Hi girls!!
Once again, long time, no chat!!
Good to hear to that you and your bubs are all goin well!!
Sienna is such a joy! She's just over 5 months old (scary how time flies) and she's a happy little bub. Altho 'little' is not really the word, she already weighs 8kg so she's your stereotypical 'fatty formula bub' lol. We absolutely love her to bits and she's so much fun. She's rolling all over the place - it's always interesting to see what position she'll be in in the cot in the morning.
I've just this week started her on Farex and a little bit of pear. She's showing a lot of interest, she just has to work out how to keep it in her mouth, lol. She STILL hasn't slept through the night *sigh*, but for awhile she was sleeping in 6 hourly blocks which was wonderful. Now she's back to four hours at a time, but I think she's teething which doesn't help.
I've started back at work, only two days a week, Tues and Sat. Either my Mum or MIL will have bub on Tuesdays, and hubby will have her on the Saturdays so we're very lucky not to have to put her in professional care. It's been hard to go back to work, but the time away from Sienna has made me appreciate her so much more!!
I've just recently been diagnosed with Postnatal Anxiety - apparently it's a very mild form of PND but I had no idea, coz I wasn't crying or feeling sad, just feeling majorly STRESSED!! which I thought was normal for new mums, but my mum suggested I go speak to a councellor (sp?) which I did, and lo and behold, I actually had a prob. So Smoz, I'm also on ADs, but I haven't breastfed since Sienna was 6 weeks old, so I had no concerns there. I have been feeling heaps better, just a little less on edge all the time which is nice. I'm sure I'm probably much nicer for hubby to live with too, just less snappy etc.
Ummm, what else...we're still waiting to build our house (hence me going back to work - always about the money!), but hopefully we'll get started in the next couple of months. Plans are in council, just gotta sort out the mortgage.
So yeah, that's me in a nutshell. Now I'm back at work, I might be able to get on this site a bit more and stay a bit more in the loop, I finally have the net at home, but now I never have the time to use it!! lol
Anyways, take care girlies, thanks for reading my looooonnnnng post!! xoxo

Good to hear from you Melly....sounds like Siennas doing well. i have a ff baby, not quite that big...she was 6.2kgs at 4 months and shes doing well.
We are all sick though. I have had the flu and now a head cold and the girls are snotty. I think rebecca is sick now shes sleeping alot and really clingy. No temp though. Shes doing fantastic with bottles and sleep still although unsettled lately. Still only rolling one way.
Ok Olivia is trying to help type....take care all

Hello all you lovely ladies!
We are going great guns here... Bella is 4 months old and is weighting in at 8 kgs... fatty! She is also very long - off the charts in the blue book! She is sleeping through from 9pm till 7am and then we both go back for a couple of hrs in the mornings so she gets about 10-12 hrs of sleep a night, she doesnt sleep much in the day tho! She will sleep 45 mins max in the day! Just means that I dont get much house work done!
Bella is also rolling side to side and sits her self up when I have her laying on my tummy! She HATES tummy time so so doesnt do that very pftern but we are getting a bit longer and longer everytime.
Well I have to go as she is calling out from her cot when she is supposed to be sleeping!!
Oh yeah she has been diagnosed with Plagiocephaly (sp?) which means mishapen head - but her head is getting better and the paed didnt seem to think it was a big deal - but we had a skull x-ray done and we are also going to the royal childrens to get her head looked at just incase she needs a helmet to reshape it - fingers crossed that is will work its self out. Have another paed appoint this month so will see how that goes.
Hop eveyone is well and I look fwd to hearing from you all!
Kate

Hi Girls,
Melly - Great to hear from you. So glad you and Sienna are well. Lara is FF as well and weighed 7.1kg at 4 months. Hope you are enjoying work, that is so good you don't need to put Sienna in professional care. Also gives you a bit of time to yourself.
Melissa - Lara is still only rolling the one way too, belly to back. Hope you all get better soon. Lara is a bit snotty at the moment too. She is asleep at the moment and I just checked on her and could hear her snoring.
Kate - You sound like you are really enjoying being a mum. Fingers crossed Bella's head sorts it self out.
Lara is 5 and a half months old. I still haven't started her on solids, waiting until she is 6 months, I'm not really looking forward to it, coz it means she is growing up ha ha. I'll have to ring the dr this week to book her 6 month needles, jeez they come around quick.
