Grrrr I lost my post!!!!!! Here goes again...
Blessedmum - Aw that sounds so bad! I really hope you start to feel better soon you poor thing, especially all this heat so doesn't help! That is lucky you have such good girls... my little gorgeous boy wouldn't let Mummy lay down for anymore than a minute lol.
Chody - Congratulations on the arrival of your baby girl! That's good to hear the labour went well.. How has Amelia been? Isn't being a Mummy the best thing in the world!? We have a wonderful journey ahead!
Tammara - How exciting for you! What a milestone seeing your little one rolling over... Good that you got it on camera. I am soo camera happy with my bub - I photograph like everything he does lol can't help it. Don't want to miss anything for the future.
Ladies...... HELP!!!! This is driving me crazy!!! I really am at a total loss of how to keep Damian entertained and happy every minute that he's awake! He gets upset/ frustrated when he's not keeping busy/ there's things to intruige him. I have a toy bar, the musical thingy on the cot.... I play with him constantly but it does get quite exhausting... so I'm trying to figure new ways to keep him entertained for more than 5 minutes at a time...
Can any of you Mummies share what you do with your bub when they're awake to keep them busy????
-
Hi Ladies - just a quick one from me as I am waiting for my Pie to cook in the Oven and its nearly ready! Yay!
Danni - I got given by my mum a chair that bub can sit in and its at the same height as the couches. Its like a rocker / bouncer and it vibrates and plays music and/or soothing sounds and has a toy bar. She got it from Big W and I think it is called a "by my side rocker" and its from Bright Starts. I absolutely cannot do without it! I think it is a must! Aidan loves sitting in it, and the vibrating is soothing and he likes listening to the music while he is kicking his toys on the bar and best of all it keeps him amused for ages! :)
-
i think i posetd last night but forgot to save it lol
Hope you are feeling better today blessed - Dylan rolled back to belly but was unable to roll back so he was like a lil fishy just stuck there lol
Danni - Dylan had a play mat from Target - io think it is called little world or something with world in it. It is a mat with two sort of arched over the top with things hanging and it has a little world globe up top that lights up and plays music. He LOVES it.
-
Hi Ladies,
I need your help with something. Aidan is going through this stage where it takes him ages to feed. I mean like 40 mins sometimes! He is a lazy drinker, he has a few sucks and then pauses and chews on the teat for a while and then keeps going. He is very easily distracted and is always wanting to look around. I tried to make him wait 4 hours between feeds so perhaps he would be more hungry and feed better but he refuses to wait that long and is really crying hard if I make him wait and then is hard to settle. I have tried sitting in a quiet room with him, doesn't work, I have tried pretty much all tricks in the book. What should I do? Is anyone else going through this?
Do you think I should try a different bottle / teat? I am using AVENT at the moment.
Tammara - WOW Dylan is going so well! I think Aidan is a few weeks off rolling yet - he isn't really keen on tummy time so I have to get him used to that first.
Chody - Congratulations on the birth of your daughter. I love the name!
Eng - 2 words for your brothers ex - Sucked in! :D
Were your Relo's safe and sound? I hope so, your BIL sounds like an A**.
Blessed - I hope your are feeling better - I don't cope well with heat either as I am so fair and neither does my Son. We have the Air con on 24/7 at the moment, so I can totally sympathise with you!
-
Blondie- we have the air on full time too lol big bill coming I think.
As for the drinking. Orlando went through that stage as well when he was little. It only lasted about a month but was very annoying when you're trying to get things done. I just pushed on, but I guess I couldn't exactly change the teet on my booby machine lol. I guess trying a different bottle might not help. Just a suggestion though- BF babies suck a little and then pull off when the let down is slow, so to my thinking... is he perhaps not getting enough fast enough? Perhaps you could try the next teet up??? Might help if he got the milk faster.
