nickle - cute way of crawling!!! It is so cute when the kids play together. I'm also hoping it lasts. I remember not being great friends with my brothers, but perhaps that was a lot later on? I'm going to encourage lots of love between my littlies, though - they'll be each others only siblings (unless there's a surprise in the wings!!)
eza - wow! How exciting for Kaden. We've just cleaned up DD's car thing for DS, but it will be a while before it's in use. And wow for thinking of TTC again! It took us ages to come to that decision. And as much as I'm enjoying DS being a baby, I'm finding lots of reasons that this will be our last. I'm going to be a great aunty when my brother's eventually get their acts together and have kids!
hj - yeah, I reckon top two teeth next. That's what DS did (mind you it was all pretty quick for him).
Well, DS is enjoying "walking" while we hold his hands and gets cranky until we do it with him. Hmmm perhaps he will be keen for that car walker thing sooner than I think!

I have gotten through our worst Wonder Week :( and man it was hard!! At least that's what I assumed it was. Kaden was grumpy, irritable, wouldn't sleep etc. Thank God he is back to his happy, playful little self. Still 3 teeth, the other top one looks like it's going to burst out!! lol.
Kaden has taken a step here and there but nothing solid.
Father's day was a lovely day, DP loved his pressie (ipod) and we spent the day at FIL, had BBQ, drinks etc.
I am a little confused and hoping someone has some advice. I have had 3 regular cycles now, still on the mini-pill. I was due for AF on/around the 6th (Tues). So far nothing. I did a test on Sat and got BFN. I might do another test in the morning. Kaden has gone off solids a bit and has been feeding more. Would that affect my cycles at all? I don't feel any different although my nipples have been hurting but that could be due to Kaden feeding more?

I was in your November Belly Buddies thread! I just thought I'd pop in and say hi, and see how you are all doing!
As you can see from my ticker I have another bubba on the way! Very excited! there will be 16 months difference.
Toby is doing really well such a little dude! I love being a mum it is so much fun! I just love all the firsts and watching him grow and learn it's so special. I gave him a chicken nugget last night and his facial expressions were so funny! At first he didn't understand it was food, but then he started munching on it and investigating it in between each bite! He is 10 months old now and has 5 teeth. Almost runs behind his walker and thinks he is just so clever for doing so. Hasn't been brave enough to take steps on his own yet but will walk holding just one of my hands.
Anyways I hope everyone is well and their bubbas good too :-)

Eza - Hmmm i wonder if Miss Emily just went through a wonder week too! she was horrible and difficult to get down to sleep! all is back to normal now though thank goodness!
have you tested again? maybe the fact that Kaden is feeding more again might be the cause of it???

all is well here, still only 2 teeth, and only a few steps here and there but cruises furniture really well and can stand up in the middle of the room! Miss Emily has really been a good baby! love her to bits! oh and the words!!! my gosh i think she is going to be a talker like her big sister!!! poor me! LOL

Hi Ladies!! How are we all?
We are going awesome at the moment :) DS has 5 teeth now and is WALKING!! (Not 100%, but more and more each day) He loves it! Get's all excited and tries to go really fast, very cute.
Still breastfeeding :dance: Before he was born I didn't think I was going to, or not for this long anyway!! Getting harder now with work tho, I don't have the chance to express and with doing more hours it's starting to take it's toll :( Hopefully I get through it for the next 2 months...
Congratulations SMEKKO!! I really want to try for another but DP isn't keen just yet...
Starting my first day at the gym today, doing a group class so I hope I survive it!! It will make me realise how unfit I am anyway... I aim to lose 10-15kg over the next 6-12 months. Gonna take it slow. The weather today is making it so hard to get motivated! Just wanna curl up and go back to sleep..

bub come down with a viral rash on tuesday (roseola), he is okay now, still has the rash, they think with his skin (he has daddy's pale skin) it might stick around for a while. So looks like I'll be under house arrest for another week!! Not cool...
Just saw my Mum this morning, she is officially moving back the Cairns :( :( All I can hope is that the ****head she is going back to will go back to his selfish controlling ways, then she might come back FOR GOOD!! She has really put me in a mood now..
I have loads of cleaning to do so better get motivated.. I hope someone comes in and keeps me company! ;)