Better go, hi to everyone else. Have a Happy Easter and enjoy the long weekend! Dh is working so I wont be doing anything special.
-
Hello all, Happy easter. We just got back from camping at the Grampians. Had a great time and the girls got all dirty:) it was a bit hard with the bottles and trying to keep the water warm over night, but all ended up good. Rebecca is doing well..still. Nothing much has changed, although she is having heaps of bottles..such a hungry little mite! Shes nearly 5 months old, I will look at starting her on solids closer to 6 months. Although she did have a suck on my nectarine and loved it! I could probably start her on solids now, but I just have this "thing" about doing it early!
Well I hope you are all well and bubs are growing nicely.
Take care
Melissa
-
Melissa - Glad you had a nice trip away camping and had a good easter. My easter was quiet, DH worked. He is going away on Friday and wont be back until Tuesday so it is going to be a looong weekend by myself with the 2 kids.
Lara is 5 1/2 months and I still havent started her on solids. I am like you and dont want to start her too early. I started DD1 at 6 months so I will do the same with Lara. Not looking forward to all the messy stained clothes again though lol.
I dont have much to report either, Lara is having a sleep at the moment, would be nice if she sleeps a couple of hrs. It is raining and I feel like a sleep myself but coz DD1 doesnt sleep I dont get one either.
-
Hey Everyone,
Mellissa & Leigh Glad your bubs are going great guns!
Bella is going very well as well, and Melissa I know what you mean about being hungry bubs! Bella drinks nearly a whole 240mls every 3 hrs still!! And I weighted her last night and she is 8.1 kgs! at 4.5 mnths!! Is that too big? She is certainly not fat not even chubby - just LONG!
We go to the Paed again next week to see how her head x-rays are and then we go to the Royal Childrens Helmet unit for an assessment next month to see what they say, I think that her head is getting better and filling out but will wait and see what the paed says.
Hope eveyone else is well!!
Maybe one day when we are not all busy busy we could organise a meet up??
Love Kate xox
-
oooh I like the sound of a meet up:)
Kate- I dont think shes too big, the way I look at is that they are babies and all the do is lay on the floor, maybe roll here and there. When they start moving about they will sort themselves out! Yeah Becca is having a good 240mls five times a day.... Good luck at the Paed. Olivia has a flat head...hers was from bein in her hip harness and being on her back for 6 months. I just propped her up more and once she was able to move...crawl/walk, her head seemed to get a load better. Its still a bit flat but because she is a girl and has long hair, its not too noticable.
Leigh- good luck with being home alone. DH left this morning and I am already lonely!!! Hope you got a rest. Olivia doesnt sleep anymore so I dont get a nap either.
-
Ok 2 posts in a row...but...rebecca can now roll from her tummy to her back:) Just wanted to share my excitement!!!
-
Hi girls,
Yep long time no post. Things going well here, Willow growing up very quickly. Still on the boob and refuses to take a bottle at all (EBM), but is definitely putting on the gms...haven't weighed for a little while now but she is fitting into Charlize's clothes about 2 mths earlier than Charlie did.
Still not sleeping through again :( doesn't seem to make a difference if I give her a dreamfeed at around 10pm or not, she still wakes at 3am and then again at around 5.30am (and then stays awake). Was easier first time around as DD1 would take a bottle and by about this time(5mths) I gave her just water for the 2am feed and after a couple of nights she decided it wasn't worth waking for..
But she is an absolute darling with lots of smiles and very little crying. Trying to convince DH that another bub would be lovely but he won't be budged .. just seems that Willow is growing far too quickly and it is a little sad when I pack up the clothes that she has grown out of.
She has been rolling tummy to back for a while now, but just rolled the other way for the first time yesterday...and I wasn't in the room!!
Will also be waiting til she is 6months to start solids. Seemed to work for us the first time around.
