Good afternoon all,
Heidi, my stomach was in knots just before I got Macey's ears done but the lady that did it was so great and confident that I felt good once I was sitting in the chair with Macey. It makes all the difference to have someone like that. How did Isabelle's teething go, did it stay out, anymore come through? I hope your car gets fixed soon, I would go crazy without a car, but where I live you need a car to get anywhere.
Tammara, how did the christening go?
Okay I am about to have a little vent now. I have just about had it with my Aunty (mothers side). I understand that people are busy but *** you can make time for family sometimes. Every occasion we have I invite her and family and every time there is some excuse. In the last 3 years I have seen her 3 times. When Amelia was born, Amelia's 1st Christmas and this Christmas. I am always ringing to catch up but she always has something on. Then I get a message saying she knows she is a slack Aunty and she will try harder but never does. I know her and my mum don't get on very well but my mum lives 10 hours away, so it is not like would ever run into each other here. So as of today I am done like a dogs dinner with it all. Thankgoodness for my family on my dad's side. They are the absolute bestest.
Well I have a lot to do this week. My mum will be here on Wednesday so she will be able to keep Amelia occupied for me so I can get things organised.
Macey must be about to have a growth spurt, she is feeing a bit more and sleeping so much more. She is sleeping about 11hours at night now and having atleast 2 hour sleeps during the day. She was 6.1kg last week so I will weigh her on Friday and see what gain there has been. I think I will be into 00 soon. I still have 000 things she has not worn so I better put them on her this week so they get atleast one wear.
-
Isabelle has one fang on the bottom right side LOL. I think another one is coming through as her checks are very red, eye is gunky and rubbing ears again and chewing on hands same as last time.
I am struggling with the sizes some things she is still in 000 like today she has a 000 t-shirt a 00 skirt and 000-00 tights but last night she was in a size 0 bonds grow suit.
I some how let go of the pram this morning and it rolled down the front 3 steps..OMG it was such a scarry slow motion moment! She has a little mark on her head but is pretty happy and not concussed as has only had 2 short sleeps this afternoon.
Tommorrow I am heading into Sydney which will be our first trip into the city and first train ride...pretty excited we are having lunch with a good friend.
-
Heidi, babies look so cute but funny when their teeth start coming threw. Even more so if they come in a weird order, my friends boy got alot of his teeth but his top 2 took so long.
We went into the city with the girls a month or so ago, must admit I really don't like going into the city much but we had a lovely day, hope you had a nice catch up with your friend. Scary about the fall, glad Isabelle and yourself are ok.
So today is my 3 year wedding anniversary. I bought DH an ASUS EeePC notebook so that when he is America he can skype and email us whenever he wants. What do I get, 2 half dead bunches of flowers from Coles:o He said he thought we did not do presents. If he would just listen once in his life then he would know we do for wedding anniversary but not for out getting together anniversary. Funnily enough I am not even upset or anything. I thing I knew he would not put any effort in so I guess I was prepared mentally for today.
On a good note. I am so IN LOVE with my girls, I just can not get enough of them. Amelia has decided she is ready to start using the loo or potty all by herself, she gave her dummy up a few months ago and has not had any issues, she is talking so much now and is so super affectionate. Macey just melts my heart with those big eyes and when she gives her big smile with her shy little look Oh, it is wonderful. DH falls asleep most nights watching TV in the lounge room so I put Macey in bed with me in the morning after her feed and I love that I wake up to her smiling at me.
I am so sure this is what you are all feeling everyday too. There is nothing more spectacular then the love you can have for your child.

Hi Ladies,
Sometimes I forget about all you lovely ladies on here and the wonderful support we seem to give each other! I am going to try my best to keep in touch better!
Sounds like babies are rolling, eating, giggling and doing all sorts of wonderful and cute things.
Update on Aidan...
He is now rolling onto his stomach but then he gets stuck on his tummy and can't roll back. Feeding well during the day and sleeping well during the night, it seems that I am quite blessed. There isn't much sleep happening during the day - its more like small naps but I can't really complain as he is so good at night.
He is very ticklish under the feet and under his chin and giggles hysterically when I tickle him. He has still got the flat spot on his right hand side and really favours looking to his right so I have been working on getting him to look more to the left and it seems to be working ok. I have heard its quite normal for babies to have a preferential side so I am not overly concerned at this stage.
I was cuddling him the other day and I look down at him and he is like a little Boy now, and not my little newborn anymore :( kinda makes me sad.
I have been reading that some of you are doing Christenings and Baptisms that is lovely. We are doing a combined naming Ceremony for Aidan and another baby girl who are friends of ours. The weird connection is their little girl is 3 days older than Aidan. I went to visit her at Mater Mothers Hospital and went into Labour that night and had Aidan 2 days later and the very weird coincidence is that I got her room, she moved out and I moved in.....creepy!
Anyway ladies, I really hope you are all doing well and feel good about yourselves. I feel a bit depressed at the moment as I need to shift some baby weight and am having a bit of trouble deciding the best way to do it? I think I will go back to Karate as I really enjoyed my lessons. What are you girls going to do?
Anyway I better get Dinner on before Hubby gets back from the Gym.
Love to all!

Kazzo - I have heard with BF that it is possible to get your periods more in the case when you stop BF during the night (ie your baby sleeps through). Am I right in saying that Amelia slept through before 4 months old? My little Damian loves feeding through the night still! But all he does is feed in bed and straight back to sleep so I'm happy with that.
We are actually now happy that the move to QLD didn't work out, because we were looking in some of the areas that flooded! So my gosh, I guess it wasn't meant to be for a reason! We are actually building in the outer suburbs of Sydney, so it looks like we'll be staying put for a while. Just never ended up eventuating & DH is happy where he is atm, even though it is financially difficult, thankfully we got a little bit of help from family.
I can relate to you with growth spurts! OMG Damian has like almost trippled his feeds the last few days... sore nipples alright LOL. I'm wondering if I'll be able to keep up with his ever growing stomach til he's 6 months old without introducing solids... he's a very big hungry boy!
