saying enjoy every day because these little ones will do something new every day that will never come back - *sniff sniff* not newborns anymore.... Thanks for the well wishes, Al is getting better and Izzy seemed to have fought hers off as her temp has stayed below 38 - a little raised but nothing dramatic thank goodness. Im hoping in a way that I get it so my immunity builds up and she wont get it at all- but somehow it looks like we both have missed it!
Hope you are doing well and have had another good day!
Hey Lulu! Dating scan - how exciting!! Does it seem real yet? I think Im still in shock but so excited for you!
With Al's new job - we are a bit unsure whats happening next year - he is on a contract til December (to get out of paying him for 3 weeks stand down over Christmas - gotta love workplace reform) so we need to see if it will be renewed for next year - we are about 99% sure it will - but you never know! Provided he is still there -Im planning on doing emergency teaching up to 2 days a week. Just this week I have decided that I dont want to go back part time- I dont want to have to write reports, go to meetings, do planning etc. With CRT I can turn up at 845 and leave at 345 and get paid great money. Downside is the irregularity but if Al is still at Docklands we can wing it!
So now to decide what to study - am thinking teacher librarian or welfare - still looking into my options. A Masters is around 10k -not that keen on that now!! Ha ha!
Ooh Im so excited too - we are starting swimming lessons in October!(Wish it was sooner) I found a place that doesnt just do familiarisation but actual lessons based on developmental stages with the aim that the bubs can swim by 18months old! I think its so important - we have a pool and spend lots of time by the beach too! Im going to start bathing her in the big deep bath to get her used to water too and also going to start going to the pool so she is used to the water before the lessons start!
Also had our MCHN apppointment this week- growing beautifully!! 5990 grams! (One feed off 6kgs!!) and 59.6 cms!
Ok gotta go do stuff! A few new pics online - there is a funny one of AL reading to Izzy and it looks like she is reading the book too!!
Take care all! xox
-
Hey girls! I've been moving house and just got my net back on, hooray!!!
CONGRATULATIONS LULU wow you're such a brave woman, but as you say, people have done and it you will be no exception :D Any word on a scan/due date as of yet?!
Since the move, Blake has been unsettled at night - waking for a dummy at 1am and 2am then a feed at 3-4am. Luckily last night he dropped the dummy waking and slept till 4. I was soooo used to him sleeping from 8-5, that waking up 3 times a night really took it's toll on me. I look back and remember when he was fed every 3 hours and it took an hour each time to feed, and thank my lucky stars it's not that bad lol!
He rolled over twice last thursday at 16 weeks 5 days, I'm so proud of my little man! He is blowing bubbles, and playing and pulling at toys with both hands. He has changed so so much in the last 2 weeks, such a big boy now!
I've added a few pics of him on my website that we got done on 9 August - tooooo cute for words, drop by and check them out.
Hope to catch up (again) from here on in. Awww I missed ya's :)
-
Hello!!!
Ashlee - Great to hear from you again and hope the move went well. The new pics of Blake are just gorgeous!!! I'm so jealous that he's sleeping so well - we still haven't had a really decent nights sleep!!!!
Tan - OMG, I just love the videos that you have up on your website!!!! They're sooo cute. I've got some great one's of Luke lately too!!! You sound just like me when you're talking to Izzy (I'm sure we're all the same though) - with the comments to her "Is that right" and "What else?" So funny!!!
Lulu - Can't wait to find out when you're due!!! Yeah, I'd be in heaven if we could get Luke down to one night feed - its getting really frustrating hearing that everyone's bubs are sleeping so well, I don't know what we're doing but he just won't have a bar of it!! Maybe he'll surprise us one of these days!!
Jan - Isn't it great hearing our bubs 'talk' away and laugh!! I just love it, its the best feeling!!!
Bugger, Luke has just woken again and is now on my lap, so I must get going!! He's had about three little naps today, each of them lasting a massive 20 mintues!!!! He just won't sleep, the little monkey!! Yesterday, we got a two hour sleep out of him and then today, nothing!!! Its so frustrating. I'd be ok with it if he was sleeping through the night, but I'm still up twice.
The feeding is sooo up and down still. One feed he'll be fine and I'll think that finally it all might be ok, then the next feed he's SCREAMING again!! It's so frustrating and even the paed is confused. The chiro has been really good but I haven't noticed any changes in him at home. I'm getting some treatment from him too though and god do I need it - my back is killing me.
