    Hi!

Natasha - I hope you're bracelets sell well!! Sorry I'm not much of a customer for you with 3 boys - lOL! Wow - how fantastic your mum & dad are going away for their anniversary - sorry to hear you guys will miss them so much though. Dh's parents are off to Europe on Sunday so we're going to take the boys to the airport to see the planes and see them off! We're hoping next year to have a trip to Qld to take them to wiggles world - would be so exciting to take them on a plane!!!

Kylie - Wow on Logan having 2 teeth as well!! Wow on the solids - that sounds interesting! We're just doing puree's here...

As for us...Louis started back at kinder today and Dylan & Ethan are sound asleep which is nice - although I'm dreading having to wake them up to go and pick him up! Gorgeous weather - finally catching up with all my washing which is great!
Ethan is going well although the poor thing is getting used to his solid poo's and had a cry doing one today...it wasn't rock hard or anything but I just think he's not used to them yet...poor thing...
He's loving so much at the moment which is great - we just discovered he loves going upside down!! Gently of course but giggles when we flip him over!! Finally, he's starting to giggle heaps when we tickle him which is so cute...I always said I love it when bubs get to 6 months + and we're getting there!!! I can see the changes in him a lot at the moment where he's actually happy to sit down on his own for 10min which helps when the other 2 need stuff...

Ok...another load done - better hang it out while the house is quiet!! Chat later!

    Hi Everyone

Kylie - thanks for the internet suggestion, will look into it! I'd never heard of Baby Led feeding before. We haven't started solids yet - chubba bubba can wait until she's 6 months. I'm not looking forward to it - I love the easy option of being able to feed on the run with no prepartion of breastfeeding! I'm also worried about Lily's poo's once she starts as she's not the best with them at the moment!

Kristie - Would love to tke Pip to Wiggles World too! We went to Perth last year with her while I was pregs with Lily & lkets just say the flights were interesting! I've told DH our next flight will be to Tassie - nice & short! My parents are going to Europe as well. Malta first then all over. Their flight leaves at 2am though so the girls won't be going to the airport! At least now that Lily sleeps through I'll be able to go.

Lily has been been rolling around all over the place today. She is so cute - my content little bunny! Always laughing & smiling. She is always trying to sit up on her own from lying don. She must have great abs with all those sit ups! ha! She has started to pull Pipers hair! Piper is not impressed - I told her that Lily is now getting her basck for all the bumps & bites & annoying things she does to her! Lily can now sit up on her own for a tiny bit. I can't believe how fast everythoing has gone! I so hope that I get a chance to do it all again - but I'm not going to worry about that now. Just enjoying my 2 girls.

We went to the Williamstow Market on Sunday & it was Lily's first time sitting up in the pram - our first time using the Phil & Teds in double toddler mode! She loved it! It was so cute!

This weather is so beautiful. Hung out the washing, vacuumed & mopped & now I am buggered! Our place gets so messy & it is driving me insane! Doesn't help that DH leaves a trail of work clothes all over the house when he gets home!

Ok, I'm off to check out that intrnet provider.

    Ciao Cioa ladies & babies!

    Natasha xx

    Hi!

Logan's first proper solids poo was exactly the same Kristie, he was crying in my arms whilst he was doing it and it was messy and stinky!!! That was Monday, still waiting for the next one to arrive. Knowing my luck that will probably be today whilst we are out for lunch with our mum's group. My whole mother's group has joined a playgroup. We are very excited as it means we don't have to worry about finding a place each week to meet up.

Natasha - there is a link to a forum on here in relation to Baby Led Solids if you are interested I will post it https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums/baby-led-solids/ I'm over housework too - house open for inspection today

    Hi!

    Happy Belated Mothers Day!

We're all sick again...grrr! So the boys are a bit feral being stuck at home but it must be done!

Ethans well, went through an ordinary couple of weeks with him sleeping badly feeding heaps but it obviously was a bit of a growth spurt because he's now getting ready to crawl! He's getting himself up on all 4's and having a rock - sooo cute!!

Natasha - Sounds like LIly's going really well! Aren't they gorgeous at this age? Ethan is loving my singing songs and giggles at peek a boo...How is that all of a sudden they're a little helpless baby and the next they're turning into an interactive little person?? It's so amazing!

Kylie - What a great idea to have your mums group join a playgroup! Hope Logan's poo's are ok - Ethan seems to have settled now which is good..I'm just making sure he has a little drink of water with every meal as well which has helped as well...

Ok..must get organised - it's very quiet in here - hope you're all well!

    Hi!

Alyssa - Charli soundsl ike she's doing really well! LOL at not liking the computer - if I'm holding Ethan and even walk over to it he starts grizzling - LOL!