AFM- Well I haven't written about Leo much lately... He started rolling at 8 weeks and is having full blown conversations with me a few times a day. Today has been a bad day though, all he has done is eat and cry. My boobs hurt again. I think his colic was back because when I gave him some infants friend and let him cry a bit while I sat him up and patted his back, he did a giant burp, threw up and then was really happy for a full hour.
I'm worried about how I will handle going back to uni. I'm tired all the time as it is now so not sure if I will cope with full time uni on top of normal stuff. Guess we will see.
I hope you are all well. I really love having you all here sharing our journeys. Makes me feel much better when I feel like the only tired mum in the world...

Good Morning all,
Danni, I have a play mat and a rocker for Macey that she spends most of awake time in. I do also make sure I put mainly the rocker in different areas of the house. I think not only having the toys to look at all the time but a change in the background can help. Even if she is in a room by herself she is happy. I also sit it infront of the window alot. If it a a bit windy she will look at the trees for ages. And she loves sitting in front of the mirror too. Macey also loves nappy free time so I put her on her mat with a waterproof matt under her and for atleast an hour she is happy. Only now she is never in the same spot for long because she wriggles so much so I just have to keep moving her back. I guess in a way having Amelia running around helps too, Macey loves watching her.
Blondie, I think most babies go through a stage where they get really distracted at feed times and it makes a feed longer. I don't really have any other advice then to agree with Ella and say maybe a faster flow bottle might help.
Tammara. Good job Dylan, Macey is not rolling yet, she loves belly time and gets very close to rolling belly to back. Amelia rolled belly to back first too.
AFM, Feeling a lot better, still have a sore throat though. Today is hopefully the last hot day we are due. 7 days of 39-42 degrees has been horrible. The only good thing is where I live is sort of a valley and still manages to cool down well at night so sleeping has not been an issue. I think Macey likes it though, she has not liked been wrapped since day one so I stopped and just covered her with blankets but she has not needed them all week and has been so content she has not even wanted her dummy.
-
finally some cooler weather :)
Isabelle is not feeling the best last night she vomited about 2 hours after a feed, lucky I was talking to my friend near her bed as I think she might have choked on it other wise (we where staying on a farm for the weekend in a hall) She vomited a few more times and has been unsettled all day. Her nose is blocked so perhaps a cold or allergies. She is drinking lots though and wet nappies are OK to.
-
Hi ladies..
I hope you are all keeping cool! The last few days all I can say is 'bless the person who created air con!'
heidi, hope Isabelle is feeling better today.. Its hard when they are so little and you dont know whats wrong..
Blessedmum, good to hear your on the mend. Its hard when your home alone, sick and you have to look after your babies. I normally get out the dvd's too..
Ella, what a good boy! Rolling at 8 weeks!! Good luck with Uni today! Hopefully the boys will settle and they start sleeping for your soon.. I love infants friend.. I give it to Panayiotis when ever he isnt settled and it helps.
Danni, I use a swing, a play mat and my porta cot music and vibrations. but the one thing I use most is my old fashioned bouncer.. Like one that our parents had for us.. lol I put him on my kitchen bench while cooking.. Put him on the dinning room table when we are eating.. I take it to my parents, I take it to friends houses.. I but an attachment that plays music and give him toys to hold. Over the weekend I put him the stroller facing me while I hung the clothes on the line.
Blondie.. Yep sucked in sounds good to me. hehe... and yes he is an arse.. Panayiotis is just learning the bottle but he is doing the same thing I just take it away for a minute or two and try again.. Mean while this goes on for ages.. lol mmm sounds like bad advise.. lol
afm, got into a massive fight with my bil the day after the cyclone. I was talking to my sister and I said, 'next time there is a cyclone you get the hell out of there.' she goes, 'I didnt want to leave' then my bil starts yelling out in the background f... this and f... you and f.... this and f.... you... at me!!! I couldnt talk to my sister he was going nuts... So I go look Ill call you back later but can you tell your husband (knowing he could hear me) he is an ass...., w...ker, d...head... and hung up..