Anyway must go, Luke is getting far too wriggly and whingy!!!
Take care.
Kelly xxx
-
A quick one here- Kelly I hear you!! My back is KILLING me today and most days are pretty bad too. I still have a massage voucher from my 30th over a year ago so I think I will get mum to come with me so I can go get it done!
Ash -great to hear from you hun!! Hope you arent too tired after moving and Blake has settled in ok!
Had our last MG at the centre today - we will be meeting at a playcentre at a shopping centre that has a babies area and cafe as of next week, our group is really big so cant really meet at someones house.
Ive put 3 videos up now (excuse the daggy pj's in one!) but lots of giggles and chats! So funny! I was telling someone today how I will make the most ridiculous noises and dances just to get a smile and giggle from my girl! Looking at the video I realised how silly the sounds I make are!! Ah well - she loves it so thats all that matters!!
Gonna go have a bath now!
-
Kel-Argh I wish I classed that as good sleep - I'm such an idiot lol I really rely on my sleep too much.
Tan-We moved on the weekend of the 11th, so had a little adjusting time but not enough for my little pudda. Those videos of Izzy make me a bit jealous, Blake isn't giggly yet. He has 2 times but nothing major like that. We have to jiggle him till his head nearly falls off to get that, but he is very smiley and loves to grab his toys with both hands and is strong enough to pull his playgym close enough to get them in his mouth!
We're off to the Ellen Barron centre next week - a centre for mum's not coping and difficult babies. Blake isn't a "difficult" baby anymore but just learning a proper routine and self settling techniques will be great. It's a Monday-Friday stay so I'll probably be MIA again! I can't wait, the best thing for bubbys is routine and this will give me the skills I need to achieve that!!! Woooot!
-
HI everyone!
Just a quick selfish post from me - sorry! We are all going well, have just been so busy I wish we could have at least a whole week with nothing on to stay at home and do nothing!!! I have spent the last 3 hours designing and trying to make baby shower invites for my friend. Computers must hate me cause I'm sure it should be easier than this! I have made 1 invite!! Anyway, I will get there eventually!
Also, does any of you guys use cloth nappies?? I know Tan you said you were getting covers for your disposables. I brought a few cloth all in ones and shaped ones to try. They look good, but not sure if I could trust them other than around the house iykwim. Have only ever used disposables, but have been weighing up the cost of disposables and then the cost of cloth.
Anyway, Angus is waking up for his midnight snack!
*Michelle*
-
Mictam I am sooo comtemplating MCN's....sposies are just so damn expensive. No advice, just wanted to share lol
-
Hello everyone!
Am i allowed to join this thread?? Lol, or is it too late? My bub was born May 21 2007, so i love reading what other bubs the same age are up to.
My name's Stephanea and DS is Khai.
Hope to hear from y'all
-
Sorry I have been a little MIA girls, I have been reading, just really working towards getting my website up and running, it is a mess!!!
Stephanea - You are more than welcome to join our group! Glad you found us! It is great to be able to relate to other mums about your baby. I love the name Khai, does it have a meaning?
Ashlee - I love the new pics of Blake! They are adorable!
Michelle - If you need a hand designing the invites feel free to email me, or add me to msn and I can help you put one together if you like! I only use disposable nappies but some mums in mothers group use the washable ones at home only and it works great for them!
Oh god, I just had a poo explosion, better give the little man a bath... EWW!!!! Will try to catch up on more personals later!!!
-
Way too busy here too but wanted to say a big HI and welcome to Stephanea and Khai!! Looking forward to getting to know you both!!
-
Hey Sarah - Thanks :) Nah, Khai doesn't mean anything...i just like the name :) Hehe. And i have an obsession with spelling names differantly.
And thanks for the big welcome Tan :) Did i read correctly?? Your little Izzy is sleeping for upto 11hrs? You lucky, lucky mum! Hehe. Khai will sleep upto 6hrs...but then wake up for a feed. He's not too hard to put back to sleep of a night time tho.
Khai looks like a little dinasaur the way he sticks his neck up when he's on his belly! It's so cute, he just pokes his little head around looking at everything. And he's pulling himself up into a seating position...but can't hold himself up yet. He's a strong lil tucker :)
-
Hi everyone and welcome Aniejade.