Wooohooo on DS WALKING!!!! now he will keep you on your toes ;) and 5 teeth!!! we are still stuck on 2! and no walking yet, just one or two steps here or there!
poor bubba on having Roseola! how is he handling it?
Okay i can't believe i am saying this but i hope your mums partner goes back to his controlling ways too! sounds like he is no good for her and she is better off without him anyway :)

How are you handling working in the special care nursery? I imagine it would be pretty hard.. I hope it goes well :)
DS is handling it fine thank goodness, had a temp and was grizzly to start with but that's it. He is getting bored at home tho because I won't take him anywhere until the rash clears...

i have surprised myself actually! i was quiet worried about working in special care but i love it! the parents are amazing and the babies are just devine!
i remember when poor DD1 got hand foot and mouth disease (thanks to a no longer friend) and i wouldn't take her anywhere until the rash cleared up! you get lots of weird looks from other people with a rashy child and they always think the worse!
Is anyone planning first birthdays yet?

We are heading up to Hervey Bay. Most of DS cousin's are up there and I wouldn't mind the family catch up :) Not going all out tho, just a quiet one. Will make next years a bigger one.
So it's my birthday today and I spent it working til 5:30 in the rain most of the day :(. Every year I pick out something for DP to get me because he doesn't have a clue! This year I told him to surprise me and he gets me an external hard drive......... REALLY???? I mean the thought counts and I spose it's handy to have one but REALLY??? I even hinted how I needed a new hair straightener or would love Jessie J tickets and other things. From now on I will picking out my own pressies... lol

when i was growing up mum always let me have the day off school on my bday if i wanted it, and than i kept that going with work! hehehee i don't think we should have to work on our bdays! but than you get cake and presents, did work spoil you?
Kaden is lucky to have cousins, my girls don't and if they every do there will be a massive age gap! LOL can't see my brothers having kids anytime soon and my SIL has just seperated from her husband!
We are doing a biggish birthday for Emily, not sure what yet though!

Happy birthday for yesterday, eza! An external hard drive?? A born romantic, your DH... lol.
Sounds like your are doing a great job at work, hj. I'm glad you're enjoying it! I also work in medical and kids are my favourite patients. I went back to work about 6 weeks ago, three shifts a fortnight, only weekends so that Miss P doesn't have to go to CC. I went back a bit earlier than I did with the other two kidlets but my long service leave ran out and so it just seemed like the right time. I'm really enjoying it and it's lovely for the kids to have time with DH being their primary care giver. He loves it too and I know it makes him more appreciative of the job I do at home.
We moved house last week, was a huge and stressful time! We have moved from a suburban area to 2.5 acres just out of the 'burbs with a big country style weatherboard house. The house is currently being painted, carpets and window furnishings replaced etc., so we are currently living in a self contained apartment on the property and most of our stuff is in storage. It's really frustrating not being able to nest in the 'big house', but I know the result will be worth the wait. Patience is not one of my strongest qualities!!
The kids have all coped well with the move and the big 'uns are very excited. They get up in the morning and check the chooks for eggs and come home from school and ride around and around the property on their bikes, collecting sticks to make a fire and generally having a good kid time. Miss P has adjusted well to the move. Because we are co-sleeping we haven't had any issues - bed is wherever mumma is!!
Miss P is in the process of cutting her 5th and 6th teeth. She was a bit dribbly yesterday, but otherwise all good. Maybe the teething necklace or maybe just good luck! She is cruising around all the furniture and can stand unassisted for ages, but I don't think she has taken any steps yet. DD1 said the other day she had taken 3 steps, but I reckon if I don't see it, it doesn't count!!
Miss P turns 1 on November 23. My brother is getting married in Adelaide on November 18 so we will be in Adelaide all of that weekend. I expect we will just have a small family party this year as we will all be tired from the wedding. I'm really looking forward to it, I love a wedding and DD1 is flower girl so she is beside herself with excitement. My brother doesn't have any kids and I was really worried about what we would do with the kids during the wedding as obviously all the family will be there. We weren't sure whether we would take our babysitter with us from Melbourne or whether DH would stay with the kids and miss the wedding. He would hate to do that, but the kids have to come first. Anyway, it doesn't matter because although the wedding is kid-free, my kids and my nieces (11 and 13) are invited. As my brother said 'like I would get married without my nieces and nephew!!'. Phew, crisis averted!!
Still BF, Miss P loves the boob. Can't see her weaning any time soon! My mother (who has been overseas since March but is coming back for the wedding) will be horrified, she asked me at 6 months if I had weaned yet!! After all, she said, she's getting far too big to still be BF. At 6 months!!!
Well, Miss P is singing my song. Looking for that boobie she's far too big for!!
Oh, smekko, huge congratulations, how exciting!! Any one else thinking about another one? We haven't decided yet whether to try for number 4, but I think it will be another year or so if we do. We're pretty undecided at this point. I think I will always be clucky, it will be DH who says 'no more'!! I am satisfied with my three if we decide not to go again. One more would be nice, though!!