I feel sad for you that your DH didn't get you anything for your anniversary :( That makes me sad. So many men out there take advantage of their wifes and mother of their children. I guess it's true we can take those closest to us for granted - but still! No excuse!!
And yes the love I have for Damian is just out of this world. You never know what feelings you are capable of feeling until you have a child!
Heidi - So glad to hear your DD is OK after that little accident with the pram. I also think that bonds sizing is a bit smaller than what the rest is. Damian is somewhere between those sizes too. I have cleared out my inbox now, except I don't have facebook (I no, I no, crazy lol). I am becoming more & more confident taking Damian out so I would be happy to consider coming along to the gatherings sometime. Feel free to email me danni.anthony@gmail.com too.
Blondie - With pregnancy weight, lucky for me I have gone right back down to what I was before. I think I can thank my little boy for his massive amount of breastfeeding though lol and also not to mention him keeping me on my feet all the time lol. I feel very lucky I was able to bounce back really quickly but I know it's a lot harder for other Mums. I can relate to you with the daytime cat naps and long sleeps at night (although Damian does wake to feed multiple times but dozes straight back off). It's hard during the day only ever having 20min - 40min at a time but I survive somehow lol! Good to hear Aidan has improved with his feedings. And OMG haven't they grown up so quickly!? Gone are those newborn days :( I miss them being so small and tiny too!!!
AFM.... Well tomorrow it will be a year since I found out I was pregnant. Wow, a year of my little baby being a part of my life already :) Boy, thinking back to all that morning sickness etc... seems like a distant memory! Ha how life has changed!! I remember thinking I couldn't imagine my life with a baby, now I can't imagine life without my baby :) And it was DH & my 5 years together the other day. He got me an iPhone 4 & I got him Versace glasses. Very lucky & spoilt!!
Damian was like 7.5kg a week or so ago... lol he's gorgeous and chubby that's for sure! Finding it increasingly harder with his feedings though... A lot of the time during the day he only wants to feed on the move - I really don't like this! He literally refuses to feed with me sitting down - he cries & will literally latch straight back on once I stand up & walk around!! LOL cheeky hey! I hope it doesn't last forever but I really don't know what to do about it. I just want to sit back & relax when I BF! God I love my night feeds... He is happy to lie down & feed, but only when he's sleepy. Grrrr. And he is feeding SO much.. like every 1.5 hours - this has pretty much always been the case. But I guess all that matters is that he is healthy & happy - which he is!
I have found that I have been able to really enjoy the time with him now as he is so much more aware of everything and has so much fun playing with his toys etc - gone are those newborn days of cry cry cry thankfully!
.....Anyone been feeling a decrease in sex drive? LOL sorry to put it bluntly but I just find I'm hardly in the mood these days as I'm really having a hard time switching off "Mummy mode"... Am I the only one???

Hi ladies
Dylans christening went well. The church only went for about 30 minutes so that was good. We do think the reverend may have been drunk though lol she was introducing dylans parents - Daryl and Sheree . . . . lol everyone had a giggle then at the end she just walked out, we were just sitting there wondering if it was over or not. It was also good back at the house, lunch went well and there was enough food for everyone. Dylan got VERY spoilt with gifts again. We got the funiest photo of Dylan with his godfather. Johnnie is holding him and Dylan decided to flip the bird, i didnt even realise when i printed them out lol funny as, the pics are on my facebook if you want to look.
Kaz - my SIL sounds like your aunt except she moans that we never include her in anything and when we do she doesnt come but it seems to be ok for her to have a hens night and not invite us. I have finally had it with her because she didnt bother coming to the christening - my brother said she was sick but he also said she was up drinking till 6am. Happy anniversary, shame about hubby though :(
Heidi - glad you and isabelle are ok from the pram accident, i think the kids are better than the mums. Dylans cousin accidently hit him in the head 2 times on the weekend and i was the one freaking out not Dylan.
Blondie - glad Dylan is not the only one that gets stuck on his tummy, we leave him there till he starts to crack it. As for weight loss, i have been very lazy and not done anything about it. I lost weight while pregnant because i was eating healthy and drinking water - i know i should keep it up but just cant be bothered. If its any help hubby drinks at least 3 ltrs of water a day and when he was off work and didnt drink hardly any water he put on weight - now back at work and drinking water he is losing again.

Hello you beautiful beautiful ladies!!!
I have been MIA for quite some time now! Just had soo much happening and soo much stress I started to hide but I AM BACK LOL!! Can you believe how quickly time has gone now I remember us all waiting for bubs and now here they all are rolling over and getting bigger and bigger by the minute I am too scared to blink!!
Much Love to you all and I shall be back in here catching up for personals you can't get rid of me now ( though you can ignore me hehehe)

Hi ladies,
Danni, Every women is defierent, but there a plenty of people out there that have gotten AF back early and still exclusively BF (even through the night). My SIL and close friend both got theres back before 4 months and my friends boy use to feed 2 times at night. There was a thread started yesterday by someone asking about how soon their AF returned after having bubs. https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...uation-158409/ . Thanks for caring that DH did not.
Tammara, Good to hear the Christening went well. I love the photo of your boy flipping the bird.
Miss K. Good to see you back. Hope everything is going great. I don't think you ever said what you named DD. Is that something you wanted to keep to yourself?
Hi eveyone else.
Macey's Baptism was a great but full on day. I am so glad it is done now. DH also finally realised he stuffed up big time after I told him how dissapointed I was in him and that it made me really sad that he put no effort or thought into our anniversary. He took me shopping and I picked a lovely ring with Macey's birthstone and a dragonfly pendant. Macey got her 4 months needles on Monday. She did great this time. She did not hold her breath and stopped crying as soon as it was done. She still has not rolled but she is getting very good at sitting up for short periods propped up by pillows. She is also now 7kg dressed so she had a great growth spurt like I thought she was. All the feeding and sleeping was definately for a reason.