Quick one from me today - I'm in the middle of my "birthday week"!! I've had a lovely last couple of days with lunches, facials, manicures etc and am about to head off to lunch with the girls. Unfortunately won't be drinking though will I!! None of them know yet so I'm going to have to tell a little white lie . . .
Izzy gave me a lovely birthday present - slept for 13 hours!!! She's such a good little pumpkin - still sleeping right through and she's so much fun.
Anyway, gotta go. Hope everyone's having a good weekend.
-
Hi All!
Welcome Aniejade and Khai! Love the name Khai! I thought Angus was a big boy at 9lb 1oz born, but Khai was a whopper!!
Sarah, thanks for the offer, I should have thought of you earlier!! I am such a nut, my brain is absent 90% of the time I think!! I have just about finished the invites now, I was just ahving drama with the paper I brought. I brought that clear paper to put over patterned one but the printer wouldn't print on it? Not sure why but anyway I took it back and got different stuff. I am still not happy with them but the baby shower is in 2 weeks so I better just send them!! What a nightmare! I wish I had of e-mailed you weeks ago Sarah!!!
Lulu, how are you feeling? Any morning sickness? When is your scan? Can't wait to find out when you are due!!
Ash, I Know what you mean about the price of sposies. I did go and buy some MCN to try, have to wash them and will let ya know if it is more hassle than its worth! I got a few different brands to see what I like best, there are soooo many to choose from!!!
Anyway, I betta go! A big hello to evryone else!! Take Care!
*Michelle*
-
Hi guys. Sorry I've been MIA. We are so incredibly busy at the moment. Hope everyone is fantastic and that all our babies are behaving themselves.
Promise to catch up soon, hopefully in the next day or so.
Luv Dan.
-
Just wanted to let everyone know I'll be MIA too all this week. We're off to the Ellen Barron FC on the other side of town, so we can learn sleep techniques, settling, self settling and coping strategies etc. I am so excited, it costs NOTHING and Scott is coming too (and going to work during the day). If Blake had siblings, they'd be able to go too, how wonderful is that??
I'm going to try and relactate, so hopefully this can begin this week with lots of help from the midwives.
-
On my way to MG but just wanted to wish you luck Ashlee!!! This will be your week for sure!! Can't wait to hear how you go!
Will be back tonight for personals!
-
Ash - sounds wonderful hun - good luck relactating - fingers crossed for you!! Make sure you fill us in with all the details when you get back!
Ive been busy too - no time for too many personals either mum and dad are about to come over and this house is sooo messy! Izzys sleeping pattern has changed a bit at night because we went out for 2 nights in a row and I fed her at 1030ish and so she woke at around 10 ish last night -but then slept til 815 so I think I prefer that anyway! I get a full nights sleep!~ We'll see if it keeps up or if she goes back to her old pattern - Aniejade Im sometimes embarrassed to tell people but yeah she sleeps for 11 hours - 7-6 usually although like I said it seems to have shifted, I was rapt when someone at MG said - oh my daughter sleeps for 12!!
Well better go keep cleaning - back for personals later!
-
Hello!!
Sorry, quick one from me too - I'm over at Mums and just as I was about to leave Luke fell asleep, so I decided I'd put him to bed here and try and get a good sleep out of him. He's hardly slept again today and I'm sick of lugging him in and out of the car, I'm sure it's affecting his day sleeps, so now I'm hanging out here until he wakes. I desperately needed to clean the house too, oh well, it will have to wait until tomorrow, what a shame!!
Tan - I'm still sooo jealous that you're getting so much sleep. I thought Luke was the greatest little boy for going 7 hours between feeds the other night, giving me a good 6 hour sleep!!! I can't imagine getting more than that!!! Maybe he'll surprise me one of these days!! He is settling back down without a fuss again though, so I can't complain too much, I'm only up for half an hour, then back to bed for another 3-4 hours!!
We were back at the Chiro again this morning and I'm so pleased to say that Luke's feeding has improved dramatically. I have also put him back on the Zantac thought, so I dont know if its the chiro or the Zantac now but at least he's feeding better!! He's taking the Zantac much better now too, so we'll just keep it up. I guess he's getting used to the horrible taste!!!
So, we're feeling much better again this week. Its wonderful!! Although my back is an absolute mess - it really hurt at the chiro today but I am noticing a slight improvement. I have to go twice a week still though but thankfully Luke has nearly finished his treatment, which is great.
