How are you going with the pinching and scratching whilst feeding, eza? Have you used my handy suggestion yet??
Not much news here, no sign of teeth. Miss P is much more mobile than she used to be, moving around and reaching for all sorts of things, lots of rolling. Still not crawling but Miss P will get herself up on all fours and rock back and forth. Still a hip hugger who wants me to carry her around at all times!
We had our 8 month check with the health nurse today. 7kg on the knocker! Miss P is quite small, just below the 10th percentile, but DD1 was below the 3rd percentile so I think I just have petite girls. Miss P has a nice chubby covering of fat on her so I am very happy with the way she is growing.
Eating is going really well, so far Miss P likes everything but tomato and yoghurt (what baby doesn't like yoghurt???). She loves a piece of cold apple out of the fridge to chomp on and it's the only way I can get the housework done - sit her in her highchair with apple and drag her around the house with me as I clean!
Miss P is quite sad that the big kids have gone back to school and she keeps looking for them during the day. She gets so excited to see them at pick up, it's lovely.
Hope you and your gorgeous bub's are all well!

I'm still trying Nickle. He doesn't like it when I grab his hand tho. I give him other things like a toy or anything that's in reach to distract him but then he keeps hitting me with it :( I have put him down a few times now.. I just hope he stops soon because I dread everytime he wants booby now.
I think it was about 2 weeks between the rocking back and forth to little crawling steps. Now he is crawling very well!! Follows me around the house everywhere..
Kaden has just woken.. will be back soon :)

Hey ladies!
nickle - cute how Miss P is excited at school pick up time. My DD has just started kindy and DS misses her so much - she does 2 full days and a half day. He is a little giggle machine whenever she gets home - so lovely to see!
eza - ouch on the pinching. DS is a little rough to me too - he bit me on the shoulder the other day and now I have a massive bruise - hate to think what he'll be like when he's a teenager! Gonna have to work out at the gym to keep him under control.
Still no crawling here, but he does seem to be getting frustrated at his limited ability to get around, so that's gotta be the first step, hey? He still does this porpoise like thing rather than getting up on his knees to move, which is just so funny and wrong! He's such a good little boy though, and I have to admit, I like it that he's still where I put him! Never happened with DD! Still, at his 8 month check, the nurse did say he was a little (tiny) bit behind - he should at least be able to get into crawling position now! Not worried, though, as he's a normal little boy in most other ways and was slow to roll.
-
eza - we had a mega pinching episode here the other night. Both of us ended up in tears. She just didn't understand, but I couldn't put up with the pain. So we put a sock on her hand, and she fell asleep within a minute.
No movement, no teeth. Same old! Happy with the no movement though - she's wearing heaps of gorgeous dresses.
-
awww Audax, not good :( Kaden has stopped pinching and hitting for now. I stopped feeding each time he started to do it, seemed to do the trick.
He is pulling himself up on almost everything now!! Side steps along the couch too. It's all happening so quick now..
Still only has the 1 tooth, the red, hot and dry cheeks are coming back tho so not long. Gave him some cold watermelon to chomp on yesterday, he loved it!!
ouch Nickle, a biter!! :( Kaden's bitten my boob a few times now, mostly when he is tired and cranky or have left it that little bit too long...
-
How is everybody doing?? It is waaaaay too quiet in here...
I just re-read your post *star* - 5 teeth?!! wow! lol. Still only 1 tooth here.
and yay HJ!! 1st tooth for Miss Emily :D
Kaden is so exhausting now!! He loves it when I chase him around the house! And he is such an outdoors boy as well. Always have to be doing something! His favourite at the moment is chasing to chooks everywhere around the house. So glad the days are getting warmer now, as much as I love the cold, it sucks when you can't play outside with the little one.
Work is going great also, doing 4 days now which works well, they aren't very long days (9am-3pm) so still get plenty of time with Kaden :D
MIL is driving me a bit batty lately tho, nothing bad on her part, I'm still not used to having someone else in the house all the time :( I like my space...