We just had his 6m MCHN weigh in! He's my little lightweight weighing in at a grand total of 6.9kg! I'm still rocking him to sleep which is a bit of a bugger but I can't quite bring myself to do controlled crying so that's the way it will stay at the moment...it's only a problem if I think it is so we're all good! It doesn't take much - only a couple of minutes...I think him being my last baby he's going to get away with way more than the other 2 - LOL!

Ok...better think about dinner- it's turned very dark here in Melb..feels like 6pm already!!

    Chat later!

    Ok im back.

Mak- Oh my, i dont think i could handle a greek family i overeat on special occasions as it is. lol. Yay on the toilet training, that is awesome, with she was about 21 months when we toilet trained her for days and 23months she was toilet trained at nights, its alot harder at night because some kids drink alot before bed and some dont. i just noticed alyssa didnt have any wet nappies over night so i stopped puting them on her, only had 3 or 4 night accidents which was great.

Krisvee- Poor Ethan with the poo, charli was the same, she screamed the first couple of times, still gets upset sometimes although lately its been good, just very stinky. Glad hes better now though. Wow Ethan is getting big, i weighed charli myself up at the family resource centre last week and shes up to 7.57kg, almost time to turn her carseat around Haha on the getting away with a lot more, the young ones do tend to eh? charli is already spoilt rotten im sure that will come back to bite me in the butt. I'm so sorry i havent messaged you yet, i feel so rude, im right round the corner from u. lol. Whats days are you free, my best days are thursday and friday would that suit u for a catch up??? I'm sure charli and ethan would love to have someone there own age to play with or atleast look at. haha.

Natasha- Can u pm me your website? Charli does the same thing, try's to sit up when i lay her down, always on the change table shes forever trying to roll off and sit up, dont think there is abs there though, just rolls of fat. hehe.

Kylie- I too am doing the BLS thing, charli gets so frustrated though when she doesnt get enough in her mouth she cracks it and i have to hold it for her while she holds my hand to her mouth, lazy lil rascal although shes getting better, its those slippery bananas and pears that are the worst. She even had ravioli last week with a tiny bit of tom sauce and grated cheese, she loved it, was a lil worried about how the acidity in the tomatoes would go with her but so far so good. What do you give logan for brekkie???

Was so cute this morning, alyssa was vacuming with her lil cleaning caddy and charli wanted it so she was following alyssa round trying to get the vacum, was super cute, she ended up comando crawling a good 5-6 metres in a matter of minutes, she getting very quick. Just the other day she got the instruction manual for the PS3 under the coffee table and tried eating it, DP wasnt very impressed but told him serves him right for leaving it there.
Alyssa is booked in to see a Paed early next month, shes been having alot of tummy aches accompanied by throwing up and my GP has finally referred me after almost a year of telling me it was stomach bugs and gastro. Today i had to do a stool sample and OMG it was disgusting, for a 4yr old she has a very stinky butt, i was literally dry reaching

Well i better go get that washing outa the machine,

    Bye for now.

Alyssa - wow on Charli moving already. Logan still won't roll from back to tummy. He is just so contented on his back. He has almost got there by reaching for something, but it's like he realises at the last minute lol.

Kristie - I hope you are all feeling better. Logan had an awful night after mothers day. He hadn't had a poo for 7 days. He wouldn't sleep or let me lay him down and just wanted to sit up and play with me. I had him in my bed to try and get him to sleep but he just wouldn't. At midnight I got up, sat him on the floor with his toys and told him to play. He did for half an hour before the grunting started, and the crying.... By 1am he had done his poo which wasn't even hard it was just uncomfortable. He slept like a log after that but woke at 7 so I didn't get a sleep in. He made up his sleep later in the day though by sleeping for 4 hours straight!!! He has been ok since then so hopefully he has settled down now. OOh I can't wait to hear that Ethan is crawling, so exciting.

Natasha - How did you go with the internet?

Logan weighed 8.5kg at his 6 month appt, looks like he is the chubbiest bubba here!! He is getting so heavy to carry now. We are slowly getting there with the BLS, it is so much fun but was interesting having my mum stay with me for a couple of days. I showed her the book and she watched from a distance. It was good that she didn't say too much about it hehe.

We all must live around Melbourne - we should organise a day catch up somewhere central one day. I would love to meet you guys We are moving in a week into our first home which is soooo exciting. Mortgage docos are all signed now, just waiting for settlement. I am already over the packing...... it's so much trickier to do when you have a baby.