-
Kazzo - I can't read the link atm but anyway dh and I never trusted it for birth control reasons or anything from the start. Funny that the docs say 99% protection but you just never know! Gosh I am not looking forward to the AF! Hopefully I'm one of those that dont get it until weaning *fingers crossed*
Tammara and kazzo - great to hear your bubbas christenings went well! I was relieved but also sad when Damians was over, it's like hmm what's next lol
I wonder how hubba is and all the other ladies we haven't heard from in a while??? would love to hear how everyones babies are so hopefully someone will pop in and give us an update!
Afm Damian loves standing up and walking now! Lol obviously with support but he loves us holding him up and he moves one foot after the other, it's sooo cute to see him walking like that! And his head control has always been so good even from like 2 months so he has been out of his capsule and into the proper baby car seat for a few weeks now. He completely holds his head strong always for a while now and does sit up too with minimal support. Gosh they grow so fast! He loves giggling a lot now too and occasionally rolling, but only from tummy to back.
Hope all you Mummies and babies are well :)
-
Oh and I forgot to mention... Damian loves playing with my iPhone! Lol he sits there and touches the screen and presses down with his little fingers it's sooo cute and entertains him for a while. He also loves pressing on the keyboard of the laptop when Daddy works from home. It's amazing how much they pick up from you and ate able to copy and remember later on - unbelievable how much their little brains are absorbing! Whoever said babies don't have good memories are surely mistaken lol
-
Hello!
Happy Birthday Eng! Hope your having a lovely day and everything is going well with you.
Danni. All that talk of getting AF, the last three days I have had the pre AF cramps and pains that I usually get. Great, not looking forward to her returning. I was hoping this time I would get a bit longer before I got them back.
SOunds like your little guy is going great. It is funny, when they realise what legs and feet are for it can be hard to get them to bend to sit down sometimes. Macey loves been in her jolly jumper and her swivel chair.
Macey is doing great still. Growing to quick. I had to put her 1st 00's outfit on her the other day. Although she still wears a lot of 000's it is a little sad to see her grow up and there are so many clothes she never wore or only wore once. Her flat spot on the back of her head is completely gone now. Yay. All that effort to correct it worked. She still has a small head though, still in the 10th percentile.
-
Thank you Kazzo.. I had a lovely day.. Yay Macey's flat spot not being flat anymore.. hehe P has one too and I find it hard to turn his head while he is sleeping..
Sorry I havent been on here for a while.. Had heaps going on.. PnD has returned and I have been medicated.. I only wanted a light medication so it seems to be taking the edge of it all..
So the ladies the moles arent just normal moles.. Its something like a mole but if you rub them it can spread, I have to keep his skin out of the sun, no cold water on the mole things.. I have a name for it but right now Im half passed out on my bed.. When I get a minute I will let you all know.. Other than that I just have to keep an eye on them and if they increase in numbers I have to return back to the skin specialist. Also was told they can get itchy.
P gave me the best present ever.. He got his first tooth.. I started getting all teary at lunch when I realised he had cut his tooth.. I knew he was grizzly but thought he was fighting a bug. lol wrong.. In the last 24 hours I have tought him to do air kisses.. yes kisses' he is so cute!! He also said ma ma today.. and ba ba.. a lot of first today.. heheh
Ok Im off to zzz land..
Hope you are all well..
-
I must say, it's nice to see you Mummies back in the thread... I was feeling a little lonely for a while there lol
Kazzo... That's no good about AF! Poor you. Funny about Macey's head size, Damian is actually quite the opposite, around the 90th percentile LOL he is a big boy in general but it really doesn't look that big lol. I feel you about our bubbies growing up too quick...I feel like I was pregnant yesterday :( Oh, how time flies!
Eng... Sorry to hear about P's moles. Hopefully they will stop spreading now. My goodness, what a worry. Congats on his first tooth though... how exciting! Hope things get better for you soon.
AFM...
We have recently commited to building a house, and we were supposed to be in by Christmas, but were just recently told there are big delays & it won't be done til at least next February. That sucks big time. It stu*** our lease up & Damian will be so much bigger then. Grrr.. and this house is so so small! Builders... can't trust them!! Actually, that brings me to ask... anyone here live in a double storey house???? If so, what's it like with a baby/children? I just worry about stairs & having to go up & down all the time. I suppose you'd get used to it though...
Just feeling pretty lucky to be where we are in this country. Hearing all these things about Japan etc and all these people dying is just so sad. Just keep counting our blessings I say!
-
Good to hear you had a great day Eng and that your P had some great presents for you. At least you know what the moles are now. Do you have a treatment for them? I think it is hard for a 2nd or more baby not to get some type of flat spot. When you have only one baby you spend alot of time holding them. This is hard to do 2nd time round. Macey got hers on the right side because at night she only slept on that side so during the day I just kept her on the other side. It was impossible to turn her head while she was sleeping.
Danni, how frustrating for you. It is always so annoying to get excited about something and then it just gets pushed further and further back. I guess having stairs you just need to make sure you get gates for them. Kids just have a fastination with stairs so I don't think you can avoid them wanting to play on them and by the time you move in it will be perfect timing for Damian to be mobile and they will be a big attraction for him. Do you know if they will be carpet or wood? Friends of ours had wooden so they got them carpeted for when their babies are learning to use them so that littles falls where softened a bit.
Well I may have been wrong about AF knocking on my door. Nothing yet but still feeling off. (Sorry TMI) I have been doing a lot of #2's so I am not sure if that is the reason for the cramps. I will see how I go this weekend and might go to the Dr on Wednesday. Just really not a fun subject to go talk about.
I have been looking around a bit and all ladies that sadly left us early are pregnant again. Chody has popped as you all know but Porshe, New mum, Lozzy and now Meggles are all due. Yay for them.
I had a very teary morning today. Amelia loves daycare, but I am a bit worried that she is not really making friends (do they even comprehend how to at this age?) There is one girl there on one of her days that she likes and talks about but even then she goes up says hi and then off she goes to play by herself. She watches the others play like she wants to join but just stands back. She is an extremely polite girl. She has great manners, does not snatch but if someone snatches from her she does'nt do anything just finds something else. It breaks my heart a little to see her like that but hey, like I said she loves going so is could not be that bad really (well for her anyway).