I'm knackered!! Off to get some shut eye...
-
Still no movement here! And no teeth. 8 months old tomorrow.
DD is a queen of the outdoors too. We went out for three walks today, and she sat outside ont he mat while I hung out and brought in the washing AND we stood on the porch watching the mowing man for ages.
Not much else to report. Moving house, maybe, if the contract we signed today holds up. Cross your fingers!

Ladies, we just don't talk enough in here!
Miss P gained a tooth this week, first one! Just the points are through. She had a couple of sooky and unsettled days but otherwise has been fine. Maybe it's the amber necklace!
Still no crawling but she will scoot backwards on her tummy. Not much direction to it and she gets frustrated when she runs into a wall and doesn't know hoe to go forwards!
Eating is going well and Miss P will have a go at whatever is put in front of her. Still doesn't like yoghurt, loves vege toast and loves cheese.
Latest favourite game is pulling off my boob and pincering my nipple between her thumb and finger. It hurts!! Habit I am determined to break quickly. Miss P was feeding yesterday and reached up and grabbed a handful of my hair and yanked it. It hurt! I instinctively cried out 'Ow!! No!!' quite loudly and her little face crumpled and she sobbed for about 10 minutes. I really don't let her cry so it broke my heart as well as hers!
Miss P has the cutest little wave going on and she has learned to kiss and make the sound. I woke up this morning to her slobbery kisses on my lips, which was lovely.
She says Ta, Dadda, Mumma, Ted-deeeee (Teddy, the dog) and yeahyeahyeahyeah. This morning she was working on toas-toas-toas-toas as she ate her vege toast!
Congratulations on the house move Audax! Hope it all goes well for you. We sold our house last Friday and we are also hoping things go smoothly! Looking forward to getting into our new house which is on some land, but not looking forward to the packing and unpacking!
I am back at work tomorrow, have three days this week of re-training. I will then just work a few weekend shifts as I can't bear the thought of putting Miss P in childcare. What if they let her cry??!!! DH has the next few days off to look after Miss P and then he'll be home on weekends when I'm working. Although it will eat into family time it means the kids will always have either DH or I at home and we don't need to rely on anyone else to look after the kids. DH starts early in the morning and is usually home by the time I get home from school pick up and I will only work three days a fortnight plus I get a couple of months holiday a year so we figure it will work OK and if not we will figure out something else! I feel ok about it all, but I'm worried Miss P will think I've abandoned her and I'm not sure how DH will settle her without the magic boob!
Better go climb into bed as I have to leave at about 7.30 tomorrow to be where I need to be for training!
Hope you are all well and your beautiful bub's are bringing you all plenty of joy!
-
tooth #2 has arrived!! :D Looks as tho it come up a couple days ago, the teething necklace must be doing it's job!
Fingers crossed Audax!
Ouch Nickle!! Wish you luck in breaking that Habit, the pinching AND hair pulling!! :(
-
hey ladies - agree, not much chatting in here!!! Guess we're all looking after bubs too well! Also sounds like a few of you are back at work, so even less time on your hands. Have to admit I'm dreading going back at end Oct. Sounds way too close for comfort. Boo.
eza - we're up to 7 teeth now!!! Seems good at growing teeth, hey. Bit backwards at the rest of the development stuff though!! Still not moving.
OK - this typing thing just isn't happening - 2 grumpy kids - going to take them to the park while the sun's out!
-
Hello everyone
So sorry i have been slack and not posting! have been busy with uni, assignments and delivering bubba's! :)
So our bubs are almost or over 9mths now! wow how fast does time fly! anyone planning their first bday yet?
Miss Emily is going really well, she is crusing furniture, can stand herself up in the middle of the room without holding on to anything, but not game enough to take that first solo step yet! She has 2 toothy pegs, loves her food! and is an awesome sleeper with 2 naps during the day and most nights a sleep through from 1845-0630ish! so definatly can not complain!
She also says Mum, Dad, Bubba, and the latest one today is Car, and she says it whenever she see's one!