We are off on a bit of a holiday for the next few weeks. DH staying home and I am driving down with the two girls to his parents farm near Orange (about a 14hr trip). Should be ok on the way down as they will be with me (they have been staying here for a couple of weeks) on the way back I am doing the trip by myself (with the girls) so that should be interesting. Am able to break it up with a stop at an Aunt's at Coonabarabran so that will help. Have been trying to have a feeding routine for Willow so at least will have some idea of stops etc. Any tips for long car trips with a 3 1/2 yo and a 5mth old welcome. Went and got the portable DVD player (with headphones so I don't have to listen to Wiggles or Dora for hours) and lots of coloring pencils and a big coloring book.
Charlie seems to have settled down a lot, we have been able to wean her off one of the medications for her epilepsy and that seems to have solved the problem of the problem child. And the other medication is doing the job of suppressing the seizures so all promising there. Back to see the Paed in mid May. She has been doing physio and had an OT assessment and things seem to be improving with the exercises from both of those.
I think that covers just about everything...time seems to be flying past these days, love keeping up with how everyone is going with their little bubs, hard to believe that in just a few more weeks some of these bubs might be nearly crawling or sitting up!
Take care,
Jo
-
wel ladies i've been off line until today! yay! heehee
Well we are mobile.....Tallon has developed a "crawl" i call it the Hoover...head down just using his legs not arms so no doubt we will get carpet burn on the forehead soon enough.
Jo that sucks that Willow wont take the EBM or any bottle.....Tallon doesn't care how it comes he'll guzzle it from the boob or EBM from the bttl heehee
well we go to bed here at 7pm and i used to give him a dream feed at 10pm but like you Jo it doesn't matter if i do that or not he still wakes around 4am....so now i just leave him and get up and he goes back to sleep for longer so its working better
-
Hi girls,
Sounds like you and your bubs are all going well!
Sienna is also going well - she's been a bit feral the last few nights tho, just screaming when I put her down to sleep, but I think she's well and truly teething so I guess that's to be expected with some babies. It's pretty stressful tho - I used to just pop her in her cot wide awake and she'd be off to sleep within 10 minutes, but now; my gosh, it's on!!! She screams and screams as soon as she's put down, so I'll be cracking out the Baby Panadol for sure. These, my friends, are trying times!!! ;-)
But apart from that, Sienna is a joy and a blessing and it's so great to watch her discovering new things everyday. She has gotten the hang of solids and enjoys every mouthful which is so cute.
Take care til next time xox
-
HEy All,
Good to see some of you around. We are doing well, Rebecca has her hip review next week so hoping all is well. She too is moving about, something similar to Tallons hover! Shes on her tummy and pushes her knees to her chest and drags forward. Once she can carry her weight she will be crawling. We still havent started solids yet but I think i might start next week (5 and a half months, same as her sister). She seems interested in our food, so I'll do it. Shes also had some crappy nights where shes just cried and cried, which has rolled into days. Its seemed to have settled now....until next time!
Hope everyone is doing well,
Take care melissa
-
hey Mel yer you sound the same as me....bought some farex in yesterdays grocerie shop so will prob try it next week some time as he's becoming more and more interested in what we are eating and drinking.....suprised my mum the other day by swiping her cake out of her hand whilst she was holding him....he was so pleased with himself! heehee
hmm must go stock up on ice cube trays and get cooking for baby food.....i love the pureed solid stage i love cooking all the things and freezing them i feell ike im being a really good mum heehee
-
Yeah Smoz, Bec did that swiped food out of my hand...although it was a KFC wrap and she started sucking on it....not what I wanted to give her!!! I have 3 ice cube trays with lids from Big W that I got last time. I love doing all the cooking too. I also bought some rice cereal during the week, I got the raffertys one coz I didnt like the farex...but I suppose its not me who is eating it! I am looking forward to introducing solids, love looking at their faces as they try new things. It also means they are growing up.... must start thinking about the next one....
I wonder how long it will before Becca starts to crawl if shes scooting around now?
-
Hi girls! Been a while since I was in here...but thought I should drop in and say g'day. :)
My little princess is 5 months old today...it's flown by (quite the opposite to when DS was a baby)!! I'm really interested to read how all the other bubs are going...all this rolling and stuff...wow! Kaitlyn DID roll a long while ago a couple of times but I think it was a fluke because she hasn't done it again (although she does side to side just not back to front or front to back). She's not really babbling much either...just making all sorts of cooing sounds, squeals etc. She's really good with sitting up though...she sits up alone for ages but we put pillows around her so she doesn't hurt herself if she does fall. ;) She's a great little giggler too and giggles on 'demand' most of the time...especially at her crazy brother. Very cute! She also loves to stand up and is very proud when we go 'up-ups'...hehe...
