raven - omg that's a HUGE sleep!! i am shaking my head in disbelief!! hehe - how come my little man can only manage 3 hours max?!?! :doh: did she empty all the milk? i would have had to express for sure. my scar is not hurting anymore - it got better within a couple of days but now i have mastitis. i'm really surprised i haven't gotten it sooner. i am so prone to it. it's such a mystery to me though - i do all the right things and it's not as if he is having big sleeps. the doc said it's usually from bacteria getting in from a graze or crack on the nipple. i just wish i didn't get it - i'm so over spending most of my time on antibiotics while breastfeeding :cry:

mini - hmm a random prank call is just what u need..NOT! what an idiot! :angry: speaking of weight i surprised myself the other day and jumped on my mils scales. i'm about 2 kilos off my pre-pregnancy weight. just got to lose some more around the middle. i'm sure i can get there if i stay away from all the xmas chocolate in the house!! ;)

LAura- ouch on the mastitis. I had it last time and lucky enough to escape it this time. Its pretty awful isnt it? Hope you get better soon. I agree with you on the sleep thing...more than 3 hours would be nice. Lucky you to be close to your pre pregnancy weight. My trouble is all the crap in the cupboard...so I am going to eat it all and then start on my diet!!!lol. I am so bad at dieting. Just looking at the Conours fitness thing, might have to do something like that.

Well its a lovely day today...lots of washing to do and got to entertain Olivia, coz shes ferral again! Hope its just her teeth:pray:

Laura owies :( A few times I've had it and have no idea how either. That's nice about the weight. I have no idea about mine but can fit into a 10 but I don't want to be pre preg weight because i was too skinny. My belly looks a bit of a mess after 4 kids though.

Melissa lol at eating all the crap first ;) I said the same thing and then opened the last box of xmas choc last night.

Well little miss hasn't slept that long again but she is doing 6-7 hours. I ended up with a headache the other day and I think it was due to having more sleep than I was used to :rolleyes: Can't frigging win!
I noticed in the last few days she is getting a roll on her upper thigh and a double chin too. Nice to see her beefing up but makes me sad she is losing her newborn looks.

Sorry i haven't been on here for awhile but i have been lurking and keeping up to date with what everyone is up too.

1180 - I know exactly how you are feling in regards to a whinging 4 year old and a newborn i am in the same position. I swear Brearna has got worse over the past couple of weeks and i am sure she is going through the stage of wow this bub is here to stay so where do i fit in, but even though it has a reason for it it still does your head in. I am finding that my patience is very thin and i feel bad as i feel like i am constantly yelling at her and i hate that feeling but with tiredness and whinging it sometimes is hard to cope.

Minimatron - i totally agree with you about DH. My DH is great for passing the bub to whoever comes through the door at feeding time, letting him cry...saying i couldn't hear him, forgetting to change his nappy...i couldn't smell anything, and not getting up through the night meaning he misses every feed between the hours of 8:30pm and 7:00am. My one major gripe i have wiht him at the moment is he is always complaining that he is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO tired :wall:but he sleeps from 8:30/9pm right through until 6:30/7am everyday, me i get 1-4 hours of broken sleep throughout the night.

Raven - I am so jealous that your little one is sleeping 6-7 hours but it is great for you:clap:. I agree with you about losing their newborn looks. Jaylan is so much more alert now and i think he is losing his newborn looks(which i love) but he is still little but somedays he looks big.

littlelalla - Sorry to hear to have mastitis. i had it with Brearna but haven't had it with Jaylan. i know the medication i went on wasn't as strong as what they usually prescribe because i am alergic tp penicillian so they couldn't give it to me. Goodluvck with it though.

Leigh - How did you go with bub's needles? i hate the needle thing it gives me shivers everytime they do them. When jaylan is due for his, brearna will be due for her 4yr ones too so the clinic has suggested thast i do both together. i am so not looking forward to that day, maybe dh might be able to come as it doesn't effect him as much. hope bub didn't have any reactions and all is good.