Thats so awesome Kylie, a catch up sounds like a great idea. I hear ya on the packing, i was so over it the day after i started. Luckily my mum and sister were kind enough to unpack half the house for me Lets just hope your mum is that kind

LOL @ logan being a chubby bubby, the chubby ones are always so cute, i love the rolls, hehe. Poor baby on the poo, charli does that sometimes i think how hard its gonna be and then it comes out all liquidy and stuff. She doesnt let me push her legs up anymore, she kicks them away, but luckily shes getting better not worse.

    Hi Girls!

Happy Mother's Day to you all - a bit late but hopefully your kids and partners spoilt you all on the day!

Wow to the moving bubba's - there is not much happening here - perhaps it is bc she is sooo chubby....it must be a bit hard to get momentum up. DD1 also took ages to move - so looks like we're on the same kinda timeframe!

I am also trying the BLS approach - even though she is quite large DD2 is not that keen on eating, she is still pretty much BF. I guess their tummies are quite small - mind you she does crack it if she drops whatever she is sucking on. I can also relate to the painful pooing - man it is not pretty is it??!!!

Alyssa's mum - Vegemite toast is a big winner here for breaky - or fistfuls of porridge smeared everywhere.....not sure how much actually gets eaten but I guess that;s all part of the fun.

Kylie - Good luck on the moving! I have also had some interesting comments on the BLS approach too - although it sounds like you managed to avoid that! Amazing how people feel the need to help - even when they are not invited too! We are off for a weigh in tomorrow and Ash was 7.3kg at 4months - just to make you feel better!

Natasha - Hope you had luck with your internet - the Williamstown market sounds fun, is it on regularly?

Krisvee - We tried cc for a while with DD1 and it didn't work for us - just made me really upset. Hope sleep has come easily for you today - whatever works for you all!

Have a great weekend girls - we are having a few nights on our own whilst DH is at a conference. I was a bit worried as both the girls have been sleeping pretty badly but we're actually having a great time doing our own thing.... Not what I expected!!!! Enjoy those beautiful babies they are growing up way too fast!!!!

    Hi Ladies

Sounds like everyone is well which is great! I'll start off with my little Pumpkin! Lily started solids on saturday & is not very impressed at all. Won't open her mouth for it so have to get Piper to make her laugh & then I shove it in! She loves rusks though, so will know start this babyled feeding business as she seems o like to do it herself. Yesterday I just gave her the spoon & she fed herself a little. Still only brekkie with us - rice cereal & aple puree. I think I may start on a little lunch tomorrow. I feel like a new mum - I so can't remember how to progress with the feeding. Lucky I'm more chilled out with Lily! ha!

Lily took 4 days to poo after we started on solids. It was like peanut butter but god did i smell! She has 2 teeth now & I think her top ones aren't far away as she has been a little grizzly. Had her needle on Thurs. I think she hates the rotavirus syryp as much as the needle. On the other hand Piper asked our dr if she could have the needle for Lily. Should I be worried? ha! MCHN weighed Lily in at 7.66kg & thinks that the other nurse we saw made a mistake at the last weigh in as it means she only put on 55g. Lily is rolling & going commando like crazy. Poor bubs gets stuck under the tv unit & you should hear her go off when the couch is in her way! How cute are they!

Kirra - Good to hear Charli is doing so well. Lily sits for a little before rolling forward. Poor Alyssa with her tummy. I hope that all is ok with her. As for her stinky butt, Piper my nudest is forever sticking her bum in my face & forcing out farts. It is killing me! She calls herself the Fartiste after this book we got from the library. What a piglet!

I'll pm you the website address. I still have to add a few more things on there but am having trouble with my terrible internet situation! I was pretty wrapped the other day, a woman contacted me as she'd like me to put my baby slippers in her store, so fingers crossed. If you're interested in any of the jewellery but I don't have the colors you're after let me know as I'm happy to make up any whatever way you like! Just waiting on some more beeads etc as we speak!

Kylie - still haven't done anything about the internet. Its so confusing, had to get my brother to look at it all. Aparently most of the providers are doing this internet & voip thing so may end up doing that. We'll see! I notice that you'r in werribee at the moment. Is your new house there too? I'm not too far away, in Hillside (sydenham). Logan is a chubba! That's so cute!

Kristie - how cute that Ethan is ready to crawl! POor bubs with his poos! What's with all of our babies & their poos! Hope that you are all feeling better now. There's nothing worse when one gets sick & it just goes around & around!

I think its a good idea for all of us to catch up some time soon - maybe in the city somewhere. Is that central to everyone?

Ok, well, I'm going to go. The girls are asleep, DH is at work(probably freezing to death! He works at the docks so gets the chill off the water. Better him than me!) so I now have some ME time to do my nerd activities like finish the cardigan I'm making for Pip, plus I have some bracelet oreders to put together.

Have fun everyone. Hope to hear from you all soon - hope I get some notifications!

    Ciao lades babies!