We tried a tiny bit of Farex today but she wasn't so keen (she's been mouthing & watching us eat for a couple of weeks)...oh well, will try again in another week or so. :) We started DS at 5 months but mostly because he had bad reflux.
We're off to Sydney next week for Kaitlyn's appointment for her birthmark...fingers crossed it won't be all horrible news... We'll also go to the zoo and a few other things while we're there...if the weather is kind to us. ;)
Kaitlyn is almost 8kgs and about 70 cms long (home measurements) now...growing quickly! She's also sleeping through most nights and I've been doing 'settling techniques' (patting/rocking) her to sleep day & night over the last 2 weeks and am happy to say she now (90% of the time) puts herself to sleep during the day (only sleeping 45 minutes though) and is getting better at night. Yay! :) Next step is to 'train' her into longer day sleeps...hehe...we'll see...
Anyway, I just wanted to say g'day while the house is quiet (even DH is in bed)... Hope you're all going well!!! :)
-
Gees I missed your post Ssmiles..sorry about that!! Sounds as though Kaitlyn is doing well. Good luck with your appointment too. I will probably try a bit of rice cereal over the weekend and see how things go.
Just thought I would fill you in that Rebecca has been given the all clear for her hips and will no longer need any follow up. Think I will have a celebratory drink tonight! Got to wake up my big girl otherwise she aint gonna sleep tonight!
Take care all
Melissa
-
bump..... we are all good. Rebeccas blowing rasberries as we speak. Her sleep is crud so I statred her on solids a few days ago. Shes still waking up 2 times a night:( Shes chowing down on breakky but not too keen on dinner. I should have done it the other way!!!!
My dd1 (Olivia) hit her head the other day and has a huge egg on it and this morning she fell off the couch. Shes in the wars!!!
we are off to a play centre for mothers group today....our weekly catch up that now lasts hours and hours! I have so much washing to do and cant be bothered....not to say the weather is helping!!!
Would love to hear from some of you.
-
Hi Girls,
Melissa - That is great news about Rebecca's hips, I bet you are so relieved!!! Poor Olivia being in the wars.
SSmiles - Good luck for Kaitlyn's birth mark appointment, fingers crossed it is good news for you. Have fun at the zoo.
Jo - Hope your long car trip goes well for you. The portable DVD player is a good idea. Hope Willow is sleeping well for you.
Smoz & Melly- Good to hear from you, hope your both well, Tallon and Sienna as well.
I took Lara for her 6 month needles last week, she was so good. She now weighs exactly 8 kg (2.7 kg at birth), 67 cm long (42cm at birth). I started her on solids last week as well. She isn't keen on farex at all but I will keep trying. I had some success with pureed apple and banana today and also pumpkin.
Gotta go, she is crying now. Take care and I hope you all enjoy your Mothers Day. Mine will be quiet coz DH is working.
-
Hi girls and bubs,
Melissa - good to hear about Rebecca's hips!! I'm with you on the sleep issue tho!! Sienna is still waking for a middle of the night feed, but I think it's more out of habit than actual hunger. Altho we have tried stretching her out by putting in her dummy and letting her go back to sleep, but that's worked once!! Every other time she's screamed the house down until she's fed. She's also a crappy sleeper during the day. I'm lucky to get 45 mins out of her each time. I think that's been the hardest thing with having a bub, just the crazy sleep deprivation. It's hard!!!
But on a more exciting note, Sienna has cut her first tooth!! It's scary how fast she's growing!! She has cut the bottom left-hand-side one and I think the right one isn't too far away. She's still been pretty feral to get down to sleep at night howeva I've discovered the Brauers Teething Relief which seems to really help. I feel a bit betta giving that to her as opposed to panadol as it's a 'natural' (in comparison) remedy. Altho the panadol definitly has it's place!!