AFM - Well Jaylan is doing ok. He is having alot of tummy pain due to the formula and constipation. On Saturday i had ahd enough so i took him to the chemist and they gave me some colxyal drops to put in his bottles. It sometimes works but he is still having pain. I am heading to the clinic tomorrow to see if they cna help because the poor little guy is in so much pain it is rediculous. Lat night he was awake for 3 hours between his feeds as he just couldn't settle to sleep:doh:. I jsut cannot believe how quickly he is growing he is already 5 weeks old...wow where does the time go? Other than that things are pretty normal here, i am really tired but trying to get through........ it like we all are. I have been thinking of having another bub but of course not yet where this is a big change for me as i wasn't going to have anymore after Jaylan's birth...short but traumatic. This is the only thing that i am worried about, as he wasn't breathing when he was born due to shock of a 1hr 10 min labour, plus i had GD and was on insulin and all that scares me but i guess i don't need to worry about it at the moment but i guess it is in my forehead as i am 35 yrs old. Well i have to book in for my GTT test for this Friday as Jaylan will be 6 weeks so i am hoping that will come back clear and all will be good.

Hey everyone just a quick one here....

I gained 5kgs when BF?ng my first so atm im just happy to be staying the same, im only 10kg above pre preg where as last time i ended up 25kg so am happy. But i have a whole summer wardrobe cuz i got a work bonus wich was a $500 gift voucher for westfields so spent 200 on an electric pump and then 300 on clothes and got ones that i can either were when i loose weight or are easy to altrt (MIL an awesome seamstress)

Well kids are great, Theo is starting to behave a better wich is good. Tallon is just perfect in everyway! and growing WAY too fast.

Me and hubby are still doing terribly. Since i was preg and bought the breast pump it has been agreed that i could drink on nye as my welcome back to society. Every year we have celevrated with his friends but this year we got to gether with some of my old school friends because it was the oly child friendly place...any way long story short Dh was Designated Driver but got there and drank 5****tails and said looks like we're sleeping the night to wich my reply was "No looks like i ahve to drive because i didn't bring enough feeds for Tallon because i presumed that sleeping over with two kids was out of the question and both of us cant drink as someone needs to be responsible for the kids" So even though it was meant to be my new years with my friends for a change he took over got plastered and i spent the countdown by myself in the house because he went with everyone else down the street to watch the fireworks.....sounds petty and im not that ****ed about not drinking it was just the wya he did, gave me no choice.

He still hasn't booked the counselling and that was the condition on him moving back home so we spoke on friday and i told him what i would like him to do and gave him two weeks to do it otherwise its over.....so who knows i might be a single mumma soon :(

anywho not going to vent here (anymore that i already have...) But hope everyones bubbas are doing well xoxo

happy new year to you all! hope it was a good one :) ours was quite mellow - just a bbq at a friends house. i got absolutely caned by mozzies - at least they got NYE feast!!! ochre is doing ok - he has chicken pox! his big bro must have passed it onto him when he had it a few weeks back. its a very mild case tho - he would only have about 6 spots. one big one on his cheek but as he's a baby at least we dont have to worry about him continually scratching it. he has been a bit grumpy and i think the snotty nose that goes with it bothers him more but last night he did a few 2 hour blocks sleep and one 3 hour block and went back to sleep straight away so for me that's a good night! he's still feeding every 2.5 to 3 hourly but at least it's draining my boob (which is feeling much better thanks to antis). i have been sleeping ochre on his belly - anyone else doing that? he just loves to sleep on anyones chest and one night out of sheer desperation and no sleep i popped him in bed with me on his belly and he went straight to sleep. so i've been doing that ever since and he self settles really quickly like that - on his back he grunts and carries on for ages. ochre had his 6 week checkup the other day. he is now 5.5kgs. everything looked good except one eye was a little slower than the other one so doc said she would recheck at 3months. anyone else done the 6 week check yet?

mini - lol at the feral comment. my second ds is very feral at the moment. he's going thru a silly boy stage. it's hilarious but very tiring - it's like dealing with 3 children in one! thank goodness DH is home to give him that extra attention he is craving at the moment.