-
Hi there!
For anyone that remembers me, I just thought I'd stick my head in and see how you're all going! Hard to think now that if things had been different I'd have a 4-month-old!
Anyway, I'm doing well, as you can see from my sig, I'm halfway through my current pregnancy, and all seems to be well :) Little Squidge is dancing around as I type! THE best feeling in the world! :bellyrubs: We're keeping the gender as a surprise :)
Congratulations on all your babies, sorry I wasnt around much when they were being born to say congratulations, it was a tough month for me. I feel its quite symbolic that I conceived again just one week after my angel's due date.
Thanks to Blondie for your message of congratulations and reminding me that some of my old friends can be found in this thread :)
I hope you're all well and I shall stalk you periodically to see what is in store for me in the months ahead!
-
Hi Lozzy. I am so glad to see things are going so well for you this time. I will admit I have kept a little eye out for you and occasionally go to your belly buddies group to see how your going.
Goodluck with the next half of your pregnancy.
-
Lozzy - Nice to hear from you & congratulations on your pregnancy. You are really on the most wonderful, magical journey... treasure every moment as it all goes too fast!!! I remember during my pregnancy I so could not imagine my life with a baby... and now I can't imagine my life without my little boy! Funny how things change... well, how EVERYTHING has changed :) And awww you gave me a moment of reminiscing about feeling my baby inside me, boy it feels like yesterday... I miss it soo much! Remembering how much his kicks started to hurt at the end makes me laugh lol. And no matter how uncomfortable it gets (especially towards the end) just remember that it all completely disappears once it's over!
Kazzo - Yeah the stairs will be carpeted. I knew that was important from the start so made sure that was the case. And yes you're right it will be just in time for Damian to be mobile. :o Thanks for the advice!
With Amelia, it really does sound like you have yourself a little sweetheart. I agree with you saying I don't even think they could comprehend how to make friends at that age. I think that as long as she is happy then that's all that matters! And from what you've always said she seems to be smiley, happy and sociable. There's only so much you can teach a child her age, I guess. Although, I can understand your concern. Us Mummies worry about absolutely EVERYTHING! If I were you I'd just keep an eye on it.
Did you end up going to the Doctors? If so, how'd that go? Really strange but I also was having a few days of MASSIVE cramps, really really painful and that was because of #2 lol!!! What a strange coincidence haha. I wondered if it was something that I ate because Damian seemed unhappy too, but I couldn't put my finger on anything.
-
Danni, I have not gone to the Dr's yet, I know I said I would go today if I was still having problems but I kept forgetting to ring to make an appointment so now I will have to wait. I don't really know what is going on. To be honest the thought of been pregnant again has crossed my mind and when I told DH how I was feeling he was thinking the same. He said he even dreamt that I was pregnant again and blaming Amelia. He said I just wanted more babies like her and so I got pregnant again. I don't know. I am to nervous to even comprehend the idea of been UTD again so I am trying to ignore it.
I spoke to Amelia's teachers and they said that it depends on what is happening as to when Amelia joins in or plays by herself. They said that if there is music playing and dancing she always joins in. reading, and playing with the farmyard toy setup are the main times she joins in. Otherwise she likes to do her own thing. I feel better knowing all this.
Macey has been going great. Had a big growth spurt. She has been so vocal the last few days. She makes the funniest noises. I put her in her jolly jumper yesterday and she was happy as long as Amelia was there with her. I now have to sort out what to do about her sleeping arrangements. She is still in the bassinet in my room but it is getting squishy. Amelia still has the cot but uses it as a toddler bed. I will be buying her a big girls bed for her 2nd B'day in May. I might have to get it early though so Macey can have the cot. Or I guess I could set up the porta cot in my room. Specially while DH is away again for 3 weeks again from April 13th. Hmmmm, thinking, thinking.
-
Danni, We have a double story house.. I love it.. The bedrooms are up stairs, the main living area is down stairs. I have a few things down here to save me running up and down.. I have a porta cot down stairs, that way I can keep a close eye on mr sleeping. I also had gates with Ireni at the top and the bottom of the stairs to prevent her from falling and climbing up.. I only have the top gate now as DH family has a history of sleep walking, when Panayiotis starts to get interested in the stairs the bottom gate will return.
Kazzo, I had the same problem with Ireni when I was dropping her of at DC. They told me that its normal, now she talks about everyone and I see her playing with everyone. However I do still see her playing on her own time to time but I think sometimes they need that too.. If things dont change maybe join her for a day at DC..
So did you go to the drs?
Their is no treatment for the moles, we arent allowed to touch/rub them as they will spread.. and to be honest they have spread a little more. Its not easy, cos you cant pick him up with out touching/rubbing them. Plus he has some on his bottom so thats hard when your cleaning him. The doctor said they do go red and will feel itchy so I only have cream for that..
Congratulations lozzy, thats wonderful news!! So happy for you!
afm, Ive been super busy with the kids and the house.. Ive been taking my meds and so far they are ok but I do believe they arent strong enough. Its been hard trying to work out house work and spending quality time with the kids and not doing anything but play with them. I dont know how you girls are doing with the balancing.
Panayiotis has two teeth now and is rolling all over the house. Im thinking of buying him a walker, he seems to be getting bored more now.
I put a Maxi Rider AHR on layby as he is almost out grown his car seat! Ireni was in it for 2 years! I got it for $340 and every $100 I spend at Mothercare/ELC they give me a credit of $5. So I should save another $15+. Also had to buy a new car seat for Ireni, we gave one of ours to my parents. I spent $300 on just Ireni's one car seat and 2 harness'.
Ok off to do some ABC learning with Ireni..
Hope you all have a lovely weekend and I hopefully will find some more time to get online and reply.. I normally read everyones post with my phone.

Hi everyone
Glad to see everyone's babies are developing nicely.