I got a message from her saying he thinks we always blame him for everything.. but ummm he always does stupid selfish things.. He is a big fat bush pig!
so my sister and her girls are ok, they got really strong winds, but they were lucky.. If it hit the way they were predicting they might not have been so lucky..
After all that cusing at me I have decided not to invite my bil to my sons christening.. and I have managed to reduce the numbers to 40 adults and 10 kids!! Yippeee!! Told my Mil and mum and they both seem happy. Now for a venue.. Still havent found one that Im happy with.
Panayiotis, has been a good boy. He has been sleeping around 6-9 hours at night and has two good sleeps during the day plus a couple of small ones.. He isnt rolling yet but he is trying to pull himself up. At the moment he sits in his bouncer and trys to pull himself up and lifts his feet up into the air a the same time.. Like some yoga move.. lol
Im taking him to the doctors tomorrow to have these moles checked. He started with about 6 and now he has 20.. I pray its nothing..
Ok well mr is up and dd is colouring in and Im starting to get hungry.. Have a great day..
-
So quiet in here???
Everyone ok?
I just had both boys sleep 6 hours straight. So nice to have a little unbroken sleep!
-
all good here..
How about you? how are you doing balancing Uni??
-
This time last year.... DH and I were busy creating our beautiful baby boy!! haha
-
:rofl:at Eng. I was just thinking the same thing but mine starts next week. Poor DH got nearly a whole years worth in that 1 week.
All going great here, keeping busy organising the christening. Did my invites last night. I also made a door thingy for Macey's door.
Oh and I thought a name change was in order, I was over the other name.
-
I thought we had a new person Blessedkazzo.. hehe
Well IM sure we were all getting busy this time last year!
This time last year I got a opk+ so the 12 to 15 was my window.. lol funny cos I have the same cycle as this time last year... Might have to get busy with dh tonight.. haha
AHH I still dont have a reception venue.. I have been busy ringing schools for DD.. DD starts prep next year... Time is flying...
We went to the beach today and Panayiotis got to put his feet in the water for the first time... he loved it.. Might have to go a couple of times more before the end of summer..
Ok Im off to bed ;) hehe
-
Im different from you two ladies, hubby and i were NOT busy this time last year but my boy was cooking in the IVF clinic :). I officially got preg on feb 15 (mum and dads wedding anniversary).
I have been thinking about our options of another bub - we both want to get preg soon, if not naturally we will go back to IVF in May. It was funny when i got my baby sample bag there was a pack of condoms in there and my cousin came around and i asked if she wanted them for her nephew and not thinking she said "wont you guys need them" i just looked at her for a few seconds then we both cracked up laughing - it was funny to us anyway.
I got Dylans suit last week it is soooo cute. It was so frustrating though with the size differences. He is in 00 clothes at the moment so i thought i would get an 0 so it is a little big on him but he can get more wear out of it. We tried the 00 on first and the vest and pants fitted how i wanted but the shirt looked 2 sizes too big. Then we looked at another 000 suit - different brand and it had no hope of fitting him, the lady let me pay an extra $10 to get a different brand shirt in 000 but i think he will grow out of it very soon. I just wish they would make a standard size. They had little shoes there but they looked a bit ummmm not very boyish lol we ended up getting him the cutest pair of volleys, they are black and grey check so he will be formal up top and casual down the bottom, they look really good with the suit :)
Im a bit excited, im getting a tattoo tomorrow cant wait. Ive been wanting to get another one for ages but never knew what to get so im getting Dylan 12-11-10 and some fancy stuff.
Eng do you pronounce Panayiotis like panay otis or panay i otis?
is anyone wanting to get pregnant again soon?
-
Tammara- I would love to get pregnant again soon but with uni and with Orlando too I think I need to wait for a little while.
AFM- Olrando is sick with a cough that I'm now getting and I think Leo might be too as he's coughed a few times this morning.