trac- how did u go getting something for jaylan - is he getting some relief now? on the other thread (dec 1st-15th) one of the mums has been having success with Brauers Stomach Calm. it says it for 6months and older but she said she got the all clear to use it. i use brauers colic relief and infants friend and it certainly gets the farts out.

smoz - oh babe i hope he does get onto counselling - how are you coping by yourself? i would be a mess by now! good to know the kids are being good for you. i did have one glass of champers on nys...not a big drinker but i really like Bella Yellowglen champagne :)

Laura your poor little man and his chicken pox, hope it clears up soon. I just had our 6 week check up and all is good. The gp didnt weigh Rebecca though so will have to wait til next week for that. I doubt she'll be much over 4kgs yet...shes a little tacker. Shes settled down after a few days of 2 hourly feeds, last night I got 4 hours straight, then another 3 hours. Shes done a 4 hour feed today. Tomorrow we go for her ultrasound for her hip, then next week we see the specialist. Am hoping she wont have to wear a harness like her big sister, but if she does we will deal with it.

Olivia is at my mums for 2 nights...I miss her already and she only went this morning.

Better go and clean!!!

Hello just popping in to see how everyone is. We are ok, just been through a growth spurt. Rebecca now smiles at us when we talk to her and shes had quite a few chuckles and noises while she hits out at her mobile. Shes in 000 clothes now, I cant believe how much she has grown. We have her 2 month needles next week...not looking forward to it, I always cry!!!! Oh and my whoopsie turned out to be negative...yay, so now I am back on the pill....eww...its making me feel fluey and a bit nauseous, which it hasnt done before, so if i still feel like this by next Tuesday (I'll have been on it for a week), then I will go back to the doctors for something else.

Hi, just wanted some feedback from others with bubs about the same age. As this is my first I have no idea what 'normal' is, not that all babies are the same but it might help my sanity a bit.

I was wanting an idea of how often your feeding and if you know how much that would help too. Lucus is on a 3 hrly cycle (his choice and his like clockwork) day and night and he seems happy on 80ml of EBM or formula in a feed so we assume that his eating that much when its direct breast feeding.

My worry is that his cycle should be starting to move to 4 hrs but there is no budging him and at that rate his getting about 640ml a day and his only 3.2kg. You'd think that he would have a full happy tummy and be content enough to sleep an extra hr or something. By the time we deal with the feed and changing etc his up 1 1/2 to 2 hrs out of the three which means were fairly exhausted by now.

Please either let me know that it ends soon or that I am not the only one in this boat????
I know littlelalla75 mentioned she's on a similar cycle and Melissa had it down to 2 for Rebecca's growth spurt. Lucus did have a 24hr period of 2hrly feeds at the begining of last week but it hasn't gone to 4hrs yet.

Ok thats enough from me hope your all happy and healthy, I love the facebook photos that get put up. I can't wait till my little runt starts getting that chubby baby look cause I'll know where through the worst of it then.

Hi girls! Thought I'd say g'day and post a quick update...

All is going well here...our little princess is such a calm baby compared to DS...it's amazing how different they are! She is feeding every 2-4 hours depending on if I can get her to sleep between feeds or not (which is very uncommon - she has a lot of wind problems and rarely sleeps during the day) but at night she is going 3-6 hours between feeds. She's BF but hubby has also given her some FFs when I've been too buggered or sick...and because we want her to take a bottle later on.