Isabelle has been teething and was a nightmare for a little while, but I got her an Amber necklace two weeks ago and for the past week my normal wonderful baby is back :) No gel or panadol for a week now!!! The last two days I have given her a rusk to suck on which she has really enjoyed. Will have to start solids this week I think.
Take care
Heidi

Hi all. We sure are a quiet group.
Eng, I think every mum must have the same concerns with their child at one point. Everyone I have talked to it about says they worried too. So I know it is all normal now.
Gosh, P little moles sound like they would be really hard to manage. It would be impossible not to spread them.
Heidi. Glad Isabelle is going great. I have heard great things about the necklaces. Amelia had no troubles with teething but I will definately get one if Macey has trouble.
My little Macey still has not rolled and still has no teeth. She does sit up vedry well by herself now though. We have this big elmo thing that helps them stay up and she loves it. Amelia sits infront of her and plays and Macey sits and watches. All us 3 girls have the flu at the moment, Amelia is not to bad, but me and Macey cough alot and my nose, one side is blocked and the other wont stop running.
5 months old this week :)
DH is off to America for 3 and a half weeks on Wednesday. Yay, some piece and quiet. Only downer is he will be gone for my birthday and Easter, so I will have to do all his family things by myself. At least he will be back a couple of days before mothers day, even if he will be working.
Hi everyone else. I am sure you all come and read. I know how hard time to post can be though. I just hope everyone is going well.
-
Hi ladies just a quickie from me (will do personals later).
My gorgeous little baby was 5 months a few days ago!!! OMG I cant believe it... time is going toooo quick! It still feels like I was feeling him inside my tummy yesterday!
DH brought home bronchitis and a sore tgroat virus from the office... then I got the flu really bad (high temp, vomiting, nausea, sore throat, cough etc etc). Still managed to bf through it. Lucky Damian didn't catch anything! He's such a healthy little bub (and not immunised either) and I just am so thankful he didn't catch what DH & I had - I was so worried. It was horrible but we've pretty much recovered now.
No teeth for Damian yet either. He likes to roll from tummy to back but not the other way yet. Still loves standing, can sit up quite well & is very very hungry! Still trying to push out solids as close to 6 months as possible. Still waking every few hours at night but that got worse I think cos he's hungrier. Have bought baby organic rice cereal just in case!
Hope all you Mummies and bubbies are all well. My little man is having a whinge atm... still doesn't like being in the one place for long and gets bored easy... yay for me. Thankfully weather is not so hot these days so can actually get outside.
Love to all xx
-
Hi Ladies..
Hope you are all keeping well..
Kazzo, How are you feeling? I saw your thread the other week but havent had a chance to catch up on it.. Your girls are beautiful! They look so cute in their winter clothes! Its good when they sit up.. Makes it so much easier for their playing.
Danni, when we got home from the hospital DD brought home this horrible gastro.. DH and I both got it. I rang the BF assocation and they said the baby should be protected by my immune system.. So hopefully Damian wont have got anything.
heidi, Ive heard good things about those amber things. My friend used it, she said it was the only thing that gave them peace.
afm, P has been roll n rolling everywhere!!! He too is starting to get bored. He is so cute when he smiles with his two bottom teeth showing.
I have been super busy with organising this christening. We have a total of 42 guests! IM so happy that we got in under 50. All the things I have ordered online look like they should be here next week.. otherwise we might just have to run around here looking for replacement centre pieces.
DD has started playing up again. But this time its worse! Yes worse! I didnt think it could get like this but it has. Im sort of at a loss. My parents have DD two nights a week cos her DC is close to their house, they use to look after her from when she was 6 months old until I took Mat leave. So now she goes to DC they want her to spend some time with them. I know Im very lucky they take her off my hands but Im starting to think maybe my parents give her too much sweets.. And maybe she is coming off a sugar high when she comes home.. Ill just have to wait and see..
Ok well I hope all your babies are doing well... I cant believe mine is 24 weeks old tomorrow! I have booked his injections for Tuesday.. Wish me luck..

Aw, thanks Eng. I love cooler weather. It makes everything so much easier. I think both my girls are winter lovers too, they just seem happier when it is not to hot. I am still in limbo land as to what is wrong with me. I have not been to the doctors or done anything. I am waiting for DH to come back home (6th May). I have to get Macey's needles mid May so I can wait till then I think.
P is almost 6 months, oh boy. Good luck with the needles. Good job with the numbers coming down for the christening too. Fingers crossed your things arrive soon.
I think grandparents use sweet foods to much to make kids happy, I guess you could just tell them to try backing off a bit in the sweets departments, maybe take your mum shopping and put together a snack/treat container with a mix of things, some healthy, some not so healthy and say she can only have so&so amount each day. It is hard. I hate that everytime we see PIL the first thing they try and dpo is give Amelia chocolate. Easter last year was a hassle because I did not lt her have any chocolate at all and I was the made to be the mean mum.
Danni, I hope you and your DH are all better now.
I can see one of Macey's teeth all ready to come through but nothing yet. She still has not rolled but she gets around the room pretty good doing backstroke. Like Heidi I might get an Amber necklace for Macey, Amelia had no problems with teething besides getting bad nappy rash everytime a tooth was about to cut. I read that the necklaces help with this too so I might get it in preperation. If it does help great, if not then it will just be a pretty necklace.
So cute, right now Macey is on the floor and talking ever so loudly. Love the noises she comes out with.
I am going big girl bed shopping for Amelia's birthday present this week. Macey really is growing out of her bassinet, hopefully she can hold out till the 20th of May.

Hello Mummies :hello: ... Happy Easter!
Hope everyone's enjoying your Special 1st Easters with your babies! Geez guys... we're almost done with firsts! Almost half way through the 1st year of our babies lives already... WOW :o
Ooh I really like the idea of this Amber Necklace thank you for mentioning it ladies... I have done some research and I am going to buy one ASAP - boy if this works my god I wish I knew about it back in those colic days!!