Anyway better go. Talk soon.
Kelly xxx
-
Kelly - good idea with the sleeps - I try to do that too with Izzy, I hate waking her during days sleeps seeing as she will only sleep for an hour at a time anyway. Glad the treatment is nearly finished for Luke - hope your back is feeling better soon hun.
Sarah - your web designs look awesome hun! Clever girl! How was MG?? We have our first one away from the HC this week - we have found a kids indoor playground that has a babies area with soft floors, bouncers and a cafe so we are trying that out. We have 14 in our group so we cant really meet at someones house!
Michelle - how did you go with the invites?? Get them all sorted out I hope!! How are the MCN going?? im contemplating it too but not sure about the extra washing - plus she has never had one sign of nappy rash since birth - a combo of huggies being so absorbant plus the awesome bum balm I use - so dont want that to change! Let us know how you go.
Lulu - how are you feeling??? :happybirthday: too!! Not sure what day it was but I hope you had a great day! Sounds like your week was pretty good! Faicals manicures and coffees sound like my kind of week!
Aniejade- your photos of Khai are adorable! and arent they funny the way they stick their heads up when they are on their tums! Izzy has just started loving it on her belly - seemed to happen overnight that she liked it for more than 30 seconds!
Dan - Hope you and Liv are going well!! Its amazing how busy lives can get hey - Im trying to enjoy every spare minute with my girl right now and stop thinking about how bored I get - we are seriously talking about my going back to work in February now so suddenly Im not so bored
Ash - I know you are away - but I hope its all going super well for you, DH and Blake!!
All you other gorgeous funky mamas - a big HELLO and hugs to you all!
Well busy times here as well- my GF and I finally took some pics of Izzy! So cute - Im picking them up tomorrow so will see how they turn out - realised that lots are nudies rudies though - didnt think to put a nappy back on her when she was on her back. Sad that you have to think of stuff like that these days - ah well-they will be fine for around the house! A few are up on my site.
Well - Im off - tired tonight, will be interesting to see if Izzy wakes again at around 10 for a feed and sleep through til 8 like she did today!
Catch you all soon!
-
hey guys...sorry i havent been posting much. Still exhausted here. Mason still wont go back to sleeping through. Being sick has ruined everything for us :(
He is now sleeping 5-6 hours when I first put him down, then normally ever 90 mins there after he wants to feed. Its getting harder to put him back down again too.
I have booked into the day stay settling clinic and am waiting for an appt time. Hoping they can help me as he barely sleeps during the day too.
I have been reading, so Happy Birthday to Lulu, good luck to ash, and :hello: to everyone else.
I am visiting Ashlee and Blake next week! we are so excited xxx
-
I'm back. Blake and I are sick. F*** IT!!!! I'm so sick of everything being ruined, what am I doing wrong?!?!?!?!
Thankfully we did get some help with settling Blake in his cot, he went down within 10 minutes, fast asleep, I felt like a bit of a goose considering it was so bloomin easy!
Didn't have any time to even think about relactation, but I'm going to respond to my email contact at the ABA and have a phone convo with her tomorrow.
Went to GP and says we both have viral infections (again) and panadol and sleep is the only thing that can be done. Ugh.
Thanks for the well wishes, bloody hell, I'm so mad.
-
Ashlee - Aww, i HATE being sick...especially when you have to keep waking up for a baby...makes it 10times harder. I feel for ya! So do you think the clinic was really helpful and worth it? I'd love to go to one...but i don't think there's one in my area.
Tan - Izzy's photo's are sooo adorable! I can't wait til i have a lil girl.. But im more than happy with my little man...i wanted a boy first. But yeah, it's so cute how they stick they're little heads up. Khai does it every time i lay down with him on my belly...he's starting to crawl all over me!
Im hearing alot about 'personals'....what does that mean? Im only newish to this forum tho so im a bit clueless...
Hope everyone is doing well!!
Khai starts daycare every thursday next week...ahhh...im so scared/sad/stressing! I checked out the center today tho and it's really lovely. It's an ABC center...does anyones little bubs go to daycare yet?