O woke up at 2am and wanted a sippy cup. He woke Leo up just as he was walking to my bed, so then I had to sit up with him and feed. Finally put him into bed and got a call at 3:20am that DF's bottle shop had been broken into so the phone woke Leo again. Then DF woke O as he was leaving... in short I have had 30 mins sleep since 2am. I'm in a terrible mood lol. DF is still at the store waiting for forensics.
I'm so cross at his work. They pay them pitance for such great responsibility. DF had quit smoking till this morning and because of his stress spent our last $20 to buy a pack of smokes. Says he will throw them away when he gets home and start again but I'm so freaking angry.
Sorry girls just needed to express all that. His work is causing us so much stress and lots of fights between us because he is getting paid for 38hrs a week but is there at least 60 every week.
Hope you're all having a better morning.
-
Tammara, how did you go, where abouts did you get it? I will get another tattoo but I am going to wait till I finish BF before I get it. They get addictive I think.
Macey is always trying to sit herself up now, whenever I lay her flat she strains for ages trying to get up. She also does not like lying flat in her bath anymore, she wants to be sitting up. She does love her showers though so we have a lot more of them.
Better run, my little chucky bum has just saturated herself.
-
Hello,
Tam, its pronounced.. Pana yo tis.. DD already nicked named him Yoti.. lol
Hope you are all keeping well.. I have been having a few problems during the day with DS.. He seems to be crying alot during the day, its kind of doing my head in. Im not sure if its my milk so I be giving him 1 ff a day but today I might actually do 2.. He seems so hungry all the time.
I feel like the kids are playing tag time. Once I settle Panayiotis down then Ireni starts up.. You would think that with Panayiotis sleeping between 8-10 hours at night I would be well rested but nope.. Im stuffed and to be honest I feel very run down.
I went to a primary school yesterday for Ireni. Im so confused at to where to send her next year for prep.. private or public..
Ok I best get going.. DH should be home soon we need to paint a wall and the carpet isnt dry from the steam cleaning..
Later...
-
Hello Ladies
Isabelle has changed her sleeping habbits and we are now getting up for a feed between midnight and 3am again :( hopefully she will swap again soon as this only started when she was not feeling well and she is back to normal again now.
We went to a mum and bubs session today at the movies which was nice..she was overwhelmed at the large screen but went to sleep soon after it started and slept most of the movie :) I think next time I will catch the bus as parking was a bit expensive as we walked around the shops for a while after the movie.
I was worried she was not making enough 'happy' noises but the last few days she has been chatting to her mobil in her cot very happily and making lots of noises.

Hello Mummies
Thanks so much to all of you that answered my question about how you keep your babies entertained :) I really appreciate the advice. Gave me some more ideas... I sure have an active bub on my hands! Blondie I couldn't find the By My Side Rocker @ Big W (it does sound good). Eng you sound like me with always having bub with you wherever you are in the house lol gotta love bouncers. And Blessedmum - Damian NEVER liked lying down - he was always the type of baby that loved being upright from day 1. For little Damian now we have a bouncer, cot mobile, rocker, toybar, playmat and for now I guess that's gotta do! Can't spend much more on entertaining him lol he seems to get bored easily so I just keep having to change things up.
I hope you all enjoyed your Valentines Day and got spoilt... Us Mummies deserve it! Hubby gave me roses, chocolate, a teddy (from Damian) and a Guess Bag... AANNDD time to have a bath... BLISS!!! Lol so I'm feeling very spoilt. We also have our 5 year anniversary (since we've been together) coming up soon. Time does fly! Yes and with conceiving our bubs... Hubby and I decided that we would just keep doing things as normal and let things happen as they are meant to (without protection) and without even actively trying bub was conceived a few months later, being around Valentines Day! So yes it has been a special week remembering that.