Eng - With balancing bub and the house chores... My motto is always baby first! I have let the housework slide since bub has arrived I must admit... But he is soo demanding and needs attention all the time so I really just don't have the time to make the house perfect 100% of the time so I just get DH to help me out & we do it together when he is home so one of us can juggle bub. I just try not to put too much pressure on myself to have everything perfect, I just remind myself that bub is only young once & I need to spend as much time with him playing and just being as I possibly can. Time just goes way too fast.
Hope bubs injections went well & he wasn't too upset. So sorry to hear about the mole condition - I really hope you can find a way to control them as he gets older maybe? That sure would be difficult to live with, for both you & him. Wow - sounds like a big Christening - planning sounds like it's coming along nicely, you must be super busy!
I really hope things settle down with your DD... maybe a good talking to the grandparents & put them into line on what you are happy and not happy to happen whilst you are not there. Hopefully if they realise what they are doing is affecting her negatively they will change their way of doing things. Worst comes to worst I guess you could stop her going there so regularly & send her to daycare instead? If it's really affecting your family that bad I would do something about it for sure. You poor thing.
Kazzo - I hope you & your girls all got over the flu by now. Hope you're going well with your babies without DH being there. That really does sound like a long time without him. You don't seem too bothered about being alone for so long... or are you? I would be! lol. Did you end up finding out what's going on yet with your sickness? Have you ruled out pregnancy? So, have you decided not to use contraception or anything atm?
Wow, Amelia's birthday is coming up so soon! I remember when she turned 1 and you went to the park I think it was... it feels like yesterday!! I definitely love the cooler weather too... and Damian seems to take after his Daddy and feels the heat a lot, so he seems happier which is good. So will Macey be going in her own room once she gets out of the bassinet next month? Oh I can't stand the thought of Damian being out of ours yet lol
AFM - Damian has been going really well... he watches intently at everything around him & loves to touch touch touch! He startles so easily at loud noises... our vacuum cleaner is really loud so I can't even vacuum with him in the house lol! Last time I tried he got soooo upset & cried for ages, I felt so bad! So must be careful with noises... hopefully that will pass sometime soon!
He has been getting a bit grizzly lately at times and has a really strong urge to bite. So I'm thinking he's started teething but nothing has come through yet. I LOVE his toothless grin.. something I'll miss for sure! So cute!!
When I go to lift him up from lying down he has started to pull his head up now, and tries to get up by himself. When he sits against the couch he is that strong that he will lean himself forward and he can steadily hold his own weight sitting up leaning forward by himself for a little while, but still easily topples over.
My gosh, before we know it our little monkeys will be walking!
The other week in a shopping centre Damian just randomly screamed out what sounded just like "MA" which was soo cute!!! I think mama's going to be his first word for sure haha :)
Hope to hear some updates on all you Mummies soon
xx

Hi Danni,
I can not use any form of medical contraceptive, you name it though and I have tried it. I just react to them all. So we have to just use condoms. Unfortunately they are not always failsafe and around when we get the chance so we do withdrawal as well but then that is not always failsafe too. Normally I just chart my cycle so we know when to be really careful but with BF and no cycle that is really hard. So in answer to your question, no I have not ruled that out yet, I am still in limbo land. I will wait till DH comes home and do something about it. I don't really feel sick much, just keep getting cramps on and off.
I love that DH goes away a few times a year. I need him to. It is like our own refresh button. He works alot anyway so I am use to doing most things on my own.
YOur right Amelia's 1st birthday was at a park. This year I am thinking of taking her to playmaze with a few of her friends. She will love it. I am so excited to change her room from a babies room to a big girl room. Macey will stay in my room until she drops her early morning (6:00) feed or winter is over. Stuff getting out of bed to feed her when it is zero degrees. Plus like you, I love her with me.
Sounds like you are going great. I agree with the housework. I find that as long as my house is not dirty, just untidy then I am fine. With the vacuum, when Amelia first started getting scared of it I found a way to get her use to it, might help you. I set it up in our room, turned it on and left the door open. Amelia was it the lounge room. She could here it but it was not close enough to scare her, a few minutes later, I bought it closer (all the time never turning it off) and just kept doing that until eventually she was trying to play with it.
Macey sits up like what you said Damian is too. I went and bought her a Bumbo chair yesterday and she loved it, she sat up in it while me and Amelia where playing on the floor and was so happy and I used it to sit her in while I cooked dinner. between 5pm - 6pm seem to be her witching hour and she just wants to be held. I cook dinner then so hard to do. this chair means she can sit on the bench while I cook.
Agree on the toothless smile. i can see Macey's tooth under the gum, but so far it has not cut.
Well happy Easter all. I have a busy few days ahead. I hope everyone is enjoying this long, long weekend.
-
hi ladies hope you all had a good easter weekend. Thought i would finally come in and read everyones updates and let you know how we are doing.
Kazz - i get what you mean when you say its good when hubby goes away, mine works away alot and it makes you miss them and when they come home i find i appreciate him more and we actually do things together. Is macey still in her basinet? dylan out grew his too fast, he was starting to wake himself up in his sleep when he would touch the sides. Not long till hubby gets home :)
Danni - another thing that might help damien with the noise is to keep a radio or tv on when you put him to bed. I think dylan got use to my dogs sudden outbursts while in my tummy because he doesnt really stir when they go off (luck cos they do it often)
Eng - Glad you were able to get the christening guest list down. Its surprising how many imediate family members you have - i was shocked when i actually wrote the list out. Hope dd is behaving better for you, i think grandparents are the hardest people to deal with but i decided im just going to say what i think and if im the ***** then so be it. When dylan was only 2 months hubbys dad was so pleased to tell me that he gave dylan his first taste of beer i was so ****ed because i wanted to be the person that gave him his first taste of something other than milk. When he told me i just said well you wont be doing that again will you!
AFM and Dylan, he is doing really well he is such a good boy still even when he was sick with the cold he was full of smiles and not terribly sooky. Still no teeth for our little monkey, he went through a little stage where he was chewing everything and dribling heaps but not grizzly so i think they were moving but not coming through yet. I tried him on a rusk the other day but he wasnt interested in it. There doesnt look to be any sign of teeth behind his gums so who knows when he will get his chompers.