Steph xo
-
Steph- Personals are just your personal replies to everyone like I am going to attempt right now :)
I feel you about stressing about daycare, I don't intend on doing it with Noah unless I am really desperate, I am so attached to my little man I can't have him out of my sight for even a minute. I hear ABC is really fantastic though.
Ashlee- :hugs: You don't get a break do you hun? Get lots of rest, that is about all you can do with nasty viruses. Fingers crossed it passes quickly for you and Blake so you can enjoy next week with Danni and Mason.
Danni- :hugs: To you too, I hope you get your appt soon so you can get some rest. Better yet I hope Mason sleeps for you all through tonight and gives you a few naps tomorrow ;)
Tan- Thanks! There were lots of cuss words coming out of my mouth to get it done. I know what you mean about meeting at homes with big groups, we have 15 in ours, I only have 4 coffee mugs  I love the new pics too!!
Kelly- Way to go with Luke feeding better!!! I bet your feeling very relieved!
Michelle- Glad to hear you got your invites sorted, I bet they look fantastic.
Lulu- Lucky you!! Great to hear you had a fun B-Day week!!
Yesterday Noah laughed for the first time!!!!! It was fantastic, I will have to upload my video of him laughing at my farting foot while he is in his Jolly Jumper it is priceless! I measured his length the other day as well, can you believe he is 66cm long!!! I can't wait to find out how much he weighs, he is growing so fast. I might get him weighed on Thursday at the Dr's when he gets circumcised. I am so nervous about it, I feel like I did when he was due for his first shots except this time I can not be there to comfort him. It is something we want to do though and it won't bother him for long.
Well I better head to bed, I had a huge day of housework and more tomorrow. Hope everyone had a great day!!!
-
ash dont worry! we can do sleep settling together with our naughty bubs :p yeah right! like i have any clue what im doing!
They never called me back  Mason woke every 90 mins again last night and i am SO sick of waking up with a bloddy migraine. I have tried everything with this boy
hope everyuone is well xx
-
A quick one here :hugs: to Danni and Ash - you poor things how horrible. Ash I really hope things start improving really soon for you hunny. Heres to a quick recovery for both you and Blake.
Izzy has come down with a runny, snotty nose since last night. :( It just hit all of a sudden while she was feeding. She was pretty miserable last night but is happy today - but shes really snuffly. I have Fess - but the aspirator seems to be for mucous (TMI sorry) right in her nostril -while the drops for a blocked nose - so neither seem to do much right now. Is there anything else I can do?? Ive slightly raised her cot mattress so it will drip out rather than back. I guess Im lucky shes happy enough and this is the first time she has been sick since born. Any tips from you gorgeous mamas would be great!
-
Hey everyone!
Tan, when Angus had a snuffly nose I used the saline drops and just tipped his head a bit back so it went right in, this normally made him sneeze which was then I used the aspirater when it loosened up a bit iykwim!!! Also I have a vaporiser which I put on and it really helps with their breathing when they are clogged up! Oh, and also euky bear rub for chest and feet (then put socks on)!! I think that is about it for survival tips!! Unfortunately with 2 older kids we have had lots of bugs through the house since Angus was born!! Izzy has done well to not get sick till now!!
Ash, I hope you and Blake get better soon. Rest up when you can and forget about housework and stuff!! How do you go about relactating?? Sounds interesting, hope it all works out for you!
Sarah, I got Angus circumcised at 3 weeks. He only cried a bit when they gave him the needle for the nerve block. It was me that was more upset I think!! Also after I didn't know what to expect and the little ring thing really grossed me out!!! Was so glad when it finally fell off after about 10 days! Is Noah getting done with the ring (plastibell I think it is called)
Kelly glad you and Luke are getting better with help from the chiro! Love your ticker photo, he is a cute boy!!
Anyway, I btter go. Angus has decided he will feed 3rd hourly again day and night, so that is fun! My left BB is sooo sore, must have a blocked duct. Will feed him then express as well I think to try and clear it.
Take Care
*Michelle*
-
Awww Danni, I know how you feel hun, Noah was up every hour last night the bugger, it is so hard to smile at them in the morning when all you want to do is sleep. I hope you get a nap out of him today so you can have one too.
Sorry Tan, no tips from me, I didn't do much when Noah was sick, I just let it run its course although he didn't have a blocked nose. I remember reading that babies don't know to be miserable when sick so that does benefit us a little anyway.