Damian has also changed his sleeping habits!! Unfortunately we've also gone backwards and he no longer has his big 5-6 hour stretch before he comes to bed with us. And he's been staying up later then he used to. As soon as we thought we had a routine happening... He changed it! But he does have a 7ish hour stretch in bed still, but he does feed throughout that a couple of times. LOL. Just gotta go with the flow. He also seems to be feeding a lot again...and OMG lately he will NOT feed with me just sitting down!! SO much for feeding being relaxing!! I constantly have to walk around whilst feeding... and boy oh boy he sure is heavy!!! He's been better in the car and enjoys going out so that's a good thing. He also has his days with making cooing noises.. sometimes he does a lot then he'll go a day or two without saying much. I wonder about him grabbing though... he loves grabbing onto things like his bib, toybar, us etc but he doesnt grab to pick-up. What about everyone elses bubs?
Have a lovely night ladies :)
-
Girls - it's been so quiet the last few days!!
Hope all you Mummies & bubbies are going well!
On a positive note - the day after I wrote my last post worried about Damian not grabbing yet - well my little boy decided that he LOVES grabbing toys from my hands! So cute... he loves holding them & trying to eat just about everything LOL.
Hope to hear from you all soon!!
-
Thats good Danni! Isabelle thinks her dresses taste wonderfull she is always grabbing the bottom of them and putting them in her mouth
-
Evening..
Gave Panayiotis his first taste of food this morning.. The little piggie knew how to eat!! I thought he would end up wearing it but nope.. He ate it.. I mixed only 2 tsps of baby rice, with 50mls of formula.. I gave him about 4 little spoon and stopped so his belly would get use to it..
I wasnt going to start yet but in the last few weeks he has been watching us eat and moves his little mouth like he was eating.
Booked him in for his 4 month injections on Thursday.. Cant believe he is 16 weeks old already..
Hope you are all taking care..
-
Ah Eng, Love your new Avie. Your little man is 16 wks already, where the heck has time gone, feels lke we are travelling at warp speed. I wish I knew where the slow motion button was.
Danni, sounds like Damian keeps you real busy, an active baby is so much fun, he will always keep you on your toes.
AFM, Macey is till my serious little bubba, although she is starting to giggle a bit more now. She is a watcher, I think she will beat anyone in a staring comp. DH went away for the weekend and I loved having just my 2 girls around. Amelia had a bad dream on Saturday night so she slept in my bed (something she nevers does) all night and I loved that they were both with me. Macey's flattened head has improved so much, I got her checked last Friday and they said it is nearly spot on. Yippee.
Macey's baptism plans are coming along nicely, we bought a Marquee because it was so much cheaper then hiring one and I am doing all the food myself so now I just need to see how many people come. I was a bit shocked in the amount of people we invited (83 including kids) but I don't expect a few to make it (kinda hoping really). We bought a new fridge too, it gets delivered next Monday, I am so excited and it is just a fridge.
Well I hope everyone is going great.
-
OMG Isabelle is getting teeth already! I thought she has been teething for a week or two now but my mum said to early...so today she cried a lot and was enjoying getting her gums massaged then after her bath tonight I felt a very sharp bit so looks like a tooth has just come through!
-
Wow, go Isabelle, I have always been told they can start coming as early as 3 months but I have never actually heard anyone say it happened to their baby. I do know they can play peek-a-boo sometimes and come up and go back down though, Amelia had that happen a lot. Well, at least you know now there was a good reason she was always sucking on her dresses.
-
may be this one will go back down other wise she will look like a vampire LOL
-
Lol Heidi yep my little boy loves eating his bibs and singlets etc., not to mention his hands!! I guess that could be partly because he doesn't have a dummy to otherwise suck, I wonder. Wow... your little girl is starting to get teeth!!! I'm just waiting on the day I see one on Damian... he loves biting so I wonder if that's the start. What signs did your DD show?
Kazzo... Gosh I'm still getting used to your new username lol. My goodness I totally agree with you... I cannot BELIEVE how fast they are all growing up & how quickly time is going! I feel like I'm in fast forward too... when you find that pause button let me know LOL it's crazy!