We're having a huge problem with her wind though...she can't seem to get the burps up... I've tried Infacol (and Infants Friend) but she still has so much trouble...she falls asleep, we lay her down and within minutes she wakes up crying in need of a burp...sometimes we get a little burp up but generally not enough...even after trying for half an hour or more. Any suggestions?? DS had the same problem but his turned out to be reflux as well...

mit - hey hon great to hear from you - lucus sounds like he is doing well. ochre also feeds every 3 hourly around the clock and we sometimes (if we are lucky!) get a 4 hour sleep block in the night. in the other thread (Dec 1st -) i asked the same question and it seems like the EBM and FF babies are drinking around 80 to 120 on average. but every baby is different and i was only just reading the other day that some babies have smaller bellies and therefore need feeding more frequently than others. i know what it's like - you feed burp feed burp change and then before u know it you are back doing it again. ;)

ssmiles - we are having lots of wind issues too. it's becoming annoying when his farts wake him up and it takes a lot of time to re-settle him. not sure how well infacol, infants friend or the colic relief are working either. im wondering if it's something im eating - chocolate probably!! ive also noticed he is taking sooo long to bring up a burp. and he is also not pooing every day either so when he's due for one he gets very upset before the big event happens!! today he has been rather grumpy and im putting it down to the 'wonder week'. :doh:

mini - contraception is the pits isn't it!! the pill makes u sick, condoms are annoying - ahh there is never an easy solution. ochre is a real smiler too. his smiles are gorgeous and i love the little 'coos' he does. :)

MIT- Olivia, my first dd, was feeding 2 hourly up until around 14 weeks and I was buggered, then she decided she could sleep a whole 8 hours....I was at my wits end by then. Rebecca cluster feeds in the morning and night, so that means 2 hourly feeds during those times and at other times she can last 4 hours or so. Shes taking between 80 to 140mls of ff. It does end.....

BF'ing going well here still fussy attacher on the right side but not every feed now so thats great and i have learnt how to breastfeed lying side by side on the bed so can now nap whilst feeding :D

I'm not sure what a 'normal' weight gain is (I have 100-150g a week in my head for some reason) but my little princess is now 6 kgs so she's put on 1.1 kg since birth (almost 7 weeks old).

Interesting to hear that other bubs are having wind problems too...I'm glad it's not just us. I wish there was an easy way to burp them...I'm sure Kaitlyn would be a great sleeper if she could get the burps up.

Guess what? Kaitlyn did actually sleep for 7 hours last night...oh my gawd!!! She hadn't slept since 11 am (12 hours with nothing more than 10 minute cat naps) so she was buggered but oh wow, it was so nice that she slept so long... I hope she sleeeps long stints more often, but it would be nice if she'd also sleep during the day...hehe...never happy. ;)

oh thats good to hear....tallon has put on 120g a week since coming home from hosp. but only 800g i 800g total i think since coming home and he's 7wks....have only been using my home scales so only appx...going to the child health nurse today so will find out for sure then but its always a worry when bf'ing

MIT it does get better so hang in there :hug: You could try feeding him a bit more frequently. Maybe 2 hourly for a couple of feeds during the day to get a bit extra into him.

Melissa I was wondering about your oopsie! Hope you feel better soon and it's just your body adjusting to the hormones.

Ruby has a lot of wind too. I have a good burping solution that I found by accident. I carry her with her back against my tummy. One hand supporting her bum and the other under her chin and walk around the house. As long as I keep her back straight it comes up.

She had health centre on Thursday and is now 4.5 kilos, so that makes a smidge under 1 kilo weight gain since birth (800ish grams in 3 weeks though). She has also grown from 50.5cm to 56cm in length.

I think I must have a gutz, Elise put on 1 kg almost exactly from week 1-3, her birth weight was 3.295 and when I took her it was 4.27kg,
I am taking her tomorrow to see how much weight she has put on from week 3-4.
She had a third chin now and leg rolls and wrist rolls, turning into a nice little chubba :)

Nice sleep SSmiles I hope she keeps it up for you and has a nap through the day.

MIT hang in there like Raven said it does get better, he's probably just catching up from not eating properly early on.

the head midwife who did home visits said they like babies to put on 100gms to 150gms a week so you are right. but i was also told that the graphs that come with the blue book have all been based on formula fed babies so if you are breastfeeding you shouldn't worry too much about where your bubs sits. ochre was last weighed at 6 weeks and he was 5.5 kg so from his birth weight he has put on 1.5 kgs. :)

oh thats good to hear....i just worry cuz both my babies have long skinny legs and arms and everyone is always laughing at them and the you have the ignorant person who asks if he is getting enough milk....uuugghhh it does my head in. he ishealthy he is gaining weight and his has fat onhis arms and legs its just that they are long thst that look skinny

Hello to you lovely ladies and kisses to your bubs. I've finally found my way over to this thread! Hi, I'm Rachel with my DD Harriet. I know some of you from my BellyBuddies group, hello to those of you I haven't met before.