He is growing nicely, we measured him the other week and he was 70cm long, he has grown 15 cm since birth he is wearing 00 - 0 clothes depending on the brand. We started him on solids a little while ago and is loving it, its so cute when i get the spoon ready he opens his little mouth ready to eat. Sometimes he gets really savage with the spoon and makes a noise as he bites it lol
He loves to scoot around the floor, he gets his knees up like he wants to crawl but not quite getting there yet. He is very vocal when he is playing with his toys its very cute listening to him. He has learned how to do raspberrys quite well now - even when he has food in his mouth lol
Hubby and i have decided to try and get preg again. I went to see ivf dr last week so fingers crossed next month i will be pregnant and start the ride all over again :)
Enjoy the rest of your week xxoo

How exciting Tammara. I hope it is a quick IVF journey for you. If you don't mind me asking, will this be with your cousins egg again?
Yeah Macey is in the bassinet still, she has a little more room left. She has slept unwrapped since she was born, so touching the sides does not wake her, Luckily.
Make sure you come in here and let us know how the IVF goes. and keep putting up those adorable pictures on FB. He is one cute bubba boy with a huge smile.
Okay little vent from me. Why can't people with sick kids just stay home. We had lunch on Sunday with DH family (thought I would do the right thing even with DH away). SIL turns up and announces straight away that her DS (3) woke up with a fever, is feeling yukky and has been coughing. I get that it is a family occasion and thatI is nice to have all family together, but geesh you son is sick, there are going to be other kids there and they sure don't want to get sick.
So DD1 wakes up this morning with a temp, coughing and throws up all her breakfast. She was perfectly fine yesterday Morning. I can hear her in bed asleep now, she is snoring because her nose is all blocked and she keeps waking up coughing. My poor bubba girl. We are meant to be going to the Easter show on Wednesday but does not look like she will now ( I have to go regardless).
Okay Vent over now.
-
Vent away i totally agree with you about brining sick kids around others - beside the fact that others might get sick unless you MUST attend i think its best to keep the child at home comfy in bed anyway. Thats my opinion though.
Yes we have 6 embrios frozen still so we have a few chances. I was going to ask the dr to put 2 embrios back but he sugested just one because we got preg with one embrio first go and they are excellent quality (he told me my cousin would be in high demand they that good). So we will try with just one tranfer this round and if it doesnt work i will ask for 2 to be transfered. We are not telling anyone we are trying because i dont want to keep answering the "are you pregnant" questions. Hopefully in three or four months we can surprise everyone with good news. If we are not as lucky as we were first go we will try till for 6 months or until we use all the embrio's then game over. I have just turned 36 and dont want to be too old to have another. So even though we have medicine behind us if we are meant to have another it will happen if not we are VERY lucky to have our beautiful boy.
And yes i will keep putting pics up, its a good way for family 300ks away to keep up to date with him - he is growing so much plus i love showing my boy off lol. Did you see the easter vid and pics? he really wanted to get into the eggs, had to hurry and get the pic before he got through the wrapper. I enjoy looking at you and blondies pics they are very cute :)
-
Hi Mummies... hope you & your bubbies are all keeping well!
Kazz - That is really interesting regarding your reactions to contraception. We're only using a condom too, because I don't like the side effects of the pill on me, and inserting a IUD comes with infertility risks (no thanks, don't think i'm finished in that department), and cos I'm bf I want to be ultra safe. Gosh, now you've got me worried lol... are condoms really that ineffective!? Just glad I don't have my periods yet still! :)
Good luck. I found out I was pregnant with an ultrasound due to me having lots and lots of on and off cramps - I thought it was a cyst!
:o I TOTALLY agree with you about parents not keeping their sick children at home! How selfish is it!!?? There would not be massive outbreaks of the flu and whooping cough and you name it if people just had decency and common sense and kept their children at home. It's something that really bothers me. A very irresponsible thing to do. Yes I understand people may be busy, work, etc and it may be hard to keep your child home but when it's health, thats what should come first. I feel so sorry for Amelia, not fair. How is she feeling now?
I listened to your advice re the vacuum cleaner, and had DH turn it on whilst I was holding & playing with Damian in another room. At first it still really scared him but eventually we got closer & closer. He was getting better but I think I'll have to do it all over again next time. Thanks for the advice. Just gotta get him used to the noise I suppose. It's just random loud/jumpy noises that scares him. He's good with noises in general (falls asleep in shopping centre etc).
Have you started Macey on solids yet?
Tammara - My little D is in 00 now too, and bordering 0 in some brands. My gosh they grow quick don't they! I feel like we're constantly going up in clothes sizes lol. How old did you start bub on solids and how much do you give him? How's he sleeping at night? I would have been so angry if my FIL did that - sorry, but he so so does not have the right. We don't talk to my in-laws, so problem solved lol. Aw the raspberry phase is soo cute lol Damian went through that at about 3 months old when he did it all the time but it didn't last long. I think he forgot about it.
 going to get pregnant again now hey! Good luck, and may the journey begin!! Keep us updated with how it all goes.
Ladies.... can you post some pics of your bubbies up on here?? I would soooo love to see some!! I will get one of Damian up on here when I can too, (I think I do it through my photobucket account).
-
hi danni i actually started dylan on solids at just under 4 months, i usually give him 1 tin per day 1/2 at lunch 1/2 for dinner. Im not sure what the reccomended amount to give him is but he seems to play and spit it out when he has had enough. At first i just gave him 1/2 a jar but he got hungrier. Unfortunately he still doesnt sleep through :( he goes through stages sometimes he will sleep till about 5ish then other times (lately) he will wake at 1ish then about 4. It is so cute listening him talk to himself and make big noises at the moment he is playing with his uncle making high pitched sounds lol
Glad the vacuum trick worked a little, hopefully when you do it a couple of times he will get use to it.