and wow thats a big change for you with the move! but your bubba's will love it! what a funfilled life they will have on acreage! and tell Miss P to stop cutting teeth! we are still on on 2 here!
that is sweet what your brother said! but he has a good point though, how can he get married without his nieces and nephey :) im sure they will be good and have a great time!

AFU = i am one of those mums that still likes to fill in her baby red book! i got Emilys measurements done today, as i do now monthly, and in one month she has put on 500grams and has grown 4cm!!!! Hmmm me thinks she has had a massive growth spurt! for her height she is over the 97th percentile and her weight is on the 75th! i think we are going to have a tall bubba girl here!

Hey crew! Happy belated birthday eza!
We finally got teeth here, at 9 months. They just popped up with not much fuss. No real crawling here, just a limited amount of bum shuffling and a bit of worming about. Just mobile enough to keep herself entertained getting into the bin and the bathroom shelves!
Glad your move went well nickle! Ours was not entirely smooth, could have gone a lot better, but we're in now and almost unpacked. DD coped really well and is sleeping better than ever at the new place - no more catnaps and even sleeping through the night! Yahooo! After all the turmoil of the last two months - my mum getting sick and us visiting her, then DD getting sick, then packing up the old house, then our boat holiday in Vic, then unpacking - everything seems a little too quiet and easy now that it is starting to settle down. It has got us thinking about number 2, already! I'd never thought I would be keen so soon, but we faced such a wait to have DD that I figure we may as well start a bit early and see how we go.
We are still BFing, although we're down to about 4 feeds a day now, and they're not big sessions. DD is a massive eater, loves anything green and most kinds of fruit. You don't want to stand between her and a strawberry!
hj - I am shocking for growth measurements! Our local clinic had a fire and I don't really know where else to go so I haven't been since 6 months! Might need to do that soon. Meanwhile, Miss Em is HUGE!

Audax - yay for DD sleeping through the night :) its such a good feeling isn't it! and yay on thinking about #2! how exciting! wish we were thinking about #3 but no 2 is enough for us :)
And Miss Em is Huge!!! she is 79cm tall and 10.1kgs! compared to her sister at the same age she was 76cm tall but around the same weight just under! that is sad about your local clinic :( can you go to the chemist? that is what i do, they have a child health nurse that comes once a week and does all the weighing etc...
Oh and guess what everyone??? WE ARE WALKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay :)

Glad your move went well Audax and sleep is proving successful for all!! Another week for us before our stuff arrives. Getting very frustrated, not being in the house...
Miss P took two steps unassisted last night but nothing since. I'm looking forward to her walking so that she keeps her clothes clean, but a bit sad that my baby is growing up!! She is still very much a snuggly bub, and her favourite place in the world is mumma's hip, so I guess she will be my baby for a while more!! My DD1, who is 8, still likes to sit on mumma's hip. She is now a bit over 20 kg, so carrying her around is becoming a challenge!
Miss P was almost 7.5kg last time I weighed her, a few weeks ago. Not sure of her length. I think I make small girls!! Don't care, as long as they're healthy and happy!