Things have been crazy busy for us since Harriet arrived (hence why it's taken me so long to come on over into this thread). My sister arrived from the UK with her DF just after Harriet was born. They got married on 29th December, so with that and Christmas it's been non-stop partying with friends and relos for weeks now. DH and I (mostly me) made their wedding cake, a two tier traditional fruitcake (my own recipe) with fondant icing. It was massive, the bottom layer took 6 hours to cook! And the three of us were in the wedding party too (Harri just slept in her capsule).

Harriet is great, we love her more every day. DS is just delightful with her, lots of kisses and cuddles and he really makes sure she's part of the family. She's a bad feeder and sleeper. I've had a cracked nipple and mastitis and she's just hopeless at attaching, coming on and off, twanging my nipple, sucking it back in, argh!!!!. So different to DS! She's getting plenty though, I have a huge supply and she's over 5kg now. Yeah, and she usually wakes 3 hourly at night (sometimes more often, sometimes less), I guess that's not too bad (it could be worse).

Anyway, I'm enjoying the sunny weather for washing now that I've got two in cloth nappies (I wouldn't have it any other way though).

well went to the CHN yesterday and got a lot of Q's answered....bubs has overextension in his muscle wich was because of the fast labour his neck and shoulders were impacted....basically he is very tense and stiff so i have to massage him twice a day. He also has a very high Pallette in the roof of his mouth and his tongues not comming forward due to the tight muscel thing and again with the muscles he's not openning his mouth properly so i have to massage his face and tongue

great to get some answers about why he is a fussy attacher, was also told because my boobs were so perky and firm (great complimant) that i really have to lift bubs high to get the right angle...will give it another week and then i might as her about using a nipple sheild to help give him something to latch onto better because as you can see in my ticker he takes the entire nipple and areola in his mouth but its not enough for him to latch onto cuz they are so little :( (not so much a compliment) aarghh

Rach- welcome back, sounds like a busy time.

Went to the MCHN today and Rebecca is now 4.5kgs...she has put on 875gms in a month. Shes now 55.5cms. Shes doing all the right things so am happy at that.

I know that Isabella was bron in December but all my bellie buddies are here so im gunna sneak into this threat instead! SHHH

Bella is just a wonderful baby! She is so placid and nver really cries unless hungry or nappy change. She is smilling all the time now and she squeels and giggles and just generally talks to us all the time! Its great to interact with her!
She loves getting on her play matt and kicks and even rolls onto her side!! She is jsut SO special! We love her to death!!

She was 3.6 kg when born and at her 4 week check was 4.6 so a nice 1 kg gain over a month! She is now 57 cms long and above average in all her charts so I am very very happy with that!

My milk never came in so she is fully formulatr fed and thriving on it! She has just started drinking 150ml per feed and sleeps approx 3-5 hrs between feeds at night and sleep off and on during the day so I am very very happy with that!

I hope everyone is doing very well and I hope to check in to this thread when I can!

We had troble with wind to at the start but once we found Infacol we have had no probs at all - I just take her feeds slow and burp her a few times each feed and that works really well for her.

Had 6 week checkup today! All is well, stitches have healed fine. Feels like a chapter has closed in my life seeing as I'll probably never see my OB again. I got a bit wistful talking to a lady who is due next week.
Had a chat about PPH and while I'd like to know why it happened exactly I am happy enough to have it put down to one of those things. Not having any more babies so it really doesn't matter in a way. Poor clapped out old uterus :rofl:

Hello all you busy mums out there,

Just thought I would pop in seeing both my girls are asleep. We are good. Rebecca had her needles on Friday and was a bit grizzly after, but slept most of the day. Last night was great...we went to a bbq and she was awake the whole time and I fed her at 11pm when i got home and she slept til 6am, then til 9am. Oh I feel good after a decent sleep.
AF arrived for me on Thursday:( Its been yuck and I have been very miserable and teary. I still feel nauseous at times, I was on the pill for all of 5 days then came off it coz I felt yuck and I still feel a bit yuck. I did a pg test at the gp and it was negative...am wondering if I should do another one...even with af here. Any thoughts??? I suppose I should go back and see my gp for a check up.

