    Hi Mummies!!

I am sending lots and lots of get well and sleepy vibes to all that need them!! Our trip down south was good but bloody cold, Miss B wasn't too bad on the plane but am noting to self that I will never fly the 6am or 7pm flights to and from, bloody stupid with a baby but hey, thats my in laws for you Miss B was feral the next day and the one after that - just crying and clingy which made me cry because my baby is never like that. But, for the last 2 days I have my sunshine back so am very happy

Miss B is 7 and 1/2 months old now, sitting up on her own, having 5 breast feeds a day and eating 3 solids. 2 are in between feeds and the last is her dinner at 530/6 which I give her first before a bf, is this ok? She sleeps all night from 8 to 7 when my hubby goes in for a cuddle before work otherwise I think she would just stay in there! Is having 3 sleeps a day but the last one at 430 is more like a 45min recharge nap but I dont want to lose it yet because I get my coffee beak then When do you think I should wean down to 2 sleeps etc?

This is really long but I havent been on in a little while... Am wondering about baby number 2 but am not sure when a nice age would be? Not sure how I would cope etc?

    Take Care

HEy girls.....I had a shocker of a night but I am actually watching my girls sitting next to each other...being nice.....and watching the wiggles.....bliss!

SkyeHugs, its hard with no sleep and you get at your wits end. I remember when Olivia was this age...or actually a bit older, she didnt sleep (not much changed) but she was up every night for 2 hours at a time screaming. I remember it up til just before Bec was born, then all the sudden it clicked and she slept through...not all the time but some times. Its hard when they are sick it throws them. You just have to be consistant with what you are doing, as tiring as it is, they will eventually get it. So if its sitting next to the cot patting to sleep for ages, then so be it. Then you can try and do less and less per night. Its so hard, but remember youre doing a good job.

Kate- Bella sounds like shes doing well. I wouldnt worry about crawling, its not a major milestone. She might go from sitting to cruising to walking and skip crawling all together. Bec can sit forever now but if she leans over, most of the time she will fall. She rolles alot..but thats it! She has no teeth as yet although I reckon they are not too far away. Hows Bellas head? Is it rounding out a bit??? I am sure it will be fine. When are you coming to melbourne next??? Was it you who was looking to catch up with everyone???

Zoo- sounds like you did alright on your trip. I have heard it take a little time to resettle after a flight. As for another baby and a good age....well I have 19 months between my girls and to be honest, it was/is hard. I wouldnt do any closer than that. However, now that rebecca is older, it is getting easier and Olivia does love her sister despite the fact that shes rough as guts with her. I like that age gap. If I was a lot youner (am 34 at the end of the year), I would have waited a while longer. Maybe have 2 and a half to 3 years between them. So for our next one....we will be having roughly the same age gap. So just before rebeccas 1st birthday I will actively start to ttc.

Us- girls are on the mend, even though they are sleeping poorly. Rebeccas cough sounds funny and I am errring to the side of croup. She has a high pitched sound at the end of the cough...seal like. Shes on ABs but I think they are not doing too much for her cough. her nose is much better though. Another trip to the gp!

Better go and feed myself.....I have lost 4kgs so far by cutting my portion size down and walking. Another 10 to go!

Congrats on the tooth Mini and it sucks about the croup. We had to Jack to the hospital the other night and there was a bub there with croup. The cough broke my heart
I dont remember who asked but we've turned our seat around. Jack was screaming in the car otherwise. I think it was because he couldnt see us. I dont know if anyone else has noticed this but Jack is getting REALLY clingy atm. Are any of your kids doing the same?
Anyway he can now crawl but has trouble sitting by himself. Hates sleeping and eats like a hog! How's everyone going?

Hi ladies. Sorry I havent been here in ages. I forgot how crappy pg is at the beginning. We dont know how far along yet but I think about 2months.

Mini: I know how you feel about the short/no sleeps. Ds is starting the no sleep routine. Congrats on the teeth!!! And keeping the secret from dh. Its really hard isnt it And you swam with the sharks?! Geez you are one brave lady. BTW I dont know how to get pg with a boy but good luck for when you start ttc.

Raven: Babies learn really fast dont they. I tried to send an email with ds sitting on my lap and he's such a keyboard hog Atleast he wasnt trying to rip my nipple off at the same time. Good luck with it all.

Skye: It sounds like Mia is doing really well. Your making me jealous.

