yer i remember Annabelle but haven't seen any posts from her in a while...maybe do a member search and pm her?
Kate - Glad to hear Bella's better, hopefully the scan goes well and there aren't too many dramas for you xoxo
hmm a nanny now there's something i didn't think about. DH has a new job and will be working from home but needs a certain amount of kid free time to take calls and do a visit or something so a nanny would be ideal.....mmm i remember seeing an agency at the Expo so will look into it
We are good here, well no dramas just the usually. Tallon has all four of his front Top teeth pushing through together so naturally my eyes feel like they are dangling from the sockets but surprisingly he's not chaffing me (i was red raw on the boobs when the bottom ones were coming through)
I'm not enjoying this spring though, my hayfever is rampant and there is nothing i can take for it whislt BF not fair but hey DH doesn't mind the swollen faced puffy red eye'd sniflly girl i've become so meh
Hi girls,
Am still getting the updates so have been keeping up to date with people ....just slack on posting.......
Can't believe enough time has passed for some to be TTC again...good luck
Also can't believe that our little Willow is turning ONE next week! how amazing...it has gone so quickly for us. I am not sure if it is because Miss C has been so consuming of our time that Miss W has missed out a bit...but she is such a chilled out bub even though she still doesn't necessarily sleep through (still a BF'd bub).
Some stats....Has reached 9.6kg, 7 teeth (eighth on its way), pulling herself up, but not walking, says MAAMAAMAAMAAMAMA,, loves curry food, refused a dummy, tolerates a bottle of EBM, won't have a bar of formula, is now in to her 4th week of daycare (only Mondays) with Big Sis, loves swimming and walks in the pram, generally only a very light sleeper ( can go through the day with a 1/2 hr nap) and resists sleeping anywhere but her cot...(hence the 1/2 hr nap)....I think that about sums it all up she is an absolute delight, have a lot of issues with Miss C being a bit over physical or possessive about toys. but Miss W does hold her ground pretty well.
Stay well all, and good luck to the girls TTC again...would love to be there but DH is adamant that there will be no more...
xJo
Hey Jo we should catch up soon let the bubbas have a play date! i know what you mean about the possesive toys part, theo has had many naughty corners for not sharing....High Five to still BFing! im not alone heehee
HEllo...Jo, good to see youre doing well. We have the toy issue too and a lot of pushing. I am trying to teach Olivia to tell Rebecca rather than shove! mmmmm! Glad youre still b'feeding too.
We have Becs injections on Friday, birthday on Tuesday, party the following sunday and checkup the following week....then dh and I are taking the girls to the wiggles. I went last year when Bec was about 2 weeks old and left her with dh....I remember sitting there holding onto my boobs coz they were ready to explode!!! Rebeccas on her last tin of formula and i am doing half formular and half cows milk. She is doing fine with this. By the weekend it should be straight cows milk. I am trying to cut her bottles down and dont want to be on bottles til shes 2 like Olivia was. Slowly slowly. She is definately eating more solids with less bottles. The girls have been doing well with sleep. Bec is sleeping through most nights and so is Olivia...I am so proud of Olivia. We have been toiltet training her with a pull up at night. SHe came in at 430 this morning asking to go to the toilet. Fantastic! Its so nice to have 1 in nappies!
Happy 1st Birthday to Mia today. Its kind of weird seeing the new sticky threads for November 16-30 2009......can believe its been a year. rebeccas birthday is on tuesday and we are doing her party next sunday. She had her needles on Friday and was fine...a bit sooky...to be expected.
I have started running on the c25k challenge...did my second run today and although i havent run in 16 years, I feel great! We are skipping this month for ttc.....however I am about to ovulate and last night I dreamt that I fell pregnant this cycle!!!
Must go and enjoy the morning before it warms up....I have my friends sons 1st bday party today to go to this arvo.
Happy Birthday to all the bubba's who've turned 1 this week!!!
We had Sienna's b'day party at 11.30 on Saturday and it was a great success. She was such a little angel. I could have throttled her in the morning, normally she goes down for a sleep around 9.30 and sleeps for 1-1&1/2 hours, but not this Saturday...nope she played in the cot for two hours, then slept for 20 minutes!! grrr!! So we were running late to her own party AND thinking that she was going to be a little grump, but she proved us all wrong and had a wonderful day. She was so funny with her b'day cake - she got right into it, even licking the plate clean. I've put some pics up on Facebook. She also got ridiculously spoilt so I'm trying to think of a polite way to tell friends and family: NO CHRISTMAS PRESENTS!!!!! So all in all it was a lovely day even if I was broke, exhausted and sunburnt at the end of it
As for development updates, Sienna still isn't walking on her own. She's happy to trot around for hours holding one hand, but as soon as we let go she drops to her bum on purpose coz she just doesn't have the confidence to step out on her own. In saying that, she has taken a few steps on her own, but only if she's really distracted, and as soon as she realises it, plop, she's back on her butt. We got her a push-along walker (not a sit-in one) for her b'day and she adores that, so hopefully that will help to build her confidence.
She's now fully on cow's milk, no more formula - woo hoo!! I think she actually enjoys the milk more than the formula coz she scoffs every single bottle, whereas before we swapped, she'd leave a fair bit in each bottle. Still sleeping thru most nights, but I think there are more teeth on the way as she has been a bit unsettled, calling out throughout the night, but then settling herself straight back to sleep. She still only has 5 teeth so she's definitly due for some more.
Will be booking Sienna in for her 12 month shots in the next week or so. Not looking forward to it of course, but these are the joys of parenthood!!
We had a chicken pox scare last week, Sienna attended a b'day party on the 7th Nov, then two days later one of the other kids broke out in spots. So far we've been clear, but apparantly it can take up to 21 days for symptoms to appear so fingers crossed. It's better for her to get them now than later but I still don't need the stress!!
Well I've done it again and written our life story!! Take care ladies, hope all the upcoming b'day parties are a great success xx
HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY REBECCA!!!! Hope you have had great day
Melly - Great to hear Sienna enjoyed her first birthday party. I know what you mean about the presents! Lara still isnt walking on her own either. She is doing pretty much the same as Sienna. DD1 never walked until 14 months so I know she'll eventually get there. Hope Sienna doesnt get the chicken pox. Lara has 8 teeth at the moment with more definitely on their way as we speak.
Went and visited my friend today, she had a baby boy 2 weeks ago. It was so hard to imagine that this time last year Lara was that small.
Happy Birthday Rebecca and Mia! hope you all got spoilt rotten
well i just wanted to brag that as of today i have be breastfeeding for 12MONTHS!!!! woohoo! omg never thought we'd make it this far its a vast improvement on the 3-4months that i managed with Theo.
we are going to enjoy a nice swim and relaxing today before i start getting ready for the big party next weekend! cannot wait, our 1st birthdays and christenings are usually just a massive party for the adults. it starts at 11 and will go on until about 8pm or later....i will be exhausted but it will be a blast
umm development wise Tallon has 6 teeth now (the top four having come through together in the last two weeks) can cruise any furniture but seems to have a lazy foot. Am going the Dr's next week for his vacs so will ask him about it then....he steps with one foot but then drags the other one...little bit worried but whatever happens we'll work it out. xoxo
Happy birthday too to anyone i missed....gosh remembering back this time last year birth announcements left right and centre! how the time has flown