Rebecca had her hip review on thursday and we have to go back in 6 weeks to check the left hip as it has some rounding to it. Hopefully it will fix itself up.

Update from me...Ruby has that awful rash on her face ATM :( She's been sleeping through really well but for the last couple of nights has been a bit hard to settle during the day and at night she's not bombing out till nearly 11. Not sure if it's got something to do with me eating too much chocolate or it's a growth spurt. I can't find my Wonder Weeks book to look at what developmental stage could be doing it either.
DH has got some guts and gone and visited a vacectomy clinic! Got his first appointment on Feb 13th :D

hope u are having a good weekend. my day started out fine then i was hit with full on flu like symptoms - achey all over, shivering, goosebumps etc. i am praying i dont have mastitis again - i only just finished antibiotics about a week ago for the last bout! ochre has not been sleeping well atm so im probably run down. he is averaging about 2.5 hours of sleep blocks thru the night. do they go thru growth spurts at 8 weeks? ochre had the rash on his face too - i think it's just hormone rash. his has cleared up already. sorry for no personals ...i am just too tired today. hello to all the new members on this thread :)

Mini- Maybe go to the dr? I went on the mini pill and felt SO SICK so I had to go off it after a few days. I got AF on Sat :( so not preg. We are just doing the Withdrawal method at the moment though.

littlelalla- i hope you get more sleep soon, poor thing :(

Raven- I felt really sad leaving my OB aftr the 6 week check too. Felt like that chapter of my life had closed too, even though I know I will be back there one day. I will just miss going for all my check ups and all the lovely staff there etc :(

We have to have another ultrasound on Mia's hip on Feb 9th. Like Mini, there is some rounding on her left hip, so need to get it checked!

Hope everyone is well and is getting some sleep. I wish I was right now but Mia is wide awake and ready to play! grrr.

HEy all...well it was only one night of good sleep then back to the usual and I am so tired and grumpy today, I have yelled at Olivia already a few times and its just past 10am......not good!!!

Sam- will just have to wait and see with the hips...its much more promising than Olivias hips were at all, so good I suppose.

Lucus and I are hidding from the heat in the office today - we've put the portable a/c in there as its the coolest room besides the bathroom. His fast asleep in his pram and not fussing which is the main part.

Well DH is off doing training for three weeks (he does come back on weekends but his a wreck so no use at all). Thank goodness my mum's come down to help or i'd be rather emotional right now.

Finally got the courage to DTD, no idea how the jokes are supposed to be true but I'm tighter now than before???? WTF its going to take a while till that feels ok again. Still sitting with the mini pill prescription and not sure if I want to take it or not. I was kinda going to let nature decided when I had bub number two as it too a while to fall pregnant first time so I didn't want to get all worked up with TTC #2.

As a result I was just going to DTD and see as I am breast feeding and last time my naturally high prolactin levels where what stopped my getting pregnant (and thats one of the main hormones ATM in my system as you know). I kinda feel like I should be trying out for the worlds biggest idiot awards as that would be hard work but when is it ever easy raising kids.

There are pros and cons all ways and I really just give up trying to "get it right" if I do then my kids grow up close together and I take a hit or they are further apart (still can be close but not the same way) and I get a break but have to do each stage for longer. I guess if I had had a hard labour and recovery I would be more reluctant.

Other than that Lucus is eating well and putting on weight, still tiny and not on the charts but his trying hard to catch up - with some luck he'll get there sooner rather than later.