Michelle I am definitely doing the plastibell, I had a choice and I would rather the plastibell anyday after watching a circ video online. I just don't know how I am going to cope with leaving the medical centre for 15 minutes because I know they scream when they get the local. Noah has always been comforted from the second he starts crying and I don't want him to distrust me because I wont be comforting him iykwim. I would have done it sooner although I was going to wait until he was 6 months old so we could do it under general and then they changed the law and I cannot afford upwards of $1000 for one.
Ugh!! He's hungry again I better run!!

Ash - you poor thing. You must be feeling totally jinxed. I'm glad sleep school was at least a bit helpful and hopefully you can start the relactation with just getting advice over the phone. Hope you and Blake are better very quickly.
Danni - not good for you either. 90 minute night feeds would just suck. Hopefully its just a phase he's going through and any second now he's going to surprise his mummy and sleep for 12 hours!
Steph - nope. No day care for my girl either at this point. The plan was that I put her in around 12 months for a couple of days a week so I could do some work. Now she'll probably still go then but it will be so I can cope with the new baby!
Tan - my Izzy has a bit of a snotty nose too and the CHN told me on Monday Fess too. I hope your little girl is snot-free in no time!
Sarah - I'd struggle with hearing them cry too. Do you have to leave, or is it your choice to leave? How gorgeous your little man laughed. Its a great sound isn't it?
Michelle - bad news for your feeding too. I hope you can shift the lump and get a bit of relief soon.
Kelly - I'm glad you and Luke are getting your aches and pains sorted out.
Izzy had her 4 month check up with the CHN on Monday. She was 61cm long and 5.7 kgs - so small compared to some of your babies!!! She's so gorgeous - she learned how to do razzberries on Monday and she does them as soon as anybody looks at her now - really is a kiddie with a new toy!
I'm starting to feel really quite nauseous a lot of the time but fortunately nothing like I was with Izzy. And soooooo tired. Can't wait for my dating scan next week - seems like so far away. oh well. My girl and I are off to the Mums and Bubs movie today. Should be interesting . . .
Hi to everyone I've missed. Hope mummies are all well and bubbies are all beautifully sleeping, feeding and playing!
-
Steph-I'm so sorry for not welcoming you, I've been self centred but also busy, so WELCOME. As you'll see I didn't have my lil guy in May but I was due in May so I'll always be part of the group, even if they don't like it lol I'm putting Blake in family day care 1 day a week soon, just so I can get some things done around here! One of my friend's from school's mum has done FDC for as long as I've known her (15 years) So I trust her wholeheartedly.
Sarah-Fanks sweetums, sometimes I just need to have a whinge lol we just never seem to get a break. Congrats on Noah laughing, how cuuuute. I'm getting Blake circd too, eventually, I just need to get $450 and an appointment. 66cm is long, are you or Jus tall? What's your hotmail addy so I can add you to MSN?
Dan-LOL yeh it's going to be a household of fun when those 2 get going together lol hopefully they be nice and just be friends and sleep through for 12 hours at least. Yeh, right lol guess what? our pool has gone green :( owner is getting someone out this week hopefully, you'll need it as it's about 26 today!
Tan-Blake has a runny nose at the moment too, I've elevated the cot mattress too, have a vapouriser on, and our reverse cycle heater on all night to help. The cold air never helps to dry it up, so if you have a heater in your lounge or somewhere you can turn on, or an oil heater to put in her room, I would use those. Hopefully the runny nose is all she has!
Michelle-there is a whole thread on relactating, it's a difficult process but I'm willing to give it all I've got. That really stinks about Angus feeding 3 hourly, maybe he is just growing?
Lulu-I'm soooo excited for your scan. Makes me want to get preggo all over again just talking about it!!! We're going to start trying in December (maybe lol) as I realllllly couldn't handle getting up in the freezing cold again LOL December=September babies so it's quite warm even overnight by then (but I doubt I'd even conceive first month).
Blake got measured on Monday night....7950g, 69cm long and 43cm HC. Is he not the most giant baby ever? He is still putting on over 100g a week, it's insane!!!! The nurses at EBFC said they kept forgetting he couldnt sit etc as he looks sooo much older than what he is. I can't WAIT to see the size difference in Mason and Blake, I'm sure he'll look like a big bully kid against tiny lil Mason!