Wow, Mak, we must have posted at the same time!

My Lily sounds like your little one with the eating!

The Willamstown market is on every month - every third weekend I think. It really slows down now beacsue of the weather though, which is a shame. Are you close by?

Have fun with the girls on your own - as bad as it sounds, every so often its ni to have them all to yourself isn't it!

    Ciao

Mak- LOL @ the fistfuls of porridge, i gave charli weetbix once with her spoon and she threw the bowl and it broke in half (melamine one) so i went and got one of those suction ones, shes not to fond of it though, prefers to eat directly off the tray, shes too short to see into the bowl. haha. I've been giving her weetbix with EBM foir brekkie and i accidently tasted some this morning and i nearly spewed. it was so gross.

Natsha- PMSL @ piper, thats so funny. Thx for the link i'll check it out as soon as i get a chance.

We are all sick now, alyssa has a sore throat and a cough and DP and I woke up this morning with a sore throat, just great that is, charli has been sooky all day so im guessing shes sick too, been giving her some paracetamol cause even if she isnt it must be her teeth or both

Better go get some rest, no doubt my lil munchkin will be awake soon enough.

    Hi all,
I just discovered that you're all still here, for some reason BB hasn't notified me since January of any posts. I'll try to catch up with how everyone is when I get the chance but as we're all getting to the really interesting bit, so many changes everyday, I think it might take me a while.

My Katie is doing really well. She's been on solids for about 4 weeks now, is up to 3 meals a day, and eats like a horse. We're feeding her at the moment and she's so cute when she sits there with her mouth open waiting for the next spoonful, and woe betide you if you're a bit slow with it! Haven't really looked into BLS, but it sounds like it's worth considering. I was reading this week that breast milk should be the major source of nutrition until they're 12 months and that the solids at this stage are just for practice! We'll have to see how I feel when she gets some teeth...ouch! A lot of drool today...they may be imminent.

She's a relaxed (lazy?) little sod, rolled over for the first time tonight and is not sitting up by herself yet. But she's extremely happy and so therefore so are we. Not sleeping through the night yet though, but usually only up once a night. Is in a pretty good night routine though, goes down between 6 & 7pm, and gets up between 6 & 7am. Days are completely different. She usually has at least 2, if not 3 naps, but they can last anywhere from 20 minutes to 3 hours.

We've persisted with the cloth nappies, much to DPs chagrin, although he insisted on paper for night time and I didn't have the will to fight him on it. And if I don't have cloth ones out ready he reaches for the paper ones then too...sigh.

I've managed to get into a great playgroup (formed from our parents group at the clinic) so have had great support on the ground here.

It's all about to get a bit trickier though as I am going back to work next week because DP hasn't been able to get work since Katie was born. It's only about 16 hours a week and mostly from home, thank goodness, but even so, I don't know where I'm going to find 16 hours! And to top it all off my mum is going in for heart surgery on Wednesday. Luckily my sister, a nurse, is coming down from Brisbane for a couple of weeks to be with her, and several of my other siblings live nearby as well.

The clinic tells us we should be going to get the whooping cough vaccine for free from our GP. Has anyone else gotten it yet?

Kirra, hope you guys are all feeling better soon.
    Ciao everyone else

    AJ

FB- Katie is so cute, think yourself lucky shes not moving too much, means u dont have to worry about her getting into everything yet. lol. I'm still yet to properly baby proof the house. I've decdided im just gonna keep lots of doors closed. lol. I do need a safety gate for my dining-lounge room doorway but its almost 1.5m wide so im still looking. She can't get around on the tiles yet anyway, too slippery for her. hehe

Playgroups are so good, i dont know what i'd do if i didnt have mine. I hadnt heard about the whooping cough vaccine. But i shall look into it, thanks for the heads up

Still feeling crappy today, charli slept for a good 6.5hrs but then woke up every hour after that and i've been awake since about 5.30am cause she woke up and did a poo and once i changed her stinky butt she wouldnt go back to sleep. i tried though...lol

I had assumed that this was a national scheme but I guess it's possible that it's only the ACT.

I feel your pain. Even though Katie went back to sleep for 3.5 hours after her 2.15am feed, I couldn't. I used to be able to drop straight off after the night feeds but that magic seems to have gone for the moment.

FB- the vaccine is given to them in victoria with their usual imms (check your baby health book)but its mixed it with something else apparently and its called Pertussis so Charli and Alyssa have both had it but charli still needs another dose with her next imms. Phew i got a lil worried there. haha

Kirra, I was referring to the free whooping cough vaccine they're giving to parents (and 'eligible' grandparents). Apparently a lot of adults are getting it and thinking its just the flu, and then passing it on to their kids, so until end of July it's free for us at our GP.