Thats it for now - someone wants a nappy change NOW!

hey everyone long time now speak...just a quick catch up glad to hear everyones bubs are venturing into that longer sleep stage even if it is only once off for now...

...Soo tired on this end. Tallon sleeping wonderfully (feed him at 10:30 then doesn't wake till 6am on average) but Theo has started the nightmare stage and is waking at 3/4am screaming so am getting no sleep.....

Also looking to move as have had an attempted break in (whilst we were home i think getting up to feed tallon must of scared them off) and our tyres got slashed friday just gone...all because i called the police on our neighbours because he was threatening to stap a guy walking through the ally behind our townhoue....dont konw how they knew it was me but its the only explanation we got....good job DH was driving otherwise we would of crashes as both back tyres blew out as we were going onto the freeway at 80km/hr

Marriage is on the rocks....start counselling this friday who know what will happen. Though being a single mum is seeming quite appealing atm.

Tallon is getting better at feeding will get him weighed tomorrow and see how he went with weight this week as it feelsl ike he's put on heaps...if i can get him to gain 150gr a week ill be happy regardless of what the CHN says (she wants 180 - 200) but we are getting proper gorgeous giggles now its just magic

Hello everyone!

Thought I'd pop in and say hello.

Zane had his needles last Friday. He cried when the needle went in, but once we left he was fine. He was a little unsettled that night, but now hes back to normal. I noticed that ever since he had his needles hes had green diarrhea. If he still has it by tomorrow I'll speak to my doctor.

Well Zane is now 6.2kgs 58cm long and his head is 42cm.. hes growing so BIG!!!
Hes been sleeping through since the 3rd week so I've had it pretty good :) He sleeps a good 10 hours a night and doesnt even cry in the morning lol.

Hope your all doing well.. the babies in this group are gorgeous! :p

Thought I'd pop in and say hello, not a lot of time for posting these days but occasionally get a chance to read how everyone is going.

Smoz - OMG that sounds frightening, glad that no-one was hurt. Sorry to hear that things have been rough on the home front.

All going well here, Willow is growing really well and starting to develop her own little personality and growing very quickly. Had her needles last week, seemed to cope ok a little bit whingy and a few red spots but otherwise no major reactions. Is already over 5kg (5.1 last week). Lots of smiles now which is lovely. Sort of sleeping through still have to establish a feeding routine as I just feed whenever she wants it which seems to be at very different times every day.

Gotta go take care girls.

All is well here, just hectic and hard to get a chance to post but that is life with a newborn :)

Jo - How is Charlize liking having a baby sister? My DD1 is the same age as Charlize and cant get enough of Lara. She is a really good helper for me too. Sometimes I think she thinks she is Lara's mum :lol:

Hi to everyone else I missed, hope you and your bubs are all doing really well!!! They are growing so quick aren't they. God I remember when we were all going for our 12 wk scans. I actually do miss being pregnant sometimes - think coz I know Lara is my last baby.

Leigh - Charlize loves her little sister to bits but I do have to be very careful I don't turn my back as she can be a little too "loving" with her cuddles etc. She has her own "babies" and follows around doing the same things that I am doing with Willow (including putting the doll to her bellybutton to give her baby "miwk" - suckling noises and all!!)

Had my 40th birthday party this weekend and both girls behaved beautifully, was a little worried that Willow might be cluster feeding all night but after a few cuddles she slept through. She absolutely refuses the bottle though (EBM) so had to make sure I stuck with the de-alcoholised wine.

Does anyone else have any trouble with BF babies taking a bottle of EBM? She won't take a dummy either. I have tried a couple of different shapes of teats but even if she is starving hungry she will just push it out of her mouth or gag on it. I had no trouble with DD1 with either a dummy or a bottle so not sure how to approach this issue (had my Mum (former maternity RN) and a friend both trying to feed her also over the weekend but no-one had any success. Am really keen to hear all suggestions, have been trying on/off since she was about 2 weeks old!

Better go sounds like Charli has got out of bed (yet again) ...some nights it's after 9pm before we can get her to sleep *sigh*.