Sounds like your Christening plans are going along well now. We just had something really small and simple for Damian, just Godparents and close family and had a high tea type thing back at home afterwards. It was low key but that's exactly how we wanted it, especially as he was only 2 months old at that point. Hope Macey's goes well.
Eng WOW your little man is eating already! Good on him for knowing how to already :) Hope your DD has settled in with her little brother. I hear the first year can be a challenge for toddlers with new siblings..
-
It is silly but sometime i forget you ladies are here lol
Sounds like things are going ok for everyone - no major probs anyway so thats good. Dylan is doing well i think he is starting to really teeth now, the last couple of days he has been dribbling heaps and chewing on his fingers constantly and his little chew thing. After he started to roll he just stoped but yesterday he started again and now he rolled back on to his back from his tummy. He is constantly chatting away to his toys its pretty cute.
It definately adds up when you have a family function, we are having about 50 to our christening and that is just close family - no anties and uncles just imediate family.
I got my tattoo on my wrist (palm side) it wasnt too bad really it did sting a little when he was working on the vein but other than that totally bareable, i just got dylan 12-11-10 in script nice and simple.
Better get going i have a dentist appointment have had a tooth ache for days - the bonjella really does work lol
have a great day
-
morning,
Danni, yeah I know right.. 4 months! I have only slowly started giving him solids, I dont want to rush it, but he looks like he is eating when we eat. I started DD at 5 months, but only on baby rice and then slowly added fruit to her diet. Im going to do the same thing.
Kazzo, I love it too.. hehe only one little thing I noticed.. Ireni has brown eyes and the avi shows blue.. Good to hear Macey's flattened head has improved, Panayiotis has too but the dr only said something about it yesterday. I have to keep an eye on it again. Your baptism plans are well on the way.. Good on you!! Im so slack..
My dad is paying for Panayiotis (I know Im very very very lucky - Its tradition when a child is name after you, you pay for the meal) and he wants to go to the same place with had DD. But I dont want to go there, and then he said that what ever money we save we get to put it towards our solar system. So DH caved.. Im still fence sitting.. I think Im more worried about what people will say.. anyways..
heidi, Congratulations Isabelle on her first tooth!!! If she is in a lot of pain you can try SM33 teething.. Its fantastic! I use to use bonjella but after a some report I heard in England I went off it.
tammara, a friend of ours got his kids names done down the inside of both his arms. Whens your christening?
afm, well Panayiotis had his 4 month injections yesterday.. Poor bub.. He did well and this time I didnt see his face which helped me. He is a little porkie.. 7.4kgs and 67cm long (I dont think he did that right) Im off to the peds on the 10.03.11 for a check up on his mole things. Dr didnt want to alarm me but said he was starting to worry but he didnt know what they were. He started with 4 and now he has over 20! Im really trying to fight googling..
My anxiety has returned, I can feel it but Im trying to take control of it. I have been really stressed about taking both kids out at the same time. I know I just have to relax and take small steps. Im going to go this afternoon when DH gets home so we can get some groceries. Tomorrow I have an afternoon tea at one of our cousins house so I will be flying solo with both kids. Lucky all the ladies in DH family will be there.
Ireni went to bed for the first time since Panayiotis was born at 7:30!!! I ended up in bed at 9:30!!! Very happy with that.. Im going to make her a reward chart so she can keep up with her good work! Even at home during the day she has improved! Please oh  please let this be the start of my daughter returning back to her beautiful little self!!
Ok I better run dishes to do, clothes to fold, and the list goes on and on and on and on!!!
Have a great weekend!!
-
Just a quicky from me, P rolled today for the first time! And lucky me missed it! I was making I's lunch.
After i got over that my son has been rejecting my boobs all day. Either my milk is drying up or he want ff. Really hard day for me, missed an important milestone and got rejected all in one. DH keeps saying no big deal and that upsets me more.