Hey I was just wondering, for you mums whose bubs are on formula, have any of you moved on to the Step 2 versions (for 6 months +)? I was all ready to swap Sienna this weekend but the mothercraft nurse in the chemist said it was better to keep her on Step 1 for 12 months as Step 2 can cause constipation. So now I'm pretty confused as to which way to go. I'm still leaning towards changing Sienna to Step 2, coz it was obviously invented for a reason right? Sheesh I don't know, so I'd appreciate anyone's opinions!! :-)
Anyways Sienna has woken up for her nap (with 'nap' being the operative word - a whole 40 minutes of sleep aaarrrggghhh!!!!) so I best be off.
Take care all xoxo
PS And Happy Mother's Day!!!!!!!! Woo hoo!!!!!
-
Hi Girls,
Melly, I moved Lara up on the step 2 last week. So far I have had no problems. With DD1 I moved her onto step 2 at 6 months as well, also had no issues with her. I personally dont know anyone who has kept their bub on step 1 the whole time, although I was reading a thread in here a few wks ago and some of the mums have, guess it is really up to you!
DH is working on Mothers Day so he has organised for us and the girls to go stay somewhere tomorrow night and to go out for dinner so that will be nice. I enjoy getting away, even if it is just for 1 night.
I went to DD1's Kindergarten this morning for a Mothers Day morning tea. They made scones for us and made us presents and gave us flowers, was really nice.
Hope you all have a nice day on Sunday!
-
Thanks Leigh,
I really appreciate your feedback!! I've bought Step 2 and Sienna will be starting it today so hopefully all goes well. Enjoy your night out - hope you get a chance to relax!
xx
-
Hey, I wrote a post yesterday and it didnt take...doh!
Mel- yep I will start Rebecca on Step 2 in the next 2 weeks. Olivia didnt have any troubles with changing over. Wow a tooth already. Becca is chewing and dribbling, but I think thats it. Olivia didnt get her first tooth til 8 months, so am thinking maybe they might go down the same path. Sleep seems to be the same...still waking up for a feed or 2 over night. Last night I managed to get to her before she woke Olivia up:) Shes now gobbling her rice cereal and banana, although she does suffer from a tummy ache afterwards. Evening meals are getting there slowly...last night was pumkin and broccoli. Becca is no where near sitting up on her own without support, but when she can, am looking forward to introducing her high chair and getting messy!
Leigh- hope you have a great time tonight. That sounds lovely.
Dont know what we are doing for mothers day yet. We were supposed to be having dinner with mil, but dh has ice hockey (more important!) so I will go to my mums with the girls in the arvo. We were going to start going to the pools with the girls on Sunday mornings but Olivia has broken out in spots. I took her to the dr yesterday and he seems to think its a mild form of chicken pox. Shes probably got a dozen spots on her face and trunk, but they havent filled like regular c'pox. So we will see if Becca gets it in its true form soon.
Anyway, have a great mothers day everyone
Melissa x o

Hey Ladies!
Hope you all have a fantastic Mothers Day tomorrow! Im so excited about my first mums day!!
Bella is doing great - she can sit by herself for a while and she can ballance fwds and backwards but will slip sideways!! But she is doing very well at it. She loves sitting in her high chair while I make tea so thats good.
She is still sleeping really well - goes down at 7 at night and gets up at 7.30 in the morning so I cant complain about that!!
She is really intereted in our food and chews when I am eating so I dont think that it will be long till we start solids - I cant wait!!
Melissa - sounds like its all guns blazing with solids!
Melly - I will start Bella on step 2 in a months time!!
Leigh - enjoy your night away! I hope you get spilt roten!!
Well gunna have some lunch while Bella is asleep!
Love Kate xox
-
Hi Girls,
Hope you all enjoyed your Mothers Day. Our night away was great, except it was raining. We had a nice dinner at a restaurant then breakfast at the hotel in the morning, then DH had to go to work at 11am. Lara still doesnt have any teeth either. She is chewing on everything and dribbling heaps but still not sure when a tooth will come through. DD1 got her first at 7 1/2 months. She is refusing solids again, I am sure we'll get there eventually. DD1 never gave me any problems with solids.
Kate - Hope you had a nice first Mothers Day. Bella is so clever sitting by herself. She is a good sleeper too. Lara sleeps from around 8:30pm through to 8:30am so I cant complain either.
Melissa - Poor Olivia breaking out in spots. Do you reckon it is chicken pox? Has Rebecca got any yet?