How are all the other bubs going?
-
Hey,
Just a quickie! DS is on my lap and DD wants to play.
going well here, too. Yay for delivering bubbas, hj! Hope you're enjoying your job.
9 mths yesterday - he is pulling up to stand but still no crawling. Still 7 teeth - not sure when the matching 8th will arrive!
Planning 1st birthday a little bit - I love making cakes, so am doing an owl cake, that's it so far!
BFN!
BTW- DS says cat (well, "dat", but we know what he means!)
-
Star - i absoloutly love it! such a rewarding job!
and i think your DS might skip crawling and go straight into walking ;)
-
Glad you're enjoying it hj!
I'm going to encourage crawling - I've learnt that most kids need to go through crawling and those that walk first tend to have a bit of a crawling phase afterwards. Something to do with increasing the left - right brain connections. Important stage of development, anyway. And I think he's a while away from walking!
Have you started planning Em's first birthday?
-
Two bottom teeth here, the top two are coming but I suspect they will be another week or so.
Miss P is crawling, she explores the whole house! She crawls on her hands, one knee and one foot. She looks like a daddy long legs with a broken leg! She pulls up to standing and can stand unaided for a bit, but no cruising yet.
No new words but lots of different sounds.
She is really playing with DD1 and DS now and I love to watch them all and hear them giggle. She does a lot of passing stuff back and forth whilst saying 'ta'. Very cute!
She still doesn't sleep much during the day, but having said that, she is sitting on my lap and has just drifted off!
Hope you ladies and your gorgeous bubs are all well!

Good Morning Ladies :D
Alot of excited from me this morning. Firstly Kaden has one of his top teeth through, yay! That's 3 teeth now. Whilst playing with his car (the one's that they sit on and scoot along), he stood up and started walking with it! (although it kinda went a bit fast for him and he lost his legs lol) and when I was looking through pictures on the computer this morning, I came across one of him and I, he pointed to it and said 'mum'!! It was the cutest thing!! I even had a little tear! lol
Has had a bit of a cold the last couple days, just a runny nose so far, hope that's the extent of it. It could be due to him teething but the snot is green so not sure?
Have been thinking about starting TTC. I sooooo want another and I think I am ready. DP doesn't want another just yet so I have alot of convincing to do. I told him that I wanted to go off the pill and whatever happens happens, He didn't like that idea
So DP's first fathers day this wknd, not sure what we are gonna do yet. I bought him an ipod from Kaden, he has been wanting a new one for ages but is too tight to get one himself! lol
Awesome HJ! I had applied to UNI to do RN, with intention to do Midwifery after, but shortly found out later that I was pregnant with Kaden so I put it off for financial reasons. I will reapply one day, maybe after my next child.
Not much else, MIL is officially moved out!! So great to have house back! She does come back 3 days a week to babysit Kaden, only because she lives on the beachfront with no fence between her house and the beach, maybe when he is older lol
I'm off, gettin out of the house on this lovely day :)
-
YAY FOR KADEN  what a cleaver boy!!!!
And Eza im pretty sure that teething runny noses are clear..... but hey i could be wrong! what 3 teeth does Kaden have? Emily has 2 and i am just wondering where the next one might pop up? she has the bottom 2, her sister got bottom 2 first than top 2 so im thinking maybe the top will be next???
and how exciting about wanting to try for #2 already! your game ;) LOL if your looking for a student midwife...................... hahahaha
what uni did you apply through? i feel pregnant with Emily in my first year of uni and she arrived the day after my last uni exam for the year! perfect timing!
Nickle it is soooo cute listening to them play together isn't it! melts my heart listening to my 2 girls giggle! hope they still giggle together when they are teenagers! hahahaha
-
yeah i figured it might be a cold
Teeth in order of appearance  Bottom Right, Bottom Left, Top Right.
Top Left is almost there, it's very white so any day now :)
Hmm I think I would like that!! Stay tuned.... I applied through qut at Kelvin Grove but I think you can do it through Caboolture now, just not part time.