As for me, ds is being a terror. Sometimes he wants all the solids he can get his hands on and the next he's not interested. There is no pattern in his sleep "routine". And he doesnt sleep through the night anymore. But I think most of that is because we have family staying with us and he's been moved back into our room. Hopefully they will leave today and things will settle down a little. Also HE STARTED CRAWLING!!! Clever little boy!!!

So anyway that's my news. How's eveyone else??

    Reborn congratulations
I hope that when the visitors go he will be better! I notice mine are unsettled when we've had people stay. Even visitors for a few hours can mess them up

Melissa I've done a lot of research on the Shettles method. I have faith that it does work (even though my real attempt didn't ie tried for girl and got boy), but the main factor is timing. Without that being right the rest isn't going to be much help Get the book, it explains a lot.

Got an almost crawling girl. She's up on her knees rocking! In celebration I have banned lego and have been confiscating it as I find it about the house. I was OK with the boys and their let it roam free attitude while R was confined to one room. Not any more!

Been having some back and pelvis issues too this week Very sore. I feel like an old bag hobbling about. Not sure how I've done it exactly. I suspect it was lifting a very full washing basket. That'll teach me do do housework

    Hi Ladies

Sorry about being AWOL, had computer problems for a couple of weeks and have just a new lappy yay - was lurking but was on DH's laptop and had to be quick.

Reborn - congrats on your pregnancy - that is fantastic news.

Raven - ouch, you poor thing, hope it doesn't last too long, back pain is horrid. - no more housework for you!

Minimatron - sounds like you had an awesome night for your DH's birthday!

It sounds like we have a mixed bag of bubbas -with some sleeping through the night and some not - we are in the 'some not' category and I am beginning to think it will never happen - we have two to three feeds per night - yay....anyway, what can I say, it won't last forever.

Okay, better go, should try and get an early one in tonight!
Sending lots of sleepy vibes to all the bubbas.

Hi Girls, big hugs to sick bubbas and lots of sleepy dreams to those who need them.

Miss B is dragging/crawling with one leg, around the floor like no tomorrow! She gets up on her hands and knees rocking and then slide back on to her belly and drags to what she wants. Is still having 3 sleeps a day and 12 hours overnight, was considering knocking out that last 'nap' at 4/430pm but I have my coffee break then so am keeping it for now Have started having 3 meals a day now and have introduced mince 1 so far and she devoured it!! DH says even Miss B loves his cooking! How often should I be giving her meat, do you think? Also, at what texure are your bubbies having their meals? Miss B's are pureed but not to the point of liquid, it will stick to the spoon but not sure when to move on to mashed etc...

I havent turned Miss B's car seat around even though she can sit and is over 9 kg because it is safer for them to face that way, so the ambo man told me. When she starts cracking up about it I will turn her around.

Am seriously thinking about bub number 2 DH said 'yes', so next year we will be TTC #2, I want to return to work for 12 months before we start again so around August/September 2010 we will start getting serious. Am not sure I would be able to cope with the gap much less than that between the kids and this will be my last pregnancy. Am already thinking of names (I work in a baby area, so comes with the territory) and DH and I cant agree! He likes Amelia (I dont because I dont like nicknames - especially MILLIE!! sounds like a pet name to me) and I like Ava. We both dont mind Olivia, and I can live with Liv or Livvy s nicknames, oh well planty of time to fight about it

Hope you are all good, time to do some washing and vacumming the floor, again!!

    Hi!!!

Mini: No I wasnt always Reborn. Used to waiting... and now I'm not I cant believe it wont take long for all our bubs to be crawling confidently and then walking! I dont want ds to grow up so fast!!!!

Zoo: I gave ds mashed up sausage with mashed potato and carrot last night. I see what you mean about the meat!! He loved it. Never even crossed my mind to use mince. As for the pureeing, I've never done it. I didnt even know we had a pureer til dh showed it to me. So all the food ds has had as been mashed. Were thinking of ttc #2 and were looking at names too. So far we've got Charlie and Sophie. BTW my little neice is named Olivia and her nickname is Ollie. Hope that doesnt put you off the name.

AFM ds is having some pro pics done of him today. Hopefully I can figure out how to post them up here. He keeps waking for feeds at night which is slowly killing me. Plus he has 3 naps a day and I'm not game to try and drop any of them. Still clingy but so cute in a baby monkey kind of way