Melly - Hope Sienna doesnt have any dramas changing to the step 2 formula.
Better go and get dinner started.
-
Hey KAte, wow Bella sounds great, what a cleaver girl sitting up. And as for sleep, thats great...wish mine did that!!
Leigh am glad you had a lovely night out. Bugger with the solids but am sure she will be fine. Luky you on the sleep too.
Becca has no spots. I am doubting its chicken pox, they are almost gone, shes fine. Its hard to know what it is when the dr wasnt really sure!!!
Well I am hoping to have an ok sleep tonight, so I really shoud go to bed....before they wake me up!!!
-
Bump....
To those using S26.....Big W has a special on starting tomorrow. 6x cans for $96...which works out to be $16 a can. I'll go stock up!
-
Hi Girls, hope you and your bubs are all doing well.
Just a quick one from me. Lara got both bottom teeth today. They werent there yesterday. I only noticed one before but I just checked again and both are there. Poor little girl getting both on one day.
-
Wow thats quick. No sign of teeth here, but Olivia is getting her last 2 molars and I nearly hurled at the smell of hr poo today. Its a classic sign for her, poor little mite. Hopefully becca doesnt have too much probs teething.
We had a crappy day today and Becca cried most of it. I took both of them walking twice as I was getting into tears, they both were just nightmares today. Ah the joys hey..and I am thinking about my third already, but somedays I dont know! Anyone else going to ttc in the near future?
-
Melissa - yeah I saw that - but I use S26 Gold and its just the normal one on sale - how ever the Gold is on sale at Target for $22.
Leigh - WOW 2 teeth on one day!! WOW poor little poppet! But YAY on getting teeth!!
Bella had her first go at Farax today and loved it!! YAY
Well gotta go she is due for tea and bed!!
Kate xox
-
Hey ladies sorry long time no post busy busy you all know how it is.
Well we are still BF?ng here and are in cloth nappies and loving them!
Tallon is still slow at putting on weight but is on the chart for the WHO site for BF boys so we're not worried he's been crawling for a month now so no one can tell me he is FTT.
For those of you with girls.....have you heard about the amber necklaces that help with teathing????? meant to be great!
-
Hi all!
Good to hear you're all doin well!
Melissa - I hear ya on the rotten days - sheesh I've had a few with Sienna lately!! This teething business has been hellish and has thrown her (already crap) sleeping patterns way out. Every night she cries when I put her down to sleep, and I've tried every method possible to avoid this - and then we're lucky to get 3-4 hours out of her before she's grizzling again, arrrggghhh!! So yeah, plenty of tears round here too (from bub AND mum, lol). But hey, we always manage to get thru these things - lucky we're tough chicks!! Big hugs your way mate - I know how it feels!!
As for planning number 2, i haven't really thought too deep into it, but I'm thinking I might start trying again when Sienna is 18months to 2 years old. That seems like a long way off at the moment, but the way time flies, it'll be here before I know it!!
Leigh - I can't believe Lara got two teeth at once!! I guess that speeds up the teething process which can only be a good thing - did she suffer much discomfort, or were the teeth a total surprise? Sienna still only has the one, but I'm sure the second bottom tooth must be on it's way, and possibly even the top ones.
Has anyone had any tried and true remedies for teething pain relief? I'm still using the Brauers, but I keep hearing about Haylands Teething Tablets, but wanted some feedback before I rush out and buy em.
Kate - that's great that Bella enjoyed the Farax. Sienna loves her solids so I have to be careful coz she's already off the growth charts for weight!! If I could just drop that middle-of-the-night feed!!! lol
Smoz - good to hear Tallon's doin well! Can't believe he's already crawling - what a clever boy!! I've read a little bit about the Amber necklaces, but must admit I''m sceptical - but if you receive some good feedback, let me know!! I'm getting desparate, lol!!
Anyways we're off to Nelson Bay on thursday for a much-needed break. I'm hoping that all the swimming, playing etc will wear Sienna out each day sufficiently enough to skip the whole "crying when put to bed" episodes - fingers crossed!!!