Lulu, that is great your morning sickness isn't bad this time, it would be hard enough to cope with the fatigue being pregnant and a baby. Unfortunately it is the Dr who says I need to leave, I do understand but it is hard for me, Juz's mum will be with me though.
Ashlee, I added you to my msn. :)
Quick question, the last few days, Noah has been really clingy, doesn't want to be put down or ignored and is harder to settle to sleep and crying heaps, do you think this is one of those wonder weeks? I might make a separate post in the hopes of someone with the book will answer. His behavior is so unlike him right now and it is very frustrating...
-
Sara, could be a wonder week, could be sick, could be a number of things. I hate not knowing! I just wish they'd pipe up and say "Mummy that hurts" lol
-
Yeah I wish that too Ashlee, everything I have read online says the wonder weeks around this time is 13 weeks and 17 weeks and he is 15 weeks and born on time so I am wondering if it is something else. I might mention it to the doc before his circ just in case, I would hate for him to be unwell and get circ'ed
-
Hey Sarah. Izzy is going through a clingy stage too. She cracks it big time if anyone but me or her daddy cuddle her. She is happy and content in our arms but if we hand her over to anyone else she really cracks it. Poor grandmas!!
Ash - I'm getting more used to the idea of being pregnant now. I was truly terrified at first, and then felt guilty about not being excited about being pregnant. Funny about you saying you're waiting until December for better weather - I said after being pregnant last time through summer there was no way I was going to do that again. Ha ha. And here I am living "Groundhog Year".
Went to Mum and Bub movie today. Izzy was an angel - had a bottle when we got in there and then slept on my shoulder the entire movie. Might have to make it a regular thing - was nice to get out and do normal grown up stuff. Bourne Ultimatum is on next week so I'll definitely have to try to get to that one.
-
Lulu - movie sounds great hun! I might try to go to one next week!! I love the Bourne movies! Sorry to hear you are not feeling the best - heres to m/s passing really fast for you so you can enjoy your pg!!!
Sarah -is the circ tomorrow- if so good luck honey hope it all goes well! Sorry if Ive got the day wrong. Hope Noah isnt sick either and is just going through a growth spurt or something.
Hello to all you gorgeous ladies and bubs!
Well Izzy has been all snuffly all day - poor poppet and her breathing seems to be quite fast and a bit wheezy so to ease this paranoid mothers mind (and my mothers mind) Im going to take her see my GP tomorrow. I know he will say to use a vaporiser, raise her bed and use Fess(all of which Im doing ;) ) ah well!
Oh Ive posted another giggly vid u- so annoying how she will laugh when I sound like an absolute d!!k while she looks and sounds so cute! Ive also put some pics that my gf took up - the black and white turned out great - the colour are a bit wishy washy! Ah well- handy having a friend do them so it didnt cost a fortune and we can do it again! They are under photo shoot with aunty B!
Well Id better get to bed early for once- Ive been going way to bed too late the last few weeks. Hope you all have a great night!
-
Hi gorgeous mum's and bub's,
I thought I'd finally gotten some time off to sit down and catch up on personals but Olivia has just woken up. Typical isn't it. She's been down since 1.45pm so she is starving and not interested in anything but booby so I've got to dash and I'll be back on later to catch up on personals.
-
OMG We had the circ today, I am a mess, I feel so guilty even though I wanted it done anyway, I have no regrets but it isn't nice to see my little man in pain, I hate the government taking away our choice to circ when it is our own without warning because I would have rather put him through it when he was much younger or waited until he could have a general.
It looks swollen and a bit like a rubber ball, did it look that way for you too Michelle? There is some blood as well which I was told there would not be much so I will be keeping my eye on it, I am just overly paranoid but better safe than sorry.
Ashlee - I did think 66cm was a bit long but he is indeed that long, Juz is 6ft tall and I am 5' 2". We got Noah weighed as well and he is 7kg on the dot, not bad for 3 1/2 months.
Lulu - It is great to just get out, it makes you feel normal to be able to go to a movie again, we have ours once a month on the first Tues, so next week and it is I pronounce you Chuck and Larry, I cannot wait. It's good to know that Noah is not the only one going through the clingy phase then, I don't mind but I was worried he could be sick.
Tan - Thanks for the well wishes! I hope all went well at the GP today!!
I better get started on dinner even though I feel sick to my tummy from the nerves. Hope everyone else is having a great day!!