-
Yay, for P, Boo for yu missing it. I hope he puts on lots of rolling shows for you to make up for it. It is a big deal, Amelia self weaned at 8 months and I remember how rejected I felt.
Had a rough night last night, Amelia was sick again and threw up all over me at about 3am. Lovely. That woke Macey up so I fed her. Everyone back to sleep. just before 6, amelia wakes up again, throws up, wakes macey up. Me and Macey then relocated to the loungeroom. I am now a wee bit tired and DH has gone out for the day to Soundwave. Oh well I should not really complain. I have had it very sweet so far.
Macey is trying her hardest to giggle but shocks herself everytime she makes a noise. It is funny to watch. And as much as she loves her big sister, she really loves the 2 days that Amelia is at daycare. She can have quiet sleeps and lots of mummy time. Oh and we are now at the start of anything in her hands is straight in the mouth. When I burp her she tries so hard to get my hand up to her mouth and then gets cranky when she can't. Funny.
-
Morning,
Kazzo, hope the Amelia is feeling better and you have all gotten a little sleep. P does the same thing when he goes to laugh, now he does this pig sound.. Its so funny.. Thank you for the advise/support. He hasnt really rolled since, well not fully so I have been watching and waiting again. I was feeling really rejected and started to think my body was failing me again. (felt like that while ttc)
Yesterday I really pushed bf, I kept feeding him when he woke and before he slept. I thought if it was a supply problem it might increase.. and yep it has.. He also was lauching on better. I ate heaps of almonds yesterday and the day before to help improve the quality. IM going to make those cookies Kelly has listed in bf support.
Hope you are all well..
-
Hello Ladies
Hope you are all doing well. We are keeping very busy as we started playgroup on Mondays and Wednesdays I go to Parramtta and see a movie with some mothers from mothers group, Thursdays I go for a walk around the park with the ladies..I wont have time to go back to work LOL Have been into the office 3 times in the last 4 weeks, not to work just drop a laptop off to be fixed and afternoon tea, but it I found it has helped to remind me that I do need to go back to work.
-
anyone else having really bad af cramps? This is worse than contractions 4 minutes apart! I can hardly walk and look like a blow fish!
-
Eng - that sucks that you missed it but im sure he will start to show off for you soon. Glad to hear he is feeding again :)
Hope amelia is feeling better now and that you have caught up on your sleep. Dylan makes a little goat noise its pretty funny, he gets into full giggles its funny. When he was in the bath yesterday he did a big kick and splashed water - that scared him lol
I have started giving dylan some baby food at night time it seems to help him sleep better - i have found that if i feed him with a syringe thing rather than a spoon its much less mess and he keeps more in his mouth.
His christening is this sunday so i need to finalise all the arrangements and get ready to make food.
-
Hello Mummies!!
Very exciting news over here... My little Damian rolled over yesterday! He went from tummy to back - and startled himself lol so cute. I was soo excited I went to grab the video camera but of course my little boy didn't do it again lol (he seems to get camera shy in general). The first time he rolled I missed it because I turned around to sit down and when I looked back at him I was like OMG what's he doing on his back LOL surprise alright! Then luckily he did it so I saw it :) He did it today as well, just to show Daddy I think because he hasn't managed any other time. What a milestone :) And we are getting really cute short sharp giggles out of him here and there... sooo adorable! There's nothing more beautiful than a baby's laugh I think :P
Tammara - I am going through the same thing with Damian! He's constantly munching at absolutely everything and sometimes he gets so frustrated lol it's funny to watch. It is quite intense so I think he has got to be teething too! All the best for the Christening on Sunday!
Heidi - Wow, you do sound very busy! Parramatta hey... I only live like 20 mins away from there! Where's your Mothers Group at? I really haven't delved into any social things with Mums and Bubs and that's really something I should do now Damian has started having lots of non crying time during the day!