Hope you girls all have a great rest of the week with your kiddies xox
-
Hey all just a quick one- Beccas been a nightmare over the past week, not sleeping up every hour or so. Not sure if its teeth or growth spurt. I seem to be making up bottles all the time. Just got her weighed and at 6 months she 7.6 kgs and 66cm long...much the same as Olivia at the same age. Becca moves about, she puts her knees under her and pushes and scrapes along with her forehead. She gets so frustrated. Shes rolling both ways and she can sit supported but falls to the side. Shes started having 2 naps a day now....although lately not! Shes really doing my head in and with lack of sleep all I did was cry yesterday!
Smoz- I would like to try the necklase, but am also skeptical! DD1 is gtting her last 2 molars, should get it for her. As soon as shes finished, Rebecca will start and the fun will begin all over again!!!
Ok, better utilise my time that shes asleep and Olivias watching the all horrid Dora....I hate that show!
-
Yer girls i'm not 100% but my friends had one for her little girl and swear to god not a sound or whinge from her....the only reason she knows she teething is cuz she gets a rash on her bum....but otherwise nothing so who knows, maybe she got a good kid maybe they work, but i've heard other people say they work.
-
Hi girls! Just a quickie..but for any of you feeding solids to your bub, are they doing 'solid' poos now? My little miss has been having solids for about a week now and she's not 'going' as regularly any more plus they're quite solid/firm. It's been that long since DS was a baby and I can't remember if it happened with him too...so now I'm wondering if it's normal or if she's a bit constipated maybe??! Any ideas?
And wow! Can't believe there's a crawler in here already...my DD is far from crawling...hehe...she's only just started rolling. But she doesn't like tummy time so maybe that's why...
-
Hey SSmiles, yep poos have changed here too from soft almost runny to firm almost brick like at times! They are also not as often. I do remember that if they are pebbles it is constipation. Rice cereal and banana tends to clog them up. Once you get them on pears or any stewed fruit, things start to settle. Hope that helps:)
Oh by the way, someone p there must have been listening to me coz I was at breaking point and last night I had a great night sleep and Becca slept all the way through from 9pm til 7am. Olivia was only up once:)
-
Thanks Melissa...you'd think I'd remember from DS...hehe. She's on apple, pear, farex & pumpkin so far and loving it. ;) Might pump up the apple & pear to help things along...although it's not pebble like, just 'firm'... ;) Hehe, TMI in these threads... ;)
YAY that you got some sleep...I did too last night...finally!! It drives you nuts when you're so sleep deprived and they STILL don't want to sleep, doesn't it?! ARGH!!!

hi all
quicky from me also.....Ssmiles Mia is on solids, having the same as K, and her poos are sometimes really runny (but I think that was from her needles) to firm. They havent been too hard!
Mini-= yay for the great sleep, I had a good one last night also, for the first time in a couple of weeks. I nearly had a break down yesterday because she just would not sleep, day or night. Last night she did 7-7 though, waking for a feed at 11 and 4. I can deal with that!
Oh, for those of you who havent tried...I bought Hylands teething tablets the other day- all natural, and they disolve on bubs tongue...they are GREAT!

Hi girls,
Just a quick one from me.
Melissa - great to hear you got some sleep!! that's really good news. Sienna has been much better with going to bed, no more screaming thank the good Lord, but she's still very unsettled, waking up every 3-4 hours. I'm trying to cut out the middle of the night feed which doesn't help!! So tired eyes all round in our household ;-)
Sienna has just gotten her second tooth so she now has the two bottom middle teeth. She's loving her solids, she's on three meals a day - a mixture of farex and vegies or fruit - and has the occasional rusk. But she's still on about five bottles a day, hence the attempt to cut out the 4 am feed.
So things are good round here apart from the lack of sleep!!
Take care chickies xx

Hey Chicks
Just a quicky! Bella is sitting up now and doesnt need support and she can also roll back to front and back but hasnt done it to oftern.
She is in the process of getting her 2 front bottom teeth - they are both through the gum now and you can see the white! So cute!! She is also really liking to stand up now - only with me holding her but loves it and is very strong on her legs!!
She is now eating some solids - she is not all that keen on the feeling but she really likes the pureed apple so thats a good thing!
Still sleeping 12-13 hrs at night so I love that!!
Back to work for me tomorrow :( but only MOndays & Wednesdays and my mum will baby sit and I work just around the corner - so not to bad but I will miss her like crazy!!
Anyway off to bed for me now!
Love to all