I would be happy to put a pic on here but i have no idea how to, if you can give me idiot instuctions to do it i will. Or if you have facebook you can add me - let me know i will email you my details. I like showing my boy off lol its good to see the other babys as they grow plus they are cuties
-

think i got the album up, i only put 3 pics in because the others say the pic is too big and im not sure how to resize them. I will try and add some more but at least there is a couple.
Was looking at baby P's christening photos - HOW CUTE, you did an amazing job on the decorations you should be very proud of yourself :)
We had a bit of an eppisode with Dylan a few days ago, the poor lil bugga was waking up screaming - unconsolably screaming, it was that bad that we took him to the hospital incase he had something internal but after poking and proding they said there is nothing internal so we can only think it was a bad case of wind or he had a bug.
We stopped his solids just incase that was too heavy for him for three days but he has been getting hungry so i made my own vegies for him tonight and gave him just a little and so far all is well. Fingers crossed it was just a passing thing, it was so frustrating not being able to consol the poor lil man.
Have a good day tomorrow :)

Hello Mummies
Just managed to get a photo of me & my family up for you to see :D (hope it works)
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...6-r0014127.jpg
Finally a face to my name now!! :)
I will definitely get on and post more of bub when I have the chance!
And Tammara OMG how CUTE is your little man! I hope he feels better now xx I know how you feel Damian had bad colic and the first 2 months were HELL for us with inconsolable crying
Gosh it's late, I'm gonna hate myself in the morning lol better go now!
HOPE TO SEE SOME MORE PICS OF YOU ALL LADIES!!!!!
-
Good morning ladies.
Tammara. I hate that type of crying, it makes your heart ache. I am glad it was nothing major. I hope he does not have anymore of them. That is so great that you have the same eggs to implant. I hope it all goes reaaly smooth for you. How exciting.
Danni, I have not started Macey on solids, well on purpose anyway. While having dinner at my dads, I had Macey on my lap and without noticing she fad grabbed a peice of baked potato and was sucking away. She spat it all out but she liked doing it. I am going to try baby led solids with her so I am just waiting a little longer.
I clicked on your link but nothing came up.
All going good here. DH home on Friday, not looking forward to the early wakeup to pick him up though.
Okay going to attempt to put a photo in now. But you have to be in my contacts to see it.
Ok, should be an album there now.
-
Oops link prob not working as my album is set to private. My photo is in album too but you also need to be in my contacts.
Damians crying so gotta go be back later x
-
Hi Kazz
Damian isn't on solids yet either, on purpose. I have decided to bf exclusively until his 6 months old (OMG that's next Monday!!!). He is a very hungry boy and loves getting into everything so I am so sure he is going to love his food!
I have had a look into baby led solids as you mentioned you are doing that and I haven't heard of it before, and I quite like that idea! I have been all for feeding on demand and letting bub decide how much milk he wants and when etc so it is seeming like a great idea... but I wouldn't really know how to go about it so I still need to do some more research and talk to DH.
If we don't go down that route, we will be introducing bub to his first bit of rice cereal on his 6 months bday! SO exciting and a milestone as he won't be purely living on my milk anymore, aww.
He is definitely more than ready though and has been for a little while.
AND... AWWW I had a look at your photos!!! So nice to finally see you after all this time :) Your girls are absolutely adorable, you must be so proud :) Very cute!
Mummies, I have put a few photos on my album  so if you'd like to have a look then just add me as a friend I think it is, as once your in my contact list then you can see them.
Hope everyone is well... I cant WAIT for my 1st Mothers Day on Sunday!! DH is surprising me with some plans, a very special day! And the next day bub is 6 months old! Another huge milestone, and I will be starting him on solids that day too most probably, hopefully the high chair will get here on time lol.
-
Well after saying I was going to wait to start Macey on solids she got her first real taste tonight. She was sitting in her Bumbo while I was eating and every bit of food that I picked up she tried reaching for and was getting really frustrated that she was not getting anything. So I gave her a chunk of Broccolli and a chunk of Cauliflower. She loved the broccalli. The sounds she was making, so funny. She mostly just sucked at it but a peice did come off which she coughed at a little but was fine. So we have begun I guess as they say to start BLS when your bubs gives you signs they are ready and well she sure showed me.
I never started Amelia with and rice cereal, we just went straight to puree's that I made so I wont do that with Macey either.
How exciting that some of you ladies are getting your first mothers day. It is my favorite day of the year now. Luckily DH will be home. He is working till 1pm but I am glad. Now we can do our own thing in the afternoon and not run around for his family. After 3 weeks by myself I would like a day all about me. I can't wait to hear what surprises you get and how Damian goes with his first feed.
Yep I am super duper proud of my girls. Best accomplishments in my life by far.
Your guy is adorable. He has a huge smile. Your happiness shows in your face.
-
Kazz are you going to be doing the full on baby led solids, like no puree's or feeding with a spoon and just letting bub decide what to eat sorta thing? Or did you mean just waiting for her to make the first call that she is hungry? Boy, there are so many versions and ways of doing things lol.
Enjoy your mothers day, it's already my fave day of the year! Nice to have the focus and pampering for us Mums for a change! glad DH will be home for you too.
How did you go with the amber necklace? did you end up getting one?
And yes my boy does have the most big beautiful smile :) hehe cute hey.
-
I guess I will be doing my own version of BLS. I will still be feeding her things like yoghurt so I will help encourage her with a spoon. But if she wants to use her hands, so be it. Amelia still likes using her hands most of the time.
Hopefully my Amber necklace will be here this week. I had to wait for the colour I wanted. Can;t wait to see how it goes.
Had a dreadful morning with Amelia. I am wondering if she is having abandoment issues. Last week and this week she has not wanted to go to day care. Last week was not to bad, but today. She stayed there in tears and I left in tears. She was hysterically crying and clinging so tight to me. She has been talking a lot about daddy and where he is so I think maybe she is really worried that I am leaving her and not coming back for her. Poor bubba. I am going to pick her up early and take her to the park to see the duckies. So glad DH will be home on Friday.