Kazzo - I hope Amelia is feeling better now. And yes I know exactly what you mean about the everything in mouth scenario - lol that's been my little guy for a while now!
Eng - I was wondering how your little man was going with the mole issue. I hope it all checks out OK - keep us updated. I would be so worried too! And yes he's a healthy boy - same with Damian, he's about 7.5kg!! LOL getting heavy aren't they!? And no I can't say I relate to your cramps... I haven't had a period in over a year now (thanks to full time bf too) - THANK GOD for that! Not looking forward to the return that's for sure, I used to cramp really bad.
Have a good night all of you! xx

Yay for Damian rolling - Every time i try and video Dylan on the phone to send to daddy he stops because the light comes on - he is amazed by lights. I thought Dylan had a tooth through today i got excited until i realised it was a bit of white fluff lol I got him weighed and measured today and he is 7.6kg and 63 cm he is totally in proportion with all measurements. The health nurse said he is very strong in the legs and he he responded very well to her by following her light and the little toy so all in all a good result to know i must be doing something right to have a nice happy healthy boy.
Eng - ive actually not had any bad cramping with af fingers crossed i dont. I just started today will see.

This day last year I got my BFP. It was a little bit of a surprise because when I tested at 14 dpo I got a BFN. So I waited for AF, she still had not arrived 5 days later so I used my spare test and Hey Presto!
One year on and how happy am I.
Goodluck with the christening on Sunday Tammara.
Danni, Yay for Damien, I hope you get to catch him rolling soon. I fulltime BF Amelia and got AF back after 4 months so don't think that witch will stay away just because you are she may just rear her ugly head at anytime:rolleyes: For some reason I thought you were in Melb. Are your plans of moving to QLD still happening?
Eng, Boo to bad cramps. Like Danni said, how did you go with P moles?
Heidi, Sounds like your a busy mum.
AFM, When Amelia was Macey's age now we were driving route 66 across America in a brand new Mustang convertible. I don't think Macey would handle it the way Amelia did if we were to do it with her. She is a very reserved baby and does not like strangers at all and in the USA people go crazy for babies.
Macey has not rolled yet but she does a great backstroke across the floor, she pushes so hard with her legs.
Well I have to get my but into gear and get organising this baptism. I should start by turning this computer off. (yeah right)

I got Macey's ears pierced today. She was so brave and funny. She cried for about 2 minutes but everytime the girl that did it looked at her she started crying again. It also took her about an hour before she would smile at me but after a good sleep she woke up happy. I tell you, it is really hard to find somewhere to do babies ears and then to feel confident in them. One place I walked out of because they just seemed very unprofessional.
Amelia was the same age when we did hers (in Vegas) and we never had any issues so that is why I wanted to get it done early again. She looks so cute.

Hi Ladies
We are car less at the moment..the jeep has a failed start motor and looks like a custom rebuild of the part is required as we can't source the part. There is something weird with my jeep and getting parts is always an issue - once we had to wait 2 months.
Danni we have informal gatherings at the moment, movies on Wednesdays and walking on Thursdays, a few of us are going to start swimming with our bubs as we are all confident in water and dont really feel like paying for lessons at this age. We are also looking at starting a playgroup. We use a closed facebook group to talk about things and arrange outings. Send me a PM if you are interested (yours is full). I am Heidi Ploeg on facebook just let me know where I know you from as I am starting to get stricter with accepting friend invites.
Kazzo my SIL had a lot of problems finding some where to do my neice I think we will wait a bit longer before we get Isabelle's done, they do look so cute though.
I was thinking this week how shocked I was last year to discover I was pregnant and how blessed we are to have such a wonderfull baby!
Tamara how exciting is the rolling over! Hope he has done some more rolls for you..from mothers group we worked out the smaller babies where all rolling over, but the larger babies where sitting up with better head control.
Tonight we are getting taken to the drive-in which will be fun and tommorrow my parents are taking us to the beach (my brother will be there as well)
